That thing would newer be able to fit the engine. At least not without growing to the size of a house. Locomotive diesels are like that. And the electric transmission ain't small or light either. Not to mention the hull mounted 63mm. And the rims would keep catching on shell holes. We'd be laughed off the battlefield by the tommies.

Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. I just like playing with the idea of a country of madmen utterly convinced that everyone else are the barbarians. So play along or not but don't ever think it's for real.

What about using a M7 Priest styled body? Open roof and such, Extend its length from 6 to about 10 meters, Mount your gun in the original 105 mm cannons area, Extend its with to about 3 Meters, Height to about 3 meters as well, This should free up more space for a larger engine and more people since you dont have to lug around ammo for the 105 mm.
Just a average person! Is that too straight forward?

That sounds more or less like what I was imagining actually. Allow me to explain in more detail.

Basically the department is restricted to converting existing vehicles as no budget can be spared for a brand new design. So I have to use the existing tank that's in the works. The bloody thing is a big metal box, roughly 9x3x2.5m. It is protected by 10-20mm steel plate across all sides which makes it immune to anything the enemy can reasonably throw at them. The tank is powered by a locomotive engine with an electric transmission which turns a set of rhomboidal tracks. In terms of weapons it has a pair of sponsons on either side fitting either 37mm guns or 20mm machine guns and a front mounted 63mm gun to blast away bunkers and machine gun nests. Now I figured I could get away with just piling infantry around inside a female and call it a day. But now I am beginning to think it might be best if I removed the front gun altogether and just added a machine gun or two for the passengers to use whilst riding.

Actually come to think off it I might just put some blinds on the front so that the passengers can open up with their rifles as the vehicle advances.

Sounds pretty good.
You should be able to remove the gun assuming this vehicle has support from other tanks, not to mention that you could probably add room for four more soldiers without the gun, ammo and the need for a loader or gunner since it would just have MG mounts, Efficient for only needing two crew.

More like 5 actually. I'd keep the sponsons, so that's two men there. And I'd still have to have a commander, driver and a mechanic to actually keep the thing running.

Now I just have to check if it would be sane to deploy fleets of these back in 1917-18.

Strictly speaking, the autocannon should probably be your primary armament with the AGL being a coaxial or commander's weapon.

Hello, back again!

Heavy Armor
‘Panzerkampfwagen VIC ‘Tiger III’ Model ‘Jager’
Weight: 67 tonnes
Length: 6.316m
Engine: Maybach HL 230 TRM P87; 1,250HP; Max Speed of 65kph
Armament: 1x 8,8cm Ferguson Manufacturing L/70 ‘KampfwagenKanone’ 87 (88 rounds: Pzgr. 87 (Armor Piercing, Composite Ridged, Ballistic Capped / High Explosive Anti-Tank), 2x 14.5x114mm MG-67H(One co-axel, one turret mounted)
Armor: [Chassis: 1,645mm/ 1,640mm/1,640mm (Spaced Composite Armor Adding w/ Depleted Uranium: 430mm/430mm/425mm)] [Turret: 1,645mm/ 1,640mm/ 1,640mm (Spaced Composite Armor Adding w/ Depleted Uranium) 330mm/330mm/325mm)
Radio: FuG 12 Model J.
Suspension: Leaf Coil Torsion Bar suspension
Crew: 5 (Driver, Gunner, Loader, Commander, Radioman)
Armor Angling: 45 degrees on all sides of chassis, with 30 degree angling for turret
Purpose: The Panzerkampfwagen VI Model J, nicknamed the Tiger by crew members, is Yytuskia’s response to the modernization of other country heavy tanks. Replacing the out-dated ‘SchwergepanzertesKampffahrzeug 45’, which was designed in designed in 1945, the Tiger III outclasses it in every way; it has better armor, a bigger gun, and faster engine which outclass some modern tanks. Made in 1987, it is well liked by its crews for its sloped armor, added with the ‘Hans’ model, and it’s fighting capacity. Two Tigers could hold their own against both a T-90A and a M1 Abrams at the same time, and could fight them to a standstill. Around 7,889 Tiger I’s have been made only for the Loyalist Forces of Yytuskia.
Cost: $989,000USD per unit

As you can tell, this is not the IX, as the Board decided to scrap it. This is Yytuskia's MBT.

This thing should be allot heavier than what it is. Also the gun is small, 6x6 vehicles like the and10rcr carry a bigger, better 90mm gun. You'll have to have something in the 100-120 range to evens endanger any mbt frontally.

You're not getting 1,6 meters of RHAe on the front glacis and 400 mm on the rear without going over ninety tons. Also armour has improved to such a degree since WWII that an 88 mm APCR cannot penetrate any third generation main battle tank. You'd be better off with APFSDS.
Also, may I suggest a developed version of the GT 101 gas turbine?
