(OOC: Information about Sicoutimont's team can be found here. It's updated to the most recent cycle.)

Les Royales at Di Bradini Cup 27, in Saugeais!

Returning to the DBC after a Round of 16 loss to Legalese last time around, the youth of the SFA return to the pitch, this time travelling to Saugeais for a shot at glory. So, who's on this squad? Find out here!

Sandiego Venequez-Age 20-0 Int'l Tournaments
Maxime Elemanceur-Age 20-4 Int'l Tournaments (DBC 25&26, WC63&64)

The roster seems good on paper. The player with the most experience is Loic Lalond, who is also one of the oldest players on the team. Stan Sarault graduated the youth program just 2 months before the team selection, so the 22 year old cannot play. Sandiego Venequez will replace him. Alonso Davis and Bonne Jones compete in their final DBC, and Martin Van Snaartsen, the international for Gesterlake FC, gets his first opportunity at an international tournament for Les Royales. Lucas Dandenault is dangerous, even after missing WC64 with an ACL tear. Here's Sicoutimont's schedule:

Sicoutimont vs Thatius, @Hawkshead Point
Sangti vs Sicoutimont, @Stade Amaechi Olsen
Sicoutimont vs Equestrian States, @Hawkshead Point

Sicoutimont's base camp will be in Ville-Dupont, home of Hawkshead Stadium. Good luck to Les Royales in the group stage!

"The squad has an attacking mentality and I will try my best to implement them. I have promising players at my disposal and I have my eyes sighted on performing well in this Cup. And for some of the squad, it is time for them to show that they deserve a place for the World Cup 65." Atayde said.

One of the most promising midfielders in the lineup is Robin Linsangan. The 20-year old winger from Olympique Leonde has a blistering speed and a stamina of those of a water tank. He makes dangerous crosses and is also a free-kick specialist. Linsangan said in the press conference, "I am grateful to Alberto for giving me a chance to play in this tournament. I hope to make the World Cup squad for WC65. This tournament will be my showcase on what I can do on the pitch."

Other players in the conference were the captain Roochie Perez, Marty Balido, Tristan Isip, and Joed Apuntar. Perez, a defensive stalwart who is like a brick wall and has made strides with CF Rumasi. Balido is a shot stopper and can save shots from every side of the goalframe. Isip, a forward from Real Rosavilla,is a goal machine; he can shoot from anywhere, even a goal kick can bounce unexpectedly to the back of the net. Apuntar is a great winger for the future and can overlap, which makes him one of the most dangerous wingers in Sangti.

The squad will miss the services of Roman Ang, Mari Arceo, Keith Khan, Samuel Magsombol, Jude Frias and Erick Khan due to their participation at the Swamp Soccer World Cup IV.

Sangti will open their campaign against Equestrian States at Stade Amaechi Olsen in Montbenoit. after that they will face Sicoutimount at Hawkshead Point in Vill-DuPont. They will play the last match of the group stage against Thatius at Montbenoit.

Sangti is also awiating the release of the kit, also to be used by the national team.

The last Di Bradini Cup went rather well for the Syndicate, with the Youth Team performing exceptionally well, yet suffering a devastating loss from the then incumbent champions, Wight, that ended with the Syndicate finishing 4th. Back here with a vengeance, the youth team are hoping they'll do better this time, and possibly go on to win!

Licentian Under 21’s National Football Team

The Young Eagles are back after a six year absence from the Di Bradini Cup, and they want to come back with a bang. With three players from the full squad joining up with the Under 21 side, the side is looking fairly strong, and there should be some new stars for the Cyan-and-Gold in this squad.

Manager- Charles Gray:
A young manager, and a coach under Luke Thompson at Colesham, Gray has impressed on the RLFA enough to be taken on as Under 21’s manager for the Licentian Islands. He’ll be following the same scheme as the senior side, to keep the players familiar if they are moved up to Schwartz’s squad in the future. In the meantime, he looks to add a prestigious trophy to the cabinet for the Cyan-and-Gold.

Goalkeepers:

1 – Shay Jamieson – 21 years – Carrington United
12 – Finn Muir – 17 years – Houghton Rangers
13 – Cian Simpson – 20 years – AFC Farnworth

Full Backs:

2 – Ajay Walker – 21 years – SC Montfort
3 – Julian Ferguson – 21 years - Gaels
14 – Elliott McKenzie – 20 years – Rivermouth FC

Centre Backs:

4 – Sam Hill – 21 years – Carrington United
5 – Grant Ferguson – 20 years – SC Montfort
15 – Dennis Munro – 21 years - Gaels
16 – Jaiden Wood – 18 years – Houghton Rangers

Holding Midfielders:

8 – Alisdair Martin – 19 years – Old Corinthians
17 – Donald Aitken – 18 years – Glenmount Town

Centre Midfielders:

6 – Josh Brown – 21 years – Montfort Wanderers
10 – Magnus Graham – 21 years – Abingdon Celtic
18 – Stephen Kennedy – 17 years – SC Montfort
19 – Micah Williamson – 18 years – Montfort University

Wingers:

7 – Aran Millar – 16 years – SC Montfort
11 – Lawrence Brown – 19 years – Montfort Wanderers
20 – Nicholas Taylor – 19 years – Pine AFC
21 – Garry McLean – 17 years – Houghton Young Boys

Centre Forwards:

9 – Roddy Dickson – 18 years - Gaels
22 – Archie Gibson – 19 years – Garton Bay Pirates
23 – Aidan Graham – 18 years – Montfort Wanderers

Formation – The Pythagorean v2/The Hourglass:
A variant on the Pythagorean system used by Schwartz in the Polar Islandstates, the only real difference is that the Cyan-and-Gold system involves two triangles linked together by the holding midfielders, which looks sort of like an hourglass on paper (hence, the name). The formation has been taken over to the Young Eagles by Charles Gray, for the sake of continuity.

Starting Eleven – 1/3-4-5-2/8/7-6-10-11/9

Image

Home Stadium – St Bart’s Oval – 45,500:
St Bartholomew’s, St Bartholomew’s Parish
As the name suggests, St Bart’s Oval was originally a cricket ground, but when St Bart’s Parish cricket team moved their base to picturesque Hessington Island, the stadium was expanded to host St Bart’s, though the terraces and grassy banks typical of a cricket ground still remain in the stadium. The stadium, with its unique vibe, has been designated as the official stadium of the Licentian Under 21’s side.

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:

Choose my goalscorers Y
Godmod scoring events N
RP injuries to my players Y, but nothing serious
Godmod injuries to my players N
Hand out yellow cards to my players Y
Hand out red cards to my players Y, 1 per game, if more, TG me
Godmod other events TG me

Skill Modifier- +1

All ages are correct on the first day of the tournament.
This nation has now been reformed as the Licentian Isles. Please direct anything intended for me to that nation.

Football Association of Wray (FAW): u21 Squad

Football has a long, but not very organised history of football. first introduced to the natives by Cyborg Dutch settlers. The first team was organised in the middle 20th century, but a lack of leadership and funding from local communities led to the team to ruin. The governor of Cartersburg in 1977, Kim de Jong, wrote in his diary that he saw a group of people playing football in the local park and wrote a letter to the head of the Local Council (run by locals) and challenged them to a game of football. The locals put together a team and they played a team of official staff and soldiers. The match was played on Harper Park, which is the proposed site of Harper Park, the national stadium for the football team of Wray. The team, named Cartersburg Locals, lost to the Cyborg Dutch 10-2, but it was a start.

In the late 1990s, the Local Councils in the west of the country established a league of 8 teams, and this will provide the basis for the 12-team Wray First Division. The first team assembled from the best players in the country was formed in 1999, and went on a four month tour of Cyborg Holland along with the Wray Cricket Club, the most prestigious cricket club in the country. The team played 14 games against various select sides and club sides, and they had mixed success. They won 5, drew 4 and lost 5. Striker Alastair (Ali) Henderson and keeper Kieran Ainsley, both 19 on the tour, are both widely expected to start for the national team in the upcoming Campionato Esportiva. The Under-21 side will consists of mostly University players, but a few have been picked up by D1 clubs and will probably also feature in the national side.

The Pony Republic of Equestrian States
National U-21 Hoofball Team - Di Bradini Cup 27 Roster

Team Background
After the Equestrian States' most successful World Cup in its history, the multiverse has finally begun to pay attention to the ponies of the Equestrian States and their potential. The early signs of the national team's talent first began to appear in the last Di Bradini Cup, where the "Little Ponies" charged through to the semifinals before narrowly losing to the eventual champions of the Blouman Empire. With many teams seeing considerable turnover in their rosters the Equestrian States will be blessed with experience in this Cup, as a number of stars from the third place DBC 26 team will return to the team for another shot at the title.

With the Little Ponies seeing their top players from the last DBC return to the roster, the expectations for the team are high. Adding to the pressure on the Equestrian States U21s will be the history of success that Equestrian teams have been met with in the Di Bradini Cup. No Equestrian States team has ever failed to advance out of the group stage of the Cup, and the players and coaching staff of this Little Ponies team are surely going to look to keep that streak alive in Saugeais. But not only do fans expect the Equestrian States to advance into the second round, but also into the semifinals and beyond if not winning the title itself.

There has been no other Equestrian States team to compete in the Di Bradini Cup with such high expectations and ambitions. Will the performance of the Equestrians shed some light on why the nation is gradually becoming one of the best in the world at cultivating young hoofball talent? Will the Little Ponies match or surpass the achievements of the Equestrian States' DBC 26 campaign? Can the Little Ponies take home the Di Bradini Cup title and end the international championship drought of the Equestrian States?

Sporting World

Team to represent the Federation at the Di Bradini Cup
by: Nova Hellstrom

The Di Bradini Cup is considered the premier international event for youth soccer. There have been 26 Di Bradini Cups over the years and some of the biggest names in international soccer have won the trophy, which is named for Simeone Di Bradini. Di Bradini is considered the greatest international soccer player of all time. According to NSWiki, Di Bradini "is a Starblaydi former football player and manager, now the assistant manager and occasional player for The Holy Empire national football team. His career as a striker took him across three countries at club level and to four World Cups, finishing as both his country's record goalscorer (44) and appearance maker (84)." Di Bradini later wrote a book called "Craziness Encouraged" about the history of the World Cup.

The 27th edition of the Di Bradini Cup will commence within days. Although the defending champions the Blouman Empire will not be entering this Di Bradini Cup, there are 5 former champions that will be participating. It is against that backdrop that Rule Theriault, the former manager of Petrograd United, assembled a team of 23 promising young soccer players from across the Federation to enter international competition for the first time.

Most Petrograd United fans were likely ecstatic a few months ago when team management announced that the 31-year-old manager would be fired. Theriault was hired at Petrograd United because he had developed a reputation as a bright young assistant with some original ideas. He proved to be an awful fit for the veteran-heavy club. According to numerous media reports, many players did not respect their manager's authority and a Petrograd United team that was expected to contend for a title ended up relegated to the second division of the Plymouth Republic Soccer League. For some reason, the team played better in the Federation Champions League and ended up being eliminated in the quarterfinals, but that was little consolation to the Petrograd United fans who will now be forced to watch their team play second division soccer next year.

Mr. Theriault claims that he was a victim of circumstance. "Those players never gave me a chance," the boyish-looking manager says, "They were set in their ways and they weren't happy that I wanted to change the way they played soccer. If they had bought into my system, we would have won multiple trophies last year. Still, I can't do anything about it. I entered the Di Bradini Cup and found some kids that are willing to take direction because I want to show all the journalists and talk radio callers in Plymouth Republic that they were wrong about me."

He will face a tall order. The disgraced former professional manager struggled to convince young soccer players to join his team. Even when he was able to sell players on travelling to Saugeais, he still struggled to convince decision makers like Aldo Bellucci, the principal at Petrograd Christian School. "I don't see the point in sending student-athletes to a foreign land to compete in sports," says the elderly principal, "Even if there was a point to allowing students from my school to take off school to compete in some foreign soccer tournament, I don't want to entrust the development of young athletes to an incompetent manager like Rule Theriault. I've heard about how he just completely lost control of Petrograd United and I think everybody in Petrograd can see the consequences of that."

After over a hundred players turned down the offer to compete on Mr. Theriault's U-21 National Team and hundreds more could not get their release from their school or club, Mr. Theriault was somehow able to assemble a team of 23 young soccer players, most of them from distant Republics where Mr. Theriault's reputation is not as widely known. He did not have as difficult a time convincing Massimiliano Abdullahi, also formerly of Petrograd United, to join the U-21 National Team. The 25-year-old assistant declined to speak to Sporting World, claiming that he was busy preparing for Oralana, Felix and Shadowbourne.

Today, Mr. Theriault has revealed his team exclusively to Sporting World. Sporting World is apparently one of the few publications in the Federation that are interested in covering his quixotic foray into international soccer. The team will be captained by Kyle Bolton. Bolton is a 19-year-old who was removed from the University of Petrograd team because of poor grades. He is the most well-known player on the team. Apparently, Mr. Theriault could not convince the most highly regarded prospects in the Federation to play for him, but he didn't seem to care. "I'll coach whoever I can get. There's plenty of talent in this Federation. Nobody knows just how large our population is, but since we have thousands of Republics expanding over 4 continents, our population is probably in the billions or pretty close to it. In a nation this large, there have to be many talented athletes that fall through the cracks." One can only hope that the youthful manager is correct, but if he managed as good as he looks, he'd still be managing Petrograd United.

The opening match of the Di Bradini Cup for the Free Republics will be against Shadowbourne, which is the most internationally experienced nation in Group G. They will face Oralana in the second match and will finish with a match against Felix. Oralana and Felix are also making their debuts in international sports competition, although Oralana will apparently also be competing in the World Cup of something called Swamp Soccer simultaneously with the Di Bradini Cup. If Rule Theriault can redeem himself, maybe the Republicans will be able to advance to the Second Round, but I am from Petrograd and I know who Rule Theriault is. I don't believe they will win a game. If they do, I will personally apologize to Mr. Theriault and hopefully he will be able to come up with a way I can make things up to him. But, I don't see that happening.

Nova Hellstrom is an young sports journalist, just out of journalism school. She got her start covering high school soccer for the Petrograd Times. At one time, she played girls soccer for Petrograd Christian School. She was recently discovered by Sporting World. Her first assignment will be covering the Di Bradini Cup.

OOC: I hope it was fine to quote part of a paragraph from NS Wiki. This is a different style of preview than I'm used to writing as my main nation. I was trying for something similar to a sports magazine article.

Ko-orenite Roster for Di Bradini Cup 27
Ko-orenan Xetorenan U-21 Putbaltim - Di Bradini-au Kupau 27

Because of a particularly gifted generation, 44 players have been called for the DBC. 1-11 will play the first game (v. Licentiapacisterra), 12-22 will play the second game (v. Farfadillis), and 23-33 will play against the German-Spanish Empire on match day three. 34-44 is the youngest group of the four, and they are the substitutions for any other group. This generation has a lot to correct: Ko-oren has a terrible record at the DBC. Last tournament, the team ended dead last in Group G against San Potato, Farfadillis and Legalese with one draw and two losses. In DBC 25, Ko-oren was in Group G too, and finished third with two draws and one loss against Sicoutimont, Polar Islandstates and Mytannion. In DBC, Ko-oren was in a group with Vilita & Turori, Dorian & Sonya and Licentiapacisterra, and finished third with one win and two losses. There was no Greenblue team at DBC 23, but there was one at DBC 22 which had five teams per group. Then, in a group with Thatius, High Heels, Swartaz and Bears Armed, Ko-oren came two points short of the second round: two wins, a draw and a loss were just not enough to advance. All in all, the Ko-orenite record is getting worse and worse - and this generation should be able to do something about that. Even one win would be sufficient to overturn recent history, but why not try to go all the way?

The first two games are in Montbenoit, which will be the home base for the Ko-orenite team during match days one and two. The team will then move to Riverside if they have a chance to reach the second round. Riverside might not be a host city, but its central location means it allows the Greenblues to easily reach other host cities. If the team is about to be eliminated from the tournament, the entire team will move to Ville-DuPont for the last game, before the long trip back home.

U-21 World Cup: The Journey Begins

By: Steven Smith

"And so it begins..." That quote was said 10 times in Felixian television, as this cup, the U-21 World Cup, is a historical milestone for Felix as the Felixian Football is now. We have a very, very talented squad this cup as we have players like Luca Esser, Sebastian Krister, Jon Vilmar, Noé Fierro, and Kunibert Mathias. The talented squad is lead by the legendary coach, Aureliano Sanna, that once managed Altomare, Napoli, and Hampshire United. We are in Group G and we face Shadowbourne, Free Republics, Oralana. Our first match is against Oralana and we face them in Circle Stadium in Longview, Saugeais, capacity, 39,500. We play tomorrow at 7:00 PM Felixan Local Time. We face Shadowbourne on Matchday 2 and Free Republics on Matchday 3.

I also recently interviewed, Luca Esser, striker from Sporting Volker currently in first place in the Felixan Champions League. I asked him question ranging from his football carrier to the home life where he is currently in 11th Grade and living in Volker.

Smith: "Hello, Luca."
Esser: "Hello Mr. Smith
Smith: "So, it's the U-21 World Cup, are you excited?"
Esser: "Well, yeah." Laughs. "It's a incredible, rare and amazing opportunity to this. It's rare to be picked as a U-21 player and it's even rarer, to play."
Smith: "Indeed, Indeed. So your team, the Phoenixes, face Oralana tomorrow. What do you think about them and their team?"
Esser: "Hmm, I think Oralana, like every team in this edition of the U-21 World Cup, has strengths and weaknesses. It's our job to exploit the weaknesses and try to limit their areas of strength. What that means it's that we need to play our best and show that we can win."
Smith: "Interesting, third question, how's the home life?"
Esser: "It's great! My mom, is super supportive of what I do. I mean, ever since my father was killed in a freak accident, my mom has helped me cope through it. May it be, through school work, emotional stuff, etc. And for that, I thank her for it."
Smith: I nod, "That's great that you have a mother like that. Next question, how's school?"
Esser: "School? School, is easy. I get good grades and I sometimes act in school plays."
Smith: "So you're an actor?"
Esser: He laughs, "Oh I wish, but I do plays for fun and relaxation."
Smith: "I see, one last question, do you think your team is going to win the U-21 WC?"
Esser: "Hrm... I can't say if we can or cannot, there are 31 other teams here, all of them just as talented as us, it's up to ourselves if we want it. If we work hard and play hard, we have chance."
Smith: I smile, "Well said, it's been a nice talk with you, Luca."
Esser: "You too, Mr. Smith."

And now we move on to other parts of the preview edition of the U-21 World Cup. Here is the official roster of the U-21 Felix National Team.

Manager-
Aureliano Sanna {Age: 50}

* = Automatic placing
** = Fought position

Formation: 3-4-3

Style: +4.5

Here are some players to watch in our national team.

In the defensive side, Arthur Schultheis of Sieberg is a new talent that replaced Kunibert Rosenfeld, he moved to New Sideburn. Schultheis, was born in Bavaria, Felix and was one of 3 kids of the Schultheis family. He is a skilled goalie that has quick reactions and great length, so he can deflect and catch shots from the opposite end of the goal. Another player is 20 year old, Jon Vilmar of Dusseldorf F.C. He was born in the city of Cadillac in the French speaking part of Felix. He is a strong and surprisingly fast player, he can slide tackle very well and is known for his ability to do a near perfect standing tackle, can it be used in the international stage? And one more player on the defensive side is Sepp Beringer, of Sieberg. He was born in Sieberg, only child of Jane Hall and Marcus Beringer. He is more known for his skills in passing and heading and is threat when it comes to corner shots or free kicks.

Now, here are some players on the midfield that we just have to watch.

Sebastian Krister of Santa Maria City, born in Dusseldorf, Felix he related to the famous politician, Fredrick Krister member of the Liberal Party. He leads the Felix Champions League with 10 assists. He is obviously famous for his passes and his remarkable accuracy when it comes to long passes and forward passes. He is THE midfield general every team needs. The second in command, would be Kunibert Mathias of Dusseldorf F.C. Kunibert was born out of a poor family in Livonia. Felix. Since then he has used his skills to get his family out of poverty and into a stable living state. While he can pass the ball fairly well, he is more defensive in nature. But don't let that fool you, he is one of the best men to have in a counter attack and is known for his amazing speed.

And finally, lets look at the forwards.

Noé Fierro of Sieberg is a talented player from Santander, Felix. His father played football and now he seems to follow his dad's footsteps by playing the same position as he played. While he can shoot well from a close range, oddly enough he seems to shoot best from far away, as his first goal in the Felix Champions League was from 29 meters. And he is the man that I interviewed earlier, Luca Esser. He is from Gallo, a small town near Napoli in the Italian speaking area of Felix. He is agile, quick and can run with the ball very well. But he does have a few faults but that can be fixed with age. He is accurate from 25 meters but is more a close range kind of guy and is a pretty good passer.

And that's all from Felix! Good luck to all the teams in this cup, may they all bring pride to their nations and may our own boys bring pride and joy to Felix. Ciao.

Nobody missed it, but still it returns: Di Bradini Cup Spacebook Chatter! (all bad grammar should be considered intentional)

Kelsey Nicholson>: Welcome to Saugeais, a great sporting nation!
Kiersten Young>: You mean, overrated sporting nation.
Nicole Chambers>: They host a lot of things, but they have never really won anything.
Kelsey Nicholson>: I’m sure they won one of those World Baseball Classics we missed. Someone, check the wikis!
Kiersten Young>: Nope!
Samantha Mahoney>: The next Audioslavia?
Kiersten Young>: That would entail that they would eventually win things.
Nicole Chambers>: Yeah, all they really do is host things. They have a lot of great things they have hosted like a World Cup.
Kelsey Nicholson>: They won NSCAA 4.
Samantha Mahoney>: That’s not a national championship, that’s a college championship.
Kelsey Nicholson>: Tell that to Concord Heights.
Samantha Mahoney>: My point exactly, we still can’t say we have swept all major sports because we have not won the International Basketball Championships. Even though we have won two college basketball championships.
Kelsey Nicholson>: We can say that all we want.
Samantha Mahoney>: It’s not the same thing.
Kiersten Young>: You would have thought they would have won a World Baseball Classic by now. They seemed so promising when we beat them in #19. I was there when I was four, you know.
Kelsey Nicholson>: Really? You went to that series?
Kiersten Young>: Yeah. But I don’t really remember much about it. Because I was, you know, four.
Nicole Chambers>: That would have been pretty cool to go see. Did you meet anyone?
Kiersten Young>: No, but they did buy me some cool clothes, my parents were really drunk most of them when they were there.
Samantha Mahoney>: That team was regarded the best ever by Qazox media.
Kelsey Nicholson>: It would be fantastic if Cassadaigua could host that again, I hear they are bidding for it against a pony nation.
Nicole Chambers>: I like ponies.
Kelsey Nicholson>: So what’s the first thing you ladies went to do while we are here and before we play our first game. Other then practice.
Kiersten Young>: We practiced enough. Erica is a real grinder.
Samantha Mahoney>: Yeah coach won’t be easy on us, I think that’s what CASE wants though, more of dictatorial approach here.

Kelsey Nicholson>: Coach Lambert is a legend.
Kiersten Young>: Not saying she’s not, but come on relax on the full contact drills in practice all the time! Someone’s gonna get hurt!
Nicole Chambers>: I think so too, Kiersten. But she’ll just say if you can’t deal with it in practice you can’t deal with it in a game.
Kelsey Nicholson>: If you can’t deal with it in practice you can’t deal with it in a game.
Kelsey Nicholson>: Damn hijacked by Nicole!
Samantha Mahoney>: She just wants to win. I can’t blame her. She’s probably next in line for coaching the senior team.
Kiersten Young>: If you get hurt dealing with it in practice, you won’t be able to deal with it in a game.
Kelsey Nicholson>: I’m gonna signoff. Remember, 7am tomorrow for breakfast, then on the bus for practice at 8.
Samantha Mahoney>: They better have cinnamon rolls.
Nicole Chambers>: See ya then, good night.
Kiersten Young>: Oh boy. 8am practice!

THE EMPIRE TIMES

No Di Bradini Cup For Bloumany

Questions are being asked by players and fans alike today as to why the Eaglets won't be attending the 27th Di Bradini Cup to defend their title. Despite a squad announcement by coach Lewis Helstrom and the players in training none will be playing in Saugeais as it is revealed the Football Federation of Bloumany failed to lodge their Application of Intent to Compete with the Di Bradini Cup organizing committee in time lodging their application a week after deadline. The actions of the FFB have brought anger and frustration from fans, players and a member associations demanding answers as to what went wrong. Helstrom spoke to the media deeply upset expressing that the work that his team have done in the lead up to this has been in vain "We were confident of getting back to back titles, we had been working hard for this and it upsetting to think that we won't be given that chance because of an administrative error". Milton Tuneson who was set to participate in his second DBC and had been appointed captain also expressed his disappointment with the actions of the FFB publicly calling for an entire change on the FFB board a sentiment a number of commentators have also expressed. Many fans who had already booked flights and accommodation to Saugeais to see their team are also left out in the cold one fan spoke to The Empire Times saying "The FFB should refund the money we have paid to go and watch our boys it's a disgrace, they should all be locked up and thrown away the key", another was more optimistic "Well it is disappointing to say the least I went last time and to watch them win the title is a memory I will never forget but we are still going try to make a couple of games and make a bit of a holiday out of it will still be a good trip".

So far the FFB have closed ranks regarding the incident issuing a brief statement "It is with regret that we wish to inform that the Blouman Empire will not be entering the 27th Di Bradini Cup due to an entry error. An investigation into this matter is continuing". Attempts to contact the FFB including the office of FFB Chairman Sir Luke Polking have been met with no reply. The Empire Times understands that the FFB attempted to contact the DBC committee to be included as a later entry but their request was declined. Despite the FFB refusing to speak to anyone over the matter it has not stopped the outrage and questions from almost everyone involved with football within the Empire.

Lonely Multiverse: A comprehensive guide to Wray

Image

Intro

This guide will cover every square inch of the Esportivan nation of Wray. From the historic cobbled streets of Nelson's Bay to the exciting woodlands of the far east of the country. The guide will cover the major cities and towns, tourist locations of any description and the recent and ancient history of the nation. With each page, there will be a top five list of various tourist things, from nightclubs to vineyards, hotels to beaches. There will occasionally be holiday guides, which describe various length trips around Wray to get the full national experience.

Wray, having recently declared full independence just a few months ago from Cyborg Holland, has a rich colonial and native history. The cities of Cartersburg (formerly Aalenburg) and Nelson's Bay (Nielsen's Baai) are historic centres of administration and trade, whilst the new cities of Milfield and Albion have sprung up on a wave of economic progress.

The record of civilisation in Wray date back to around 25,000, when archeologists in 1995 discovered cave settlements in the lowlands in the east of the country at Partsborough Caves. The first Cyborg Dutch colonists arrived in the mid-18th century, and soon exerted control of the entire country. George Carter, a notable Wray politician in the early 20th century secured the first autonomy for Wray when he and other politicians secured a deal with the Governor of Wray to give local councils complete control of Aalenburg (Cartersburg) and the surrounding areas. Slowly the local population gained more control of the country until only the Nelson's Bay was under their administration. The final handover took place on the 23rd April 2013, which has become National Independence Day.

The country has a very temperate climate, with cold winters and warm summers. The majority of the east of the country is covered by deciduous forests, until reaching the lowlands of Terrabondante Central Mountains. The rivers Aalen and Silver flow from the TCM and come out either side of Nelson's Bay and into the Hollander Sea. The average summer temperature (between May-August) is 21 degrees, and the average winter temperature (October-February) is 6 degrees.

The cuisine of Wray is split into two sections. In the west and by the sea there is a distinct fish element to the cuisine, as well as wheats and other cereals. A signature meal for those on the west coast is Tael, which is a cold fish and vegetable pie. In the east of the country, game foods are the staple as well as Wray Beef, along with potatoes and other vegetables. Venison & Partridge are particularly good and should be tried no matter what. In the coastal plains there a number of prestigious Vineyards: Rotherham and De Beer to name the two most famous.

Dutch is still the most widely spoken language, though most establishments understand a variety of Esportivan languages.

The George Carter International Airport is the main route in and out of the country from the rest of Esportiva. From airports in Cyborg Holland and surrounding countries you can reach the regional airports of Albion Airport and Nelson's Bay Airport. Nelson's Bay is also the main seaport of the country, with the major trading port of Torran just a few miles up the coast. There is a system of inter-city motorways which connect all the main population centres. Visitors can rent cars at any major airport terminal.

"Hello, good afternoon, and welcome to this special FPIBC bulletin on the U-21 national football team. Yes, after an enforced absence from the 26th Di Bradini Cup thanks to Gregorz van der Riise's rather disastrous intervention as interim manager of the Terns, the Chicks are back for more u-21 action with the team announced this morning. These are happy hunting grounds for van der Riise, having lifted the trophy in the past, but the focus in recent years has been more on player development. With the main team now managed by former Axel Heiburg boss Rasmussen, that focus is only going to increase, with Rasmussen himself taking a very keen interest in events on the pitch this tournament. The Haapa-Mechelin youth academy is well represented once again, as you might expect, with the ever-more celebrated Northbrook Academy also represented by a clutch of players, as well as the Ava Gillespie Academy in Torshavn, funded as it is by Babbagian money in honour of the late Torshavn and Babbage Islands captain. Such youth set-ups as at Surtsey and Longyearbyen are also staking a claim to be recognised as one of the best academies in the country, such is their output at the moment. Gregorz will be assisted this time around by the now full time youth coach and former Tern Ole van Jendrisen. Such assistance will be vital, as the length of time between u-21 tournaments means this side is unrecognisable from the last time van der Riise led a side out at the DBC."

GK
#1 - GK - Patrick Superanaskaia - Age 20 - FC1. Surtsey Island Gulls
#12 - GK - Casper Rzatkowski - Age 19 - FC Axel Heiburg
#13 - GK - Noah Wilhelmsen - Age 19 - RSK Longyearbyen Town
"As if producing Iulian Kirilaunen wasn't enough, the academy at Surtsey has also produced Patrick Superanaskaia, a lanky stretch of a man with a bright future if he can ever get a look in at Surtsey behind Kirilaunen. Casper Rzatkowski produced a series of fine performances whilst on loan at Seratakki Villagers last season, and the young Wilhelmsen also showed signs of his development with a handful of appearances for the Citizens in the Latitude Cup last season."

DEF
#2 - DR - Mika Haagenstadt - Age 21 - East Franz Athletic
#3 - DC - Jon Horvat - Age 21 - FC1. Surtsey Island Gulls
#4 - DC - Aapo Nordenberg - Age 21 - FC Torshavn - CAPTAIN
#5 - DL - Joachim Karlsen - Age 20 - FC Solovetsky Monastery
#18 - DR - Anders Weiz - Age 19 - SK Franz Josef City
#19 - DL - Vauxhall Jansen - Age 17 - FC1. Bjarnarey Athletic
#22 - DC - Martin Feldbaek - Age 19 - AC Aleutia Volcanoes
#23 - DC - Yann-Erik Nilsson - Age 17 - SK Franz Josef City
"Hugely impressive and also simply huge, Aapo Nordenberg will be captaining the team this tournament, with over twenty appearances in Divisjon One and a couple of goals to his name, he looks to be a wise choice. Horvat and Haagenstadt also come in with a hatful of first team perfomances for their clubs, though little is known about Joachim Karlsen. On the bench, Weiz and Feldbaek both appear to have promising futures ahead of them, whilst half-Acquan Yann-Erik Nilsson has a point to prove if he wishes to get called up for his father's homeland in the future. Half-Wightling youngster Vauxhall Jansen has a ridiculous enthusiasm to match his ridiculous name, and he hasn't yet decided which wing to operate on."

MID
#6 - DMC - Svenbjorn Einarsson - Age 21 - Red Star Severny
#7 - AMR - Oyvind Sodermalm - Age 19 - Northbrook Diamonds FK
#8 - MC - Alexander Aagard - Age 20 - RSK Longyearbyen Town
#11 - AML - Roman Nystrom - Age 21 - FC Cape St Paul
#14 - AMC - Alexis Zeljeznicar - Age 21 - South Factory (Astograth)
#15 - DMC - Anders Holzhauser - Age 17 - RSK Longyearbyen Town
#16 - AMC - Gustaf Kuetari - Age 17 - FC Axel Heiburg
#17 - MR - Klaus Just - Age 20 - FC1. Surtsey Island Gulls
#21 - ML - Niels Jaatinen - Age 17 - FC Torshavn
"Svenbjorn Einarsson continues a tradition of Severny midfield talent in the youth teams, and he will be partnered in the centre of the park by Longyearbyen's young box-to-box midfielder Alexander Aagard. Sodermalm and Nystrom will both be adding pace to the wings, whilst foreign based forward Alexis Zeljeznicar has matured into something more of a support striker role in the past couple of seasons, and is now playing in, dare we say it, more of a 'van Sorensen' position. On the bench, Holzhauser refused a contract frrom SK Franz Josef City to stay with his childhood club of Longyearbyen, so much is hoped for from him. Likewise Kuetari and Jaatinen, both of whom are the personal picks of van Jendrisen."

ATT
#9 - ST - Torsten Wolff - Age 20 - FC Axel Heiburg
#10 - ST - Eyvindur Ohm - Age 20 - Northbrook Diamonds FK
#20 - ST - Vasek Frederiksen - Age 20 - FC Torshavn
"Up front, and three strikers of the same age are competing for that starting line-up spot, Wolff probably just about shading it at the moment. Ohm and Frederiksen both have similar skill sets, so we are unlikely to see both of them on the pitch at the same time except for moments of desperation."

Probable Starting formation: 4-2-3-1
-------------------------- Superanaskaia ------------------------
--- Haagenstadt ---- Horvat - Nordenberg ---- Karlsen -----
------------------- Einarsson ------ Aagard --------------------
-- Sodermalm ---------- Zeljeznicar ------------- Nystrom ---
------------------------------ Wolff ------------------------------

DE PLACA
Who knew Japan would end up making a Third Division after all?

DI BRADINI CUP 27
Les Stars de Languoil? Is it healthy to stack D-League players from different teams?

There were three ways to select the squad for the U21 World Cup. First way was the Sunrisian Development League, a league where the teams from the Sunrisian football pyramid send their younger or unfit players to develop and possibly, return to the squad. Here went the first irony. The last champions of the SDL were En Avant Nice-Royes, an indy team that featured only players with a more advanced age, which nulified them to have players picked to the tournament. Thankfully, though, several teams would end up sending players, were them the runners-up of the SDL, such as Project +90 or even the last-placer of that same tournament, McCloud Avengers, who would send the apprentice of a Casanova named Jim Rosso. Why they accepted him is still to be known, but there isn't much to be worried, the guy is in the RESERVES, after all.

There were also some questionable choices in the picks from NSICA, the Northern Sunrise Islands College Association. Evan Michellis from Davestone University, one of the pinnacles of the beautiful game in NSI was acceptable. But why NSICA D-II Nekonian at Lorelei and San Jose Tech had players added to the national team is just unexplainable. Sure, Martin Augusto Conbi resembles a lot his older brother before he ended up playing for Ajax Charleston (which, by far, can't be a good thing in the very least) and Luanne Mittens seems decent but... Why? NSICA is huge, there are better guys.

Then there are the guys that were picked for their "sort-of" experience. For start, the guys at Northern Stars were at the SDL until the Mardi Lopunnies and both teams of Matthew City decided to make a joint-purposal and acquire a team in Felix, so they have some experience. Then there is Paulo Roma, who plays at Madureira, in a stadium very well known for the fact that sometimes in the year, bullets rain close to it and for last, you have Minnie Sioux, who wasn't allowed to play in NSI due to the fact that our Football Confederation wasn't a fan of any type of variety aside from humans. Edward Keith-Tyne plays at Londrich, but I don't know if that counts as experience or just watching other teams run through your defence every single time.

Then again, the coach is Einstein II, so I suppose that stuff can't go that bad. He is from Balm after all, so he's at least very smart. Let's just hope that Quebec, Wray and Mangolana don't find about him.
