Civilization Name: Taehan Interstellar Empire
Civilization Age: 2400 years (as in, human civilization around the year 2400. The Empire is 600 years old.)
Government Type: The Taehan Empire is a union of Earth's nations as well as numerous off-world and extra-solar colonies. All governing power in the Empire is derived from the capital in Hanseong; Imperial national law is the uniform, supreme law across the Empire.
The Empire's head of state and head of government are both positions held by the Taehan Emperor, always a well-decorated military officer who has earned the right to rule either through the favor of the previous Emperor or through a military coup. The Emperor has the power to conduct all affairs of state himself (though he mostly delegates such affairs to his subordinates,) and all government decisions on a national level must be approved by him. However, the Emperor's actions must not violate the Nine Imperial Mandates, lest the military and the citizenry be obligated to turn upon him.
Once the Taehan Emperor has obtained his position, he holds it for life, whether it ends by natural causes or is cut short by a bullet.
Legislative power is given to the unicameral Imperial National Assembly. The Imperial National Assembly works in a simple manner: in order for a mandate to be brought to the Emperor for approval, two-thirds of the Assembly must approve of it and ensure that it does not violate any of the Nine Imperial Mandates. Each of the seven star systems in the Empire is given two representatives, military officers hand-picked by their superiors and brought before the Emperor for review and approval.
The only political party in the Empire is the Korean Nationalist Front, which is controlled by the military.
Judicial power is vested in the Imperial Ministry of Justice. The Minstry of Justice runs every single court in the Empire, and holds the authority of judge, jury and executioner. As with the other two branches of the Imperial government, the Ministry of Justice must abide by the Nine Imperial Mandates lest they suffer a purge.
Government Information: Nothing else truly worth knowing, though the current Taehan Emperor is Grand Marshal Jeong Tae-Won
Government Status: Stable.
Population: 791 Billion
Home World/Capitol: Hanseong, Kel-Elysian Mainland (fictional peninsula between Sakhalin and Kamchatka, connected to the Russian Far East via land bridge,) Earth, Sol System
Capital Status: The Imperial capital of Hanseong has grown to absorb every other city within the far western quarter of the Kel-Elysian Mainland, and its population has swelled to nearly 500 million people. Although the standard of living is decent in most areas, the city is very crowded and afflicted heavily by organized crime.
Notable locations and such:
-Taeseong Fortress: Imperial complex housing the Taehan Emperor's throne, as well as many administrative offices of the Imperial government.
Founding Species: Human
Other Species: None
=========================================================
Society and Cultural information: Imperial society is based primarily upon Sino-Korean values and heavily Confucian in nature, but has evolved heavily with foreign human influences and immigration over the centuries. Imperial society, though openly accepting of humans regardless of race or ethnicity, is humanocentric and xenophobic; non-humans are not allowed in Imperial territory and are hunted down without respite once discovered. The Empire is also known to engage in wars of genocide against openly hostile alien species.
Imperial technology is highly advanced, especially in the fields of weaponry and medicine. Imperial pulse weaponry is highly sought after and of special note is Imperial rejuvenation medical technology, which uses genetically engineered bacteria to extend the lifespan of humans by at least twenty, usually fifty, years (depending on lifestyle,) and to slow the visual aging process. Rejuvenation bacteria has become so cheap that it is put into public water sources.
Society Status: A complex, well-advanced society, but warlike and xenophobic.
Languages: Korean (Official)
Economy: 7
Industry: Immense industrial capacity. The height of Imperial industrial prowess can be seen in the colossal shipyards and factories on Mars, Pluto and Alpha Centauri.
Production/Construction: Moderate-Fast. Advanced construction techniques make for fast and efficient production and building, though large projects such as starships and space stations still take time, usually one to two years. Resources can also be a problem.
Soopah Powah: Military. The Imperial Guard draws upon thousands of years of human military experience to form its doctrines; Imperial weapons technology is highly advanced, and the Empire's society can be seen as aggressive and militaristic.
Specialties/Advanced Sciences: Energy weaponry, cloaking, basic gravity manipulation technology, cell regeneration (medical,) rejuvenation.
Strengths: Advanced medical technology, population.
Weaknesses: Imperial aggression can lead to unnecessary, expensive warfare; natural need to expand due to use of resources.

Map Claim Size: 4/10 (7 star systems)
Grid Coordinates: The square that the Solar System would be around, and 3 squares around it.
Map Claim Color: Red.
Holdings/Territory: Take note that Imperial planetary naming standards for systems other than the Solar System place the number of the planet before the system name (for example, 3 Cheonha is the 3rd planet in the Cheonha system.)

Colonization/expansion:
-Phase 1: Imperial scout ships discover a new planet ripe for the taking, whether inhabited or not.
-Phase 2: Imperial Guard Space Fleet warships arrive in orbit of the planet in appropriate force. Imperial Guard Ground Force troops and Marines are deployed to secure a planetary beachhead.
-Phase 3: Once the planetary beachhead is secure, the Imperial Guard Ground Force begins a campaign of pacification (in the case of human habitation) or extermination (in the case of non-human inhabitants.) In the case of an uninhabited planet, this phase is replaced with a phase of exploration by recon and survey teams.
-Phase 4: Imperial settlers begin to arrive and establish non-military centers of population.
=========================================================
Foreign policy: Aggressive expansionist; however, Imperial forces will not attack non-hostile ships without provocation.
Diplomacy: N/A
Technological Age: 386 years from the present day.
FTL Capabilities: High-speed; versatile. A long-distance warp jump with high accuracy will take several hours to plan out, and once the jump is complete the vessel will not be able to jump for four hours, lest the warp drive overheat and become damaged beyond the repair abilities of the ship's crew. Short, spur-of-the-moment emergency jumps are possible, but risky; such jumps are very inaccurate and put the warp drive under stress, not to mention the possibility of materializing inside of a star.

Military Information: WIP, but it'll work.
Doctrine: See factbook.
Army: The Imperial Guard Ground Force employs versatile units that can adjust on the fly, but don't excel at any particular role. A well-equipped, well-trained, all-volunteer force backed by powerful tanks, aircraft and artillery, the Ground Force is a fearsome foe in ground engagements. They are either deployed from ships or planetary bases.
Navy: The Imperial Guard Space Fleet, while large in size, is somewhat more limited than that of other factions. Imperial ships rely upon speed, shielding and point defense systems to stay in the fight. On the offense, the Space Fleet employs directed energy, superheated plasma and photon-based weapons; boarding parties of Imperial Marines and Ground Force soldiers are also commonly used offensive tools.
Strengths: Land engagements of all types, offensive warfare of all types.
Weaknesses: Defensive space warfare, units do not excel at any particular role.
