It's really not that hard to sync it all up; just edit your dates to two weeks later. I see no reason why we might not all get two weeks leave after a carve up that left the squadron hovering at 50%. Would give command plenty of time to work out what their going to do next as well. That way, we all get to play on and no one sits out.

The Dorchester, Westminster, London

The short man with the slick hair and pencil mustache in the double-breasted pinstripe suit followed Benson into the bar, stopping at the door to light a cigarette as he watched Benson proceed to a table and greet the young lady sitting there. As Benson sat down and proceeded to converse with the girl, the man made his way to the bar and flagged down the bartender.

“Yes, sir, what can I get you?” asked the bartender as he approached.

“Whiskey and soda,” replied the man, who then turned away to keep an eye on Benson’s table.

“Certainly, sir,” said the bartender, who proceeded to pour the drink; after a minute he returned. “Here you are, sir, whiskey and soda.”

“Hmm, wha...?” replied the man as he turned back towards the bartender. “Oh, right, thank you,” he said as he pulled a coin from his pocket and placed it on the bar. “You know you’re lucky, mate, you’ve got some fine scenery to look at ’round ’ere! Cor, that’s a fine bird over there!”

“Is that so, sir?” asked the bartender as he rang up the drink in the till.

The man pulled out another coin. “’Ere, mate, maybe you can ’elp me out. You know if she’s goin’ steady with that bloke she’s with?”

“Which one?” asked the bartender as he leaned on the bar in front of the man.

“Over at that table, the brunette in burgundy,” he said, motioning towards the table with his head.

The bartender looked over at the table, then took the coin from the man’s hand and pocketed it. “You mean Jenny? If she’s going steady with him, it’s not exclusive.”

“Wot, she’s leadin’ a couple blokes on?”

“Well, there’s him for one, and I’ve seen her getting a bit too friendly with an Air Force pilot.”

“There’s got to be more than that, she’s got to ’ave an ’ole squadron of pilots waggin’ their togues at ’er!”

“No, it’s just the one chap. He looks like Leslie Howard, that’s how I know it’s the same one.”

“Looks like Leslie ’Oward, eh? I bet ’e’s got more birds on ’im than ’e knows wot to do with!” The man downed his drink and placed another coin on the bar. “Thanks, mate, looks like I’ve still got a chance with ’er! ’Ere’s a little something for your trouble.”

The man left the bar and walked out into the lobby, where he made his way to the public telephones; entering a phone box, he lifted the receiver, inserted a coin, and dialed a number.

A voice answered on the other end: “Yes, what is it?”

“Oi, guv, it’s Security. I’m at The Dorchester with Midas, checkin’ up on that girl you was talkin’ about.”

“And?”

“Well, I was chattin’ with the barkeep, and ’e says that ’e’s seen that bird with an RAF pilot wot looks like Leslie ‘Oward.”

There was a pause at the other end of the line. “I see. Did he give you an indication of how well they know each other?”

“The way ’e was sayin’ it sounds like it’s mostly physical, if you know wot I mean.”

“Yes, I understand your vulgar euphemisms.”

There was a brief silence before then man in pinstripes continued: “You want I should give ’er the usual treatment?”

“No, that won’t be necessary at this time. I’ll speak to Midas about this matter, in the meantime I want you to keep an eye on her.”

“Got it, guv,” he said as the line went dead.

The reason I didn't want you to do it was because I had been talking with Tiger about something happening right when we got back that was crucial in shedding light on Samantha's backstory, of which she has none right now.
