It was founded in 1948 by Leonardo Volturi and a small team of engineers in order to build sports cars and grand touring models to compete with the established marques at that time. Its first sports car was released in 1950 and the first Grand Touring model in 1952.
It expanded considerably during its first two decades in business and became large enough to acquire failing sports car manufacturer Alpina in 1975 and operated that as a separate subsidiary until it finally went bust in 1995. Volturi would not acquire another subsidiary until 2008 when it bought the upstart electric vehicle manufacturer Bio.

KMF Automobile soft launches in Yohannes

As part of their worldwide sales initiative, KMF Automobile established a Yohannesian subsidiary, KMF Automobil Yohannischland GmbH, earlier this month. Today, the marque had it's soft launch with select dealerships in Ardenfontein and Artix selling the first Yohannesian market KMFs courtesy of Alitalia Airlines express delivery.

"The Yohannesian market represents a huge growth potential for us", said KMF Automobile Ltd's sales director Ärtem Be̊rgman-Jöhänssünr, who was on hand along with KMF Automobil Yohannischland GmbH President and CEO Söfja Abramssunr and Sondsteadish ambassador to Yohannes Karl Wänderz in Ardenfontein as the first KMF sold in Yohannes, an e8 300 xMotion™ in Midnight Sun Gold Metallic with an Anthracite Black leather interior, was unloaded after it's flight from Cheruskerland and delivered to Dr. Peter Bischoffs.

"It is a great honour for me to able to personally launch a new marque in Yohannes", said Wolfgang Lutz, CEO and owner of the Hermann Lutz Group, for which the flagship KMF dealership in Ardenfontein, Lutz KMF Ardenfontein Quayside is their tenth dealership.

Potential to be KMF's largest market

From KMF's market research, the Yohannesian new car market exceeds 150 million new vehicles sold every year and that a market share as small as a tenth of a percent would still mean sales that within a few short years twice as many KMFs would be sold in Yohannes every year as in Sondstead, presently the largest market for the company's products.

"We believe it is essential to our global strategy to establish a distribution network in Yohannes", said Ärtem Be̊rgman-Jöhänssünr earlier this month. Since then, the company has also investigated sites in Yohannes to open a new assembly plant, with KMF looking to add half a million units of production capacity per annum in the next year to accomodate burgeoning demand.

We currently have one plant in Huddersthorpe, New Vancouver, which builds the Acura EL (2001-2005 design), and it has additional space; it also builds an export version of the Acura EL,
branded as the Honda Civic CA (CA denoting Canada). The Honda Civic CA offers a hatchback and station wagon variant that the EL does not (at least not in Canada Hollinswood. ) This is exported to Astholm and other nations.
Canada Hollinswood currently trades with Astholm and has a long-standing cultural relationship with the nation.
Our nation also has a long history of automobile manufacture, and is widely renowned internationally for it.



Acura EL (2001-2005)


This joint venture is slightly different to other proposals that rivals may have (that we are aware of) in that, not only are we offering space in our automotive plant, but also seeking a partner for our new joint venture; to develop a small family sedan and wagon, powered by engines ranging from 1.6 to 2.0 petrol (and maybe a diesel for export, but not for the Acura versions, since at the moment it is not a priority for the brand, only for our parent firm Honda). It would use a brand-new platform, dubbed ACQB45 (Acura, QB being a random combination). The platform would be shared between the manufacturers, and it would be a joint development. Acura's smallest engine available is 1.6 litres.
This new vehicle is targeted at a very specific demographic - mid-20s - early 30s, and it is aimed at those who find a Ford Focus or Opel Astra too small, but a Ford Mondeo/Fusion or BMW 3-Series too large. In short, it's larger than an a Focus or Astra, but smaller than a Mondeo/Passat or 3-Series.
Engines can be shared between the vehicles, and/or jointly developed; individual engines per-vehicle is another option.

If you were to engage in the joint venture, your automobile would not be badge-engineered; it would have its own individual styling cues. However, you retain the option to rebrand our vehicle as yours if you wish to do so, with permission from us. This is intended to, if successful, be a collective mixture of Canadian Hollinswodian and Sondstead designers, engineers and managers; a collective effort, laconically.

We have a small Sondstead diaspora here, being 88,486 in the current census, if that is of any interest to you.

The assembly plant already employs a medium-sized number of people, and has good transport links; there is no railway, and it is entirely inland, 40 km from the nearest seaport.

As regards currency, the Canadian Hollinswodian _{(of Hollinswood)}Dollar (CAD) is ASTP/CAD = 0.64468 for buying/selling currency and $1.00 = £0.64. Equally, for Astholm it's CAD/GBP = 1.55115 for buying/selling currency, with £1.00 = $1.55. These are quoted at current exchange rate.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. This joint venture was intended to benefit both parties as it will give KMF new export markets; also, it will help fulfill a new niche that you currently do not cover.

We notice you have the e3 and e3 Sport, but our planned vehicle (for whoever is involved in this joint venture) covers a niche that you do not currently trade in; midsize hard-top sedans and stationwagons. We have some expertise in developing these; our first one was launched in the 1980s.
The mid-size hardtop sedan (and hardtop stationwagon) would be longer wheelbase than the e3, but shorter than the e3 Sport, and be aimed at an older audience than either of them, since that is the target demographic. It would be similar to this sort of design:

Currently, hardtop sedans are in fashion, and our reasons for planning this joint venture are of economic benefit too; although both nations' economies are strong, sharing resources is a useful thing to do.

I am somewhat puzzled by your assertion that the vehicle you propose, which has a target demographic of young adults, targets an older demographic than the e3, which is targeted at buyers who are at the younger end of middle age and the older end of young adulthood, with our customer surveys revealing that the average age of an e3 owner is around 38. Furthermore, we do not believe there is a significant market for pillarless hardtops specifically which would reject the e3 due to this. Indeed it is likely that most buyers would be hard pressed to tell the difference at a glance.

I am also puzzled by your comment that the proposed vehicle would slot between the e3 and "e3 Sport" in size. The latter model I can only assume you are referring to, the e3 Sport by Länik, retains the same basic dimensions as the base model e3 and is simply a specially built high-performance variant of the e3 and aimed specifically at competitors such as the BMW 335i, Forza E6, Monteluci Duca 3.2 V6 Biturbo, and VLT L5 3.2 TCi-GT, albeit with a somewhat more exclusive air.

One question; would the eX3 be available in a Police Package version at some point in the future at all, as some of our local police forces have expressed an interest in this vehicle.

All dealerships here are stand-alone, as per your explicit request.

Also, of interest, is that the KMF e3 has inspired a "clone" to be created in our nation [the same way clone scripts of software exist] - it looks very similar, but there are some features that distinguish it - and it offers a hatchback version as well. It was launched about 2 weeks ago, and I've only seen a few examples on our streets.
