Lojal National Football Team
Baptism of Fire Fifty Five

ABOUT LOJAL

One year ago, The Commonwealth of Lojal, gained independence from The Sarian, since then a lot has changed in the small Island.

The Island, which is administered by the Lord Protector, an unelected leader of The National Peoples Parliament, adopted a fundamentalist view after taking power, with the once outlawed Christianity taking center stage, while LGBT rights were all but abolished.

As for sports, most Lojalan players play for Sarian clubs, with the Lojalan League facing no sponsors, and the leading Lojalan club,Crompton City playing in The Sarian Super League.

NOTES:
All players of the roster are Kitsunes, if not declared otherwise.
¹ - Denotes Basswulf, a species that composes part of the Kitsunian population. These individuals have wolf-like traits and tend to display a rather sneakier approach to everything. Their quickness is also pretty special.
² - Denotes Ócean (or Óscean), a species that composes part of the Kitsunian population. These individuals have shark-like traits and tend to display a more agrresive approach to things. Curiously, they get to be pretty friendly with enough convivence and have to spend a decent amount of their days inside water for their own health.
³ - Denotes Bravian, a species that composes part of the Kitsunian population. These individuals are known from being more cultured than any of the other groups of the nation. They are also more honored than the rest, which also adds to their football style, preferring Fair Play.
* - Denotes a Marille, the term used by Kitsunians to refer to Pokémons. These individuals most likely came or were born from a family of Sunrisian pokémon fleeing the country as they believed that a life at Kitsunia-Deesse could grant fortune. Nowadays, with the Human-Pokémon barriers broken, these people are still in Kitsunia mostly because they don't believe they would build anything at Sunrise and to give
a chance to their fellow speciemates.

Manager: Matilda Kratochvil (f) (first tournament: WC68) Takes over after a stint at defensive-minded Excelsior Slogda, who made the quarterfinals of the most recent Globe Cup.

Goalkeepers:
1. Bruce Millar (Burgess FC) (m) (first tournament: WC64) Pretty outgoing and laid-back by goalkeeper standards.
12. Nirav Gadhavi (Namiri Independent) (m) (first tournament: WC67)
23. Dominik Topi (Trebuchet Cham) (m) (first tournament: WC66)

Defenders:
2. Dima Novak (Athletik Thessia) (m) (1 goal) (first tournament: WC64) Tallest starter.
3. Kazue Harel (Eintracht Trink) (f) (first tournament: WC67) Celebrated for her leadership at a tumultuous club.
4. Sara Hale-Barnard (Canbix Muses) (f) (first tournament: WC64) Known to draw professional fouls.
5. Franklin Witchein-Coan (Fryi Frêndê) (m) (first tournament: WC67) Likes to listen to the loudest music.
14. Percy Eskridge (Spenson Suburbia) (m) (first tournament: WC68)
19. Jocelyn Chara-Fekapeu (Sporting Esper) (f) (first tournament: WC68)
21. Nadine Roark (Excelsior Slogda) (f) (first tournament: WC68)
22. Tygo Beumers (Keppal Cosmos) (m) (first tournament: WC68)

Midfielders:
6. Patricia Eliot (Matthew City Rangers) (f) (2 goals) (first tournament: WC64) Known to draw...unprofessional fouls.
7. Tullio Schi (Bengtsmark IF) (m) (4 goals) (first tournament: CoH 57)
8. Davi Keane-Liuprand (Ephesian FC) (m) (2 goals) (first tournament: WC64)
10. Martina Ruan (FTC United) (f) (12 goals) (first tournament: WC64) The team's captain as of WC67. Relatively proud of Zwangzug's quirks, wants to show them off and not be just another country.
11. Shula Bachchan-Laum (FC Solovetsky Monastery) (f) (2 goals) (first tournament: WC64) Argumentative, although not so much with the ref, just likes to get the last word.
13. Maya Coelho (Rovers United) (f) (1 goal) (first tournament: WC67)
15. Liorit Wirth (Eintracht Trink) (f) (first tournament: WC68)
16. Dennis Horkawer-Rippel (Fligsive FC) (2 goals) (m) (first tournament: WC67)
17. Rudolf Sternberg (Ephesian FC) (m) (1 goal) (first tournament: WC65) Hails from Clunvers, the suburb with the "Big Max" meteorite fiasco, and glad to be making his name for something else.
18. Vera Woredann (Excelsior Slogda) (f) (first tournament: WC66)

Forwards:
9. Khamisi McCluey (Royal Rumiatzi) (m) (13 goals) (first tournament: CoH 57)
20. Arlo Rais-Sonnen (FTC United) (m) (7 goals) (first tournament: WC66)

The normal starters are 1-11, though this will likely change. The most likely starting formation would be:

..................__________..................
......................|Millar|...................
Witchein-Coan..Hale-Barnard..Novak..Harel
..................Eliot..Bachchan-Laum.........
....................Keane-Liuprand..............
..................Ruan........Schi...............
......................McCluey ...................

The reserve defenders would tend to line up (right to left as they see it, or left to right in this diagram) as Eskridge, Chara-Fekapeu, Roark, Beumers if they're all playing at once. The midfielders would have Woredann and Sternberg in defensive midfield, Coelho in the center, and Wirth and Horkawer-Rippel as attacking midfielders. Expect plenty of variation, particularly up front--we wouldn't want to risk inflating the lone striker's goal tallies, such as they are. Zwangzug play a defensive style, as noted, and they're particularly unskilled on headers. Some players might chance a professional foul, but they're really not a violent team.

More than you ever wanted to know about Zwangzug can be found in our factbook, a pastiche of in-jokes, allusions, moments of pride, retconned "what was I thinking?!" moments, and much more from the last, er, seven years. Unless you wanted to know things like "why are there so many -ed names" (egalitarian parents, not being posh) or "what about the Mc" (it's a common morpheme among our Bigtopian community, who knows why). Well, if you have more questions, you can ask.

In particular, a summary of the original national team's history (fl. WC33-42) is available. I should really get to wikifying making factbooks of? biographical pages for some of the more colorful bygone players. Poke me about that.

Colors: White with black stripes. Or black with white stripes. We go for the basics.

Home schedule: Wayr Stadium, located in the Rackham Range of mountains, remains our basic home field, but several other stadiums will get to host the national team this campaign.

MD1 vs. Gandham Islands: Groth Park, Canbix
MD3 vs. McKleigh: Pirito Stadium, Keppal City
MD4 vs. Iturributa: Sector 32 Park, Sharag
MD6 vs. Patistan: Pallocci Pagoda Park, FTC
MD9 vs. Equestrian States: Wayr Stadium
MD12 vs. Levivania: Eglantine Park, FTC
MD14 vs. Zwannswijik: Wayr Stadium

Playoff first leg vs. Valladares: Stelladome, Fulpog
Playoff second leg vs. Darmen: Wayr Stadium

If RPing first, please feel free to name goalscorers, injure, and distribute cards to my players at will! You can also godmod events, though I'd appreciate advance warning if you want to take narrative liberties that I couldn't just as easily do to your team (due to being, e.g., an MT, all-human country). Put another way, metaphorical "godmodding" is welcome if clever, but I'd avoid the literal sense.

If you'd like to collaborate on a storyline, drop me a telegram! Always up for new ideas.

The Scattered Isles of Kazamatsuri
Official Roster for World Cup 68

Image

Nation Background

A semi-autonomous territory of the Auroral Technocratic Union of Mizuyuki, Kazamatsuri is a relatively new nation, having only been formed through a secession of a number of Mizuyuki's island colonies from its local administration a year previously. However, this change is said in political circles to be merely cosmetic, as the Auroral Union remains in de facto control over the entire island chain in the prefecture due to the "revolutionaries" being unable to gain international recognition as a sovereign country.

Mizuyuki's comparatively overwhelming military might cast a shadow over Kazamatsuri. Following months of negotiations between Premier Nikaido Mikoto of Mizuyuki and the revolutionaries, the island chain of Kazamatsuri was officially made a protectorate of Mizuyuki, formally The Scattered Isles of Kazamatsuri, Protectorate of the Auroral Technocratic Union of Mizuyuki. However, a clause exists in the official treaty that compromises Kazamatsuri's already insignificant "independence"; Mizuyuki retains the right to revoke their protectorate status and reintegrate Kazamatsuri into their territories without notice. That being the case, however, during her opening speech at an official ceremony held at Kizuna Kyūden (絆宮殿) to recognise Kitsuneshima as a protectorate of the Auroral Union, Premier Nikaido of Mizuyuki assured the leaders of Kazamatsuri that she did not have any plans to sanction such a revocation of their status as long as her party was in power in the Imperial Diet.

Soon afterwards, a puppet government of the Auroral Union was put into place; the leaders of the revolution were given nominal positions in the newly formed Kazamatsuri cabinet, which is known as The Committee of Judgment (判決委員会), Hanketsu Iinkai, (Judgment for short) while a loyalist of the Mizuyuki administration, Tonoya Akira (殿谷 明), the sister of Mizuyukian Minister of Education Tonoya Jin (殿谷 仁) was installed as the Mizuyukian High Commissioner in Kizuna. She is set to continue presiding over the Scattered Isles for the foreseeable future.

Note - On 20 November 2013, the Scattered Isles of Kitsuneshima was officially renamed the Scattered Isles of Kazamatsuri.

Team Background

A group of ragtag professionals that originally held Mizuyukian citizenship, the members that make up Kazamatsuri's team are footballers that defected to Kazamatsuri following the Treaty of Kizuna that officially declared Kazamatsuri as a protectorate of Mizuyuki in protest of the decision. They claim that the formation of Kazamatsuri as a protectorate and not a fully independent country is unlawful, and thus chose to protest the decision by claiming Kazamatsurian citizenship and playing for their hatchling national team. However, since the Treaty of Kizuna holds that all citizens of Kazamatsuri are, by extension, citizens of Mizuyuki, this move was also criticised by many as ineffectual and merely a plea to garner attention.

Led by the enigmatic former Mikan Wave coach Mihashi Chiyo, Kazamatsuri play rather offensively, with the team's heat maps showing that they often set up camp in their opponent's half while being content to let their defence remain threadbare. Kazamatsuri may be offensively oriented, but Mihashi favours an unconventional false nine formation that does not employ a true striker. Rather, the team's attacking midfielder, usually Sakurada Sachiko, plays as the focal point of the team's attack, both from a creative and finishing standpoint.

World Cup 20 Champions

The Football Association of Vilita is based at the Tivali-Ring Stadium (87,000 Seating Capacity) in the capital city of Alikki-Corra, Vilita and many National Team training sessions take place on the grounds of the Tivali-Ring. The Tivali-Ring complex was constructed as part of the Vilitan bid to host the World Cup 14 Cup of Harmony as a replacement to the former National Stadium in Lopinka that was destroyed during a regional conflict. 'The Ring' has since hosted countless international matches including high profile matches such as the World Cup 31 Final and the 40th Series 'B' Champions Cup Final.

Despite being based at the Ring, The Football Association of Vilita regularly schedule matches at arenas throughout Vilita, especially bigger matches as many of the stadiums that host Stellar Division and UICA competition matches have expanded far beyond the 87,000 capacity of the National Stadium at Tivali-Ring, which is used only for the National Team, and, domestically for the Vilitan Cup Final and Tropical Trophy matchups. The Football Association typically releases a stadium schedule when applicable.

Head Coach: Calaesa Mitaroka
After a highly succesful spell as the manager of club side Jungle Strike FC, Calaesa Mitaroka led the Vilitan National Team as head coach for the first time during their World Cup 61 Qualifying Campaign. After losing his opening match in charge, Mitaroka led the Jungle Cats to 43 consecutive unbeaten qualifying matches from World Cup 61-63, including the unbeaten World Cup 62 Campaign that led to a 4th-place finish in the World Cup Finals. Mitaroka's side broke all records during World Cup 64 Qualifying with a 17-1-0 record, however an early exit in the World Cup Finals would become the story of Mitaroka's tenure with the Jungle Cats failing to return to the Semi-Finals leaving many to wonder how long Mitaroka would remain in charge in Alikki-Corra.

The coaches will select the squad from the National Player pool. Players are listed below, grouped by position and sorted by projection 'Depth Chart' position where the top player listed is most likely to be named the first player selected for that position, and so on. Depth chart positions are determined by performance in pre-cup training sessions, as well as performance and average ratings in the Vilitan League competition and previous appearances for the National Team.

Jaqe Planst [ - Cednia Beach AFC (TUR) - ]
GK ( AGE: 31 CAPS: 24 :: GOALS:0 ) :: [ 5.18 Average Rating ]
Planst was acquired by Cednia Beach AFC after playing just 1 match in Season 26 for Arcticala Inlet. Planst helped the Turorian side to second place in the VLeague 27 table and a return to UICA Competitions. A poor showing during the AOCL V in which Cednia Beach were eliminated in the group stage likely kept Planst out of any contention for a National Team spot during World Cup 58 Qualifiers, although, as a highly skilled keeper, Planst was still invited to the training camp. Planst has an ongoing rivalry with former Cednia Youth teammate Aranora Jaded who left Cednia Beach to join Planst's former club, Arcticala Inlet, and also achieved great success. Despite struggling to lead Cednia Beach to the domestic success they so craved and being between the sticks as Mliona-Lpaka overtook Cednia Beach as the premier domestic club in Turori, Planst was named Cednia Beach player of the season 4 times between season 28 and 35, despite the clubs struggles. However, Planst would lead the club back to glory, winning the Vilitan Cup during Season 43, and subsequently went on to win the 50th UICA Globe Cup, the first ever UICA Top-Level Champions from Turori.

Zelkki Milake [ - Lonngeylin Coast - ]
GK ( AGE: 18 CAPS: 5 :: GOALS:0 ) :: [ N/R ]
An aspiring Astronaut, Zelkki Milake's sporting career took added importance when he signed for Eastal Lunar FC at the age of 16 and immediately became the clubs starting goalkeeper for the Season 41 Declasse Division campaign. Milake kept a series of clean sheets that kept Eastal Lunar in the top half of the table for the majority of the season and still mathematically in the hunt for promotion entering the final matchday. The 1-0 victory over Akisa Surta combined with a Turoki Isle draw propelled Eastal Lunar into the top two and ensured that the young Milake would be thrust into action against some of the top players in the world as a Stellar Division goalkeeper for V-League Season 42. It wasn't at Eastal Lunar that Milake would make a name for himself, however. The young Vilitan goalkeeper opened his International Career with four-consecutive clean sheet performances and earned a place as a reserve player on the World Cup 67 World XI team. The performances for the National Team would earn Milake a transfer to Lonngeylin Coast after Eastal Lunar's Season 42 relegation.

Kadi Molali [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
D R ( AGE: 36 CAPS: 129 :: GOALS:8 ) :: [ 7.19 Average Rating ]
Molali has the ability to make stunning runs up the right side of the field and has put together exciting 'from-nothing' goal scoring opportunities in weekly scrimmage matches. Molali was an exciting prospect for the Turoki Academy who was solid, but not exceptional during World Cup 57 Qualifying, making 13 appearances and scoring 1 goal. After joining multiple clubs, including Strike FC, Molali left the VLeague abrubtly in the middle of VLeague 26. After some time off, Molali returned, signing for Eastal Lunar FC and completing a strong VLeague Season 27. Following Eastal Lunar's relegation, however, Molali - fearing the relegation could cost him appearances in the National Team, spent 2 seasons at Cednia Beach AFC before moving back to Vilita to play for Makosile. Molali was part of Makosile Season 38 Stellar Division championship team.

Miiara Makose [ - Strike FC - ]
D C ( AGE: 34 CAPS: 141 :: GOALS:6 ) :: [ 6.67 Average Rating ]
Makose has Druidan blood, though has been diluted through multiple generations. He was trained as a goalkeeper in Turori but did not want to be stuck in the shadows of Nycflala Kater, so switched over to the defensive role when joining the Strike Academy. The transition was clearly justified as Makose was one of the top performing players in World Cup 57 qualifying, carrying a 6.65 average rating while appearing in 14 of Vilita's 16 group matches. Makose was also part of Strike's dominating VLeague 27 performances winning the League and Cup titles with the club and repeated the feat during VLeague 29, doing one better, having scored the game-winning goal in the 86th minute of the Cup Final against the rival Yeaddin Owls. Incredibly, Makose did it again during the Season 30 Cup Final, scoring the opening goal of Strike's 2-0 victory over Colonial Sile. The list of accomplishments for Makose continued to grow with his allegiance to his home club, including International success as champions of the Aeropag Invitational and the Cygnus Cup following Vilitan Season 38. Makose then led Strike FC to the Stellar Division title and a repeat victory in the Cygnus Cup the following season.

Amarini Baracelv [ - Makosile - ]
D C ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 13 :: GOALS:1 ) :: [ 7.79 Average Rating ]
Baracelv, whose grandparents are Starblaydi, was trained at the Alikki-Corra academy before signing a professional contract and transferring to Mliona-Lpaka Turori to pursue International domestic competitions. As a bonus, Baracelv made their debut regionally for Vilita & Turori winning AOCAF 42.

Image
Endur Rotropii [ - Marine Coast United - ]
D RLC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 42 :: GOALS:4 ) :: [ 7.46 Average Rating ]
Rotropii made his debut for Marine Coast United during Season 38 and quickly grew popular with the fans in Crosaibi, being named Marine Coast's player of the season in his rookie campaign. Rotropii scored his first career international goal during World Cup 65 Qualifying in a 4-1 victory over Mashiki.

D C ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 19 :: GOALS:1 ) :: [ 7.56 Average Rating ]
A Member of the AOCAF 41 Championship winning side, Muratai quickly proved his worth at the international level as well as earning a domestic transfer to Kiiara-Torra in the Vilitan Stellar Division for Season 40, spending a season there before switching to Lonngeylin Coast for Season 41 helping them to a 4th place finish in the final standings and a spot in the UICA Champions Cup.

Image
Uajiala Pulkki [ - Turoki Tide - ]
D C ( AGE: 35 CAPS: 68 :: GOALS:4 ) :: [ 6.49 Average Rating ]
Pulkki is a descendent of former Inland Peaks FC defender Pasi Pulkki, and many are saying he could even be better then his ancestors. Pulkki unfortunately lasted barely 22 minutes in his competitive debut against Ipeland in World Cup 57 qualifying, but has put in some more impressive performances since. Like many of his teammates, Pulkki left Inland Peaks after their relegation in VLeague 26, and headed over to Eastal Lunar. Pulkki was a star for Eastal during VLeague 27 earning a transfer to former champions Cednia Beach AFC for VLeague 28. After a season and a half in Cednia Beach, Pulkki moved to the Turoki Tide at the midway point of V-League Season 29, becoming the backbone of a defense that would lead the Tide to their first Stellar Division title(s) in addition to becoming the first Vilitan Club to lift UICA hardware, winning the Globe Cup, Super Cup and UICA Champions Cup.

Ratuva helped Morata Valley earn promotion to the Stellar Division during VLeague 26. Ratuva has continually been named Player of the Season at Morata Valley and helped lead them to their best ever Stellar Division placement of 5th during Season 37, also earning the side a place in the UICA Champions Cup.

Jomur Hulyer [ - Mliona-Lpaka (Turori) - ]
M LC ( AGE: 35 CAPS: 170 :: GOALS::SR: 32 ) :: [ 6.76 Average Rating ]
A decsendent of the exciting Marine Coast and Yeaddin midfielder Jonjo Hulyer, Jomur has been compared heavily to his ancestors and even carries the same squad number. Unlike Jonjo, however, Jomur was trained at the Yeaddin Academy. Hulyer would soon become the quickest player to ever represent all three of the original Vilitan Dynasties, signing his first professional contract with Marine Coast United before transferring to Strike for VLeague 28. The list of honors earned by Hulyer in Lonngeylin was massive, with 5 appearances in the Tropical Trophy, 3 Stellar Division Championships and a Vilitan Cup title in addition to being a finalist for Vilitan player of the Season every season he spent in Lonngeylin. After Strike failed to claim a Champions League place following Season 35, Hulyer decided it was time for a change of scenery, moving to Turori to join forces with Mliona-Lpaka FC. Soon after, however, Hulyer did something unprecedented, retiring from domestic competition in order to focus on his performances for the National Team. Hulyer un-retired from the domestic league during Season 41, returning to Mliona-Lpaka to fight against his old side Strike FC for the title.

Steffyn Siazzu [ - Jlinal Cove - ]
AM C ( AGE: 34 CAPS: 146 :: GOALS::SR: 21 ) :: [ 6.41 Average Rating ]
An exciting prospect from the Yeaddin Academy, Siazzu plays behind the strikers in a clean up or attacking role atop the midfield. Despite not scoring during World Cup 57 Qualifiers, Siazzu was an important presence. After spending many seasons in Yeaddin, Siazzu moved to the Turoki Tide, helping them to runners-up in the VLeague29 table. Siazzu played the role of a hired gun moving to Strike during Season 39 to help them re-gain the Stellar Division title from Makosile. Siazzu wouldn't stay for the defense however, jumping ship to Turori to play for Mliona-Lpaka.

Kiroki Mitaroka [ - Turoki Tide - ]
M RLC ( AGE: 31 CAPS: 97 :: GOALS::SR: 18 ) :: [ 5.52 Average Rating ]
After starting at the Turoki Locals in the Lower Leagues, Mitaroka's talent was spotted by Inland Peaks FC who snapped the youngster up for V-League season 29. At the midway point of the season Mitaroka was setting the Declasse on fire with skillful performances and caught the attention of the Vilitan coaches who added Mitaroka to the World Cup 59 roster despite having never been called to the National Team before. After their promotion back to the Stellar Division for season 38, the Electricians of Arctical Inlet made Mitaroka their primary target, landing him for a large transfer fee. Mitaroka helped lead the Tide back to the UICA Champions Cup but proved to be a true rental when he moved again to Turoki United prior to Season 39.

Sirkii Moliaudo [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
F C ( AGE: 35 CAPS: 93 :: GOALS::SR: 29 ) :: [ 5.60 Average Rating ]
Moliaudo is a real force in front of goal, rarely missing from inside the penalty area. Many eyes were on Moliaudo during the World Cup Campaign, to see how he fared with a new partner in attack, having spent his entire development partnered with Xcnaio Bansoa at the Coastal Academy. Moliaudo mostly performed well netting 4 goals and having a strong rating, but still left some wondering if there was more talent to be mined from the Marine Coast youngster. After Bansoa left Marine Coast for greener pastures, Moliaudo remained and his stock also decreased. After a second relegation with Marine Coast, Moliaudo jumped ship up the Vilitan coast to Kiiarana City. Moliaudo was named player of the season 3 times at Kiiarana City. After transferring, Moliaudo was a member of the Cednia Beach AFC squad that won the Vilitan Cup during Season 43, and subsequently went on to win the 50th UICA Globe Cup, the first ever UICA Top-Level Champions from Turori.

Ylimaiina was born in Vilita but also contains Starblaydi blood on his Mother's side. Ylimaiina served as the primary forward during Vilita & Turori's AOCAF 42 Championship Winning side.

Kristofer Kilpter [ - East Franz Athletic (PIS) - ]
F C ( AGE: 35 CAPS: 118 :: GOALS::SR: 56 ) :: [ 5.92 Average Rating ]
Kilpter is joint Vilitan & Turori national, but declared to play for Vilita, with the lure of World Cup competition in Vilita's entry into World Cup 57 the key decision maker after the Turorian side was not entered. Kilpter netted 4 times during the World Cup 57 campaign but missed three matches due to an undisclosed injury. After struggling to win silverware with the Yeaddin Owls, Kilpter made the Largest Transfer in V-League history (12.7 kT) to Turorian side Cednia Beach. The transfer was more than double the 4.5kT previous transfer record in the Vilitan League, which was also payed by Cednia Beach to Yeaddin (for Antonis Siazzu). The struggles continued for Kilpter in the hunt for Silverware as Cednia Beach simply could not get over the hurdle, either in the V-League or in the UICA Champions League. Cednia Beach recouped their transfer fee in dishing Kilpter out to East Franz Athletic in the Polar Islandstates prior to Season 33. A rejuvinated Kilpter received praise for his performances in the Polar Islandstates while Cednia Beach would go on to miss out on Champions Cup qualification for the first time. Kilpter's international career has bolstered since his departure from the Tropics, having regained his place in the side for World CUp 64 Qualifying in a 3-player rotation with Erocka Lorei and Viji-mara Lawaai.

Image
Xcnaio Bansoa [ - Makosile - ]
F C ( AGE: 35 CAPS: 53 :: GOALS::SR: 18 ) :: [ 6.32 Average Rating ]
Bansoa was a training partner of Sirkii Moliaudo at the Coastal Academy, and many believed that Moliaudo's prowess in front of goal was due solely to his close partnership with Bansoa. After not being called to the line during World Cup 57 Qualifiers, Bansoa decided it was time for a change, breaking ties with Moliaudo and Marine Coast United, signing for Arcticala Inlet in the Stellar Division. Bansoa featured frequently for the Jungle Cats during the World Cup 58 Campaign, performing well, but scoring no goals, relegating him from the top selection in the subsequent Cup of Harmony held in Vilita and New Montreal States.

Riazen was trained in Alikki-Corra but opted to stay in the Vilitan Declasse after Alikki-Corra earned an unexpected promotion to the top flight, signing with Kiiarana City. Riazen's Krytenian bloodline makes him a secret weapon in the Vilitan arsenal, sure to be the ultimate future thorn in the side of any Audioslavian opposition. Was a member of Vilita & Turori's AOCAF 42 Championship side. After scoring 5 times for Kiiarana during their Season 41 Declasse campaign, the youngster made the switch across town to Kiiara-Torra in order to re-unite with Eel-Cat things head coach Nycflala Kater and return to the Stellar Division.

Head Coach: Ematea Saenu
An on-again/off-again relationship between the Gibbons family and the Turori National Team finally seems to have come to an end as Abraham, Jake and Aaron Gibbons have all been left off the Turori Roster for World Cup 67 Qualifying. Turori's Ematea Saenu maintains the role of head coach after leading the Eels to knockout rounds during World Cup 66 before an untimely defeat at the hands of Valladares ended their Cup dream.

GOALKEEPERS:

[ 82 ] Mumau Atla-Siioai [ - Turoki United (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 35 CAPS: 34 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
A Dual Vilita & Turori National, Atla-Siioai was invited to the Vilitan World Cup 57 Training camp - but so were 6 other goalkeepers. Atla-Siioai transferred from the Kionao Locals to Vilitan side Turoki United for the V-League 27 season. While his play for Turoki was solid, the impact of Atla-Siioai's presence was most evident back in Turori as the Locals were relegated from the V-League with a club record 20 defeats. While showing the importance of having Atla-Siioai in the squad, the fact that the Goalkeeper left the Locals high and dry has not left a good impression on their Turorian fanbase. Atla-Siioai has, however, made a name for himself in Turoki, repeatedly being named Supporters Player of the Season and leading the team into UICA Competition places including the clubs first UICA Champions Cup appearance following Season 36. Atla-Siioai has been the Player of the Year at Turoki United every season since joining the club. Atla-Siioai was named Turorian player of the season during Season 41 when he led Turoki United to their second Vilitan Cup title and again when leading Turoki United to their first Vilitan Stellar Division championship during Season 42, also leading the Turori National Team to the Second Round of the World Cup. Atla-Siioai would lead Turoki United to a repeat Stellar Division championship during Season 43, and would lead his club to the UICA Champions Cup Final. Although defeated in the final, Atla-Siioai's performances earned him the reputation as one of the top goalkeepers in the world.

[ 1 ] Ronji Miiastara [ - Jlinal Cove (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 35 CAPS: 74 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Miiastara joined Marine Coast United in Vilita for their V-League 27 campaign in the Declasse, just the second ever for the club at that level. Miiastara was tasked with keeping the ball out of the net, and he did just that, helping lead Marine Coast United back to the Stellar Division at the first attempt leading up to V-League 28. After competing in the UICA 'B' Champions League, Marine Coast finished a respectable 7th place in the V-League but just missed out on a UICA place. Miiastara jumped ship to Kiiarana City in order to participate in the UICA Globe Cup prior to Season 29. While Kiiarana did not make the huge title push expected of them, Miiastara let in a career low 14 goals during Season 30, leading Kiiarana to a runner up finish in the Stellar Division a place in the UICA Champions League and a Tropical Trophy victory. It would be the lone high point at the club for Miiastara, however. After losing his 'ever present' status as National Team goalkeeper to the domestically succesful Hooizo Nuakoi, Miiastara made the switch to Colonial for Season 35 and immediately added a second Tropical Trophy victory to his resume. After bouncing around for seasons Miiastara finally found a home in Lonngeylin backstopping the rise of Lonngeylin Coast from a Declasse club to a Stellar Division challenger, leading the club to a pair of consecutive 4th-placed finish and Champions Cup qualification during V-League Seasons 40 & 41.

[ 86 ] Hooizo Nuakoi [ - Turoki Tide (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 35 CAPS: 56 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Nuakoi, a dual Vilitan & Turorian national, entered World Cup 58 qualifying uncapped and undeclared for either Nation. Nuakoi was widely expected to openly declare Turorian Nationality going into the qualifying, but with the rise of rival Ronji Miiastara, Nuakoi decided to leave the door open to a Vilitan return should he remain uncapped for Turori. After spending Season 26 and 27 at Turoki Isle, Nuakoi made the move to the Yeaddin Owls midway through Season 27 to become their #1 keeper. Nuakoi returned to Turoki during Season 29, joining the Turoki Tide as they finished runners up in the Stellar Division. Nuakoi was important in the Tide's success in the Tropical Trophy, the clubs first major Top-Level silverware, before rising to prominence in the lore's of the opening of a new chapter of Sporting Success in Turoki. Nuakoi led the Tide to the Stellar Division championship during Seasons 32 and 33 before a remarkable run to defeat rivals Strike FC in the 40th Globe Cup Final for Turoki's first International club competition title. Nuakoi's performances in goal were critical as a 0-0 shutout performance in the final match gave the Tide a remarkable victory in the UICA Super Cup, the first Vilitan League side to lift the trophy.

[ 92 ] Sharif Deniibo [ - Lonngeylin City (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Snapped up at a young age by the Turoki Tide who identified a young Deniibo as an ideal prospect to play along side and be tutored by the Tide's Turorian National team goalkeeper Hooizo Nuakoi. After spending 5 seasons as apprentice to Nuakoi in Turoki, Deniibo switched to Lonngeylin City in an attempt to get regular first team action.

[ 93 ] G.Q Disterfred II [ - Turoki Isle - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 8 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Young prospect Disterfred pushed Inura Forests into the top half of the Season 38 Declasse, earning player of the season honors at the club and earning recognition as a serious propsect for the National Team. Disterfred was a member of the AOCAF 41 Championship Winning side, but did not start any of the 7 matches en-route to the title. When head coach Nycflala Kater took a back seat early in the competition during AOCAF 42, however, Disterfred had his chance to play as Vilita & Turori earned their second consecutive AOCAF title. However, Disterfred's domestic career took a negative turn when Inura Forests were relegated out of the Vilitan League, prompting a cross-country transfer to the Kionao Locals in the Declasse division. Despite the strong leadership of Lita Adjei and good performances in the UICA Competitions, Kionao was unable to get promoted and eventually Disterfred would move to Turoki Isle in order to get a chance to play in the Stellar Division

DEFENDERS:

[ 53 ] Tarek Edgeli [ - Marine Coast (Vilita) - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 3 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
After spending 3 seasons being trained in Crosaibi at Marine Coast United, Edgeli made the switch down the coast to the Lonngeylin Coliseum for Season 43. While Strike were unable to win any silverware, Edgeli fit straight into the squad as one of the top performing defenders in the entire league earning instant plaudits and recognition back in Turori.

[ 2 ] Yoains Konoaafeo [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 37 CAPS: 124 :: GOALS::SR: 8 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Konoaafeo was the top defensive product of the Yeaddin Academy and was expected to be part of the Vilitan national team set up due to this fact. However, after not being capped during World Cup 57 Qualifying, and learning of Turori's intention to enter World Cup 58, Konoaafeo switched allegiances both for club and country. After playing half of V-League 26 with the Kionao Locals, Konoaafeo moved to Cednia Beach AFC where he would lead the Coconut Kickers to their second V-League championship, being named Turorian player of the season in the process. From there, it would be a long run of struggles as Cednia Beach would lose their title as "Turori's Best" to rivals Mliona-Lpaka. However, Konoaafeo stayed loyal and eventually returned to the top with his club as a member of the Cednia Beach AFC squad that won the Vilitan Cup during Season 43, and subsequently went on to win the 50th UICA Globe Cup, the first ever UICA Top-Level Champions from Turori.

[ 57 ] Dmitri Levada [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 18 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
After being part of the Vilita & Turori squad that won AOCAF 42, Levada was a member of the Cednia Beach AFC squad that won the Vilitan Cup during Season 43, and subsequently went on to win the 50th UICA Globe Cup, the first ever UICA Top-Level Champions from Turori.

[ 54 ] Oani Moralziia [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D RL ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
After being part of the Vilita & Turori squad that won AOCAF 42, Moralziia was a member of the Cednia Beach AFC squad that won the Vilitan Cup during Season 43, and subsequently went on to win the 50th UICA Globe Cup, the first ever UICA Top-Level Champions from Turori.

[ 3 ] Lioniaa Tana [ - Lonngeylin Coast (Vilita) - ]
------- D/DM LC ( AGE: 36 CAPS: 141 :: GOALS::SR: 12 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Tana is one of the most athetlically skilled defensive players in the Turorian arsenal, although Tana's weakness shines in technical areas like heading and man to man marking. After starting their career at Vilitan side Rammsissil, Tana moved to Eastal Lunar FC during V-League 27, winning the Vilitan Cup with the team during Season 28 but relegation triggered a clause allowing Tana to return home to Turori with Cednia Beach AFC for Season 29. After a miserable campaign which saw Tana without Champions Cup competition, Tana joined the Turoki Tide for Season 34, doing so in time for their 43rd UICA Cycle run. The Tide lifted the UICA Globe Cup and UICA Super Cup, one of three Turorian players on the roster for the Tide's Triumph. Tana was named Turorian player of the Season for Season 35 and 36.

[ 52 ] Geafi Laina-Sola [ - Makosile (Vilita) - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 16 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]

[ 4 ] Balariita Muzmaara [ - Kiiarana City (Vilita) - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 32 CAPS: 34 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Muzmaara, one of the youngest players ever invited to a Turorian National Team training camp (Ignoring the Cocoboas), joining the Terrarokka Spirit during Season 27. After spending seasons bouncing between the League and Amateur levels, Muzmaara finally moved to play full time for the Kionao Locals, spending two seasons at home in Turori

[ 6 ] Inaosnaa Klanoa [ - Eastal Lunar (Vilita) - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 11 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]

[ 56 ] Majid Jedidi [ - Inura Forests - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 9 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]

UTILITY PLAYERS:

[ 22 ] Klaillal Tuirma [ - Turoki Tide (Vilita) - ]
------- ATH ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 16 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
Descendant of Season 4 Turorian Player of the Season and National team legend Cuolia Tuirma, Klaillal will work with Restiaa Mumamba to become the future "All-Around" player for the Turori National Team. Playing in a unique role, Tuirma will be expected to fill the role of being able to play every game, in every position - even Goalkeeper, if there are no subs left. Tuirma will certainly be starting as a substitute during their debut campaign in World Cup 62 but may get the chance to start against weaker opposition. After being brought up through the academy system at Kionao, Tuirma signed a professional contract with Colonial Sile in Vilita for Season 35, winning silverware in the first match, the Tropical Trophy triumph over Strike. Tuirma's stay in Sile didn't last long, however, coaxed back to the luxury of Arcticala Inlet to help in their Champions-Cup qualifying campaign of Season 38.

[ 22 ] Restiaa Mumamba [ - Jlinal Cove (Vilita) - ]
------- ATH ( AGE: 34 CAPS: 131 :: GOALS::SR: 6 )
Mumamba was the definition of a versatile player for Vilita's Yeaddin Owls after joining them for the V-League 27 season from Jlinal Cove FC. Mumamba played in every position from Central Defender to Striker, scoring a game winning goal in one game and a game saving tackle in the next. Mumamba is an expert choice for a third sub or to allow tactical changes on the pitch without substitutions being made. The strong and versatile performances of Mumamba during Season 28 earned Mumamba a high profile transfer to defending Stellar Division champions Arcticala Inlet but he left the Electricians the following season to be apart of the growing Yeaddin Owls squad. Mumamba spent 4 seasons in Yeaddin without recording any meaningful domestic awards other than the Season 29 Turorian Player of the Season award. The lure of international competition was too great for Mumamba who joined the Turoki Tide for Season 34, doing so in time for their 43rd UICA Cycle run. Mumamba helped the Tide lift the UICA Globe Cup and UICA Super Cup, one of three Turorian players on the roster for the Tide's Triumph. However, after achieving glory with the Tide, Mumamba returned to his former club Yeaddin, vowing to one day bring the same success back to the Lirai Asku Castle.

MIDFIELDERS:

[ 6 ] Raso Tareak [ - Jlinal Cove (Vilita) - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 36 CAPS: 114 :: GOALS::SR: 17 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Tareak joined Jlinal Cove FC in Vilita for V-League 26 helping the club to a respectable 8th place finish. In V-League 27, Tareak's performances improved with a pair of goals helping Jlinal to an all-time best finish of 4th place in the standings. Tareak's impressive performances in Jlinal earned him a transfer, first to Turorian UICA Champions League representatives Cednia Beach AFC, then to the Yeaddin Owls for V-League 30 before moving to Jungle Strike FC

[ 17 ] Cediici Tzatzos [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- M R ( AGE: 38 CAPS: 129 :: GOALS::SR: 12 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
A determined winger, Tzatzos is a product of the Strike Academy and remained a bit-part player for the club when the Vilitan League resumed for Season 26. Tzatsos was part of Strike's Stellar Division winning Season 27 side while being named Turorian Player of the Season, but when the success did not repeat itself during Season 28, Tzatzos was transfered to Kiiarana City. Looking to take a step back, Tzatzos moved across town to Kiiara-Torra in the Declasse division and helped to orchestrate a masterful promotion during season 33. Tzatzos would not stick around, however, looking to make the quick jump to the upper half of the table, signing for Makosile United. Tzatzos was a member of the Cednia Beach AFC squad that won the Vilitan Cup during Season 43, and subsequently went on to win the 50th UICA Globe Cup, the first ever UICA Top-Level Champions from Turori.

[ ] Nubara Moafalia [ - Yeaddin Owls (Vilita) - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
After coming up throught the academy system at Mliona-Lpaka, Moafalia saw the opportunity to become a star player for the Yeaddin Owls - trading in his role as a substitute in Turori for the limelight at the Lirai Asku Castle ahead of V-League season 44.

[ 16 ] Rutaj Ranaso [ - Mliona-Lpaka - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 35 CAPS: 80 :: GOALS::SR: 6 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Ranaso moved from Turori to the nearby island of Turoki to play for Mavaloiao FC in the Vilitan Declasse when the league resumed for Season 26. After 2 strong seasons at the Declasse side, Ranaso joined Stellar Division side Eastal Lunar for V-League Season 28 and helped them win the Vilitan Cup despite relegation from the Stellar Division. Ranaso wouldn't stick around in the lower leagues, however, spending two seasons in Turori before moving to the Turoki Tide where he would win a UICA Champions Cup title.

[ ] Aiden Varess [ - Mliona-Lpaka - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 18 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]

[ ] Kigaoua Oalalka [ - Strike FC (Vilita) - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 22 :: GOALS::SR: 5 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Oalalka never could get settled down in Vilita, taking trial runs at clubs such as the Turoki Tide, Inland Peaks and Mavaloiao before switching gears and looking at international transfer options.

[ 7 ] Rikko Rawaii [ - Arcticala Inlet (Vilita) - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 35 CAPS: 118 :: GOALS::SR: 21 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Rawaii's dribbling ability coupled with lightning pace make him a threat any time he touches the ball, to create something even from nothing with a few quick moves. Rawaii is not known so much as a goalscorer, instead, an opportunity creator. Rawaii was named Player of the Year at Arcticala Inlet during Season 26 and was named Turorian player of the year during Season 27 when Inlet won the Tropical Trophy. Rawaii would win the Stellar Division with Arcticala Inlet during Season 29 finishing second in the goalscoring race.

[ 23 ] Inlite Makakio [ - Makosile (Vilita) - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 19 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]

[ 22 ] Etamara Kulkkiia [ - SC Montfort (TLI) - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 53 :: GOALS::SR: 4 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Kulkkiia was developed at the Cednia Beach Academy having been highly scouted and recruited by teams throughout Turori and even Vilita. After the Turori Eels failure to qualify for World Cup 64, Kulkkiia became the subject of media attention questioning whether the aging crop of players should make way for younger players like Kulkkiia in the Esportiva-hosted Cup of Harmony for World Cup 64. Kulkkiia added his name to the long line of major transfers involving Cednia Beach after being transferred to SC Montfort in the Licentian Isles prior to Season 42

[ ] Teliima Loinara [ - Sporta Eelandii - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]

[ 38 ] Tiika Diirotora [ - Kionao Locals - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 36 CAPS: 55 :: GOALS::SR: 5 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Diirotora is a dedicated and well travelled midfielder who made a name for themselves while leading Kiiarana City to the Vilitan Cup Final in V-League 27. After starting their career in the Liguon Valley, Diirotora made the leap to the Stellar Division for Season 27 and the move payed off with 4 goals and a post season transfer back home to Turori with mega-club Cednia Beach AFC. Diirotora spent a season at Makosile before joining Strike for Season 30.

[ 13 ] Vrotaoa Lorasoiba [ - Arcticala Inlet (Vilita) - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 36 CAPS: 115 :: GOALS::SR: 11 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Lorasoiba's impressive performances for Turoki United, including 5 goals during the V-League 26 season, earned a high-value transfer to top Vilitan side Arcticala Inlet AFC. While it took Lorasoiba some time to get settled into life on the big Island, Lorasoiba's performances were enough to get an invitation to the Turori National Training camp for World Cup 58. Lorasoiba would impress on an international level, becoming one of the most important players in the Eels lineup, and also returned home domestically to help in the rise of Mliona-Lpaka as a domestic and international threat.

FORWARDS:

[ 34 ] Inamari Altariiz [ - Mliona-Lpaka - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 24 :: GOALS::SR: 5 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Altariiz was instantly identified as a high-quality prospect at Mliona-Lpaka and was promoted to the senior squad at 16 years of age taking up a starting role in Mliona-Lpaka's Season 38 campaign. Altariiz was named Mliona-Lpaka's player of the season for 39 & 40 in addition to being named Turorian Player of the Season during Season 40 after leading MLiona-Lpaka to the Vilitan Cup title.

[ 31 ] Matlya Eelador [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 13 :: GOALS::SR: 3 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Although Eelador was never known as being the most prolific scorer in the Vilitan League, he regularly put forth consistent performances for his club. Eelador was a member of the Cednia Beach AFC squad that won the Vilitan Cup during Season 43, and subsequently went on to win the 50th UICA Globe Cup, the first ever UICA Top-Level Champions from Turori.

[ 8 ] Liinai Zakazaka [ - Jlinal Cove - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 35 CAPS: 138 :: GOALS::SR: 58 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Zakazaka joined Jlinal Cove FC for the V-League 27 season and gained some attention back in Turori for their contribution to the 'Cove's impressive top-4 finish in the final standings. Zakazaka was named Jlinal Cove's top player during Season 28. After a further 5 times, and being Top Goalscorer in the Declasse during Season 32, Zakazaka sought higher honors moving to home to Turori to play for Mliona-Lpaka. Zakazaka was the runner-up in the Stellar Division top Goalscorer charts in Season 38 before moving back to Vilita, this time to the Island of Turoki, to play for the Turoki Tide.

[ 9 ] Anuh Ciniima [ - Morata Valley (Vilita) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 36 CAPS: 57 :: GOALS::SR: 6 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Ciniima was born in Turori to Misrantian parents before moving to Vilita to study and train for his sporting career. The unselfish striker joined Morata Valley after their promotion to the Stellar Division for Season 27 as a compliment to Turorian Striker Loala Kigoouao. Ciniima, while able to put the ball in the net when needed, has shown to be an expert decision maker, recording twice as many assists as goals inside the box.

[ 24 ] Enluta Makakio [ - Strike FC (Vilita) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 35 :: GOALS::SR: 18 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
After coming through the ranks in Kionao, Makakio's performances got the attention of the scouts at Strike FC who signed the young Turorian attacker for their Season 39 campaign.

[ ] Mirana Gotuai [ - Mist City Floatzels (NSI) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 16 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Gotuai left with his family to the warmth of the Northern Sunrise Islands but never stopped playing the sport he loved, joining the Mist City Floatzels. Not looking to lose track of this potentially exciting attacking prospect, the Turorian Football Association invited Gotuai to train and travel with the team during Qualifications for World Cup 68.

[ 18 ] Loala Kigoouao [ - Sporta Eelandii - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 36 CAPS: 77 :: GOALS::SR: 24 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Kigoouao signed for Morata Valley FC for V-League 26 and instantly made an impact at the Vilitan club, earning Top Goalscorer honors in the Declasse while leading Morata Valley to Stellar Division Promotion. Kigoouao was unfazed by the higher level of competition, upping the goal count to 16 in Season 27 and firmly setting the expectation that they would be the go-to forward for the Turori National Team in World Cup 58. Kigoouao was named Morata Valley player of the season during Season 27 and 28. After many outstanding seasons at Morata Valley, Kigoouao joined the Turoki Tide for V-League 30.

[ 19 ] Jukkia Diijelhma [ - Yeaddin Owls (Vilita) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 36 CAPS: 62 :: GOALS::SR: 17 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Born in Starblaydia, Diijelhma moved to Turori following V-League Season 26 to pursue a new career in the Island Emirate. Diijelhma was one of the few Kionao Locals players in their disasterous V-League 27 season to receive even neutral reviews. Despite scoring no goals on the season, the Striker showed some skill that was required for the Locals to avoid another relegation in Season 28, and also proved to be useful for the Turori National team. After 7 seasons in Kionao, Diijelhma moved to Vilita to play for Jlinal Cove along side National Team star Liinai Zakazaka.

Caps and goals are still set to post-WC67 (but no-one ever mentions those anyway. Here's the Starblaydi squad in time for the deadline, with an update (formation graphic, descriptions, etc) to come ASAP.

Staff
FB. Frederico Blassii, Manager, 50
77 Caps, 1 Goal (4 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
A former Right Back for Cedrus Soundgardia and the national team, Freddie's father was the Vice-President of the SFA before being involved in some dodgy match-fixing scandals. Under his tenure, ably assisted by Kochanska, Starblaydia have risen to 12th in the world and 6th in the regional rankings of the powerhouse of Atlantian Oceania.

LK. Lena Kochanska*, Assistant Manager, 46
104 Caps, 61 Goals (9 Caps, 5 Goals at Under-21 level)
Starblaydia's leading all-time goalscorer, recently retired, was thrust straight into Starblaydia's sink-or-swim Under-21 setup. Since then she's reached the Quarter and Semi-Finals by revitalising Starblaydia's youth set-up and mindset.

Goalkeepers
1. Lucas Cable, GK, 35 - Jhanna United
72 Caps, 0 Goals (4 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
Lucas Cable has an ability to just know where the ball is going to go. Some pundits point to reaction times, others to positioning and reading of the game, and others just to incredibly good luck. Very rarely is he sent the wrong way or unsighted and fooled by the flight of a ball, so much that seeing him concede makes you wonder what went wrong. Named the best goalkeeper of World Cup 67, and claimed to be the Best in the World. His occasional struggles with niggling injuries are his only negative point.

12. Kris Miller, GK, 32 - Hecia
2 Caps, 0 Goals (6 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
Unfortunately for Miller, Cable is just that much better than this 31 year old. Captain of the Nemyan Hecia side, Miller is a highly capable keeper, professional enough to know that when his time comes, he must take it with both hands.

19. Omar Musandan, GK, 27 - Jhanna City
2 Caps, 0 goals (6 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
Sitting on the bench for two straight Di Bradini Cups and seeing Starblaydia ship 23 goals in 6 matches is the driving force behind Musandan's international career: never again. In DBC29 he kept two clean sheets on the way to the Quarter-Finals, and is a master shot-stopper with a growing reputation for saving penalties.

Defenders
2. Giselle Isom*, RB, 27 - FC Farça
14 Caps, 0 Goals (8 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
This girl really knows how to play, possessing an amazing touch that works equally well when stealing the ball off the shoelaces of an attacker, or passing anywhere up to sixty yards around the pitch. Whether close up and tricky one-twos or crossfield balls that could hit a postage stamp, Isom's control of the ball is simply excellent.

3. Erik Hoffman, LB, 31 - Iskara Daii
19 Caps, 0 Goals (6 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
Late in his career, Hoffman has made the left full-back spot his own. His composed performances for the Daii certainly have been replicated during his appearances for the national team. He hits a good free kick, too, curling in from out wide on the right.

20. Thomas Wilson, CB, 26 - Beverington Hawks
5 Caps, 0 Goals (8 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
A former Under-21 Cpatain, Wilson has a good all-round defensive game built around power and pace. He's replaced Zambrano in the line-up and is even under the microscope of several V-League clubs. Looks set to bethe bedrock of the Starblaydi defence for the next few Cups.

6. Xavier Nunez, CB, 29 - Corinthian Spirits
24 Caps Caps, 0 Goals (4 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
Nunez has a rather physical style at Centre Back, but it has worked well in the past. Nunez is the likely name to be winning the ball in the air, or putting his body on the line to block a shot. Not afraid of a shirt pull or cheeky elbow, either, he's the first one to stand up for his teammates in a physical confrontation.

13. Oin Hatrazarn^, C/RB, 28 - Karak Ungor Chiefs
8 Caps, 0 Goals (3 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
This Dwarf is not your typical Centre Back build, Hatrazarn does at least have a great leap for those high balls. Like most Dwarves he's solid as a rock in defence, but it's his vision and playmaking from that back that really makes his game stand out.

14. David Morton, RB/RWB, 33 - Nidola United
26 Caps, 0 Goals (4 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
Still Nidola's favourite son, Morton's voracious attacking play down the wings often brings great results. Through age and a more restrained national team set-up he has to be a little more forward-minded for his country.

20. Gerhard Beraht, C/LB, 25 - Hallad Reavers
Uncapped (6 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
A tall and rangy left-footed defender, still seemingly unable to have his club managers decide if he's better at Centre Back or Left Back. Perhaps a few appearances at this AOCAF will help his coaches decide.

Midfielders
4. Lorenzo Jinalii, DM, 27 - Appleoosa HC (Equestrian States)
23 Caps, 1 Goal (11 Caps, 1 Goal at Under-21 level)
Plucked straight from the Under-21s and groomed as the successor to Kylee Constantini, Jinalii immediately made the Defensive Midfield position his own with a string of outstanding performances at the DBC, AOCAF and World Cup. He's obviously a tough and athletic young man but instead of breaking up play with a sledgehammer, he does it with a scalpel. A great range of passing means that defence is often quickly turned into attack when he challenges his opponents.

7. Nigel Harrington, Captain, R/CM, 32 - Foxchester Raiders
21 Caps, 8 Goals (3 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
Good old Harrington, who's performances for Foxchester are as solid as his side-parting and moustache, he's the personification of the spiffing Britannican gentleman playing for Lord-Protector and country. Always running for 90 minutes, always unflappable in the face of the opposition, always with a keen eye for a pass, shot or set piece, Harrington is the type of player you can rely on in any situation. With Khurnos out injured for this tournament, Harrington comes in to take both the right midfield slot and the captain's armband. Great, patriotic stuff.

8. Ffion McAllister*, A/LM, 25 - Montepool Waves
25 Caps, 8 Goals (6 Caps, 1 Goals at Under-21 level)
McAllilster has found almost immediate fame and success in her short career. She uses her speed to continually pop up and score goals - she singlehandedly gave the entire Farfadillis team the scare in AOCAF 42, bringing Starblaydia from 3-0 down to 3-2 with minutes to go in their Second Round defeat. Having announced herself as a seventeen year old with a brace against Åsløtten-Bëðerbørg så Česky in a 5-2 World Cup Qualifying win, and top-scoring for Starblaydia at the last AOCAF, McAllister is well on her way to fuflfilling her destiny.

11. Brazadar Khurnos^, Captain, R/LM, 34 - Karak Ungor Chiefs
80 Caps, 18 Goals (9 Caps, 3 Goals at Under-21 level)
Khurnos retains the captaincy from the unsuccessful 66th World Cup campaign thanks to his versatility, leadership and never-say-die attitude. Khurnos leads not only with his booming voice but also his unshakable heart, using his play on the field as an example to the rest of his team. Trying to challenge him on the run has been described as like tackling a cannon ball.

15. Benjamin Koenig, CB/DM, 20 - Foxchester Raiders
Uncapped (8 Caps, 1 Goal at Under-21 level)
Although his elder sister Inga was earmarked as the main talent at the Raiders, Ben is the one with the first call-up to the national team. His versatility as a Centre Back or Defensive Midfielder is his real strength.

16. Christophe Rivera, LM, 21 - Internashionale
Uncapped (1 Cap, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
He's young and fast, able to go past defenders in a flash and with an eye for goal, just perhaps not the best decision maker in terms of when to shoot and when to pass. If he can lose his youthful over-exuberance, he can mature into a great player.

21. Tristan Marrones, L/DM, 19 - Avenida Leal (Farfadillis)
48 Caps, 6 Goals (8 Caps, 1 Goal at Under-21 level)
This young Starblaydi descendant of Starblaydia's first female captain, Betanii Marrones, is known for his athleticism and range of passing across the park as a highly useful utility player.

22. Alex Wong, AM, 30 - Penningworth United
1 Cap, 0 Goals (4 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
When the Pennies need a goal, they look to Alex Wong. Either as creator or finisher, Wong often provides the spark for his team's victory. When he goes missing, however, or is marked out of the game, he tends to be completely anonymous. Still, with the right midfield against the right opposition, he can boss an entire game as it revolves around him.

Assistant Manager and Record human Goalscorer Lena Kochanska

Forwards
9. Jeremy Anselm, SC, 26 - Crystopolis City (Crystal Empire)

20 Caps, 8 Goals (8 Caps, 3 Goals at Under-21 level)
Top-scored for the Starblaydi team at the 29th Di Bradini Cup with 3 in 6 matches, Anselm has developed from the up and coming star to a real Starting XI player thanks to 4 goals in 12 appearances at World Cup 67. Although often used as a target man, he can also bring others into attacking play with ease thanks to his awareness and touch.

10. Khazdar Branmar^, SC/CF, 31 - Karak Ungor Chiefs
28 Caps, 11 Goals (7 Caps, 1 Goals at Under-21 level)
The 'big man' of the Chiefs, Branmar's all-action style sees him as a frenetic ball of energy on the pitch. Always chasing down, always tackling back and defending corners as much as attacking them. This Dwarf certainly has a temper and, if he's not involved in the game, tends to go hunting for the ball - sometimes with mixed results. Has one hell of a good shot, too.

17. Stephen Landsberg, SC, 23 - Lylat Starfox (Northern Sunrise Islands)
8 Caps, 3 Goal (12 Caps, 6 Goals at Under-21 level)
Moving from the perennially unfashionable Cubs, to the much more exciting-sounding Lylat Starfox, Landsberg proved he could get the job when required even as a teenager at the World Cup. He's a very dangerous substitute to bring on, as he has the goals within him to change any game

18. Kelly Wu*, SC, 20 - Afonse Battalion (Northern Sunrise Islands)
Uncapped (11 Caps, 3 Goals at Under-21 level)
The second of Starblaydia's young strikers to take a move to Northern Sunrise Islands, Wu is slight and speedy, with a low centre of gravity to turn opposition defenders and bring other players into the game. Perhaps needs to learn to put the ball in the back of the net rather than try and walk it in, though.

23. Abdullah bin Rashid, SC, 20 - Hernsworth Cubs
2 Caps, 0 Goals (8 Caps, 2 Goals at Under-21 level)
With three young and promising strikers on the bench this AOCAF, all of them know they need to make their mark now if they are to be in consideration for World Cup 68. Abdullah is no different, and this tall striker from the unfashionable Cubs side is looking to impress when - or if - he gets the chance.

STAFF:
Manager: Morten Rasmussen, 62
Record in Charge: P 126, W 99, D 14, L 12, GF 255, GA 87, GD +168, WP 79%
He did it! After guiding the Terns through a slightly rockier path to a third World Cup final in three tournaments, he finally helped our players to keep it together in the final match, and the Terns are World Cup Champions. And oh, does that ever feel good. Couple that with being the record three-time winners of the Copa Rushmori, and it's clear to see that the Terns have never been higher. Former FC Axel Heiburg boss Morten Rasmussen took over at the helm of the Terns five cycles ago now, and he has been a revelation, turning the side into one of the hardest teams in the Multiverse to beat. Two of his twelve defeats in charge of the Terns, a full sixth of them, have been in the World Cup final. Twice they've come close, and twice he's picked them back up again. The third team they succeeded, but with inspirational players like Saarinen and Cornelius announcing their international retirement upon arrival back in Franz Josef City, Rasmussen had to use the Copa Rushmori and subsequent friendlies to experiment with team selection. He has a team in mind now, and it's a team ready to compete. Anybody hoping the Terns will be happy to just sit back now they've finally got their hands on a title will be sorely disappointed. The Confederations Cup win proved that.

Assistant Manager: Steffan Pekarik, 50
Steffan Pekarik is a player who knows what it takes to succeed. Holding 141 caps for the Terns and appearing for East Franz Athletic and KagPaz club Urajbina, he later joined Axel Heiburg and in his last ever season of professional playing he was there to lift their first ever Divisjon One title as captain, all under Morten Rasmussen's guidance. He then went straight into the coaching set-up at the Argonauts and was the assistant manager by the time Jorgen Hauge lifted the title three seasons later. Upon Rasmussen's job offer at the Terns, Pekarik was swiftly whisked across as well, and it is thought that the inspirational and dynamic former left-back with the talent for man-management is being trained and prepared for a crack at a big management job himself in the future, with many media outlets predicting that World Cup 68 will be his last with the Terns. He has instilled a fierce sense of determination in the players he's coached in the past, so if you find yourself getting more roughed up against us than you have done in the past, blame Pekarik.

PLAYERS:
#1 - GK - Iulian Kirilaunen - Age 28 - Image FC1. Surtsey Island Gulls Image - 70 Caps
Kirilaunen was handed the number one jersey at Surtsey a while ago now, repaying the confidence shown in him almost immediately by producing some outstanding performances to help the Gulls exceed all expectations. Being twenty-eight years old means he is a goalkeeper well able to represent his national team as the number one with the calmness and authority required, but you tend to all that during the match as your eyes are instead drawn to his consistently good positioning, and the organisation of his back four. Despite his closest rival for the number one jersey winning the Champions' Cup, twice, Iulian still holds onto it thanks to his lack of reliance on the defence in front of him. There's a good reason for this, and his speed off his line when acting as a sweeper-keeper will no doubt save the day on the occasions that see his team-mates getting caught flat-footed.

#2 - DR - Moses Luc Bjerregaard - Age 21 - Image SK Franz Josef City Image - 50 Caps, 17 Assists, 5 Goals
At just seventeen years of age, Bjerregaard was the youngest player to get a call-up to the Terns squad since Alexsandr van Sorensen, and it's not hard to see why. Still only on the verge of his twenty-second birthday, he is lightning fast, fearless, with a wicked control of a dead ball, and has a willingness to run at players that means Bjerregaard has all the credentials required to be a fine right winger. However, when you add a tough tackle, the ability to read the game, and a keen positional sense into the equation, it's easy to see why Bjerregaard can make such a devastating wing-back. Hence, he is perfect for Rasmussen's formation. His strength in the air can leave something to be desired, but he's still young, and coming off the back of some stunning performances at the World Cup he has been brought back from Astograth to Divisjon One by SK Franz Josef City. He's on the verge of becoming a global superstar, and Rasmussen will have to manage the attention and hype carefully.

#3 - DC - Aapo Nordenberg - Age 27 - Image Ituraitz FC (ASG) Image - 42 Caps, 2 Assists, 1 Goal
Oyen-Spekke's retirement left a gap at centre-back that Rasmussen could have filled with any one of the many talented centre-backs that the nation is awash with at the moment. In the end, he opted for the player who was brought from FC Torshavn to East Franz Athletic to replace Oyen-Spekke there as well. Nordenberg has previously found it easy to slip under the radar and avoid the hype, though at East Franz his quietly impressive performances changed that, and with the club's failure to qualify for UICA tournaments two cycles ago he was sold to Ituraitz FC in order to balance the books, where he has excelled. Quiet, considered, and a scholar of the game, his game reading is excellent, meaning he is often able to make a challenge and prevent a dangerous situation before it even materialises. This lack of eye-catching last minute tackles contributes towards his relatively low-key profile, though they are of course also indicative of his ability to stop them being necessary in the first place. Tall, strong, and with a fine touch, Nordenberg is one of the ball-playing central defenders that are now becoming the vogue around the leagues. An instrumental part of the World Cup winning squad.

#4 - DC - Morten Salo - Age 28 - Image Echegoyan FC (ASG) Image - 40 Caps, 1 Assist, 4 Goals
Blunt, abrasive, and aggressive; Salo is anything but the life and soul of a party. Not that this matters in central defence, of course, and whilst he will be the first to admit his fondness for hoofing the ball out of danger as soon as possible, this can sometimes be the appropriate response. With a sly elbow here and there, Salo is the master of getting away with little fouls when the officials aren't looking, and he can often be seen arguing on the pitch with his teammates, opposition strikers, the match officials, and even his own management team. He only does this because he has the team's best interests at heart however, and he is a keen team player; always being relied upon to give his all for his team, something his teammates at Echegoyan no doubt appreciate despite under-performing in the league last season. You want him with you rather than against you, that's for sure, and he is the third of the back four to play his trade in Astograth.

#5 - DL - Kohev Küngas-Vaga - Age 31 - Image Northbrook Diamonds FK Image - 159 Caps, 29 Assists, 15 Goals - CAPTAIN
This defender is well known and trusted by the management team, and after having taken the armband after the retirement of Alexsandr van Sorensen, Kohev will forever go down in history as the Terns' first World Cup winning skipper. As captain for club and country, he is a combative and battling left-back, though he is a talented centre back and defensive midfielder as well, and this enthusiasm and adaptability is something that Rasmussen will be able to make good use of. Originally moving to the first team as a result of Edvar Folke's previous hamstring tear, his athleticism was called upon to offer support and attacks from down the left side, and he later ousted the SK defender from the starting XI entirely. One of the youngest players to ever move past a hundred caps for his country, he found the final defeats particularly hard to take, and took great personal triumph in lifting the trophy - the second time he had done such a thing after previously captaining the Terns to their third Copa Rushmori victory.

#6 - DMC - Eikr Lillehammer - Age 28 - Image Cednia Beach AFC (TUR) Image - 65 Caps, 5 Assists, 3 Goals - Vice-Captain
Eikr Lillehammer was never even in contention for an u-21s berth in his youth, and indeed he was let go by the Northbrook Academy without much fanfare and picked up by AFK Hans Island Pioneers. Performances there lead SK Aasiaat Harbour to purchase his services a few seasons ago, and by the end of his first year there he’d very much played his way into being one of the first names on the team sheet. With a battling mentality and a whole heap of confidence, Eikr is flying, and Rasmussen had an easy decision when it came to deciding who was going to replace Sudesval in the starting line-up. He played astonishingly well in the World Cup final, earning the Man of the Match award for his endeavours as well as the chance to make a move to Turori giants Cednia Beach AFC. Always one to rely on in the big games, Lillehammer put together a string of impressive performances as his club powered to the Globe Cup title last season - let's hope he'll be bringing the same determination to the Terns this time around.

#7 - MC - Bjorn Konigstein - Age 23 - Image SK Franz Josef City Image - 11 Caps, 4 Assists, 2 Goals
With all the money at SK's disposal and all the attraction of playing for the biggest club in the Federation, they can pretty much bring in whoever they want. How remarkable, therefore, that the diminutive Bjorn Konigstein has fought his way through the youth academy and has been commanding a place in the starting line-up for years now. Full of youthful enthusiasm and energy, he's got a sort of magnetic presence on the pitch that just seems to draw the ball towards him, and he is adept at launching forwards and finishing attacks with a sweet strike from the edge of the box. Not a holding midfielder by any stretch of the imagination, he nonetheless treads the line without being classed an attacking midfielder. Rasmussen was impressed with his performances during the Copa and subsequent friendlies, and as such he is being given a run in the first team during qualifiers, ousting Einarsson for now and justifying that with some good performances at the Confederations Cup.

#8 - MC - Jorgen Kirvesniemi - Age 29 - Image Fontvielle Impact (VLD) Image - 76 Caps, 9 Assists, 7 Goals
Appearing regularly in the top flight for Rapid Jan Mayen and then later in Divisjon Two, his signing by Red Star Severny was seen another step in the young midfielder's development; not to mention being a decision that brought him to the attentions of first van der Riise, then Rasmussen, and then the Valladar giants of Fontvielle Impact. He has it all in his locker, and can twist and turn out of danger or provide a battling block as necessary. He can inspire and rifle in assists, or he can sit back and dictate play. Unwilling to let him become a positional expert, the coaches let him add to his arsenal of overall talents, a decision that is paying off now as he takes his place in the starting line-up as an exceptionally versatile asset. Has been described in the past as another Hansen or Bielsen in the making, and his number of caps is testament to that when you consider that this will be only this fourth tournament at which he has been first choice. Incredibly versatile, incredibly reliable, incredibly determined, with an engine that just won't quit - he's the perfect tournament player and a rock on which to build your midfield.

#9 - ST - Gustaf Kolehmainen - Age 29 - Image SK Franz Josef City Image - 78 Caps, 7 Assists, 49 Goals
With a vicious right boot and a desire to succeed, Gustaf Kolehmainen is perhaps the player upon whom Surtsey have built their recent success, and the player that proved the difference for the Terns at the World Cup. How devastating for the Gulls therefore that a series of personal tragedies left him feeling like he could no longer stay in the city, leading him to make a move for SK Franz Josef City of all teams. Has scored forty-six goals for the Terns in just seventy-three matches so far, bringing him to the cusp of the all-time top scorers charts, and he has been widely lauded for his performances in which he has utilised his broad range of talents, fitting into whatever formation he is required to do so. He can lead the line, he can support it, he can poach, he can hit screamers, he's strong, he's fast, he's two footed, he's strong in the air; he's the perfect all round striker, and Surtsey's loss is SK's gain. Right now though, he's solely focused on scoring more for the Terns and propelling them to a fourth World Cup final. He was the inspirational presence up front as the Terns won number three at last, after all, and Rasmussen will be relying on the enigmatic Kolehmainen to repeat that dynamism in the search for a second world title. If Rasmussen and Pekarik can keep their star striker's mood up and his focus on the pitch rather than off it, then we will surely see him screech past Kvitchenko, Ackermann-Finn, and Saarinen in the all-time charts, and underline his position as one of the Multiverse's most feared strikers.

#10 - MC - Jean-Eric Villeneuve - Age 30 - Image Northbrook Diamonds FK Image - 120 Caps, 61 Assists, 17 Goals
Moving back to Northbrook from Cap Nordique in Cotdelapoms, Villeneuve is a creative attacking midfielder in the same mould as Lepka and Demarchelier and, like the latter, he hails from the Rochefroides community of Ellismare. Fluent in five languages, he is incredibly intelligent as far as footballers go, and his range of passing and vision on the pitch is evidence of this. Not the fastest player to have ever hit the turf, he lets the football do all the hard work for him, which can lead to his apparent lack of effort being an easy target for disgruntled fans is results aren't going so well. Fortunately, with Jean-Eric in the side, this is rarely the case, and with the help of Rasmussen and Pekarik's encouragement, even the pace and athleticism is still improving, with the astonishing number of assists he got at the World Cup proving to be the fruits of his labours. He's at the height of his game right now, and has been moved forwards into the number ten role as a result, partially in a bid to cover his relative lack of pace in getting back to defend - a task that would be rather more urgently asked of him were he still playing in the midfield - and partially to shoulder the burden of replacing van Sorensen's spark that Zeljeznicar was apparently unable to bear with reliable success.

#11 - ST - Torsten Wolff - Age 26 - Image Sporting Iturributa (ITB) Image - 32 Caps, 3 Assist, 11 Goals
Having made a good impression with the u-21s, Wolff has had to wait patiently for his chance in the first team thanks to the strength of the Kolehmainen-Saarinen partnership. With the veteran Illich-Svitych and two other young strikers also in the frame to take the spot in the first team, Wolff took his chance in Ossidiacqua with a stunning hat trick against Filopines that convinced Rasmussen and Pekarik that the near future is all about the Kolehmainen-Wolff partnership. With an easy-going nature, his partnership with Frederiksen at the DBC had a distinct air of the odd-couple about it, but it nonetheless worked quite well, and his keen eye for the top corner of the goal from wherever he is in the box has made him a fan favourite. And yes, he's heard all the wolf jokes already.

#12 - GK - Artemiusz Korzhanenko - Age 31 - Image SK Franz Josef City Image - 46 Caps
Korzhanenko is nigh on unbeatable when running out for the ball in the box. He also has a great record in penalty shoot outs, and was there providing vital coaching to Kirilaunen in the minutes before the shoot-out against Eura in the World Cup whilst a substitute. Although he has lost the number one jersey to Kirilaunen over the course of the last few cycles, Korzhanenko is the perfectly professional, and you won't see him causing a fuss from the bench - he knows that it is ultimately great for the team that the two best keepers for the national team are competing against each other with the two best teams of recent years in Divisjon One. A great calming presence to have in the locker room, and now a two-time Champions' Cup winner as well.

#13 - GK - Leif Ulsletten - Age 24 - Image Red Star Severny Image - 3 Caps
With Alexis Sand carrying a minor niggle into the Copa, Rasmussen turned to Red Star goalkeeper Ulsletten for the number thirteen shirt at the tournament, giving him a run of three games in the friendlies that followed the tournament. Having only just made his breakthrough for his club, the call-up looked to have surprised Ulsletten somewhat, but you would have never been able to tell that from his performances in those games - keeping three clean sheets and making a string of saves behind an inexperienced defence, convincing Rasmussen to keep him in the team for the World Cup in the process. He's still learning, too, which can only be a good thing. Fast, nimble, and with excellent distribution - Kirilaunen's one big weakness - his long throws can often be the first line of attack for his sides.

#14 - AMC - Alexis Zeljeznicar - Age 27 - Image Ituraitz FC (ASG) Image - 56 Caps, 17 Assists, 12 Goals
After starting out for South Factory courtesy of their Polarian connections, Zeljeznicar was snapped up by the famous Ituraitz FC when South Factory were relegated. Like Linus Bosnjakovic and of similar age, he is also a former striker that has since retreated to a more supporting role, reminiscent of another certain Tern that you may have heard of. Pacy, aggressive, a handful in the box for both sets of players, and wickedly talented, if he could only stop basing his lifestyle of Timo Skye's he could be very good indeed, though his critics will continue to argue that he doesn't get enough assists or goals. Despite having visibly calmed down recently, he appeared to struggle with the huge task of replacing van Sorensen in the number ten position, and Rasmussen has made the decision to drop him to the bench again. His confidence appears to be on the increase again as a result, and despite taking a lead role for his club it would see that the super-sub role suits his demeanour better for his country.

#15 - DL - Fabian Vaaraniemi - Age 28 - Image Raynor City United (VAL) Image - 55 Caps, 6 Assists, 2 Goals
A hugely impressive series of performances in Divisjon One has seen this fleet of foot left back from the Flotilla make the spot on the bench for the Terns his own. Lightning fast and with a hefty amount of momentum given the chance to run, he will be hard to stop late on in games should he come on. Finally got his first goal with one of his trademark stinging free kicks, and when faced with an intensely defensive opponent, I wouldn't be surprised to see Rasmussen move Kungas-Vaga to defensive midfield and have Vaaraniemi on the pitch just to utilise his dead ball skills when near the opposition box. Intensely loyal to the Flotilla for many years, he finally has the chance to prove his credentials after being made an offer by Raynor City United that he couldn't refuse. He is a noble player with a strong sense of fair play and absolutely deserves his affectionate nickname of 'Sir Fabian'.

#16 - DR - Alexis St Olaf - Age 29 - Image Hondo FC (VAL) Image - 27 Caps, 2 Assists, 1 Goal
Rasmussen unearthed something of a gem when he found St Olaf. Well known to Argonauts fans, his efforts had thus far eluded the attentions of the more international eye. Until his domestic manager became his national manager, that is. Fluent at playing on both flanks, it was Rasmussen himself who discovered Alexis St Olaf in the 'out tray' of the Haapa-Mechelin Academy and brought him back into the youth set-up, retraining him from a winger to a wing-back in the process, the same process current first-choice Bjerregaard has gone through just recently. Given the presence of Vaaraniemi in the squad it is likely we will only see St Olaf operating on the right this tournament, though in an emergency this versatile youngster can play pretty much anywhere but up front. His appearances for the Terns caught the eye of foreign clubs, and he now turns out for Vanorian outfit Hondo FC. Vauxhall Jansen impressed the Terns management during his cameos at the Copa, but it is thought that having two young full-backs in a World Cup squad struck Rasmussen as foolhardy, and so the age and experience of St Olaf comes back in.

#17 - DMC - Anders Holzhauser - Age 23 - Image Northbrook Diamonds FK Image - 24 Caps, 2 Assists, 1 Goal
Came straight from the DBC to feature at his first Copa Rushmori three Copas ago, and did so again along with Bjerregaard two cycles ago in Charruterra, providing performances enough to convince Rasmussen to take him along in his squads ever since. Holzhauser is a strong and tough-tackling defensive midfielder that has made quite an impact on Rasmussen, who has been to Apox several times to watch him play in the league. With a commanding presence, he quickly grabs the eye as he marshals the defence behind him, and though he is able to fill in at centre back should he be required to, Holzhauser has the urge and the ability to push forwards in possession of the ball and add a different dimension to the attack in the process. All this international exposure was bound to create a big move for him eventually however, and he will now be turning out for Divisjon One giants Northbrook Diamonds FK, who splashed the cash necessary to get Issington to part with one of their prized assets. If he recreates what he's capable of for the Diamonds on a regular basis, they'll think him cheap at twice the price.

#18 - ST - Victor Larsen - Age 24 - Image Red Star Severny Image - 8 Caps, 1 Assist, 3 Caps
Huge, hulking, physically intimidating, and with a foot like a traction engine, Victor Larsen is notable for being - along with Nilsson - the first black Polarian to ever be called up to the national team. Impressive with the Chicks at u-21s level, his pace and raw power can change the game in an instant, and he has been doing just that with Red Star in Divisjon One. Described as a human battering ram, he provides something very different from the bench, and it will be interesting to see how Rasmussen uses him with the other strikers in the squad when it comes to deployment on the pitch.

#19 - MC - Erik Bergen - Age 23 - Image Astograth University (ASG) Image - 2 Caps
It's not often that a midfielder is called into a World Cup squad uncapped when midfielders had been specifically looked at for the open spot during the Copa, but that's exactly what has happened to Erik Bergen here thanks to the added opporunity presented to Rasmussen by entering the Confederations Cup pre-qualification. FC Axel Heiburg are used to having more players in t Terns roster than they have here - none - but the numbers of former-Argonauts have been bolstered once again by the addition of Erik Bergen (calling into question the transfer strategy at Axel Torvig Park since Rasmussen left in the process). Bergen's move to Astograth University raised few eyebrows at the time, but the performances of the youngster during that season have certainly raised eyebrows since as he helped his club to an historic league and cup double. Such a performance cannot be overlooked by Rasmussen and his scouts, and the gangly midfielder with an eye for a pass and a bucketload of hard work and determination has been brought into the squad as a result. Of course, Rasmussen has been accused in the past of bringing players in prematurely - Zeljeznicar for example - so let's hope Bergen isn't another in that category.

#20 - ST - Vadim Illich-Svitych - Age 31 - Image Ituraitz FC (ASG) Image - 93 Caps, 6 Assists, 26 Goals
Illich-Svitych comes into the twenty-three once again with a host of experience, a point to prove, and a bad-ass name. Trusted and relied upon by Rasmussen in the past for both FC Axel Heiburg and the Terns, it is safe to say that he never quite hit the heights for the Terns that he managed for the Argonauts or at his new club Ituraitz. After being dropped from the national team initially, his domestic form stuttered as well, and when the Argonauts had the opportunity to bring in Skorji Oslograd Illich-Svitcyh was offered the golden handshake. Snapped up by Ituraitz FC, his service from Zeljeznicar has seen him regain his form in explosive style, so much so that Rasmussen would have been a fool not to select him. Indeed, the way he continues to bang in the goals in Astograth convinced Rasmussen to re-call him to replace a Vasek Frederiksen who'd had a so-so season in Mytannion. Let's just see how often Rasmussen recreates that relationship between Zeljeznicar and Illich-Svitych on the pitch this cycle.

#21 - MC - Svenbjorn Einarsson - Age 27 - Image Mâ Âlâmëómë (FFD) Image - 41 Caps, 7 Assists, 4 Goals
Red Star are making a habit of producing impressive midfielders recently, and their management will be frustrated that Einarsson is another one that they've allowed to slip away through their fingers - in Svenbjorn's case, to Farfadillis, where his experience has seen him drop the "defensive" prefix from his job title and start adding goals and assists (not to mention player awards) to his game. Strong and acutely accurate with his passing, Einarsson impressed at the last World Cup, and despite losing his starting spot to Konigstein it is hoped we will see the best of Einarsson before the tournament is over, where his youthful energy and willingness to chase any seemingly lost cause could change a game late on. Though, questions remain over his ability to stay calm when provoked, something working with Pekarik hasn't exactly helped.

#22 - DC - Yann-Erik Nilsson - Age 23 - Image SK Franz Josef City Image - 5 Caps
Second of the two young two-time Champions' Cup winners to have graduated from the SK youth academy, Nilsson brings a certain attacking joie de vivre into the back four, with him seemingly unable to lose the attacking influence on his game he gets from being half Acquan himself. Strong and difficult to dispossess, he will often try and play his way out of danger - and usually succeeds at that. Needs to mature slightly and realise that the time isn't always right for bombing forwards and leaving a gap behind you, but it's always worked for him at SK, and he'll be an interesting player to give a game to as he continues to make a name for himself with the Terns.

#23 - DC - Torsten Navarro - Age 23 - Image FC1. Surtsey Island Gulls Image - 6 Caps, 2 Goals
After graduating through the Haapa-Mechelin Youth Academy, Kulmsaari national Torsten Navarro instead elected to leave the club and was snapped up by Novaya Sibir Reds. Enjoying the increased game time he got by making such a move, he blossomed into the tough tackling defender we know today, and his stock only increased when the Reds were relegated and he was pursued by Surtsey. An integral part of their Divisjon One and Copa de Campeones winning side, he is now looked on enviously by Axel Heiburg fans, and as he makes his Terns appearances through the Polarian passport of his grandparents, he will have his determined eyes on retaining the spot for the World Cup.

TACTICS: "The Pythagorean" 2-3-3-2
The Polarian game is methodical, abrasive, technical, and physical. They won't give you a second on the ball to think, and they won't hold back in the tackle. In the centre of the park they will play a possession based midfield game of triangles, though a defence splitting pass could come at any moment towards the fast and direct attack. Rasmussen plays a narrow and heavily modified diamond formation dubbed the Pythagorean by the sporting press. It is reliant upon two key triangular sets of players that transcend the normal "rows" of player in conventional formation layouts. Nordenberg, Salo, and Lillehammer will act as the defensive triangle, and Villeneuve, Kolehmainen, and Wolff will counter at the other end as the offensive triangle. Lillehammer's and Villeneuve's roles in this scheme are absolutely crucial, as their job is to support and unlock the other two players in their respective triangles, providing outlets and creativity in abundance. Kirvesniemi and Konigstein are part of a compact and creative midfield that will supply steel or style whenever the situation demands it, as well as partnering up with their respective full backs to form a kind of "bumper" that sweeps the flanks in attack or folds in to protect the penalty area in defence. Fitness of all players will therefore be key to the success of this plan; not just the constant positional changing demanded of Lillehammer and Villeneuve, but the athleticism of Bjerregaard and Küngas-Vaga in particular will also be tested to the limit as their roles require frequent attacking. It's not quite a 4-3-3, it's not quite a 4-1-2-1-2, and it's not quite a W-M... Alright, alright, it's more or less a W-M with a focus on two specific trios of players. It's the Pythagorean.

Penalty Taker: Gustaf Kolehmainen/Aapo Nordenberg/Jorgen Kirvesniemi
Free Kick Taker: Jean-Eric Villeneuve/Moses Luc Bjerregaard/Torsten Wolff
Corner Taker: Jean-Eric Villeneuve/Moses Luc Bjerregaard/Bjorn Konigstein

Svenga Squad for the 68th WC

The Coach: Luke Thompson (The Licentian Islaes) Style Mod: +2

He managed Colesham Athletic previously, but is most famous for his time as co-manager of the Licentian national team, along with Nathan Gardiner-Stewart. He is known as a tactician; while Nathan motivated the team, Luke made the tough personnel decisions that a former player couldn't. Thompson has since proven himself as a solo manager with some fairly successful seasons with Colesham Athletic, and is looking to get back into international management, in the hope that, in the future, he can manage the Cyan-and-Gold solo. He took Svengarda into the group stages of the World Cup for the second time, and will be looking to make it two in a row, despite losing keys players in Tor Olhouser and legend Rihards Ruotsalainen.

Assistant Coach: Kuri Levallånen (42 years old)

He came into the side in rather unfortunate circumstances. Former Assistant Coach Röben Eriksson, former soldier, has retired from coaching due to the injuries he sustained whilst fighting got worse. Kuri was coach of Stormskamer IGK before taking the assistant coaching role.

Squad

Goalkeepers

Vanja Albertsen (0 caps - 0 goals - 24 y/o - HJK Helsirn)

A new talent rising up through the ranks of the domestic league, Vanja stands at a staggering 6ft 10", and has the natural build for a goalkeeper. Since the retirement of 40 year old Pal Lorsen, Albertsen has had to step up to the plate and keep for the national team. A great physical presence in the box, but sometimes he can lose his position around the goal and leave himself open to mistakes.

Jarmo Jakinen (0 caps - 0 goals - 21 y/o - MTK)

Another young talent with fantastic vision and great hands, but lacks first-team experience and the commanding skills of a keeper. Will be immediate back-up for Albertsen, and the World Cup will be a huge learning curve for him.

Eremeni Saari (29 caps - 0 goals - 26 y/o - Valkeavuoren SK)

The reserve keeper drafted into the squad after Lorsen's retirement, Saari has shown several good performances in the domestic league, and as a reward has gained a place in the World Cup Squad.

Defenders

Tommi Nikula (17 caps - 2 goals - 26 y/o - Helsirn CSKA)

One of the several new young players in the squad, Nikula is regarded as the natural successor to Strostrand. A talented wing back as well as a dominant defender in the box and around. Possessing incredible power and extreme acceleration and having the ability to lay killer crosses, Tommi is always the one to spark a counter-attack.

Reko Saari (33 caps - 1 goals - 37 y/o - PPMPA Korska)

One of the ageing stalwarts in the squad Saari is a big man who creates a big presence in the centre of defence. Saari, despite being one of the elder players, he still has a youthful energy about him. He can also be a threat down the other end of the pitch when it comes to corners and crosses. Seriously ageing now, but has one qualifying campaign left in him.

Georg Raske (50 caps - 2 goals - 35 y/o - GKS Erem) CAPTAIN

Georg went from fringe player in earlier World Cups to team captain, rather surprisingly, in the last edition of the competition. Andfossen announced this shortly before the rest of squad annoucement, much to the surprise of the press and just about every fan in the country. After Strostrand had retired, winger Rihards Ruotsalainen was made favourite to be made captain, with Raske at 250/1. Raske is a brick wall in defence, not known for his pace, but able to shut down any play from any number of attacking players.

Saar Bjørnsen (17 caps - 0 goals - 31 y/o - FCK Lupa)

Bjørnsen long has been tipped to be the new Torbjorn Lindstørm, who led the side to their Baptism of Fire victory. He is bigger than his predecessor, standing at 6ft 4" inches, he is not someone you want to run into at speed. We've seen him in two World Cups, and he hasn't quite fulfilled his huge expectations. He has played one or two blinders, but otherwise he has been average. The fans are expecting big things from this man.

Luka Jarvinen (43 caps - 4 goals - 31 y/o - GKS Erem)

He moves with incredible pace when chasing down opposition attackers, and is always in the right place to block a shot or make that last ditch tackle which he has done plenty of times in the past. Good friends with both Raske and Levallånen, they like to joke around and the occasionally don't take the game entirely seriously.

Mikkel Strand (27 caps - 2 goals - 29 y/o - PPMPA Korska)

He's spent a lot of time warming the bench, wrapped up in the numerous layers of SFA-supplied kit, but this might be his breakthrough, with some very talented performances in the domestic game. When he has played, he has shown an adept ability to use the ball from deep and create situations from defence. If he perhaps gets a bit more game time, he could develop his skills and become a real talent, perhaps playing in Defensive midfield or even Midfield.

Eemil Tähtinen (4 caps - 0 goals - 23 y/o - Helsirn CSKA)

An ex-long distance runner who chose football over athletics, Eemil's epic stamina has already been demonstrated in the Superliga. He can just keep going, hour after hour, week-in-week-out. Although his defensive skills might not earn him a regular starting place, he has the potential to become the 'super-sub' for the squad, able to fill in every game.

Midfielders

Hakan Lager (36 caps - 2 goals - 33 y/o - Stormskamer IGK)

A dynamic footballer, Hakan is powerful on both the wing and in and around the area. He has been second place to Jazēps Vang in recent times, and it looks to continue like that as Vang has put in some particularly good performances over the last few months. But nevertheless he has everything a good winger needs: pace, power and good passing ability.

Aatu Jokela (10 caps - 1 goals - 22 y/o - Stormskamer IGK)

Another product of the Stormskamer youth system, Aatu is your typical defensive midfielder, hard hitting tackler and great at spying the long balls required to beat the offside trap and release the forwards. Endless energy and stamina mean that he can cover every square inch of the pitch, make a tackle then track back, before running forward with the counter-attack.

Loreen Steffanssen (10 caps - 4 goals - 23 y/o - Rasmussen SK)

Although Women have always been accepted into the men's national side, the appearance of the two Steffansson's (Kari and Loreen, unrelated) is the first occurrence of this. A perfectly all-round footballer, she is considered to be a lot better than her male counter-parts. Height, strength, a good touch and pace are just some of her many assets which make her a great footballer. Young, still only 19, experience might be her only weakness.

Timo Laathi (24 caps - 1 goals - 26 y/o - West Skal City SK)

Former captain of the U21s, Timo is one of the few players who make the leap from U21 regular to first team regular. No one is sure why there aren't more. Timo is a good roving midfielder, who can operate both in a central role or as a winger or attacking midfielder, but can also drop back and defend like a centre back or a sweeper would. Good close control and excellent footwork make him troublemaker for opposition defences, and also has a good close range shooting ability.

Lukas Aarnsen (0 caps - 0 goals - 20 y/o - HIFK)

Having lived most of his life in the Polar Islandstates, Aarnsen used his mother's Svenga heritage to make himself eligible for selection for Svengarda, as it seemed like an easier option. He originally started out as a striker, but found his strength and creativity better served in the midfield.

Jazēps Vang (45 caps - 7 goals - 30 y/o - DGNC Helsingborg)

A versatile midfield player, he likes to experiment with the ball, and will often try outrageous tricks, just to see if they work. When on form, he is unstoppable, every trick seeming to come off and every reverse-spinning-backheel finding its target. Combine this ingenuity with proper winger's pace always make him a joy to watch for any football fan.

Jame Laukkanen (0 caps - 0 goals - 21 y/o - HJK Helsirn)

Another U21s player, Jame combines searing pace with great vision and good ball control to make him into a formidable winger on the pitch. Young, without much experience, he might be asked to drop straight into the national side on the other side of Kari Steffanssen.

Strikers

Truls Waaserson (55 caps - 32 goals - 35 y/o - Morata Valley (Vilita)

Svengarda's goal factory, and main source of goals for the entire Andfossen regime. A superb first and final touch make Truls deadly as soon as he picks up the ball in the area. He works a lot off his team, taking crosses from the wingers and through-balls from midfielders, and works well by himself or with fellow strikers. In this case, he will be working in front of Svein Danielsen/Kari Steffansson as the sole striker. Another player coming to the end of the line, he will want to finish with one last qualification.

Svein Danielsen (40 caps - 17 goals - 31 y/o - Ferdullaele FC (Farfadillis)

A striker on the same par as Truls Waaserson when it comes to goal scoring ability, but Svein has had to live most of his footballing life in the attacking-midfield role, and that's where he'll play for this WC. Good speed and strength make him ideal for this role, as well as the skill of placing a pass, which is key for playing a single striker. Making a name for himself overseas in Farfadillis, scoring more goals of Ferdullaele FC than the legendary Val Kylx.

Serko Jansen (11 caps - 4 goals - 26 y/o - FCK Lupa)

Serko has gained his place on the merit of his domestic performances for FCK Lupa. His appearance in the side is much to the distaste of the player he replaced; Boghos Danielsen. Serko doesn't expect much play, but when he does, he adds an element of the sublime to his play, and has a habit for scoring some quite brilliant goals, from 25-yard screamers to deft chips.

Kari Steffanssen (3 caps - 1 goals - 23 y/o - DGNC Helsingborg)

The second of the Steffanssen's (again, not related) in the squad, Kari is a small and nimble winger/attacking midfielder, using her surging pace and lightning quick feet to create trouble for any defence. Her ability to get into small spaces in the box always makes her a nuisance to opposition.

Choose my goalscorers Y, but try to keep them in the chosen 16
Godmod scoring events Y, but not too ridiculous
RP injuries to my players Y, but not to serious
Godmod injuries to my players Y, but please don't cripple them
Hand out yellow cards to my players Y, but not excessively
Hand out red cards to my players Y, but not too often
Godmod other events Y, make it funny. As you may have notice Kalumba has a wee bit of a hooligan problem so feel free to mention that

And the team:

Manager: George Davies- Resigned from the first team after a very disappointing start to the World Cup 56, which he deemed disgraceful for a team who had just won the Baptism of Fire, but has since returned to the side. Hoping to rebuild Kalumba's international reputation after a long period away from competition and a decent showing at the last few WCs. Has opted to leave a number of veterans behind for this campaign and place Kalumba's future in the exciting hands of youth, who made a decent showing at the last outing and of whom great things are expected.

First Team Coach: Magnus Malan- Led the team throughout the last World Cup without much success but he did record a notable victory against highly rated Newmanistan, and suffered only narrow defeats to teams in the top 25 in the world. Very defensive minded and his approach led the team to be nicknamed 'The Tortoises'.

Goalkeepers:
Ulusu Mtanda-No.1 23 year old novice, looking to make his debut this time out. Part of the Kahali Spears team which is taking the Kalumban League by storm, and holds a new clean sheet record after going 14 games unbeaten this season.
Frank Burnden-No.67 42 year old veteran keeper, useful back up option. Will not expect to start but will most probably be on the bench to cover for the young keeper in case of injury.
Peter Franks-No.41 23 year old rookie, first selection for the team. Missed out on going to the Di Bradini cup by 2 months, so will be hoping to play a few games to secure his position as long term successor to Ottbourne and to unseat Mtanda. May play in less crucial group games or when Kalumba are knocked out. Still strugging to fulfill his early potential.

Defenders:
LB-Derek Ward, 29 year old truck driver, stupid but effective No. 12 Recently banned from driving for Drink-Driving, will be hoping to secure a place at a foreign club team to provide him with an income.
LCB-Vincent Mkure, 19 year old, member of the Kahali Spears No. 14 Built like the proverbial ox this young man has a long career ahead of him at the heart of Kalumba's defence. And such is his maturity he is already being spoken of as a future captain.
LCB-Duncan Edward, 22 year old, pretty boy, but solid at the back No. 4 Recently married with a child will his mind be fully on the World Cup?
RCB-Kaneu Daima, 22 year old, 6 foot 9, deadly in the air No. 6 Last minute inclusion ahead of the injured Von Harniggen, but his displays for Kahali this season warrant an inclusion anyway.
RCB-Norman Baker, 28 year old bank manager, great slide tackler No. 5 Castigated in the news for losing his bank a large amount of money speculating on the stock market, will try to rebuild his reputation.
RB-James Downs, 39 year old ex-rugpy prop forward, solid but no agility whatsoever No. 3 Recently dropped from his Rugby team so is looking to football for his wage.
RB-Frank Ruyten, 23 year old civil servant, very fast but poor crossing ability No. 19 Has worked on his crossing but still struggles to fulfill his promise as an attacking fullback.

Midfielders:
LM-Peter Kurtz, 25 year old full time proffesional footballer No. 21 Still struggling for form but has improved at the World Cup scoring twice and creating another couple for Kalumba.
LM-James Fish, 19 year old protege No. 9 Still a protege, retained for the first team instead of the U21s so Davies clearly intends to play him.
CM-Ollie Roberts, 24 year old model and dancing champion No. 18 First high profile homosexual in Kalumba. Has moved to Southern Cynocephali to play proffesionally and be open with his sexuality.
CM-Gabriel Danukwe, 20 year old Kahali Spears strong man No. 16 An old fashioned enforcer, Danukwe will have to watch his discipline.
CM -Laurence Kabila, 20 year old Kahali Spears creative midfielder No. 15 Picked up 23 assists this season and is seen as a major part of the future of Kalumban football.
CAM -Ben Cheeter, 23 built like an arab donkey but with the shot of an angry mule No. 27 Didn't impress at either the BoF or the last WC but still integral to the team as he links the midfield to the strikers.
CDM- Godwin Kuli, 19 year old sweeper for Kahali Spears No. 17 Despite the unfashionability of the position this young man has played it with aplomb and will hope to reproduce such form for the national side.
RM-Jameson Slutei, 23 year old and rapid No. 33 Lucky to get in the team, but an injury to Abouto left the position open and Slutei will look to make it his own.
RW-Jermaine Filks, 33 year old great crosser of the ball No. 11 Due to Abouto's excellence has yet to feature but has worked on his left sided play in hope of getting a starting position.

Strikers:
RS- Roland Grezlak, 28 year old, 6 foot strong as an ox No. 8 Came on to score many a crucial goal, will be looking for me involvment this time round.
RS- Anthony Peters, 23 year old, youngster but top scorer last season No. 99 Barely featured but did score our second goal in the BoF final. Will be looking to break into the team on a regular basis.
LS-Piet Von Kruger, 21 year old, second striker for Kahali spears No. 21 An excellent partner for Watusi, if they can recreate their club form they will be a feature for years to come in the Kalumban national team.
CF- Peterson Watusi, 17 year old, 20 goal hero for Kahali Spears No. 10 His goals have won him the place of veteran Kevin Davis, it is hoped the pressure won't overwhelm the young man.
CF- Craig Garden, 28 year old, reliable but not much skill No. 93 Another non-starter and like Malone will struggle to record a further cap to his collection of seven.

Licentian National Football Team

Coming out of Buyan and the Royal Barangay with a fourth placed finish at the Campionato Esportiva was a good start for Gethin Ramsey, the Sideburnese manager who had previously won the tournament twice with his home nation. Now, he’ll be taking the Licentian Isles onto the World Cup, where the Cyan-and-Gold fanbase will be expecting qualification for the Finals at the very least. However, with Legalese and the Free Republics running an almost undecipherable qualifying system for the 68th edition of the world’s biggest football competition, that may be easier said than done.

Head Coach - Gethin Ramsey (New Sideburn):
The “terror-fuelled” management style of Gethin Ramsey pushed the Licentian Isles all the way to the semi-finals of the Campionato without a loss after a first-day loss against Ramsey’s personal rivals Brenecia had him raging. There has been a great change in Licentian feelings towards Ramsey being chosen as Joachim Schwartz’s successor. He has gone from being “that cocky Sideburnese bastard” to a greatly respected tactician and motivator in the eyes of many Licentian football fans. He is expected to lead the Cyan-and-Gold to the World Cup without any issues.

Squad:

Goalkeepers:

1 - Shay Jamieson - 27 years - Dinamo Esca (MYT)
12 - Russell Miller - 26 years - Treason (NSB)
13 - Nathan Hunter - 25 years - Abingdon Celtic

No changes in the goalkeeping corps ahead of the Licentian Isles’ qualifying campaign; former Carrington keeper Shay Jamieson, the Sideburnese-based Russ Miller, and Celtic stalwart Nathan Hunter. In all honesty, you would be more surprised if one of these men wasn’t travelling with the Cyan-and-Gold.

Full Backs:

2 - Sam White - 25 years - Real Ile Perrot (SIC)
3 - Donald McLauchlan - 25 years - Matthew City Rangers (NSI)
14 - Max Kennedy - 21 years - Glenmount Town

Toby Bishop’s retirement from international football wasn’t all that surprising, but the timing was; many were expecting him to wait for one more World Cup. He’ll be replaced by Sam White, the Abingdon right back who has recently made a move to Sicoutimont, while Max Kennedy, who impressed with Glenmount this season, will have to wait another couple of years,

Centre Backs:

4 - Sam Hill - 29 years - Surtsey Island Gulls (PIS)
5 - Dennis Munro - 28 years - Bastion (EUR)
15 - Arron Stewart - 26 years - Sabrefell Athletic (NSB)
16 - Grant Ferguson - 28 years - SC Montfort

Hill and Munro are easily the best centre-half pairing in Esportiva, and possibly in the world; two of the strongest players, doing the Isles proud in two of the world’s strongest leagues. The Licentian defense is backed up by Arron Stewart and Grant Ferguson, who are solid players, but unlikely to even get a look-in with Hill and Munro holding the team together at the back.

Holding Midfielders:

8 - Grant Torin - 28 years - Munnerput TU (EAR)
17 - Patrick Maclean - 21 years - Highmoor Academical

Grant Torin took over from the legendary Nate Parkinson at the Campionato, and did incredibly well for the Licentians, immediately adopting Parkinson’s playmaker role and making it his own. Patrick Maclean is yet to start a game for the national team, but the Highmoor player’s performances for his club have earned him some interest from foreign clubs.

Centre Midfielders:

6 - Ruaraidh Donaldson - 35 years - Abingdon Celtic - C
10 - Josh Brown - 29 years - Abingdon Celtic
18 - Magnus Graham - 27 years - Dartmouth City (GMU)
19 - Niek Crooijmans - 21 years - Delare Minon (YTT)

The Lion of Abingdon will be pulling on the captain’s armband once again for this World Cup, partnered by his Celtic teammate Josh Brown once again. Magnus Graham will keep his place in the World Cup squad, unlike Joey Thompson, who is dropped in favour of the first Dutch-descended player to play for the national team, Niek Crooijmans.

Attacking Midfielders:

7 - Aran Miller - 22 years - 1896 Ebor (MYT)
20 - Ruben Munro - 20 years - Slateport Bulls (VLD)
21 - Stewart Milne - 21 years - Metropolis Alligators (VLD)

Despite the controversy surrounding Aran Miller and Ruben Munro at the last World Cup, both men are in Gethin Ramsay’s squad for this tournament. Munro has been exiled from Metropolis by their new manager, Joachim Schwartz, because of the history between the two. Stewart Milne, Munro’s replacement for the Alligators, has been called up despite carrying an injury that will keep him out of most of this campaign.

Centre Forwards:

9 - Danny Leighton - 26 years - Issington (APX)
11 - Fraser Docherty - 22 years - Neuville Scythers (NSI)
22 - Peter Oliver - 29 years - Sabrefell Moths (NSB)
23 - Cameron McCaleb - 20 years - Gaelic Club

Danny Leighton and Fraser Docherty will reprise their roles as the two main strikers for the Isles going into the World Cup, after both men impressed at the Campionato. Peter Oliver, with a reputation as the hardest striker in the Isles, has been brought in to replace Roddy Dickson, while Cameron McCaleb has been kept on for his first World Cup campaign.

Formation - 4-4-2 Diamond (Skill Modifier - +1):
With Gethin Ramsey taking over the Cyan-and-Gold, he will be using a new twist on the classic 4-4-2 that he employed with New Sideburn. The standard wingers have been replaced by a holding and an attacking midfielder, to make the formation seem a lot more Licentian, although there is no place for the traditional lone striker used by Licentian teams.

Home Stadiums:
Unusually, the RFALI (Royal Football Association of the Licentian Isles) have decided that multiple stadiums will be used for this qualification campaign. One stadium from each parish has been selected to host games, and they are all the most equipped in their area. However, most Licentian stadiums equipped for international matches (in fact, all of them apart from LTI Stadium) have some areas of terracing or standing areas, some of which may be allocated to travelling supporters. If you are interested in the specific allocation your nation will receive, and the seated-standing split, please contact the RFALI (OOC - me, by TG).

LTI Stadium:
Location - Montfort, Montfort Parish
Capacity - 75,000 (all seated)
Home Side - Montfort Wanderers, traditional home of the Licentian Isles National Football Team
Games Hosting - Eura (MD9)

Gardiner-Stewart Stadium:
Location - Abingdon, Abingdon Parish
Capacity - 60,000 (48,000 seated)
Home Side - Abingdon Celtic
Games Hosting - San Jose Guayabal (MD4), Nova Anglicana (MD12)

Barton Software Arena:
Location - Colesham, Colesham Parish
Capacity - 47,000 capacity (42,000 seated)
Home Team - Colesham Athletic
Games Hosting - Gloriax (MD6), The Holy Forden Church (MD14)

St Bart’s Oval:
Location - St Bart’s, St Bart’s Parish
Capacity - 45,500 (23,000 seated)
Home Team - St Bart’s United
Games Hosting - Blackclyffe (MD1), The Vilkings (MD3)

For details on how to get to the Licentian Isles, how to get around once you are here, or general enquiries about the parish your team will be hosted, or facilities at each ground, please contact the RFALI (OOC - again, me, by TG).

Visitors to the Licentian Isles for World Cup qualifying matches should note that there are a growing number of football hooligans, known on the Isles as “casuals”, who plan to disrupt and possibly attack fans travelling to the Licentian Isles. Travelling supporters are advised to wear national team colours wherever possible (as casuals will not attack fans wearing colours without provocation), and avoid areas of the Isles populated by violent casual groups, along with trying to avoid these groups at matches. Most casual groups will be easily identifiable by banners they carry or songs they sing. Groups to avoid (with associated club and parish) include:

Jolly Roger (Garton Bay Pirates, Montfort Parish)
Capital City Squad (Montfort North End, Montfort Parish)
Real Celts (Gaelic Club, Abingdon Parish)
Colliery Casual Crew (Colesham Rovers, Colesham Parish)
Farnworth Stanley Boys (AFC Farnworth, Colesham Parish)
Licentian Border Squad (St Thomas’ Cove, St Bart’s Parish)

Opposing nations should also note that some casual groups may travel in force with the Licentian national team during this World Cup. Not all are violent, but most will carry flares and large banners. If your nation bans this kind of behaviour, please make the RFALI aware so that we can warn fans travelling to your nation in advance.

For any more information on Licentian casuals, please contact the RFALI (OOC - you know the drill).

Mytanar National Team.

Image

Manager - Danek Badjkev - 47 - Mytannion.
Well, Marius Sadowsky saw the national team to a Cup of Harmony victory and perhaps most importantly a Copa Rushmori triumph. Badjkev left a lot behind to have a go at managing the national team, but he's come a long way since he was smashing the goals in for various Mytanar sides and his successes with Liria Prizren, both domestically and in UICA competitions have proven that he is a top class manager. Now though, he can't rely on money to buy some decent talent in or the prodigiously talented Miki Sipilainen to put goals in when needed. He now has to rely on the academies and the youth systems we have in place and everybody hopes he can shift his good management across to the national side. He's a punt, with no national team experience before (especially as Sergyei Arefev declared interest in the job), but he's clearly a good manager. He just needs to show that now.

Starting XI.
#1 - GK - Stefan Wallinaar - 29 - Liria Prizren - 43 caps.
With the lack of an experienced goalkeeper following the retirement from international football of Demy de Zooijt, Stefan Wallinaar is the nearest to an experienced goalkeeper that the national team has. Wallinaar is a two-time Globe Cup winner with club side Liria Prizren and his acrobatic performances between the sticks for them have finally earned him the starting gig here. He's arguably still the best goalkeeper in Mytannion, despite some spirited challenges from those behind him, Kadyrov and Schindler.

#2 - DL - Lev Repin - 35 - FC Ararat Severyan - 152 caps, 13 goals - Captain.
One of the most reliable defenders you will ever meet, he doesn't make many mistakes and this is evidenced by the amount of appearances he has made for the international side and the enormous number he has made for his club team too. He's tough and no-nonsense, getting the job done and giving his all for the team. He has top fitness levels and still shows a desire to bomb on down the wing and provide another option going forward with his pinpoint crossing. He's always a danger from set pieces because of this ability, both when crossing and shooting. He's still keeping Rob Fridrich out of a place in the national side and he could do so until the end of the younger man's career, if he keeps going at the rate he is doing.

#3 - DC - Narek Berozhserkovsky - 30 - Dinamo Esca - 102 caps, 6 goals.
Berozhserkovsky has to be considered one of the better centre backs in the world right now, in the prime of his career and still improving on his top class performances that have been made consistently for years. Questions surrounding a possible move away from Dinamo have been cooled dramatically recently although there is always the rumour in the air that he may fancy a move to the Polar Islandstates. He certainly has the ability to ply his trade outside the Mytanar Top League, his physical attributes combining well with exceptional tactical awareness, aerial ability and tackling. Could be given the captain's armband once Repin retires.

#4 - DC - Tim Dalgaard - 27 - Atletik Thessia - 49 caps, 1 goal.
Dalgaard has developed brilliantly over the years. He's now one of the top players in Mytannion and therefore the world too and he will combine beautifully with Narek Berozhserkovsky in the national team set-up to make a top class defensive partnership that any national team will find difficult to breakdown. Dalgaard is a tall centre back, again showing top level tactical awareness and good anticipation so he can read the game and work out where the ball will be. He breaks the play up and is one of the new breed of ball-playing centre backs, his passing is good and he can set-up play right from the back, often playing diagonal balls to the wing players in order to get the ball forward quickly, working well with the tactic employed by this side. He has now moved on from Arka Snezhnaya, a big move to die Stadtbewohner perhaps being what he needs to revitalise his career a little.

#5 - DR - Dennis Adkvissen - 34 - SK Aasiaat Harbour (Polar Islandstates) - 164 caps, 7 goals.
Already a legend in terms of Mytanar football and he still has a good couple of World Cups in him, he could easily surpass the record total for national team appearances set by the legendary Robin Hjik. Adkvissen is a good defensively. He deals with any attacking threat from the opponent quite solidly, his tackling is good and he uses his pace to good effect to keep up with quick wingers. He doesn't offer too much going forwards - though his crosses from deep are effective and he's decent from set pieces too - his footballing intelligence is one of the best and he anticipates the play well. His physical attributes are good too, being tall and strong. He's the second most capped player in Mytanar footballing history and is now only 26 off the all-time record, it's not something he's bothered about though as he just wants to keep putting in the performances that have cemented his position as a Mytanar footballing legend and a legend for his club side too.

#6 - DMC - Tikhon Voronin - 31 - Ituraitz FC (Astograth) - 137 caps, 10 goals.
He's regained his starting spot for the national team following a good season for Liria Prizren which also rewarded him with a change of scenery and a move to Ituraitz FC of Astograth. He's a tough tackling, no nonsense player who - as he's got older - has learnt to play a bit as well. He's always had a bit of a poor disciplinary record, picking up yellow cards and red cards for fun, but he's improved on that too. He's the sort of player that just keeps the game ticking over, breaking up the play and moving the ball on but he's added a knack for a killer pass recently and it's an attribute which will be invaluable for the national team now.

#7 - DMC - Dobroslav Stojanovic - 31 - Atletik Thessia - 142 caps, 40 goals.
Stojanovic has transitioned from a dynamic forward-thinking midfielder to an experienced, creative and most importantly, solid leader on the field. One of the strong contenders for the captaincy when Repin eventually hangs up his boots. He doesn't put a foot wrong in the centre of the park and keeps things ticking over, making all the right decisions and then when a chance presents itself - whether it be in providing an assist or scoring a goal - he is lethal and effective. Stojanovic is a top player and in the prime of his career, expect a big World Cup cycle from him and a few goals too. He's the more offensive of the pairing that shield the defence and will often be found almost alongside the attacking midfielder in the formation.

#8 - AML/AMC - Stanislav Navratil - 28 - Directus (Eura) - 32 caps, 5 goals.
His lack of caps may make him appear inexperienced but that doesn't show the amount of games he has played both in Mytannion and over in Eura. He's versatile too, being able to play on the wide left or right, or through the middle and even in a more withdrawn role. His passing is excellent, he gets involved in the assist charts regularly in the Euran league and chips in with a few goals too. Sadowsky will be hoping for both to be brought into this side, especially with the absence of Ismet van Huijgevoort now. Navratil will be playing primarily off the left, but will be given licence to roam a little.

#9 - AMC/ST - Mikkel Kohlemainen - 24 - FC Axel Heiburg (Polar Islandstates) - 70 caps, 31 goals.
He has an excellent eye for goals, is extremely pacy and always wants to be taking players on. His interplay with his team mates is what makes him most lethal however and when him, van Huijgevoort, Iivari Kaitanen and Kristian Haugen get going, it will be near unstoppable. Stop Kohlemainen, you could be stopping Mytannion. His team mates and manager may not be too happy with him given the way he engineered a move away from Arka Snezhnaya this summer. Sadowsky especially was rumoured to be unimpressed by his antics and did give some thought to perhaps replacing him with Ildar Patrelyak for the Copa Rushmori, Kohlemainen is a great player, but players need to be able to work together to win games.

#10 - AMR - Iivari Kaitanen - 28 - Urbizania Wanderers (Astograth) - 144 caps, 51 goals.
The poacher has moved out to the right-wing to utilise his speed and interplay. He'll play in an advance role though and will get involved with most of the attacks going down the left, which will allow him to drift inside and add another man in the box. He is a classic goal poacher though and he'll be extremely dangerous in that part of the game. His crossing should be useful too, he loves to hit a low cross and any good forward will take that. Kaitanen will roam a fair bit, moving inside and forward and will use his clinical finishing to the best of its ability when possible too. His speed will be crucial in counter attacks - where he will be most useful. His movement and good heading ability for a 5'9 forward will also be important.

#11 - ST - Kristian Haugen - 26 - Energia-Yaderny Miago - 62 caps, 39 goals.
A real complete forward these days, Haugen captains his club side and delivered on promises he made last year by taking them to the league title. He is quite simply a natural born goalscorer, whichever way you look at it, that's what he does best and he has a proven record of doing it time and time again, for both club and country. He can score from anywhere, his aerial ability and finishing being equally clinical. He doesn't care how he scores either with a determination meaning he will bully defenders and storm past them with equal contempt. He's not an overly physical forward, but he can be if necessary, he can mix it with the best.

Substitutes.
#12 - GK - Rizvan Kadyrov - 24 - South Factory (Astograth) - 7 caps.
Kadyrov will be a future national team goalkeeper, no doubting that. His performances at Lermendia impressed many and now he's at South Factory and impressed there too. He's a reliable, no-nonsense 'keeper. He doesn't bother with acrobatics or 'camera saves', he just gets the job done and makes the saves that are needed. His reflexes allow him to stop shots from close range as well as having the technical ability as a goalkeeper to prevent those from further out too.

#13 - DL - Rob Fridrich - 30 - Atletik Thessia - 42 caps, 2 goals.
He's a solid player who will offer a sturdy and reliable replacement. He's good going forward too, offering a more attacking option at the back if there is any transition needed. He's becoming a top quality player and has helped Atletik no end both domestically and when playing in UICA competitions around the multiverse. He'll be the eventual replacement to Lev Repin, we'd imagine, although he should carry on for a few more years. Fridrich is good defensively too and has definitely improved that side of his game.

#14 - DC - Benjamin Lautner - 24 - Energia-Yaderny Miago - 9 caps.
He's big and hard and nasty and that is fairly commonplace among Mytanar defenders but Lautner is set apart by the fact that he can actually tackle without breaking somebody's leg. He's exceptional in the air and the youth system at Miago will have worked hard in ensuring his tactical awareness and reading of the game is up to scratch. He'll be getting regular substitute appearances in order to get him up to the world class level, but give him a couple of years (and the whole Energia-Yaderny Miago team, in fact), and he'll be right up there and they should be challenging for UICA titles.

#15 - DMC/MC - Filip Wachsmuth - 22 - Energia-Yaderny Miago - 12 caps, 3 goals.
Wachsmuth is yet another Miago player in the squad. One position where we have a wealth of talent across the country is central midfield and though Wachsmuth may be relied on to play a more deep-lying role than what he is used to he'll still be excellent, that much is known. His passing is excellent and he's a real deep-lying playmaker. He's calm when on the ball and makes good decisions in the middle of the park, mentally, he's probably the best player ever produced. He's intelligent on the field, is concentrated on every minute of the game and really creates chances for any team he plays for.

#16 - MC - Yuri Matveyev - 24 - Liria Prizren - 30 caps, 8 goals.
Matveyev has been talked about since he was aged 16 and he's been a real top talent ever since breaking into the Di Bradini Cup squad a couple of cycles ago, despite being one of the youngest players in that team, he captained it. Many would have expected him to be in the starting eleven for the national team by now, but he's had a bit of a slow spell ever since Liria Prizren won their second Globe Cup, the form of his club side seeming to rub off on him as well. He's back now though and his flair and creativity should be on show for all to see once again. He's definitely back in form, has his eye for a killer ball back and his dynamic playing style seems to have made a return.

#17 - AML - Thorkil Bechinie von Lazan - 18 - CDSA Decraa - 5 caps, 1 goal.
And here is one of the few surprise inclusions in the squad for the Copa. Bechinie von Lazan is 17, one of the youngest picks since Robin Hjik himself (if not the youngest, but the FSM is notoriously poor at keeping that sort of record). He's a flying winger, often found dribbling past a defender or whipping a dangerous ball into the eighteen-yard box. He's real old school, he likes to hug the touchline, get to the byline and deliver a good cross. However, he's not completely one-dimensional. He's ever so good at cutting inside and getting a good shot off, a knack which meant he contributed regularly with goals for Pretia Prizren and that form gained him a move to CDSA Decraa. Sadowsky's a big fan, it remains to be seen if that is justified.

#18 - ST - Rasmus Sovak - 24 - Olympic Thessia - 4 caps, 3 goals.
Sovak was one of the surprise call-ups for the Copa Rushmori and to be fair to the man, he definitely shouldn't have been. He's actually very similar to Haugen, a real complete forward, although he lacks some of the more physical attributes of his fellow striker. Sovak is pacy, clinical when shooting and actually quite good in the air. He's of average height and it is sometimes surprising when you see him rising above defenders or getting ahead of someone to nod home, but he's good at it and he has a real knack of being in the right place at the right time to nab a goal. A good asset to this team.

Reserves.
#19 - GK - Kevin Schindler - 23 - Atletik Thessia - 5 caps.
He's one of the few goalkeepers that could be considered a real quality player in Mytannion. It's one position that the nation has a real deficiency in. Schindler needs some more games before being considered truly top level though and will probably never be more than a back-up for the national side. But even so, he has enough quality to fill that particular role.

#20 - DC - Agil Ojdanic - 26 - 1896 Ebor - 3 caps.
Ojdanic has truly had a meteoric rise through Mytanar football. Only two years ago was he clogging around the muddy pitches of Mytanar Second Division football, now he has won the Champions' Cup, the Mytanar Top League and has earned a call-up to the Mytanar national side. Ojdanic is a good centre back, old-fashioned and hardened by years of playing in the lower leagues. He is strong in the tackle and good in the air, a real all-round talent. He's not so good with the ball at his feet, but thankfully he'll be partnered with players who can help him out with that.

#21 - DR - Kevin Fuhrmann - 24 - Energia-Yaderny Miago - 9 caps.
Reliable is a word often used to describe Mytanar footballers. They're fairly consistent and they normally get the job done. Fuhrmann is another player that continues this trend. He's part of that Energia-Yaderny Miago side that won the Top League title this season. He's a more attacking option than we have probably ever had before at full back and is often seen marauding up and down the wing for E-Y Miago. He'll do that for the national side if necessary and will whip a few dangerous crosses in every time he plays. He's not too shabby defensively either, but definitely needs work on the aerial side of his game.

#22 - DR/DMC/MC - Marat Averyanov - 25 - Atletik Thessia - 13 caps, 3 goals.
He was originally called-up due to his versatility, but over the years he has developed into a top class player because of his actual qualities. He plays fair, but he plays tough and many have come up against him and picked up a war wound or two. He's a good passer of the ball and boasts a very powerful shot, which, whilst tough to deal with, isn't always that accurate. He is reminiscent of Musa Kiril, not just because of his versatility, but because he was one of few players to be called-up from a middling squad (Litala '93), Averyanov is one of few that that has happened to.

#23 - AMC - Omet Drazaal - 22 - Energia-Yaderny Miago - 17 caps, 3 goals.
A creative midfielder, boasting good interplay, he picks up the ball and can create something when he has it at his feet. He's a good dribbler of the ball too and his close control makes him a menace for defenders to deal with. He can pop up with a goal or two every so often as well, as shown with his one goal every two games for the national team (granted only in the four games he has played so far). He's a good talent and his silky skills are a good change to what we currently have in the side. He's not a typical Mytanar player and does really bring something a little different to the table.

#24 - ST - Ildar Patrelyak - 26 - Directus (Eura) - 22 caps, 11 goals.
The former Atletik player worked well with Marius Sadowsky when he was at the club, but couldn't work with Kislasson who came after him. His bad boy image within Mytanar football not suiting Kislasson's new vision for the club, but Directus of the FSSO were happy to snap him up and his relationship with fellow Mytanar Navratil has given him a new lease of life as his goalscoring record has continued on from where it left off for Atletik Thessia before he was forced out from die Stadtbewohner. He's a strong forward, quick and good at holding the ball up, but is often lazy. Has the ability to create a goal from nothing or get sent off. His mood usually is what it depends on. He does seem to be willing to give a bit more for the cause with the national team and if he teams up with club mate Navratil and former manager (and confidant), Sadowsky to good effect, he could be tough to play against.

#25 - ST - Juha Pentanen - 27 - Sparta Torspeda (Buyan) - 4 caps, 1 goal.
Pentanen offers something different really. He's a true goal poacher, only truly effective around the six yard box - sometimes even the penalty spot! But no seriously, Sadowsky does like using some unfancied players and Pentanen is definitely one of them. He's a true journeyman but he seems to have found his feet in Buyan and he's a regular feature in the top goalscorer charts there. He'll be brought on late in games to add a weapon who can act on anything put in the area. He's proven he can score in Buyan, even if he had a chequered past in Mytannion, Badjkev has maintained faith in the players Sadowsky picked before him. Whether that will work or not we don't know, but if Badjkev has found faith in them we have to hope for the best.

The fans are renowned for being violent, hooliganism is a huge, huge problem in Mytannion and this continues when their fans follow the national team overseas. Fans will cause trouble and light up flares, set off fireworks and carry massive flags with them. The ultras scene is quite vibrant in Mytannion too, often the club team's fans will band together to create 2-3 impressive choreographies per qualifying campaign.

Manager: Ahmed Nazar
Current squad North Arabia 23 man squad

# Pos. Player
1 GK Abdel Rahman. The No. 1 Gk in the Nation he is very experienced has a very low goal conceding tally
12 GK Khaled Eisa One of the top keepers in the Premiership, He has been applauded by many football pundits for his command of the gk area.
13 GK Sharif Rami A very talented keeper, Sharif has made many crucial saves but is also heavily criticized for being mistake prone in important matches.
2 DF Hisham Izz al Din a pacy wingback with a rocket left foot that has put in many of the most beautiful crosses ever seen.
3 DF Osama Al-Habsi Another pacy wingback who is very strong going in. Although not the tallest footballer you have seen he is very successful in the air and wins most aerial duels.
4 DF Bashar Mubarak A strong centre back Bashar is very skilled in 1 on 1 situations but has been ridiculed by the press because of his slow pace.
5 DF Yaseen Hawwa A towering figure in the back 4, Yaseen has a deadly combination of pace and tackling a former Defensive Midfielder and occasional fullback Hawwa is knows to be comfortable on the ball especially for a centre back.
6 MF Mohamed Aboutrika The Captain of the team, although he may be the oldest Aboutrika is known has the best player to ever in North Arabia. This is his last international competition but Aboutrika will be sure to make a lasting impact. IN his younger days he was a very skilled dribbler. Age has slowed him down but in recent years he has developed a reputation for being a set piece specialist. Aboutrika also has scored some of the greatest long shots in football history.
8 MF Haitham Mohammad Seen as the protégé of Aboutrika, Haitham Mohammed has been dubbed el ilusionista. Mohammed is a player known for his passing, dribbling, vision and movement. Haitham relies on exceptional creative passing, intuition and inventiveness to control the midfield and dictate the ebb and flow of play. 10 MF Hussein Abdel Rahim His short, strong legs allow him to excel in short bursts of acceleration and his quick feet allow him to keep control of the ball when dribbling at speed. His former Al-Hilal manager, Pep Guardiola, once stated: "Hussein is the only player that runs faster with the ball than he does without it. Abdel Rahim is dominantly a left footed player. With the outside of his left foot, he usually begins dribbling runs, whilst he uses the inside of his foot to finish and provide passes and assists to team mates.
Abdel Rahim often undertakes individual dribbling runs towards goal, in particular during counterattacks, usually starting from the halfway line, or the right side of the pitch, although he has also been described as a versatile team player, with good vision, known for his passing and his creative combinations, in particular with team mates Aboutrika and Mohammed. He is also an accurate set piece and penalty kick taker. Many pundits, coaches, players, and fans have stated that they believe Abdel Rahim to currently be the greatest player in the world. He has been nicknamed The Arabian Messi by many people.
Tactically, Abdel Rahim plays a free attacking and occasionally a playmaking role, known for his finishing, pace, dribbling, balance, positioning, vision and passing ability. He is comfortable attacking on either wing or through the centre of the pitch. He began his career as a left-winger and forward, but was later moved onto the right wing by former manager Frank Rijkaard, who noticed that from this position, Abdel Rahim could cut through the defense into the middle of the pitch more easily, allowing him to curl shots on goal with his left foot, rather than predominantly crossing balls for team mates. He has more recently played in a false 9 role under Guardiola. This role is characterized by Abdel Rahim’s tendency to seemingly be playing as a centre forward, or as a lone striker, although he will often run back into deep positions drawing defenders with him, creating space for wingers, other forwards, and attacking midfielders to make runs, allowing him to provide them with assists or giving him space to begin dribbling runs, score goals or create attacking plays. With the National team, Abdel Rahim usually plays anywhere along the front line. He began as a forward or winger but has also played in a deeper role, in particular under Nazar, in more of an attacking midfield and playmaking role.
14 MF Mosaab Al-Zain One of the reasons cited for Al Zain's impressive play up front is his ability to calmly score from one-on-ones. This, combined with his exceptional pace, means that he can get in behind defenders regularly enough to score. When up front, Mossab is occasionally known to move out wide to the left wing position, something which enables him to contribute heavily in assists: between 2007 -2011 the striker managed almost 50 assists in total and this was attributed to his unselfish play and creativity. Henry would also drift offside to fool the defense then run back onside before the ball is played and beat the offside trap, although he never provided Zamalek a distinct aerial threat. Given his versatility in being able to operate as both a winger and a striker, the North Arabian is not a prototypical "out-and-out striker", but he has emerged consistently as one of Football’s most prolific strikers. In set pieces, Al Zain is usually the first-choice penalty and free kick taker for Zamalek, having scored regularly from those positions.
16 MF Haroun Isa Functioning mostly as a playmaker and renowned for his passing range, he was described as the general of Zamalek's first team, bringing vision, creativity, and an innate understanding of timing and space to Zamalek's intricate passing game, displaying maturity that belied his age. He was the main creative force when he was at Zamalek, as exemplified by his 16 assists in all competitions in the 2006–07 season. Between 2006–07 and 2010–11, Isa created the most chances in the top-division leagues of England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France.
At Al-Hilal, Isa continued to play a prominent midfield, attacking and playmaking role, similar to his positions in the North Arabia National Team and also at Zamalek. He effortlessly fit into Pep Guardiola's 4-3-3 formation, participating in the midfield's trademark "tiki-taka" patient, attacking, build-up style of play, also associated with the North Arabia National Squad under Bakr Abdul Qadir and Ahmed Nazr. Isa was used in a variety of different roles under Guardiola, scoring several goals and providing many assists. Fàbregas was often employed as a winger, or even as a forward under Guardiola.
24 MF Tariq Suliman He operates primarily as a midfielder and is comfortable at playing both in attack and defense. Tariq was described by his former club Al Ahly as a "powerful, skilful, and creative" player who has "an eye for goal and a penchant for the spectacular".
21 MF Ibrahim Mustafa
7 FW Saladin Saladin plays an attacking role, most often playing as either a striker or as a winger, and is known for his finishing, pace, dribbling, positioning and his passing, crossing, free kick ability. He is able to play on either wing as well through the center of the pitch, making him a very versatile attacker.
Tactically, Saladin plays a powerful attacking role, often drifting from the left wing into the centre when moving off the ball. Saladin is known to be mentally sharp, with good vision, predicting certain plays, and also possesses very good reactions, balance and agility. Although right footed, he is also able to control the ball and cross and finish well with his left foot.
Saladin is known for his pace, skill, control and dribbling ability, as well as his flair in beating players during one on one situations. He is able to finish well both inside the area and from distance. He is also an accurate set piece and penalty kick specialist. Uniquely, his height, strength, jumping ability and heading technique have given him an edge in winning aerial challenges for balls, with the majority of his goals often being headers.
9 FW Khalaf Mahmoud
11 FW Hosni El-Sayyid. El-Sayyid is regarded as being one of the most skillful players of his generation. Sky Arabia has described him as being "skillful by nature, his tricks are unparalleled and he is wonderful with the ball at his feet. One of the coolest players in pressure situations" and a "fast, brash, skilful, tricky, an uninhibited playmaker" who provides "a mix of goals, assists, skills and a large repertoire of crafty moves. Former North Arabia midfielder, Saif al Din Ubaydullah, has said of him: "There are not many players who can offer goal scoring passes like he can. He is just marvelous. He is a rare case of an assist man who can provide the ball from anywhere. He is also one of the players who has perfected the "Elastico" move.
19 FW Ramey Dawoud Ramey primarily plays as either a forward, winger or occasionally as an attacking midfielder and has been described as "a true phenomenon". He often plays as a striker for both club and country in the team's 4–3–3 formation and drifting occasionally onto the flanks due to his energetic pace and playmaking skills. His dribbling skills, technical and playmaking ability are reminiscent of compatriot Hosni El Sayyid. Ramey’s common exemplary traits are his creativity, passing, clinical finishing, exceptional dribbling and technical ability, being described as both "electric" and "explosive". He commented on his attributes saying: "I'm always trying to perfect everything – dribbling, shooting, headers and control. You can always improve". Player Roles

The Karditan Blue Barons

[Cultural note: Population is 55% Human, 30% intelligent pony (split evenly among earth, unicorn, and pegasus), and 15% etc (intelligent cows, pigs, goats, zebras, llamas, and the like). All races are equal in the eyes of the law.]

[Historical Note: Soccer was illegal pre-WC66, and the team that competed from WC59-65 did so illegally. A civil war occurred during WC66 that had many causes, but was sparked when a mad politician seized power and cracked down on soccer, which had risen to a level of 'intellectual anti-government' pursuit and thus included many major businessmen. As a pseudo-anarcho-capitalist state, this caused quite a stir, and as the crackdown extended to persecuting wide swaths of citizens for their species (acting on ages-old discrimination against those neither human nor pony in nature), citizen militias and private military contractors rose up and threw the madman out of power. Following was an extended reformation period involving negotiations between what prominent businessmen were left and a highly revered political figure from Karditan's past. Now everything is fine and dandy and we're not species-ist anymore; plus soccer is legal! Woo.]

Starting 11 [those with no explicitly stated species are human]

Goalkeeper- Clara Vandergaard. A supermodel-turned-sportswoman, Clara's natural height and limberness made her a natural in the net. It's also a truefact that it's much harder to take a shot with a nosebleed. The few long-time fans of Karditani football that are out there eagerly await to see if this beauty can keep the legendary Karditani defense strong and keep her sheet clean.

Left Back- Xavier Helm. A man oddly obsessed with the middle ages, he likes to hunt. With a bow, and sometimes a crossbow. And a longsword. Occasionally a trebuchet. Oh, and in full plate armor. He mostly goes after deer, but it's not odd for him to bag the occasional mountain lion or bear. He does play in his suit of armor, which slows him down (but not as much as might be expected--he's been training in that armor for a long time) but makes him much more intimidating.

Center Back- Porfirio Mendoza. The commissioner of the Karditani Baseball League, Porfirio is a true sportsman who can appreciate any sport. He was the first major public advocate of the legalization of soccer after the government was reformed, greatly helping the effort to bring the good game to the masses. He's also a brilliant strategist, heading up one of the historically best defenses in the world.

Center Back- Dust Pan. [Unicorn] Having spent most of his early life as a property manager (glorified janitor), the recent 'revolution' has allowed Dust Pan to follow his true dreams--becoming a professional soccer player. He's extremely quick, and knows how to break up a play.

Right Back- Red Trotski. [Earth Pony] An infamous public speaker hailing from Moscolt. Hated pretty much universally for his vocal support of Communism, but there's not really anything anyone can do about that. Karditani free speech laws are pretty lenient. Has been known to make foals cry.

Defensive Midfielder- Havr Milosivek. A freelancer who spends most of his time roaming the streets of Moscolt, Havr is a generally amiable guy who isn't afraid to smash a few shins if you push his buttons the wrong way. If his Russian accent gets thick enough that you can barely understand what he's saying, you should probably stay away from him; but that doesn't happen too often. Will sometimes have to leave the pitch temporarily to respond to calls from his cousin Roman.

Midfielder- Toby Derringer. Professional skateboarder, amateur punk rocker, part-time midfielder. Toby is what one might call 'rad'. He's a cool cat who doesn't take the business from nobody, and won't pass up the chance to bring up scientific proof that he is awesomer than you are. A bit confrontational, and more than a bit of a showoff, a game where he doesn't start something is a rarity.

Midfielder- Primrose Evergreen. [Pegasus] A gardener by trade and by nature, Primrose is the pinnacle of the good sportsmare. She's very giving with the ball [only to her teammates, of course], and acts as the team's physio, having spent time in nursing school before fully devoting herself to nursing nature. She's not the fastest mare out there, and not that good of a shot, but is excellent at passing and has a habit of being in the right place at the right time.

Forward Midfielder- Sweet Swing. [Earth Pony] The daughter of famous Karditani golfer Tyre McIron, Sweet has been making a name for herself as one of the best midfielders on a mediocre team in the world over the past decade. She's a very dynamic player, being able to fulfill most roles whenever the situation calls for it, and has a tendency to be extremely clutch. Also married to former keeper and current manager, Emanuel Portico.

Forward- Zevaya. [Zebra] The first Zebra to ever be elected to political office in Karditan, there's no doubt her political clout helped get her a spot on the team. That said, a little corruption isn't that bad, as she's pretty good at this sportball business. Not too knowledgeable about the strategies, or even the rules, for that matter, but she does know that the ball needs to go in the net, and is decent at getting it there.

Forward- Xi Mørátüabáterían. Rumored to be the lovechild of a tourist from 95x and a Farf immigrant, little is known of Xi's actual lineage, but one thing is for sure--the kid can kick a ball really well. Given a simple upbringing in a Nozaman orphanage, he was introduced to the game of soccer--or futbol, as they call it down there--at an early age, as the orphanage couldn't afford baseball or gridiron equipment. Years of running around due to a lack of anything better to do has given Xi fantastic agility and ball control skills, but the lack of any sort of professionalism in pre-'revolution' Karditan means he still has a lot to learn about playing on a team, and playing against high-caliber players.

Manager- Emanuel Portico. Without a doubt the face of Karditani soccer, Emanuel led the Robber Baron (the pre-WC66 Karditani team) to their peak in WC63, their first (and so far only) World Cup Qualification, from between the posts. He allowed the second-lowest amount of goals in all the qualifiers--only beaten out by the super-defensive Taeshani team. He's starting to get on in age, though, and decided it best to hand off his old spot to a fresher face. Fortunately, with their last manager deported back to Bears Armed, the Barons were in need of a new manager. And that's how we got here. He is also happily married to midfielder Sweet Swing.

Substitutes
Amateurs, really. Played some secret soccer back in the prohibition days, but not very often. They'll have to rely on raw athletic talent to get anything done.

IC:
The Greater Vakolicci Haven
VKL

Manager: Roman Rijic, age 46, SC United and Metropolitan
For the first appearance of the Greater Vakolicci haven at a major international sporting competition, there can be no better choice to manage the squad than 4-time copa l'havaerne (cup of the Haven) champion Roman Rijic, of Francian side United and Metropolitan.
Rijic, 46, has won everything their is to win in the GVH and is now looking to extend his medal hawl to the international ene. He will be joined by assistant manager Ruan Cel, also from U&M.
Assistant manager: Ruan Cel, SC United and metropolitan, 42
Coach: Wilhelm Strass, 51, Eastern Fire of Caldonaris
Team doctor: Dr. Jan Van Tropin, 31, unatatched

(note:) Players marked with a * are starters.))
Goalkeeper:
* Mickie Roper, age 37, SC United and Metropolitan

Mickie Roper, described by total sport magazine as 'the ugliest thing ever to set eyes on a football,' (something he takes pride in), never grew certain significant areas of flesh on his face and his arms, leaving him with massive holes and ridges that stand out anywhere he goes. Another thing that stands out, however, is his goal saving ratio: SC U&M let in only 27 goals with him between the sticks last season.

Luc Cole, 20, Eastern Fire of Caldonaris
Born in England, Luc Cole moved to Celeria at age 3, and quickly established himself as one of that provinces greatest footballing tallents. Having established himself firmly as the starting goalkeeper for U&M's archrivals Eastern Fire of Caldonaris, he is hoping to get a few games in the Baptism offire and world cup, if an injury prevents Mickie Roper from continuing.

Hugo Ronk, age 25, Liveron
Not expecting to play, Hugo Ronk has established himself as a very solid choice between the posts, being the only man that has stopped his struggling side Liveron from being relegated.

Right defenders:
* Lisa Kohr, age 23, U&M
Lisa Kohr's explosive pace, glue-like marking ability and peculiar nack for harassing wingers has earned her a starting place in both United and Metropolitan's starting 11, and the national team.
Valentino Mericci, 20, Force Roma
Celari born, Celari bred, and Celari speaking: Mericci, if he plays, is expecting to do his nation proud at both the Baptism of fire and world cup, with the eae at which he tackles and makes opposition players look like children.
Central defenders:
*Joseph Pennard, age 33, London Athletic
The 6 ft 9 rock in the middle of London Athletic, as well as Vakolicci defence is, according to total sport, what creates the best scoring chances from corners in the league.' His excellent ability to win balls in the air proves that the figure of the hulking centre forward can be made to look entirely useless.
*Mohammed Al-zerwa, age 24, Sacro
Sacro: not a name you hear much in Vakolicci football. However, it has been the jumping and powerful pace of this 5 ft 5 pocket rocket that have kept the strugglers in the league this year.
Zoran Kranjic, age 33, Glenra
A celerian name beyond a doubt, the slav has impressed in recent years, despite a number of extremely damaging injuries that have hurt his career.
Clive Spencer, 19, Hilltop Dragons
Hilltop Dragons have relied on the young defender this year, as he has proven time and time again that it is extremely difficult to get anything past him.

Left defenders:
* HRH Laura Mccabe, Princess consort of Celeria, 17, Eastern Fire of Caldonaris
Whatever you want to call Laura Mccabe, be it the best fullback the haven has seen in the last 25 years, or a dirty golddigger who sucks up to the Prince of Celeria (also featured), she won't care. All she cares about, as she said in total sport, is that she allows 'the worlds many inferior nations' what they should be afraid of whenever they atempt to go down her wing.

Paul Scott, 23, Remingur
The Greater Vakolicci Haven is not a nation used to shortages: however a shortage of leftbacks is one of them. We have nothing really very good to say about the Vakolicci second choice, other than he's made it into the team.

Right wingers:
*HRH Blacksen I, of house Domination, blessed of the 16, crown Prince of Celeria, age 17, SC U&M

Blacksen Domination is possibly the est young tallent the Vakolicci have to offer the world. Having 'been playing football all his life,' the young prince is famed by his explosive, blur-like pace and his tricky ability to score goals from an extremely long range.
Celio Garati, 24, Force Roma
Blacksen is backed up by the man he replaced: fellow Celari Garati is keen to show the world that he is still as good as Domination, and he certainly has the credencials to prove it: his 35 goals in his 32 games for the Force show that he is not something to trifle with.

CM:
*Marc Antoine, age 32, Berlin:
Berlin's finest, the defencive-minded midfielder specialises in his ability to clear up counter-attack, and create.
George Forter, age 41, Pimo:
Former captain george Forter may have lost some of his pace, but his technical skills are unmatched in the entire league.
Left wingers:
*Miralim Tardenic, age 33, U&M
A constant rival of Blacksen Domination on the right of the field, Roman Rijic decided to atempt to combine the 2. Blacksen's trademark flare, combined with Tardenic's skill on the ball, makes the pairing a force to be reckoned with.
Roberts Kraker: age 35, London Athletic:
Roberts Kraker is retiring this year, although he knows he can lend a great deal of experience to the team, oth of winning and of losing:

Strikers:
*Demit Cronan, age 26, SC United and Metropolitan:
The enforcer in the pitch and the crowd, as well as his important ability to score from impossible angles makes Demit Cronan an asset the haven cannot do without. As foreign supporters will learn, as U&M's opposition have learnt, a cry of 'Cronan's red and green army' from the crowd is usually accompanied by the drawing of all manner of weapons, and it is time to go. It is also Cronan' job to conduct the riots that are the hallmark of Vakolicci supporters.
*John O'hare, age 24, Eastern Fire of Caldonaris:
51 goals in 45 appearances, John O'hare seems never to miss. A vercitile striker who can fulfill the roles of target man and playmaker, O'Hare has no real holes in his game.
*Henry Liger, age 15, SC U&M
Despite his young age, Henry Liger is quick to capitalise on an opening, and knows how to take advantage of it. Furthermore, him and Blacksen Domination have a clear passing partnership that is thought to be unstopable by many in the profession.
Sarah Court, age 7, Palas:
Sarah Court was recommended by Blacksen Domination after seing her impress at the under-15 world cup. The child striker is keen to prove she can make it on the world professional stage, and promises she won't cry if she gets injured.
Marek Jablinsky, age 32, Moskva:
Moskva's name has fallen from grace somewhat, however Marek Jablinsky is a proven goalscorer, expected to make the name stand out to world fans by the end of the tournament.

ESSENTIAL BACKGROUND:
Ossidiacqua is a nation still blinking into the light of the international community. In what seems like mere years ago for most nations, as a hugely technologically advanced nation called Oasirica, we sent a team to the Baptism of Fire. Meanwhile, here at home, with a terrible disease named la Plaga ravaging the country, the academics and scientists of the nation prepared to put up a time wall around the Central Hospital of Sant'Elia. The was that this time-manipulation would have allowed medics and scientists on the inside to spend months developing a cure or vaccine for la Plaga whilst only days passed outside the time wall, allowing the maximum population to be saved. However, something went wrong somewhere in the depths of the caves under the hospital where the sophisticated machinery was located, and the time wall surrounded the entire nation, cutting off the nation from Rushmore, the Multiverse, and the Baptism of Fire squad. Months passed outside the wall, whilst inside it, la Plaga decimated the native population over several centuries. Only the Djocorangan refugees (invited to Oasirica to shelter from the ongoing civil war in Djocoranga) were immune to the effects of la Plaga, and only they remained untouched. This ensured they became both the primary caregivers and the re-builders of the nation. There had been very little integration between these Djocorangan refugees and the native Oasiricans, meaning that today the black faces of us Acquans are almost entirely genetically different to that of our spiritual Oasirican forefathers.

The time wall eventually dissipated after a stretch of 270 years that has since come to be called the Pause Time, revealing the evolved nation of Ossidiacqua - obsidian water - to the world for the first time. It is a much changed place - the weather, land, and cities have all changed, and the distrust of the technology that created these problems for us is seen in Magisterium policy today. You are encouraged to visit our Museum of the Pause Time for more information on this even, where you can read the series of letters written during Oasirica's BoF, as they provide a lot of insight into what this period was like for those living through it - on both sides of the time wall.

The land of Oasirica was a large and beautiful one. After suffering the ravages of an unpredictable climate and loss of knowledge during the Pause Time, it was transformed by the Djocorangan survivors of la Plaga into the Former Oasirican Republic of Ossidiacqua. Consisting of one main island and a handful of surrounding smaller ones, split into administrative Patriarchates and run by the all-powerful Magisterium, it is found just off the coast towards the north-west of the Vatmark region of Rushmore. The capital city of Sant'Elia is by far the biggest conurbation, and it whilst it used to shine with its golden spires and silver domes, it is now a shambolic and chaotic mix of alleyways and squares and piazzas - a hive of humanity that hums and thrums at all times of day with the scurrying of citizens. We Acquans are making every effort to restore the city to its former glory, and to this end we have gotten a steam powered monorail up and running, and are in the process of instigating a dirigible courier service.

Clean running water used to flow across the land and around the cities in an extensive network of aqueducts, channels, and canals that irrigated and watered the lush temperate pampas and shrubland biomes that covered the hills. The Pause Time triggered a decade of continued eruptions from the volcanoes in the large Patriarchate of Vul in the east of the country however, and largely thanks to their being located over extensive mineral deposits as they were, this affected the geography of the nation forever. These mineral deposits included a huge amount of obsidian, obsidian that was then erupted and distributed throughout the land in huge quantities, tainting the water, and giving the nation its new name. The water that flows is now nearly jet black in colour, and requires extensive treatment before it can be used as drinking water, leading us Acquans to rely on condensers that extract moisture from the dry air and from boiled off water vats often situated near the few rivers that remain. The reliability of these condensers is not fantastic, and whilst we are distrusting of technology on the whole, we need these to live. So, the duty of repairing them lies with the Magisterium. Namely, they are fixed by tech-priests who use mainly copycat techniques and guesswork accompanied by some rather frenzied prayer rather than any informed ability to fix and maintain the machines, the knowledge for which died with the rapid spread of la Plaga. The weather is taking longer to recover from the time wall than expected, and the land whilst not particularly hot, is still exceptionally dry. The Oasiricans were a highly educated and cultured race, and the fall and loss of knowledge is embarrassing to us Acquans.

This is now...

KIT COLOURS
Specially Commissioned Kits to Commemorate the Hosting of Copa Rushmori XVII

HOME - AWAY - KEEPER
ImageImageImage
It won't have escaped your notice that these kits are one tournament out of date, and still feature the Copa Rushmori XVII arm patches. However, what with being out of the country at the time of the time wall going up the team didn't have much chance to get their act together to replace/update them. Instead, out of mourning for their lost home, they will be wearing back armbands over both arm patches anyway, as well as sporting a single black teardrop tattoo below their right eye.

ROSTER AND TACTICS:
So, now you all know the history of the nation; trapped inside a time wall once again thanks to the devious Djocorangan dictator General Boku and the temporal interference of the ethereal mineral deposit erchite; here is the squad. Nicknamed i Senzatetto, The Homeless, it has been put together by manager Yoann Vega ever since the tragic and almost certainly officially entirely accidental death of former manager Alessio Cardinale. Vega is assisted by Cardinale's old assistant, Gregorio Di Falco. For one long, last cycle, these guys are going to be clubbing together to play their hearts out for their fallen country. All have managed to find a new club to play at almost immediately after they made the international community aware of their desire to play on, and this collective grief and passion will give them an edge on the pitch.

The Acquan game was cut off from the rest of the multiverse for 270 years, and as such developed a unique flavour and style of its own. Short passes, keeping possession, and running are the key to the majority of play, with Acquan teams keen to instil a sense of duty in their players that leads to any of them being able to play or deputise in any other position during the course of a match. The players are very capable with the ball, and have developed tricks and flicks enough to bamboozle any opponent - way, way ahead of their time as far as the rest of the multiverse is looking at it. However, they always had much to learn about the way the rest of the footballing community plays the game, and with the Acquan game developing a far higher tolerance for rough and tumble, even the silkiest of attacking forwards (and in this squad there are four outstanding interchangeable strikers) can find themselves sent off for an illegal tackle that would have been perfectly legal in the Acquan leagues. Therefore, it would be of great help to me if you could RP my team as technically gifted, but tactically naive, and as far as international standards go, incredibly violent. Thank you. How Acquan football will look the next time the walls fall is anyone's guess.

Furthermore, with literally nothing to lose anymore, the team will be eager to go out with a bang. I have raised their style modifier by one to full Takil accordingly.

Starting Formation: 4-4-2
Modifier: +5

'Home' Stadium: Obviously, with Ossidiacqua unreachable, a new stadium was required for the national team to host opposition squads at. Phone calls were made, and Ossidiacqua's Aelsh neighbours, one of the few nations willing to stand shoulder to shoulder with Ossidiacqua on an international stage, were able to put up the 'home' stadium for the cycle at New Free Stone Stadium, in Drayfill, Aels, with a capacity of 34,000. Current estimates are for a 'home' crowd of anything up to 2,000 Acquans, maximum.

THE OPPONENT CAN
Choose my goalscorers? Yes
Godmod scoring events? Yes
RP injuries to my players? Yes, within reason, and I reserve the right to change the severity in a follow-up RP
Godmod injuries to my players? Yes, as above
Hand out yellow cards to my players? Yes, it is encouraged in fact. See formation for details.
Hand out red cards to my players? Yes, it is encouraged in fact. See formation for details. Just never Velasquez.
Godmod other events? Yes, no deaths without TG contact first though.
