I'm pretty sure it can be done both ways.

He beat up the Houses of Parliament, several air fields and flew under Tower Bridge. Essentially, he buzzed some places he really shouldn't have buzzed.

I believe one of the airfields he buzzed was Dunsfold. That makes complete sense, the place is a magnet for bad decisions involving expensive vehicles.

Whether or not he shouted "POWERRRRR!" while flying over Dunsfold is however lost to history...

kind of ironic you say that, speaking that every video of a crash landing on a carrier usually involves the air traffic control shouting power right before he hits.

no that can't be enough of a reason, there wasn't a big enough afterburner plume on it for it to be him running from his wife.

Maybe it was an ex-wife asking for child support? Or maybe he forgot to light Grozny for the night?

no, the ex-wife would lead to an even bigger afterburner plume. He also wasn't moving fast eenough to be running from his ex-wife.

...A Whole Different Story Part 1
Gavin's past, and why he would rather stay in Britain than go back home...

May 13th, Quebec City, 1937....

Gavin was a troubled man. He had just enough money to scrape by with his girlfriend: Alanna. He works in a factory, making steel in a plant. He walks there and back every day. He and his family were affected heavily by the Great Depression.

But Gavin was happy on the outside, spending time with his woman, caring about his family. But inside, he knew something was up with Alanna. She was hiding something and Gavin knew it. He knew he would have to confront her about it too...

And today is that day...

Gavin came home from work, putting his coat on a rack before looking around him. He saw the same thing as he did everyday. He walked inside the kitchen to see Alanna, cooking themselves a pasta dinner.

"Hey Anna, how was your day?"
"Good, boring recently."
"And why is that?"
"A few neighbours moved out recently."
"The Robinsons?"
"Yes. Dinner will be ready in around ten minutes. The paper is in your study."

Gavin noticed something, Alanna was gaining a bit of weight, but he didn't say anything. He didn't notice it a few weeks ago though. He also didn't know what was going on, Alanna ate sparingly. He walked upstairs to his study, opened the papers and started reading the news.

After around 15 minutes Alanna knocked on the door to the study.
"Come in."
She walked in.
"Dinner is ready."
Gavin stood up and started walking.
"Well then, let's go."
He smiled and started walking downstairs with Alanna.

Dinner pasted relatively fast. It was a matter of around 15 minutes before Gavin couldn't eat anymore. Alanna had barely touched her food. Gavin decided it was time to take charge and find out what was going on.

"I'm just going to say this straight to you. Are you cheating on me?" Gavin sat up and gave a serious look.
"Of course not. I would never!" She replied.
"Well then what is wrong?"
"Nothing, I've just been busy...."
"DON'T LIE TO ME!"
Gavin stood up as he looked as angry as an erupting volcano, or a bull chasing a red suit.
"I KNOW YOU'VE BEEN DOING SOMETHING BEHIND MY BACK!"
Alanna was surprisingly calm, as if she did have something to hid.
"I have not."
"STOP LYING TO ME!"

Several Hours Later....

Gavin was fed up with this. He was going nowhere in his "interrogation..."
"...DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT YOU!"
"I am fully aware abo-"
"NO! YOU ARE NOT!"
"Then tell me."
"PEOPLE THINK YOU ARE A WHORE! A BITCH! A FU-"
"I'm pregnant."

Gavin stopped. His eyes opened wide and he smiled.

"Oh no! I'm sorry! I'm sorry I yelled at you! I'm sorry for..."

And that went on for a few hours....

End of Part 1.
Please call me 'Canuck.'
Also, here's my Factbook WIP Factbook.
