I'm thinking that perhaps there would be a few central Threads, where continuity an huge, sweeping actions that really had no place in smaller scale interactions would take place. From there, people could split off as they saw fit. I want to at least get the central hub up soon(ish) but I'm a bit too busy to devote nearly as much time as I want to the task, and after that goes the "Epic" scale In Character.
So much to do, not enough time in the century!

I think I'll put in a species app, but not bother with a nation. I tend to aim for characters anyway, and it will give me a good point of interaction with most players. My dearest Ascended will be spread far and wide in no real order or semblance of a nation, living amongst other species.
Because I really can't be bothered to make the time for nation-scale RPs, and I don't have the inspiration for them anyway.Species Name: The Ascended: individually known as Singers.
Appearance: See: Anatomy.
Biology and anatomy: Due to their rather exotic base composite element, a Singer can take on many different forms, limited only by the mass they comprise and their imagination. As such, individual variation is very much an overarching theme amongst the Ascended, and persons generally take on the form and structure of the civilization they most commonly interact with. In the company of only their fellows, their family or constructs, groups of Singers tend to assume a common form of near-human build and appearance, out of respect for the first race to Ascend, also known as the Singers, or the Choir Tenebris. That form is very much like the OOCly baseline human, except for dual-tone irises of fluctuating homogeneity. Skin, hair, build, bone structure, and other exterior markers of an individual tend to be recurrent, though variation is also frequent; a particular Singer may be tall and dark-haired one day, and short and swarthy the next, as according individual preference.
Height: Varies by individual and nearest species; in general terms Singers stand two to three meters in height, with outliers ranging down to a meter and up to ten meters.
Weight: Extremely varied; differentiated densities mean any Singer of average build can weigh between five and eight hundred kilos, with outliers ranging to extremes indeed.
Relative Survivability: Rather high. Destroying a Singer necessitates destroying all instances of an individual down to the last gram and preventing them from entering any new neural matrices until their essence decays entirely.
Natural Defenses/Abilities: The Ascended are composed of flowmetal, a rather curious substance further explained in the factbook in my sig.
Unnatural abilities: Singers are not natural beings, but rather constructed forms for the psyches of sentients. As such, existing is a rather unnatural ability.
Respiratory Gas: None necessary; cellular respiration does not occur in the matrices of a Singer, and as such no exchange gases are strictly required, merely mass to replace that lost to Dive ediation. Those Singers taking on the form of a different organic race will breathe the appropriate atmospheric mixture if their forms are fully replicated, and may be forced out of a given shape if gas integrity is lost and cellular respiration becomes untenable.
Base composite Element: Flowmetal.
Base Form and Ethnic Variations:
=========================================================
Life Span: Highly varied. Many nascent psyches fail to reach one rotation of age due to cognitive decay, but barring unforeseen circumstances most Singers face eternity as a friend, fearing only ennui and dementia.
Reproduction: Astonishingly rare. As inorganic beings Singers cannot reproduce in a conventional fashion; the process of creating a new life that has never known organic existence requires extreme amounts of love and dedication, with only couples having been joined for millenia being capable of such a sythesis. High rates of infant mortality and dissolution mean even less couples attempt such a feat as are capable, and as such the population of the Ascended is minute on a galactic scale. Sex for either reproduction or pleasure with organic races is indulged in by individuals, and not frowned upon, but the inevitable mayfly-December romance discourages such unions in all but the most extreme cases.
Intelligence Level: Variable. The intelligence of an individual increases with age until their neural matrices are saturated, at which point further matrices must be created to continue the learning process. Nascent psyches born to Singers are barely sapient, Aspirants retain their initial intelligence, and the most ancient of the Ascended are staggeringly cognizant.
Traits/Behavior/Disposition: Singers have as much individual variation in behavior and disposition as the summation of the galaxy, and as such any description is frankly irrelevant, as there is no such thing as "average" behavior for a sapient being.
Type: Eldritch Abomination
Aggression: In general, around a negative two. Their lifespan and congregational nature means most are fairly benevolent, but varied individuals can tread both ends of the spectrum from world-destroyers to beneficent uplifters.
Society and Cultural information:
I have a factbook, though some parts such as planetary holdings are obviously inapplicable.
Important Characters: Every individual I use will be both important and a character, so I'll be adding those as I go.

My nation is a constitutional human monarchy similar to the british empire in several aspects with human superiority, but still a healthy mix of foreign races, and an expansive empire with constant rebellious groups that have to be crushed by the unstoppable royal navy and its elite force of knights. Think of me as Britain in space or perhaps more like Naboo in starwars.
Also, Im planning for a possible civil war early on for those interested in a massive scale civil war, possibly provoked by the extremely corrupt parlaiment with dozens of rival factions and groups. More details willbe ironed out later if anybody is interested.
