Any community review on the species app? The species is made from scratch, so it may be a little hard to judge...

I'm going to post my species app before my nation app.
Species Name:There is no true name, usually referred to as Artificials.
Appearance:http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2013/124/b/f/organic_robot_3_by_yafd-d642l8z.jpg
Biology and anatomy:Though technically, the Artificials are entirely mechanical, there are many components of their bodies that seem quite organic. Inside the bodies of the Artificials are specialized organ like systems, and a viscous fluid flows through tubes and pipes as a coolant. Some specialized units are able to mimic other species almost perfectly, the only giveaway being the insides.
Height:About 2 meters tall
Weight:200-300 pounds depending on the model.
Relative survivability: They can take quite a beating, though once their hull is punctured, and they begin leaking fluid it's a pretty sure sign that they won't last much longer.

Natural Defenses/Abilities:The fact they do not need to eat or drink or sleep is definitely a plus for them.
Unnatural abilities:If you mean supernatural, nothing like that.

Respiratory Gas: They don't breathe in our sense of the word, but they do intake air to cool down their interiors, this can be any gas as long as it's relatively cool.
Base composite Element:silicon

Base Form and Ethnic Variations: There are no ethnic variations, however there are different models meant for different purposes. There are war models, which are more stocky and heavy. There are flying drones that lack limbs. There are even entire ships that are one AI.
=========================================================
Life Span:The usual body lasts about 500-900 years, without any hostile forces. If they undergo regular maintenance, they can survive nearly indefinitely.
Reproduction:Virtually stagnant. New AIs are only made to replace fallen ones or to colonize new worlds.
Intelligence Level:8.5/10
Traits/Behavior/Disposition:Revering of organic life, nearly worshipping it.They are often extremely humble, and speak formally.

Type:Artificial
Aggression: 0, very neutral.
Society and Cultural information:Society for the AIs is extremely egalitarian, everyone's voice is heard. Religion plays a major role in the decisions they make, and they are quick to defend their beliefs. There are no sexes, as in male and female, though the AIs are usually born with a natural tendency to be either feminine or masculine.

Important Characters:
Terrstai Yseff Liopus Trest, Administrator of the Artificals.

I'll begin working on the Great Swarm of Damballah's app tomorrow. Though a race of transluscent alien parasitic amoebas of a colour and consistancy most eyes cannot see (making looking at them very disorienting), they are of course a friendly race more interested in trade and diplomacy than war.

Just getting a head start on my characters... It's fairly basic so far. :(

Species Name: Nyte (Or formally - Nyteborne)
Appearance:
Image

Biology and anatomy: The people of Nyte are for all intents and purposes human. The only real difference is their leaning towards albinism. On average, hair colors range from whites, greys, light blues, pinks/reds, and yellows. Darker hair colors are rare, and considered unusual. Eye colors are usually greys, blues, yellows, reds, and light caramel brown.
Height: On average - 5'9" for men and 5'3" for women.
Weight: On average - 175lbs for men and 107lbs for women.
Relative survivability: Without any modification, the people of Nyte are just as squishy as any other human.

Natural Defenses/Abilities: Due to having adapted to living in a low light environment, the people of Nyte have amazing low light/nightvision.
Unnatural abilities: They do have an odd tendency to blend in with shadows, and remain hidden in the strangest of places... Whether or not this is due to some unnatural ability has never been determined.

Respiratory Gas: Oxygen.
Base composite Element: Carbon.

Base Form and Ethnic Variations:Human/Humanoid - Albino
=========================================================
Life Span: Approxomately 85-120 years un-augmented.
Reproduction: The same as with humans.
Intelligence Level: 7.5/10 on average.
Traits/Behavior/Disposition: The people of Nyte are a fairly violent sort of people due mostly to their overly violent history. As firm believers that "You Only Live Once" they endeavor to fill their lives with as much of everything as they can. (Usually this leads to a live hard, party hard, fight hard mentality.) When not fighting, most of the Nyteborne have a brooding/dour disposition or an overly sarcastic disposition that can be somewhat unsettling to outsiders... Not that the Nyteborne actually care about this, because they seriously could care less, and usually work to annoy others on purpose just for their own amusement.

Type: Mammal.
Aggression: 6.5/10

Society and Cultural information: Nytes society and culture is an odd mixture of forward thinking dreamers that are leading Nytes current change toward a more enlightened and growing society, and the older, guild-led society born from centuries of internal strife and violence that has devolved into a mess of drug addicted gangs, demon worshipping cultists/zealots, and criminals who resist this change for all they are worth; usually with random bouts of violence and rebellion. Oddly enough, most of the surviving guilds have evolved with the times and now fulfil important roles in business, intelligence gathering, colonization, and exploration.

Important Characters:
"THE WRECKING CREW"

-Bruticus
Viper Medium Assault Mech
Image
Background:
Designed as a medium support mecha the Viper is a surprisingly versatile unit that has proven to be equally effective against infantry and armored units alike. Able to function singly, or in squads of four to twelve units the Viper is perhaps the most versatile mecha Nyte military R&D has ever developed; standing a little over twice as tall as the average male, and with the ability to operate in any environment from the cold void of space to the depths of the seas these units have been a mainstay in Nytes military for the last three hundred and twenty-five years, and there are no plans to replace them any time soon...
Crew: 1 Combat AI
Armament:
1 of the following
-HLC3 "Halcyon" Laser Cannon
-Railcannon
2 Triple Barreled Laser Cannons
2 Micro-Missile Launchers

Bruticus is a heavily modified combat AI installed in one of Nyte's standard Viper Medium Assault Mecha. The legal, semi-legal, and totally illegal modifications made to its operating perameters by Natalia Song has left it with a somewhat sadistic personality and a desire to inflict pain and suffering on its enemies.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

-Azrael "Cap'n" Kane
Equipment: Nytelord Power Armor, LC-23B Laser Carbine with Belt-Fed Grenade Launcher, Force Lance, Micro-Missile Launcher, RC3 Railgun, various grenades, stunners, holo-pad, cigars.

Azrael Kane is a retired Nytelord (Nyte Special Forces). Having grown bored with his retirement, he joined Nyte Spec-Intel several years ago and was assigned to lead his current crew. Several years, and dozens of hair-raising situations later has seen him become even more serious than he already was; perhaps to help offset the insanity of the rest of his crew. Middle aged, Azrael walks with a limp (from the wound that ended his military career) and has a no-nonsense attitude. While gruff, and usually short with his much younger crew, he has come to see them as family of sorts and sometimes acts as a father to them.
Age - 51
Height - 5'9"
Weight - 192lbs
Hair Color/Style - Silver/Short and spikey
Eye Color - Grey
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

-Romeo "Womanizer" Montel
Equipment: Wraith Power Armor, AMR70 Anti-Material Rifle, MAULER Chainblade, HADES Plasma Cannon, EMP Pulse Cannon, various grenades, stunners, holo-pad, a large stash of alcahol and pornographic material.

Romeo is the ships pilot and specialist. An expert marksman and skilled pilot, Romeo was discharged from the military after a scandal involving the daughter of an Admiral and several illicit videos that found their way onto Nytes Intranet (basically the internet). A compulsive womanizer, Romeo just can't seem to "keep it in his pants" and his womanizing has caused several wild adventures over the years. He's currently set his sights on Natalia Song but has had little to no success.
Age - 27
Height - 5'11"
Weight - 187lbs
Hair Color/Style - Ice Blue/Long with a ponytail
Eye Color - Red
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

-Natalia Song
Equipment: Two Hailfire Plasma Pistols, Digital Weapons, Sub-dermal Reinforced Bone Structure (Armored), Cybernetic Optical Enhancement Device (Multiple Modes), Bodyglove (Armored), Combat Stimulant Injector System, Holographic PDA with Computer Up-link and built-in Holo-Pad, Sub-Dermal CPU with Wireless Intranet Up-link, Gremlin Code Cracking Device/Hacking Tool.

Natalia Song is a member of "The Lost" Assassin Guild. Having been assigned to work with Nyte Spec-Intel, she functions as a hacker, information broker, intel officer, and is also the ships quartermaster. A bit mentally unhinged, she suffers from the occasional 'episode' that usually leaves her laughing psychotically. Not only is she aware of Romeo's efforts to woo her she is actively stringing him along for her own amusement and entertainment. She is also known to spend more time working on Bruticus that she spends with the rest of the crew put together...
Age - 21
Height - 5'3"
Weight - 155lbs (due to modifications and implants)
Hair Color/Style - Jet Black/Extremely long and straight
Eye Color - Dark Blue
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

-Victor Syn
Equipment: Mark V Power Armor, Mark IV Laser Pistol, ST50 Combat Shotgun with Executioner and Manstopper Rounds, Anti-Personnel Grenade Launcher (Smoke, Stun, Gas, and Fragmentation Grenades), various grenades, stunners, Holo-Pad.

Victor Syn was once one of Nytes Arbitrators (law enforcement) until he was picked up by Nyte Spec-Intel. His skill in detective work, interrogation, and his keen eye for details has proven to be invaluable on a number of occasions. Years of dealing with the worst types of people and seeing innumerable scenes of depravity and violence has left him jaded and fairly cold towards other people.
Age - 31
Height - 5'10"
Weight - 205lbs
Hair Color/Style - Blonde/Short and curly
Eye Color - Amber

Conrad Curze - The Emperor of Nyte
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The House of Augury

Image
The standard of the House and its citizens

Civilization Name:The House of Augury
Civilization Age: 540 years
Government Type: The House of Augury is a hereditary, constitutional monarchy with a parliament of around 300 members, one for each system under the House authority. The Parliament, however, is very weak, riddled with corruption and bribery, resulting in an untrusting, suspicious populace.
Government Information: The House, ruled by the family of Augury, attempts to be a moderate, sensible government, while the corruption in parliament allows for the rise of multi system corporations and unchecked military aggression against peaceful xenon races. In short, the House of Augury desires the abolition of slavery, checking of armed aggression and workers rights, while parliament constantly works against them.
Government Status: A small militant factor of minority races threatens to end the peace, and plunge the nation into civil war. The House is currently on its guard. Furthermore, numerous fringe world conflicts have resulted in high military spending, but these are not military actions, merely police actions against unruly mobs.
Population: 300 systems, with a total of 2.4 trillion citizens and slaves.
Home World/Capitol: System Arch, Titus, Port Silver.
Capital Status: The capital is situated on a massive oceanic world with islands scattered about, resulting in a large mix of aquatic species making their homes in and around the capital. The sleek, ocean based capital city is completely based on struts high above the water, with over 40 million people living in a single massive city, while aquatic species maintain the city’s mechanics below the surface.
Notable locations and such: The Capital building itself encompasses an entire city block, and its around 20 stories high. The military, parliament and most other governmental functions centralize here, while the palace is situated just a few blocks away. The palace, home to the royal family, is the symbol of Elitist control over the House and its possessions, a beautiful work of architectural artistry.
Founding Species: The Humans are obviously in control, as the House monarchs are human themselves, but many species play a prominent role in the running and operation of the house, the parliament being comprised of only 45% humans, and many planetary governors being of non human descent. However, it must be realized that humans simply have a social advantage.

Other Species: (You know what, since I’m considering making this empire as culturally diverse as possible, I’ll just brainstorm some now, and add a bunch more later. Is that fine?)
=========================================================
Society and Cultural information: The House, as diverse as it is, has a strict caste system, in which the members of the House form an elite class, alongside the wealthy and influential. this caste system uses its power to maintain absolutist control over the citizens, who feel oppressed, though most don’t feel angered enough to challenge the system. After all, they are fed, paid and have decent homes, and a revolution might do nothing but jeopardize all of that. Many minority races feel oppressed, and threaten to take up arms against the House, a threat that sadly is often seen through by bloody wars that can only end in a House victory. Thus, the House is a nation of Elitist control over a subjugated working class.
Society Status Very powerful ruling class.
Languages Over 11,000, mostly English
Economy:6. The economy is good, flourishing on most planets, but there is enough poverty in some of the fringe or crime worlds that the economy cannot be fairly represented as anything more than just fine. While the economy is good, the almost 45% of all wealth is in the hands of the Elite, a mere 1% of the entire population.
Industry: 8 Very good, with entire planets devoted to production of weapons, ships and droids. Of course, this is a result of a parliament that caters to the desires of the corporate masters and crime lords, and the rule of Corporate lords.
Production/Construction:7. The House of Silver loves to build, and no matter where it is, the family often funds the creation of libraries, public shelters and palaces, just if to be patrons of the architectural arts. Thus, the entire House is blessed with a large number of government funded, lovingly crafted soup kitchens and junk yards.
Soopah Powah: The Royal Navy is a massive force with over 12 billion enlisted in either active or reserve roles, maintaining over 12,000 carriers, all massive warships with crews in the millions.. To fight against the power of the Navy’s carriers is pure madness, and would be unadvised.
Specialties/Advanced Sciences: Rapid manufacturing capabilities, especially of droids, with most households having at least a single servant droid, anywhere in the empire.
Strengths:Strong devotion to royal family, powerful military and extremely successful economy. Furthermore, reserves of war droids from past wars and entire dump planets for ancient battleships could result in a viably much more powerful House military, though most are admittedly held by private corporations.
Weaknesses:Lots of internal dissent, hard to control fringe and crime worlds, too many varied opinions for parliament to be effective, and lots of room for corruption. In fact, the Parliament is undeniably corrupt, and many separatist groups use this as a leverage board.
=========================================================
Map Claim Size: 6 or 7, as I do have a sizeable nation
Grid Coordinates: I really don’t give a dam either way. I can add in coordinates later if I’m accepted.
Map Claim Color:Please, Purple.

Holdings/Territory: 300 systems, with at least 4 in open rebellion at any give time.

Colonization/expansion:The House itself doesn’t go about trying to expand. Rather, independent systems (or individuals), if wealthy enough, can opt to send expeditions where they can petition for a house charter. If granted, the system gets to maintain an economic colony for around 100 years, but after that time, the colony is independent, and allowed to maintain itself, usually with support of the navy. Sometimes, these power transfers turn bloody, with systems refusing to give up their colonies, but overall, the system has worked pretty well.
=========================================================
Foreign policy: The House prefers peaceful trade relations, but parliament typically turns to the desires of the arms dealers, and provoke a massive scale war, in which naval forces and droids might be used in combat.
Diplomacy: None.

Technological Age:Maybe…400 years after earth? Not super advanced, but enough so that overall living quality tends to be relatively high, and most people can have enough to eat.
FTL Capabilities: Decent
Inter Planetary TravelSuperb.
=========================================================
Military Information: The entire core of the military forces of the House is the Navy, all hands down. With massive super fleet carriers, the House’s carriers are unstoppable, massive behemoths of war and power, with gold plating on some of the more prominent vessels.

Doctrine: Massive carriers travel in groups of 4 carriers, each group usually strong enough to wrestle a system down to the ground with massive nuclear warheads, destruction beams and lots of firepower, as well as having a large escort of fighters and frigates in its many docking bays in addition to several divisions of mechanized infantry units.

Army: The little army that is there is reservist and parliamentary forces with simple blasters, speeders, some light walkers and artillery. The House doesn’t count on ground forces being deployed, though some corporations, hopeful for contracts, have millions of cyborgs, automated tanks and other droid weaponry stored away in case of a large scale war. However, there are the Eternal Knights, a highly trained force of marines with superhuman strength and agility due to their connection with the psionic warp. They tend to be irregular troops, and rarely constitute a force of their own, and are attached to larger military units, or serve as royal guards.

Navy: It’s all about carriers. Each carrier holds about 1,000 fighters and 80 frigates, with close ranged ship to ship combat cannons as well as far ranged orbital bombardment weaponry such as warheads and destruction beams. Carriers have heavy energy shields, but said shields might be torn at close range by precision fire or extremely high impact shells. Other than that, carriers are nigh on undestroyable, though it is possible to take out their weapons systems, fighter escorts and even some of their engines.

Were kinda of different, my race is a race of AI's in robotic bodies, their emotionless, however their starting to develop personalities and emotions as their programmed to evolve.

Their ruled by a single AI but left to compute most things on their own, the Super AI Nexus only steps in if someones vastly under performing.

Don't worry if you think this will be a race of boring robots, they have the starts of personalities and act rather differently. For example one might annihilate an entire planet while the other might plan on studying the species so they can learn more about them.

Semi-WIP species App:

Species Name: Arelion
Appearance: (Image if there is one, alternately, you can just type "See: Anatomy" if you have a text description.)
Biology and anatomy: While they appear similar to humans, the Arelion species has a wider variety of eye colors (all the human norms plus white, black, gold, violet and red) and only a few hair colors (white, black, brown). Arelions have slightly more sharp teeth from their more carnivorous nature. Metabolism is much faster then that of an average human. Internally, the Arelions possess two separate hearts and their skeletal system has evolved with a naturally occurring carbon fiber reinforcement. The hearts need to be perfectly in sync or the results are fatal. Due to this need, Arelions are all highly physically fit.
Height: 1.6 - 2.2 meters. Avg: 1.8
Weight: 68 - 113 kg. Avg: 73 kg
Relative survivability: The Arelion are extremely resilient people, however like humans, they are very susceptible to certain forms of injury.

Natural Defenses/Abilities: Carbon Fiber-reinforced skeleton, very high pain tolerance, required to maintain supreme physical condition. The Arelion do not possess the human fight or flight defense response. Instead, there is simply only a 'fight' instinct. Surprisingly, this does not lead to a very high murder rate within the Principality, simply because of the Arelion's code of honor. That's not to say there is no murder, however.
Unnatural abilities:

Respiratory Gas: Nitrogen/Oxygen mix.
Base composite Element: Carbon

Base Form and Ethnic Variations: There is very little in the way of ethnic variations. The most visible is skin tone, with Caucasian being dominant and a pale gray being the minority.
=========================================================
Life Span: 90-120 ASY (165-221 Earth Years)
Reproduction: Slightly slower than human baseline.
Intelligence Level: 7.5/10
Traits/Behavior/Disposition: Honorable, stubborn and prideful. While a few have tendencies to be secretive and backstabbing, the majority of the Arelion people are straightforward and honest.

Type: Mammal
Aggression: 6

Society and Cultural information: There is no singular culture with the Arelion species. Instead, there's about 7 base cultures-- one for each megacity on Arelia-- with any number of sub-cultures within those. As a whole, the Arelion value honor and honesty, rarely going behind someone's back. Militarily, this is a different story, though.

Important Characters:
-Prince Thoth Bathory
-Princess Isabelle Bathory
-Mathias Bathory
-General Alexander Steele
-Commander Ezekiel Ahi
-Rear Admiral Eltich Ahi

@ Yortini; Of course, of course. Perhaps, -and here's a bit of a shameless self promotion, mind you- you did keep the memory recording bit in a different way? I my actual cannon nation, all individuals travel around with a sort of log book, a little recording device that keeps track of their thoughts and personal musings throughout the day, as well as recording their actions and conversations. The citizenry has a sort of,... almost religious reverence for memory. Specifically, being remembered. To them, dying is meaningless. "Eh, so what? I had a good run. Heck, maybe I get to die for a good cause?" But the one thing they fear the most, however, is being forgotten. Everyone wishes to be remembered for something, no matter how mundane. And thus, their logs are essentially who they really are. Once uploaded to the archives, they are -to them- an effective form of immortality.

Perhaps, something like this might be an interesting facet to consider?

In any case, Approved!

@ Finium; It's brilliant.
#1) Basically, it's a lot like constructing regular transportation infrastructure if I'm understanding this correctly. Roads and highways specifically. As the great crew of old, they pave the way through the stars, not with asphalt but gravity. And to finish the job, a brave explorer (or automated ship, but what ev's) must pioneer the way to new stars, and may return home triumphantly once they have planted their beacon as firmly as they would affix their banner upon the highest peak of their landfall in the old days. I love the idea, if you ask me it carries with it a kind of romantic flare.

#2) Essentially like disposable one shot drives that trump the regular, slower engine? An interesting concept with a number of implications both economic and social. I wonder, perhaps, what kind of effect this would have on ship design? In order to carry each "charge" they'd have to have individual containment systems to keep the wormholes intact and a devoted system to move them, as well as the systems to use them. I'd also imagine them being "zipped" for compactness/stability during travel as well.

@ Equalsun; Nothing negative to say, nothing positive to say. It's kind of right down the middle as it is, but eh, I digress. Most of what I know is off hand knowledge I pieced together over yonder. Truth be told, I never saw anything that was really wrong with them beyond the so called immortality. But really, could it be said that it may be any different from any other faith? Do we not all have some belief, even in the belief of nothing, to a similar end? Accepted.

@ Yalos; Welp! Let's chalk it up to my ignorance then!
For the planet to system ratio, I find those numbers reasonable. Really, I was just making a statement about how surprisingly low the population density was. Without really knowing what colonial tech was like I could only guess, and was half right for what it was worth. You make quite a few good points there, and I think I should find myself quite embarrassed for questioning your motives now that I understand how much thought you put into things. That goes for the capital building as well,... it really does say something you can't quite match on the same level with just words.
But as for the transport chutes, I'll be the first to admit I know absolutely nothing about how they should work, so, today I've learned something new!

With revamping you military, I doubt anyone would particularly care too much.
Might I suggest upgrading your carriers, then to a slightly higher class, the ever obscure (and one of my personal favorites) Fleet Carrier? If you must know, it's exactly what it sounds like. Monolithic and nigh unkillable, when they pop open they barf out an entire fleet. While this means that fleet size is ultimately limited, it also minimizes the need for support and logistics ships to follow your ships around. And depending on your perspective they could greatly increase fuel efficiency by using some alternate form of state of the art propulsion.

As for the rest? Well, I'm nothing really worth to say left. Approved one way or another.
(Also, as a note, you don't have to repost your app, just let me know when you go back and edit it. I'm not THAT lazy!

@ Tribea; plenty of interesting directions you could go from there, so I'd give it my seal of quality.

@ Nezon; Aye we do, and Finium is sort of right. People can group themselves however they like, I won't force them into anything they don't want. So, have at it! Ideas like yours always make me really stop and consider a whole bunch of philosophical mess you and no one else probably cares about! XP

@ Etunarii; Approved.

Time to edit the OP to reflect recent developments,...

Interesting, I quite like your ideas. Maybe the Artificials upload the memories of their ancestors, keeping them alive in that way.

Oh, just in case anybody else is thinking of a similar idea, my people for the most part are going to reside on a single Ringworld with about five other systems close by that they maintain for cultural purposes.

I brought in mine, so I don't see why not. This looks like THE RP to bring your nation in.

But since they are part organic, i would be able to get the brain and colonize them. That would give control of their brains, AND get some nutrients.

Well they aren't actually organic, when I say they're part organic, I mean they look biological, and have some artificial organs. Their brains are pretty much just computers, but maybe you could mutate your fungi into some computer virus strain or something.

I was going to have my home planet actually be a collection of thousands of space stations orbiting the lost world of Ethlan, the home of the creators. The world was left barren after the great devastation, so the Artificials try to preserve the ruins and don't allow anyone to live on the surface, besides priests.

Kyuria, when can we expect an IC? I cannot wait for what looks like an epic FT RP.
