<Koyro> (Democratic Koyro) NSG senate is a glaring example of why no one in NSG should ever have a position of authority
The Emerald Dawn wrote:"Considering Officer Krupke was patently idiotic to charge these young men in the first place, we're dropping the charges in the interest of not wasting any more of the Judiciary's time with farcical charges brought by officers who require more training on basic legal principles."

With the state of time this side of the portal sort of going awry, here (finally) are the results of the landmark 20th season (Only 20? Something's not right here.) of domestic football in Eastfield Lodge. Will RGS Athletic dominate proceedings again? Actually, yes, they probably will. Of course, the real question is who will take that coveted second Champions Cup spot. Will it be one of VLC FC and Norrion Rovers, or will another team pull off a surprise season and usurp two of the big three of Lodgertian football? Wait and see...

Premier Division Standings

Team P W D L For Ag +/- Pts
1 RGS Athletic 30 18 6 6 81 40 +41 60 C/CdC/TQCC
2 UR Town 30 15 9 6 50 25 +25 54 TQCC
3 VLC FC 30 16 5 9 35 24 +11 53 GC
4 Norrion Rovers 30 16 5 9 38 29 +9 53 GC
5 FM Town 30 14 7 9 62 32 +30 49 GC

6 Monksville United 30 11 12 7 35 30 +5 45
7 Tuntingone FC 30 12 9 9 43 34 +9 45
8 Olympia FC 30 12 6 12 36 47 -11 42
9 Seniors FC 30 8 13 9 35 32 +3 37
10 Half Boy FC 30 9 9 12 32 42 -10 36
11 Polkation FC 30 9 7 14 20 34 -14 34
12 Walston Brook Albion 30 8 10 12 16 29 -13 34
13 FC Tavernia 30 9 5 16 29 37 -8 32
14 YLW FC 30 6 10 14 32 55 -23 28 Relegated
15 SS City 30 6 9 15 18 42 -24 27 Relegated
16 Lodgertia United 30 6 8 16 29 59 -30 26 Relegated

So, at the top of the table, RGS Athletic have done it again, their 3-0 victory over VLC FC and UR Town's 1-0 loss to Monksville United on the penultimate matchday sealing the team's 12th (yes, 12th) league title in a row. Somehow, UR Town recovered from last season's near-relegation to reach second place, and be within one point of the leaders with two games to spare (having beaten them on matchday 28, and having the H2H advantage overall). But they choked at that point, and nearly lost it, only taking second place ahead of both Norrion and VLC by a solitary point in the end, with VLC botching the chance to take second by losing on the last day to relegation threatened FC Tavernia. The remaining Globe Cup place was taken by FM Town.
At the other end of the table, all three of the teams promoted last season (Half Boy FC, Polkation FC and FC Tavernia) all survived, although only just in FC Tavernia's case. Going down this time are YLW FC, on the third season after being promoted from the Second Division after two mid-table finishes; SS City go down in their second season since promotion, and Lodgertia United, champions of the second division two years ago, also failed to survive.

16 Losing The Game FC 30 4 9 17 21 44 -23 21 Relegated (C)

Nile Bridge, former stalwarts of the top flight and relegated last season, sort of curbstomped the opposition and topped the league with a whopping 16 point lead, in the process demonstrating that they should be too good to be relegated. Only time will tell. Royal Jam FC, also relegated last season, bounce straight back up, and joining the two in the top flight next season will be Farond United, a team who last season finished 13th in the Second Division. Xilon OC, who were relegated from the top flight last season, somewhat lost the plot, and just survived a second successive relegation by 2 points. Liginara round off the SBCC qualifiers, in their first season after being promoted from Imperial Division One.

Elsewhere:

Promoted from Imperial Division One: West Monurtag
Promoted from Colonial Division One: Pontifucia United, Pasturia FC

Relegated from Imperial Division One: White Star United, Thawmont Rovers, Klosertun Town
Promoted from Imperial Division Two: East Monurtag, Cillin Valley, Caldarin FC

Relegated from Colonial Division One: Fracitz AC, Silver Acres, Jam Athletic
Promoted from Colonial Division Two: Bronze Acres, Bliketia FC, Sunburbia FC

King's Commonwealth Cup:

Quarter-Finals:
VLC FC 0-1 Macaronia FC
Macaronia FC 0-2 VLC FC (1-2 agg)

Walston Brook Albion 1-0 RGS Athletic
RGS Athletic 3-1 Walston Brook Albion (3-2 agg)

Nile Bridge 1-1 Caldarin FC
Caldarin FC 1-1 Nile Bridge (1-1 aet, 2-2 agg, 3-4 PKs)

Low Lyn FC 0-2 UR Town
UR Town 5-1 Low Lyn FC (7-1 agg)

Semi-Finals:
VLC FC 3-1 UR Town
UR Town 2-1 VLC FC (4-3 agg)

RGS Athletic 4-2 Nile Bridge
Nile Bridge 1-0 RGS Athletic (4-3 agg)

Final (@ Lodger City Memorial Stadium, New Lodger City)
RGS Athletic 1-1 VLC FC (2-1 aet)

In the first association wide domestic cup held since the 11th season, the big three all made deep in roads into the cup, but apart from that, it was pretty much a free for all, with Low Lyn FC and Caldarin FC, both from Imperial Division Two (Low Lyn in fact being the eighth worst ranked team in the pyramid by end of season standings) going as far as the quarter-finals. In the end however, the big teams prevailed, and young Tia Drenas provided the winner in extra time to hand RGS Athletic the double, and a berth in the Cygnus Cup for the first time in god knows how long.

Originally known as the 'FFF Cup', the Copa Pilopinas is the only national cup in the Filopines. Each club in the Filopines Premier League and National Championship participate in the tournament as well as two invitee clubs from the regional leagues.
Paricos FC have been invited for the second season in a row for reaching the quarter-finals last time and Clube Venere Football have been invited for the first time.
Also, the conference system has been scrapped after strong backlash from fans and this time, the Filopines Football Federation has opted for a random draw. There will be six groups, each containing six clubs.

Mangolana Super Cup

For the third time, the Mangolana Super Cup was contested prior to the start of the Mangolana Premier League Season with the defending Premier League, Super League, Pro League and League Cup champions participating in the pre-season title hunt at Lone Island Stadium in Nirvana. The teams that had qualified for the competition are Soccoroo (Premier League Champions), Dalenderain (Super League Champions), Coropelles (Pro League Champions), and Mangolana City (League Cup Champions) who fell just short of the first Mangolana Soccer Association Treble (Super Cup, League Cup, and Premier League title) after a crash of epic proportions in the last 6 weeks of the season and gifting the title to Soccoroo. Mangolana City who is also the two time defending champions of the competition are the only repeat club in the Super Cup as the other make their clubs first appearance. The only club outside of the Premier League in the competition is Coropelles who was promoted last season to the Super League. The group stage took place over a three days with all three club matches being played back to back. The finals for the competition took place 5 days later in front of a sold-out Lone Island Stadium, which easily bolsters its chances to make a Mangolana bid for the 52nd Champions Cup as the 51st has already been chosen during the last vote. The stadium will also be expanded to 62,000 next year in anticipation for the bid.

MATCHDAY 1
Soccoroo 4-0 Coropelles
Mangolana City 5-1 Dalenderain
MATCHDAY 2
Dalenderain 1-3 Soccoroo
Mangolana City 2-2 Coropelles
MATCHDAY 3

The final would, as many thought, be contested between the top two in the Premier League last season, Soccoroo and Mangolana City. The match had many a story-line running through it as Tanner Hall, the all time caps leader for Soccoroo tried to continue the clubs great success in anticipation of his transfer off-season in which he has openly expressed heading abroad to continue his career. The other main story-line was Mangolana City trying to avenge their great collapse last season and still show that they are the best team in Mangolana Soccer. The game was grand and both City and Soccoroo had their chances early, with neither side able to find goal after great saves from both Hall and City's new goalkeeper John Blank who transferred to the team this off-season after three seasons within the Mascona FC system. The Breakthrough would not be found in the second half of play either. The best chance of the half came when Up and coming midfielder Elliot Huntal missed a header over the goal from less than 6 yards out. The ball, if placed on target would have surely given Soccoroo the advantage. This would come back to cost them when in the first half of extra time, Mangolana National team member Shaun Line converted on a beautifully placed free-kick into the bottom left corner of the net. Though Soccoroo would press for an equalizer, and eventually sending Hall down for a corner, they could not break through the wall that was Mangolana City, in fact giving up another goal on the City counter-attack and into the open net that was vacated by Hall after the corner. The Final of the match would be 2-0 in favor of Mangolana City.

Soccoroo 0-2 Mangolana City

Premier League

Their were major changes in Mangolana Soccer after the last season as Mascona FC was sold to two Mangolana Businessmen who promise to get Mascona FC back to the Champions Cup within the next five years. Another note came when the Mangolana Soccer Association voted in a close vote to move the league offices from Dalenderain stadium and into their own league offices in downtown Narcana. The league will officially move to this location in the next off-season and will hold all meeting onsite during the season and off-seasons for Mangolana Soccer. It is also rumored that the struggling club Bluepool could be sold to foreign investors within the next year, no knowledge about the investors is known, but it is said that they are from either Rushmore or AO. For now though, it is business as usual for the clubs of Mangolana as they enter the Premier League, Super League and Pro League seasons. A note on a major rule change in Mangolana is a new Premier League Promotion/Relegation play-off between the Premier League's 17th placed team and the Super League's 4th placed team, with the match being a home-and-home play-off. The rule was added on the basis that the fourth place team in the Super League qualifies for the the SBCC but is not promoted, the new rule change is made to give them a chance at promotion. The rule will not affect the Pro League's promotion to the Super League. The first half of the season was one of new records, as the average attendance of the Premier League increased by over 4% from last season. The other main news that the fans looked at was the results of the only Premier League derby this season, the Skyline Derby. After winning their first Skyline Derby last season, Skyline FC has almost clinched this year's derby title after defeating City 3-1 and United 2-0 while the main match of the Derby, Skyline City and Skyline United, only managed a 0-0 draw meaning one would have to win out and Skyline FC would have to lose out.

A big shocker came in the waves of Federation who has had their strongest start in club history as they have 49 points in 19 matches with 2 losses, 1 draw and 16 wins. Hot on their heels though is Skyline FC seeking their second Premier League title. They sit only four points back of Federation and are 9 points clear of third place Soccoroo. The race is clearly a two horse race right now, but Soccoroo, in search of a defense of their title will be looking for them to slip up along the line and close the gap down to a more manageable deficit in the Premier League Second Half.

The OSTIDIAN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION

The OFA, the governing body of football in Fonidia and Osteyon, has decided to allow its first two tiers to compete in the UICA club championships.
After 121 seasons of domestic-only football, the clubs feel the pressure to grow and become known around the world. We hope that by allowing our clubs to compete internationally, we can improve the level of our teams and increase even more the popularity of the sport among the younger generations.

THE OSTIDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE, SEASON 1

The Ostidian Premier League is the Union's primary football competition. Until this season, the Royal Club Championship was the first-tier tournament until last season, seeing Jubildon Éire as the old league's last champions. The RCC still exist, but it will now be contested by the third-tier clubs. The OPL consists of 20 clubs from all the Union, and allows for the promotion of 3 teams from the lower tier, and the relegation of 3 clubs, with two going down automatically if they're placed last and second-to-last at the end of the season. The third-to-last team plays The Great Escape against the fourth-to-last one to decide who leaves the league, at a neutral ground, which is selected by the OFA before the season begins. The second and third placed teams gain automatic right to play in the Globe Cup qualifiers. In a near future, the OFA is expecting to allow the winner of the OFA Challenge Cup, the Union's oldest domestic elimination tournament, to get right to play in the Globe Cup qualifiers, but since there have been many changes in the competitions' formats, for this season only, only a playoff game will be played between the teams placed 4th and 5th to decide which one will play in the Globe Cup. The game will be played at the Royal Sports Centre, the national stadium, which has a capacity of 75,000.

This year, the league teams fought intensely, and there was no clear winner until the last few matches, which saw how Lagoon City managed to claim their first league title since they last won in the 87th season of the old league, with Barnforth Bay reaching their highest league position since the 72th season of the old league, when they won their last league title.
Last year league champions Jubildon Éire are disappointed, as the club and its fans think they could have even won the league again. North Sea, a team of great tradition and also one of the most successful clubs in the Union, had the same expectations for this season. Now, they'll have to compete for their pass to the Globe Cup.

RACE FOR THE GLOBE CUP Result:
Jubilife Éire 1 - 2 North Sea

And it's North Sea who will be able to participate in the next Global Cup.

Sooton Town and Squiddingpool have finished last and second-to-last this time, which means that they'll spend at least one season in the Ostidian Championship One, the second-tier division of the League system. Dewford Town, a team just promoted from the old second division, will have to win against Osteyon Capital, which has been struggling in the first-tier during the last year, but that has been able to escape from the relegation zone in the right time.

THE GREAT ESCAPE:
Dewford Town 2–2 Osteyon Capital (3–3 AET) (3–2 pen.)

After an intense match, it was Dewford who managed to stay in first-tier for at least one more season.

THE OSTIDIAN CHAMPIONSHIP, SEASON 1

The Ostidian Championship is the second-tier league football competition in the Union. 24 teams will contest for a place in the OPL, but only 3 will manage to have that privilege, and other 3 will instead get relegated to the Royal Club Championship, which is now working as the third division. The league's champions and the runner-ups will be awarded with automatic promotion to the OPL; teams placed 3rd to 6th will contest two-legged semi-finals without away-goal rule. Also, teams placed 1st to 4th, will be awarded with the opportunity to compete at the Series B Champions Cup. The single-legged final game is played at the Royal Sports Centre. Also, like in the OPL, the third and fourth-to-last play The Great Escape to see which of them stays and which goes down to the RCC. This game is played at a neutral ground, which is selected by the OFA before the season begins.

Abbyingdon was the big favourite to win the league this year, having stayed on the top for most of the season. However, during the last 15 games, the competition became very fierce, and the league table started to get more unstable. North Point, a team that began the season struggling to keep away from the relegation zone, managed to get a huge comeback, and it established itself on first place by the last 5 games, winning the league. Abbyingdon, however, will still have the pleasure to compete in the OPL, after a 12 years absence from the top-tier. At the other side of the table, we see Red Brick and Chanbury at the last two places, which means automatic relegation for them. Meanwhile, Rudsbrough and Petby still have chances to stay away from relegation.

THE OC PLAYOFFS:

Second Leg:
Goldenhampton 1–2 Exborough Village (1–2 AET) (3–2 pen.)
Swisspool Town 5–3 Gold Coast
FINAL
Goldenhampton 3–3 Swisspool Town (3–4 AET)

And is Swisspool the team that has managed to claim it's place in the OPL.

THE GREAT ESCAPE:
Petby Town 0–0 Rudsbrough City (1–1 AET) (2–4 pen.)

Rudsbrough is going to stay on second-tier for another year, while Petby will see relegation to the Royal Club Championship.

Mangolana League Cup

The 10th edition of the Mangolana League Cup is now upon us and it brings with it images from its famous past including the first League Cup when Skyline United triumphed over the rest and earned Mangolana's most successful club Mangolana's newest title. Another memory comes when Commenbel shocked Mangolana soccer fans not once, but twice when they won the League Cup in back to back years after being promoted in their first Cup win. The past is now brought to the present as the Mangolana League Cup kicks off its opening 20 matches between this seasons Super and Pro League clubs. The random draw was conducted from the teams and the single leg round kicked off this the 10th Mangolana League Cup.

Skyline City continued their slide down the ranks as they lost to Super League side Mascona Fidel and Nirvana suffered a loss against currently Super League relegation zone squad Glutnes. In a battle of the top Super League clubs though also took place with Welkar thrashing Bluepool at home by a 4-1 scoreline. The highest scoring match of the day took place at Shauning's Flipper Stadium with Skyline United defeating Shauning by an amazing 12-2 score and also setting a new record for most goals scored in a match by a single team, by an away team and combined between two teams in one match.

The Fourth Round of the Mangolana League Cup brought many fantastic match-ups including the Golden Derby being held between Goldshom and Goldshom FC. FC proved that even though they were in the lower Super League, they were they best team in town as they defeated Goldshom 4-1 aggregate after winning the opening match away at Goldshom 3-0. Another high profile match was Premier League leader Federation taking on defending Champions Mangolana City. Federation would make a mockery of City in the series as they won away to open the series 2-0 and crushed City at home 3-0. Skyline FC easily downed Coropelles 4-0 aggregate as the rising stars of Coropelles were finally eliminated from the competition. Welkar made the shocker for the weekend as the Super League leader eliminated Premier League side Justidell 4-4 aggregate on away goals after entering the second leg away at Justidell down 3-0.

Quarterfinals

Skyline FC 0-0 Arsenrall
Arsenrall 0-2 Skyline FC (0-2 agg)

Federation 1-1 Herogeos
Herogeos 0-1 Federation (1-2 agg)

Redpool 3-0 Welkar
Welkar 0-1 Redpool (0-4 agg)

The Quarterfinals went by as many thought. The main thought in people minds now would be, what will the Semi-Final matches look like and can Redpool make it to the finals. The only club left that had entered the competition before the Fourth Round, Redpool now look at a tough matchup any way that they turn. First could be Skyline FC who won 2-0 aggregate over Arsenrall after their 2-0 away win in the second leg. Second could be Two time League Cup Champions Commonbel who are fresh off of eliminating Goldshom FC 4-2 aggregate thanks to their 2-0 away win in the second leg. Finally, Redpool could face Premier League leader Federation who after dumping Mangolana City in the Fourth Round eliminated Herogeos 2-1 aggregate.

Semi-Finals

Redpool 1-2 Skyline FC
Skyline FC 0-0 Redpool (2-1 agg)

Federation 3-0 Commonbel
Commonbel 1-1 Federation (1-4 agg)

The Semi-Finals ended any chance at a shocker in the Finals of the League Cup as the top two teams in the Premier League, Skyline FC and Federation advanced to the finals. This sets up the first ever Premier League 1-2 match up in League Cup Final. Skyline FC made it to their first League Cup Final with a 2-1 aggregate win over Redpool thanks to their opening leg away win. Federation made it to their first League Cup Final with a 4-1 aggregate win over Commonbel. Federation defeated Commonbel 3-0 at home in the opening leg and drew Commonbel away 1-1. The Final will give us a first time champion in the League Cup and sets up the Club for a guaranteed entrance into next seasons Mangolana Super Cup.

The Final was played Executive Stadium in Arlnet which will serve as the stadiums final Championship match as Arlnet will begin play next season in a new 63,000 seat stadium that was financed partly by the club and partly by the City of Arlnet. Federation was first too have a chance at goal, but were denied multiple times by Hurculeze Dimonds of FC. FC would play a smothering defense after the early chance allowing only another 3 Federation shots on goal for the rest of the match. The breakthrough would come for FC first though as they scored off a corner with the goal coming from Allen Henderson to give FC a 1-0 lead. The goal would prove enough for Skyline FC as the rest of the match, their defense was unbreakable, leading to Skyline FC defeating Premier League leader Federation and earning the clubs first ever League Cup title. The win also guaranteed the club a spot in the Mangolana Super Cup next season should they fail to win the Premier League. Federation, following the loss must recuperate quickly with the Premier League second half on the horizon as they only hold a 4 point lead over Skyline FC right now.

Showing off their incredibly minor league's results for the fifteenth time, its the Twin-Emirate of Ares-y-Penthesilea's very own Emirate League. In their hearts, I think they know they're unlikely to see anything like what Penthesilea achieved two seasons ago. Won't stop them dreaming in between maths revision, though.

"So, István, remind me again why I need to sign these stupid things?"

"Because, My Ruler, the people need to know that you share their pastimes, and that you are a man of the people."

"But, I don't."

"No."

"And, I'm not."

"No."

"So why does it matter?"

"Because it lifts their spirits! Oh, My Ruler, if you could only see their little faces when they read your decrees congratulating the winners of the league and claiming you were impressed by the standard of play this season. They light up with joy, My Ruler, they really do. It buoys them, and productivity soars the following week, even amongst Zöldharkályi fans. Just because you caer, My Ruler."

"But, I don't."

"No."

"And I've never even been to a match, so how could I possibly know what the standard of play was like this year?"

"They never question that, strangely enough."

"They never question that? They really never wonder how I'm watching the games when I'm never at any football stadium, ever? Really?!"

"I think you're overestimating the intelligence of your average subject, My Ruler."

"Well, that's depressing."

"You live permanently in a palace, what could be depressing?"

"I mean, why do they even care that I suppoedly pay attention to what they're up to?"

"Because they look up to you, My Ruler."

"But why?"

"Because you're the Csar! You're the great and powerful Csar László XVII!"

"But István, I don't have any power."

"No."

"This is a hardline secretive communist technocracy."

"Yes."

"So why do the people still think it's a Csardom?"

"Because it's good for productivity, My Ruler. They like the idea, and we just, well, never got around to telling them otherwise."

"So the fact I'm useless is..."

"...a secret just between you and us, My Ruler."

"Wait, 'us', István?"

"Oh, yeah, I got given a seat on the Tanácsadók when old Popov finally popov'd his clogs'ov."

"Oh, wonderful."

"Will that be all, My Ruler?"

"I don't know! You tell me!"

"As you wish, My Ruler."

"I do wish you wouldn't call me that, István. Does tend to just rub it in a bit, you know?"

"As you wish, you freeloading scumbag."

"Okay, actually, go back to the other one."

"Oh, I don't know. How old's your son now, My Ruler?"

"László? He must be about nineteen now, I guess. I don't know, you've not let me see him in three years."

"Old enough to rule?"

"I... guess? Why?"

"Just thinking, you better watch what you say to members of the Tanácsadók, My Ruler, we have to keep up the illusion for all workers of the nation, let's not forget. Starting with the waiting staff here in the palace. And if tongues start getting lazy, then we could always retire them."

"Retire?"

"Been a while since we had a nice sad royal funeral, isn't it?"

"Oh."

"Patriotic periods of mourning are good for productivity, My Ruler. As are coronation. Don't forget it."

So, after another exciting off-season, Acquans awoke to the exciting news that their favourite league had once again been accepted into the upper echelons of UICA football, and had been granted another place for a club in the Champions' Cup. Whether or not they'll do well there, only time will tell (though history would suggest not), but in the meantime, they've got to get there first.

And first onto the gravy train is, surprise surprise, CA Conquistadores for their third in a row. The Globe Cup quarter-finalists continue to be Ossidiacqua's most dangerous team in international competition, and they are once again on their way to the Champions' Cup qualifiers after winning the Campiocinato for a seventy-first time, extending their lead at the top of the rankings yet further. With many of the national team currently coming from the young numbers in their midfield, this can only be a good thing on a more multiversal scale for the nation. Condensadores CD will be joining them after just about seeing off Caballeros, who will join Qolo-Qolo and AS Débardeurs Nationale in the Globe Cup. At the bottom, Berenice-Fedora were unable to prevent themselvs from going straight back down again despite doing a remarkable home and away double over Conquistadores this season.

Licentian Football League:

Preview:

So, here we go again. After possibly the most exciting transfer window we have ever seen, Licentian football is back. With some big changes at some big clubs, let’s take a look at the Premier League teams for this season.

Image Image
Abingdon Celtic
Nicknames: Celtic, the Green-White, the West-Enders (originally derogatory, now used by fans)
Ground: Gardiner-Stewart Park (60,000 capacity), Abingdon, Abingdon Parish
Colours: Green and white shirt, white shorts, green and white socks
Formation: 4-4-2
Starting XI: Hunter/McFetridge, Isasi, Thompson, White/Nystrom, Donaldson, Brown, Crowley/Pratt, Riascos
Description: Last season’s champions have made quite a few marquee signings during the break. Despite missing out on big names like Tolgus Tregajorran and Carlos Alberto Saez, players like Néider Riascos, Jacob Pratt and Lerchun Isasi have much improved the side. However, they have also had to sell players like Aran Miller and Ruben Munro. Nonetheless, you still can’t see Celtic being beaten this season.
Last Season: 1st, Champions, Champions’ Cup Qualification

Image Image
Carrington United
Nicknames: United, the Reds
Ground: Bayside Stadium (34,000 capacity), Carrington, Colesham Parish
Colours: Red and silver shirt, black shorts, black socks
Formation: 1-4-2-1-2
Starting XI: Jamieson/McIntyre/Bishop, King, Martin, Miller/Findlay, Aitken/McIntosh/Wilson, Davidson
Notes: The most hated side on Licentiapacisterra (the main isle), United got themselves a Champions’ Cup place last season, much to the chagrin of the Wanderers, who they beat into third place. Carrington haven’t made any big additions over the summer, whereas teams like SC and Glenmount have added some quality international players; the Reds have even struggled to make signings in the domestic markets. United will struggle to emulate last season’s successes once again.
Last Season: 2nd, Champions’ Cup Qualification

Image Image
Colesham Athletic
Nicknames: Luke’s Latics, the Latics, the Miners
Ground: Barton Software Arena (47,000 capacity), Colesham, Colesham Parish
Colours: Red and black shirt, black shorts, red socks
Formation: 3-1-3-2-1
Starting XI: Mackay/Hector, Jamieson, Burns/Cunningham/Anderson, Hunter, McIntosh/Naylor, McGregor/Vetta
Notes: As former champions, Athletic have a lot to live up to in the coming seasons. Despite only a couple of domestic signings over the summer, Colesham have still got two big talents, in the veteran Lewis Naylor, and the Apoxian centre forward Marlon Vetta, who is now approaching thirty. It’ll be a challenge for Colesham to get the title, but they certainly have a good chance of pulling through, and the Globe Cup is a reasonable goal.
Last Season: 5th, Globe Cup Qualification

Image Image
AFC Farnworth
Nicknames: AFC, the Reds, ‘Them’
Ground: Farnworth Municipal Stadium (36,000 capacity), Farnworth, Colesham Parish
Colours: Red and purple shirt, white shorts, red socks
Formation: 4-1-2-1-2
Starting XI: Gray/Blair, A. Munro, J. Munro, Kerr/Proposs/Macdonald, Gibson/Bruce/Enemark, Gordon
Notes: Despite holding the only real dynasty since the Licentian Premier League was established, Farnworth have been going downhill of late. Despite some good talents in the side, it appears the loss of Nate Parkinson to Mytannion, and subsequently Astograth, left the team in a lot of trouble. The veteran Polarian Niko Enemark has had to carry the team in terms of goals, Proposs hasn’t filled the large hole left by Parkinson, and none of the promising talents from the academy have reached the heights expected of them. Expect mid-table mediocrity for AFC.
Last Season: 6th

Image Image
Gaelic Club
Nicknames: Gaels, the Real Celts, the East-Enders, Hools (also applied to Garton Bay, referring to the large numbers of violent fans)
Ground: Coliseum of the Gaels (42,000 capacity), Abingdon, Abingdon Parish
Colours: Green shirts, gold shorts, green socks
Formation: 4-4-2
Starting XI: Johnstone/Ferguson, Munro, Reiss, Docherty/Bodi, Mackay, Watt, Sutherland/Campbell, McCaleb
Notes: As the second city’s second side, Gaelic Club are rather underrated. After rebranding away from the hooligan-related Gaels name two years ago (though the majority still call the club by that name), Gaelic Club have kept the most fierce atmosphere in the Premier League; the Coliseum is a scary place to play, especially if you play for Celtic. There’s also the matter of Dennis Munro at centre half, along with foreign talents, in the Pasargan Kállay Bodi.
Last Season: 9th

Image Image
Glenmount Town
Nicknames: Town, the Cyan
Ground: Market Street Ground (17,000 capacity), Glenmount, Abingdon Parish
Colours: Cyan and black shirt, cyan shorts, cyan socks
Formation: 4-4-2
Starting XI: Stevenson/Kennedy, Boyd, Marshall, Lloyd/Murray, Cilic, Aitken, Stewart/Mitchell, McIntosh
Notes: Market Street has been buzzing for the last few seasons, as Town have slowly but surely improved from relegation fighters to Globe Cup contenders. With some foreign talent in the side, and a lot of young Licentians making their careers in this small corner of the Rivermouth area, Glenmount are looking like a side that could start to challenge the big boys in the next few seasons.
Last Season: 7th

Image Image
Houghton Rangers
Nicknames: Rangers
Ground: Hilltop Stadium (31,000 capacity), Houghton, Abingdon Parish
Colours: White and dark green shirts, dark green shorts, dark green socks
Formation: 3-2-3-2
Starting XI: Muir/Wood, Dickson, James/Macdonald, Ritchie/Hunter, Thompson, Kay/Christie, Leighton
Notes: Rangers have become one of the lesser sides in Abingdon Parish in the last few years. Despite at one point being Celtic’s biggest Premier League rival, they have now been superseded by Gaelic Club, and even Glenmount Town. The fans in Houghton are hoping for a lot this season, but the majority of Licentians actually expect Rangers to be playing Second Division football next season.
Last Season: 8th

Image Image
Montfort University
Nicknames: University, the Scholars, the Capitals
Ground: University Stadium (20,000 capacity), Montfort, Montfort Parish
Colours: Yellow and black shirts, black shorts, black socks
Formation: 4-4-2
Starting XI: Findlay/Sinclair, Burns, Kerr, Millar/Dickson, Williamson, Hamilton, Boyce/Docherty, Jameson
Notes: University have come a very long way in the last couple of years. From a mid-table Second Division side, to a regular sight in the Premier League, the turn-around for the Scholars has been fantastic. Despite ending their official association with the University of Montfort decades ago, the side still draw a lot of fans from the student population of the capital, and with a mainly young squad, Montfort University will be a fixture in the top flight for many years to come, despite only narrowly avoiding relegation last season.
Last Season: 10th

Image Image
Montfort Wanderers
Nicknames: Wanky Wanderers (originally derogatory), the Whites
Ground: LTI Stadium (75,000 capacity), Montfort, Montfort Parish
Colours: White and navy blue shirts, navy blue shorts, navy blue socks
Formation: 4-1-2-1-2
Starting XI: Thornberg/Walker, Duncan, White, Caleb/Sindelar/Brown, Marshall/di Luca/Docherty, Ferguson
Notes: The most successful club of the Licentian amateur era, and arguably the most recognisable club in Esportiva, Montfort Wanderers have only claimed one title since the Premier League was established. They failed to defend their title last season, with Celtic taking it off them, but Wanderers still have a talented side, and, at the end of the day, they aren’t to be underestimated. Anything less than a title challenge from the Whites, and heads will roll.
Last Season: 3rd, Globe Cup Qualification

Old Corinthians
Nicknames: Corinthians, the Old Boys
Ground: The Corinth Ground (26,000 capacity), Colesham, Colesham Parish
Colours: Black and gold shirts, black shorts, black socks
Formation: 4-1-2-1-2
Starting XI: Millar/Boyce, Cunningham, McInnes, McIntyre/Martin/Rayan, Forbes/Thompson/Joselito, Johnstone
Notes: Another team on the Isles born out of a university, the Old Corinthians have moved recently from the suburb of Corinth, where the club was created as part of Corinth University, to the centre of Colesham. They have also added a new young talent to the side, in the Sunrisian striker Joselito, and considering their pedigree of developing strikers like the Apoxian Marlon Vetta, and Alex Keir, a lot can be expected of the young man in the next couple of years.
Last Season: 2nd in the Second Division, Promoted

Image Image
SC Montfort
Nicknames: SC, the Royals, the Blues
Ground: Adamson Park (55,000 capacity), Montfort, Montfort Parish
Colours: Royal blue and white shirts, white shorts, white socks
Formation: 4-1-2-2-1
Starting XI: Watson/Cameron, Ferguson, Xabanaxaspatrua, Fleming/Chukwufumnanya/Demir, Salutregi/Zerind, Jozic/Thompson
Notes: SC are another strong side that has struggled of late, despite some impressive names in the side. They were very active over the transfer window, with only Abingdon Celtic signing more players than the Royals. They are, however, certain to struggle in one regard, and that is the players’ names; kitmen and commentators alike are dreading SC’s matches this season, with big names, quite literally, in Oironi Xabanaxaspatrua and Obioma Chukwufumnanya having signed over the summer.
Last Season: 4th, Globe Cup Qualification

Image Image
St Bart’s
Nicknames: the Islanders, the Saints
Ground: St Bart’s Oval (45,500 capacity), St Bart’s, St Bart’s Parish
Colours: Blue and black shirts, black shorts, black socks
Formation: 4-4-2
Starting XI: Graham/Lawrence, Sutherland, Hunter, McIntyre/Donaldson, Duncan, Milne, Quinn/Clark, Spencer
Notes: St Bart’s were promoted at the end of last season, and their reappearance in the Premier League ensures that every one of the four Licentian parishes will be represented in the nation’s top league this season. They may struggle to stay up, however; they’ve made no big signings over the break, and while last season’s stars were good enough to get them promoted, they may not be enough to stop them getting relegated.
Last Season: 1st in the Second Division, Promoted

Mangolana Premier League Part II

Following the conclusion of the Mangolana League Cup and the crowning of a new Champion in Skyline FC, the Mangolana Premier League is set to go into full swing once more as the Mangolana clubs attempts to fight for international competition spots, and for some, to avoid relegation to the, lower league's. Entering the second half of the season, Federation leads the Premier League by 4 points over Skyline FC and have a 13 point lead over third place side Soccoroo. For now, it appears that the race is a two club race with Skyline FC seeking their second Premier League title and Federation seeking not only their highest Premier League finish of 3rd, but they are also trying to win their first title as a club. Lying back in the pack looking to qualify for the Globe Cup along with what will most likely be either Federation or Skyline FC, Soccoroo and Mangolana City, who currently sit in 3rd and 4th place with 36 and 35 points respectively. Behind them, clubs on the cusp right now include Arsenrall who trails Mangolana City on Goal Differential, Commonbel with 34 points, and Justidell with 32 points.

Below those clubs sits Redpool who is doing as well as expected and is looking for the clubs best Premier League finish ever and Skyline United, who oppositely sits 9th place and is seeking to avoid the clubs lowest Premier League finish ever. However, Skyline United fans can take some sort of victory in the fact that they sit 2 spots up on the 11th placed Skyline City, who have in the last few seasons struggled to regain their former glory, after all, they were the first team to unseat United from the top of the table 6 seasons ago and are currently the only club, other than United, to have more than one Premier League title. At the bottom of the table we find the relegation battle however. Goldshom sits bottom of the table with 8 points and will need some results in their favor to even have a hope of getting out of automatic relegation. The fight is more ferocious above them though, as Nirvana (19th) and Dalenderain (18th) who both sit in automatic relegation spots, Totten (17th) who sits in the play-off spot, Quentis and Mascona FC all sit within three points of each other, Nirvana at 14 points, Mascona FC, Quentis, and Totten at 17 points. The battle here at the end of the season promises to be the greatest on all fronts, so lets get going with the Premier League Second Half.

Following a season of Dramatic twists and turns, Federation are officially crowned Premier League Champions for the first time in Club history, they have a Championship to celebrate, but not for too long, as they will make their first appearance in the Champions Cup as the representative from Mangolana. Skyline FC, after having a great first half to the season, peaked with their League Cup title. After struggling through the second half of the season, which included losses to Federation and Soccoroo, along with the scoreless draws against their Derby Rivals United and City, FC sunk down a little and in the end, finished third to Soccoroo, losing on Goal Differential. Joining them as represenatives for Mangolana in the Globe Cup will be Arsenrall, who overtook Mangolana City late into the campaign and never looked back as they cruised into the Globe Cup by 4 points. The relegation battle was also intense near the end of the season as Nirvana, Dalenderain and Quentis all finished within 2 points of each other. Sadly for Nirvana and Dalenderain, they will be joining the DOA Goldshom for sure in the Super League next year. Quentis however will have a chance at remaining in the Premier League with their Promotion/Relegation Play-Off.

The Super League season ended with a huge clime out of the cellar for Amsterpom. They were 19th Half-Way through the season, and they, in 19 matchday's did not lose and climbed all the way up too fourth in the Super League, qualifying themselves for the Premier League Promotion/Relegation Play-Off against recently Promoted side Quentis. Whether they win or lose however, they will be playing in the next Series B Champions Cup for Mangolana. The Play-Off though has to be their focus for now. Welkar, Jaconess, and Goldshom FC however, decided to take the less stressful route as they have been automatically promoted to the Premier League, and will also be heading to the Series B Champions Cup.

The city of Arlnet is also known for its great beaches and its family style environment. Downtown Arlnet, is also not designed like a big downtown, with many of the original Arlnet Businesses still inhabiting the stores they opened with when the city became first incorporated.

Klein Multi-Sports Stadium, Poolings (78,000) A basically brand new stadium in Mangolana, home to Redpool of the Mangolana Premier League, the stadium was not put into use due to a delay in construction until the 8th week of the Premier League season. A retractable roof, which is used only when inclement weather strikes prior or during half-time of a match. Because of the roof that can be closed, the field is not natural grass, but a turf, which plays basically like a grass field, but with a little more bounce to the ball. The Stadium officials plan on also bringing the Champions Cup to the stadium one day, but are focused currently on Series B because of it needing a dry run for major international events.

Located on the outskirts of the city, this 51,000 capacity venue used to host numerous national college meets and trial days for many aspiring track and field stars before reconfiguration. “The Point” is also a secondary home for the national team. The stadium is located just a couple miles away from the Saugeais National Forest, which covers 10% of the total land area of the nation, and as such lumbering is one of the city’s main source of income.

Globe Cup: Stade Amaechi Olsen, Montbenoit (Cap. 68,500)
Image

The Football Association of Saugeais is based out of Stade de Montagne, located smack in the middle of the capital, Montbenoit. The stadium is also home to local Premier League side, Montbenoit F.C., and both have used the 68,500 all seater since its construction before World Cup 53. The stadium has hosted many of the big matches, both domestically (in Premier League and FAS Cup action) and internationally against various big name opponents. The stadium has been expanded numerous times to coincide with the continual growth of the national team, reaching its current capacity right before co-hosting the 47th Cup of Harmony.

Licentian Football League:

Review:

What is possibly the most unpredictable top division in the world has come to an end, with another rollercoaster ride for fans of Licentian football. Let’s take a look at who’ll be off around the multiverse in UICA competition, who’ll be playing Premier League football next year, and who’ll be playing their trade in the Second Division.

Premier League:

- Licentian Premier League Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Abingdon Celtic 22 13 4 5 33 19 +14 43
2 SC Montfort 22 12 3 7 33 24 +9 39
3 Colesham Athletic 22 11 4 7 27 15 +12 37
4 Glenmount Town 22 11 2 9 25 19 +6 35
5 Montfort Wanderers 22 10 4 8 29 19 +10 34
6 Montfort University 22 9 6 7 24 24 0 33
7 Carrington United 22 8 7 7 26 24 +2 31
8 Gaelic Club 22 7 5 10 21 32 −11 26
9 Old Corinthians 22 6 7 9 20 26 −6 25
10 St Bart's 22 5 7 10 19 28 −9 22
11 A.F.C. Farnworth 22 5 7 10 12 22 −10 22
12 Houghton Rangers 22 6 2 14 14 31 −17 20

The Premier League champions were possibly the only thing about this season that matched pre-season expectations. Abingdon Celtic took their second consecutive title this season, with a 1-0 win over Montfort Wanderers sealing the deal on the penultimate matchday of the season, Ruaraidh Donaldson setting up Néider Riascos for the only goal of the game at Gardiner-Stewart Stadium. SC Montfort weren’t far behind, and only a draw with relegation fighters St Bart’s on the same day stopped them taking the title race to the final day of the season. A Champion’s Cup spot may console the SC fans that these last couple of years have been a welcome improvement for the club.

Colesham Athletic were never far off the title race, but Luke Thompson’s boys had to settle for third place. Joining them in the Globe Cup will be Glenmount Town, whose qualification led to parties all over the small town, and Montfort Wanderers, who struggled a little this season, and never really kept the pace with the top teams. Special mentions have to go to Montfort University, who came from narrowly avoiding relegation last season, to missing out on a UICA spot, ahead of Wanderers, on the final day of the season.

Speaking of relegation, the wrong end of the table saw the biggest surprise this season. While it was predicted that AFC Farnworth would struggle this season, nobody expected this former dynasty club to be relegated to the Second Division. Players like Proposs, Jack Macdonald and Niko Enemark are now expected to lead a mass exodus out of the club. They will be joined in the second tier of Licentian football next season by Houghton Rangers, who never really got going in the league.

Second Division:

- Licentian Second Division Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Rivermouth FC 22 17 4 1 55 14 +41 55

Holy imagespam, Ratman. What is there to say? The most active transfer window ever saw 46 transfers in and out of Astograth, plus four international players moving within the First Division. Several smaller clubs took the opportunity to strengthen themselves with players from exotic corners of the globe, while a number of youngsters left in search of an overseas adventure. There were big transfers too, of course, the most eye-catching of which was Olibondeka star Ibai Kiriano leaving Ituraitz FC for Atletik Thessia. And his replacement? None other than Polarian forward Vadim Illich-Svitych, at the prime of his career. Lekubegi Guerrikaechebarria also left the First Division, for a stint at the Euran Revolutionaries, while the highly-rated Bayarte Pagagartundua turned down Royal Rumiatzi to join La Nueva Avenida in Farfadillis. Second-tier Jaunepont Sportif, of Northern Sunrise Islands, also paid an absurd amount of money to sign Royal Rumiatzi striker Aitor Rekalde, and Lekubegi Guerrikaechebarria leaves Astograth University after more than a decade of success. Somewhat depleted and repeatedly spurned, Royal Rumiatzi went on a shopping spree that landed them Polarian international Moses Luc Bjerregaard, Iturributan midfielder Zeledon Urralburu, Sicoutian winger Oscar De Orebale and Zwangzug striker Khamisi McCluey.

The First Division welcomes its first players from the Crystal Empire, Equestrian States and the Paradystopi Lymryk Isles (incidentally, also its first non-humanoids), the Royal Kingdom of Quebec, Valladares, Northern Sunrise Islands, Kitsuneshima, Zwangzug, the Inevitable Syndicate and Welsh Cowboy, as well as a new wave of Mytanar imports and the first Osarian since Simon Jonas (many, many years ago). Foreign players in Astograth now number 87, a new record.

First Division

Urbizania Wanderers
Hometown: Urbizania
Ground: Cherketzo Arena (53,200), Urbizania
Colours: All dark green kit
Honours: Image 2 Leagues (651, 656) · Image 3 Royal Cups (643, 652, 653) · Image Champions' Cup 43
Manager: Image Atzeden Lusa
Lineup: Image Polentzi Gayategi; Image Eyvindur Ostland, Image Matthew di Martine, Image Yokin Arizmande (C), Image Peter Lennert; Image Edwardo Baez, Image Risko Kâí, Image Jane Vander Rox, Image Laborious Hawk; Image Iivari Kaitanen, Image Federico Ferreyra
Shirt Sponsor: Farautoo (Polarian vehicles)
Notes: One season in charge, one title won. Atzeden Lusa is living the dream, but defending the title seems an impossible task for everyone other than Ituraitz FC. Not that the Wanderers aren't on good footing, with a tremendously talented, cosmopolitan squad that has been further reinforced with Sunrisian centre-back Matthew di Martine, Mytanar right-back Peter Lennert and Farf teenage sensation Risko Kâí, back from a loan spell at Antiguoko FC. A side that has every right to be feared.
Season 657: Champions

ImageImage
Echegoyan FC
Ground: Silanes Park (55,140), Echegoyan
Colours: White and green striped shirt, green shorts and socks
Honours: Image 3 Leagues (644, 650, 653) · Image 1 Royal Cup (645) · Image 1 Ides of March Cup (653)
Manager: Image Garoa Larzondo
Lineup: Image Burni Gorrindo; Image Arctic Lily, Image Kyle Cooper, Image Morten Salo, Image Raitin Eneriz; Image Koldobika Benitzaizin (C), Image Ekhi Subies, Image Camille Mitchell, Image Laurin Mankisidor; Image Baudouin Richelieu, Image Yeremi Belaustigetigoitia
Shirt Sponsor: Yogutz (Astograthian dairy products)
Notes: With last season's result, Echegoyan FC are officially the club to have finished First Division runners-up the most times. Six. Tough to swallow that kind of disappointment, but it shows the Highlanders are in top form and ready to have another go at it – to that end Larzondo's done away with some of their more worn out elements and brought in truly top-level players. Camille Mitchell, the young Arctic Lily and Ituraitz FC's Ekhi Subies should go along nicely with the deadliest forward pairing in the league and revelation playmaker Laurin Mankisidor.
Season 657: Runners-up

ImageImage
Ituraitz FC
Ground: Ituraitz Sporting Ground (63,000), Ituraitz – shared with Ituraitz Victory
Colours: All red kit
Honours: Image 7 Leagues (636, 641, 642, 647, 652, 654, 655) · Image 5 Royal Cups (637, 640, 641, 646, 649) · Image 4 Ides of March Cups (641, 652, 654, 655) · Image Aeropag Football Invitational 26 · Image Champions' Cup 47 · Image Globe Cup 45 · Image Super Cup 44 · Image Copa de Campeones 20 · Image Astograthian Club of the Century
Manager: Image Ichaso Chapitel
Lineup: Image Machin Logegaray; Image Colin Collymore, Image Etor Yauregialzo, Image Artur Kuznetsov, Image Dima Petersen (C); Image Alexis Zeljeznicar, Image Ikatz Alberro, Image Cloudchaser, Image Alec Vordeau; Image Vadim Illich-Svitych, Image Alphonse Richelieu
Shirt Sponsor: ChocoMilk (Citiz dairy products)
Notes: They've gotten used to being the most successful side in Astograth – what with being chosen the UICA Club of the Century for Astograth – but have embarrassingly let the last two seasons slip from their grasp. Criticised for resting on their laurels, Ichaso Chapitel has restructured his side: with Ibai Kiriano gone to Mytannion for a record transfer fee at his request, out went Anixi Eturaspe and Ekhi Subies; in come Baptism of Fire winner Alec Vordeau, Equestrian States star Cloudchaser, Mytanar centre-back Artur Kuznetsov and renowned Polarian striker Vadim Illich-Svitych. A team combining experience and youth, speed and precision, attack and defense in almost-perfect balance will be a formidable title challenger indeed.
Season 657: 3rd

ImageImage
Royal Rumiatzi
Ground: Knights' Stadium (70,000), Rumiatzi
Colours: White shirt, dark blue shorts and socks
Honours: Image 6 Leagues (634, 635, 637, 643, 648, 656) · Image 5 Royal Cups (634, 644, 654, 656, 657) · Image 1 Ides of March Cup (656) · Image Aeropag Football Invitational 22 · Image Copa de Campeones 22 · Image Cygnus Cup 25
Manager: Image Gaur Arambilet
Lineup: Image Alarabi Galayarde; Image Tristan Desmond, Image Arnas Belamendia, Image Anartz Agirrebenia, Image Moses Luc Bjerregaard; Image Aintôrthea Durosa, Image Zeledon Urralburu, Image Oscar De Orebale, Image Goren Echazarreta; Image Ellis Elmsvikur (C), Image Khamisi McCluey
Shirt Sponsor: Torstebank (Blockhead banking)
Notes: Though the past season was largely one to forget, Royal Rumiatzi are fresh off beating Medoria Löwen to win the 25th Cygnus Cup, which has the fans ecstatic. They've also done a fair amount of wheeling and dealing; Ostadar Arambilet, the manager's own teenage son, has been seen off to Avenida Leal in Farfadillis, Lerchun Isasi and Aitor Rekalde have gone in search of fresh air in smaller leagues and captain Galeano has retired – so for this season, his last as a player, Ellis Elmsvikur will proudly wear the Knights' armband. All captains before him have lifted the league and more – and Elmsvikur has never been one to disappoint.
Season 657: 4th

ImageImage
Oyardo FC
Ground: The Willows (45,300), Oyardo
Colours: White and red striped kit, black shorts and socks
Honours: Image 2 Royal Cups (651, 655)
Manager: Image Iban Balinaga
Lineup: Image Zuriko Eliz; Image Aitor Bustingorry, Image Adame Ordozkoiti, Image Lucas Holtzmann, Image Formerio Letzama; Image Yurpá Mêndêlöíndçêl, Image Mike Hazzard, Image Rodrigo Defederico, Image Aletsander Gastiazoro, Image Peli Alzu (C); Image Eguzki Berriex
Shirt Sponsor: MaksiMerk (Astograthian supermarkets)
Notes: Bumping Astograth University out of the Globe Cup was a major win for Oyardo FC, who have opted for caution and stability this off-season. Though they've lost Kimetz Obonaga to the mighty Arka Snezhnaya of Mytannion, the fee was plentiful and went towards bringing in Sunrisian winger Mike Hazzard. The Mêndêlöíndçêl – Defederico – Alzu midfield spine is one to fear, and with a bit of cleverness Iban Balinaga's men can realistically aim for another Globe Cup qualification.
Season 657: 5th

ImageImage
Astograth University
Ground: Arritzola (36,350), Rumiatzi
Colours: White and light blue halved shirt, light blue shorts and white socks
Honours: Image 1 League (649) · Image 2 Royal Cups (648, 650) · Image Aeropag Football Invitational 23
Manager: Image Ubelteso Adin
Lineup: Image Argider Gorriaran; Image Larendi Goriz, Image Haitz Maistegi (C), Image Fernand Girard, Image Cristiano Damían; Image Nate Parkinson, Image Ayoro Barinaga, Image Mika Ostaltsov, Image Gaitzka Ogara; Image Gerhard Thunder, Image Azubeli Garat
Shirt Sponsor: Astek (Astograthian electronics)
Notes: Oyardo FC's gain was Astograth University's loss, and they're none too pleased about it. Adin has pulled some good transfer moves in the off-season and the result is pleasing; despite losing ageing but legendary captain Lekubegi Guerrikaechebarria they've traded defensive midfielders with Arka Snezhnaya, sending Aurre Ilarri for Licentian veteran Nate Parkinson, and signed Polarian winger Mika Ostaltsov. With Gaitzka Ogara, Azubeli Garat and Cristiano Damían all showing promise in their development, a solid defense, and Gerhard Thunder up front, they've got a mighty fine chance at pushing to break the top four this season.
Season 657: 6th

ImageImage
Gortz United
Ground: Itsasargiberria Stadium (31,080), Gortz
Colours: All lavender kit
Honours: None
Manager: Image Gito Pizan
Lineup: Image Gaxan Echabeguren (C); Image Luar Berriatua, Image Mark Hughes, Image Ryan Oliver, Image Bikendi Iraeta; Image Tzemeno Baxterrika, Image Aketza Lacha, Image Tartalo Achaga, Image Casper Constable; Image Konrad Evans, Image Gogo Beronda
Shirt Sponsor: Henrik (Polarian banking)
Notes: They've gone from the second tier to finishing seventh twice in a row; Gortz United are here to stay, with enough confidence to lay down a brand new 30 thousand seater stadium. Having sold Bayarte Pagagartundua for a high sum to La Nueva Avenida, they've brought in New Sideburn's Konrad Evans to partner up with Gogo Beronda, signed Sameban international Casper Constable to stabilise the midfield and bought a tough defense in the form of Valladar Mark Hughes and Syndicatian Ryan Oliver. Gito Pizan has done an excellent job with Gortz, and it's time to aim for the next big thing – Globe Cup qualification.
Season 657: 7th

ImageImage
Gesterlake FC
Ground: Castle Hill (38,630), Gesterlake
Colours: Yellow shirt, dark blue shorts, yellow socks
Honours: None
Manager: Image Louis Vaudrail
Lineup: Image Kariet Berterriex; Image Baladi Berhongaray, Image Aitzol Garat, Image Andrew Watson, Image Churio Sesma (C); Image Gurutz Nekochea, Image Yaizki Landa, Image Emil Rasmußen, Image Iraunkor Bages; Image Totakoxe Riarte, Image Georges Allonts
Shirt Sponsor: Dukomm (Astograthian telecommunications)
Notes: With the captaincy passing to the young Churio Sesma, Gesterlake face another season in the top flight looking towards a continued mid-table stability. Syndicatian international Andrew Watson and Iturributa national team player Yaizki Landa are their big signings to see themselves off; the defense remains iffy, but going forwards Vaudrail's side should be something to reckon with.
Season 657: 8th

ImageImage
East Railway
Ground: Narbaitza Memorial Stadium (17,930), Rumiatzi
Colours: Grey and black striped shirt, black shorts and socks
Honours: None
Manager: Image Egoitz Malgor
Lineup: Image Ruslan Ahkmejarmov; Image Nuno Inyurrita, Image Luki Olake, Image Yakobe Nikuesa, Image Biryayo Madinabeitia; Image Flappy Likessquidnowandthen, Image Denis Albar, Image Bazkoare Beyanabe, Image Kelmen Anchia; Image Lon Biyarba, Image Iker Malik (C)
Shirt Sponsor: Senbesa (Astograthian insurance)
Notes: Second-tier domination, and SBCC final, twelfth place and then ninth, East Railway are climbing and don't show much signs of stopping under the expert management of Egoitz Malgor. Money remains scarce and star winger Artzeiz Kuartango has been shipped off to the Inevitable Syndicate, but the club have scrounged up enough to sign international teenage prospects in Ruslan Ahkmejarmov and Flappy Likessquidnowandthen, which should at the very least be a challenge for commentators. If Iker Malik can stay injury free at 34 and rub some of his skill onto the up-and-coming Lon Biyarba, East Railway could profit massively.
Season 657: 9th

ImageImage
Athletic Club Rumiatzi
Ground: Gotorlekua (42,000), Rumiatzi
Colours: White and blue striped shirt, blue shorts and socks
Honours: None
Manager: Image Arkaitz Goyenola
Lineup: Image Martin van Snaartsen; Image Goi Salha, Image Buschak Dassuna, Image Ixona Zarrasbeitia; Image Bingen Mandaka, Image Emeryk Walczak, Image Erramun Guza (C), Image Ehiotz Subiri; Image Itzaina Soreasu, Image Eddie Barlow, Image Orkatz Kalaorra
Shirt Sponsor: Rumikola (Astograthian soft drinks)
Notes: Their performances don't match the support they enjoy in the capital, consistently selling out the venerable Gotorlekua, but this season Athletic Rumiatzi have strengthened themselves like never before. They've got Sicoutian keeper Martin van Snaartsen on loan from Echegoyan FC, Euran centre-back Buschak Dassuna brought all the way from Jan Mayen Islanders, Olympic Thessia's Emeryk Walczak and Olarria's Itzaina Soreasu, along with the homegrown Bingen Mandaka and Orkatz Kalaorra all itching to go. If there was ever a season for them to dream big(ger), it's this one.
Season 657: 10th

ImageImage
Athletic Club Olarria
Ground: North Point Stadium (44,270), Olarria
Colours: Claret shirt with sky blue hoop, claret shorts and socks
Honours: None
Manager: Image Bayardo Morriyas
Lineup: Image Bela Darkibel; Image Luken Iturricha, Image Netto Hikari, Image Yosu Arankibia (C), Image Geoffrey Démont; Image Riemi Kakuta, Image Otto Partanen, Image Agozti Ibarran, Image Ibon Galdo; Image Victoria Hellion, Image Bakar Oronio
Shirt Sponsor: Barrertze (Astograthian tourism services)
Notes: It was messy, but Olarria managed to get the approval to sign former Iturributan national team boss Bayardo Morriyas in replacement of the sacked Eate Orkiola. The shift has made itself felt immediately, Yosu Arankibia not just moved into the starting lineup but made captain, following the retirement of Anton Axpuru, and surrounded with the signings of Sunrisian Netto Hikari and Valladar Geoffrey Démont. Mytanar Otto Partanen now takes up the left wing; the forward line of him, Ibarran and Galdo, with Oronio as fulcrum and Hellion as spearhead of the attack, is looking deadly. Morriyas' performance with the national team was irregular; let's hope he can put that behind and show the kind of exciting play he managed with Iturributa Racing Club.
Season 657: 11th

ImageImage
South Factory
Ground: The Foundry (37,710), Rumiatzi
Colours: All yellow kit
Honours: None
Manager: Image Svennis Moller
Lineup: Image Rizvan Kadyrov, Image Ostadar Gurina, Image Gilen Salbarrei, Image Larendi Berruet, Image Iban Zarazua; Image Orkatz Gardeazabal, Image Michael Andrade, Image Balasi Pagadigorria, Image Yon Gayastegi (C); Image Mayu Yurrita, Image Anixi Yaureguialzo
Shirt Sponsor: Poplaberg (Polarian housing)
Notes: They don't look like going down, but South Factory seem to be stuck in their loop of mediocrity under Svennis Moller, perennially deprived of funds to carry out the kind of changes the club desperately needs. The defense is old and about as solid as the Rumiatzi Sentinel's credibility while the forwards are nothing too special; the midfield is very good, at least, and Michael Andrade should see to it staying that way.
Season 657: 12th

ImageImage
Royal Ibarbe
Ground: Erda Street (19,000), Ibarbe
Colours: Purple shirt, yellow shorts, purple socks
Honours: None
Manager: Image Iaki Urrutia
Lineup: Image Chomin Lezeta; Image Matin Echaugirre, Image Ilazki Altzibararechuluaga, Image Ametz Arburua, Image Yuanchiki Mutuberria; Image Eleder Arizmandez (C), Image Loyola Alegria, Image Iracho Ondoro, Image Anter Orradre, Image Gau Inchauspe, Image Arkaitz Gariaga
Shirt Sponsor: GaureBet (Astograthian betting)
Notes: Royal Ibarbe have been, in summary, extraordinarily lucky the last two seasons, aided with a few bursts of brilliance from manager Iaki Urrutia and some of their players, especially the veteran Gau Inchauspe. New goalkeeper Chomin Lezeta and youngster Ilazki Altzibararechuluaga is the talk of the city, but with a squad that doesn't hold up to any other on paper they'll likely need a planetary alignment to stay up.
Season 657: 13th

ImageImage
Ituraitz Victory
Ground: Ituraitz Sporting Ground (63,000), Ituraitz – shared with Ituraitz FC
Colours: Blue shirt, white shorts, blue socks
Honours: Image 1 Royal Cup (639)
Manager: Image Steve Thompson
Lineup: Image Ametz Teyechea; Image Dei Zengotita, Image Igon Uribarry, Image Erramun Gambarri, Image Yelchu Apalategi; Image Abarrotz Ituarte, Image Bayardo Eskostegi, Image Loiola Muhaburu (C), Image Victor Äsmundsen; Image Aitzol Olaberry, Image Baladi Behelaborde
Shirt Sponsor: Petromok (Astograthian petrol)
Notes: Victory are on the back foot, reeling from a poor season that almost saw them drop into the hell of the second tier once more. Sacking Chachu Larreburo to bring in Ulsa's Steve Thompson is a step in the right direction, but with little time left in the transfer window and little money in the bank they've been unable to secure any major transfers. His players aren't bad in theory, especially Behelaborde and Äsmundsen, but Thompson has a big challenge ahead if he wants to stick around for longer than a season.
Season 657: 14th

ImageImage
Blue Mountain Range
Ground: Ximun Orieta Sporting Ground (34,000), Echegoyan
Colours: All light blue kit
Honours: None
Manager: Image Bizi Boutayre
Lineup: Image Amberlocks; Image Edur Raizabal (C), Image Fronden Abel, Image Etor Oyhanar, Image Errolan Raskolin, Image Erensuge Mezanza; Image Hannibal, Image Marchot Zabaliauregi, Image Baleren Uruztarzu, Image Mikelatz Algarte; Image Todor Arreche
Shirt Sponsor: Notzi Zombees (Taeshani energy drinks)
Notes: It seems to be a law of the universe that, no matter how poorly they do, Blue Mountain Range simply will not go down. The board seem to equate this with keeping Bizi Boutayre in his post, so there he stays despite being almost 70 and continuing to disappoint the fans with performances that don't match the quality of the available players. The defense is strong as ever and backed up with a great keeper as the Crystal Empire's Amberlocks, but from the midfield up it's a mess. It's either relegation or yet another close shave.
Season 657: 15th

ImageImage
Royal Arexa
Ground: Goyaingerua Stadium (31,810), Arexa
Colours: All white kit
Honours: Image 1 Royal Cup (647)
Manager: Image Milian Erburu
Lineup: Image Marchot Sedarri; Image Endira Elichagaray, Image Elorri Legaspi, Image Mendiko Eguia, Image Piarres Otadui; Image Iraitz Narbarte, Image Minatsu Jinnai, Image Ambe Anchustegi (C); Image Aita Garmendia, Image Argina Ulariaga, Image Sendoa Bordaberry
Shirt Sponsor: Kirrolen (Iturributan energy drinks)
Notes: Back from three seasons in the wilderness, Royal Arexa pulled off an astounding 134 goals in 42 matches last year – it'll be harder to duplicate this year, but everyone is wary of the Garmendia – Ulariaga – Bordaberry trio. Kitsuneshima teenager Minatsu Jinnai, on loan from Royal Rumiatzi, should also make things interesting. Erburu's work is coming to fruition, and Arexa should be able to stay up without too much trouble.
Season 657: Second Division champions

ImageImage
Basabe Old Boys
Ground: New Beltzura Stadium (46,000), Basabe
Colours: Red shirt, white shorts, red socks
Honours: None
Manager: Image Lapurdi Abaitua
Lineup: Image Gorosti Mendigibel; Image Diegoche Baldies, Image Gaxan Minola, Image Uzuri Irachabal (C), Image Froila Kereyasu; Image Garin Muguruza, Image Gilamu Garas, Image Aralar Echabarria, Image Beremando Albarobide, Image Ler Migura; Image Atarrabi Beresiartua
Shirt Sponsor: Amuarraina Errege (Astograthian fish products)
Notes: Basabe Old Boys have made history. Long has their city, one of the largest and most important of Astograth, been without First Division football – and not only are they the first from Basabe, but the first club to play in the First Division without being a founding member of the Astograthian Football League, being admitted to the pyramid in the fifth season of play. It wasn't easy but it's been a long time coming – they're here, maybe not to stay, but certainly to make themselves felt and be the envy of Basabe.
Season 657: 2nd in Second Division

ImageImage
Urizaharra FC
Ground: Kaizubia (18,450), Urizaharra
Colours: All dark blue kit
Honours: None
Manager: Image Zorion Legeren
Lineup: Image Raitin Minaya; Image Burni Beyaitz, Image Machin Kaldez, Image Seber Mihura, Image Remir Ligorria; Image Marchel Ybargengoitia (C), Image Egoi Besard, Image Chordon Endara, Image Atseden Insaurralde, Image Oskitz Biyar, Image Gilamu Echegonkelhay
Shirt Sponsor: Cheruen (Astograthian beer)
Notes: Certainly not a strong side, but under the watchful eye of former Astograthian and Iturributan international Zorion Legeren, Urizaharra FC hope to stay in the top flight for longer than a season or two. Burni Beyaitz, former international and veteran of Astograth University, along with Chordon Endara, Egoi Besard and the young Gilamu Echegonkelhay, have been pinpointed as the key players upon with Urizaharra must build upon, but until kick-off the club's fate is a painful uncertainty.

Beaverriver Soccer Season 22

After a thrilling end to the season 21 between the now two time straight champion Wes TY and recently promoted AFC Kawall with goal difference determining who was champion, Wes TY and Trolls are AFC was two wins yet again from the group stage. Now there are talks about Beaverriver soccer hitting the dark ages due to the fact that in the most recent cycles, All Beaverriverian clubs only get one or two wins in the qualifying rounds and the Nation's coefficient is soon going to take a big hit when Trolls are AFC successes are not counted anymore. Also puppet Felinetopia just passed by Beaverriver in the national team rankings. Nobody new are buying soccer clubs in the top division and it is just the same three clubs dominating the competition: Trolls are AFC, Wes TY, and Eviliton EFC.
