Head Coach: Mikala Abellán
Mikala Abellán returns as Eel-Cat Things head coach despite his return to domestic management with Strike FC. Abellan got the job after it was declined by Vilitan head coach Calaesa Mitaroka and Turorian head coach Mikael Gibbons opted to spend the time focusing on 'Something Bigger'. It is rumored that Abellan is now being groomed to be a future coach of the Vilitan National Team, following in the footsteps of former Strike FC head coach Mitaroka who leads the Jungle Cats currently.

The protege of Lorenzo Abellán, Mikala had a lot of potential after leading Makosile to the Stellar Division title for the first and only time in club history then following that up with a Tropical Trophy title. However, after plummeting to 10th in the table the following season, Abellán left Makosile and spent a (trophyless) season on the staff at Jungle Strike FC which, naturally, resulted in wholesale changes that left Abellán without a job once again. With no coach for the Eel-Cat things regional team, the Vilitan & Turorian football associations agreed that perhaps it was an opportunity to take advantage of an untapped managerial talent to implement a position as permanent regional manager, starting with Mikala Abellán. After taking the helm during AOCAF 38, a decent performance and a good working relationship with the players resulted in a return to the post at the Lonngeylin Coliseum and there would be no runner-up finish this time as Abellán led Strike FC to the Stellar Division title, albeit narrowly, over the Turoki Tide.

The coaches will select the squad from the National Player pool. Players are listed below, grouped by position and sorted by projection 'Depth Chart' position where the top player listed is most likely to be named the first player selected for that position, and so on. Depth chart positions are determined by performance in pre-cup training sessions, as well as performance and average ratings in the Vilitan League competition and previous appearances for the National Team.

GOALKEEPERS:

[ 95 ] Jawz Tiiaupila [ - Mliona-Lpaka (Turori) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 27 CAPS: 2 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 4.00 Average Rating ]
Tiiaupila has made his first appearance for the Vilitan National Team in a shock defeat against Brendino the 3rd during World Cup 57 Qualifications. The 1-3 defeat was pointed at by many critics as the sole reason the Jungle Cats were unable to make a return to the World Cup Finals, dropping a full three points against the groups bottom side and inevitably finishing just one point out of the playoff zone. Tiiaupila moved from Inland Rovers on a loan to newly promoted Hojosan in The Yorozura after WC57 quals as part of an investment deal with the clubs kit sponsors, VIlitan based Vilaye energy drink. When the Yorozura league collapsed, Tiiaupila returned to the Inland joining Inland Peaks FC where he would spend a season before joining Mliona-Lpaka Turori after their promotion to the Stellar Division. Tiiaupila became a solid performer at Mliona-Lpaka as their only recognized international player during a Season 33 campaign that saw them rise to 4th in the V-League table, earning a place in the UICA Champions League for the first time in club history.

[ 82 ] Mumau Atla-Siioai [ - Turoki United (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 5 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
A Dual Vilita & Turori National, Atla-Siioai was invited to the Vilitan World Cup 57 Training camp - but so were 6 other goalkeepers. Atla-Siioai transferred from the Kionao Locals to Vilitan side Turoki United for the V-League 27 season. While his play for Turoki was solid, the impact of Atla-Siioai's presence was most evident back in Turori as the Locals were relegated from the V-League with a club record 20 defeats. While showing the importance of having Atla-Siioai in the squad, the fact that the Goalkeeper left the Locals high and dry has not left a good impression on their Turorian fanbase. Atla-Siioai has, however, made a name for himself in Turoki, repeatedly being named Supporters Player of the Season and leading the team into UICA Competition places.

[ 91 ] Aranora Jaded [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 24 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.78 Average Rating ]
Jaded was given a great confidence boost by the decision of the coaching staff to sell Jaqe Planst to Cednia Beach AFC. The two young keepers were fighting for the right to be the next Arcticala starting keeper, and Jaded won that job, leading Arcticala to the Tropical Trophy title in Season 27 - on penalty kicks, against his opposite number Planst who was making his first start for Cednia Beach since leaving Arcticala. After a stellar tit-for-tat opening to their careers, both Planst and Jaded hit a mid-career funk with club and country culminating with Arcticala Inlet's shock relegation from the Stellar Division following V-League Season 36 leaving many to wonder if Jaded would remain at his life-long club.

[ 88 ] Haneshi Hamaaz'urii [ - Morata Valley - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 25 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.00 Average Rating ]
Hamaaz'urii played in the 19th Di Bradini Cup as well as an AOCAF Cup for Andossa Se Mitrin Vega before moving a stones throw away to Vilita to play for the Yeaddin Owls during V-League Season 29. After a few up and down seasons in Yeaddin, Colonial Sile spent a club record transfer fee to acquire the uncapped goalkeeper. In Sile, Hamaaz'urii led Colonial to the Vilitan Cup and Tropical Trophy titles, the first major silverware in club history. Hamaaz'urii was snapped up by Strike FC prior to Season 36 after the departure of Nycflala Kater. After spending half a season in Lonngeylin, the emergence of Kajaxo Imaslavii as an international hero following Audioslavia's World Cup 63 triumph pushed Hamaaz'urii out of the lineup eventually landing in Morata Valley

DEFENDERS:

[ 68 ] Kadi Molali [ - Makosile - ]
------- D R ( AGE: 29 CAPS: 84 :: GOALS::SR: 7 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.27 Average Rating ]
Molali has the ability to make stunning runs up the right side of the field and has put together exciting 'from-nothing' goal scoring opportunities in weekly scrimmage matches. Molali was an exciting prospect for the Turoki Academy who was solid, but not exceptional during World Cup 57 Qualifying, making 13 appearances and scoring 1 goal. After joining multiple clubs, including Strike FC, Molali left the VLeague abrubtly in the middle of VLeague 26. After some time off, Molali returned, signing for Eastal Lunar FC and completing a strong VLeague Season 27. Following Eastal Lunar's relegation, however, Molali - fearing the relegation could cost him appearances in the National Team, spent 2 seasons at Cednia Beach AFC before moving back to Vilita to play for Makosile.

[ 3 ] Lioniaa Tana [ - Turoki Tide (Vilita) - ]
------- D/DM LC ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 66 :: GOALS::SR: 5 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Tana is one of the most athetlically skilled defensive players in the Turorian arsenal, although Tana's weakness shines in technical areas like heading and man to man marking. After starting their career at Vilitan side Rammsissil, Tana moved to Eastal Lunar FC during V-League 27, winning the Vilitan Cup with the team during Season 28 but relegation triggered a clause allowing Tana to return home to Turori with Cednia Beach AFC for Season 29. After a miserable campaign which saw Tana without Champions Cup competition, Tana joined the Turoki Tide for Season 34, doing so in time for their 43rd UICA Cycle run. The Tide lifted the UICA Globe Cup and UICA Super Cup, one of three Turorian players on the roster for the Tide's Triumph

[ 67 ] Eda Shindhi [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 29 CAPS: 18 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.02 Average Rating ]
Shindhi is a player in the mold of former Marine Coast defensive stalwarts Ade Hinds and Sibusiso Azaiez. While Shindhi still has some development to go before realizing his full potential, it is expected that he will continue to get a run out from time to time as his skills progress. Shindhi made his competitive debut in defeat against Brendino the 3rd during World Cup 57 Qualifying but did not impress in that performance. After being trainined at the Coastal Academy, Shindhi signed his first professional contract with Marine Coast United. Shindhi switched to Cednia Beach AFC when Marine Coast were relegated for V-League 27, not enjoying success there, eventually returning to Vilita to play for the Turoki Tide, finishing runners up in V-League 28. Shindhi moved to Arcticala for V-League 30.

[ 4 ] Tyaoino Munviola [ - Makosile - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 18 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.06 Average Rating ]
A towering defender with a dependable head, Munviola is not afraid to join the attack on corner kicks, and rarely loses a defensive header. His feet have let him down from time to time, but have been improving. Despite his inconsistencies, Munviola was a surprise package during World Cup 57 qualifying, making 6 appearances and having a strong ratings average. After multiple seasons in the Non-League with Laiotia Locals, Munviola finally signed a league contract to play with Declasse side Mavaloiao for Season 30. Munviola's fast rise continued when making the big switch to V-League Champions Makosile for Season 32. Things fell apart quickly for the Makos who were anything but strong in their title defense, Munviola jumping ship back to the big island signing with the Yeaddin Owls for Season 33 before moving back to Sile.

[ 94 ] Miiara Makose [ - Strike FC - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 27 CAPS: 83 :: GOALS::SR: 4 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.26 Average Rating ]
Makose has Druidan blood, though has been diluted through multiple generations. He was trained as a goalkeeper in Turori but did not want to be stuck in the shadows of Nycflala Kater, so switched over to the defensive role when joining the Strike Academy. The transition was clearly justified as Makose was one of the top performing players in World Cup 57 qualifying, carrying a 6.65 average rating while appearing in 14 of Vilita's 16 group matches. Makose was also part of Strike's dominating VLeague 27 performances winning the League and Cup titles with the club and repeated the feat during VLeague 29, doing one better, having scored the game-winning goal in the 86th minute of the Cup Final against the rival Yeaddin Owls. Incredibly, Makose did it again during the Season 30 Cup Final, scoring the opening goal of Strike's 2-0 victory over Colonial Sile.

[ 2 ] Moia Fliporta [ - Kiiarana City (Vilita) - ]
------- D/DM L ( AGE: 25 CAPS: 2 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Fliporta started their career at Laiotia Locals in the Non-League system of Vilita. Known for aerobic ability such as speed, acceleration and the ability to jump higher than most anyone on the pitch, Fliporta is otherwise not particularly great at the technical aspects of the game. After holding out to remain the star at non-league Laiotia City, Fliporta finally 'sold out' and moved to the Stellar Division to play for Kiiarana City.

[ 8 ] Ricata Amakra [ - Morata Valley - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 29 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.00 Average Rating ]
The product of the Alikka-Corra Academy is a defender being compared locally with former Alikki-Corra FC defender Emarka Laniora. While he doesn't yet share the same ability to charge up either wing with the ball, his solid defensive skills should see him earn some playing time with the National Team. Amakra has been a star performer in the Non-Leagues with the Orbital Kickers. After amassing a 10-season, 400+ match career outside the Vilitan League system, Amakra finally made the leap ahead of V-League Season 37 signing for Morata Valley and moving back to the main island.

DEFENSIVE MID:

[ 22 ] Klaillal Tuirma [ - Kionao Locals - ]
------- ATH ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Descendant of Season 4 Turorian Player of the Season and National team legend Cuolia Tuirma, Klaillal will work with Restiaa Mumamba to become the future "All-Around" player for the Turori National Team. Playing in a unique role, Tuirma will be expected to fill the role of being able to play every game, in every position - even Goalkeeper, if there are no subs left. Tuirma will certainly be starting as a substitute during their debut campaign in World Cup 62 but may get the chance to start against weaker opposition.

[ 22 ] Restiaa Mumamba [ - Turoki Tide (Vilita) - ]
------- ATH ( AGE: 27 CAPS: 66 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Mumamba was the definition of a versatile player for Vilita's Yeaddin Owls after joining them for the V-League 27 season from Jlinal Cove FC. Mumamba played in every position from Central Defender to Striker, scoring a game winning goal in one game and a game saving tackle in the next. Mumamba is an expert choice for a third sub or to allow tactical changes on the pitch without substitutions being made. The strong and versatile performances of Mumamba during Season 28 earned Mumamba a high profile transfer to defending Stellar Division champions Arcticala Inlet but he left the Electricians the following season to be apart of the growing Yeaddin Owls squad.

[ 30 ] Ukalai Saluria [ - Cednia Beach - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 27 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.00 Average Rating ]
Saluria was a product of the Turoki Academy, who has trained with the National Team as an alternate since World Cup 57. Saluria played much of his early career for Jaguar Moreda in the Vilitan Non-League system. Saluria was discovered by Lopinka United during Season 31 and strong performances quickly earned the midfielder a switch to Stellar Division side Turoki Tide for Season 32. Saluria was one of the few dark spots in the Tide's run to the championship and would not be retained for the Season 33 campaign. Kiiarana City snapped him up where he became the V-Leagues lowest performing international player, once again, inspite of the strong performances by his club. Used mostly as a sub on the domestic side, Saluria's set-piece ability is likely the only thing that has kept the player on the National Team radar.

[ 39 ] Tujamu Treola [ - Colonial Sile - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 34 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.52 Average Rating ]
A product of the Strike Academy, Tujamu Treola excels both defensively in the midfield, and with his head both defensively and on corner kicks. Treola made his competitive debut in World Cup 57 qualifying against West Zirconia. After spending the majority of his youth at Tivali United, Treola joined Jlinal Cove in the middle of Season 31 to attempt to save them from relegation but was unsuccessful, later making the switch back to the Stellar Division, spending one season with Arcticala Inlet before moving to Sile to play with Colonial, winning both the Vilitan Cup and Tropical Trophy with the club.

MIDFIELDERS:

[ 25 ] Kiroki Mitaroka [ - Yeaddin Owls AFC - ]
------- M RLC ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 46 :: GOALS::SR: 3 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.20 Average Rating ]
After starting at the Turoki Locals in the Lower Leagues, Mitaroka's talent was spotted by Inland Peaks FC who snapped the youngster up for V-League season 29. At the midway point of the season Mitaroka was setting the Declasse on fire with skillful performances and caught the attention of the Vilitan coaches who added Mitaroka to the World Cup 59 roster despite having never been called to the National Team before.

[ 17 ] Lopaki Kilpter [ - Strike FC - ]
------- AM/F ( AGE: 17 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]

[ 21 ] Jomur Hulyer [ - Mliona-Lpaka (Turori) - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 122 :: GOALS::SR: 20 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.26 Average Rating ]
A decsendent of the exciting Marine Coast and Yeaddin midfielder Jonjo Hulyer, Jomur has been compared heavily to his ancestors and even carries the same squad number. Unlike Jonjo, however, Jomur was trained at the Yeaddin Academy. Hulyer would soon become the quickest player to ever represent all three of the original Vilitan Dynasties, signing his first professional contract with Marine Coast United before transferring to Strike for VLeague 28. The list of honors earned by Hulyer in Lonngeylin was massive, with 5 appearances in the Tropical Trophy, 3 Stellar Division Championships and a Vilitan Cup title in addition to being a finalist for Vilitan player of the Season every season he spent in Lonngeylin. After Strike failed to claim a Champions League place following Season 35, Hulyer decided it was time for a change of scenery, moving to Turori to join forces with Mliona-Lpaka FC.

[ 70 ] Aniara Jiurjai [ - Mliona-Lpaka (Turori) - ]
------- M RLC ( AGE: 27 CAPS: 22 :: GOALS::SR: 3 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.38 Average Rating ]
Jiurjai was trained in Turori but declared for Vilita after being called upon for World Cup 57 Qualifying. Jiurjai can play both central and outside midfield and can use both feet equally well. After declaring for Vilita, Jiurjai moved from Turori to Turoki to play with the Turoki Tide. Strong performances during VLeague 26 earned Jiurjai a transfer to Strike for VLeague 27 where the midfielder was instrumental to Strike's League and Cup double. However, Strike's success would eventually lead to Jiurjai being excessed as an influx of new signings joined the club, and the midfielder opted to move to Arcticala Inlet when the contract allowed during Season 31, accomplishing little before moving on to Kiiarana City, performing equally unimpressively. Jiurjai had a career-best performance during Season 35 after moving to Colonial Sile, netting 3 goals.

[ 13 ] Vrotaoa Lorasoiba [ - Arcticala Inlet (Vilita) - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 66 :: GOALS::SR: 7 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Lorasoiba's impressive performances for Turoki United, including 5 goals during the V-League 26 season, earned a high-value transfer to top Vilitan side Arcticala Inlet AFC. While it took Lorasoiba some time to get settled into life on the big Island, Lorasoiba's performances were enough to get an invitation to the Turori National Training camp for World Cup 58.

[ 73 ] Manolis Kontalroma [ - Mliona-Lpaka (Turori) - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 27 CAPS: 43 :: GOALS::SR: 9 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.79 Average Rating ]
A product of the Kiiara Academy, Manolis Kontalroma can play central or on the left side in a classic midfield role. After signing professionally with Jlinal Cove FC, Kontalroma joined the Yeaddin Owls during Vleague 26. Kontalroma stayed at Yeaddin for over 3 seasons before joining the Turoki Tide during VLeague 30. Kontalroma played just 9 games for the Tide before the Owls snapped him back up for Season 31, a return to form of sorts as the Owls returned to the title picture.

[ 24 ] Astara Daiili [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 29 CAPS: 43 :: GOALS::SR: 4 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.18 Average Rating ]
Daiili is a classic central midfielder who prefers a holding role and short distribution. With Starblaydi blood and Vilitan determination, Daiili was a consistent performer during World Cup 57 Qualifiers making 19 appearances with a 6.07 average rating. After spending the first 6 seasons of the career in Crosaibi, Daiili jumped ship at struggling Marine Coast for a team with far more Starblayde heritage, Kiiarana City.

[ 74 ] Jian Lejsrma [ - Strike FC - ]
------- AM RL ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 59 :: GOALS::SR: 14 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.88 Average Rating ]
Lejsrma is a speed demon who was trained at the Strike Academy. The most dynamic and pacey winger in the Vilitan system, he is expected to be a great player for many seasons to come. At this stage in his development, he may get overlooked as he works more on his technique and vision, but with experience, he will learn these skills. Lejsrma has been an important part of Strike FC's VLeague successes

FORWARDS:

[ 9 ] Lita Adjei [ - Yeaddin Owls AFC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 27 CAPS: 48 :: GOALS::SR: 19 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.71 Average Rating ]
A product of the Turoki Academy, Adjei has sport in the blood, being a descendent of former Stellar Division top Forward award winner Ippolit Adjei. Adjei moved on a loan to newly promoted Hojosan in The Yorozura after WC57 quals as part of an investment deal with the clubs kit sponsors, VIlitan based Vilaye energy drink. When that deal expired, Adjei returned to the Vilitan League, being snapped up by Kiiarana in the Stellar Division and quickly rising to the level of stardom with strong performances and crucial goals during Season 29, seeing the single-cap player called to the squad for World Cup 59. Adjei's impressive performances earned him a high-profile transfer to Arcticala Inlet for V-League 30 where the strong performances continued, including earning the highest performance rating in the V-League during Season 33 while scoring 11 goals. After the Electricians began dropping down the table, Adjei bolted to Colonial Sile for Season 35 in a high-profile transfer that resulted in 11 goals during Adjei's debut season in Sile. After spending two seasons in Sile, Adjei moved to Yeaddin to play for the Owls during Season 37

[ 9 ] Anuh Ciniima [ - Morata Valley (Vilita) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 33 :: GOALS::SR: 5 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Ciniima was born in Turori to Misrantian parents before moving to Vilita to study and train for his sporting career. The unselfish striker joined Morata Valley after their promotion to the Stellar Division for Season 27 as a compliment to Turorian Striker Loala Kigoouao. Ciniima, while able to put the ball in the net when needed, has shown to be an expert decision maker, recording twice as many assists as goals inside the box.

[ 13 ] Yves Gadois [ - Strike FC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 45 :: GOALS::SR: 17 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.57 Average Rating ]
Gadois became a hot topic in Vilita after rising to glory as the spearhead for Strike FC's Vleague 27 championship, with 8 league goals and an incredibly 6 goals in the Vilitan Cup. Gadois, a product of the Inland Academy, earned an invitation to the National Team Training camp for the first time in the build up to World Cup 58.

[ 43 ] Kristofer Kilpter [ - East Franz Athletic (PIS) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 28 CAPS: 71 :: GOALS::SR: 24 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.28 Average Rating ]
Kilpter is joint Vilitan & Turori national, but declared to play for Vilita, with the lure of World Cup competition in Vilita's entry into World Cup 57 the key decision maker after the Turorian side was not entered. Kilpter netted 4 times during the World Cup 57 campaign but missed three matches due to an undisclosed injury. After struggling to win silverware with the Yeaddin Owls, Kilpter made the Largest Transfer in V-League history (12.7 kT) to Turorian side Cednia Beach. The transfer was more than double the 4.5kT previous transfer record in the Vilitan League, which was also payed by Cednia Beach to Yeaddin (for Antonis Siazzu). The struggles continued for Kilpter in the hunt for Silverware as Cednia Beach simply could not get over the hurdle, either in the V-League or in the UICA Champions League. Cednia Beach recouped their transfer fee in dishing Kilpter out to East Franz Athletic in the Polar Islandstates prior to Season 33. A rejuvinated Kilpter received praise for his performances in the Polar Islandstates while Cednia Beach would go on to miss out on Champions Cup qualification for the first time.

[ 41 ] Nili Ylimaiina [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 18 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]

[ 19 ] Jukkia Diijelhma [ - Kionao Locals - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 24 :: GOALS::SR: 3 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Born in Starblaydia, Diijelhma moved to Turori following V-League Season 26 to pursue a new career in the Island Emirate. Diijelhma was one of the few Kionao Locals players in their disasterous V-League 27 season to receive even neutral reviews. Despite scoring no goals on the season, the Striker showed some skill that was required for the Locals to avoid another relegation in Season 28, and also proved to be useful for the Turori National team.

The Kasian National Squad
Sponsored by ColombaTM

Secundus Kasius:

Secundus Kasius is a sprawling mass of huddled boroughs, interspersed with small areas of accidental natural beauty. It has been “united” for 95 years, since the infamous Domito Haxtes led his forces against the other cities within the land of Kasius. Since then the Haxtes family has led with an iron fist, controlling the nation through a combination of oppression, law, and a vast lack of social mobility. There is a large amount of in-fighting between those in line to the Secundus Kasius throne, and as such rulers do not last long – Domito Haxtes was replaced by Laevis Haxtes within five years of unification, who met an unfortunate accident at the end of his reign. Sicara Haxtes is the current Unifier, having been in power for ten years.

The capital borough is Nexus, and this is the only area which most tourists to the country will visit – it is a large industrialised area, with new buildings squashed in crassly besides and between historical ones. However despite this, in the daylight hours visitors would find much of the city deserted, as the general populace is expected to be working hard during this time. The people of Nexus are generally cautious around strangers, as crime rates are high and the police care for little – those on the street look for profit rather than justice, whilst those in the offices focus upon pleasing the Haxtes family. Visitors are advised to avoid the police as much as they are the general populace. Weaponry is not only legal but encouraged for self defence, and this can make even the tamest bar-fight turn nasty. Alcohol and other recreational drugs are plentiful, perhaps to keep the native Kasians sane.

Recently Nexus has been hit by a series of riots, seemingly instigated by an individual attempting to vote. This spiralled dramatically to the current moment in time, where the streets of Nexus are patrolled by both armed and mounted police. Citizens may not carry weapons upon the streets, any signs of insubordination may result in harsh consequences, and gatherings of more than 3 are forbidden – making football a difficult pastime.

Football in Secundus Kasius:

Whilst football is a traditional sport of Secundus Kasius- though the rules are often hotly debated – it was only recently that an official international team was formed. This is mostly due to the common people being 'encouraged' to take jobs which benefit the people (aka the government) rather than entertaining the masses. Instead football is viewed mostly as a hobby, and those on the few national teams also hold down full-time jobs in industry. Recently there has been a call for football to be considered an entertainment career, to allow players sufficient time to train. Football is also played by the elite of Secundus Kasius, who of course have no need for other jobs - however, the sport they play is much more gentile than the rough-and-tumble experienced on the pitches of the majority of the nation. A few months ago the Kasian squad made their international début in AOCAF 38, making a promising start although ultimately failing to pass through the first round. However, the fire had then been lit in the hearts of players and fans alike, and the Kasian team blitzed through Baptism of Fire 50 with only two losses – finishing with a very respectable 3rd place. After their inability to qualify for World Cup 63, it has been decided that maybe more international matches need to be played, in order to prepare more efficiently.

Sponsor: ColombaTM Beverages

Despite Colomba's contract awarding them exclusive rights to broadcasting and advertising during national sports this year, the recent incident with their beverage “Caffee” caused enough controversy that the Haxtes family rescinded this honour. The argument was that the drink had actively harmed the Kasian national squad's ability to play a match, and almost resulted in the death of the Secundus Kasius mascot. Whilst ColombaTM Beverages are still broadcasting the majority of the matches, other companies have now been offered a chance to bid on advertising slots, and magazines are permitted to run full stories instead of simply interviewing players.

Manager: Sir Ravion Victus, KKE Freddy Arkwright

Previously a miner, Arkwright rose swiftly to a legend status in Secundus Kasius during his time as goalkeeper - however, he felt he was unsuitable for the international playing field at his advancing age and resigned at the end of the latest Cup of Harmony, opting to replace Sir Ravion Victus after his unfortunate demise. Arkwright's famously dirty tactics have continued on into his management and coaching style, and as a result the team is more than capable of defending playing overly aggressively, and often escape referee detection. He has been rumoured to have been seen bribing referees and other officials, but this has never been verified. His wife Cassie is a frequent sight at his side, and is just as fierce when it comes to defending the team and their dishonourable tactics.

The Starting Squad: 3-4-3 formation

Goalkeeper

Name: Maisie Richards
Maisie has yet to play in an international game, yet so far she has performed admirably in the friendly matches that Secundus Kasius is beginning to host. Her style is much less violent than that the previous Kasian goalkeeper employed, but beneath her friendly demeanour is a steely resolve and a determination to win with honour. Young to make the national team, she was handpicked by Arkwright himself to avoid the age issues he found himself faced with.

Defence

Name: Johnny Hall
Johnny's day job is a reporter for the Daily Dove, one of Secundus Kasius' national newspapers. Upon his editor discovering Johnny played football as a kid, he was quickly given leave and handed a suitcase, so he could cover events from within the action of the AOCAF. Now he has a secure job as an international sports journalist, and though it can be stressful he is very good at keeping his nerve in most situations. What Johnny lacks in endurance he makes up for in speed and an uncanny ability to be in the right place at the right time - he is not above a few kicks towards the shins when he can be sure the referee isn't watching.

Name: Hayden Jones [Captain]
Mr Jones is a physical education teacher, and to the children, his word is *law*. An imposing figure, he is regarded as one of the best defenders known to the nation - he is relentless when it comes to reclaiming the ball. The rules are very important to him, and any attempt to break them, by either his team or the opponents, will be met with very strong opposition. You can be certain that, back in Nexus High, there will be a group of schoolchildren eagerly cheering on their teacher from the classroom.

Name: Potenta Callidus
A member of the nobility who believe football is an acceptable pastime, Miss Callidus is an impressionable young lady with a desire to win. Sir Victus goes to great efforts to keep her from the more vocal male members of the team, but some of the women are just as bad, and from her recent vocabulary it is clear he's fighting a losing battle. Alongside her language, Potenta's play style is also adapting, with her usual polite taps turning into fullblown (and surprisingly effective) tackles and the occasional dive thrown in for good measure, now she's learnt people will not always just give her what she wants. During the Baptism of Fire Callidus accidentally started a fashion trend within Nexus when she attended a match straight from a suspected tryst, and played in merely an oversized football shirt and belt.

Midfielders

Name: Andy Harris
A young lad, Mr Harris' skills at chemistry found him a job working pharmaceuticals from a relatively early age. The time spent in the labs meant Andy needed a way to blow off some steam, and football was his answer. The fumes from the drugs he works with all day (Secundus Kasius is not known for its safety standards) mean Andy is not the most healthy individual, but he moves with an eerie and fragile speed upon the pitch.

Name: Quintos Serpa
Quintos is of the opinion that seeing the world is dreadfully fashionable, and as such he trained and trained to be part of the starting squad. Whilst many may mistake him for just another fop, he is actually rather intelligent and this shows through on the pitch. He's studied previous matches from all over the region, and though not the most physically fit on the field, his mental agility more than makes up for this and he is often found where he is needed most. Quintos does not have the endurance to sprint about the pitch all match, and is instead used as an interim for passes – he is surprisingly accurate with a ball. Serpa is not the best team player, especially as a long-standing slight between him and his previous fiancée Potenta Callidus has isolated him from many other players. However, he shows considerable bias towards Miss Jackson, who is rumoured to be his new belle.

Name: Laura Jackson
Laura cringes inwardly when people learn of her job – she works as a lion tamer for her local zoo, and the jokes are endless. She is one of the team's powerhouses, with a strong tackle and a good right foot. However, she is very independent, and will often miss chances if they involve a substantial amount of teamwork. Another highly competent player for a national team, Laura is known to be sturdy, reliable, and nigh impossible to knock down...all important traits in her profession.

Name: Castus Caudex (3 goal at international level)
Sir Castus is not the most intelligent of men, and it shows. When his parents noticed his lack of spark, they instead enrolled him in an intense physical training course run by one of the Haxtes themselves (admittedly a distant relative). After years of this regime, the man is built like a brick wall, yet surprisingly agile for his stature. Caudex struggles when he is left alone on the pitch, but when he has other team-mates to help lead his actions he is a valuable member of the squad.

Forwards

Name: Ben Turner (18 goals at international level)
Speed is the name of Ben's game, both in his professional role as a paramedic but also on the pitch. One of his major assets is his ability to patch up players so they can play, in the likely event of a dressing room punch-up. Wary of injuries himself, he can be a very cautious player, but when he is able to take a shot, it is more often than not upon target.

Name: Gallus Haxtes (17 goals at international level)
A member of the Haxtes family, rulers of Secundus Kasius, Gallus is shown a lot of respect upon the pitch when playing on Kasian turf. Unfortunately this does not reflect his ability, and he is often considered (in very quiet tones) to be a liability to the team's chances. A black sheep within his own family, Gallus tries his hardest to integrate himself with the rest of the players, but most avoid him either because of his status within Secundus Kasius, or the views of the rest of the Haxtes family. Gallus is used to people giving way and letting him score rather than directly challenging him, so expect tantrums when things inevitably don't go his way. (A brief note on naming - the Haxtes family is the head family of Secundus Kasius, and as such Gallus would never be referred to as "Haxtes" in any reports, to do so would imply Haxtes Sicara, Unifier of Secundus Kasius, was being mentioned!)

Name: Ed Holt (34 goals at international level)
The face of football in Secundus Kasius, Ed Holt – publicity chaser extraordinaire - is expected to deliver a fair few goals this tournament. Normally a chef for a high-class restaurant, Holt is hanging up his apron to represent his country on a different field. His love for football began when he started an outreach program for Kasian kids as a publicity stunt, but soon the club became the highlight of his life. Ed knows the media, and knows the best way to get his name heard is to focus on scoring goals and being seen – sometimes resorting to showboating or dirty tactics in a last-ditch effort to be the centre of attention.

Khytenna prepare to step up for the AOCAF

Khytenna had a tough time in their cup of harmony, in fact they under preformed for the tournament with was meant to be the ultimate chance to show the world what khytenna football is all about. However, with Khytenna taking part in the 39th AOCAF, Khytenna have another chance to have a crack at a major tournament. But this would be hard task, as Khytenna have been drawn into a difficult group, with most team equally ranked apart the biggest threat to Khytenna, the 5 time world champions Valanora!

The squad for this tournament will include the mix of Old and new just like in the cup of harmony, this time seeing Oatts, Loy and Waterstone enter the team, with Waterstone looking to got a game at some point of the competition, some tipping him to be the next Syd!! However with injuries to Yzo and Pellet, Hytan and Polglaze will be the go to guys to partner Firestone

Khytenna's first game is against Naitpyge, a good team, that players a very heavy midfield game, so much so that they have no forwards in there starting line-up! Khytenna will have to try the pace of the their team to get the ball to their forwards, but will likely feel to be on the back foot for most of the game. Khytenna will need to watch Vörös, he has racked the most goal's in the squad and will be a major threat. Naitpyge however, is also the only team the Khytenna have a chance of beating.

Captain and defender of Khytenna, Oliver Testerman spoke to use about the upcoming game and the AOCAF.

"this group is darn tough, Valanora is going to be a hard game, but i am sure me and the lads are going to enjoy that game so much. the upcoming game, well we have to watch there attack carefully, with that many midfield players they will be attacking from all angles, we just have to be fast, and get the ball down field, we still are still going try to play attacking football, but we will have to work hard in are normal formation"

West Guiana AOCAF Pre-view

Head Coach
Felipe Herendez is out and Don Hummel is in. Hummel was hired as the fourth manager of the West Guiana National Soccer Team only two weeks ago he replaces Herendez who was hired before AOCAF 36 and quit last year after yet another disappointing showing in the qualifying stages of the 63rd World Cup. In truth it was leaked that even before Hummel was hired he was hand picked by Herendez just before leving the head coaching job five weeks ago.

So now at lest it's official and however though Hummel will be playing a double duty too, he is also acting as a player still. Though this will be his last stint as a player and he hopes for another qualification to the AOCAF but wants even more he wont say how much more but it's a good guess he wants out of the Round of 16.

Group G

For the thirty-ninth edition of the world's longest running regional soccer tournament West Guiana finds its self in a very favorable group.

Austernasy (53): If we're right this team made their debute appearance in AOCAF 37, like any team that debutes they were less than steller. However though they're back and hopeing to improve on their past performances.(W)

High Heels: They are un ranked and sure to be an easy win for many squads in Group G, however though they at ends time wont be playing for much they'll want to play upset and that they might just do.(W)

Andossa Se Mitrin Vega (7): An team and nation that are as old as time, much respect for them a squad that knows no fear and coming from what the Government of West Guiana lists as a totalitarian state with an utter complete lack of self being for the poor and helpless. However though such nations make up for it with very well trained and discipline, and through it's history they have done just that.(L)

West Guiana (18): Compared among the others in our group at lest we're a threat and contender for a possible run to at lest the quarter-finals. Though what we've always lacked in strength and optimistic outlooks we've made up for striving for our dreams no matter how thin they are. (-)

Kinitaria (29): Yet another squad we our selves know little about, but they didn't get to being ranked twenty-ninth for no reason. After the Vegians they are not to be over looked one bit what so ever, they're here for real and want more like any other team. (T)

Prediction for group (2-1-1)

NS is just a state of mind, time has no boundary nor does our sanity.

Please ignore my senseless ramblings, I'm getting old.

Aliston Antler stood at the head of the table, looking over the players assembled in front of him. The squad had had a bit of a re-fresh since the last Cuppet, and he had high hopes that these new faces would bring in greater success. He clacked a hoof on the wooden tabletop to grab everyone's attention, then loudly cleared his throat to get Lujayn and Hassan to shut up. Those two just couldn't stop yapping.

"Alright, everyone. We're going up against actual World Class sides this time, so we've got to take this seriously. Who's got the draw?"

"I do," said Oppy as he slid a paper to the center of the table. "Can't read worth a damn, though."

Aliston sighed and looked over to Azucena, who put up a hoof. "You do not need to ask." Oppy slid the paper closer to the only Impala (and female) on the team, who also happens to be one of the few literate players. "It says we shall play Vilita and Turori--they are combined into one team--Maklohi Vai, Ninety-Five Ex, and Secundus Kasius."

"Alright... does anyone know anything about them?" The captain scanned the room, hoping for something. Anything.

Baqir slowly raised his hoof. "It's not much... but I know Ninety-Five Ex does not participate in the World Cup, nor the Cuppet. They may be rusty and open for upset."

"They also won an AOCAF," interjected Bluegrass, "we cannot afford to underestimate them."

"We cannot understimate anyone," called out Pterra, "remember that we are the new guys here. Everyone else is expecting to beat the snot out of us."

Lujayn started to shake in his seat, a smile slowly coming to his face. Aliston cocked an eyebrow at him, and waited to see if the loquacious goat had anything to say. He was still just jiggling around. "Have you got something to say, Luja-"

"YES! I remembered something! All those teams are really aggressive! Except the Mak... Maklo... the ones from way south. They are defensive."

Aliston was rather surprised that Lujayn actually contributed to a discussion. "A very good point! These matches are probably going to be high-scoring. That means you and Iron are going to have to step up."

"Oh..." Lujayn seem to deflate a little realizing how much pressure he'd be under as one of only two defenders. It was quite a lot for the second-youngest member of the team (and the youngest member was one of the substitute defenders!), but a thirteen-year-old is already an adult by Ibex standards.

"It is alright," soothed Azucena, wrapping a hoof around Lujayn's, "I am positive you will do well." That seemed to calm him down, but he probably didn't quite understand what 'positive' meant.

Danger from the wings, Naitpyge strike twice to defeat Khytenna.

Naitpyge -2
Vörös 17th, 78th

Khytenna - 0

Khytenna had there work cut out last night, the pace and width that Naitpyge played was to much for some of the players, despite some dogged defending by the Khytennans for must the game, Naitpyge top goal scorer Vörös got top opportunities to score, both never wasted. Khytenna however managed to get the ball down field and past the Naitpyge dominated midfield, but the lacked the finish to get the goals.

From the start of the game, Khytenna felt like they where chasing the ball, the width and pace that Naitpyge played was impressive, moving the ball fast around their 6 midfield, which was hard for Khytenna to deal with, but they the most part the dealt with it well, the firstn real chance of goal Naitpyge had demonstrated Khytenna's resolve and determination. Nyilas manged to get past Xin and in the box, eyeing up the shot, he found himself quickly under pressure from Oatts and Testerman, he made the shot but it went over the cross bar, it was fantastic defending from Khytenna.

this would not last though, as Vörös made his first chance at goal count. he received a high ball from the defence on the wing, he chested it and moved quickly into goal, as he did this he shugged of Berkeley and made a shot at goal, Hay went for the ball, but it went though him in to the net, First goal to Naitpyge.

Most the first half Khytenna where on the back foot, as Naitpyge tried to stretch their lead, Khytenna defence managed to stop more goal for the half. the only good chance of the half for Khytenna was from a fantastic run from Firestone, he took the ball from the centre of the pitch and nothing stoped him, he got past the midfield and the past three defenders, he chipped the goal keeper, the ball sailed down and the Khytenna crowd where on their feet, it hit the post and was quickly pounced on by Büki, Firestone had his head in is hands, what a run and what a miss.

the second half saw two more golden oportunites gone from Khytenna, as the game started slip away for the stripes. on the 48th minute, Khytenna had a free kick from the left of the penalty box, the ball was crossed in by Evelyn, and was crossed over the box and towards the edge where Falcon and beaten his marker and had an open goal waiting for him! He hit the side netting, another head in hands moment for Khytenna. Substitute Polglaze had another great chance to draw the game level, however this the also lead the an amazing counter attack by the Naitpyge. it was Evelyn again was the one to make a cross, from a good pace, however it came of a defender and didn't go to the intended firestone, instead it went to Polglaze who chiped the ball, in the keeper dived for it, and it looked to have beaten him, but Bátori got hold of it. as he ge gathered the ball up, he booted the ball the down field to a waiting Vörös who changed gears fast as he powered down the feild, the defenders tryed to keep up with him but it looked like he was a way, he turned into the box from the wing, and did same as he did inn the first half, another goal from a fantastic player, that would be his 20th goal for his country.

The game ended 2-0, and the Khytenna players walked of the field knowing that they could of won this game if they managed to finish the chances they had, the pace and depth of play that Naitpyge played is a simpular style to khytenna, so Khytenna was effectively beaten at their own game, but was completely outclassed by fast Naitpyge team.

The captain Testerman after the game gave us a few words on the match.

"Gutted, completely gutted, we hardly saw the ball the most part of the game, when we did, we just couldn't find that goal, we gave it our all in defence and young Oatts played great on his first game, but the goals came, i think it was just a bad day in the office for us"

your thinking things couldn't get worse? Khytenna next game against 5 time world champions Valanora.

The whistle blew and so ended the match
And any points, they had failed to snatch
They'd been truly outclassed
Defense utterly harrassed
But only two goals Thatius managed to dispatch

The first occured quite early in the game
So fast, the striker, they didn't catch his name
Deftly chipped over squinty
Who lost out in a sprint, he
Watched the ball ricochet in off the frame

In the second half came the final blow
A Thatius build-up, ominous and slow
Quickly flicked into the box
Thatcher cried out 'Oh Cocks!'
Volley, bottom corner, true and low

The Lymrykers took some small solace in the score
Without their strong defending, it could have easily been more
At Qualification, if they want a crack
They must get the knack of attack
Or be satisfied with many a no-score draw

A bye-day was a pleasant picture
Ahead of the dreaded Valanora fixture
The calm before the storm
Where they had to perform
How they wished for some magical elixir

THE DAILY REVIEW

Eagles Prepare For Hard Road

The Blouman Empire enter their second AOCAF Cup tournament and will be coming up against tough opponents in the group stage that is due to give the team a good warm up leading into the next World Cup qualifiers. The Empire has been drawn into Group E and along with current champions Audioslavia, Hutt River, Carpathia and Ruthenia and Lerurian.

Manager Sir Nathan Kolson has taken an unchanged squad since the last Cup of Harmony citing stability and the need for all players to gain further experience in preparation for the World Cup qualifiers as the reasons for taking the same team. The move suggests that Kolson will continue with the current squad moving forward a move that some commentators have criticised claiming that no renewal will harm the chances of the Empire performing well in both the AOCAF Cup and the World Cup qualifiers. Captain Baden Lakes echoed the words of his manager stating “I am pleased that Sir Nathan has kept the same players I am looking forward to playing with them all again. I think it is important that we don’t change the squad too much it provides stability and allows us to understand how we play and develop our game style together to allow a much better coordinated style of play”.

The team will first be playing against Lemurian who will be playing in their first AOCAF Cup, the team is an unknown element within the footballing world but will provide the Eagles with a chance to shake off the cobwebs and prepare themselves for further games. The Eagles are tipped to win this game but will need to be careful to ensure they start this campaign on the right foot.

After the unknow Lemurian the team will next be facing the well know Audioslavia. Audioslavia are not only the current AOCAF champions but also the current World Cup champions and are the hot favourites to win this cup for a second time running. While the Empire has managed to beat Audioslavia in the past but the team won’t be so willing to give up three points this time. This game will be the hardest of the four of the group stage for the Eagles and will set up the rest of the tournament for the Eagles. This is destined to be the hardest game with the Eagles already on long odds on this game

The Eagles recently faced Carpathia and Ruthenia in the last World Cup qualifiers and failed to beat them both times. Kolson and his team will be seeking revenge when they face again this time determined to secure the win. This game will prove to be a pivotal point in the Eagle’s campaign a loss will surely give them no chance to finish in the top 2 and will be seeing their campaign ending early.

TheEagles will finish off the group stage against Hutt River, while the team has yet to face them in the past. Hutt River are a strong and experienced team inside and are expected to perform well in this tournament and are the only team expected to finish above Audioslavia in the group stage. The Empire will have a hard fought game ahead of them and could be the game that decides if the team move past the group stage or finish early.

The Empire had a bye during the first matchday and spent the day doing a light training session at the camp in Valanora as they further prepared for their first group stage match. In an interview after the session Kolson spoke of the hard road that his team have over the next four days but said that he team will not be sitting down and will be fighting every minute to win.

Stale Start As Syndicate Suck

25th February 12013

Raynor City, VALANORA---- The Syndicate National team got off to a slow start today in the AOCAF 39, scraping a 0-0 draw against Dorian and Sonya. While a draw is nice, and a win wasn't expected, nobody managed to score any goals.

The Syndicate played a defensive game, like Fligsive did in the Unification War, and it paid off. Play was centered around the centre of the pitch, with neither team managing to get many shots on target. Any and all shots were easily blocked by either team's goalkeepers. Jacob Pratt tried to make some crosses to Mitchell, but none of them connected. Either they missed, or were cruelly stolen by the opposing team.

Overall, a boring game, but hopefully the Syndicate can pick it up in future matchdays.

"Come to Calorborne" the advertisement had said, "and make a retirement last a life-time". Calorborne, the sandy, sunny island in the deep south of Rushmore. Home to Tempus Barred, the capital city of the island, and one that took up half of its meager landmass.

Tempus Barred. Population: 13,000. Main export: Gin. Main imports: Tonic water, citrus fruits, corkscrews, dental gel, colostomy bags, mothballs, and rich retired folks from all over the world. Time zone: None. Or all of them. It was difficult to tell. Quiet, hot, sunny, with a long, glorious beach and hundreds of watering holes, Tempus Barred would have been the greatest holiday destination in the world if only time wasn't so unreliable. At some points - those Jeremy preferred to frequent - a day would pass as quickly as a week back in Audioslavia. The local TV stations couldn't broadcast football games live, of course, as the game would pass in fifteen minutes of frenzied activity, so the games were recorded, slowed down and played in their entirety on Calorborne TV straight afterwards. During major international tournaments, when there'd be two or more games played in one day, there was an almost continuous stream of soccer through the television, entire tournaments played out in a matter of days.

A terrible place to go on holiday unless you wanted a month of vacation time to be played out over seventy-two hours of non-stop football. A great place to retire to, though it had its drawbacks.

The Audioslavia - Carpathia/Ruthenia game finished with the Bulls as victors, albeit in not as convincing a fashion as their various recently-garnered baubles would suggest, a fact that he'd have liked to discuss with Rubio Sanchez over the phone, but that was pretty much impossible. He knew how the conversation would go. Rubio would answer the phone, and the time it took for the satellite delay from Rushmore to Atlantian Oceania to pass, Rubio would have been kept waiting on that end of the phone for ten seconds: Long enough to hang up, confused. In truth, phones were hard enough to come by in Tempus Barred anyway, what with the fluctuations in time rendering conversations difficult from one place to another, with one party's voice sped up to a high-pitched squeak and the other's slowed to a dull growl. There was a small building full of phones that experienced Audioslavian/Starblaydian time in some parts, A/S half-time in others, Karditani flexi-time in others, wherein conversations were possible with the outside world, but by the time a conversation had finished and you left the building you'd be jet-lagged, finding yourself starting a conversation at mid-day, finishing it at midnight, and still without having had your lunch.

Jeremy had, instead, returned to the beach with a pitcher of gin and tonic and watched the sunset mark the beginning, and end, of the Audioslavian weekend.

A great place to retire to, aye, and a great way to extend an already over-long life, but in five months of living on the island - two years of Audioslavian time - he'd begun to have second thoughts on this 'retirement' malarkey.

This will probably help

Hutt River AOCAF 39 roster

GK: Dave Lister
An unenergetic, overweight, slobby, physically middle aged (his real age is around 3,000,040, give or take a few years), stupid man, Lister would be probably the worst choice for a goalkeeper. However, by some sort of miracle he is pretty good at it, and is the first choice as well as being the manager and the captain. His favourite sandwich is triple fried egg-chili-chutney.

RB: Legion
"My name is Legion, for we are many." Legion is an entity created by some of the greatest minds of the 23rd Century, who were experimenting in collective intelligence. He was supposedly one of the most intelligent beings in the universe, but over time they died of old age, and he became less. He doesn't really play in any fixed position, just goes where he thinks 'he' should go.

CB: Arnold Rimmer
A hologram who was brought back to keep Lister sane, Rimmer could be described as a delusional, misogynistic, anally-retentive coward with a severly inflated ego only matched by a sense of self-loathing. He is much more commonly described as a smeghead. He despises Lister, who despises him back with similar levels of intent.

CB: Ace Rimmer
An alternate reality version of Arnold, Ace is in all ways a stereotypical action hero. He enjoys life and lives for adventure. Unlike his counterpart he has people skills and is friendly and liked by all those around him, but does not feel the need to show his superiority. Arnold dislikes Ace, who attempts to be civil with him and only voices his dislike when with Lister.

CB: Kristine Kochanski
A frequent object of Lister's lust, it is eventually revealed that Lister is his own father and her, his mother, due to an unlikely combination of in vitro fertilisation and time travel. Kochanski is an upper middle-class female who often feels alone in a more masculine environment.

LB: Olaf Petersen
A Danish catering officer on the Red Dwarf mining vessel, and best friend of Lister.

DM: Mr. Flibble
A hand puppet penguin which can move about. A bit possessed but cannot do much harm.

RW: Kryten
Kryten is a neurotic Series 4000 mechanoid robotic servant, who has broken his programming. He appears to be human like, with the exception of the flat cubical face and head.

CM: Bob the Skutter
Bob is a motorised service and maintenance robot, named a Skutter, a 2 feet tall motorized box, with one limb, with three claws on the end.

LW: The Cat
The last member of Felis Sapiens, a species descended from Lister's pet cat. The Cat is vain, narcissistic, self-obsessed, and those are 'his best features'.

ST: Talkie Toaster
A toaster with Artificial Intelligence who is completely obsessed with making toast and annoys everyone with his constant requests for making toasted goods.

Substitutes
GK: Holly
CB: Duane Dibbley
CM: Frankenstein
LW: Ramses Niblick the Third Kerplunk Kerplunk Oops Where's My Thribble
ST: Katerina Bartokovsky

Andossa Se Mitrin Vega 4-0 New West Guiana

Now see with our AOCAF 39 pre-view we never said that we'd beat the Vegians nor we'd tie with them, however though we did tell you a loss was more than likely. But hey a four nothing loss isn't truly that bad I mean the team I think was a bit ill pre-pared to whom they were matching off against however though it was very well seen and known that Don Hummel was struggling with the team, playing and coaching at the same time did not fair very well for him. Though by the second half he seemed to have gotten use to the whole coaching thing but we did notice that he traded himself out of the game in favor of Han Honi. So maybe that game was his last as he did remarkably well while he was on the side lines, to bad he didn't start doing it that way till the second half because by this point West Guiana was already down four nil.

Though the game seemed like a complete waste more than anything, our newly remolded squad did well, for the fact I think we lost by four was because the Vegians read what we mentioned about their nation so that was some motivation, even more than there would have been. But that was only game one of five and guess what since there are odd numbers in each group we've got our selves a bye for matchday two so we get to rest while we watch and observe our next opponent who is Austernasy who is ranked fifty-third while they haven't played yet we'll be watching and the coaching staff will be watching too.

Now even though we start off Oh and one that was by what we can guess was our hardest group stage match up, and no doubt that loss wont resinate through out the group as we expect ASMV to end group stage 4-0-0. However even a tie may just end up helping that is if they tie which to this point we're not expecting that. What we do expect as we highlighted in our pre-view is that a loss or tie to Kinitaria may put us in a bit more of a muddle as for the battle for the second spot will come down to our two teams. Starting our bye with wins against Austernasy and High Heels and a loss and a tie by Kinitaria should grant us a place in the Round of 16 thus we'd qualify for a second time in a row.

MD3 Austernasy (W) We do expect a win.
MD4 High Heels (W) With a new squad coming in we also expect a win.
MD5 Kinitaria (W/T) This game counts for everything, we expect Kinitaria to beat Austernasy as they have beaten High Heels, and a loss to ASMV we'll both be vying for a chance to move onto the next round. Even with a tie we can still move on as long as we own the other tie breakers.

West Guiana vs ASMV
6th Minute: Aimee Irin‘Lur (ASMV 1-0)
19th Minute: Jorgais Obu‘obua (ASMV 2-0)
22nd Minute: Aimee Irin‘Lur (ASMV 3-0)
31st Minute: Jaqinze Irin’arbor (ASMV 4-0)

Home Away Third

Manager
Seydiya At’rod’uin (Andossa Se Mitrin Vega) (F)
Age: 37
This Vegan has proven to be a brilliant tactician after her several campaigns in charge, taking the Marauders back to the Semifinals and then the Quarterfinals, before eventually leading back to being World Cup Champions. She was the youngest person to have ever filled a role in the Vanorian national team system, when she was appointed manager after the Pocoan Sloan's failure to get to the quaterfinal stage in back to back tournaments. The pressure has been lifted off her from the World Cup Championship and she could become one of the greatest managers in Marauder history if she could capture the elusive AOCAF title as well.

Assistant Manager
Clin Massai
Age: 10, 804
The mind behind Hondo FC's rise to power, he is another one of the assistants who plays mediator between the manager and the staff.

Keeper

Veryasirion Dart, Raynor City United
1 GK
Age - 676
Sex - M
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 181lbs
The back up who was finally given a chance to show that his success at the domestic level is no fluke, and did so repeatedly as the Marauders marched their way to winning World Cup 61.

Defenders

2 Ainglad Gwavaul, Ousevale Borough (Krytenia) ~
Age - 660
Sex - M
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 140 lbs
A hybrid defender who can play as a wingback or a full back. One of the more aggressive defenders to make it on the team and will take chances to go up the flank and use his exceptional crossing ability to generate attacking opportunities.

3 Amonron Eleneth, AC Valanari
Age - 684
Sex - M
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 171 lbs
Quick for his size, Eleneth is the prototypical centerback who stymies any and every foray opposition bring into the box.

4 Thankanion Elenelwa, Mar Sara FC
Age - 620
Sex - M
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 180 lbs
A strong and physical presence that will put some bite into the backline alongside Titenburg.

Midfield

21 Espy va Drake, Yuba United (Paripana)
Age: 737
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 159 lbs
After becoming a folklore hero for the lower class of the world, va Drake has made himself one of the living legends of the game after help leading the side to a title in World Cup 53. He has traveled far and wide while plying his trade, donning kits for no less than four countries clubs, and finally returned him when he signed with United before last season. Seen as the driving force in the middle of the park alongside Hawk, it is up to the opposition to try and figure out how to deal with the brilliance the winger and his other attackers have rather than them to create magic.

6 Aintôrthea Durosa, Royal Rumiatzi (Astograth)
Age - 746
Sex - F
Height: 5"10"
Weight: 144 lbs
Durosa is one of those players that can play just about any position, as her skill set is vast and adequate in multiple areas. She has done exceptionally well in her CMSC seasons, nabbing goals and assists with regularity and has continued with her transfer to the Cafundeu league. Her good knowledge of va Drake's typical playing patterns has made the two to be a devastating pair for the opposition to contain.

14 Laborious Hawk, Urbizania Wanderers (Astograth)
Age - 701
Sex -M
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 213 lbs
Words do not even began to define his talent, his talent defines words. He was awarded one of the spots that the Vanorians have in the World Cup Hall of Fame, with it being very well deserved, as he has and continues to earn everything he has been given every single day.

8 Morronuth Neltanta, Wexax United ~
Age - 732
Sex - M
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 164 lbs
A strong and physical player who uses his body well when shielding off opposing players off the ball. Lacks the pace of some of the squad but is great at keeping possession and finding an outlet pass.

28 Faeron Soldarian, Raynor City United
Age - 615
Sex - M
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 163 lbs
Soldarian continues to live in the shadow of more well known players both on the national team and with his club. Despite this, Soldarian is seen by all on the squad as the emotional leader and the linchpin the in the middle that allows the more attacking minded midfielders being allowed to play their game.

Strikers

9 Allandren Fresco,
Age - 490
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 167 lbs
Fresco has proved once again that he is suited for any role that his managers wish to give him, easily adjusting to Hearts style of play and learning his preferred moves. A great shot and football IQ make him a very dangerous attacker for the Marauders.

10 Tûrin Aerataur, Hondo FC ~
Age - 766
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 156 lbs
Long has he been Hearts strike partner at Hondo, now he replaces the legendary striker on the national team and will look to make use of his dynamic shot to keep the sting of the Vanorian attack strong.

Yet again, the AOCAF Cup. There were some beautiful memories for everyone about it, especisallly about the last one, at home, where they got third place surprising everyone, mainly Pacitalia. But all that was gone, now it was their turn to try and repeat it, with the team almost unchanged and having achieved worldwide fame for their quarterfinal finish last World Cup. But now they were at Valanora, second seeds having just had a bye. Maybe they would've have an advantage on matchday 1 if they had played, being relatively close to Valanora, but sadly, they didn't get to play. It was ok, they were second seeds for a reason... or at least so they thought.

The team was looking good, Dandalleion having recently won the V-League being a key player for Jungle Strike, Tuzzio having left Makosile United for Mliona-Lpaka and then winning a cup final against his ex-team, and probably costing them a champions' cup spot as well, and the other players doing well at their leagues, most notably Tenian who had managed to be the top goalscorer of the Apoxian league despite being a right midfielder. Rossizzo fully trusted them, and they just were in perfect form. The only team that was better than them was the Sylvaaes Queendom, and not by a long run, they could theoretically top the group.

All those thoughts going through everyone's heads. But how would they end up performing the following day? They were facing Pre-Koselites, who were sort of like a practice match, but one that could turn out horrible if they were too big headed, the inidigenous people are a kind they were yet to play, nobody was truly sure of what these Pre-Koselites could do inside the pitch, maybe they were the future World Cup winners having just decided to sign up for something? Maybe they were just some randoms attempting to do decently and bound to failure? They didn't know, what they did know was that they had to face teams one at a time and play every match as if it was a final. A very complicated final. Maybe not everyone would do this, but a few people thinking too highly of the team couldn't hurt that much, the problem would be if everyone thought of it like that.

All in all, they just didn't know what awaited them, but they were sure they were ready. Or were they? They were about to find out...

Kinitaria National Football Team
For the 39th AOCAF
Image

Kinitaria have now missed on out on qualification for the World Cup four times in a row, each time by an incredibly slim margin. The AOCAF will be seen as a chance to restore the team's pride, but dissent could reach ugly levels if this does not happen.

Manager: Kristijan Evinov (age 60)
After an AOCAF in which Kinitaria failed to win a single game, followed by a shaky World Cup campaign as Kinitaria squeezed into the playoffs only to lose 8-5 on aggregate to Sargossa, and then their worst ever Cup of Harmony performance, some fans have expressed no confidence in the team's management. Evinov looks doomed, should Kinitaria fail at the AOCAF.
Tactically, he favours an attacking 4-4-2 formation, which could become a 4-2-4 if necessary, the two wide midfielders pushing up to support the attack. If desperately clinging onto a lead, the plan seems to be one of all out defence, with as much time-wasting and hoofs into the stands as it is possible to cram into the end-game.

Players
The ageing squad which failed to qualify for World Cup 62 was revamped ahead of 63, and it is this squad, unchanged, which travels out to Valanora for an attempt on the AOCAF.

1. Costin Petran - GK - age 33 - 1. Maja - 114 caps - 0 goals
Petran is by far the overwhelming choice for the goalkeeping position, having held the #1 jersey almost permanently since the team played its first match. A superb shot-stopper, he is likely to consider each goal conceded as a personal insult. He played a key role in many of Kinitaria's victories in the previous qualifiers, and it is unlikely that he will be ousted from his position.

2. Karl Sala - LB - age 28 - Mi'ato - 95 caps - 1 goal
Sala has been an established member of the team right from their first game. An old-fashioned sort of left-back, he aims to make life hard for oncoming attackers, and will always stand his ground. He has been known to put in some harsh tackles, and this is shown by his disciplinary record, since he's been sent off eight times in 95 appearances.

3. Doran Lupei - CB - age 30 - Litora United - 100 caps - 4 goals (Captain)
The loyal, talented defender is great at marking, sticking closely to his man and breaking up attacks through the middle. He's proven himself to be the anchor of a Kinitar back line which has often been criticised for being fragile, and his performance will likely be crucial if the defence are to stick together and work as a unit. He's earned the captain's armband for both club and country through his loyalty, sticking with Litora United at a time when the club was going into meltdown.

4. Sebastien Sykora - CB - age 29 - AFC Damaciu - 90 caps - 2 goals
Maybe not the most technically gifted of defenders, Sykora has nevertheless established himself as a regular in the national side. He's no stranger to the occasional error, having cost Kinitaria crucial goals on at least two occasions during qualifying, and was part of the Damaciu side which slipped down the league in the latter half of last season. Despite this, he is versatile and can drift into new positions as needed, and he has also been known to notch a few goals himself, mainly headed efforts from corners.

5. Anton Spirlea - RB - age 27 - Mi'ato City - 98 caps - 0 goals
An accomplished team player and capable of performing under pressure, Spirlea is known for his excellent distribution of the ball, able to pick out a team-mate and start a counter attack with ease. He never panics when pressed and prefers to play his way out of trouble rather than hoofing the ball upfield. It's very rare to see him make a mistake and if he does have a flaw, it would be that he tends to let his complacency get the better of him. Expect to see him perform during qualification.

6. Sergiu Vacarestič - LW - age 26 - Avnani Athletic - 96 caps - 22 goals
Vacarestič is now an established member of the Kinitar squad, one of the first names on the teamsheet. He is an attacking-minded winger who slots perfectly into Kinitaria's formation, and he's just as likely to cut inside and have a go at goal as well as sending in a cross from the left - preferring to cross early and attempt to beat the offside trap.

7. Paulo Naoumov - DM - age 31 - AFC Farnworth (LCP) - 86 caps - 18 goals
Having been a divisive figure for many Kinitar fans, he's made a lot of progress towards winning them back with some fine performances for the national side. The versatile midfielder prefers pace rather than distribution, his speed allowing him to beat opposing defenders or get on the end of a cross with ease. In his preferred DM role, the determined Naoumov refuses to back down from a challenge and can often be seen making life worse for oncoming attackers.

8. Kristijan Preda - CM - age 29 - Jan Mayen Islanders (PIS) - 86 caps - 16 goals
Preda is an accomplished free-kick taker and can also head a ball well. After some time in the wilderness, he impressed Evinov in training and has won himself a spot in the first team, and rewarded the manager's faith in him with some fine performances. He might not be able to run a game himself, but his hard work and determination can make all the difference.

9. Lupan Mihalcič - SS - age 31 - Mi'ato City - 100 caps - 61 goals
One half of the greatest strike partnership in Kinitar football, Mihalcič has proven his quality over and over again. His best position is just behind the main striker - typically Sabčot - from which he can both score and create goals. He can time his runs perfectly to cut through the opposing defence, and prefers to hit a first-time shot rather than using a few valuable seconds to bring the ball under control. Certain to be hungry for more goals during the upcoming tournament.

10. Luka Sabčot - CF - age 30 - Mi'ato City - 107 caps - 84 goals (Vice-captain)
The man himself. The talisman, the hero, the legend of Kinitar football. Sabčot scores goals for fun, is an outstanding finisher and excellent in one-on-one situations. He's also a bit of a playboy and a joker, and likes to show off in an attempt to impress his many fans. In fact, some might say he's a bit too cocky. But then, with a record like his - which goes for both club and country - then he can afford to be. There's nothing he enjoys more - in footballing terms - than embarrassing a goalkeeper to set himself up for a tap-in from close range.

11. Duska Avramov - RM - age 29 - FC Serenberg - 18 caps - 3 goals
Avramov is untested at national level but is expected to perform well. He is an offensively-minded player, great with crossing, even scores a few, but he's not the most reliable if called upon to defend. He fits nicely into Evinov's system and, after proving himself in the qualifiers, will be looking to keep up this run of form during the Cup of Harmony.

12. Jaren Kozak - GK - age 29 - Mi'ato - 1 cap - 0 goals
Kozak is a decent keeper, he's yet to reach his peak, and he's helped his club Mi'ato to three straight top-two finishes. However, he can't get a look-in for the national team thanks to Evinov's staunch refusal to rotate his goalkeeper. He'll grab his chance if he can get it, but there's a good chance that it won't come this cycle.

13. David Topol - CB - age 22 - Mi'ato - 3 caps - 0 goals
Following an impressive breakthrough in the Premier Division, Topol has earned his place in the national team. He's not the tallest of players, but he makes up for it in determination and technical ability. He's remarkably calm under pressure, but don't expect him to be winning many headers. Definitely one for the future.

14. Milan Beskid - CF - age 25 - Universita Tirinthea - 29 caps - 9 goals
The talented young striker can finish like no other and functions best with a strike partner to spur him on to greater heights. He's not one for spectacular goals, instead, he's a consistent threat to opposition defences if he gets so much as a sight of goal within the penalty area. A reliable backup to Kinitaria's front two, and if they desperately need goals, might be thrown on to make up a 4-3-3.

15. Samuel Costica - CM - age 23 - Inovita - 23 caps - 1 goal
He's made a strong impact on the national team since being brought through from the youths in the 62 qualifiers. Not quite a first team player just yet, but if he does come on, expect him to try to use his pace to beat his marker before spreading the ball out wide to launch an attack. Distribution is definitely one of his strong points.

16. Polin Blanarič - RB - age 23 - Mi'ato - 4 caps - 0 goals
Blanarič was a bit of a surprise inclusion in the squad, but he's well-known to boss Evinov after they spent some time together at Taimanesta. He's a consistent if not spectacular player, and maybe Evinov's looking for a bit of consistency to bring stability to an often fragile Kinitar defensive line.

17. Zenel Halil - RW - age 23 - Mi'ato City - 6 caps - 0 goals
The tricky winger burst into the national consciousness following a run of form - and quite a few goals - in Mi'ato City's title-winning season. Now, after being drafted into the national side, he will be looking for opportunities to make his mark at a higher level. Most observers agree that Halil has a successful career ahead of them, but it remains to be seen if he can live up to the hype.

18. Ciprian Marin - CB - age 23 - Universita Tirinthea - 39 caps - 0 goals
Another former youth team player who has significantly impressed fans and manager alike since being given a chance in the 62 qualifiers. He stands up to onrushing attackers and uses his strength to win the ball. He has a tendency to dive into rash challenges and still has a lot to learn before becoming an established squad player.

19. Cyril Novak - LB - age 30 - Mowling City Tigercats (NSI) - 38 caps - 0 goals
Novak returned from a horror injury to become a solid and capable member of the Kinitar squad. The bruising left-back plays hard but fair with no quarter given to opponents, a great sense of timing allowing him to stop attacks dead with a perfectly executed tackle. He's scored a few goals from headers at club level, but has yet to trouble international goalkeepers.

20. Leon Cantacuzino - LM - age 29 - Litora United - 49 caps - 13 goals
Litora are lucky that they managed to keep Cantacuzino, because he is an effective all-round player, able to score and create goals in equal measure. When he plays, he'll be the team's corner taker, since he can swing in a good ball from either the left or the right. He prefers to stay wide, use the flanks and cross from the byline, and he can do this very effectively to slice open an opposing defence. Kinitaria's super-sub, in a way. He can change the direction of a game almost single-handedly.

21. Vadim Reneiči - CM - age 23 - Mi'ato - 8 caps - 0 goals
The youngest player to be named in this squad, and well known to Evinov from his time at Tirinthea before his big-money move to Mi'ato, Reneiči was part of Yurovič's famous youth team which held Polar Islandstates to a 0-0 draw away in the last qualifiers. Since then, he's shown incredible improvement and was snapped up by the cup holders in the last transfer window.

22. Dalča Nurmanov - FW - age 27 - Fryi Frêndê (FFD) - 20 caps - 4 goals
After being frozen out of the squad for some time, a range of impressive games in the Premier Division brought him back to the squad and secured a big-money move to Farfadillis. He's put in a good claim for a first-team place during qualification and will be looking to stay there in the Cup of Harmony.

23. Doriel Azinovič - GK - age 26 - AFC Damaciu - 0 caps - 0 goals
There's no denying that Azinovič is a capable keeper, but... what does a third-choice keeper actually do? I think they're just there to take up space. Moving swiftly on...

Kits

Left (home): The halved shorts have been ditched, and Kinitaria will take to the field in this smart new pinstriped look.
Center (away): Kinitaria will be wearing this striking black effort on their travels this cycle.
Right (goalkeeper): National goalkeeper Costin Petran wears an unusual white kit with one red sleeve.

Fans

Kinitar fans burn flares during the 4-1 Cup of Harmony victory over Audioslavia

Kinitar fans are known for their passion. They're also known for burning down a significant portion of the Tricorn Arena in Wight during the Cup of Harmony, although the FFK has naturally disavowed all responsibility, and supporters' groups maintain that the shoddy construction of the host stadium was to blame. Either way, lighting flares is a part of fan culture in Kinitaria, and there's always the possibility that a Kinitaria goal will turn the air thick with smoke. During the match, the team are typically roared on by 70,000 home fans screaming themselves hoarse non-stop throughout the game, which creates an intimidating atmosphere for visiting teams - although the fact that the aforementioned flares, among other things, are sometimes thrown at visiting players or fans might also contribute to this. The fights which characterise some of the most fierce club matches, such as the cross-capital derby between hated rivals Mi'ato City and Mi'ato, have yet to make their way to international level, although some say that this is merely because they haven't found the right spark yet. The FFK has been somewhat reluctant to take action against such matters, because "it's all part of the game, isn't it?"

95X AOCAF 39 MD1 RP

Obviously, somewhere in the Sports section:
Hold Onto Your Shirts, We're In for a Wild Ride
95X Opened their AOCAF 39 campaign in impressive fashion with a 1-0 victory over Maklohi Vai.

Although the final score may seem unimpressive, both teams played an even game for most of the match. As time started winding down and some of even the most die-hard fans started streaming for the exits in expectation of a 0-0 tie, Evan Edwards made a long pass kick up the field in attempt to find Xi Foureleven, who was closely defended nearly the entire way. The kick was way too long, though not impossibly high.

That didn't stop Foureleven, who was reading the pitch from her position to the left of the goal.

Realizing she was the intended recipient of the pass appearing to be off to the right and too high, she performed what could be described as a cartwheel of sorts; though instead of completing it, pumping her arms to elevate her five-foot-four body right as the ball passed overhead. Her deflection/kick puts 95X on the scoreboard in the 81st minute.

“Even I was stunned, the whole bench was stunned,” 95X Head Coach Melissa Trent commented following the match.

95X Appears to have Match Day 2 off, as a mysterious character, “$,” appears in the official schedule, with the other nations in Group B scheduled to play each other. The next scheduled game for 95X is against unranked Ibex, who did not see action in Matchday 1.

“Haven't seen it before,” Trent mused. “Could be an ancient Valanoran letter.”

All ages are for the opening day of AOCAF 39

The Ministry of Morale is pleased to announce the following roster for AOCAF 39:

Formation: 3-6-1
Style: +3
Coaches: André Vaillancourt-Bosquet, age 47, manager; Eliseo Crusellas (Aguazul), age 41, assistant manager; Phillippe Doucet, age 55, goalkeeping coach

Sol Kirkkegaard, the man who guided Polar Islandstates to their place in the sun, ended his third World Cup cycle with the Paladins by crashing and burning during the second half of qualifiers. His assistant André Vaillancourt-Bosquet was been appointed interim manager for the CoH, with the understanding that a strong showing would win him the job on a permanent basis. A third-place showing was enough to make him permanent head, despite an unfortunately loss to the Legal Eagles in the semifinals. Vaillancourt-Bosquet, who was first capped as a Paladin in WC57, has been involved with the side since he was 18. He is well known and generally well regarded by players, staff and administrators alike.

Vaillancourt-Bosquet has kept Sol Kirkkegaard's 3-6-1 formation, but will be introducing sweeping changes designed to make it more offensive-minded than it had been before. With the departure of William St. John de la Ware for the manager's job in Darmen, Vaillancourt-Bosquet has brought in Eliseo Crusellas from Aguazulian club CD Quemavilla. Crusellas brought the side up from the second tier to a shock second-place finish in the top division, followed by a seventh-place finish and a national Cup championship. Crusellas, perhaps sensing that he'd reached the limits of CD Quemavilla's potential, has gone international, tempted by the chance to help André Vaillancourt-BosquetPhillippe Doucet, whose combination of age-old goaltending fundamentals and New Age meditation and dietary practices is expected to help shore up a position that tends to give up goals in bursts.

KEEPERS

6 Bill Watterson, age 28, Unité Chateauguay
7 Michel Ormier-Berthelette, age 24, Philemon Mariners
79 Randall Jones, age 33, NM Patriotes

Bill Watterson has kept his job after coughing up 11 goals total against Boring Paradise and Wight during the second half of qualifiers. Vaillancourt-Bosquet brought on two stars from the NMSFL to push him. Both of these stars have stuck with the team, and fended off all challengers during camp to retain the same order they had during the CoH, Keepers guru Phillippe Doucet is an expert at keeping his goaltenders heads clear and in the game at all times, which will be important in Vaillancourt-Bosquet's new, more attacking look.

DEFENSE

9 Gaston St. John de la Ware, LB, age 22, Sorel Black Dragons, 0 goals
8 Henri-Réné Lavaillère, CB, age 27, Strike FC (Vilita), 0 goals
20 Kyle Jones-Leduc, RB, age 25, Alliance Sportif Ville-Marie, 0 goals
5 Sébastien Renaud, CB/LB/RB, age 26, CF Valdemont, 0 goals
11 Mitch Hopper, LB/RB, age 20, Mutual of Bloomington, 0 goals
39 Laurent Ledoux, CB/RB, age 23, City of New Montreal, 0 goals

The defense rallied nicely during the CoH after a dismal end to the Paladins' World Cup run. Gaston St. John de la Ware has withstood all the accusation of nepotism, and has retained his starting spot even after his dad left the NMS assistant head coach's job for the Darmen All-Greens' managerial position. de la Ware and Henri-Réné Lavaillère will have to continue playing at a star level to allow Vaillancourt-Bosquet's new offense to develop, especially since new right back Kyle Jones-Leduc will be expected to provide at least some offensive help out of the back line.

MIDFIELD

16 Cyprian Johnson, DMF, age 24, Moncton Sands Coyotes, 0 goals
13 John Powell Hughes, age 21, CMF, CF Angiers, 3 goals
99 Fred Nyguen, CMF, age 27, Philemon Mariners, 24 goals
95 Isidore Lorimier, LMF, age 22, CF Valdemont, 2 goals
17 Théodore Lemieux-Banfeld, RMF, 27, Sorel Black Dragons, 4 goals
15 Amelio Quagliata, Jr., AMF, age 21, City of New Montreal, 8 goals
14 André Lecavalier, DMF, age 28, Unité Chateauguay, 1 goal
2 Séraphin Boucher, CMF, age 20, Alliance Sportif Ville-Marie, 0 goals
4 Robert "Bobby" Bélanger, age 24, CMF/AMF, St. James Seagulls, 0 goals
26 Roger Baxter, age 23, LMF/RMF/AMF, Pride of Wolfe Harbor, 0 goals
22 Alain Hale, age 26, RMF/DMF, Moncton Sands Coyotes, 1 goal
48 Benoit Séguin-Godwin, LMF/RMF, age 23, Mutual of Bloomington, 0 goals

That's a lot of midfielders, and it's not like anyone ever reads these things anyway.

STRIKERS

94 Hugo Leclercq, CF, age 28, CF Valdemont, 53 goals
29 Chester Taylor, CF, age 19, Pride of Wolfe Harbor, 0 goals

Vaillancourt-Bosquet hasn't changed anything here. Hugo Leclercq is still great. Jean Labranche is toast, and has been replaced by a promising young chap who might, two or three years down the line, take Leclercq's job.

I hereby give my opponents permission to do anything that strikes their fancy, short of causing death or permanent paralysis to one of my players.
