What is Terra Firma?
Welcome to the Terra Firma regional recruitment thread. This is the new and improved Terra Firma, started over a year ago. New map, a couple of new nations, and brand new history. We need some dedicated, interesting, and mature players to help us create a bustling RP region dedicated to story telling and quality writing.
We are a story driven, realism focused modern tech setting roleplay region situated on an planet which has many parallels to Earth as we know it, but is, in fact, a totally separate and unique planet. As unique as one can make it, at any rate.
What are we attempting?
The goal of Terra Firma is to crate a realistic atmosphere for both nation and character driven roleplay with a focus on story telling and co-operative writing. We seek to create a unified a plausible world though the interweaving of national back stories and history, and to advance the world through co-operative storytelling and world-building. We're more concerned with story, and co-operation, than out-doing one another and trying to be the biggest badass in the region.
Terra Firma is rooted in reality, and is therefore a modern tech region. We do not play in the realm of future or post-modern technology, nor fantasy, magic, or future tech. Past tech RP's, as part of a nations back story and history, are acceptable.
What do we expect from you?
Mainly, we expect you to be an active participant in the region. In addition to actively contributing to the regional timeline hosted on IIwiki, we encourage members of start or join the RP's occurring within the region and to regularly visit our IRC channel, where much of our world building is conducted.
Anything in gray is open and claimable land. Some IRL technology has been claimed by various nations (those playing as counterparts have first access to tech, for example, Puzaks, playing a nation more akin to IRL Russia has been given access to Russia's technology) Of course, you're more than welcome to use your own designs too, so long as they belong in a firm MT setting.
So how do I join?
If you're interested in joining, post here, give us some vague idea of why you're interested and why you should be accepted, as well as RP examples, if possible. After review and acceptance, you may submit a claim for land.
