This edition features no changes to the format, but some new faces. Gone is the United League of The Forbidden Lands, who became the F-League after merging with the Knuckia and Proweric leagues. GROUP STAGE

. A Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Urdutown 10 8 1 1 25 3 +22 25
2 Robotnik Winter 10 7 2 1 23 2 +21 23

3 McDuck Football 10 5 2 3 14 6 +8 17
4 Monsteropolis Skulls 10 3 4 3 8 6 +2 13
5 Dom Mateus XI 10 1 2 7 3 30 −27 5
6 Bison 1991 10 0 1 9 4 30 −26 1

There was nothing approaching a contest in this group, Urdutown and Robotnik Winter snatching their places early and never letting go until the end. McDuck managed to eke out a win against the Daineri club, but that wasn't nearly enough. Poor Dom Mateus and Bison 1991 never stood a chance, the former suffering the worst defeat of the group stage, a 9-0 loss to - guess who - Urdutown.

. B Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Camisa FC 10 7 1 2 16 10 +6 22
2 Marine du Kitsunia 10 6 3 1 13 5 +8 21

3 Junfan Evergrande 10 6 1 3 18 7 +11 19
4 Karikan Volcaronas 10 3 1 6 7 12 −5 10
5 Agreste 10 2 3 5 10 12 −2 9
6 Morris City Tpyosians 10 1 1 8 6 24 −18 4

Marine du Kitsunia went off to a bad start but managed to sacrament a second place finish with four straight wins. Junfan Evergrande lost the opportunity to pass them in the last game. Both ultimately were unable to assail Camisa FC's leadership.

. C Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Byrd Spitfires 10 5 3 2 10 11 −1 18
2 Calouros do Ar 10 5 2 3 17 7 +10 17

3 Elec Town Metools 10 4 3 3 7 6 +1 15
4 Area X Judgment 10 4 2 4 8 8 0 14
5 Atlético Popeye 10 1 7 2 8 9 −1 10
6 Guangshae Shenhua 10 1 3 6 6 15 −9 6

One of the most hotly contested groups, at least for the second place. Despite the close finish in points, Byrd Spitfires led the group from beginning to end, while Calouros do Ar only got their place after a dramatic last matchday. Atlético Popeye broke a record by drawing five straight matches, but that also meant they didn't have a shot at classification at all.

. D Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Reno United 10 8 2 0 28 11 +17 26
2 Bayer Rossenwulf 10 5 3 2 12 4 +8 18

3 Mardi Lopunnies 10 4 3 3 13 12 +1 15
4 Covenant 10 2 5 3 8 13 −5 11
5 Bluestone Blur 10 2 2 6 6 13 −7 8
6 Klonaije SK 10 1 1 8 4 18 −14 4

Reno United never acknowledged the competition, making short work of basically everyone in the group, finishing undefeated and with the highest number of scored goals (an incredible rate of 2,8 per match!). Covenant, Mardi Lopunnies and eventual second place Bayer Rossenwulf all trailed Reno at some point, while the Mobian Nations and Balm representatives ended up as whipping boys.

. E Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Quincas Berro D'Água 10 7 1 2 16 7 +9 22
2 Rot-Weiss Rossenwulf 10 6 2 2 22 11 +11 20

3 Karikan Apollonians 10 4 3 3 12 13 −1 15
4 Onze do Copo 10 4 2 4 14 8 +6 14
5 Canal Canalha 10 4 1 5 12 15 −3 13
6 Yaoi Thinkers 10 0 1 9 5 27 −22 1

Showing the power of Bahian football, Quincas Berro D'Água managed to finish top of the group, winning the second "Derby of the Drunkards" against Onze do Copo (the first ended up in a draw). Another Flockian team managed to snatch a second-place finish in emphatic fashion.

. F Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 FC Bonanza 10 7 3 0 24 5 +19 24
2 Fluminense 10 5 2 3 15 9 +6 17

3 XV Bremen 10 4 1 5 12 11 +1 13
4 Zebel Ayin 10 3 2 5 13 19 −6 11
5 Connery Sport 10 2 3 5 8 13 −5 9
6 Atlético Lin Kuei 10 2 3 5 12 27 −15 9

Group F belonged to FC Bonanza, who saw no challenges to their first place finish. The second place, however, was hotly contested between the five remaining teams. XV Bremen ended the first round in dead last, but almost managed to recover it in the second; Zebel Ayin and Atlético Lin Kuei held the second position for a while themselves, and Connery Sport ended up taking points from both and helping Fluminense get their go.

. G Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Inter Limão 10 6 2 2 16 5 +11 20
2 Busozi TC 10 6 2 2 12 8 +4 20

3 Palmeiras 10 5 2 3 7 4 +3 17
4 Ponte Preta 10 3 4 3 8 7 +1 13
5 Kurohige Kaizokudan 10 3 2 5 6 7 −1 11
6 Qinglong 10 1 0 9 3 21 −18 3

Inter Limão led the group from start to finish, but in the end only goal difference took them ahead of Busozi TC. Palmeiras and Kurohige Kaizokudan both looked like contenders but ended up falling to the wayside. Qinglong represented the proud Draconic tradition of having their clubs flop horribly in the Heritage Cup.

. H Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Vasco da Gama 10 5 3 2 15 5 +10 18
2 Port Kensington 10 5 2 3 23 14 +9 17

3 Sun Coast 10 5 2 3 18 11 +7 17
4 Emerl Kämpferangen 10 4 3 3 13 14 −1 15
5 Revelação 10 4 2 4 18 16 +2 14
6 Neo Poland 10 0 2 8 9 36 −27 2

Another electrifying group, with four clubs ending up as leaders and five with classification chances. In the end, Port Kensington let an almost certain first place slip but got enough goals to edge Sun Coast, while Revelação even led the group once and crashed badly in the late game. Neo Poland was completely out of their league and left with the dead worst campaign in this edition.

ROUND OF 16

. Urdutown (DAI) 3–0 Marine du Kitsunia (KDE)
Marine du Kitsunia (KDE) 1–0 Urdutown (DAI) (1-3 agg)

Camisa FC (ULT) 2–1 Robotnik Winter (EGG)

Byrd Spitfires (NSI) 1–1 Bayer Rossenwulf (FLO)
Bayer Rossenwulf (FLO) 0–1 Byrd Spitfires (NSI) (1-2 agg)

Reno United (SAJ) 1–0 Calouros do Ar (HUE)

Quincas Berro D'Água (OFB) 0–1 Fluminense (BEJ)
Fluminense (BEJ) 1–0 Quincas Berro D'Água (OFB) (2-0 agg)

FC Bonanza (KDE) 0–1 Rot-Weiss Rossenwulf (FLO)
Rot-Weiss Rossenwulf (FLO) 0–3 FC Bonanza (KDE) (1-3 agg)

Inter Limão (CPV) 0–1 Port Kensington (SAJ)
Port Kensington (SAJ) 0–0 Inter Limão (CPV) (1-0 agg)

Vasco da Gama (BEJ) 2–0 Busozi TC (NUS)
Busozi TC (NUS) 0–1 Vasco da Gama (BEJ) (0-3 agg)

Only one club each of the biggest powerhouses got through to the Round of 16, but they made it count. Urdutown, intent on giving a better show for Daineri clubs this time, sent Marine du Kitsunia home easily. Byrd Spitfires booked their place with a sole away goal. Robotnik Winter put up a valiant fight against Camisa FC, but the Ultiman giants prevailed. Saint Anne and Jacob showed their tradition in the tournament by putting two teams forward, while both representatives from Barra e Janeiro prevailed against emerging powers. Flockian clubs were the victims, both falling through the initial hurdle.

QUARTER-FINALS

. Urdutown (DAI) 1–0 Camisa FC (ULT)
Camisa FC (ULT) 0–1 Urdutown (DAI) (0-2 agg)

Byrd Spitfires (NSI) 0–0 Reno United (SAJ)
Reno United (SAJ) 0–2 Byrd Spitfires (NSI) (0-2 agg)

Fluminense (BEJ) 2–5 FC Bonanza (KDE)
FC Bonanza (KDE) 0–1 Fluminense (BEJ) (5-3 agg)

Port Kensington (SAJ) 2–1 Vasco da Gama (BEJ)
Vasco da Gama (BEJ) 2–0 Port Kensington (SAJ) (3-2 agg)

In a duel of the surprises, Port Kensington was defeated by Vasco, but they won't face their arch-rivals in the semifinals because FC Bonanza's good run continued against Fluminense. Byrd Spitfires took the other Jacobine club out with an away win (again) and Urdutown didn't care about Camisa FC and won both games with Ming goals.

SEMI-FINALS

. Urdutown (DAI) 2–0 Byrd Spitfires (NSI)
Byrd Spitfires (NSI) 3–2 Urdutown (DAI) (3-4 agg)

FC Bonanza (KDE) 0–1 Vasco da Gama (BEJ)
Vasco da Gama (BEJ) 2–2 FC Bonanza (KDE) (3-2 agg)

The semi-finals are commonly said to be when the real winners are weeded from the lucky teams in the HC. This time, one pitted the two most powerful footballing nations of the championship (albeit mid-tier teams) and the other had the country that dominated recent editions against a plucky newcomer. Well, in the end Vasco managed to prevent further Kitsunian domination of the trophy thanks to an away win. On the other side, Urdutown played smart and managed to win the second semifinal despite suffering three goals away from home, consigning the promising Sunrisian outfit to the third place match.

THIRD PLACE MATCH
National Stadium, Reno, Saint Anne and Jacob
Byrd Spitfires (NSI) 1–0 FC Bonanza (KDE)

FINAL
National Stadium, Reno, Saint Anne and Jacob
Urdutown (DAI) 0–2 Vasco da Gama (BEJ)

Congratulations to Vasco da Gama, taking the trophy to Barra e Janeiro for the first time! Also, congratulations on Urdutown's recently transferred Ming, who became the tournament's top scorer and will receive a hefty prize in Lord Granas Gold Bars Worth More Than Money(tm).

The Royal Barangay (TRB) partner bid

Youth Cup: Aguas Rapidas (Potable water supply and water purification)

Image

The Barangayan company, Aguas Rapidas, is a longtime provider of potable water in the nation, and is the largest water company. While it's main task is to ensure the cleanliness of water that is being supplied, the company also thrived in creating a water purification system that helps in acquiring the best quality of water citizens deserve. It is very helpful especially in mobile areas and when a large scale disaster, such as the "Yalonda" typhoon strikes.

The terms of the deal is such, if the company is accepted to be a partner of the UICA, each participating team in the Youth Cup will be given two cases of purified water, each case having 24 bottles of 500 milliliters of water. The final four of the Youth Cup will receive an additional 10 cases while the winner receives a unit of Aguas RapidasTM water purification system that will be installed in their club facilities or a beneficiary of choice.

The company, along with the KPMB, wishes the bid good luck as it is being presented to the officials of the UICA.

BeyondLinks: official Blatter account of Kerlagrad Courier Sports!

Oh well, not my job.

Actually, trying to split up the home games for the different rounds is just going to provoke lots of complaining, isn't it.

Keppal will be thrilled to be the equals of Canbix, kind of, and it'll be fun to see the FTC host international teams. Maybe.

So qualifiers are as you had it at halftime, then. Congratulations to FTC United and Keppal Cosmos, off to the Globe Cup for the first time.

And in stoppage time...Guntur Nexog-Isau scores the winner for Sporting Esper.

...Of course not. Back to Frischberg, hat trick for Vant-Tre.

Just about done, was that Lina Kaur from the Rebels with the last goal of regulation?

One more goal for Angela Kachi-Yan to close out the title run for Ephesian. They brought their talent when they needed to, full credit.

I take it "not great."

RB @beyondlinks What are odds?

Hah, Dipaka Muaz scores for Namiri Forest. What odds Cham rally, just so they're not the only scoreless team?

Another goal for Keppal, Luwelepee's second of the day.

And of course that's another goal in Frischberg. Vant-Tre collects his brace.

Horace Qotemei scores for the hosts, they'll try to upset the champions to finish off this season.

Really? It's so hard to predict the stability of any future league--goal in Bassabook, by the way.

RB @beyondlinks On balance they might also regret their sale.

RB @beyondlinks Spoke too soon.

Iris McKien scores for Arlington. Arlington? That's just silly.

Hey, nobody's scored in seven minutes. Did that work?

Maybe we should unplug the scoreboard and try again.

And Spenson have widened their lead, KK with his second for them.

RB @beyondlinks I think there's a bug in this video game.

......And right off the restart, Maya Coelho scores for the Rovers. 3-2.

...Twineur almost instantaneously equalize, through Jeanette McPends. That was impressive.

And right away it's Sorcha Wodem-Ehagoe scoring for Rovers United, 2-1 over the Bugs.

Hmm, whoever's playing as Keppal didn't like that. Dennis Horkawer-Rippel scores again for them. 4-1 in 102d.

Project Go For A Zillion is on, Vinh Scesand-Tran scores again for Spenson.

Kazue Harel is an astonishing leader. Never mind who wears the armband, she has turned this club around. GC or not, her future is bright.

But over the course of the season--that scoreline doesn't do Trink justice.

It's dried up in the FTC-Trink game. The Oxen have earned a 4-1 lead today, no doubt about that.

Now a goal from Darren Cencell of Bassabook, equalizing against Ephesian. Ephesian fans are fine, they got to celebrate at home last week.

Lol. Goal for Sporting Esper! Gona Turidon with a long blast.

You know what I mean.

RB @beyondlinks Could be Arlington-Sporting Esper, they've been lifeless too.

Someone's watching Namiri-Cham, I take it.

RB @beyondlinks What are shots?

Shots fired.

RB @beyondlinks Give me the video game controller, and I can make that happen.

RB @beyondlinks Nirav Gadhavi's been fun to watch for the rebels, but I'll take the "zillion" approach.

Then, 102d need a comeback against Keppal. Alternatively, Spenson could score about a zillion goals.

Joyce Calle-Polp scores, to retake the lead for Spenson. I think they still have a slim chance, but the Oxen need to score more.

Where the league is going next: to restart the second half. Stay tuned. Or not, it's a free country.

And Iturributa weren't really to be underestimated. Wherever the league goes next, all I can say is wow. Thank you, Ephesian, for that run.

Which explains how long it took them to actually take the lead here, come to think of it, they didn't plan on visiting Iturributa so late.

Everything came together. Pete Balmer looked rejuvenated, Rudolf Sternberg was stifling everybody--that was spectacular.

And kind of horrifying in the sense of "this shouldn't possibly work, but if we don't tell ourselves that, and wait just a little longer..."

And then that happened. It was kind of beautiful, in the sense of "you don't need to be an aesthete to pick up on the greatness."

So against Axel Heiburg, I was cautiously optimistic. They'd beaten Real Atlantea, they'd drawn Turoki United.

But the way he lifts everyone else's game, he doesn't need to be.

When he scored the fifth goal, I was a little taken aback, he's not a great finisher.

But when Davi Keane-Liuprand is on form, oh man do they light up.

Now that we have a moment to breathe, let's talk about Ephesian again. Going into that second leg against Maethorü, I wasn't excited.

Halftime, whee. Slogda on pace to edge out Canbix for second; I have the Oxen in fourth, and Keppal edging out Trink, at this point.

Yeah, yeah. Okay, Clifford Baqu scores for Twineur now, tying up their game against the Rovers.

RB @beyondlinks What's a tank?

Getting close to first-half stoppage time, anything left in the tank?

Sporting Esper are visiting Arlington City, who /will/ be.

We should probably acknowledge that there are other games going; Trebuchet Cham won't be last this season, they're facing Namiri Forest.

RB @beyondlinks Which is a pity, because they could probably handle the Youth Cup.

Oh, 102d are going to try. Janet McButio with their goal, bringing it to 3-1. They don't really have anything to play for.

Keppal Cosmos score again, they want to hold onto that fifth place. Edwin Cidazaa with the goal.

Heh, yes, Bassabook were in first for the first three weeks. We'd forgotten.

RB @beyondlinks Well, combined with Slogda/Canbix, it means all the season's leaders are facing each other on the final day!

Aha, speaking of Ephesian, they've woken up in Bassabook. Nicholas Blier scores, but this game doesn't really mean anything.

But somehow, they were second after Matchday Eleven. (Ephesian were eleventh!)

Still, if you'd mentioned at the beginning of the season that Trink would be in a game with these stakes, we'd have laughed at you.

Aaand Rais-Sonnen scores again. 4-1 Oxen. As you were.

Oh here we go, Trink are going to make a game of this. Shuya Stoppelbein makes it 3-1.

For a side that just lost the title they're high-spirited, but they have much to play for still.

Looks like a sizable crowd from Hapra have made the trek south, banners and all.

RB @beyondlinks Canbix fans ready to bristle, they're just waiting for anyone to call the team horses or whatever. Slogda fans way too nice.

And Yakolev...will do it again! An equalizer brings Slogda back into second! So much for that, then. Excellent playmaking by Vera Woredann.

Remember, the reverse leg of this fixture featured just one goal, from Pasha Yakolev. That ended the Nightriders' two-week stint on top.

Here we go, goal for Ramona Geideen! Canbix go ahead in their game, and are now on track to make the CC.

Yeah, I thought not either.

That's a shame. Wonder how they'd react to the idea of merging with Danhy and becoming Yeaun United?

RB @beyondlinks Visiting fans aren't having any of this. Consensus now is "they have more cities than we do and it's not /fair/."

Wow. She almost did it again, instead beautifully holding off and flicking a pass to Arlo Rais-Sonnen. 3-0 Oxen now. This could get ugly.

Goal for...erm, Martina Ruan, actually, and I mean it this time. 2-0 FTC.

RB @beyondlinks Oxen, Rovers, none of them can stick to a single home stadium anyway, what's the difference.

Of...course not. I blame the copy editor.

RB @beyondlinks I thought that was Martina Ruan? But she doesn't even play for the Rovers.

Vant-Tre, of course, broke up Slogda's interminable shutout streak last season.

How about a taste of the bottom half? Quidel Vant-Tre scores for Rovers United, against the Twineur Bugs. This game is in Frischberg.

Could be. Let's just say I had a shortlist of ten players most likely to run off and become Monks; she wasn't on it.

RB @beyondlinks Independent must be regretting the sale of Shula Bachchan-Laum. Their midfield is so weak without her.

I don't think this actually changes anything, except that Spenson now don't need tiebreakers to be out of the GC chase.

Could be. Hold on, goal in Spenson--and it's tied up! Shekhar Ajant equalizes for Namiri Independent.

RB @beyondlinks If any club could recruit a youth side, it's Ephesian, for spurious ideological reasons alone.

I'm not sure what Ephesian's high point of that whole cycle was, to be honest. Scrounging up a youth team?

Our league is going places! Into the CC group stage--and just as quickly /out/ of it. Have to say, I didn't see that coming.

I'm going to say no, Keppal have earned this over the long haul.

RB @beyondlinks Is the league too young to say "well done Keppal, it must suck to have been overshadowed by Canbix for so long?"

Keppal again! Joseph Luwelepee scores, and it's already 2-0.

Keppal seize the chance to get some goal difference of their own; Emma Harge with the goal against 102d Jr.s.

The Rebels' loss to Slogda last week knocked them out of Globe Cup contention, but they'll finish in the top half, ahead of Namiri Forest.

Kenneth Karwitch with the tap-in for Spenson to get them out in front against Namiri Independent.

Keppal now ahead of Trink on goal difference.

RB @beyondlinks See, this is where park matters; in Eglantine the home fans are better sports about it. Here, we could have trouble.

And here we go, right away it's Khalan Mard-Saro scoring for the Oxen against Trink. Visiting fans displeased, they're off to a poor start.

Quite. Spenson Suburbia and Keppal Cosmos also in with a shout of making the Globe Cup, if things go their way.

RB @beyondlinks And by "FTC United host" we mean "the P^3 hosts."

Hardly less exciting: the match between our 4th and 5th-place teams with Globe Cup position at risk. FTC United host Eintracht Trink. Trink!

A win for Canbix Muses mean that they will take the second Champions’ Cup position; anything less, and Slogda come second instead.

While Excelsior Slogda led for most of the season, they couldn't put it away. They're hosting the big game today.

As you well know, Ephesian FC clinched their title defense last week, drawing at home with Namiri Forest.

Today is /mostly/ guaranteed not to have any etymology-related detours. Although you never know.

Right. Welcome to the last matchday of the season, times synchronized because we can.

Capital AC
Image Image Image
Courtesy of Adler Sport, German-American States

Captain: Arthur Wood (BAR)
Nickname: Capitals
Players in: Laurent Gademba (FW) (from reserves), Rakkim Ryan (FW) (from St. Christopher University), Leo Cruz (CHI) (FW), Koldobika Arainty (ASG) (MF) (from Izarloka FC)
Players out: Timothy Rodning (FW) (retired), Chris Theodakris (retired)
Prediction: 4th

Capital AC has practically reinvented itself in the past few years as a progressive, modern football club, willing to sign women and foreigners, whoever gets the job done; the only secret now is getting the job done. Last year saw good individual efforts go to waste in a largely apathetic team environment, a dynamic which was, ironically, changed only by a career-ending injury to captain Timothy Rodning.

Veteran keeper Amos Weiss will stay between the pipes for Capital another season, denying shots and showing why he was last year's silver glove at the ripe age of thirty. In front of the net, Jory Mickelson last year proved why he is still a Green League defender despite the relegation of his hometown Johnstown United to the Gold League, and his continued experience in the Campionato will only help what was last year the best overall defense in the Green League.

In the midfield, the team's shiny new four-four-two diamond will showcase almost the best middle four Taijan could buy, with Christian Britt playing defensive mid after a strong showing in that role in the Campionato for the Ibexes. In front of him, newly-minted team captain Arthur Wood will move out to right winger, to be flanked by Micah Howe, fresh off his own first Campionato, with Astograthian attacking midfielder Koldobika Arainty up front.

The losses of Theodakris and Rodning to retirement indicate a regime change for the Capitals up front, with young Utilitarian Cyrano Duran the only returner. Chiatan international Leo Cruz will no doubt pick up much of the slack, while a slew of signings in response to Rodning's release has resulted in a log jam that cannot last if the team is to have money to spend elsewhere, but for now, the depth and options will suit the Capitals well as they adjust to life without Rodning.

Port Royal
Image
Courtesy of Adler Sport, German-American States

Captain: Casey Laurent
Nickname: Royals
Prediction: 7th

Port Royal has been a small fish in a big pond since it arrived to the Green League two seasons ago, but they've stayed on by a combination of shrewd management and tenacious play. Former goalkeeper Lloyd Waters has returned as the team's manager, and he has made several decisions that have served the Royals well and kept their foothold in the Green League.

Last year, that shrewd management landed Samuel Frederick from the failing Lepers FC squad in goal and managed to get a good season out of him where the Coco Bay team couldn't. In front of Frederick, young Felipe Frost has shown some promise as an overlapping defender, quick and decisive if not always wise in his decisions, he embodies the youth and vitality that makes Port Royal a crowd favorite in the Green League.

The midfield is one place where experience may benefit a player the most, and it is where Port Royal's relative youth works against them the most. Though Ortiz is on the wrong side of thirty, he has played most of his career in the smaller leagues and so it seems unlikely that he will turn into a Green League midfielder anytime soon; however, he is good enough provided they are sandwiched between sufficient talent on both sides.

Up front, Silvain Wion has proven to be an excellent pickup from Nova Algiers, proving to be for the Royals what he couldn't for the Maroons; an exciting, explosive attacker to complement their star, who is in this case the young Casey Laurent, a national-team selection and one of the youngest captains in the Green League. Laurent is a creative footballer quickly rising through the ranks of the Green League. Don't be surprised to see All-Star honors for this dynamite young striker this year.

St. Christopher United
Image Image Image
Courtesy of Adler Sport, German-American States

Captain: Opiter Antio (UTL)
Nickname: Wanderers
Players Out: Hale Ray (to Urbanazia Wanderers [ASG])
Prediction: 8th

The Wanderers have arguably been a team in decline since the retirement of Cormac Danielson, but last year demonstrated that a competent goalkeeper is not the sum total of the United's needs. Diandra Ballard is back from AFC Treason for another year, but the team has a lot of catching up to do if it doesn't want to fall apart when she returns to New Sideburn to claim her destiny at the end of this season.

Defensively, Ballard is a definite force to be reckoned with, in her second year of a two-year loan period from AFC Treason. Britt Thatcher was one of several unused substitutes for the Taijani national team in the Campionato, but with Christopher Nguyen in front, it doesn't exactly matter who's backing him up. Outside of Ballard, defense is a definite weak point, with several players who seem to have potential, but not the years left to make anything of it.

In the midfield, overworked team captain Opiter Antio of Utilitas is still as solid as always, and Christian Hart may have finally found his place in Taijani football. Still, the team lacks direction outside of those two, as Timmy Kong is too young to really widen the field any or bring any new initiative to the stalled team. It has to be hoped that Antio can deliver the necessary kick in the pants to get this team out of the doldrums.

Meanwhile, Jackson Lord has shown his stuff as an international attacker in the Campionato and all told, may very well be the best player on this team outside of Ballard. What he lacks in urgency he makes up for in speed and cunning, and a keen ability to place the ball where it needs to go. If this team succeeds beyond expectations this year, it will probably be because of Lord.

Dynamo Nova Tangiers
Image Image Image
Courtesy of Adler Sport, German-American States

Captain: Leandro Cardoza (NEC)
Nickname: None (mascot is a tyrannosaurus)
Players in: Jessie Bustos (FW) (FEL) (from Project +90 [NSI]), Kyle Horatio (GK), Lyle King (MF) (from youth system)
Players out: Bryce Kang (FW)
Prediction: 10th

It is almost a truism that if one has money and does not spend it or, worse, spends in unwisely, one will have money no more. This has proven to be the case in Dynamo Nova Tangiers, whose billionaire backers have cut much of its funding in response to poor performance over the past few seasons, resulting in some odd personnel changes believed to be moves of desperation, long-shot gambles.

To begin with, the goal is now being occupied by eighteen year-old Kyle Horatio, fresh off the U-18 squad and likely very much out of his depth in the Green League. He will be supported by a sagging defense that has never been anywhere near Green League standards. Expect a lot of goals to be scored against Dynamo.

In the midfield, things either get better or worse, depending on your view. Another eighteen year-old, this one named Liam King, has a bit more promise, but is still woefully underqualified for the job, while the others are probably already looking for contracts in the Gold League or abroad.

The attackers' story is a little better, as Leandro Cardoza is still Leandro Cardoza, but sixteen year-old Jessie Bustos is, in addition to being the first female field player (as opposed to Ballard, a goal keeper) in the League, also its youngest starter. Patrick David showed some promise last year, but it is unclear whether he will even make a dent into what is wrong with this team.

The Srspian Champions Cup of Champions
1

Welcome one and all to the first Srspian Champions Cup of Champions; a competition will pits together some of the greatest, some of the most well known, some teams from the region of Srsp head-to-head in a battle to claim footballing superiority within the region.

Each nation with currently active football teams was contacted, four of which submitted their champions. Here are the entrants.

Dom Mateus XI - of Matthewsiania (MAT)
Dozebay - of Mousebane Islet (MBI)
Halholzer United - of Mareibat (MBT)
TAATO - of Ark (ARK)

The tournament will run thusly. The teams will be drawn randomly into two semi-final pairings where they will play home and away fixtures against their opponent competing for the best aggregate score. The two winning teams will contest a final upon a neutral ground.

Round 1
Dom Mateus XI (MAT) 0–0 Halholzer United (MBT)
Halholzer United (MBT) 2–1 Dom Mateus XI (MAT)

Halholzer United (MBT) advance 2-1 on aggregate

TAATO (ARK) 3–0 Dozebay (MBI)
Dozebay (MBI) 1–4 TAATO (ARK)

TAATO (ARK) advance 7-1 on aggregate

Final
Halholzer United (MBT) 0–0 TAATO (ARK) (1–0 AET)

Past Winners

i. Halholzer United (Mareibat)
In a thrilling final, the Mareibat team edge a win over the Arkan hopefuls and secure their name in the record books as first ever winner of the beautiful trophy seen to our right.

Entrance is now open for the second ever Srspian Champions Cup of Champions. Any football team from a nation within Srsp that actively participates within a league is eligible to enter but there's only one place per nation so we'd advise entering your top team.
The cut-off for the next cup will be the same as the UICA cut-off (maybe a day or two later), so feel free to add
SCCoC: Imaginativeteamname United
... or similar to your next league post in this thread, or TG Ark with your entrant.

Welcome everyone to the Inaugural Year of the new and improved Zenic Federation of Association Football (or ZFAF) Domestic System. In the days of yore, there was one lonely league in the great empire of Zenic: the Zenic Major League. It was simply 8 teams playing each other 4 times during the season and against amateur teams during preseason. It was fun for a while but limited in scope. The original eight teams were: FC Virtus, Internacional Binar, Real Old Maiz, Hutiberg AC, Honneur, Reichton, Deline Athletic and AS Quai. Now joined by 4 new teams in the new top division known as the Premier League of the Empire as well as 12 new teams in the second division known as the Amateur Championship, it is just the start. The ZFAF has formed a new competition to go along with this new system: the Waylord Cup, named after the founder and first president of the ZFAF. The Waylord Cup will be a domestic cup tournament where every Zenic club will be included and have an opportunity to win and bring much honor.

In this new system, the ZFAF will be working with the UICA, other domestic leagues and other organizations as we will be following their international guidelines to create an exciting and new level of play for the fans to enjoy. As such, we will be introducing concepts that are new to Zenic but mainstays in the rest of the world and hopefully, mainstays here soon. First, we will talk about changes to the domestic game. Now that there are two leagues in play, we are introducing Promotion and Relegation. The last place team of the PLE will be relegated to the Amateur Championship and be replaced by the champion of aforementioned league while the 11th place PLE team will enter a two-legged home and away series against the runner up of the Amateur Championship to see who belongs in the PLE and who belongs in the Amateur Championship.

Now, we shall discuss the international aspect of these changes. As mentioned before, we will be working in conjunction with other organizations to send our victorious teams to their international competitions. The champion of the PLE will qualify for the Champions Cup, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place team of the PLE will qualify for the Globe Cup and the top four teams of the Amateur Championship will qualify for the Series B Champions Cup. Meanwhile, we will be working closely with our fellow Rushmore nation of Valladares to include the winner of the newly established Waylord Cup to qualify for the prestigious Cygnus Cup as well as working with the Rushmore regional federation to include the winner of the PLE in the Rushmore Copa de Campeones.

I hope you will come along with us on this fantastical new journey to see the best that association football in Zenic has to offer.

Tropical Trophy

The Tropical Trophy is a seasonal competition between the Vilitan Stellar Division Champions and Vilitan Cup Champions. There has been some controversy as to whether it is a "Season Ending" event or a "Season beginning" event, though it has tended to be closer to the start of the new season, then the end of the previous one.

For this seasons Tropical Trophy, The V-League Stellar Division Champions (Turoki United) were invited to face off against the defending Vilitan Cup Champions (Jungle Strike FC). Jungle Strike FC were making their all-time leading 26th appearance in the Tropical Trophy including their 7th in a row. For Turoki United it would be their third appearance in the Tropical Trophy. In their first Tropical Trophy appearance, Turoki United were downed by Strike 3-2 in Extra time after Riksa Valjariia scored a stoppage time goal for Strike to send the match into extra time before netting the winner just minutes later. During the previous season's Tropical Trophy, Turoki United once again lost to Strike FC, this time on penalty kicks in a match that ended goalless after 120 minutes.

Vilitan/Turorian Dual National referee Nuliko Meteorik officiated the Tropical Trophy for the sixth consecutive season.

:: The Kickoff

After failing to win the Vilitan Stellar Division and then crashing out hard in the UICA Champions Cup and Globe Cup, failing to reach the Group Stage in either competition for the first time since, well, since any fan cares to remember - It was changes abound for Jungle Strike FC who entered the Tropical Trophy without a full-time manager, instead having Captain Miiara Makose leading the squad from the field.

Interestingly, Makose selected himself to start in midfield, instead handing a debut start to Starblaydia's Benjamin Koenig while Yttriban defender Rico Matthews watched from the bench. Apple Cobbler, the young Equestrian prospect who had spend two seasons on loan up the coast in Kiiara-Torra was granted a first start for the Venom on the right side of midfield while Yves Gadois started up front along with debutant Venom Youth Academy graduate Perran Adlani.

For Turoki United, defender Dwaye Raearongo called it quits after reaching the 'pinnacle of a career' with the Stellar Division title. Nili Lucsaa was the only debutant, taking Raearongo's place in the lineup.

Benjamin Koenig got his first intervention on defense for the Venom just 3 minutes in, stifling a chance from Jinni Brali as Turoki United started strong much to the delight of the fans at the Tivali Ring Stadium in Alikki-Corra who were on the edge of their seats waiting for the first goal from open play in the Tropical Trophy for two seasons.

And the fans would get that goal 12 minutes into the match as this time the Strike defense could not prevent Jinni Brali from getting a clean shot on Kajaxo Imaslavii's goal, the Audioslavian goalkeeper perhaps showing his age as Brali's toe-poked effort might have been within Imaslavii's reach during the glory years, Turoki United taking the early 1-0 lead.

Turoki United continued the early pressure as Strike FC struggled to find their shape with new players in new positions and old players in new positions as well, taking orders from the center of midfield instead of from the sideline with the captain Miiara Makose attempting to run the game from the pitch.

It took 39 minutes before the Venom finally had their first shot on target, but once they got it they made it count. After being rumored to be contemplating retirement in the offseason after he had been relegated to a substitute role during Strike's ill-fated Season 42 campaign, Yves Gadois mentorship role with rising star Perran Adlani seemed not only to encourage the veteran attacker to not hang up the boots early, but also earned Gadois his place back in Strike's starting lineup as an on-field tutor for the 16 year old.

It took just under 40 minutes for Gadois to have a first-hand influence on the young striker's first career goal, feeding Adlani neatly who then fired a rocket into the corner of the net which Turorian National Team goalkeeper Mumau Atla-Siioai could do nothing about.

Despite finding their way back into the match and levelling the scores, Strike FC were still out played during the opening 45 minutes and Player/Coach Miiara Makose would have work to do at the interval if his side were going to extend their winning streak over their Turokian rivals.

:: The Second Half

Strike FC struggled to keep organized against the experienced and well-meshed Turoki United side and the Venom continuously gave up dangerous free-kicks to their rivals after being caught in confusion and not being on the same page as their new teammates.

As the hour mark approached, it was the end of the night for the Equestrian States Apple Cobbler who made no mistakes, but also left no lasting memory of their debut in Strike colors, being replaced by the experienced Vilitan midfielder Relmar Winauat.

Having slowed down for some time, the match started to regain some pace in the final 20 minutes as Turoki United earned a corner kick and set up a challenge inside Kajaxo Imasalvii's penalty area. Enri Pinero came up to take the corner for Turoki United. The experienced defender seemed to have picked out a target on delivery and the focus quickly shifted on the substitute Vitroc Pomrii who seemed a player possessed with a mission of guiding the incoming ball to the back of the net. Azestella Ajhabekk stepped forward to try to gain position on Pomrii but could do no such thing, leaving Imaslavii a sitting duck as the ball whizzed past and Turoki United took a 2-1 lead.

If he had any serious thoughts about becoming the full time player/manager of Strike FC, Miiara Makose may have been re-thinking them as his side trailed 15 minutes from time. Never one to let others do his work, Makose kept himself on the pitch as a midfielder looking to generate the chance that would put his team back in the match. Makose nearly did just that, fighting feverishly for the ball in midfield, eventually finding Yves Gadois who fed in Kigaoua Oalalka who had only Mumau Atla-Siioai to beat. Unfortunatel for Makose and the Venom, the Turorian midfielder found only the stands with his effort and time was running out for Strike.

With 7 minutes to play, the Venom were clearly getting frustrated and unwilling to accept their fate professionally. After first receiving a full-force body check from Friekder Dandalleion, Jinni Brali was fouled just outside the box by Azestella Ajhabekk resulting in yet another Free Kick for Turoki United. This time, however, the wall did its job, deflecting the ball away to safety and allowing Strike to mount a counter attack as Ajhabekk found the youngster Perran Adlani at the halfway line.

The race was on but Adlani was forced to the sideline by Kam Amizic before dishing the ball off to strike partner Yves Gadois who tried to make a play with it. It was not to be, however. Turoki United withheld the pressure to claim their first ever Tropical Trophy title and becoming just the third club in Vilitan history to have won all four major domestic trophies, the Tropical Trophy, Vilitan Stellar Division, Vilitan Cup and Vilitan Declasse Division championships joining Arcticala Inlet and their stadium-sharing rivals the Turoki Tide.

Tivali Ring Stadium - Alikki-Corra, Vilita (87,000 Capacity)
The Football Association of Vilita is based at the Tivali-Ring Stadium in the capital city of Alikki-Corra, Vilita and many National Team training sessions take place on the grounds of the Tivali Ring. The Football Association regularly schedule matches at arenas throughout Vilita, especially bigger matches as many of the stadiums that host Stellar Division and UICA competition matches have expanded far beyond the capacity of the National Stadium at Tivali Ring, which is used only for the National Team, and, for the Vilitan Cup Final and Tropical Trophy matchup. In addition to its World Cup matches, 'The Ring' hosted the 40th UICA Series 'B' Champions Cup Final. The stadium was constructed as part of the Vilitan bid to host the World Cup 14 Cup of Harmony as a replacement to the former National Stadium in Lopinka that was destroyed during a regional conflict.

I have decided to continue using the rankings system that I debuted last season. This year, I will be posting the rankings used in this thread. My bonus system remains the same as it was last season.

1. Vultures 14.65
2. Republica FC 13.51
3. Bears 10.2
4. Rhinos 10.1
5. Ravens 9.94
6 Lions 9.91
7. Cardinals 9.14
8. Warriors 8.75
9. Falcons 8.24
10. Wolves 7.65
11. Legion 7.58
12. Geckos 7.32
13. Dolphins 7.23
14. Walruses 6.7
15. Parrots 5.25
16. Tigers 4.8
17. Hippos 4.3
18. Zebras 3.84
19. Vipers 3.7
20. Bankers 3.2
21. Turtles 3.03
22. Bulls 2.91
23. Pandas 2.86
24. Owls 1.39
25. Jaguars 1.09
26. Turkeys 0.23

4th Acedonian Cup

This season saw a major reorganization of the Second Division. While the Jaguars had earned relegation with their performance last season, they were saved from relegation by the decision to expand the Second Division to 16 teams and shorten the season to 30 matches. This is a cost-saving move. Acedonian professional sports clubs pay their athletes by the match and the Second Division has struggled to sell tickets in the past. The Third Division, which is a semi-pro division, is in much better shape financially. As a result, the Owls and Turkeys return this season. They will be joined by the Bees and the Knights. Both clubs are powerhouses in the Acedonian Baseball Federation, but are not traditional powers in the sport known as football in Acedonia. The 4 new Second Division clubs were the top 4 in the Third Division a year ago, earning promotion to the Second Division under the special rules announced by Commissioner Achillios Kenteris.

As a consequence of the expansion of the Second Division, only the 4 UICA qualifiers from the previous season receive a first round bye in the new Acedonian Cup format. The Acedonian Cup has correspondingly expanded to 28 clubs.

First Round
The team listed first is at home in the score listed first.
Geckos 1-1 Owls 0-1 1-0
Zebras 3-6 Dolphins 2-5 1-1
Rhinos 1-3 Tigers 0-1 1-2
Knights 1-0 Turtles 0-0 1-0
Wolves 8-3 Jaguars 2-0 6-3
Falcons 0-5 Walruses 0-1 0-4
Legion 5-4 Vipers 2-3 3-1
Turkeys 4-8 Parrots 3-6 1-2
Warriors 5-1 Bees 4-0 1-1
Bankers 0-2 Hippos 0-0 0-2
Cardinals 0-4 Ravens 0-0 0-4
Bulls 6-3 Pandas 3-3 3-0

The First Round of the 4th Acedonian Cup saw several shocking results. Most shocking was the Tigers stunning the Rhinos twice in a row, in a battle of teams that placed 5th in their respective divisions a year ago. Also surprising was the dominant fashion in which the Second Division Walruses eliminated the Falcons, a 7th place Premier League side a year ago. It was a strong offseason for many Second Division sides and that showed in the results today. Another surprise saw the Geckos forced to play a replay match against the Owls in a cup tie that matched 2 sides newly promoted to their respective divisions. Both the Geckos and Owls pulled off 1-nil victories on the road, so the away goals rule could not be applied.

First Round Replay
Geckos 1–0 Owls

The Geckos took the third match between these sides by a score of 1 goal to nil to advance to the Second Round. For most of this match, it looked like it would go to extra time, but the Geckos got a late goal from a defender off of a corner kick that put them into the Second Round.

Second Round
The team listed first is at home in the score listed first.
Hippos 1-3 Vultures 1-1 0-2
Legion 10-6 Knights 6-3 4-3
Wolves 0-0 Geckos 0-0 0-0
Walruses 1-1 Lions 1-0 0-1
Warriors 0-3 Republica FC 0-1 0-2
Parrots 7-6 Tigers 4-2 3-4
Bears 1-1 Dolphins 1-0 0-1
Ravens 2-0 Bulls 0-0 2-0

A record 3 replays were required for the Second Round of the Cup. The Wolves and Geckos played to 2 consecutive scoreless draws. Meanwhile, the Walruses and Lions both won their home legs 1 to nil. The same thing occurred in the tie between the Bears and the newly relegated Dolphins. While the rest of the results were not really surprises, the fact that the Dolphins and Walruses took the Bears and Lions to third matches was very surprising.

Second Round Replay
Wolves 0–0 Geckos (0–0 AET) (1–4 pen.)
Walruses 0–1 Lions
Bears 0–4 Dolphins

in the replays, the Lions disposed of the Walruses while the Dolphins broke the Bears. Meanwhile, the Geckos and Wolves went to penalties after 300 scoreless minutes. The Geckos won 4 to 1 on penalties, once again surviving a replay match.

Quarterfinals
The team listed first is at home in the score listed first.
Legion 3-8 Republica FC 1-3 2-5
Dolphins 4-1 Geckos 3-1 1-0
Ravens 1-4 Vultures 1-2 0-2
Lions 4-1 Parrots 1-0 3-1

The most notable events of the Quarterfinals were Republica FC dominating Legion in a rematch of last year's Finals and the 4-1 aggregate victories for everybody else. The Dolphins beating the Geckos was the only real surprise, although it wasn't much of one. The team that was relegated from the APL last season overcame the team that took their spot. Now, the Dolphins were the only remaining club that would be a surprise Cup winner and it looked more and more likely that one of the major clubs in the APL would hoist the Cup this year.

Semifinals
The team listed first is at home in the score listed first.
Republica FC 8-8 Lions 6-4 2-4
Dolphins 6-4 Vultures 6-3 0-1

The Semifinals saw a pair of surprising results. While Lions beating Republica FC on away goals was only a minor surprise, the victory by the Dolphins against the Vultures was absolutely shocking. Dolphins would win the home leg 6 to 3 before dropping the away leg by a goal to nil. The Vultures needed to win by at least a 3 goal margin. By failing to do so, the Dolphins, a team that had just been relegated to the Second Division, advanced to the Cup final, putting their entire Division on notice.

Finals
The team listed first is at home in the score listed first.
Lions 2-1 Dolphins 1-0 1-1

However, the Lions would take the 4th Acedonian Cup. After an early goal proved to be enough to take the opening leg, the Lions fell behind early against the Dolphins. It looked like they would force a replay, but an 83rd minute goal would clinch it for the Lions. The Lions are now the Acedonian Cup winner and will compete in the next Cyngus Cup.

Fearless, and possibly clueless, predictions from Tyfskil Kuiz!

"Giddy from the title win, Deahpild will struggle off the bat this season, needing several weeks before they put their title race together. Nithgard, undistracted by their invitational thing failing to materialize, will strike first in an attempt to regain their title, and at the very least make it back to the top four.

After edging out their neighbors last season, Attereg GU will continue to rise, pushing for the CC and abandoning Numa to mid-table. The derbies will feature some goals, or something. Cheered on by their sincere, loyal, faithful, and football-loving fans, Brayntel TU will return to the Globe Cup places. Brandith GU might also not quite make the CC, but intimdate everyone else into doing their will. Parkatsee's success is unsustainable, and they'll backslide.

On the other end of the table, more big names will fall, with a weakened Ousteeble struggling to stay up. Perntav Marna's lavish dreams won't help them, but their plucky archrivals, Ungalb Gultpyret, might just be able to hold on. Some derby wins could help with that. Stirvik TU, without Reaven Laynee, will continue to slip, and none of their interim managers will see the year out.

Someone will have to get promoted, of course, but the Devsgrybe sides will be too busy beating each other up to challenge in the second division. Assertham might pull it off, although, they're probably cursed, so who knows.

While I'd love to predict good news for Stivarnel GU, the kinder, gentler Bloyben side, having Ronthand so far adrift in the second division means poor Stivarnel will have nothing to play for, even with Marvin Markinson added to the mix. This could be ugly. Damian Balnerii, snapped up from relegated Buzhrumpus, might meanwhile struggle to fit in at Retatyn.

As for the new players; Daved Velten of Munnerput is the most likely to get his name turned into a slightly straining chant, Frantzko Intxausti (Attereg) is the most likely to spawn a series of misspelled knockoff jerseys, and Hervé Torres (Rogglebo) the most likely to get alcohol poisoning. Wait, that actually happened."

aaaand before Kuiz starts sounding too knowledgeable or anything, I'll--what?

"Okay, one more prediction; between Jordan Lovato (Brynag) and Ruben Chernienko (Stirvik), local fans will be too engaged watching actual youngsters compete in the actual league to care about the 'Youth Cup.'"

...

With the quarterfinal stage of that new competition upon us, care to reconsider?

"Oh, all right, all right. Parkatsee versus Deahpild, in a match sure to thrill the neutrals who adore obscene excesses of architecture and/or hooliganism. I suppose in terms of populist appeal, it's Deahpild who'll pull it out, with support flowing freely from the rowdy visitors. The kids are learning how to attack like their adult counterparts, so look for plenty of goals from Tavoy Varnel or Ile Tearlilee."

...

Well, then.

"All right, so Parkatsee can score. Shouldn't have underestimated Dandra Harris, there in midfield--they can rely on shots from distance rather than mount full-on attacks themselves. Despite their defensive emphasis, that could prove to be their downfall, however. When they play more at the back, goalkeepers like Hensin Nilkarn don't really get to prove themselves, and will be vulnerable if pressed."

...

Perhaps not.

"All right, all right, but come on, it can't last...Astograth University, those kids learning to be very defensive-minded, they'll be impossible to break down. And with the need to focus on working together rather than just putting together a collection of stars, they'll park the bus if they have to...I mean I have nothing against public transportation...but it still pollutes...not like the Parkatsee fans care, the jerks...oh, have we started?"

...

I'm not sure why I'm bothering at this point, but anything to add before we go into the last weekend of the season?

"Well, what can I say? I was wrong about Parkatsee, wasn't I? And with the kids coming back, momentum is on their side. What a bizarre fixture list; they have the chance to win the title right here with a head-to-head showdown on the last day! The first leg was a draw, but the tide is all Parkatsee's now, and they'll get a win by two goals to cap off this season in dramatic style. As for Nithgard, they'll get their win to clinch a CC spot as well--this'll consign Munnerput to eighth, but so what. Also tied with Munnerput, and also probably going down, are Ungalb Tratbongent; they're playing Passkay, who want those three points to stay up, and they've shown enough heart that I think they can manage."

Well.

Huh.

About that.

VILITAN LEAGUE ANNOUNCES LOWER LEVEL PLAY-IN SERIES

After years of allowing a behind-the-scenes selection process decide which teams had earned the right to compete in the Vilitan League were put to shame in the eyes of the public by the inclusion of the unheralded upstart Sporta Eelandii, the Vilitan League has announced that a new competition will be formed to determine, on the pitch, which two teams would replace those relegated from the Vilitan Declasse.

While many experts are actually predicting that Sporta Eelandii could become the first Turorian club in over 10 seasons to actually avoid the one-and-done drop due to the political influence and signing power that likely earned them their place in the league to begin with, the public reaction was none-the-less heard loud and clear by Vilitan League officials.

Coupled with the prospect of new money being introduced into the league, the Association of clubs of Vilita & Turori have agreed to partner with Quasi-Governmental entity Tropicorp who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the first officially recognized lower-level to be added to the Vilitan League structure.

While clubs outside the top flights of the Vilitan game have always contested against each other, they have done so completely segregated from the Top 28 clubs knowing that it would be their performance in the Vilitan Cup, intermingled with those 28 clubs, and not necessarily their performance against each other that would earn them recognition and a chance to make a name for themselves with an invitation to the league system.

That will no longer by the case in Season 43 however as 30 of the top Non-League clubs will compete against each other for a place in the Tropicorp Cup, a 4 team single-elimination stroke of genius envisioned by Tropicorp officials.

In the newly announced format, the 30 clubs that comprise the 'Tropicorp Lower League' will play each other just one time throughout the season with the home venue randomly drawn. After each team has played each other once, the top 4 teams comprising the league table will be invited to the Tropicorp Cup which will be played over 2 days at the brand new Tropicorp Field. The first day of matches would see the Top team in the table play the 4th place team while the 2nd and 3rd placed teams would also square off. The winners of those matches would earn promotion to the Vilitan Declasse Division for the following season, as well as earn a place in the Tropicorp Cup Final to be played the following day.

Image

It turns out, the idea for the Tropicorp Cup was that of a lone Tropicorp Employee. The employee was in fact in charge of the project that was to build the Tropicorp Field - intended to be the home stadium of Tropicorp FC who were to contest the inaugural season of the NationStates Premier League. However, when that league folded, both the future of the club and the stadium project looked bleak. This patron convinced Tropicorp management that the unrest surrounding the Eelandii inclusion for Season 43 had opened up an opportunity for Tropicorp to step in and get their name out in front of the Vilitan and Turorian citizens in a positive light - and, of course, give Tropicorp FC the chance to earn a place in the Vilitan League, as there was no way the Associations of Vilita & Turori were going to vote an unproven Tropicorp entity into the league just one season after the backlash surrounding the Eelandii invitation.

The 30 teams selected for the Initial Tropicorp Lower Leagues required no approval from the Associations of Vilita & Turori, although the agreement was that the teams should be "Representative of the best the Non-League ranks had to offer, and representing all regions in which the associations compete". Tropicorp officials took that to mean that each Vilita & Turori land mass had to be represented with 19 clubs from the main Island of Vilita, 5 clubs from Turori, 4 from Turoki Island and one club each representing VOIA Island and Tropicorp.

Of course, former Stellar Division side Morata Valley were the most well known of the 30 clubs to contest while many minnows such as VOIA's Orbital Kickers also made the cut. With 30 teams contesting the matches, there was plenty of room for turnover with the 2 Tropicorp Cup finalists going up to be replaced by the two sides relegated from the Declasse and the 5 bottom clubs in the single-robin table losing their place for the following season to be replaced by the top performing non-selected sides. While the league will not be directly operated by the Association of clubs of Vilita & Turori, there is an 'indefinite arrangement' agreed for two teams from the Tropicorp Lower League to replace the two relegated sides from the Vilitan Declasse on a seasonal basis.

Additionally, the final Tropicorp Lower League table will be used to determine final placement for Vilita & Turori association clubs, with the first place team in the table given the 29th ranking on the season, and on down from there.

**First Season in Stellar Division

OPENING DAY SUMMARY:

Turoki United opened up their title defense with what should have been an easy 3 points in front of a National audience, the night before opening day in prime time. Hosting Lonngeylin City, who have been hanging on to their Stellar Division lives having narrowly avoided relegation during Season 42 with a 12th place finish, it was supposed to be a night of partying, unveiling championship banners and painting the walls Turoki United blue. While all those things did indeed happen, the night ended on a bit of a sour note as a stingy Lonngeylin City defense held Turoki United to a single goal and equalized with one of their own on a 25th minute corner kick to steal the point from the defending champs.

Cednia Beach AFC v. Makosile United :: After a strong Season 42 campaign that saw them return to the Top 4 and challenge Mliona-Lpaka for the title of Turori's best, Cednia Beach AFC made more offseason moves to bolster their side including the blockbuster signing of Polar Islandstates World Cup Final Man of the Match Eikr Lillehammer. Makosile United, on the other hand, were coming off their worst Stellar Division performance since season 32 and looking to rebound and re-enter the top half of the table.

Lillehammer got involved quickly in front of his new-home-field-fans at the Cednia Beach center, setting up Sirkii Moliaudo's 15th minute opener. Makosile were equalling their opponents in midfield however and were getting chances of their own, converting the equalizer 10 minutes later through Ichi Tuzzio and the match would remain level through the half. Cednia Beach's 18 year old Turorian defender Oani Moralziia exited the match in the 68th minute after receiving a yellow card but neither side could find a way through and the two sides would settle for a point each.

Elsewhere, the Turoki Tide upended a rebuilding Strike FC squad 1-0 while the Yeaddin Owls marked their return to the top flight with a 1-1 draw against Lonngeylin Coast.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 6:
After a disappointing draw on the opening matchday, Turoki United rebounded with a 3-0 victory at the Lirai Asku Castle on Matchday 2.

Strike FC finally got their first win of the season on Matchday 3, putting the pieces together and coming away with a 3-0 victory over a struggling Arcticala Inlet. Friekder Dandalleion converted a 64th minute penalty after Aranora Jaded was sent off.

Mliona-Lpaka Turori v. Cednia Beach AFC :: Draugwe Nororon starred in net as Mliona-Lpaka AFC took their place atop the table with their fourth win in the opening four matches - this one of utmost importance as they cemented their stance in the Turorian derby in front of the home crowd fans at the Iobabao Legendary Park. Mliona-Lpaka held on to a 2-point advantage over defending champions Turoki United who were on a three-match winning streak following their opening matchday draw.

Jungle Strike FC v. Mliona-Lpaka Turori :: After being buoyed by the big home win over their Turorian Rivals, Mliona-Lpaka marched into the Lonngeylin Coliseum and marched out with all 3 points in a thrilling match to stay perfect on the season. Wightling refugee Lorccan Cotterill opened the scoring for the Venom 12 minutes in but Mliona-Lpaka scored 3 straight goals to put the pressure on the home side. Miiara Makose scored on a 75th minute corner kick to keep the tension high but Mliona-Lpaka held on as they began to think about winning their own Stellar Division title.

Turoki United were held by Turoki Isle in the first of four Turoki Derby's, falling to third in the table behind Lonngeylin Coast while Nycflala Kater's Kiiara-Torra AFC struggled without a point after five matches.

Mliona-Lpaka Turori v. Lonngeylin Coast :: Mliona-Lpaka dropped their first points of the season in a goalless draw against second-placed Lonngeylin Coast on matchday 6, allowing defending champions Turoki United to climb back into the top 2.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 10:
Mliona-Lpaka suffered their first loss of the season on Matchday 7, a 2-0 defeat to the Turoki Tide which narrowed their lead atop the table to a single point.

The 'Tide continued to mount their challenge up the table with a confident 3-0 victory on Matchday 8 that moved them up to 4th in the table while Turoki United took sole possesion of 2nd place with a 2-0 victory at home against 3rd place Lonngeylin Coast.

Cednia Beach AFC v. Turoki Isle :: With National Rivals Mliona-Lpaka perched atop the Stellar Division table, a resurging Cednia Beach AFC had to strive even higher if they were to re-gain the title of Turori's best. The Coconuts sent a serious message on Matchday 9, firing four goals past Turoki Isle - goals from Tripate Falcon, Eikr Lillehammer and Sirkii Moliaudo to climb to 3rd place in the table, 5 points back of the lead.

THROUGH MID-SEASON:

Mliona-Lpaka slipped from atop the table for the first time after being held to a goalless draw on Matchday 11 by the Yeaddin Owls. Turoki United, 2-0 winners over bottom side Arcticala Inlet leapfrogged to the top of the table while Cednia Beach AFC closed the gap further in the third position with an impressive 1-0 result over Strike FC on Eikr Lillehammer's 5th goal of the season.

The Mliona-Lpaka slide continued on Matchday 12 with a 1-1 draw against Lonngeylin Coast while Cednia Beach AFC recorded a 1-0 victory over Lonngeylin Coast to move into the second position. Meanwhile, the Turoki Tide were upset in the Turoki derby against Turoki Isle losing ground on the Top 4 and only 1 point ahead of Strike and Jlinal Cove who were joint 5th.

Mliona-Lpaka AFC v. Turoki United :: It was all leading up to the final match before the break - perhaps once again a piece of foreshadowing brilliance by the schedulers. The Iobaboa Legendary Park was packed as Mliona-Lpaka looked to oust Turoki United from the top of the table. Instead, however, it was Turoki United who incredibly re-asserted their dominance. After Merlin Salomon's opener 5 minutes in for the home side, it was all Turoki as the defending champions rounded out the 3-1 victory to keep the lead at the season's halfway point.

The lead was extended to two points as Cednia Beach AFC slipped up with a draw against the 5th placed Turoki Tide while Strike FC maintained their 4th-place position with a 2-1 victory in the Lonngeylin derby against Zelkki Milake and Lonngeylin Coast.

At the bottom of the table it was looking bleak for Arcticala Inlet. The first club ever to win both the Declasse and Stellar division titles was looking more likely to get a second crack at the second level after going winless in the first half of the season and propping up the table along with perennial strugglers Lonngeylin City.

With Strike struggling to keep pace atop the Stellar Division despite a slew of new international signings, they were dealt a shocking blow from career Venom defender Miiara Makose who left the club at mid season to take the Vacant manager's position at Arcticala Inlet. Following in the footsteps of one of the great all-time Strike players, Callum Banda, Makose could see his career at Strike winding down with the addition of young defensive minded players such as Rico Matthews of Yttriba, Benjamin Koenig of Starblaydia and Turori's Tarek Edgeli. Arcticala Inlet were winless and sitting at the bottom of the table at the time Makose took on the herculean task of not only rescuing the club from the drop, but navigating them back up into the UICA qualifying places by seasons end.

In transfer news, Legalese forward Xavier Boyle made the biggest splash by abandoning ship at Mliona-Lpaka and swimming ashore in the Jlinal Cove. Boyle was struggling to find a place in the starting lineup at Mliona-Lpaka who were 4 points ahead of Jlinal Cove, the two sides fighting for a place in the UICA Champions Cup.

No sooner did Miiara Makose take charge at Arcticala Inlet than did he make his first signings, completing a double swoop bringing in Turorian Inlite Makakio from Makosile and snagging Kiiara-Torra's top Vilitan prospect Kiliko Riazen.

OPENING DAY SUMMARY:
The two newly promoted teams squared off on the opening matchday in what would surely be a precursor to the relegation battle. Sporta Eelandii, the new Turorian side making their league debut had the fame of Turori National Team forward Loala Kigoouao - also serving as Assistant Manager, and the Turorian youngster Teliima Loinara. However, it was Crosaibi who got the last word in a 1-0 victory that would give them a leg up in the race for survival.

Inland Peaks v. Marine Coast United :: Many eyes were focused on the National View Stadium in Morata Valley where Inland Peaks would host Marine Coast United in what would seem to be an important early season match with title implications. The loss of Polarian defender Vauxhall Jansen to Makosile was going to weaken the Peaks roster but Marine Coast United had lost a key defender of their own when Tarek Edgeli jumped ship to the bright lights of the Champions Cup and Jungle Strike FC. The match itself was far from a classic but in the end Tobias Toft's clean sheet allowed Inland Peaks to hold on in a 1-0 result.

The real eye-opener however came at the Sissil Bank stadium where Ramsissil obliterated Corra Rovers 5-0 tying the most lopsided result in Declasse Division history previously set by Kionao Locals over Mavaloiao. The Ramms, who haven't played in the Stellar Division since Season 9, propelled themselves into the promotion conversation emphatically with their opening matchday win.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 8:

Sporta Eelandii got their first ever league victory in an upset result over Kiiarana City on Matchday 3, with a first half goal from the Amateur player Ugioa Komade making the difference, the forward besting Storm Enshadilsa in a one on one opportunity to make history in Eelandii.

Kionao Locals v. FC Almintora :: The Kionao Locals seemed to have no intention of sticking around for another season in the Declasse division, Lita Adjei putting the topper on a 4-0 victory over rivals FC Almintora. The result levelled the all time series between the two Turorian rivals. In 46 all-time matches, each club has recorded 13 victories while 20 matches have ended in a draw.

Rammsissil suffered a surprise Matchday 7 defeat to then bottom-side FC Almintora to get knocked off the top of the table, the unbeaten youngsters at the Alikki-Corra academy moving to the top as they looked to rebound following their Season 42 Stellar Division relegation.

THROUGH MID-SEASON:

Alikki-Corra AFC v. Kionao Locals :: A pair of goals by Altimo Ueboa were enough to overcome a 56th minute penalty and give leaders Alikki-Corra a 2-1 victory in a top-of-the-table clash with Turori's Kionao Locals as the Alikki-Corra academy looked to return to the top flight at the first attempt after their Season 42 relegation.

The slide continued for Lita Adjei's Kionao Locals on Matchday 12 in an exciting 3-2 match won by Marine Coast United. Marine Coast United captain Endur Rotropii took matters into his own hands with the game winner in the 80th minute pulling Coast to within 4 points of the promotion places.

At the bottom of the table, newcomers Eelandii had fallen behind, although just two points from 12th and the allure of safety. Nevertheless, not looking to become just another name on the long list of "one and done" Turorian sides in the Declasse, it was time for a manager change and Sporta Eelandii decided to search for an international manager to lead them back to safety.

Jungle Strike FC got goals from Tarek Edgeli, Lorccan Cotterill and Friekder Dandalleion pumelling Non-League side Surf Jettica while fellow Non-leaguers Spear Cape could only manage a consolation goal in their 3-1 defeat to Kiiara-Torra who were led by a Thunderlane brace.

Inland Peaks and the Yeaddin Owls were also knocked out in single-goal defeats.

Vilitan Cup Round of 16:
Making his debut for his new club, Jlinal Cove, Legalite forward Xavier Boyle got the last laugh over his old club, Mliona-Lpaka AFC, converting an 89th minute penalty kick to send the match into extra time, then scoring in the penalty shootout as Jlinal Cove knocked out Mliona-Lpaka.

The only two remaining non-league sides, Jaguar Moreda and Morata Valley, also saw their runs end in the Round of 16.

VILITAN TRANSFER WINDOW OPENS

Clubs of the Vilitan League, a top 10 League in the UICA rankings, are now allowed to buy/sell players to prepare for the second half of the season:

Image
:: BUYING :: Jungle Strike FC, 16 times champion of the Vilitan Stellar Division and a Top 5 ranked club in the World already added some new names during the pre-season but are looking to add more as they fight to retain their place in the Champions Cup.

With Audioslavian World Cup hero Kajaxo Imaslavii aging, Strike FC are searching for a future Goalkeeping Superstar to act as a protegee to the former World #1. If Interested, please TG [Vilita] with a proposal.

Image
:: BUYING :: Barely hanging on to a top-half position in the table, Makosile United are looking for some fire power to help them keep up with the top teams in the Vilitan League.

Makosile are in search of an attacking partner for Audioslavia's Vucidini Zekani or a playmaking midfielder who can deliver the ball to the front. If Interested, please TG [Vilita] with a proposal.

Image
:: MANAGER :: Sporta Eelandii Nationals, the Vilitan League's newest club, is in danger of becoming its latest casualty if results don't improve over the second half of the season.

Sporta Eelandii are looking to fill their managerial Vacancy with virtually any coach with enough drive and ambition to take the club off the bottom of the table. If Interested, please TG [Vilita] with a proposal.

Image
:: BUYING :: Within striking distance of a return to the top flight, the defense-minded Inland Peaks FC need just that - a striker who can provide the goals to turn draws into wins.

The Peaks would prefer an Under-21 or budding young National Team prospect that can grow along with the team into bigger and better things. If Interested, please TG [Vilita] with a proposal.

Image
:: BUYING :: Marine Coast United officials have reportedly tired of their clubs languishing fate. Early champions of the Stellar Division, Marine Coast United haven't been competitive in the modern era. Fighting for a return to the top flight, club officials would like to invest now before they miss their chance at a top flight return.

Budget has reportedly been made available for up to three new signings. Marine Coast United are reportedly also keeping one eye on the new Tropicorp Lower Leagues, potentially looking to pounce on some of the international calibre players currently playing at Tropicorp FC. If Interested, please TG [Vilita] with a proposal.

Image
:: SELLING :: Kiiarana's wage bill struggles continue as they look to offload former Vilitan National team midfielder Astara Daiili. The 35 year old reportedly believes he has at least one more top-flight season in him, and would consider a move abroad if no Stellar Division team enquires about his services. If Interested, please TG [Vilita] with a proposal.

At the midway point of the 5th UICA-affiliated season of the Acedonian Premier League, Republica FC were the surprise leaders in a season where Vultures were expected to run away with the APL. Vultures did have 8 draws already, which kept them in 4th place behind Warriors by a point and tied with Ravens. Republica FC were clear by 5 points, giving them a 2 and a half match advantage over the rest of the league. On the bottom end, it looked like a 3-way race between the Parrots, Geckos and Cardinals was developing for relegation. However, Commissioner Achillios Kenteris announced at midseason that the top 2 teams in the expanded Second Division would have the opportunity to earn promotion to the APL. However, he later clarified his statement, informing fans that the bottom 2 in the Premiership would face the top 2 in the Second Division in home-and-away relegation playoffs. However, this only applied to teams being relegated out of or promoted to the Premier League. While it was a transparent money-grabbing move, it was also done in the interest of helping the financially struggling Second Division. Now, 4 clubs would be guaranteed a packed stadium for a meaningful match at the end of the season. This meant that Premier League teams now had to finish in the top 10 to avoid risking relegation in a Cup-style playoff tie.

As the APL season entered the final quarter, Republica FC maintained the equivalent of a 3 win advantage over Vultures. Vultures and Ravens also seemed to be assured of UICA berths while Warriors, Rhinos, Wolves, Falcons and Lions were battling it out for that final berth. On the bottom end, Geckos were 4 points behind Cardinals and Parrots, who were tied for the final relegation place. Everything would come down to what would surely be an eventful final quarter of the season.

Republica FC ran away with the title down the stretch, eventually securing a championship by an 11 point margin. Meanwhile, the battle for the last UICA berth came down to the final day's match between the Rhinos and the Lions. The Lions needed a win to earn a UICA berth, but the Rhinos were able to hold onto possession while doing absolutely nothing in the match, to force a nil-nil draw that sent them through to UICA. On the final day, Parrots beat Geckos 1 to nil to avoid a relegation playoff while Cardinals lost to Wolves 3 goals to 4. This meant that the Cardinals would play the second-placed team from the Second Division while the Geckos would play the Second Division champions. Whichever nation won the tie would earn a spot in the APL next year while the other nation would be eliminated.

At the midpoint of the 4th UICA-affiliated season of the Acedonian Second Division and the first Second Division campaign under the new format, Dolphins maintained a 3 point advantage over the second placed Legion and a 5 point advantage over third. Under the new format, the top 2 in the Second Division now qualified for home-and-away playoff ties against the bottom 2 in the Premier League. This meant that there was no longer a guarantee that a Premier League side would, in fact, be relegated, but it also meant that up to 2 Second Division sides could move up per season. However, Second Rision sides were still assured that one of them would be relegated to the Third Division. With no expansion of the Premier League planned, there would be no reprieve for whichever team earned relegation this year.

With just 5 matches to go, the Dolphins had just clinched a UICA berth and were out to a commanding 7 point lead, which put them 3 and a half wins ahead of the rest of the Second Division. Their +32 goal differential was also, by far, the best in the Division at this point. Nobody wanted to finish last in the Premier League because the Dolphins were so dominant that they looked like a mid-table Premier League side. They were expected to win their likely postseason playoff tie with little difficulty and earn a spot in the Premiership next year. At the bottom, the Jaguars were now 5 points back of the Turkeys and 8 back of the Pandas, all but assuring that the Jags would, in fact, be relegated this year.

In the end, it all came down to the final day of the season. While the Dolphins defeated the Walruses, the Legion could not capitalize as they played the lowly Turtles to a 2-2 draw. As a result, the Walruses advanced to the Promotion/Relegation Playoffs. The Jaguars went out with a whimper, finishing with just 4 wins, 5 draws and 21 defeats. Meanwhile, the Dolphins lost just 3 times, once to the Vipers, Hippos and Zebras, as they won the Division in dominant fashion. The Dolphins, Walruses, Legion and Vipers all qualified for UICA, with the Hippos falling just a point short of a tie for 4th place. Now, only the Promotion/Relegation Playoff series needed to be played.

Promotion/Relegation Playoffs
The team listed first is at home in the score listed first.
Walruses 1-2 Cardinals 1-1 0-1
Geckos 1-5 Dolphins 1-4 0-1

Therefore, the Dolphins and Cardinals will compete in next year's Premier League, while the Walruses and Geckos will compete in the Second Division.

New SchiavOne
Season 1

After a gap of over 60 years, the SchiavOne has reformed and recommenced the practice of domestic football in Schiavonia.

Previously, Schiavonia had teams from all across its forty-six islands, inhabited by millions. Last time around, it had eight teams which anyone and everyone were allowed to play in. Now, of course, Schiavonia has a population approaching seven-hundred, so to keep standards high, the islanders have been split into just two teams.

Monarchs are named after the first ever SchiavOne champions, Kingsbury Monarchs. They will tend to have players with more English sounding names.

Yellow Stars take their name from the star on the Schiavone flag. They tend to have players with a more diverse ethnic background.

The two teams will play each other a number of times over the course of two years, and the winner will be the team with the most points. Which, in a two-team league, will be the one with the most wins.

Twenty-six weeks of the year are dedicated to football in Schiavonia, which is played at The Field. In this period, all international games, international tournaments and domestic games must be played. International Club competitions are currently outside of this limitation, as these tournaments will have teams playing twice weekly, rather than the once a week that is otherwise asked of them.

The season takes place over two years. Season one, though, has taken place in just a single year - the one shared with AOCAF 43. With six weeks dedicated to the tournament and preparation for it, twenty weeks are left over for the opening SchiavOne season. Here are some of the highlights...

MD1 - Yellow Stars 1-1 Monarchs The first game of the SchiavOne ends in a quite fitting draw. Also, the goals came from the most fitting sources, specifically the two major families in Schiavonia. Tony Cueto scored the first ever goal, scrambling through from midfield to give Yellow Stars the lead, before Benny Sanderson curled in a free kick to equalise for Monarchs.

MD9 - Yellow Stars 1–2 Monarchs Two goals from Aimee Bell gives Monarchs their second victory in a row, and puts them six points ahead of their rivals.

MD13 - Yellow Stars 2–0 Monarchs The form of Viliaka O'Connor proves vital in steadying Yellow Stars. Three successive clean sheets - along with seven goals scored - brings Yellow Stars three wins in a row, and puts them atop the table.

MD17 - Yellow Stars 1–2 Monarchs Three wins on the bounce sees Monarchs pull six points clear again - the power of Conrad Hogan proving decisive on this occasion.

MD19 - Yellow Stars 1–2 Monarchs Needing a win to stay in with a chance of becoming champions, Yellow Stars push for victory, but concede a late goal to John Blige which seals the title for Monarchs with a game to spare.

New SchiavOne 1 Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Monarchs 20 8 7 5 24 24 0 31
2 Yellow Stars 20 5 7 8 24 24 0 22

So Monarchs win the title by nine points, despite the points being level with five games to go. Yellow Stars finish runners-up, but will be looking to improve upon that next season. Also, both teams have qualified for UICA competition (what with each nation having four places, it was inevitable that they would.)

With the close season setting in, the SFF are looking to have the entire Schiavone national team squad playing regular club football. While most positions have two players each, there are three named goalkeepers. As a result, one of Schiavonia's keepers is expected to move overseas in the close season. There are rumours that this could be Viliaka O'Connor, as his comparitive youth and slower ageing would make him a great talent to develop. If this were to happen, then the SFF would move Julio Howard across to face his old team mates next season. However, while the SFF have not confirmed that they have completed a deal with a top international side for O'Connor's services, they are also very slow in denying it.

Republic of Northern Sunrise Islands at the Champions' Cup qualifiers.

² Won trophy under different name:
Mabel Wigglytuffs: Mabel Oilers
Stilwater City: Stilwater Saints

After the Starfox fell twice on their road to a possible trophy, the Sunrise once again seems to have caught the attention of foreigners with their intense and long (really, really long, it's more than 50 games for just one season, guys) action. Now, let's see what Arceus brings us, shall we?

AFONSE BATTALION
R. De Menses; Hy (APX), Batuta [C], Morais, Steele (NSB); F. De Menses, Desmaru (SIC), Brigadeirinho, Adamântio; Wu (STB), Xusparra
Hometown: Afonse, Amy
Stadium: Falcon Stadium (35,000)
Off-Season Moves:
IN Kelly Wu (FW, Starblaydia, from Gama Filho [Junior League]), Ponuma Iaukea (LB, from Maori Chiefs), Xoba Xusparra (FW, from Unixas Surxvit [then-Colonial League]), Psicopasa (OM, Huelandia, from Taurus Aldebaran [HUE]), Mejodepo (FW, Huelandia, from Taurus Aldebaran [HUE])
OUT Batuta Júnior (CF, to Montfort University [TLI]), Ieda LaSalleaux (CF, to Ardross City)
The loss of Andressa de Souza has been, unarguably, the biggest bite inside the Falcon Stadium's side when the National Team player left the squad for a stint at Southwind HC at the United Hoofball League and the post-season wasn't exactly generous with the squad. Batuta Júnior preferred a move to Montfort University, leaving an unarguably pathetic forward couple (later on causing LaSalleaux to drop as she preferred to avoid playing with David Batista, who's now considering a move to Patinsball, of all sports) for the smaller team of Amy Island at the top tier. Thankfully, things took a turn for the best when Kelly Wu accepted to be signed by the Battalion and later on, Xoba Xusparra decided to leave her Colonial League-side Unixas Surxvit from Aonx to be the first player from the colonies to be signed up at the top tier. Other additions such as Psicopasa and Mejodepo make the roster a bit more interesting.
Predicted Position: Last season, with one of their best squads ever, they ended up in the lower middle of the ride. I think it's safe to say that this season will probably see them just landing at the same place. Better safe than sorry, to be honest.

BOSTON UNITED
Vibe (FLO); van Hallen (FLO), Mussum Jr., Ignjovski (NUS), Chang; Ceren (SJG), Guerra, Welfare, Rafinha; Dong Lee (FLX), Castro (SJG)
Hometown: Boston, New Capitalia
Stadium: Hitchman Road (50,000)
Off-Season Moves:
IN Kevin van Hallen (LB, Flock Nation, from SC Lillehammer [FLO]), Ledia Pasarva (GK, from Barbara College), Renée Molieux (CB, from Vaudrey), Olim Kariakis (DM, from Apotos University), Marine Hellena (MUL, from Zanetti [Junior League])
OUT Jacky Daniels (CB, Demonocracy of Metal, retired)
Normally a no nonsense squad, Boston United didn't change a lot to go straight to this season. Considering how their last season wasn't exactly brilliant to start, it's mystifying how this side simply decided to make weak moves off-season. Jacky Daniels, one of the original U-21 Zombies that played the first season of NSI decided to retire to form a Gospel band at Northern Sunrise Islands; countering with the signing of simple center-back from Vaudrey, Renée Molieux. Basically, the biggest move they made was the signing of Kevin van Hallen from Futurnian football, which basically means they just poke up some pieces up and down.
Predicted Position: I don't see them falling apart, but I say it's sorta hard to see them going far. It would be a swerve from destiny if these guys went on to win it.

Image
BRENTWOOD CHARIZARDS
Nije; Brass, Datuamong (ALI) [C], Pablo (SGT), Keith; Júlio Carnavalense, Navarro, Vorti, Church; Fuego (FFD), Tír (FFD)
Hometown: Brentwood, Solar
Stadium: Whipwreck Stadium (45,000)
Off-Season Moves:
IN Lorenzo Fuego (FW, Farfadillis, from Mowling Arcanines), Maria Lokshina (OM, from Tokyoto A&M), Ludum Dare (DM, from Barbara College), Sova Lalajna (LB, New United Soviet States, from West Mardi [Junior League])
OUT N/A
The Charizards continue to gather weaponry to attack! Farf prospect Lorenzo Fuego has finally negotiated his way in a better team, while Brentwood decided to feed themselves with some NSICA talent, bringing under-looked but always dangerous Lokshina and Dare to their squad.
Predicted Position: Fans expect a bit more from last season, so we suppose that the Charizards are going to be a bit better this time around, with Fuego being the main guy.

Image
BYRD SPITFIRES
Burke; Serrano, Byrd Jr., Maria Antonieta, Marks; Rrhaolez (FFD), Tiago Pereira, James, Flemming; Janka (PAS) [C], Kiessling (FLO)
Hometown: Byrd City
Stadium: General Byrd Memorial Stadium (41,000)
Off-Season Moves:
IN Yui Kazanari (LB, from Tokyoto A&M), Edward Hoffenheimer (LB, Flock Nation, from Dartmut FK [FLO]), Joseph Yavarov (GK, from Corneria University), Alexia Kiessling (FW, Flock Nation, from Dartmut FK [FLO])
OUT N/A
Highly regarded as a side that has improved in recent seasons, the Spitfires seem to be looking forward to this season after making a couple of additions to their squad, most important replacing Ricardo del Rio for the young forward that put Dartmut FK at the top of the Flockian league pyramid, Alexia Kiessling.
Predicted Position: It's still the same dangerous team from before. If anything, the top is what they should expect.

Image
CARNIVAL CITY SAMBA
Rêlev (FFD); Mêni, Lucas Rosas, Baumgartner, Elson; Marina Rangel, Tabasco [C], Tuva, Taiane; Combi, Bra Zi Il (CHN)
Hometown: Carnival City
Stadium: Estádio Osvaldo Félix de Souza "Dedicado de Jequié" (65,000)
IN Ronnie Lightfoot (MUL, from Coldfox [Junior League], Half-Lopunny), Pretesco (DM, from Gama Filho [Junior League])
OUT Péricles (CM, retired)
Carnival City Samba didn't really have anyone in mind to pick and reinforce their squad from last season's decent run, so as good as the team normally is ethically, they decided to bring in a Half-Lopunny to play for them. Now, as much as everyone tends to look sideways when male Pokémon of certain species, such as Gardevoir and Lopunny, pop up around, the presence of Lightfoot may become more of an issue than a helpful addition, given how he wasn't exactly good at the Junior League and most of the stuff about him are about he as a Half-Lopunny. A bench member retired and another Huelandese Sunrisian appears at their squad, in the shape of Pretesco, who played for a respectable Gama Filho squad.
Predicted Position:Well, one can go so far with his own luck. Maybe this could be a good time for their squad to actually go and do something, before they are taken to where they should end up going anyways.

Image
CRASSWEIL HOUNDOOMS
Sena Madureira [C]; Lucius, Mackenzie, Fâixý (FFD), Morgan (TIS); Álvarez, Lozano, Díaz, Renato Machado; Francisco de Souza, Matthews (NSB)
Hometown: Crassweil, Ayeville
Stadium: Nattie Hart Stadium (44,000)
IN Mary Lynn (FW, from Davencreek Victinis)
OUT N/A
Crassweil had a season that went wrong, but they remain rather ambitious about it. They still have a rather good squad and the addition of Mary Lynn didn't hurt anyone, really. The squad at the Nattie Hart Stadium should put something on the table if they want to get serious, though.
Predicted Position: Top-Table. Don't ask, just beware.

Image
DARVESTON CITY
Ërôõf (FFD); Bronckhorst, Cor Von, Bârr (FFD) [C], Lin (CHN); McElroy, Freudenthal, Esdras, Stack; Coronado, Yuanche (CHN)
Hometown: Darveston City
Stadium: Islander Stadium (55,500)
IN Sainta Lin (RB, Chun-nan, from University of Stilwater), Joaninha (RB, from Davencreek Victinis), Partick Noble (GK, from Ajéan [Junior League])
OUT Slein Draagyn (CB, to Stemanisis [YTT])
A fairly talented squad came out from the Sunrisian Championship B on top, but it's hard to say whether they will be able to addapt to the pace of the league. Again, bringing Sainta Lin was a smart move, at least; but it's hard to say they are fish inside the bowl when you have a couple of other choices that could make more noise around.
Predicted Position: Relegation. It's hard to play in this league and these guys seem to be one of the few that will be able to prove that.

Image
GRANGER DRAGONITES
Tridente; Van der Post (FLO), K. Kinsington, J. Kinsington, Samaro; Halvosso (APX), Blazing Fire (EQS) [C], M. Trakat, K. Trakat; Carlos, Roche
Hometown: Granger, Sunrice
Stadium: Granger Durandarena (55,000)
IN Chaman Etfoel (MUL, from Belle Epoquenne [Junior League])
OUT N/A
Last season's runners-up seem to be an appropriate pick for the title once again. Let's face it, when you manage to keep most of your squad in one piece and brings in just one guy to do some "enter-if-someone-gets-broke" job just translates to gold anyways.
Predicted Position: Eh, haven't you read it already?

Image
JAUNEPONT HÉRAULT
Minshull; Salmon (MNG), Iona, Zagarantis (QUE), Palazzo; Grey (NSB), Rekalde (AST) [C], Languedoc (QUE), Pantsman; Lampone (SIC), Travis
Hometown: Jaunepont, Arrendine
Stadium: Stade Jaune (70,000)
IN Michél Pantsman (OM, from Thunchester United), Shaqir (OM, Dainer, from Éclaireurs), Tetra (CF, Huelandia, from Atlético Mallandro)
OUT Namine Nagatomo (OM, to Ituraitz FC [AST])
They have the money, they have the squad. It's kinda surprising that Jaunepont let their chance fly last season. The loss of Namine Nagatomo was bad, but Kylx seemingly fixed stuff a bit from bringing Pantsman out of the lesser tiers and Shaqir out of Dainer. Tetra joins as a secret weapon to add up to their roster.
Predicted Position: Probably top of the league. It's a powerful squad with a (surprisingly) good coach.

Image
JOINVILLE DE DESPORTOS
Azogue; Leonor, Jurgen (DAI), Xupiter (DAI), Chei; Léo Carvalho, Maionesse (DAI), Tamina, Grimsby; Marcus Wallace [C], Equismen (DAI)
Hometown: Joinville, Juliana
Stadium: Estádio Ronaldo de Assis Moreira "Décimo Coelho" (60,000)
IN Marcus Wallace (CF, NHS of Mardi [Junior League])
OUT N/A
So, last season, Joinville got saved by a hair... what does the team do? Bring Marcus Wallace from the runners-up of last season's Junior League U-15 division. Even if Marcus Wallace is more of a "good guy that the national team of his level forgot of", we're still not sure if Joinville is going to be saved by just that guy.
Predicted Position: Relegation. Yeah, that's what it looks like.

Image
LYLAT STARFOX
Golden Glove (EQS); Granada (OSR), Spencer (OSR), Panther, Federyc (DAI); Shogun (MNG), Bonapart, Y. Yuiran (CHN), M. Yuiran (CHN); Landsberg (STB), Leléo
Hometown: Lylat, Corneria
Stadium: Corneria Park (70,000)
IN Chuleta (GK, Dainer, from Project +90)
OUT Oscar (CF, to Glenmount Town [TLI])
Oscar was, at least, a valluable piece of the Lylat Starfox squad. With that on mind, this is still the hottest team around following a title and two near wins at international level that would only be thwarted by Buyan's best team around. Starfox's flight could probably be even higher than last time, who knows?
Predicted Position: Back-to-Back Championship!

Image
LYNDER FROSLASSES
Wang (YES), Zabarte (AST), Lectern (NSB), Ness, Kanomisama; Thierry, Leandres (SAU), Samuel (SAU), Levesque; Rose (SAU) [C], Blaise (SAU)
Hometown: Lynder City
Stadium: Snowflake Stadium (60,000)
IN N/A
OUT N/A
Well, they had a good season last time around, breaking some of the sad results before that, so it's good to say that Lynder could repeat their performance and do well this season too. How they will guarantee that, on the other hand, is a bit harder than you'd imagine, though.
Predicted Position: Top-Table, like last season.

Image
MABEL WIGGLYTUFFS
Monette (SAU); Phaneuf, Shalandaerl (VAL), Comtois (SAU) [C], Bastian (DAI); Maupin (NOU), Esteberry (DAI), Thiaguinho (BEJ), Cleese; Travert (SAU), Usnavy (DAI)
Hometown: Mabel, Mazini
Stadium: Yukuno Stadium (57,500)
IN Afonsão (CB, Huelandia, from Buenos Aires [HUE])
OUT N/A
Mabel only changed their defense a bit with a Vanorian and that was it. They acquired a guy from Huelandia, but remains with a barely unchanged squad. After all, a 3rd place last season should be a good way to point out that their squad might be the one for this season.
Predicted Position: Championship

MALLWILL HITMONLEES
Alfacinha (BAR); Ituo, Edy Marfy (DAI), Kokomatawe (SAJ), Risen; Isaac (DAI), Matias, Gaitán (FFD), Amethyst; Hackett (YTT), Zebronique [C]
Hometown: Mallwill, Mardi
Stadium: Lee Stadium (50,000)
IN Aydan Hackett (ST, Yttribia, from Telino [YTT])
OUT Rodolphe Augustin (ST, Saugeais, to Selyne City Athenians)
The lack of Augustin is going to be a huge deal at Mallwill, for sure. The fact they brought Hackett in happens to have to do with that, but it's hard to say if this is going to be the thing that will keep them around for more time. Mallwill wasn't ever a team of great results, aside of some seasons, so it's sorta of a let's wait and see.
Predicted Position: Mid-Table to Relegation, it has that range.
