The capitol city issue, like all issues, is given out randomly. Obviously you just haven't gotten lucky yet.

From my perspective I must agree that they appear growth-related, like the compulsory democracy issue being first for all new nations, but definitely along the lines of random. ;)

i have the easter egg of Zombie attack

Postby Sacred world » Fri Apr 23, 2010 12:24 pm

Swesoc wrote:I was reading through this thread (an interesting read!) and thought we should once and for all figure out what the requirements for all the easter eggs are.

As I understand, these are the easter egg issues:

#077: World to End, or Possibly Just Mark Anniversary
NSWiki implies that you get this once you've found a certain number of easter eggs: "Note: This issue also included the message: (Congratulations on finding so many easter eggs. As a reward, here is the special issue our players got when NationStates turned one year old.) if it was received after the 1 year anniversary." - how many?

#078: Easter Egg: Should We Pull The Lever?
Have "Holy" in your pretitle. - Flibbleites. Possibly also have 1 or 1.25 billion population (can anyone verify this? Did anyone get the issue without having a 1 billion population?).

#080: Easter Egg: Aliens Wish Peace/Trade Agreement
"produce a whole heck of a lot of pizza" - Omigodtheykilledkenny (you only need to have "Pizza Delivery" as your major industry? How do you get that?). There's also some speculation about it here.

#215: Easter Egg: What's Your Favourite Colour?
Have a color in your pretitle (for which you need 500 million population). - Ballotonia

#223: Easter Egg: Zombie Attack!
There are two theories:

1: Re-activate account ("come back from the dead"). - Omigodtheykilledkenny (This one might be more likely.)

2: It's possible that it's enough to only have "Zombie" in your pretitle, without having to re-activate. - Shinkadomayaka

#256: Easter Egg: Suburbs Are Out Of This World
Possibly high crime rate (crippling?). - Zwangzug
Possibly also a space program. - New Ziedrich

Capital city, Leader and Religion issues
Almajoya wrote:Custom title = when your population reaches 500 million.

Custom leader = when your pop. hits 750 million and you luck into getting the related issue.

Custom city= pop is 250 million and you get the issue.

Custom religion = pop is 1bil and you get the issue.

How this works is those issues are added to the issue pool once you reach the required population, so when you get them is random but you won't get them until you meet the population requirement. Your title can be changed in settings as soon as you reach 500 million (you don't have to answer an issue for that one).

That's all I could find. If anyone knows anything, please add it.

Here's what I can confirm (my pop is ~8 billion so I can't speak for any minimum limits):

Zombie issue - got it after reactivating after like over a year of inactivity. It was maybe my fourth reactivation. Nothing else I can think of affected this, I didn't use any special words in my pre-title, national animal, or anything else.

Color issue - got it soon after adding a color to pre-title.

Lever issue - just got it after including the words "holy" and "religious" in pre-title. It took about a week. Note: my nation is completely unreligious so the pre-title must be the only thing affecting this.

An issue I have a problem with is the "suburbs are out of this world" one. I have a crippling crime rate (and have for some time) and my nation says "keen interest in outer space," which it has for an even longer time. However, still no ester egg issue. Since population is not the problem in my case, any other insights?

Speaking of easter eggs, just got:

#077: World to End, or Possibly Just Mark Anniversary

You asked how many easter eggs...I got it right after finding my third (as in the next day, as you can see from my post above).

Ah, I remember that one. Everybody got it on the one year anniversary, even if they were set to 0 issues, in vacation mode, or already had five issues waiting for them. It was pretty fun.
Now the stars they are all angled wrong,
And the sun and the moon refuse to burn.
But I remember a message,
In a demon's hand:
"Dread the passage of Jesus, for he does not return."

I had a nation that got the zombie issue, it was revived from the dead but the issue came a long while after it got revived, it does have high crime rates that might help out, if you want to see the nation it is JUNCKS

that'll suck if you didn't get it because you had all 5 issues or were in vacation mode, glad they did that

I can confirm the "Easter Egg: Should We Pull The Lever?" Issue as well.
My nation has nearly no funding in religion but when I put the words "Holy" and "Religious" in my pretitle, I got the issue within a week.

Try this..

I believe it has to be the first word in your pretitle, so while the "The White Egg of Unibot" is valid, "The Egg White of Unibot" is not.

This is wrong - I have gotten the Easter egg for a nation where the color was not the first word. Recently.

Has anyone gotten it without having 1/1.25 billion population?

I've had "Holy" since forever and I still haven't gotten it. (1.22 billion)

I've just gotten the "Suburbs are out of this world" issue totally unexpectedly! I had been trying to get it forever and had a super strong space program (always picked space options for relevant issues, had "remarkable for its keen interest in outer space" listed for my nation) as well as a crippling crime rate.

So how did I get it? I gave up and started to improve crime (all the way down to "major problem"). Then I stopped paying attention to it and it went back up to pervasive. Then yesterday I got the "License to Breed" issue and said anyone could have kids no matter what. As soon as that was enacted, my crime rate shot up to crippling once again (and the issue said that half of my nation's child population now lives roughly on the streets). I got the easter egg immediately afterward.

So what's my point? It's that (imo) having a strong space program and a crippling crime rate is not enough for the issue. Rather, it's the transition to a crippling crime rate level from a level of lower crime (while maintaining a strong space program) that sets it off. Maybe someone can try this and confirm. If you have a strong space program and are not getting the easter egg, just improve your crime rate and then switch gears, let it go sky high, and see if you get the issue. I have no idea what the pop. min. is because I'm at 8 billion+.
