The Bible has set out rules and procedures for Marriage and the Church has set out many more. Most of these rules did not exist before the Bible at least in a codified form. This is what makes Marriage unique.

I asked for a source, not more baseless claims. Furthermore, marriage is not unique at all. It's as universal an institution as it gets. It has existed, and still exists, in all societies, even those that have never been exposed to Christianity, and the Christian ritual of matrimony is just one of countless different ones.
