Powers/abilities: Spirit Companion: Yancy is followed by a benign poltergeist he dubbed Frank. Can use him to fight or simply listen in on secret conversations. Though he mostly just uses him in his act.
Portal Maker: Yancy can open doorways between two points and travel through them. As expected, this is handy for pulling crap out of his hat and making people vanish.
Weapons (if any): Carries a 9mm pistol. He gets robbed surprisingly often.
Personality: Bombastic and loud, as befitting his profession. Has a soft spot for kids.

Bio: September 13th, 2000. The worst day in Yancy Millers life. Turns out when 80% of the world suddenly develops magical powers, it makes "professional" magicians rather obsolete. Ever since he was a kid, Yancy had wanted to be a magician. And he was good at it too. Rising from kids birthday parties, then retirement homes, yadda yadda, to notable gigs. He was set to make his debut in Vegas (No place worth note, but Vegas is Vegas) on September 14, 2000. You can guess how that didn't work out. To add insult to injury, Yancy developed powers that would have made him the next David Copperfield. Instead he's stuck doing the only job he's good at for the meager few people still entertained by old-fashioned magic tricks.
Current location/situation: Working in a hole in the wall bar for a piddly paycheck and a place to sleep.
