Polkopia wrote:Finally finished this thing.Polkopian Host Bid(Image)One With MusicThe theme for the Polkopian host bid this year is 'One With Music.' This symbolizes the connection that many people around the world have with music. Whether you prefer pop, classical, ballads, rap, or even country, you have some sort of connection with music, and that's exactly what this bid is emphasizing. Throughout the Worldvision Song Contest's many years, there have been countless emotional entries, many of which touched the hearts of citizens everywhere. With this bid, we are going to embrace this connection with music wholeheartedly and expect our hearts to be moved by the songs presented in the Twenty Fifth Worldvision Song Contest.(Image)The City of PeetoWelcome to the city of Peeto! Peeto is currently the capital of the Allied States of Polkopia, and is the second largest city in the nation. Peeto is currently the center of Polkopian finances, law, entertainment, industry, and transportation. It is located in the state of 'Paeto', in which the city was named after. The city itself is currently home to about 12,879,000 Polkopian citizens, and has several districts including Hetten, Paccia, Malgolov, Palinia, and Croix. There are several ethnicity groups currently residing in the city, the largest one being Russian, however there are distinct Estonian, Greek, French, German, Italian, and French minority groups also living in the city. The city lies on the Salkav River, names after the city's founder, Roman Salkav, and it divides the city in two parts, one side being more residential and commercial, with the other side being more industrial. Pollution is not a problem, thanks to the Clean Air Act of 1989, which limits the emission of smoke from factories into the atmosphere.(Image)A City of HistoryFort Junivov, located 12 miles outside PeetoPeeto, much like the rest of Polkopia, has a rich history filled with violence, tyranny, and revolution, but also cooperation, beauty, and brotherhood. The city of Peeto was founded around 900 A.D., by a group of nomads whom were called the Pae. The Pae settled in present-day Polkopia and created a flourishing city-state which lasted for about two hundred years, until the neighboring tribes sacked the city in 1198. At the turn of the century, the tribes began to die off one by one due to a widespread disease that plagued the land. It didn't take long for the surviving people to rebuild and establish a fully-functional government system led by an absolute monarch. King Vladimir I ruled as the first king of Polkopia and ordered the construction of a new capital. A man by the name of Roman Salkav took the job, and ordered thousands of workers to construct the city. Three years after the project, the city of Peeto was finished. The city would later be the target of several attacks led by the many surrounding kingdoms, but, after six failed attacks led by various kingdoms, the Polkopians prevailed.
Many historical sights can be seen, such as Fort Junivov (Pictured above), six battlefields, four different castles, two palaces, the center square, which was the site of the First Polkopian Revolution of 1824, the remains of Yvonni de Palacia, and much, much more!(Image)A City of NatureThe Mountains of St. QuasaiOutlining the city of Peeto, are beautiful landscapes and scenery. Because of its unique location, the city of Peeto borders four distinct landscapes. To the north, Polkopia's famous 'Kalupsi Tundra' begins, and everybody is invited to take a bus tour through the terrain to get a closer view of the beautiful landscape of the land, which is dotted with several mountains and lakes. Many different species of plants and animals can be found here, and it's a joy for adventurers and nature-lovers everywhere! To the east, marks the beginning of the Kobi desert, which is the largest desert in Polkopia. Everyone is invited to embark on a thirty mile trek along a marked path in the desert, eventually leading back to the city. The trail is dotted with benches, water zones, and complimentary snack bars for those who need a little rest along the way. To the south, lies Polkopia's largest forest, The Allingway Forest, which is a dense coniferous forest, spanning a total of 1203.6 sq miles. Countless plant and animal species make their homes in these forests, making it one of the most visited national parks in Polkopia. Everyone is invited to a one-night stay in the Allingway Lodges, located withing the forest, where one can enjoy the beauty of nature surrounding them. Finally, to the west, Peeto is bordered by the St. Quasai mountain range. Guests are invited to gaze upon the beauty of these majestic mountains while they participate in various activities such as mountain climbing, hiking, or simply driving through the mountain range while gazing upon the awesome mountains around them.(Image)The Festival of Dances, which took place November 5th, 2012A City of CelebrationThe city of Peeto is famous for their many celebrations which take place nearly every month for about twelve hours. Within three days of their arrival, guests are able to experience the Festival of Lights, where the Peeto Historical District will be lit up in lights of every kind as street performers such as fire breathers, jugglers, Rave performers, and various musical groups take to the streets to entertain the masses. Many traditional Polkopian food and beverage stands will line up the edge of the streets, so guests will be able to try the vase selection of refreshments before them. Performers of the 25th Worldvision Song Contest will also be invited to take to the stage and perform their act in front of the crowd. Whether you are simply watching the magical performance, or fully participating in it, it will surely be a memorable experience for you.(Image)AccomodationAfter much consideration, it was finally decided that the R.J Aani Hotel would serve as the official hotel for the participants of the Worldvision Song Contest. Built in 1968, this five-star hotel has earned the name as Polkopia's most prestigious hotel, and many international celebrities have stayed here, including the former dictator of Polkopia himself! Within the hotel, you will find complimentary room service, a restaurant, a bar, a spa, and even an indoor swimming pool, however one cannot forget the exemplary staff team, who will provide great customer service to each and every performer. The cost of the hotel will be nonexistent, as the broadcasting company, NFTV, will cover all costs.(Image)TransportationPerformers will be able to travel to and from the stage on the Peeto Internal Monorail (Pictured above). Guests will ride in comfort as the monorail travels to the other side of the city to drop off the performers at the stage. Peeto International Airport is also located thirty miles from the hotel, so guests will have easy access checking into their hotel, and setting up for their big day. While in Peeto, one should note that the roads are often cluttered with heavy traffic, but don't let that stop you from getting from one place to another! Several forms of mass transit are located right near the hotel including buses, a fully-operational subway system, and a rail system, as well as the Peeto Internal Monorail, which all travel to every major landmark in Peeto within a 70 mile radius.(Image)The VenueThe Peeto Hall of Entertainment has been chosen as the venue to host the 25th Worldvision Song Contest. This venue is able to hold 73,000 people, who all have the choice of sitting on the first, second, or third story. Do not let the exterior fool you! Inside, the stage is located in the center of the crowd, and the seats all circle around the stage, until the next story up begins, and then it begins all over again until the third story has reached its maximum amount of spectators. The venue was the site for the Landa vy Polkopiya, which served as the method for National Selection for the Worldvision and World Hit Festival song contests.(Image)The StageThe stage is located in the very center of the arena, spanning a total area of 5026 ft². The stage is equipped with the highest form of technology currently available, and performers have the ultimate decision on which one(s) to use. Examples of such technology include motion picture, lasers, lights, water jets, small fireworks (reaching a total height of twenty feet), changes in elevation (One section of the stage is able to lift apart from the others. Can only be used in center, and designated parts along the outside), fire, smoke, lightning, and much, much more. Other performers are able to slide down to the stage using the ramps leading from the second backstage floor, down to the first floor near the stage. The possibilities are literally endless!(Image)]GreenroomThe greenroom is located behind the stage, away from the crowd. Performers are seated in a room, complete with room service and air conditioning, with easy access to the stage. The greenroom takes up a total of two floors, with the bottom floor being where the performers are seated, as well as the entrance to the stage, and the second floor being access to the stage using the ramps up above. Performers are also given basic necessities such as dressing rooms, restrooms, televisions (if needed), bar, and a great view of the stage.
Thank you.

Boris Yuriov, Mayor of Peeto

A Song For Zafira wrote:01 If Only
Description: A song of regret and willingness to reunite with a lover. The props that were used made it look like she's singing in a meadow, with a band behind her.
Sample of lyrics: If only / I could turn back hands of the clock / Hands of the clock, hands of the clock / I just wish / We could be together again / Oh, once again / Just like before
02 Excited
Description: A song expressing happiness and excitement. No props were used, only the band.
Sample of lyrics: I'm... / Excited, to see you / Delighted, to meet you / I just can't wait
03 Stayin' Home
Description: A song describing activities happening within a house. At the end, Zafira argues that "staying home is not bad either". Some of the 'activities' described in the song were acted out during the performance.
Sample of lyrics: It's been great to know / The outside world has much to offer / Though I'd like to go / But staying at home isn't so bad either
