Welcome to World Cup 68!

This is the World Cup 68 Roster Thread. Nations that have signed up for World Cup 68 should post their rosters in this thread. This is NOT the Signup Thread, so nations that are not signed up for World Cup 68 should NOT post in this thread.

Rosters should include your starting 11, your reserves, your manager/coach/captain and any assistants on their staff. You may also include background information about your players, coaches and nations in this thread. This thread is also the place for information about your team's home stadium.

There are no limits on roster size and no requirements to make your roster realistic. In past World Cups, there have been teams comprised of magical jumping beans, talking ponies, bears with guns, monks from another universe and even a team of kids with magical powerups! Last time, a radical feminist organization impersonated a nation's national team after that nation decided to boycott the World Cup and that wasn't the first time that a nation fielded an all-woman team in the World Cup. In fact, teams comprised entirely of women have won World Cups in the past. There's also no requirement that your stadium must be located within your nation or, indeed, any requirements for your stadium other than a pitch and 2 goals. Maybe you've banned the sport and have to play in a remote location hiding from the police or maybe your team is being paid to play their home matches in another country. Maybe you play every home match in a different stadium before sold out, fanatically nationalistic, crowds or maybe you play your home matches at a run-down high school stadium before a bunch of empty seats. Its all up to you.

Rosters should also include a style modifier, which is a number between negative 5 and 5. Decimals are also allowed, with a limit of 3 decimal places. The higher your style modifier, the more goals you will score and the more goals you will allow. Coincidentally, the lower your style modifier, the fewer goals you will score and the fewer goals you will allow. You may change your style modifier, by requesting the change in an OOC note in an RP.

If you want to limit how your opponent may portray your nation and/or team in their RPs, you may include an RP permissions box in your roster:

Code: Select all
My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my goalscorers: Yes/No
Godmod scoring events: Yes/No
RP injuries to my players: Yes/No
Godmod injuries to my players: Yes/No
Hand out yellow cards to my players: Yes/No
Hand out red cards to my players: Yes/No
Godmod other events: Yes/No

You may also add conditions to your RP permissions, such as a request to TG you if they choose your scorers or restrictions on the severity of injuries if you allow them to RP injuries to your players.

Posting a roster will not only net you an RP bonus, but will also help with RP for both your groupmates and yourself.

This thread should only be used for the posting of rosters. If you have any questions, please post them in the World Cup Discussion Thread. RPs belong in the World Cup 68 RP Thread. Links to threads relevant to World Cup 68 will also be available in my sig.

Nickname: The Spuds

RB – Harry Pressley, 31

CB – Richard Barker, 29 (C)
Bulky Barker has been captain for three years, and the giant defender ‘s strength and heading are second to none.
CB – Karim Al Fatyah, 23

Fetcher-carrier with an eye for a pass, starting to fade with age.

LW – Afawange Nytnanga, 27 – Skilful with the ball, should start most games despite useless right foot.

GK – Len McGhalty, 35
First team keeper for years before age caught up with him.

The Felixian Football Association Presents...

The Felixian National Football Team

Intro-

The era of Ishikawa Haruka in full swing, ever since she became the first woman and foreigner that the FFA has ever hired for the coaching job, she has made massive changes to the national team and has changed the classic 3-4-3 formation to a more aggressive 4-2-3-1. Something unheard of in Felixian football, unless you are a fan of Altomare. The board and it's diehard fans had a lot of expectations for her and for the most part, she has done splendidly. While her Cup of Harmony start was less than pretty, the team finished in the Group Stage losing to deeply hated rivals, the Free Republics. But she had some recent successes, something Daniel Cardona did not have before. Namely in the Campionato Esportiva. Her Felixian team finished in the Round of 16, the best finish ever in the CE. Then Ishikawa did the amazing, despite the shaky start with Felix losing against Mizuyuki and Free Republics in matchdays 1 and 3. But the matchday 2 win against West Angola, the second seeded team, set the tone for the rest of the qualifiers. Soon enough her very aggressive attacking playing styles against the opponents of Group 17, the group of death as it was dubbed, caught the attention of the multiverse as the team beat out the expectations of many by getting first in Group 17 by the end of the first round of qualifying.

Unfortunately, like Daniel Cardona, her team finished 3rd, one point away from qualifying to the playoff round. And while that defeat broke the hearts of The Phoenix faithful, the people of Felix cheered when they got their invite to be a part of the Cup of Harmony. And the Felixian people cheered even more when they found out that they had a groundbreaking quarterfinal finish. Soon after that wonderful Cup of Harmony finish the team moved on to Campionato Esportiva where Felix and her bid partner, New Sideburn were defeated by hosting upstarts Buyan and The Royal Barangay. That bid defeat seemed to have an effect on the Felixian national team as they failed to qualify to the next round of the CE IX as they were eliminated by Old Guard in the play-in qualifier playoff. It was an embarrassing day for Felixian sports fans. Now, Felix hopes to erase those troubles caused by the CE IX and hopefully qualify this time around. But if history taught us anything it's that the second year of coaching a Felixian national team is usually the worst. Former Felixian hero, Daniel Cardona can tell you all about that. But nonetheless, The Phoenix gear up for another World Cup run, with some players moving overseas and others being part of Felixian clubs that made good runs in the latest UICA competition. Who knows? Maybe the Felixian side has some luck with them.

GK (2)-
Matías Ciriaco {Age: 34} (Real Maria City Image)* [Captain]
Ciriaco was born in Villarreal, Felix a town 30 minutes away from Santa Maria, the capitol of Felix. He is a very talented man playing for Real Santa Maria. He has is nearing his end of his international football career and wants to cap off this wonderful run he has had with a World Cup qualification. The thing is, does he have the strength and stamina to make it through a grueling qualifiers? We'll find out some time in the 18th matchday or something. But for now, expect him to be captain and to be as talismanic as possible.

Hartwin Kirchner {Age: 33} (Sporting Volker Image)
Hartwin Kirchner is a goalkeeper from Arlington, Felix. And he has done massively well in Sporting Volker in recent years ever since he became the starting goalkeeper for the club at the age of 23. He is known for his athleticism at blocking shots and oddly enough, his dribbling ability. He was once able to dodge two forwards when they tried to steal the ball with him back in the 2008-2009 season. He played two games in the qualifiers and managed to get a clean sheet, something that did impress Ishikawa Haruka. But all that could change as Matías Ciriaco enters his twilight years of international football, he could even start and that in itself would be godsend for him. Heck, he could even start earlier should Ciriaco get too tired. But that all depends on outside forces he can't control.

DEF (8)-
Bernardino Florentino {Age: 29} (Real Santa Maria Image)*
Bernardino is a defensive star in Real Santa Maria, originally from Altomare and once was on their youth team, this overlooked player was released by the Altomare side and eventually landed a job in Rel Santa Maria. Hoping to prove his doubters wrong and show Altomare that he needed to be in their team, he became won of the best players in the FCL in the 2011-2012 season and even won two FCL championships with his team. In the last World Cup qualifiers he preformed quite well, saving Felix from multiple situations where Felix could've given up a goal. Now he enters this World Cup qualifiers with a hunger that can only be satisfied by hands* qualifying for the big party itself, the World Cup.

Aloysius Blau {Age: 29} (Stalliongrad HC Image)**
Aloysius Blau hasn't had the glamourous life compared to many other players in this team. Born in downtown Sieberg, he comes from humble and also tragic beginnings. His father was killed by muggers at the age of 5 and his mother worked all day to support him and his younger brother, Titus Blau. Football was an escape for the young Blau and eventually he garnered attention from scouts from many elite Felixian clubs. He was heavily scouted by Sporting Volker and he soon started to play for them at the age of 16. He did amazing in his years there and after winning two FCL titles with them he moved to Stalliongrad where he continues to play amazingly well for the Equestrian States team.

Alexis Garcia {Age: 26} (Fadron Flight Image)*
Alexis Garcia is from the small town of Islas in northern Felix. Because the town had two official languages Alexis learned two languages as a kid, Catalan and Castilian (Spanish). When he first joined Hampshire United, he had to quickly learn English and he did. But he wasn't that good of a speaker and because of that he was shy with his teammates in the English speaking city of Hampshire. Fortunately for him he gained confidence as a player and as a person when started in the team and soon became one of the leaders of the team. In the last World Cup qualifiers he continued to impress with his fast and physical style of defending. He is expected to do well in this edition of the World Cup.

Jon Vilmar {Age: 25} (Meadbrook Ranger F.C Image)**
Jon Vilmar like Kaapo Samu is a graduate of the U-21 system Sanna had and has a bright future ahead of him as he should expect to see playing time in the future as the veterans start to age and the opportunities start to arise. He is most commonly known for his skills in defending and in the counterattack where his former club, Dusseldorf F.C, used those skills to their advantage. And now, Springmont team, Meadbrook Ranger F.C uses those skills to an advantage. Thanks to that, Ishikawa Haruka promoted him to starter. Now he has a lot to do in order to prove that he is the right man for the job.

Rubinho Mata {Age: 29} (Sieberg Image)
Rubinho Mata is a very smart man, he comes from the town of Campinho in Felix but because Portuguese is not one of the national languages, he had to learn a lot of them and adapt to other languages. Right now he can speak four of the five national languages, he can speak in Swedish, English, Italian, Castilian and his native language Portuguese. He can also understand German and French. But his talents are not just in learning languages, but on the pitch itself. He is a excellent defender and has shown with his Sieberg club, in the World Cup though, he has become less effective. Because of that he has now been by former Dusseldorf F.C player, Jon Vilmar.

Manuele Provenza {Age: 27} (Altomare Image)
Manuele was born in Altomare, Felix and has loved his Altomare team forever. So it was a shock when he moved to another team, especially a foreign one. But he was that good and he couldn't help himself but attract attention from foreign clubs. So he left Altomare to prove his stuff elsewhere. But things didn't work out, the nation folded their national league and Provenza returned to Altomare where he is a power player in one of the best clubs in Felix, He too is a natural leader despite the fact he is quite the cocky man.

Josh Smith {Age: 27} (Hampshire United Image)
Josh Smith has always been ignored by the common crowd. Despite him being the first black man to play in Hampshire United in the 2007-2008 season he has made little noise in the team until the 2010-2011 season. But then he made even more noise by becoming one of the shutdown defenders for the Hampshire United club during the 2012-2013 season in which the team qualified for the Globe Cup. Now he is in the national team ready to make even more noise and establish a reputation for himself.

Kaapo Samu {Age: 25} (Jenipapa Image)
Kaapo is a tall, Swedish speaking man and is very proud of it. He refused to leave his beloved Cato. But, after a tough season for Cato, Samu moved to Dainer as he was dissatisfied with his team. He is now recovering smoothly and is now a rising star in the national team. Expect him to save Felix from defeat when others can't. But don't expect him to start in the national team, yet.

MID (10)-
Ji Iseul Kwan {Age: 27} (Ponyville United Image)**
Ji Iseul Kwan is the only Korean in the whole team. He is also one of the fastest players in the whole team as he has a great level of acceleration and has big strides. That's probably the main reason why he was picked by Ponyville United during the offseason a few years back. But not only does Kwan have great speed he is just a great midfielder to be with in the pitch and a great man off the pitch. He is a talented shooter and expect him to do some long shots in the tournament.

Gabriel Jenaro {Age: 27} (Fontvieille FC Image) *
The man that replaced Sebastian Krister has certainly made his mark on the pitch in Real Santa Maria. he made a huge impact to the team and is a crowd favourite in the club. That attracted the attention from foreign clubs as Fontvieille a power in Yttribian football bought him from Real Santa Maria. He has certainly improved in his shooting but isn't as good as Krister quite yet. Despite that, he is a amazing midfielder with great awareness and strength. He is also good at corner shots as he delivers the ball right to the heads or legs of the men in the middle.

Sebastian Krister {Age: 25} (Bjarnarey Flotilla Image)*
Sebastian Krister is the main star of Felixian football at the moment as he is currently the only Felixian in a top league, the Polarian league. Bjarnarey has certainly improved since he joined that team and he and his great teammates took on the giants of Polar Islandstates club football recently and got a Globe Cup spot, something Bjarnarey fans loved. He has excelled in the new system Ishikawa Haruka implemented back in two years back.

Kunibert Mathias {Age: 25} (Brinemouth Image)*
Born in Dusseldorf, Felix, he is a talented man from the U-21 system Sanna set up. Thanks to that very special training he received at his proto-prime age, he has become a big weapon to any team he is in. Due his desire to leave his team, Dusseldorf F.C and move elsewhere. He was bought by Brinemouth in New Sideburn, a club with a history goal scoring midfielders. Something this talented 23 year old is. And something he will surely show to the multiverse again as he is still the starter.

Maria Martell {Age: 24} (Saberfell Moths Image)**
Maria Martell is the oldest of the Martell sisters from Buena Villa, Felix near Santander. Maria Martell was scouted by the Trieste team and played for them regularly for the team and even developed a cult status for the team when she was one of the best players in the Women's FCL. After playing in the FCL she became a seasoned veteran in the Felixian football and because of that she was bought by New Sideburnese club, Saberfell Moths. She is expected to start in some games soon as she has been getting better and better.

Chloe Álvarez {Age: 24} (Royals FF Image)
Chloe Álvarez was born in Cordoba, Felix and was once played for the women's Cordoba club in the Women's FCL before it closed up along with the league when the two leagues merged. She was very successful for the Lyon club where she was one of the main reasons that the club has won Copa Félix, qualified for the Globe Cup nearly winning the FCL in their first season in the first division. She was been called up by Ishikawa Haruka in her attempt to include more women in the national team, it was successful as she proved a point to the Felixian football world that women can be as good as men. She then transferred to the Vanersholmare team of Royals FF after another successful Lyon season.

Andres de Colorado {Age: 27} (Ponyville United Image)
Andres, de Colorado was once ignored by the best scouts back in his youth but he had a quick rise when he joined and played for Napoli. Thanks to that he was quickly noticed by foreign teams. And after a great season with Napoli he then transferred out to Ponyville United, where he currently plays and has since then has been proven to be a good weapon for the team as he has played solidly. Expect him to be seen more in the near future during qualifiers.

Manolo Espina {Age: 27} (Altomare Image)
Manolo Espina was born in Gallo, Felix a small Italian speaking town just west of Altomare. He has been a great talent ever since he was a little boy and he was soon discovered by two teams, Altomare and Sieberg. Going against his parent's wishes, he decided to go with Sieberg, instead of the hometown favourite, Altomare. Espina recently transferred to Altomare (finally following his parent's wishes) after many years in Sieberg. It was said he joined because saw the opportunities joining that presented and that his former team wasn't the right fit for him. He will be a major weapon for the national team in the future.

Nickolaus Dürr {Age: 24} (Colesley United Image)
Nickolaus was born in Sieberg, Felix and was another star player in the U-21 team that Sanna coached. He joined the team at 22, the youngest age the FFA would allow people to join the team. He was a weapon for sure in Sieberg as he is both the shooter and the passer. So like most star Felixian midfielders he can do a multitude of things. And that multitasking ability allowed him to move from Sieberg to Colesley United in the BoF hopeful nation of Florgania. Nickolaus will probably not start yet but he might be subbed in if the team needs extra firepower in a important match or if a player gets tired.

Jacinto Crespo {Age: 23} (Universidad de Santander Image)
Jacinto Crespo was born Santander, Felix and is the son of a lawyers. His parents wanted him to follow in their footsteps but he would have none of that as he enrolled himself in the football academy in Santander, against his parent's wishes. Still, he did quite well and impressed the trainers. So when Universidad de Santander joined the FCL and went professional, he was picked as a starter of the new team. Since then he has built a reputation as a solid midfielder with talents that should be noticed. He won't start that many games but he when he does he will certainly leave a mark.

FWD (6)-
Mikel Araboa {Age: 28} (Stemanisis SSC Image)**
Mikel was born in Barcelona, Felix. Mikel Araboa was one of the main stars of the Felixian national team as he was one of the top goal scorers of the whole team in the BoF and was in the top five in the list in the World Cup qualifiers back in the 63 cycle. He use to play in Apox with the football club, Mandon United. But after some years of failure for his former club he moved to Stemanisis SSC in Yttribia. He is agile, speedy and has uncanny way of scoring goals as he is accurate with shots and is good at passing. He now regained his spot as starting forward.

Simo Roni {Age: 27} (Stalliongrad HC Image)
Simo is another great player that once played for Real Santa Maria (and was also born there) and later moved to another team. He is a talented man with a skill set to watchout for if you are playing against. He might be small but he surprisingly has a moderately high level of strength and is unsurprisingly the fastest player in the whole team. He is accurate with shots from short range and he is great at crossing and passing. He will see the field in the tournament.

Haruto Takahashi {Age: 24} (Altomare Image)
Haruto Takahashi was scouted by Altomare when he lived in Villanova and was soon put in the Altomare B team when it was created. He soon became a starter and caught the attention from the front office of the Altomare team, he joined it the first team and soon made an impact as his speed and accurate shots soon propelled his club. Now he has earned a spot in the national team. Will he start at all? Certainly.

Eutimio Salazar {Age: 26} (Ponyville United Image)
Euitimio Salazar is another great forward from Santa Maria, but unlike his counterpart, he decided to play for Real Santa Maria, where he played football for years. After some successful seasons there he was bought by Ponyville United where he plays today. He is a talented man with great speed, shooting power and passing ability but sometimes loses the ball. He is a man to watch for as he will be used in a lot of counteroffensive operations in the game.

André Bonheur {Age: 27} (Atletico Radi Image)
Bonhuer use to be the French speaking (he also speaks other languages mind you) talent of Altomare, now? He is the French speaking talent of Atletico Radi in The Royal Barangay. It seems like that move forced him up to national team status. And his skills show why, he is strong, really strong and yet has a really good speed to him. And while his is nearing the end of his prime he still have 4 years left of fantastic national team football. Expect him to be subbed in when Felix needs that extra shooter.

Constança Rios {Age: 30} (Lyon Image)
Constança is another female player in the national team. She was born in a small town called Portuguesa where, unsurprisingly, they speak Portuguese. She is a talented player with great speed, shooting ability, and if caught in a counterattack, she can easily defend well due to her physical style of play. She will start a game or two in this tournament.

Manager-
Ishikawa Haruka {Age: 28} Image
Ishikawa Haruka (Mikazukian: 石川 遥 , Tinchalian: 石川 遥; born September 28, 1989) is a Mizuyukian football manager and former professional football player. She is also the current manager of Felix, having taken up the post following the sacking of interim coach Manuel Alessandri by the Felixian FA. She is the first ever female manager to take up the reins at Felix, and simultaneously the first foreigner to do so.

Ishikawa is widely regarded as one of the best football managers the nation has ever produced, leading an unheralded Mizuyuki team to a respectable mid-table finish in their first ever World Cup qualifying attempt while also securing a comfortable position in the Casaran Baptism of Fire 52, narrowly missing out on progression to the second stage. Following her maiden World Cup campaign, Ishikawa took a six-month sabbatical from her position and was replaced by Mizuyuki U21 coach Shirakiin Kurumi. In her absence, Shirakiin performed well beyond expectations, lifting Mizuyuki's first piece of silverware in the form of the Market Cup and leading the team to qualification for the World Cup Finals at her first attempt. Shirakiin's unexpected success led the Mizuyuki FA to relieve Ishikawa of her coaching duties and appoint Shirakiin with immediate effect. Finding herself without gainful employment, Ishikawa applied for the vacant post of Felix manager in late 2013 and was ultimately successful, defeating several other qualified candidates by way of a thorough examination process to secure the position.

Ishikawa is known as a progressive coach favouring an attacking style of play. Her teams are renowned for their coruscating, fluid attacking movement and emphasis on possession. She generally employs a forward-thinking 4-2-3-1, and has been known to abandon responsible defending in favour of all-out offensive play.

*= Automatic placing
**= Fought position

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Starters in bold:

Goal:
1. Haki Asgard - GK (37) - A solid goalkeeper, experienced and a natural leader. Co-captain behind Sobek Dehenat.
12. Eren Dauragur - GK (30) - On the squad after Ko-oren B's good run in the Market Cup. He's not very far behind Enshadilsa.
23. Storm Enshadilsa - GK (28) - Biggest talent among Ko-orenite goalkeepers. Has had a great season in the V-league.

Defensive:
2. Svarlamn Norn - LWB (29) - Energetic leftback, has good passing and is always looking for an offensive break.
3. Sobek Dehenat - CB (37) - Captain and biggest personality on the team. Calm and collected, experienced leader of the defense.
4. Lodur Nidog - RWB (31) - Slow player, but excellent in keeping strikers away from the ball.
13. Katanmak Juliasterinthen - CB (24) - Biggest defending talent. Was given the starting position to see how it works out, and has taken the challenge well in AOCAF.
14. Fuujin Iwaki - CB (29) - Reliable CB, though he hardly does anything outside of defense. Poor passing.
20. Futushi Musashi - RB (32) - Can play on either wing, slightly unreliable defender who's in the best of his years.

Midfielders:
7. Fin Fenner - RCM (33) - Central passing man on the team. Any attack is likely to start with one of his passes.
8. Susano Sanuki - LCM (31) - The most defensive of the five midfielders, sometimes acts as second central back next to the central defender.
6. Nalaikh Bagaurunir - DM (24) - Was on the U-21 squad in the Di Bradini Cup. Despite the poor results there, he was called for the team.
16. Roluswishandin Erlenajaur - DM (25) - Inexperienced and it shows, needs to play a lot more important matches before he can play in the NT.
15. Bjarswind Napertnau - CM (26) - The next Fin Fenner. Excellent passing, can even take free kicks well.
10. Palnatoki Idrasil - RWM (31) - Quick winger, unpredictable and good at crosses as well as dribbling.
5. Thor Alfar - LWM (27) - Can give good crosses, but is too slow to get in that position often. He is very strong though, and can hold the ball well.
17. Pta Talmis - AM (28) - Passing man behind the strikers. Knows exactly when to give a through pass, pass to the wings, or pass back.
18. Esolywend Eregrent - AM (24) - Attacking midfielder who is also just as good on either wing. Can even play central midfielder.
21. Holbuligen Bohanan - AM (28) - Best man of the Market Cup squads, leading them to 3 consecutive 2nd places. Can play anywhere on midfield.

Attackers:
19. Izasul Terathu - RS (29) - His speed, enthusiasm and acceleration is unrivaled in this team. His first World Cup as starting striker, he replaces the old Shiribeshi.
9. Naemasu Tokachi - ST (31) - Second striker behind Terathu. Most assists are by him, but he can score too.
11. Koyane Shiribeshi - ST (34) - Has been the first striker for years. Still has '11', as no one dares to take it from him. Lost his fine touch, but is still a very good attacker.
22. Uilta Bonangorthen - LS (27) - Called because Ko-oren is short on good strikers. Was in the Ko-oren B team, and was quite good there.

After a disappointing 3rd place finish as the 14th ranked team in the world, the team is back to qualify for the World Cup. Only... this is Ko-oren's (unlucky?) 13th cycle.

Scoring: Terathu-Tokachi-Fenner-Idrasil
Bookings: Norn-Sanuki-Nidog-Talmis
Left corner: Sanuki-Tokachi
Right corner: Tokachi-Alfar
Direct free kick: Tokachi-Fenner-Sanuki-Alfar
Indirect free kick: Alfar-Tokachi-Dehenat-Norn
Penalties: Terathu-Tokachi-Dehenat-Fenner-Idrasil-Talmis-Alfar-Sanuki
Striker subs: Shiribeshi-Bonangorthen
Attacking midfielder subs: Eregrent-Bohanan-Shiribeshi
Defensive midfielder subs: Napertnau-Bohanan-Bagaurunir-Erlenajaur
Defender subs: Juliasterinthen-Musashi-Iwaki

The Sarian World Cup Squad

About The Sarian

The Royal Isles of The Sarian, commonly known as the Royal Isles or just The Sarian is an archipelago in the south of Esportiva, some 200 miles away from the nearest landmass. The archipelago, which has an area of 47,000 square miles , comprises two large islands, Saria and Regis and 19 other inhabited Islands.

The Sarian is a Constitutional Monarchy, based in the purpose built Capital, King William City that was named after King William I, who reigned from 2018 to 2093. The Parliament is bicameral, based on the Westminster System. The Chief Executive is the leader of the largest party in The Sarian, regardless of if it can gain a majority, although coalitions may be made. The Executive Council is comparable to a Cabinet in most countries. The Legislative Assembly is elected from consistencies from each Province and the Notable Assembly is appointed by the Monarch, on advice of the Chief Executive. The Monarchy is hereditary, with the heir apparent being the eldest son or daughter of the Monarch.

The climate is a cold marine climate, with strong westerly breezes that bring snow all year round, with the exception of the summer months of January and February, strong winds mean that blizzards occur regularly. Most Islands are mountainous, with the exception of Regis and Porshmap, and dotted with peat bogs and deeply indented coast provides good natural harbours.

The Staff

LEONARD HEATHWAIT - HEAD COACH
Image

Hometown: Chippenham, Isle Saria Image
Club: N/A
Position: Head Coach
Age: 60
Bio:Born in the affluent part of Chippenham, Lavington, Leonard Heathwait has come to success as manager of Sarian Champions, FC Chippenham. After graduating from the University of Greater Chippenham, Leonard went on to become a talk show host for SNN Radio, eventually leaving aged 41 to run for Legislative Assembly as a member of Prosperity and Growth, a small Conservative Party in the Islands. After winning a seat, he ran for re-election four years later but was beaten by Libertarian opposition, on the same evening his father passed away and Leonard, being an only child, inherited the family fortune, just under 6 billion Imperias. He created a gym in Lavington and was soon recognized for his strong leadership skills, then aged 53 he was approached by FC Chippenham Chairman, Peter Walliams to manage the club, a role he held until after the Cup of Harmony, where he got the Sarian job on a full time basis after being interim for the tournament, upon taking the manager job, Leonard became known for his fierce team talks and radical selection policy, as well as a video of him punching a journalist going viral. However, a Beltane Cup win left him leading the Sarian in the WCQ's in good spirit.

GODFREY POTTER ASSISTANT MANAGER
Image

Hometown: Darwin, Isle Oakhurst
Image

Position: Assistant Manager
Age: 65

Stringer continued as first choice keeper throughout the qualifying campaign, only loosing his place after breaking his thumb in training, returning in the Cup of Harmony he kept The Sarians losses from coming embarrassing with his cool handling of pressure and diving ability, in the Beltane Cup and most recent Super League season, the keeper was in top form, leaving no doubt about his ability.

Bio: Some say he shouldn't be a defender, others cheer on his every move. The complete opposite to Firmin, Seabrooke, or SeeSee as his is nicknamed, is an attacking defender with a real flair for football. Working alongside Firmin at both club and country level, the two are a dynamic pair.

Notes

Saintland has a very rough style of play and very few fouls in our national league, so don't hesitate to card Sanctii players, especially if Saintland loses. In the Sanctii version of the 4-2-1-3 formation, the outside backs also function as outside midfielders. Prince Andreas is the twin brother of Prince Josephus, the goalie and captain for the Saintland ice & field hockey team and younger brother of King Petrus XX, quarterback and captain for Saintland's gridiron team (and also the new King of Saintland). He is the team captain and also functions as the team's playmaker. Ioannes and Nicolaus Poenius are brothers, as are Silvester, Paulus and Josephus Flaccus, Stephanus and Philippus Vagionius, Petrus and Isaacus Barrius and Petrus and Marcus Jucundius. Andreas Inventius is the brother of Pius Inventius, Saintland's flagbearer at the VIII Winter Olympics. Inventius is a defensive-minded midfielder. Georgius Catiotus is married to Martha Catiotus (maiden name: Pudentilla), the figure skater from Saintland, who won the gold medal at the VIII Winter Olympics. Both Mr. and Mrs. Catiotus competed at the IX Winter Olympics, against the wishes of Prince Andreas, so Georgius Catiotus has been benched for World Cup 68. Stephanus Vagionius is not an especially fast player, but he is very tall and he is an exceptional finisher. Philippus Vagionius is faster than his brother and just as good at finishing. Herakles Karoki, an Acedonian national who was granted Sanctii citizenship prior to World Cup 66, is the star striker and an all-around dominant player. Karoki led the Saintland-Acedonia Unified Team to an Olympic gold medal at the Games of the VIII Olympiad, with a dominant performance and then led the Sanctii National Team to a successful World Cup 66 qualifying campaign. The Poenius brothers both have world-class speed. When Saintland attacks, typically Prince Andreas has possession of the ball and the Vagionius brothers, the center midfielders and the outside backs all try to get open inside the box, but 1 or 2 of them will usually be left back to defend (never Stephanus Vagionius), except when the situation calls for an aggressive attack. Prince Andreas takes free kicks, corners and throw-ins. Karoki will handle penalties. When I have started RPing a match report, I will update my factbook to reflect what happened in the match. I will likely be saving full match report RPs for special occasions from now on.

Saintland boycotted World Cup 67 qualifying, ostensibly over "corruption" in the WCC, but actually because they had no desire to go to either Cassadaigua or the Equestrian States. After Feministvs Sanctvsterra, impersonating this team, earned a Cup of Harmony berth, they decided to end their one-nation boycott and take the spot that had been earned on their behalf. They eventually reached the Round of 16 before being eliminated by Ko-oren.

After the ascension to the Throne of King Petrus XX, he reached out to Josephus Flaccus. Flaccus had defected Saintland following World Cup 65 qualifying and became a star in New Sideburn's domestic league. King Petrus XX worked out a deal for him to return to the Saintland National Team.

Saintland's RPs during World Cup 68 qualifying will generally focus on events that took place between the conclusion of World Bowl XXII and the start of World Cup 68 qualifying. They were (mostly) written prior to the qualifying draw, so don't expect a response to any of your RPs about Saintland until the playoffs at the earliest.

Here is the Gregoryisgoidstan soccer team's roster. Our team is nicknamed the Foot Slaves. Our style modifier is -5

Coach: Head Soccer Coach Soccerlord McSoccerlord (Age 42, 6/11/1971). Note that his name includes the "Head Soccer Coach" part. He is the same person as Retired Soldier Commander Lieutenant Warlord McWarlord, our retired midfielder, but changed his name. LITERALLY FIRED FOR POOR PERFORMANCE AFTER MD5. AS IN, HE WAS SET ON FIRE.

New Coach Starting with MD6: Retired Soldier Commander Lieutenant Warlord McBurgerKing (Age 40, 9/11/1973) Former midfielder for the national team in WC 66 and WC 67.

Note: All birthdays listed in the "Gregorian Calendar", which Lord Almighty Gregory claims to have invented, hence it bears his name. But it is just the regular Gregorian calendar, with certain changes (read on for more.) All dates are MM/DD/YYYY. Note that in Gregoryisgodistan, the year changes on June 1, rather than January 1, so January 1, 2013 follows December 31, 2013, and is equivalent to January 1, 2014 in other calendars. World Cup 68 will begin in March of 2013, three months after World Cup 67, which began in December of 2013. World Cup 69 will likely start in June of 2014, shortly after Gregoryisgodistani New Year's Day.

Gregoryisgodistani names have the title first, which is usually whatever job they have. Then comes either the government ID sequence (for commoners) or the name (for government VIP's.) If that is the same, they are the same person even if the title is different. However, government VIPs can change their name whenever they want.

Lineup:

GK Prune Farmer 3818F (Age 19, 12/30/1994)
DEF Police Agent Jorge Warlord (Age 27, 9/26/1986)
DEF Government Advisor Lordborn Godsam (Age 31, 3/14/1982)
DEF Secret Police Agent Dominic Button (Age 31, 4/26/1981)
DEF Secret Ingelligence Agent [Redacted], Badge Number 98455 (Age 34, 1/10/1979)
MF Soccer Jester FunnyMan294 (Age 33, 12/13/1980) EXECUTED after game 2, replaced by Pervert Chaser 867530PNC
MF Soccer Jester CLOWNPIREPIE (Age 20, 4/23/1992)
MF Prune Farmer 913881 (Age 31, 10/11/1982)
MF Guy Who Cleans Up Behind The Elephant at the Circus P0120AZNNAU (Age 23, 6/11/1991)
FW Soccer Captain Laredo Potato (C) (Age 30, 11/11/1983)
FW Loyal Friend of Lord Almighty Gregory Robert Possibe (Age 25, 02/22/1988)

Bench:

GK Cow Herder 91291A (Age 30, 07/07/1983)
GK Youth NNNSHDHD284 (Age 16, 11/14/1997)
DEF Grammar Enforcement Officer ZZNNKUMBYA (Age 31, 04/11/1981)
DEF Chef 82718138 (Age 18, 01/12/1995)
DEF Executioner 98481 (Age 28, 05/17/1984)
DEF Decapitated Head-to-Bomb Converter DHU83818 (Age 31, 10/30/1982)
MF Pervert Chaser 867530PNC (Age 21, 7/15/1992)
MF Fisherman PAZLLLL102 (Age 25, 8/19/1989)
FW Loyal Friend of Lord Almighty Gregory Henry Itted (Age 21, 6/3/1982)
FW Loyal Friend of Lord Almighty Gregory Joseph Hauu (Age 20, 5/4/1982)

Home games will be played at Lord Almighty Gregory National Stadium in the Capital District, which has been expanded to seat 400,617. The last three digits are in honor of Lord Almighty Gregory's birthday. If the game is not a sellout, fans will be selected by lottery and forced to attend. The stadium seats are divided into two areas, the upper and lower sections. The lower section is the original and seats 225,617. It is shown in the picture below. The upper section is on top of the partial roof and fans watch the game through the opening. The angle is good enough that they can see the entire field but they cannot see the stands in the lower level. It seats 175,000. It was built prior to the last World Cup.

RP Permissions: Basically, do whatever you want but expect reciprocation. If you card my players, I'll card yours. If you kill my players, I'll kill yours. Just don't kill Lord Almighty Gregory, our head of state and alleged deity. Also, if you are going to refer to my nation by a different name for IC reasons (like Gregoryisnotgodistan) please either TG me or leave an OOC note saying you are referring to Gregoryisgodistan. I frequently search for mentions of my nation, but if it's not mentioned by name, that doesn't help. So either mention it by name in an OOC note or TG me to give me a heads up. You don't need to wait for permission with the TG, but please send it so I can respond to the RP. Also, striking out the "isgod" part (as in Gregoryisgodistan) causes it to not show up on the search, so this will not fulfill the notification requirement. However, feel free to use that style as long as you either mention me by name without the strikethrough in the same post or TG me to let me know about the post.

This formation is the perfect storm. It showcases spectuacular offense, pressing defense, and play up and down the field. Few have stopped it sense the debut of the formation in the Campionato Esportiva IX, where the Eagles were runners up. Whoever wishes to beat the Eagles will have to get through this conundrum of a formation first.

Notes:
The start of a new cycle. New beginnings. Old faces. Der Adlerschaft will start their crusade for international glory this cycle. They'll kick it off with World Cup Qualifiers, where the Eagles have been shut down the past 2 attempts.

However, this squad is not the squad of two years ago, when the Eagles were shown down. They have Rheinhart's Dream, a new formation that few have stopped. They have the ever talented 4-headed striking monster that cuts through defense like a hot knife through butter. Most of all, they have determination. In the Cup of Harmony and Campionato Esportiva IX, they have come up just short, getting 3rd and runners up respectively.Historically, the Eagles have not done that well in WCQs, coming up just short of qualification in WC66, putting up a fight in 67 despite goalkeeper mediocrity. Manager Karl Rheinhart hopes that they will put that bad history behind them, saying that this squad is much better than the previous two. Hope is high for the team. The Eagles also find themselves in a new position. After making it into the top 50 internationally, Der Adlerschaft will have to live up to the past success and show that the CoH and CE results were not mere flukes.

Facing all of these challenges and more, Der Adlerschaft will have to play strong in the next cycle.

GK Ryan Williams (vice-captain) - an experienced goalkeeper with over twelve years of experience. Known for his leadership over the defence and has a reputation of a 'wall', due to his high clean sheet record. Despite his age, he has retained his reflexes.
RB Andrew Watson - fast, good passing abilities. A solid tackler too.
CB George Roberts - a solid centre-back with a strong shot and good marking abilities.
CB Eden Maxwell - a new addition to the team; he uses his height and endurance in one-on-one battles. His youth also give him a vibrancy and reserves of energy.
LB James Ferdinand - physically strong player with high stamina reserves. Uses his pace and dribbling skills to effectively play as a left wing-back.

CDM Andrew Vermuelen (captain) - an experienced player who was once a very energetic, fast and agile right-winger; he now relies on his vision, composure and good leadership skills to act as the team's playmaker.
CDM Jonathan Bale - another new addition to the team; picked for his agility, pace, stamina and ability to track back to the defense and play as an additional defender.
LM Ian Hazard - a young, energetic player with a certain creativity, speed and technical ability to him that allows for a wide variety of uses.
CAM Daniel Larssen - a strong, powerful player who can play as a box-to-box midfielder. His technical ability and ability to pass has made him the perfect attacking midfielder for Agrincourt.
RM Nathaniel Miller - a recent addition to the team after becoming the top scorer of the Agrincourtian Premier League; his pace, speed, agility, short height and his strong left-footed shot have allowed him to become a very versatile player - he can player anywhere in the midfield, as well as on the wings.

CF Bane Anderson
- Anderson is a proven centre-forward and striker. He has been named the top player of the APL twice in the past three seasons, scoring over seventy goals in around a hundred appearances. His high speed, balance, endurance and shooting prowess have made him the ideal striker.

Falvir's contributions to Vanorian football and the rise of Ibini FC under her management have landed her the spot as the manager of the national team. She became the first Vyintanese to ever hold the office and to many is seen that anything is possible for anyone residing within the commonwealth. Tactically, she prefers a possessive game with probing from wingers and the midfielders, which suits the player strengths of Valanora, with a history of superb attacking midfielders. Her appointment brout a lot of excitement back to Vanorian football and has been seen as a major cultural moment for the entire commonwealth, especially with the success of guiding the Marauders to the Final of the AOCAF in her first cycle in charge, and the Semis in the World Cup.

Polennoion Mitheththor
Age: 1511
Polennoion was an odd choice to be Falavir's right hand man, considering that his squads have never done more than what is expected of them. Granted that being the manager of AC Valanari had never been an easy challenge for him, but there were other options with a better pedigree to choose from. His ability to keep the squad disciplined even when there were signs of tension during the last campaign proved his worth and why Falavir picked him to be the assistant.

Keeper

1 Aediron Galadirdren, Ibini FC
Age - 671
Sex - M
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 174 lbs
Galadirdren looks to be the long term solution for the Marauders in net after several stellar seasons in the domestic scene with Ibini FC. While not loud and "in control" of his box, the keeper is very good when the opposition has a breakaway, as well as some amazing reflexes. His best attribute though is his near perfect position, always seeming to know where the opposition is going to place their shots or crosses.

Defenders

2 Vanacauion Haelinde, Raynor City United
Age - 681
Sex - M
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 168 lbs
A versatile defender who is quick for his size and good with his feet. Can be an attacking threat not only on set piece situations but also deliver good through balls and crosses when he does venture forth.

3 Aearost Tinueme, Raynor City United
Age - 608
Sex - M
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 166 lbs
With the failures of the backline the past few editions, the new managerial staff decided that pairing Haelinde with his club teammate on the national team seemed the best idea. Tinueme unlike Haelinde is a stay at home centerback, looking to disrupt opponents play with a combination of pace, strength and solid positioning. He is a manger's dream of a centerback.

4 Urúvcion Kinarthir, Ibini FC~
Age - 582
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 166 lbs
Part of what makes up a very formidable defense in the Premiership, Kinarthir is a mobile defender who while natural in center of the park, can also operate on the wings. A good passer and crosser of the ball and will have to pick their moments to attack cautiously with the reliance of the centerbacks on the national team for the majority of the defensive assignments.

Midfield

21 Espy va Drake, Yuba United (Paripana)
Age: 747
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 159 lbs
After becoming a folklore hero for the lower class of the world, va Drake has made himself one of the living legends of the game after help leading the side to a title in World Cup 53. He has traveled far and wide while plying his trade, donning kits for no less than five countries clubs. Seen as the driving force in the middle of the park alongside Hawk, it is up to the opposition to try and figure out how to deal with the brilliance the winger and his other attackers have rather than them to create magic.

6 Aintôrthea Durosa, Raynor City United
Age - 756
Sex - F
Height: 5"10"
Weight: 144 lbs
Durosa is one of those players that can play just about any position, as her skill set is vast and adequate in multiple areas. She developed her skills in her CMSC seasons, nabbing goals and assists with regularity and continued with her transfer to the Cafundeu league. She translated that wealth of experiences into solid form and was named captain to her side in Astograth, with hope that this recognition raises her play for the national team. Her good knowledge of va Drake's typical playing patterns has made the two to be a devastating pair for the opposition to contain.

14 Laborious Hawk, Hondo FC
Age - 711
Sex -M
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 213 lbs
Words do not even begin to define his talent, his talent defines words. He was awarded one of the spots that the Vanorians have in the World Cup Hall of Fame, with it being very well deserved, as he has and continues to earn everything he has been given every single day. Hawk simply strives to be the very best footballer, captain, and teammate that there can be, with the hunger for perfection driving him forth on and off the pitch.

8 Merenwen Lúinwë, Hondo FC
Age - 677
Sex - F
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 152 lbs
Lúinwë is not really an exceptional talent, not compared to the rest of the midfielders on the side. What she is though is very hard working and disclinplined. Don't let her small statue fool you, she will get stuck in with the best of them and can also spring an attack with well placed through balls. All in all, a player who will fill their role well but likely not exceed it, but with Hawk, Soldarian, and va Drake around her, that's all she will need to do.

7 Faeron Soldarian, Raynor City United
Age - 625
Sex - M
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 163 lbs
Soldarian continues to live in the shadow of more well known players both on the national team and with his club. Despite this, Soldarian is seen by all on the squad as the emotional leader and the linchpin the in the middle that allows the more attacking minded midfielders being allowed to play their game.

Strikers

9 Allandren Fresco, Ibini FC
Age - 500
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 167 lbs
Fresco will once again have to learn to play off a new strike partner with Isiliéseil being recognized for his exceptionally play in the domestic league and given a spot straight into the starting eleven. By now Fresco is a known commodity, strong in the air with a pretty decent shot, the vision to create when asked upon. With both of the forwards very comfortable playing with the ball in their feet rather than one being a poacher, you can expect them to rotate their positions, along with Hawk, to create a fearsome attacking spearhead trio that will be difficult for many managers to come up with a plan to stop.

10 Sellien Isiliéseil, Hondo FC ~
Age - 682
Sex - M
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 162 lbs
Sellien is a big lad who can play the hold up game when called upon. However he prefers to slink back into the attack, get the ball, and take a run at players with his great dribbling skill. With a cracker for a shot, he's been known to pepper the goal from even forty-five yards away, though accuracy of those shots can sometimes be a problem.

Kandorese National Team

The Red Dragons

Image

Image

The Home and the Away Kit for the Kandorese National Team.

Style Modifier: +3
Formation: Adaptive 4-1-2-1-2 (4-4-2 Diamond)

The style is based on quick and continues passing, working towards quick runs on the flanks and the centre. While defensive on the flanks, the formation focusses on quick attacks and especially counter attacks. The defence plays a tight line, that barely budges, but pushes the ball into the midfield, where the majority of the Kandorese football is played.

Coaching Staff

Xíanjí Hatema

Age: 59
Xíanjí is most well known to be one of Nagato Goya's best scoring and most capped players in football history.
He is known as a compassionate but highly disciplined coach. He knows no defeat and strives for perfection within his team, especially on the world stage.
With three World Cups in charge, he surely is the most experienced national team coach for the Kandorese and the only coach to lead a successful qualifying campaign before being eliminated in the 67th world cup

Huangzhou Yu

Age: 30
Fresh from Xiangzhou Sapphire's field, the assistant coach looks promising according to the critics and Xíangjí Hatema. He started his career as coach with a local team and fought his way up to the major domestic league of Kandorith. He has shown to be calm and understanding, making him the perfect candidate as assistant coach for the national team.

Starting XI

Defence

Goalkeeper

Huajian Kanzo

Age: 22
Length: 196CM
This young goalie started his career at the Jinhuan Wings, to be bought by Nagato Goya.
Witha flawless record between the post for two seasons now.
Huajian is well on his way of becoming a hall of fame goalkeeper, being a great one-on-one defender as a great free kick and corner kick interceptor.

Defence

Kahua Jin

Age: 22
Length: 185CM
Another young gun from Jiexie, he is the captain of the defence; always aware of situations and quick to step in towards any incoming attack.
He is known for his robust but fair tackles; never taking his eye off the ball.

Jin Zexi

Age: 25
Length: 178CM
Known for his quick tackles and saving headers;
this agile defender is a tough one to run away from.
He only has one goal: regaining possession and passing the ball around as quick as possible.

Mitsuharu Eri

Age: 24
Length: 176CM
Mitsuharu, a true defender. He is the man for the pass and the crosses, the tactical link between and in-between the midfield.
He is a great supportive player and a quick runner, with an eye for quick passes or crosses trough the midfield.

Midfield

Miraki Nakamura

Age: 23
Length: 190CM
Miraki Nakamura, the "star" defender of Xianghzou Sapphires.
With his length, sturdiness and great heading abilities he is sure to give strikers who are receiving the ball or are trying to make a run for it a hard time.
Even though he is quite sturdy; Miraki does not lack in speed at all, being an agile and fast player.

JieJie

Age: 25
Length: 177CM
Passer, runner and assists; JieJie, another star from Nagato Goya.
He has made his début 3 years ago and has shown many coaches he is the man for the midfield passing and chance creating.
With tactical insight and almost unmatchable running speed he is the winger and the attacking midfielder.

Taiji Moto

Age: 27
Length: 181CM
The Captain, El Commandante, and the elder; Taiji Moto the captain of the Kandorese National Team and the Captain of Nagato Goya.
Experienced, ferocious and quick. He plays mostly defensive but when he sees a goal scoring opportunity or the chance for an assist he won't hold back.
He is one of the links of the chain,to keep that ball passing and keep possession, while steering the team towards a goal.

Kawashi Akira

Age: 23
Length: 176CM
Akira, a true offensive midfielder and a chance creator.
He runs with agility and speed trying to pry himself trough the lines of the opponents.
He is known for amazing shots on goal and free kicks, without any fear of trying to creep a long shot effort into the nettings.

Atasuki Eguchi

Age: 24
Length: 176CM
The true winger of the team, always scanning the sideline; waiting for that pass to push it forward and create a goal chance.
He is a fast and agile runner with great crossing ability.
His most notable love of the game, is giving defenders a hard time by running and crossing when they least expect it.

Strikers

Iichi Fuji

Age: 24
Length: 182CM
The "support" striker. Iichi is the main assist and header in front of goal; his headers are precise, fast and dangerous;
just like this man when he has the ball in front of goal.
He does not aim for the goal, he is the main passer when the 6 yard box gets hot.
A real dribbler and trick passer, leaving the scoring to his fellow strikers or attacking midfielder.

Méng Zeijí

Age: 22
Length: 181CM
The current star of Kandorese football.
This youngster has made his name as goal cannon, never passing the oppertunity to score and when he does see the chance; the ball flies in like a guided projectile.
Also agile and a real dribbler, he loves to run circles around the defence and rocket the ball into a tight corner.
Méng is accurate, calm and controlled, which made him the current top scorer of the Kandorese league.

Originally designed as a multi-purpose Olympic stadium, it was bought by the management of the Nagato Goya soccer team. NEW SIDEBURN
Preferred Formation:
4-4-2 diamond
Secondary Formation: 4-4-1-1
Style Modifier: 0
Playstyle: Low on possession, but high on pressure, with fast play and short passing. Extremely physical, but will never dive, go to ground easily, or intentionally handball.
Home Stadium: The Farham Arena in Sabrefell. Capacity of 88,000, no attached club.
Kit Supplier: Kirola
Nickname: The Cormorants

After completing his desire to take New Sideburn to the World Cup, Gethin Ramsey announced his intention to leave the national team squad, pursuing the offer of the Licentian FA. The fans accepted this, but somewhat more of a surprise was his insistence on his replacement - Jess Mortlock, who had been the unfortunate scapegoat of a gradually weakening Crisisbless. Nonetheless, the terms in Ramsey's contract stipulated he could select his own successor, and Mortlock had been Ramsey's assistant for two years.

Jess Mortlock's career in the hot seat has gotten off to an ignominious start. Currently her record in major competitions sits at one game and one defeat - stunned by Old Guard in the first round proper of the Campionato Esportiva. But that was a minor blip - and you can't ultimately blame a manager for a single defeat, particularly in a Campionato with many other scalps to claim. For now, the Sideburnese look to the future.

Colours
New Sideburn play in green and black, the colours of the flag that have always been associated with the nation as a whole. Black shorts and green socks are traditional. Terracotta replaces the green in the away kit, being held in the nation as a lucky colour and always having an association with the national side. Both goalkeeper kits are one colour from shirts to socks - dark indigo with green trim, and orange with terracotta.

Overall Record
85 wins - 21 draws - 30 losses
260 scored - 170 conceded

Honours
Champions of the 51st Baptism of Fire, Campionato Esportiva VI and VIII and Market Cup VI.
Qualified for World Cup 67.

First Team
ImageImage
Most RPs will list the next game's formation. By default, however, the diamond faces lower-ranked teams on KPB with 4-4-1-1 favoured against stronger teams, or similar-ranked ones away.
The diamond is the classic Sideburnese formation, four strong midfielders aiming to press the ball and limit passing options - the overlapping full-backs create most wing chances, but the majority of attacks are down the centre. The 4-4-1-1 is more defensive in nature, and generally accompanied by a counter-attacking mindset to be a match for stronger opponents.

Jess MORTLOCK - 46
Manager

Jess Mortlock was Ramsey's second of three assistant managers, and the first Ramsey actually liked - she left the nest to take control of Crisisbless, and was the unfortunate recipient of a team in clear decline. Her goal was to keep the team in the top eight and playing good football, which she managed, and her sheer personality and force of will kept her from becoming a scapegoat. These are evidently the qualities Ramsey respected most, as proven by her surprise appointment to be his successor. Like at Crisisbless, she has a hell of a legacy to live up to... but unlike at Crisisbless, she has the tools at her disposal to go beyond it.

Darryl BOYDEN - 53
Assistant Manager

Boyden, whose short and chequered managerial career has been plagued with bad luck and debt, took the job basically because it couldn't possibly be worse than working with Vermillion. He's proven himself in the hot seat so far, and appears to be growing fond of the job - a surprise, to most people who know the rather irritable man.
When Mortlock took the job, Boyden surprised many by accepting the role of assistant. When asked why he was seemingly writing off his career as a full manager, Boyden simply replied, "I'm tired of the spotlight. Just fucking leave it, yeah?"

Auburn BYWATER - 28
Whip

Hired by Gethin Ramsey in the 66 Cycle, one of the express terms set out by Ramsey upon his departure from the national side was that Bywater be kept on as whip. It's an unusual role at which the young former journalist excels - putting a bit of stick about until the players stand in line properly.
1 - Kieron RIORDAN - 31 - Wrexton FC (APX)
37 caps, 15 clean sheets

Riordan is a well-rounded and experienced goalkeeper, and has proven a worthy successor to Portia Thrift. He may lack his predecessor's positioning and handling, but he makes up for it with agility that hasn't diminished with age, and an ability to distribute from the back that creates a surprising number of opportunities. He's good with his feet, too - a rare trait in a Sideburnese keeper, who usually just learns how to hoof the ball upfield on his first touch.

12 - Tana COLBRIGHT - 26 - Brinemouth
8 caps, 2 clean sheets

Colbright is an expert shot-stopper, and did not flinch from the spotlight with Brinemouth. Apart from a little more composure coming off her line, there's little else you could ask of her. She impressed in her national performances to date, too - she was used in the Confederations Cup, and despite failing to keep a clean sheet did pull off several impressive saves. Still not a candidate to displace Riordan just yet.

20 - Asger THRACE - 26 - Violence Chariots
Uncapped

Asger 'Yolo' Thrace describes himself as a man who lives for the moment - a boast reflected in his performances so far. He's always been one for clutch performances - one of the best goalkeeping performances of the entire league in the Cup final lead his former club, Parrhesia, to victory, and a stunning season with the Chariots brought them to 3rd, where he unseated former Brenecian no. 1 Felix Carrick. His bravery is second to none, and he's also remarkably good at distribution, or with his feet generally. A fine shot-stopper as well.
2 - Anna SHRIKE - 32 - Mâ Âlâmëómë (FFD)
Right-back
112 caps, 4 goals

Shrike has only improved with age, as experience has made her a far stronger player mentally. She's a BoF veteran, but nearly unrecognisable to the reckless player back then. Currently, she's New Sideburn's most-capped player, and offers depth at right midfield as well. Still, this will likely be her last world cup - never the fittest player, it's surprised most that she's lasted this long mostly intact.

3 - Tosca MARLOWE - 25 - AFC Treason
Centre-back
33 caps, 0 goals

Young Tosca Marlowe has had an eventful career so far - 30 caps after an impressive career with AFC Shale through First Division, then Premiership. Arguably the best centre-back in the league, and she'll only get better with age. As the number 3, Marlowe's expected to play more advanced than her partner (likely Finnan), and she excels in the role - relishing the chance to get the ball at her feet. Less physical, but her finesse with tackles is second to none, and she has the rare ability of reliably getting away with sliding challenges.

4 - Cathy STOKES (c) - 29 - AFC Treason
Left-back
94 caps, 2 goals

Though then usually a substitute, Cath Stokes has been here since the very beginning, one of the youngest players in the BoF-winning squad. Since her stint as the number 22, she's secured her place in the first-team, been a star for her club as they won back-to-back titles, had a series of increasingly surreal dreams, slept with Konrad Evans, broke up with Konrad Evans and became captain. A very good all-around left-back, whether going forward or marking back.

5 - Karl FINNAN - 29 - Crisisbless
Centre-back
20 caps, 1 goal

Centre-back has tended to be a problem position for New Sideburn, each coming with their own problems. Strongnesse was old, Harm was reckless, Yorke was unexceptional and Belfast was inconsistent. Finnan, however, seems to solve most of these issues - a solid, straightforward defender, in the prime of his career. A classic Sideburnese number 5 - and his legend is secure after literally concussing himself to score a header against the Licentian Isles.

13 - Amanda CLOUGH - 24 - Brinemouth
Left-back
1 caps, 0 goals

The unremarkable Clough, who had been capped at the U-21 level during her time at Corvette, seemed an unlikely choice to join star-studded Brinemouth - but her first season proved her a natural fit for Larissa Garotte's fluid, naturalistic playstyle. Primarily defensive-minded, but her attacking play has come in leaps and bounds since her move to the Dockers.

17 - James YORKE - 28 - Sabrefell Moths
Centre-back
51 caps, 1 goal

When Asger Stubbs took over the Moths during what can optimistically be described as a transitional period, there were two players in particular that benefited hugely from the focus on no-nonsense, straightforward defence. The centre-backs, Yorke and Brenecian Clint Gallagher, soon became among the most ruthless and uncompromising pairing in the league - Yorke seems totally revitalised since the days of being compromised by an aggressive focus, and his promise finally appears to be realised. A composed and very intelligent player.

19 - James SLEET - 27 - AC Tallin (VAL)
Right-back
18 caps, 0 goals

Young, lean and handsome, the platinum blond 'Snowy' Sleet is another of the new breed; young, quick and playing abroad. A graduate of the much-acclaimed Eastflood academy, Sleet's still developing his attacking play but shuts down wingers with ease; a complementary figure to the wild Anna Shrike. Also of note, Sleet is the first male full-back to be selected for a full NSB WCC squad.
6 - Michael BRANDON - 27 - Directus (EUR)
Defensive Midfielder
45 caps, 2 goals

Even at 20, people could see something special in Brandon. They were proven right, after a dynamic move to the Euraleague. He's a classic Sideburnese number six, but at a very high level indeed, preferring to sit just in front of the defence and make play from there. He's also noted for his intensely professional and mercenary attitude towards the game.
Brandon has often been stated as the keystone of the team - like Lucia Oakwood before him, he's the anchor in midfield and the source of most build-up play. And the fact remains - Crowe and Byron are more than competent, but an injury to Brandon would cripple the team.

8 - Catheline HARPER - 29 - AFC Treason
Right Midfielder
39 caps, 6 goals

As the chant goes; "She's hard, she's great! She fucked the Head of State!" Already a talented and dedicated player, an interview in which outgoing Margravine Rachael Kilgallon reluctantly confirmed rumours of a brief fling while Harper was in university has turned Harper's crowd magnetism into soundbite form. A strong physical presence, heavily tattooed along her arms and with boundless energy, Harper's a classic Sideburnese midfielder, and her eye for goal is more than most people have tended to associate with her. She's a jack-of-all-trades, however, and is versatile enough for any situation her endless running lands her in.

10 - Dale BRIGHTLEY - 30 - Basin Plain (UGO)
Attacking Midfielder
97 caps, 34 goals

Brightley now holds the remarkable record of being the first Sideburnese to score in the World Cup - it could hardly have been against a more prestigious opponent, either, equalising against Polar Islandstates (who of course went on to be champions). The Baptism of Fire veteran is key to the Sideburnese attacks - their first, and arguably still greatest, world-class player, possessed of a keen eye for goal and forward passing, and a particular ruthlessness in front of goal.

11 - Gareth CROWLEY - 27 - Abingdon Celtic (TLI)
Left Midfielder
45 caps, 7 goals

Crowley's often put forward as the classic number 11 - the Sideburnese style, that is, the kind that shoves past full-backs, cuts inside when he has to, runs tirelessly and has a devilish left foot. Better still, he's far less of a prick than Cheney Rosewood was. Crowley is beloved of the Cormorant faithful, after a widely-publicised video of him loudly telling a journalist to fuck off while he ate dinner with his girlfriend, in the middle of a packed restaurant, and eventually picking a fight with the bouncers. And winning.

14 - Catherine SEDGWICK - 28 - North Laithland
Attacking Midfielder
7 caps, 2 goals

Sedgwick has something of a reputation as an airhead. She's not stupid by any means, but she does tend to space out a lot, forgets her train of thought and speaks quietly with large, downcast eyes. This bears no resemblance to her ability on the pitch, where she rips open defences with forward passes and strikes for the top corner whenever there's half an opening.

16 - Michael KEANE - 25 - Maximum City
Right Midfielder
2 caps, 0 goals

Mid-twenties, with a scrapper's personality and a talent for bombing forward, Keane is possessed of extreme pace and stamina, and a persistant nature that finds him pursuing every ball and flinging himself into every challenge. Technically adept, with a gift for incisive passing and more than a physical match for most wingers and fullbacks.

18 - Andrea CROWE - 27 - Mardi Loppunies (NSI)
Central Midfielder
1 cap, 0 goals

It's telling that when Crowe left Dubstep, the team collapsed in her absence. It's a remarkably similar story to Konrad Evans, now the team's number 9. A more adventurous central midfielder, Crowe's role will be to partner Brandon in central midfield in the 4-4-1-1; Byron is the straight swap in the diamond, more used to sitting back while a creative partner makes play.

22 - Jess LEINSTER - 23 - Violence Chariots
Left Midfielder
3 cap, 0 goals

Leinster was already in the sights of the national team when Violence could only compete for the top four for the first half of every season - when the Chariots made their way to third, Leinster was a natural choice to keep the role. She tends to sit on the ball before dashing forward into space and laying the ball across into the box - doesn't score many herself, but more than makes up for it with her ability to create chances for others.

23 - Logan BYRON - 30 - AFC Treason
Defensive Midfielder
1 cap, 0 goals

Half-Licentian, Byron's role more than matches his ethnic stereotypes. Treason's midfield may be able to call upon the creative talent of Saintlander Josephus Flaccus, but he can only move forward with the feeling of safety from having Byron holding the line behind him. Just 5'7", Byron just shrugs when his height is brought up; 'better for sliding in.'
7 - Gerhard THUNDER - 35 - Astograth University (ASG)
Striker
106 caps, 56 goals

New Sideburn's top scorer, bearer of the number 7 since the Baptism of Fire, target man extraordinaire and all-around Big Lad. 6'6", 211 lbs and three Iron Boots to his name, Thunder's a towering presence on the penalty area, and intimidating for any defender to deal with; moreover, he's skilled with the ball and strong with his head and his feet - he's excellent defensively, too, putting pressure on defenders in possession. The complete straightforward target man.
This will be Big Gerd's last World Cup, and probably last major tournament. But he's still got a vicious instinct nobody else on the team can match, and his role is far more than symbolic - after all, he was the second Sideburnese player to score in the World Cup, putting a winner past Antoletia at the age of 33.

9 - Konrad EVANS - 28 - Gortz United (AST)
Striker
25 caps, 12 goals

Evans, at 28, often makes people think he's younger than he is. His abilities lie primarily in technique, pace and a superb left boot, and while short by Sideburnese striker standards (just 5'11") his finesse in possession makes him a terror for defenders to deal with, and often draws fouls. Legitimate, 'you tried to kick my shins out from under me' penalties, too - not just falling over when someone breathes on you.

15 - Rook CATHAR - 25 - East Franz Athletic (PIS)
Striker
7 caps, 4 goals

Cathar was always going to come good in a generic sense, but it's only recently he's been on fire. Largely two-footed, tall, strong, and industrious - Cathar has often been described as 'Gerd Thunder, but with pace'. It's not a perfect analogy - Cathar is less of a physical presence (like basically everyone), less experienced and less inclined to pressure defenders, but when it comes to smashing goals in he's unmatched. A truly world-class striker to lead the line for New Sideburn; exactly what the side needs.

21 - Cheney BITTENCOURT - 25 - AFC Treason
Striker
12 caps, 7 goals

A technical and fast player who has developed significantly as a player in the past couple of years - gifted with the ball at his feet, Bittencourt relishes the chance to take defenders on and move past them into threatening positions. While he hasn't developed into any more of an aerial threat, he can be counted upon to shred defences and finish low shots with confidence.

1 - Kieron Riordan (Wrexton FC, APX)
12 - Tana Colbright (Brinemouth)
20 - Asger Thrace (Violence Chariots)

2 - Anna Shrike (Mâ Âlâmëómë, FFD)
3 - Tosca Marlowe (AFC Treason)
4 - Cathy Stokes (AFC Treason, c)
5 - Karl Finnan (Crisisbless)
13 - Amanda Clough (Brinemouth)
17 - James Yorke (Sabrefell Moths)
19 - James Sleet (AC Tallin, VAL)

6 - Michael Brandon (Directus, EUR, 3c)
8 - Catheline Harper (AFC Treason)
10 - Dale Brightley (Basin Plain, UGO)
11 - Gareth Crowley (Abingdon Celtic, TLI)
14 - Catherine Sedgwick (North Laithland)
16 - Michael Keane (Maximum City)
18 - Andrea Crowe (Mardi Lopunnies, NSI)
22 - Jess Leinster (Violence Chariots)
23 - Logan Byron (AFC Treason)

7 - Gerhard Thunder (Astograth University, AST, vc)
9 - Konrad Evans (Gortz United, AST)
15 - Rook Cathar (East Franz Athletic, PIS)
21 - Cheney Bittencourt (AFC Treason)
In the event of injury or suspension, these players will fill in for the above players - however, assuming a clean bill of health, they will be cut for the WC/CoH squads.

24 - Diandra Ballard (Crisisbless) - GK
25 - Gareth Pearce (North Laithland) - CB
26 - Leila Corvette (Maximum City) - LB
27 - Kylie Penrith (Flying Jellyfish, FFD) - RM
28 - Uli Alsatian (FC Torshavn, PIS) - CM
29 - Rutger Connacht (AFC Treason) - LM
30 - Croft Drinkwater (Violence Chariots) - CF

The old ways were best!

Original nation behind Nephara. New Sideburn now symbolises an ideal, rather than a nation.

BRENECIA
Preferred Formation:
4-4-2
Style Modifier: -1
Playstyle: Similar to New Sideburn in the physical element - playing quick and direct and low on possession. Strong spine, good on the counter. Seemingly indestructible at home.
Home Stadium: Kingsgarden - recently refurbished, a 58,000 all-seater in the capital of Rozelle.
Kit Supplier: Kirola
Nickname: the Patriots

After nearly qualifying for the World Cup playoffs, Brenecia now sit 71st in the world and have a lot of good to build on after the CE. While they failed to qualify for the CE itself after a disappointing playoff defeat to Estope, they still had four clean sheets (including 1-0 home wins over Buyan and the Licentian Isles) and continued to be unbeaten at home. The only issue is in front of goal - if they can start hammering in goals again, Brenecia might just get even closer to qualification this time around.

Colours
Brenecia play in navy blue shirts and shorts with white socks - away kits used to be all-white, but a recent change to the design has seen white and sky blue stripes on the shirts.

Overall Record
33 wins - 16 draws - 35 losses
115 scored - 125 conceded

Jon SLATESAVER - 59
Manager

Slatesaver isn't one for big speeches, but he marries remarkable tactical nous with an instinct for man-management. His authority in the dressing-room is unmistakable and untouchable, and after the heavily-criticised reign of Blake Lawless and Clint Hemingway's run marred by factional infighting (and poor results), Slatesaver brings some dearly-needed stability to the national team. Under his rule, defensive security and an ability to stop teams from playing the way they want is what has defined the Patriots' play - it's not pretty, but as teams like Sicoutimont, the Licentian Isles and Valanora found out to their surprise, it can be remarkably effective.

Vance STERLING - 40
Assistant Manager

Sterling has never been one for the spotlight; he's been supporting staff for fifteen years, a full-fledged assistant for eight, as what doctors described as a 'totally fucked' hamstring ended his career at nineteen years old. A Hemingway supporter, but when he fell, took it upon himself to manage the team - a win against Barunia made it an easy decision for Slatesaver to keep him on as assistant.
1 - Franca CONNELL - 33 (3c) - Sabrefell Moths (NSB)
35 caps, 19 clean sheets

Connell is a shot-stopper, through and through - she's no sweeper-keeper, favouring the Sideburnese tradition of 'when in doubt, hoof it out', but that just means she's not inclined to scuff passes or overcomplicate things. When she has the ball at her feet, she smacks it long. When someone's through on goal, she lunges for the ball at their feet. And when there's a shot, Connell will throw herself at it, no matter who or what is in her way. It's proven more than effective.

16 - Stephen MANSFIELD - 36 - Suttonville (EUR)
23 caps, 7 clean sheets

Steve Mansfield boasts the honour of being the Brenecian player in the highest-ranked league of any of his countrymen. It's a somewhat dubious honour given the circumstances - a panic buy for Suttonville, they went on to lose 25 from 38, concede 95 goals, get nailed to the foot of the table the entire season and are still in the Silver League to date. But he's still a fine goalkeeper, with a desire to still be playing in his early 40s, and he's a fan favourite for his stalwart demeanour.

23 - Jayce PENCE - 25 - North Laithland (NSB)
2 caps, 0 clean sheets

An acrobatic goalkeeper whose skills in distribution contribute frequently to her club's attacks. She's yet to get her chance for the national side, but to Pence there is absolutely no doubt that her time will come. For now she sits as third-choice, but waits for her chance to come - the fact that she's eight and eleven years younger than her competition means time is very definitely on her side.
2 - Samantha ALLBECK (vc) - 29 - AFC Treason (NSB)
Right-back
83 caps, 3 goals

One of Brenecia's best-ever players, Allbeck may well reach a hundred caps. Her tenacity and awareness in defence means she doesn't compromise the wing when going forward in attack, where her speed, ball control and ability with crosses are a significant asset. Exactly the sort of box-to-box player Slatesaver desires most in his teams - it's no surprise she was one of his signings at Treason, and remains at New Sideburn's strongest club today.

3 - Magda CHARTREUSE - 28 - North Laithland (NSB)
Left-back
46 caps, 0 goals

Young, promising, very short, with a shock of strawberry blonde hair and a swarm of freckles, you'll know Chartreuse when you see her. But she's very good on the wings, with an enviable expertise of short passing, and you can rely on her tracking back when needed; her positioning's impeccable. The only concern people have with her is what will happen if she's injured - no other left-back in Brenecia comes close to her experience in a strong league.

4 - Seth GREIG - 28 - Crisisbless (NSB)
Centre-back
2 caps, 0 goals

It was a surprise to see Mark Graves dropped from the team entirely, but with the resurgence of Greig and Gallagher there was simply too much competition to go around. Greig is that most special and cherished of centre-backs; exceptionally spiteful. Prefers to go forward up the field and challenge players compared to the more stoic, solid presence of Gareth Mortlock - also far more of a physical, aerial presence than the 5'9" Graves.

5 - Gareth MORTLOCK - 30 - Green Star (TJN)
Centre-back
42 caps, 1 goal

A centre-back of the 'immovable object' archetype, though he has an eye for goal during set pieces. His lack of pace or skill on the ball is offset by his positioning, and he's good at managing fair challenges. But he's the sort of player that can mark someone right out of the game, without simply fouling them to pieces.

12 - Clara DRUMMOND - 28 - South Laithland (NSB)
Centre-back
36 caps, 0 goals

Drummond was a colossus at the back for the Southrons in their greatest-ever season, helping them to come fifth with her tenacity and bravery. A more than solid centre-back in all aspects, and one without any real flaws.
In the main squad on a rotation basis, Drummond has always accepted the post with good grace, professionalism that the fans appreciate.

17 - Shay BLACKWOOD - 30 - Crisisbless (NSB)
Right-back
12 caps, 0 goals

A tall, dark, handsome wingback, Blackwood was certainly not an attempt to replace like-with-like. The outgoing Anna Shrike was quick and ruthless in attack, while the more laid-back Blackwood is a rock against wingers and prefers to advance slowly and cautiously. Either way, he's more than ready for the squad; his only problem is having Allbeck to compete with.
Blackwood's not getting any younger, but he's kept his pace, and all of his skill. He will make for a solid backup.

18 - Clint GALLAGHER - 29 - Sabrefell Moths (NSB)
Centre-back
1 cap, 0 goals

Always on the fringes of the national team, Gallagher has benefited immensely from the defensive focus of the Moths' new manager, club and country legend Asger Stubbs - much like his defensive partner Yorke, who has also earned an international callup. A straightforward sort of defender who stops opponents dead in their tracks, but also has a keen intelligence when it comes to positioning and zonal marking.

22 - Constantine BOWYER - 22 - Cranequin Wanderers (NSB)
Left-back
5 caps, 0 goals

Don't mistake Bowyer's youth for raw inexperience - Bowyer's a complete full-back, excelling in all areas of play, and scouts are very excited by his prospect. He's already proven himself capable of cutting it in the Premiership in his first season, and will doubtless only get better as time goes on. Not necessarily an ideal backup for the present, but practically certain to start in the near future.
6 - Fiona SYLVER (c) - 33 - Violence Chariots (NSB)
Defensive Midfielder
63 caps, 2 goals

Sylver may be small and wiry, but as a playmaker there's no substitute. She tends to stick to her position; this is a team that will likely build its centre around her rhythm, she can afford to sit back and pull the strings. Under Slatesaver, Sylver retains the captaincy - she thrived in a partnership with Althea Chenoweth, and will likely continue to do so in the new formation.
Captain, and generally considered indispensable - the Patriots faithful will hope Erin Camden can live up to her example

7 - Steed RAYNOR - 27 - Vermillion Rage (NSB)
Right Midfielder
24 caps, 4 goals

Raynor is a strong winger with a hard shot - his relative goal drought is surprising to most. What the player lacks in finesse of technique, he makes up for mentally and physically. He'll often say that he had no talent, and everything he's attained has been through hard work - this, however, sells short his remarkable eye for goal. Excels at the sort of low, lashing cross defenders struggle to get out of the way of.

8 - Althea CHENOWETH - 30 - Western Orcas (BAR)
Defensive Midfielder
41 caps, 0 goals

A relentless marker and harrier, Chenoweth has the stamina of a bull, and her mental agility far outstrips her physical pace. More a straightforward anchor than a deep playmaker, Chenoweth can nevertheless find herself running box-to-box when she's needed to, and her rarely-seen long shots boast a remarkable power. With Brenecia, however, she's excelled in a more conservative role, checking runs and stopping the flow of the opponents' play.

11 - Miriam SPITFIRE - 28 - FC Brimstone (APX)
Left Midfielder
66 caps, 11 goals

One of the few remaining veterans of the BoF team, Spitfire's main asset is her vicious left boot - she prides herself on an ability to beat goalkeepers at their near post, as well as a natural aptitude for crossing. Her career seemed to be going nowhere until her second year at FC Brimstone, given a lifeline from relegation, revitalised her - and she's blossomed under Slatesaver for country.

13 - Rook ASQUITH - 28 - Sabrefell Moths (NSB)
Left Midfielder
18 caps, 3 goals

Asquith has done well in the Premiership, but faces an uphill struggle to reclaim his place in the starting XI on Spitfire's current form. A powerful, physical player, utterly committed to win the ball and decent tracking back. Converted from winger to straightforward side midfielder, the offensive nature of the position has stuck with him, but he's been retrained to defend as much - and nearly as well - as he attacks.

15 - Erin CAMDEN - 24 - Parrhesia United (NSB)
Central Midfielder
8 caps, 1 goal

Camden has been learning to create play from deep lately, and it's added real dimension to her ability as a footballer. But she still boasts a wicked shot from distance, and her skill with either foot means she'll be guaranteed to take any direct free kick she's on the field for.

19 - Daniel SNOWDEN - 27 - Maximum Rovers (NSB)
Right Midfielder
6 caps, 1 goal

An energetic, pacy midfielder, Snowden seemed a little raw earlier in his career but is currently a far more developed player. Creates more chances than he converts, but he has an eye for putting crosses in at the far post for a lurking striker. All that's missing is the defensive ability to match his attacking flair, and even that's not for lack of trying.

20 - Carla GUILDER - 29 - Maximum City (NSB)
Central Midfielder
2 caps, 0 goals

It had seemed like Guilder's career with City was approaching a nadir - forced to request a transfer due to lack of playing time, and Brunet refused outright. She kept quiet about it, and simply determined herself to keep playing at her best - she was rewarded by a place in the starting XI for most of 334. Always a strong, capable, tough midfield anchor, she's been in amazing form lately, and specialises in firm-but-fair challenges that leave the targets sprawling but without claim to a free kick.
9 - Brad KUEPPER - 30 - Altomare (FEL)
Striker
65 caps, 31 goals

Kuepper arrived in the national team as the emergency replacement for the injured Edmund Pike. His form in the dark blue shirt has launched his career, performing strongly at Sabrefell Moths for a season before moving onto Felix. His strengths are athleticism, ball control, pace and finishing - in other words, the complete centre-forward, though not outstanding in any one category.
His form for country has dried up a little, but to be fair to him the team has made fairly cagey performances - fresh off winning the Felix Golden Boot and Ball (sharing the awards with Rios and Nuremburg, to be fair), he hopes to take that form with him and push Brenecia into the playoffs.

10 - Gareth FARRELL - 31 - Crisisbless (NSB)
Striker
32 caps, 11 goals

An energetic centre-forward, Farrell's rugged good looks and classical heroic build point to a strong, physical, athletic playstyle that allows him to muscle through defenders like they weren't even there. He's the kind of striker who specialises at holding up play for those around him, but he's certainly capable of using his raw strength to brush past defenders and get goals himself.

14 - Tanith BRYSON - 24 - Chatswood (NSB)
Striker
11 caps, 3 goals

Bryson's skills lend herself into the role of a technically gifted striker, whose pace gets her into great positions she can usually be relied to score from. This makes her exactly the kind of consistent goal threat the fairly dry Patriots have needed lately - give her an inch, and she'll make you pay.

21 - Cheney BELCONNEN - 23 - Racing Xinghua Baoyam (TRB)
Striker
4 caps, 0 goals

The hard-hitting forward who so often lead Marque to glory in his youth, Belconnen's departure was perhaps seen as inevitable. Still, it's lead to his recall for the national side. A strong, firm aerial presence with an innate ability to unsettle and outmuscle defenders despite his lean frame, Belconnen's energy makes him the perfect set of fresh legs near the end of a big match.

1 - Franca Connell (Sabrefell Moths, NSB, 3c)
16 - Stephen Mansfield (Suttonville, EUR)
23 - Jayce Pence (North Laithland, NSB)

2 - Samantha Allbeck (AFC Treason, NSB, vc)
3 - Magda Chartreuse (North Laithland, NSB)
4 - Seth Greig (Crisisbless, NSB)
5 - Gareth Mortlock (Green Star, TJN)
12 - Clara Drummond (South Laithland, NSB)
17 - Shay Blackwood (Crisisbless, NSB)
18 - Clint Gallagher (Sabrefell Moths, NSB)
22 - Constantine Bowyer (Cranequin Wanderers, NSB)

6 - Fiona Sylver (Violence Chariots, NSB, c)
7 - Steed Raynor (Vermillion Rage, NSB)
8 - Althea Chenoweth (Western Orcas, BAR)
11 - Miriam Spitfire (FC Brimstone, APX)
13 - Rook Asquith (Sabrefell Moths, NSB)
15 - Erin Camden (Parrhesia United, NSB)
19 - Daniel Snowden (Maximum Rovers, NSB)
20 - Carla Guilder (Maximum City, NSB)

9 - Brad Kuepper (Altomare, FEL)
10 - Gareth Farrell (Crisisbless, NSB)
14 - Tanith Bryson (Chatswood, NSB)
21 - Cheney Belconnen (Racing Xinghua Baoyam, TRB)
In the event of injury or suspension, these players will fill in for the above players - however, assuming a clean bill of health, they will be cut for the WC/CoH squads.

24 - Paul Rothner (Cranequin Wanderers, NSB) - GK
25 - Deuce Keller (Parrhesia United, NSB) - RB
26 - Rhea Lockhart (Northern Union) - LB
27 - Isadora Cullen (Kingsgrove) - RM
28 - Augustine Breton (Brinemouth, NSB) - CM

Annarian Football Association (AFA)
Nickname: The Nerds

Goalkeepers:

J. Teatime: Jonathon Teatime (Te-ah-ta-meh) was born in Lohikäärme City, in the northern reaches of Annar. He became a football player of some renown, until he lost one of his eyes in a freak accident. He replaced it with a false, glass, one, and it was thought that he would never play again due to a lack of depth perception. it was "thought" incorrectly. He trained for several years, until he was as good as before, and now he again plays for our team.

A. Tailor: Arthur Tailor is our second string goalkeeper, being not quite as good as Teatime. He is still an excellent keeper. Arthur lives with his family in the countryside of Annar, working as a farmer in his time off.

Defenders:

M. Scott: Matthew Scott is one of our starting central defenders. He was born to Annarian parents who were living in another country, but has since moved back. He is a lawyer in real life, and all to often overzealous fans have found themselves being expertly prosecuted by a player they had mocked. He is of course completely impartial.

W. Door: William (Bill) Door is our other central defender. No one knows very much about him, but he can certainly play football. He says he is a farmer, if pressed.

R. Giles: Renard Giles is our acclaimed starting right defender. He is getting on slightly in years, but he is still the best right defender we've got. He's normally a librarian.

J. Marvin: Jack Marvin is our starting left defender. He is known for extreme paranoia, and often gets "injured" from very normal plays. He also takes dives. He is a good player otherwise. He has thankfully recovered enough from his injury in the BoF to play in the World Cup

Q. Trent: Our backup left back, Quinten Trent is very new player. He wants to prove himself. He will probably have some chances. Marvin will most likely get injured.

Z. McIntyre: Zachary McIntyre is our back up right defender. He seems to be very ambitious.

T. McClain: Tristan McClain is one of our back up center backs. He doesn't always show up to games, and is thought of as a Ne'er-do-well. He's a pretty fair tackler, though.

J. Jameson: John Jameson is a pretty average guy, off the pitch and on it. He hasn't distinguished himself yet. He plays center back.

Midfielders:

J. Rincewind: Jeremy Rincewind is a really really fast runner. He also has a knack for avoiding defenders. He is kind of scared of getting tackled. Or touched. Or even having the ball. He plays right midfield.

K. Miller: Kalnt Miller is a very good center midfielder. He has an unfortunate tendency to bark at the other players.

A. Naismith: Archibald Naismith plays center mid. He is known for very risky and often overly vicious tackles. He does them well, however.

H. Lazarus: Hector Lazarus is our starting left-midfielder. He is known for tactical prowess, on and off the pitch. It is thought that one day he will coach a team.

W. Smith: Wesley Smith is our back-up right midfielder. He is known to be recklessly courageous, and is often caught in off-sides traps.

C. Farnon: Christopher Farnon is a second-string center-midfield. He is our top-scoring midfielder, but is also a bit cocky. and is loathe to part from the ball. He wanted to play striker, but could only find a position as midfielder.

J. Smith: Center midfielder. John Smith is thought not to be his real name.

P. Williamson: Peter Williamson is a excellent left midfielder, but he is very prone to mood swings, and only plays well on certain days.

Strikers:

J. Javert: Jacques Javert is a right striker. He is very conscientious of the rules, and hardly ever gets fouled. When he does, it is for arguing with the referee over calls.

S. Vimes: Samuel Vimes is an excellent left striker, who is the chief goal scorer of the Annarian side. He works with the police when he is not playing. He is the captain of the team, more often than not.

A. Dent: Taking over for Trymon Lamath, who was recently found guilty of the attempted murder of Jack Marvin. Albert Dent doesn't like to take
risks while playing, but is good at his job

G. Sorenson: George Sorenson is a left striker who is very skilled, but he is doesn't want to play football. He is unmotivated, but it is a way to earn money.

The Annarian government was very reluctant to fund the team, but was recently convinced that it could help their relations with other countries. It could send a sort of, "If you play ball with me I'll play ball with you," message. Or not. At least the side has a proper stadium now. Oighear Stadium is located in the Oighear mountain range. The pitch is often snow-covered, or at least sopping wet, and it gets very cold. It seats 30,000, not counting specialized seating areas for dragons and other non-humans. It is considered unpleasantly nationalistic to sing the national anthem before sports matches, so Bohemian Rhapsody, Taxi, or Yesterday are played instead.

Audioslavia is an ancient nation that celebrated the 11th anniversary of its OOC inception on December 17th 2013. The nation originally CTE'd in 2006, was revived briefly in 2007 and 2009, and enjoyed a proper resurgence at the start of 2012, locating itself in Atlantian Oceania indefinitely after IC centuries of rivalries with various nations in the region.

The Audioslavia national side participated in World Cups 4 to 29, made an abortive comeback in World Cup 37, and rejoined the world of international football properly back in World Cup 59. The ancient Audioslavia side qualified for all but one of the World Cups it entered (a young Audioslavia failed during the WC5 qualifying playoffs) and generally maintained a place in top twenty of the world rankings, peaking at #1 during the qualifying phases of World Cups 20 and 21.

Paradoxically, the national team has seen more success in its modern form - a period where quick success is much more difficult to achieve than in the early days. Whereas those early years yielded only the inaugural U21 World Cup and a string of losing finals in the World Cup proper, the modern team won the Baptism of Fire tournament before WC59 and triumphed in the thirty-fifth, thirty-eighth and thirty-ninth installments of the AOCAF Cup. The side have also reached the final of the AOCAF cup on three other occasions, and have reached as far as the semi-finals of the Cup of Harmony.

Modern Audioslavia finally won the World Cup itself in cycle 63, a victory that required a huge amount of luck and some very po-faced, negative football. Audioslavia managed to win the tournament despite going into the qualifiers with a ranking of #53 in the world. Four years later, in World Cup 64, the national side proved that this win, as fortunate as it was, was no flash in the pan when they again took home the World Cup trophy, completing the first ever 'double-double' of winning back-to-back AOCAF and World Cup championships.

Ten Things Audioslavia's football team are famous for:
1: The claret and green striped kits, complete with white pinstripe. They have been like this, with the odd exception, since World Cup 4.
2: Jeremy Jaffacake. The indescribable Jaffacake has been a satellite of the national team - both as sports journalist and member of the FFA - since World Cup 6. It is unwise to cross Jeremy Jaffacake. In fact, it's often unwise to even look at him. Jaffacake is arguably the most infamous character in the entirety of sports RPing. He's certainly the oldest.
3:Choking in major finals. Audioslavia were the record holders for losing the most amount of World Cup finals without a victory, having failed in WCs 12, 19, 20 and 29. The recent defeat in the WC67 final to Polar Islandstates.
4:Being almost unbeatable in semi-finals. Audioslavia's senior side have a scarily good record in the last four of any competition. Their record in major semi-finals currently stands at 13-2. The side suffered their maiden World Cup semi-final defeat in World Cup 66, ending a streak of six winning last-four appearances.
5: Off pitch entertainment: A fervent, yet well-behaved support. Audioslavia's fans are generally friendly, enjoy mixing with the locals and are partial to the odd litre of whisky. Not to mention the tabloid antics of one Jeremy Jaffacake.
6: On-pitch anti-entertainment. The Audioslavian national team have always played effective, if uninspiring football. The side are usually solid, with a cautious approach play and a willingness to hold on to possession rather than attempt anything too rash.
7: Building rivalries: Audioslavia count, and have counted, a lot of nations as their 'rivals'. They are, in order of healthiest to most hated: Lemmitania, Karditan, The Inevitable Syndicate, Legalese, New Montreal States, Halfassedstates, Iansisle, Vilita/Turori, Bedistan, Starblaydia, Squornshelous, Rejistania, Total n Utter Insanity, Krytenia U19s, Krytenia U21s, Krytenia 'C'. Krytenia 'B', Them.
8: Audioslavia have had, throughout their history, a disproportionate amount of wingers with names beginning with 'J'.
9: Audioslavia are the first and only team to have been eliminated from the group stage of a World Cup on penalties.
10: Audioslavia is home to Kirola Sportswear, the manufacturers of some of the more... avant garde football strip designs seen around the World Cup.

Audioslavian footballers tend to be a little on the small side compared to modern NS athletes. The average height for a goalkeeper is about 6'0, but centre-halves tend to top out at 5'11 and other outfielders rarely venture higher than 5'9. All of Audioslavia's players, throughout history, have been human and male. Our players tend to be fairly quick with a lot of stamina and physical fitness, and have enough technique to retain possession if needed. In general, however, our small-ish team tends to struggle against physical teams. Our goals usually come near the end of games as our high stamina wins through. The national side frequently employ players of Audioslavian citizenship/parentage but who are naturalised elsewhere. Current goalkeeper Kajaxo Imaslavii and striker Vucidini Zekani were born in Vilita and play their football over there, and a significant chunk of the squad have been taken from Starblaydi high-flyers Cedrus Soundgardia, a team based on Starblaydia's Cedrus Isle, a place with a high percentage of Audioslavian diaspora. Recently, the national side has used players born as far afield as Cafundeu, Taeshan, Turori and Krytenia. The amateur nature of Audioslavian football has traditionally meant that most of the NT squad - often all of it - play their football for overseas clubs, but the newly formed LigAnaia - a combined league of Audioslavian and Syndicatian teams - has enticed more home-grown talent to stay within Audioslavia's borders.

As for the current team, Arturo Hudson-Blake is the diminutive striker with some crisp finishing skills, supplied by a line of four attacking midfielders given creative freedom by a defensive midfielder who's job is mainly to hang back and cover the defence. Full-backs Tal and Polsson like to charge forward to join the attacks, but are given a tighter leash when Audioslavia play top opposition, while veteran goalkeeper Imaslavii is a star in the Vilitan leagues, currently first choice keeper at the famous Jungle Strike F.C.

Roleplaying permissions: We frown on god-modding if there isn't a sense of humour behind it. Everything else is fine. If you'd like to injure a few players or dish out red cards for a particularly harsh game, go right ahead, go hog wild. Want to injure the entire team in a bus-crash? Fine, but make it good, or suffer the humiliation of having your limbs scattered hither and thither via a blast from my mighty ignore-cannon.

Team Cosumar - World Cup 68

Basic Team Information

Nation: The Fiefdom of Cosumar
Nickname: Dragons
Colors: Blue and White

Stadium: Leviathan Arena
Capacity: 99,114
Location: Kaldukosk, Cosumar
Image

Experience: This will be Cosumar's 18th World Cup. Cosumar qualified and advanced past group stage for nine consecutive Cups (54-62) but has not qualified since then. Cosumar's best tournament runs were trips to the Round of 16 in World Cups 56, 57, 58 and 59. After World Cup 59, Cosumar reached its peak rank of #7 in the world. Since then however, our national team has gradually declined and dropped significantly in international rankings. In World Cup 68, Cosumar will be attempting to qualify for the World Cup for the first time since World Cup 62. Though our team may not be as prominent as it once was, the Dragons are not a team to be taken lightly.

Team: The roster consists of twenty players, eighteen of which are human (species homo sapiens). The remaining two are Vloo (species homo cosumarensis), a humanoid species native to Cosumar. This Cosumarite team features more of an emphasis on the experience of seasoned veterans than in previous years, rather than young talent.

More About Vloo: Please note that the Vloo, though not human, have no considerable physical advantage over human players. Minor differences are that the Vloo are slightly taller on average and must wear different cleats due to their unique foot structure. Vloo are nearly equal to humans in terms of strength and speed, but have a blue taint to their skin and two small, dull horns on the top of their head. Most Vloo's horns are completely covered by their thick, black hair.

Formation: 4-2-4

The Starting XI

GK Tomi KOSKINEN (29)
One decade ago, Koskinen emerged as one of the best young stars in Cosumar. At only 20 years old, he dominated Cosumar's collegiate league by allowing only 0.4 goals per game. Almost ten years later, he is still in his prime. He has speedy reflexes like few had ever seen before, and his skill set flawlessly carried over to professional football. He is poised to make it very difficult for even the best of opponents to score and is set to be the long-term starter for this team after successful outings in the previous two World Cups.

DF Alexander PEARCE (32)
Pearce has been traveling with the Cosumar National Team in a variety of positions since age 18. With multiple World Cups under his belt and a highly developed skill set, Pearce is poised to take up the mantle as one of the true leaders of this team. Cosumarite media have began hailing him as one of the figureheads of this year's World Cup campaign and he will have to perform at a high level to live up to expectations. He has an exceptionally strong leg and is an extremely crafty player who frequently outwits his opponents.

DF Abdiel ASSAD (29)
Hailing from a poverty-stricken community in the rugged, mountainous land of southeast Cosumar (where soccer is practically nonexistent), Assad has defied all odds to emerge as one of Cosumar's finest defencemen. Four years ago, he had a breakout season with Eastweald to help them recapture their former glory and qualify for the TakilQuip Champions Cup. He has since established himself as one of the FSF's most prominent stars at the position. He is also the first man of Arab descent to play on the Cosumarite national team. He is a jack-of-all-trades with no real weakness other than a lack of elite speed.

DF Tae Woo MIYORI (27)
Miyori is a young star with a bright future in Cosumarite football. His best attribute is his speed and ball placement. Miyori is currently the fastest player on the team. After being mentored by the legendary William Riley prior to World Cup 66, Miyori finally embraced the limelight in World Cup 67 and played spectacularly. He has matured even more since then, however, and has convinced Manager Farris Crowley that he can be counted on. Riley is now retired and players like Pearce and Paru aren't getting any younger, so Miyori will have an opportunity to become the next great Cosumarite defenceman.

DF Kirum MORTONSSON (24)
Young and dashing Mortonsson recently completed his third professional FSF season with the Zakhoro Aces. The season was a disappointment for the club, but Mortonsson was the sole trace of hope. His outstanding season earned him a big fat paycheck to sign with perennial contender Ramusok United - and a spot on the National Team. Though his biggest fans are often teenage girls, he is supremely athletic and finds ways to make big plays when the team needs it the most. He can be hotheaded at times and make poor decisions. Though he played well at times in World Cup 67, he will frequently share some playing time to experienced bench players such as Endyl Paru until he proves himself more.

MF Abel SCARLOFF (33)
Scarloff elected to immediately jump to professional soccer after high school and was a reserve on the WC64 team at a young age. He is highly skilled and has received much hype from international and domestic media - due to both his play in the now-defunct Civil Citizenry domestic league (with Fox Zero) as well as his numerous WC game-winning goals. Scarloff is an excellent midfielder, but has the scoring abilities of a striker and scores many goals. His jersey is one of the highest selling in Cosumar.

MF Paaron PETROV (27)
A citizen of Fevelo that was born in Cosumar, Petrov plays in the Fevelian domestic system. Though he plays in a vastly inferior league, Paaron Petrov dominated in Fevelo even at the young age of 23. He was able to bypass several top Cosumarite midfielders to make the squad of the National Team, even stealing the starting spot of longtime staple Giovanni Aldinne. Feisty and resourceful, Petrov is an asset when it comes to setting up the big play. He is known for his remarkable ability to score from midfield, a shot he practices daily.

ST Addam ANDSMAN-SAVAGE (33)
Though his last name is peculiar, Andsman-Savage is a well-known around Cosumar as the captain of FC Samotath. Scoring goals is what he does, and he does it well. This will be his fourth time to don the Cosumarite colors, after his well-publicized success in World Cup 66 despite a supposed feud between him and Manager Farris Crowley. All bad blood has apparently been put aside, as Andsman-Savage rightly earned a spot in the Starting XI again, though he may frequently sacrifice playing time to Simmons and Teverridge. Andsman-Savage ruthlessly attacks the goal and has a very precise aim. The ball goes where he wants. His only downside is lack of speed, which Arora, Renault and Na'Safeh have in spades.

ST Sur ARORA (28)
After earning superstar status at the collegiate level, Arora signed with Samaj FC and had has emerged as a superstar in the years since. He genuinely loves the game and has been described by coaches as being "one of the hardest workers they ever coached". He is so noticably fluid in his motions, acceleration and ball control that it's almost scary. Arora is already an elite talent and considered one of the best in the world. He has big shoes to fill - as Cosumar has not been able to score enough goals to qualify since the retirement of all-time leading scorer Rikki Varshney.

ST Francois RENAULT (30)
Renault debuted in the FSF four seasons ago with Cassandra City, which reached the Globe Cup in large part due to him. Renault, like his cousin Giovanni Aldinne, was a much-hyped young prospect that has met all expectations and is becoming a vital part of the Dragons' scheme. World Cup 68 will be a chance for him to further hone his skills in his third year as a starter. Aldinne is noted for his lethal combination of speed and brute strength.

ST Ejegefe NA'SAFEH (29)
Ejegefe Na'Safeh (pronounced: Eh-heh-eff-eh, Na-Sah-Fay) is a Vloo football phenomenon from the remote Na'Malsile Isles of Cosumar. Na'Safeh was a benchwarmer who seldom played in WCs 65 and 66. He was at times magnificent and at times sloppy and was labelled as a "project". But in WC 67 he proved that he was finally deserving of a starting spot, alleviating concerns about his consistency and scoring the second-most goals of the team's campaign. Cosumar's starting strikers are a very experienced bunch this year and Na'Safeh must work hard to replace the now-retired Luke Crisalus who was the anchor of the Dragons' attack for the past several World Cups.

Image

The Reserves

GK Blinne VA'TUARAS (34)
Va'Tuaras is one of Cosumar's most iconic goalkeepers: his enormous frame, trademark mohawk hairstyle and wild antics earning him fan-favorite status. But underneath the flamboyance, Va'Taurus is a fine goalkeeper and has led Klyde FC to multiple Globe Cups. He has great instincts and is a tested backup in the event that the more talented Koskinen breaks down. He is the second of two Vloo members on the team.

DF Phillip O'HAIR (33)
"Red-Head O'Hair", as he's known in Cosumar, has been a consistent defender in the FSF for a few years now and has been selected to the National Team for the third time. He lacks elite speed and agility, but has fantastic ball-handling skills, a catapult for a leg, and rarely makes mistakes. He will be a reliable backup useful when a pair of fresh legs or experience are needed.

DF Endyl PARU (32)
Endyl Paru has performed at a consistently high level both domestically and internationally for almost a dozen years. This will be his first World Cup as a reserve for Cosumar and third overall. Paru is an intimidating figure at nearly 6"4, with some great moves and phenomenal endurance. His ever-present trademark yellow headband has become iconic in Cosumar, but he isn't just for show. Paru is one of Atlantian Oceania's premier defencemen and has been for several years. Though receding from his prime, he should give a huge boost to Cosumar's defense off the bench.

DF Jukka LINDROOS (19)
Lindroos is the latest Cosumarite teen to be hyped by the media as the next great star. He recently completed his senior year in high school and will attend Slivelle Academy on a soccer scholarship after the conclusion of the World Cup. His boyish face and long, golden locks have charmed the media, but do not be fooled, he is a ruthless player on the field. He may not be as skilled and experienced as his elders on the team yet, but he is extremely quick and brings a lot of energy whenever he steps on the field. He will probably not play much in this World Cup, but it will be a valuable experience for him. FSF scouts will definitely be watching.

MF Giovanni ALDINNE (30)
Aldinne debuted in the FSF seven seasons ago with up-and-coming club Real Azuris, which nearly reached the Globe Cup in large part due to him. Aldinne, like his cousin Francois Renault, was a much-hyped young prospect that has met all expectations and has been a vital part of the Dragons' scheme for several years running. World Cup 68 will be a chance for him to further hone his skills in his first World Cup as a reserve after three as a starter. Aldinne is noted for his extraordinary intelligence (maximum score on a soccer IQ test) and speed. He brings invaluable experience to the Dragons' midfield and will share playing time with Petrov.

MF Dean Harold MCSAUNDERS (25)
An unheralded prospect a few years ago, McSaunders rose up out of nowhere a year ago without breakout performances in the FSF for Kaldukosk FC after both of the starting midfielders were injured. This unknown player seizing an opportunity to make a name for himself became a viral story in Cosumar. One of the Kingdom's most popular young footballers of late, he has capitalized on this tide of momentum to secure a spot on Cosumar's World Cup team for the first time. As something of a wildcard, it is unclear how much McSaunders will be utilized. Despite lackluster measurables, he's a winner and obviously has a lot of skill and some sort of "it" factor, but has virtually no experience on the international stage.

ST Corey SIMMONS (36)
This will be Simmons' fifth World Cup (became a starter after performing well as a reserve in World Cup 64). He has been Kaldukosk FC's leading scorer for ten consecutive seasons and is still one of the most feared strikers on the Cosumarite squad despite his age. He has been criticized for being a detriment to the team's locker room atmosphere at times, but his savvy and brute force are elite. A seasoned veteran at this point, he has not slowed a step with age - his lightning-fast reflexes still stupefy defenders. In a shocking decision, he was demoted to a reserve position for World Cup 67 to make room for rising star Ejegefeh Na'Safeh. He will retain that reserve role in WC 68 in what will likely be his last World Cup. He will play frequently though and can still be a dangerous weapon coming off the bench.

ST Thomas TEVERRIDGE (31)
Teverridge is the leading goal scorer for the FSF's Samaj FC and has long been a vastly underrated player in Cosumar due to his tenure with a relatively obscure club in a remote area of Cosumar. However, Teverridge has quietly been one of the most productive players in the upper flight of the FSF and is finally beginning to reap the rewards of his hard work, including finally earning a spot on the National Team after being denied twice. Teverridge loves to snake his way through opposing defenses and is a sly player, with a knack for breaking through creases and getting 1 on 1 shots out of nowhere. He is also a corner kick specialist.

ST Anders ENGSTRÖM (18)
A young prospect who is being groomed to replace aging strikers Andsman-Savage and Simmons in the future. He was the Player of the Year in Cosumar's collegiate soccer league after leading Stoneshore College to a Kingdom Championship.

Coaching Staff and Team Captains

Manager: Farris Crowley

After a phenomenal debut as Manager in World Cup 54, and an even more impressive efforts in World Cups 56-59, Farris Crowley will return to lead the Dragons towards greatness once again in World Cup 68. Crowley was a somewhat successful player in Cosumar's domestic league many years ago and has since taken to coaching. His goal is absolute: win a World Cup. He is currently 70 years of age and has a very stoic personality most of the time. Despite being the one who took Cosumar to new heights and qualified us for nine consecutive World Cups, there is a rumor that he is on the hot seat due to the unsettlingly early exits in the last few World Cups.

Assistant Manager: Truda Jotunnoj

This is Jotunnoj's fourth World Cup as Assistant Manager, replacing Bernard Hotheryo. Jottunoj recently coached for Cosumar in the AOCAF. Jottunoj has been a successful Manager for Cosumarite Sekundar Ligan club Treftadaethfor 16 years. Jotunnoj is 48 years old.

Team Captain: Abel Scarloff
Defenders' Captain: Alexander Pearce
Midfielders' Captain: Abel Scarloff
Strikers' Captain: Addam Andsman-Savage

Kit

Image

Cosumar's uniforms for World Cup 68, made for the team by Barrengeka Kits of Astograth. The uniform has been applauded by fans and the media, featuring Cosumar's national colors: silver and navy blue as well as the Cosumarite Azure Dragon, the symbol of Cosumar. The keeper's uniform is gold and green, the royal family's colors. They are the same kits the team used in World Cups 56-66.

APOX WORLD CUP 68 QUALIFYING ROSTER

Manager: Magnus Fjelden (PIS), Aged 65
Assistant Manager: Gavin Hughes, Aged: 38
Style: -2

Spiel: Magnus Fjelden returns to make it two out of two qualifications to the finals themselves. After performing averagely in the CE (going out in the Round of 16), he's not viewed as the Apoxian saviour he once was, but his job is still very much safe. Fjelden hasn't announced a squad per-say for qualifiers, preferring not to restrict himself to 23 players throughout, instead naming the Starting line-up for our first match of the qualifiers, and then naming a 59 player pool of players who are quite likely to get a call-up. By this he means, Apoxian players who are relatively good - the majority of these players will not see any game time. The captaincy remains with Matthias Sindelar, now returned back to play in Apox domestically and with Tregajorran in excellent form going into the qualifiers it's hard to see a situation where we don't qualify. Time to prove that we've still got what it takes.

competing for

The 68th World Cup Qualifiers
and
The 68th World Cup Finals

Overall Record (through the second playoff, second leg vs Estope)
GP 161, W 72, D 41, L 48, GF 306, GA 248

Staff
Manager: Rick MARTINEZ (57)
The former manager of Deportivo Nespa, where he won the domestic treble in the 2014-15 season. He was appointed with the job on a permanent basis after he guided the national team to another Round of 16 appearance at the Cup of Harmony at Valanora, on which he was managing the team on an interim basis. Martinez is a tackler for discipline and he is willing to drop any player he feels that is not ready for a match. He also schedules training for the senior squad two to three times a week, and anyone who misses training has a low probability of starting the next match. He is the first manager to guide the Agilang Dilaw to its maiden World Cup Finals, at the 68th edition of the World Cup in Legalese and Free Republics.

Assistant Manager: Lorick MANGABAY (45)
Assistant of Rick Martinez while at Deportivo Nespa. He always follow what Rick wants, but he is a hardworking staff. He usually gathers data of upcoming opponents in any way he can, and show it to Rick in order to formulate tactics against them.

Coaches: Jervin Datu (37), Dickson Atencio (37), Soren Morin (42), Isaiah Alquiros (56)
Physios: Solomon Andalencio (45), Edmund Aborita (62)

Style: +2.05
A slightly attacking formation, Martinez utilizes his wingers to deliver dangerous crosses and usually employs overlapping of wingers and fullbacks. This tactic was always seen when he managed the Los Islenos and don't be surprised when he uses it again effectively.
Formation: 4-4-2 diamond, switching to a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-1-2-2-1

Stadium
Image

Estadio Olimpico (Sangti, TRB; capacity 100,000)
Tenants: The Royal Barangay National Football Team, Konsehong Pampalakasan ng Maharlikang Barangay
Directions from the airport: Take the avenue going towards Calle Deportes. When at Calle Deportes, go about three blocks, and there is the stadium. This stadium is very near to StadiumSangti. Alternatively, there are buses that go directly from the airport to the stadiums in the capital.
Details: This newly built stadium was originally designed by Kytleran company BNW Varin. However, the inability of the company to built the stadium in time for the World Cup 66 qualifiers meant that the contract had to be passed to other capable companies. The local builder company Vilalobos Corp stepped up and constructed the stadium in time for the World Cup 67 Qualifiers. This stadium took over hosting of national team matches and hosting of the Copa del Barangay final and Supercopa Maharlika from Estadio Ferdinand Marcos, now known as StadiumSangti. The 100,000 capacity stadium has goal line technology installed in the natural grass pitch. Since this is a relatively new stadium, the government of Mazda Senina invested heavily in installing up to date amenities and technologies for the stadium, and since the assassination of the old supremo, security has been improved, with 3,000 CCTV cameras surrounding the stadium. This stadium hosted the final of the ninth Campionato Esportiva, with Taijan lifting the trophy after their 5-4 extra time win over German American States. The stadium also hosted the UICA Champions Cup 53 Final, where 1896 Ebor of Mytannion defeated Turoki United of Vilita, 1-0 to retain the title.

Kits

The Barangayan National team will wear kits made from Kirola Sports of Audioslavia. The home kit will be yellow with red, blue and black thin horizontal lines, accompanied by yellow shorts and black socks. The away kit will be black with red, blue and yellow diagonal lines, with black shorts and yellow socks. The GK Kit will be supplied by X Sport, with the first kit being green with black accents and the second being gray with green accents. The old away kit, red and blue hoops with red shorts and yellow socks, will now serve as the third/alternate kit.
