This, my friend, is a bid for the eleventh edition of the Campionato Esportiva by the nations of Yttribia and Nephara.

Yttribia
IC Information:
Heartstopping, thrill-seeking, shocking. Yttribia has finally brushed off that "bad luck" they've always had when it came to international football. With nearly twenty wins in the past twenty-five matches, Yttribia are beginning to climb up the tower of power. Fast. Emerging out of the ashes that was the Corvax regime, Yttribia are beginning to return back to the democratic, free nation it once was. One of the economic powers on the continent, Yttribia wants to spread the joy of the to the Inferiore continents once more. And now, with the whole nation united under eleven men on the pitch, it's time to spread that unity Esportiva deserves with the beautiful game.

You know, for a relatively new user like yourself, you do have quite the bit of experience. Present since Cycle 67, and actively praising Vilhjalmsson writing the story of the Yttribian people since then. The user behind this nation has scorinated a conference, and regional in NSCAA 6 (college basketball), was the host of the Ultimate Cup IV, the second Beltane Cup, and is currently co-hosting the sixty-first Cup of Harmony with Valladares. As Mastille, the user has hosted the eighth Under 15 World Cup successfully, and without troubles.

IC Information:
Eleven Campionati. Eleven years since Nephara was beaten on home soil. Eleven players on the pitch, defending that record. Nephara, as winner of three of the five Campionati they've contested and current holders, have firmly established themselves as a regional powerhouse and a growing presence internationally. A first-world social democracy, Nephara represents a beacon of stability in a very troubled time for Esportiva, as is fitting for a tournament uniting the region. It's been eleven years - and the Cormorants are willing to take on all-comers to defend that record further.

OOC Information:
Here since the 64 cycle, and actively RPing with two nations since then, Nephara is an established member of the region and a familiar face in the community as a whole. They'd like to believe, by now, that the time's right to step up their commitment to the region - co-hosting this tournament is the natural first step. Hosting experience is limited to the most recent Rugby League World Cup, which was held competently and without issue.

How will the tournament be run?
Scorination and RP
Scorination wise, we plan on using xkoranate 0.3.3, with NSFS3 formula being used. When it comes to RPing, a cumulative RP bonus will be used. Rosters shall be graded on a scale of 0-3, with RPs themselves will be graded on a scale of 0-2. Quality over quantity, when it comes to the RPs.

Format
Seeing we're at thirty-one sign-ups as of this post being written, we've come up with three favorable formats, depending on the number of sign-ups.

A thirty-six team tournament, in which six groups of six will take place, with the top two from each group, along with the four best third placed teams, moving on to the round of sixteen. A forty team tournament, in which eight groups of five would compete, with the top two moving on to the round of sixteen. Lastly, a forty-eight team tournament, consisting of eight groups of six, in which the winners would move on directly to the round of 16, whereas the second and third placed teams from each group would participate in the round of 24. The winners move on to the round of 16.

Format may be changed, or modified in case these numbers are not met by either co-host.

If all of these tie-breakers don't break the tie up, a one-match play-off shall be played to determine positioning.

Formal Bid for the Campionato Esportiva 11 - "The Cup for Stars"

From the snowy and magnificent lands of southern Esportiva; to a splendid archipelago island just off the south of Yttribia; and all kinds of places in between; the Campionato Esportiva has had an impact on nations all over the multiverse for ten editions. And now, the nations of The Sarian and San José Guayabal are ready to bring this wonderful region another edition of the most prestigious football tournament in the region, the eleventh Campionato Esportiva.

This bid is centred around getting as much involvement as possible in the competition. To create a space where participants enjoy performing RP individually or collectively through cooperation in order to strengthen the history of each nation, and the links between the participating nations.

The Hosts

The Sarian

Sarian, or just Sari, is a friendly and active user in Esportiva, and through NSSports as a whole, since bursting into the sporting scene in the 54th Baptism of Fire, a tournament he finished second in, he has been a consistent RPer, taking him to the 59th and 60th Cup of Harmony before achieving his dream of qualifying for the World Cup on his third attempt. In terms of hosting experience, he has organized the Beltane Cup, hosting the first edition along with the 17th and 19th World Lacrosse Championships. He has also scorinated his domestic league for four seasons.

The Federated Isles of The Sarian, The Sarian Federation or simply Sarian is a group of Islands in Esportiva, headed by Chief Executive Fredrik Elwing, who took power following a series of assassinations and murders.

The principal islands are about 300 miles (500 km) east of Infore Major. The archipelago, which has an area of 47,000 square miles (122,000 km²), comprises Isle Saria, Isle Regis, Isle Kensingtea, Isle Oakhurst and many other smaller Islands. Each Island contains it's own unicameral legislative body, with the countries Legislative Assembly taking responsibility for its defence, finance and foreign affairs. The islands' capital and largest city is Chippenham on Isle Saria.

The Sarian was first spotted by Norwegian whaler, Johannes Henrikson, who landed at Johannes Point, on return to Norway, he failed to get the correct funding to proceed with settlement, however the British and Spanish government subsidised. 411 people, comprising of 202 men, 188 women and 21 children, headed by the S.S Chippenham, from which the premier city was named.
The population, estimated at 932,000,000 in 2142, primarily consists of native Sarian as well as small pockets of Yttribians, Lojish, Gloriaxians and Drakonian. San Jose Guayabal

Now, say hi to San José Guayabal, a user who burst onto the scene for World Cup 66, and has had a growing presence in the community ever since, having good RPing skills and a good spirit when we talk to help the community with scorinations or being third party. There has been a good amount of events hosted by SJG and puppet Alianza Albos since then - September Tennis Championships, Copa de La Paz, World Junior Hockey Championship V (all with SJG), five seasons of domestic leagues in San José Guayabal and three with his puppet Alianza Albos, as well as scorinating many friendlies in football and the AO Hockey Championship final, being the most relevant ones the most recent edition (56th) of the Baptism of Fire (Co-hosted with Schiavonia) and also featuring experience in regional tournaments in one of the main sporting regions like the Copa Rushmori 18 with his puppet Alianza Albos, being tournaments made in a comfortable way and without major issues if we talk from an analytical and technically point of view.

In the IC point of view of this nation, The Soviet Socialist Republic of San José Guayabal, SSR of San José Guayabal or simply SJG is a big nation in terms of territory, headed by the Communist minded "Dear Leader" Miguel Serrano who reached the presidency via popular elecions
The territory comprises the main continental zone, four isles: Isla Puntarenas, Isla San Pedro, Sibirskaya Ostrov and Neryungri Island, divided in 18 Oblasts (Provinces) and one Federal District (San Salvador) where each Oblast has a council who elects the laws according to the needs and suggestions provided by the people or also known by the name of the proletariat in the Communist ideology.

San José Guayabal was spotted by the Spanish explorer and political authority Luis Barbosa, who landed at the city of San Luis (Called now Rostov-na-Donu after being called Gorudanevka by the russian migrants), he was in a trip for the discovery of new lands with colonization plans, after watching the mountains near Rostov he decided to start there a new nation, who grew culturally and now is a mix of Hispanic, Scandinavian, Anglo-saxon and Russian populace.

The population, estimated at 52,148,570 in the most recent census (2047), primarily consists of Hispanic as well as small but considerable groups of Swedes, Russians and British. The predominant and official language is Guayabalense Spanish. Other official languages are Guayabalense (A patois of Spanish), English, Swedish and Russian

We shall be using the latest version of xkorinate (0.3.3) with the SQIS formula, as those who are familiar with xkoronate will know, style mods will range from -5 to 5, with -5 reducing the chance of both scoring and conceding, and +5 increasing the chance of both variables, results will be generated using the most recent rankings, and will be announced between 6.30 to 7.30 UTC for The Sarian, and 1.00 to 3.00 UTC for SJG. Alterations to this will be announced as far in advance as possible, and both hosts are willing to help each other out, if worst comes to worst.

Regarding to the grading system, our plan is using a cumulative system to promote active RPing during the competition 0-4 scale for the rosters and for the RPing will be a scale of 0-5. Quality will be marked above quantity.

Keeping with the 'Cup for Stars' theme, there will be two all star teams competing, one from teams who participated in The Sarian and one from teams who participated in SJG. Your players will get into the side from being RPed as playing well throghout the tournament, and it will score you a bonus.

Format

Our proposals are that groups should be of a size that gives participants time to get into RPing and build enough bonus to get the most active teams through, though not too long as to become tedious.

Keeping with the last Campionato Esportiva, no qualifying will be used - all teams will automatically be in the "finals", meaning all fixtures are at a neutral location and all group formats are a single round robin.

36 teams: Six groups of six, with the top two sides advancing to the next round being joined by the best four runners up by the tie-breakers criteria.

40 teams: Eight groups of five, top two sides advance to the Round of 16.

42 teams: Six groups of seven, top two sides from each group qualify alongside the best two third placed sides, according to the tie-breaker criteria.

44 teams: Eleven groups of four, group winners and five best runners up qualify.

45 teams: Nine groups of five, group winners and the seven best runners up qualify.

48 teams: Eight groups of six, best two sides qualify.
