who is saying that my plane was in the same hangar as the other planes? Beside that, it's not just that easy to just blow up 'a couple' of planes. Especially if my plane - like RL Air Force One - is guarded 24/7 by an elite guard force, called the Secret Service. Think about that! :)

Did you hear anything on a mortar or rocket attack upon the hangar? I at least didn't hear anything like that. Probably meaning that such a thing didn't happen. ;) Beside that, like I said before, who says that my plane was in the same hangar or on the same tarmac as the others? So can we please stop speculating and spamming this thread with all these 'OOC' posts. :)

Imperial Palace 12:19 AM
Hammurabi, Deamonopolis

President Willows had grown tired of the chaos. He was hoping to indirectly investigate the attack, get to the bottom of it. Yet it appeared that all were focused on the exact thing that they should have been, getting their people out. The President realized that the only way he was going to get answers was from the outside looking in, and so he called off the deception; he got his mobile phone and called George, his Chief of Staff, "Hey, we can establish contact again, we didn't find anything here."

"Ah, neither did we, I let Admiral Ford in on the operation, Randolph too, he is her ex after all," his brother replied.

"Perfectly understandable, you can tell the others now; we'll hold a press conference once I get back and straighten things out," Willows sighed, "But we cannot let our people die in vain, if and when the second part of the negotiations commence, we need to start an investigation, we can our INTERPOL Bureau on it."

"But Cash, the international head says that they're shutting down end of this year, you really think now is the time to spend their resources?" George fretted.

"It's our Bureau, our people, besides, we can deputize them into the KBI if we need to, we have to seek justice for those aboard the planes, and I'm not entirely convinced it was indeed beduin terrorists," Willows let his suspicions out.

"Cash, what you're alluding to is not something to handle lightly, we need to think about this, consider our options," George was wary that his older brother's rashness might add fuel to the already raging fire.

The President breathed deeply and relaxed, "You're right, we'll make a decision when I get back; Roosevelt's team managed to get him out of here, I'll give Finnick the word that the few agents we have remaining here that we should do the same, I'm certain if the Noordeindians found a way out of here so can we, I'll be in touch," with that, he hung up and called Finnick over.

"Yes, Mister President?"

"I'm halting the op, we can't get things done in this mess and we've already lost too many people as it is; it's time to leave, round up the troops and maybe we can catch up to the Noordeindians before they leave, if not we'll either have to ask someone else or wait for home to send help," the order did not surprise Finnick in the slightest, she knew it would be hopeless, any plan made in the heat of the moment is.

She called the remaining fifteen agents in the palace and they began escorting the delegation out, "Let this be a little less labyrinthine than advertised," Fredricks gave voice to his somewhat futile hopes.

As the report of terrorist action came in, the two military guards accompanying the Silaran Lord Chancellor quickly leaped into action. Phones were out and calls began to made. All the while, Thomas remained calm, listening to the hustle the incident, newly brought to light, had caused. Finally, one of the men, a Navy officer, seemed to have finished his phone call and leaned in towards the Chancellor, "My Lord, I am told a Joint Special Forces unit can be here in an hour or so, if you give the order."

Thomas Call nodded to the officer, "Just an extraction for now, please. We shall discuss the matter of our airplane at a later date." Then, turning to the assembly as a whole, he stands, bows, and says, "It seems the time has come for us to part ways. The High Commonwealth hopes that these talks may reconvene with all haste and, when they do, I shall attend. Please, send the relevant information to my office when it is available, please."

That said, he and his delegation were quick to be escorted out of the building by their small Silaran military complement.
The Commander n Chief nor the IRIS personnel (Drekkan CIA/SS) will take the airport bombing lightly
as we were late, there may be a skirmish. I will accept casualties if you will; Nice twist though.
Im gone for 2 days (like anyone cares) and I come back to this... FUBAR of a thread that has nearly no place I can
jump back in. Ill just say the "Drekkans" were late. You guys type too much  :p

Air Component One
Deamonopolan Airspace
[u ] Near International Airport
Hammurabi
12:30 AM

The long flight to Deamonopolis was nearly over. The International Airport could
bee seen from the air. As most have never heard, much less, seen Deamonopolis, the few delegates were expecting a
country a bit more...modernized. vauge streams of smoke can be seen from the airport. The delegates took notice
and became squeamish again The Commander n Chief was called forward. He put down the tablet he was writing and
walked forward to the plane's cockpit. The door automaticallyopened.

Both pilots turned their heads and greeted the president before announcing their unfortunate news
"Sir, we are reporting signatures of smoke in the Airport's aircraft hangars. Also, no-one has been able to give
us a Sit-Rep. There may have been a possible terrorist attack on the other parties . What are your orders?"

CnC.Feroce rubbed his palm into his forehead, cursing under his breath. After about 10 seconds, he asked for the
microphone. He began his speech

"is this damn thing on?..alright sweet.
This is the Commander speaking. Today, we came to this far-off land in an attempt to negotiate with the Republic of Hippostania.
However, things may have not worked out as there may have been an attempt on our lives. We have yet know who is responsible for
this but I will tell you this... this place is no longer safe and we must land now. If we leave, what will that say about us as a Nation,
For those of you with weak constitutions, who isn't to say that we wont get shot down, or hit turbulence. It is now our duty to not
only secure our landing, but possibly, secure the area from this threat. We will fight if we have to and we will find the perpetrators who orchestrated this and they will pay for their malvolent acts or we die trying as this is the day our humble nation draws its line in the sand and lets
it's white, blue, and red colors to the political giants in the world and make history.
so say we all!"

International waters, 50 kilometres off the coast of Deamonopolis
The submarine aircraft carrier Parijs Kommune of the Yorkopolitan People's Navy was sailing in the international waters, just 50 kilometers off the south coast of the National Republic of Deamonopolis. Its commanding officer, an Afro-Yorkopolitan named Fred Smallberg, had just received a call from Johann Miém, who was present at the conference, to send one of the tilt-rotor aircraft to airlift them out and get them back to the ship. In the same convoy of the submarine aircraft carrier, there were plenty of battleships. "Mag ik de attensie van jou allen asseblief? (May I have your attention please?)" he said through the telecom, continuing "Onse delegasie in 't land Deamonopolis is in gevaar, wy moeten zy halen. Maak asseblief de kantel-rotor helikopters klaar kameraden, dan sal wy onse delegasie ophalen uit 't land! (Our delegation in Deamonopolis is in danger, we must get them. Please ready the tiltrotor helicopters, comrades, then we shall get our delegation out of there!)" he said. In the hangar, massive amounts of navy soldiers readied the tilt-rotor helicopters of the type XCE-330 Libellé, named after the dragonfly, which were able to have their rotors tilted to being horizontal to become a plane as soon as they had enough speed.

"Laat 't skip boven water kom, dan kunnen wy de XCE-330 Libellés lanseren van 't dek, (Let the ship surface, then we can launch the XCE-30 Libellés from the deck)" Fred said, as the submarine started its ascent upwards from 40 metres under the surface to above it. The submarine's massive command tower surfaced after a minute, and its air-deck soon followed. "Open de luiken van 't dek en laat de helikopter bovenkomen, kameraad (Open the hatches of the deck and let the helicopter come up, comrade)" he said. The flight deck's massive hatches opened, and the lift inside the hangar, carrying the helicopter, started ascending upwards. Its crew got into the helicopter and readied it, the submarine idly floating about in the waters. "Almaal gereed da? (Everyone ready there?)" Fred asked, to which the crew's captain answered "Ja, wy zyn klaar voor de vlugt! (Yes, we're ready for the flight!)" The engines of the helicopter were started up, with the captain messaging "Motoren aan! (Engines on!)" The rotors could be heard roaring as the engines were now started up. "Klaar voor lansering! (Ready for launch!)" the captain said to Fred. "Ok, u kunt lanseren! (Ok, you can launch!)" Fred said, and the rotors started firing up to rise the vehicle into the air. The vehicle lifted into the air. "Lansering sukses! (Launch a success!)" the captain said. The helicopter then disappeared into the distance, off to Hammurabi to save the delegation.

Rest of the post comes later today.

Bremer got out a satellite phone, and dialed up a number, connecting him to President Jonathan Quigley.

"Bremer here..."

"Terrible, actually. Not only did the Hippostanians refuse all our demands, but now the airport has been attacked..."

"The Canvatica is sending helicopters, so we'll be fine. I'm not sure about the airport though. Grunderson is a good pilot, and I don't want to lose him, or anyone else with that plane..."

"No, not much else has been going on. Gordano has offered to host a new conference. Hopefully their country is more stable. This place needs a regime change..."

"No, now wouldn't really be ideal. I'm still here, remember? Perhaps another time. Anyway, there's a bunch of irrelevant people here, like the folks from Delvoir, who really have no business here. Everybody has their own personal agendas. I don't know if it would even be worth it to go to the next negotiations..."

"Well, if it's up to me, I'll think about it. I've got nothing else to do while I wait here..."

"Righto. I'll contact you as soon as I'm on the Canvatica. Bye."

Bremer hung up and put the phone away, then walked back over to where Pemberton was sitting, playing Tetris on his tablet. "Just spoke to Jon," Bremer said. "He's mad as hell about the airport attack."

"That's not surprising," Pemberton said. "Mmm," Bremer murmured in agreement.

"What does he want to do about it?" Pemberton asked.

"He's not sure. The Canvatica could send a strike group, but that's full of potential complications. The Morridanes might be organizing something. He wants me to look into that.

"What of the Deamonopolisians?

"Don't trust them at all. They can't seem to un-fuck this themselves, so it's up to us."

"I suppose so. About 15 minutes till the choppers arrive."

"Righto."

Bremer slid on over to the Morridane PM and inquired about the airport. "Have you a plan to retake the airport? We're prepared to defer to you since you have more boots on the ground."

HMSGL Vigilant moved into place, the carrier slipping into Deamonopolitan waters. On its deck, 4 large transport helicopters, armed with machine guns and ready to move in, were fired up and loaded with Fleet Air Arm personnel. Unbeknownst the Deamonopolitans, as Blackwell had removed his gun, he had also activated a distress beacon.

The helicopters made their way toward Hammurabi, to hopefully pick up Blackwell, his entourage and anyone who wished to come get him. Even if it meant blasting through the Palace to get them out.

"Right, how many of us are armed? We need to get out of here and set up some kind of landing zone for all our prospective escorts! No matter the local situation, a lot is riding on this conference and I have no intention of this turning out badly. My escort will have some room for those who haven't got one, but we need to find some kind of large courtyard!"

Blackwell had done his duty, as traditional for a royal, to spend a year after university in the Armed Forces. He'd been in some sticky situations, worse than this distraction, but he had no intention of letting the situation worsen. None at all.

OOC: first it was a single carrier and now its a whole battlegroup? Don't overdo this people. Don't forget that Deamonopolis us a huge subcontinent sized country, how come size and scale somehow change with circumstance when the goings get tough? Stay consistent and don't act as if you can fold time and space to get in and out the city before supper. More IC stuff will be posted tomorrow, kinda busy now.

IC: Government Communique

"The government of Deamonopolis is shocked and appalled by the terrorist criminals who have attacked Hammurabi International Airport. However, we notice an absurd presence of foreign vessels near or within Deamonopolis territorial waters. This is quite unnecessary given that we have full control over the situation and our brave troops are currently engaged with the terrorists at or near the airport. We have given permission for helicopters to enter Deamonopolis airspace to evacuate their respective delegates, but we shall not tolerate a single jackboot on our soil. Deamonopolis is more than capable to handle the situation on our own and every soldier who steps onto our ground shall be treated as a hostile foreigner and will be incarcerated as any other criminal element within our fair and just society.

The government of Deamonopolis is a most generous entity and will give all delegates' operations 48 hours to evacuate with the aid of the government of Deamonopolis, our heroic armed forces and various secret agencies. Any and all foreign intrusion that is not directly related to evacuation will be treated as such, foreign soldiers that enter our country without explicit permission from President-for-Life Sayyid Qutb will be denied entry. We repeat ourselves because it's something that bears continued repetition: the situation is under control and Deamonopolis security forces are more than up to the task to handle this situation. Evacuation helicopters are given free entry into Deamonopolis airspace but anything beyond that is off limits and not a matter of discussion."

The Delvoirian delegation fretted until the Duc's communication device buzzed again. "The Mauvais-Pont is outside," He said simply, and they all rushed from the doors. The Duchesse scurried along as fast as her chubby legs could carry her. The men held onto their tricorne hats, the woman balanced their heads to keep their wigs upright. They followed various other delegations as they went, making sure they did not get lost in the labyrinthine passages of the Palace all alone. When they finally found sunlight, a single, nondescript black helicopter sat on the lawn of the palace, far apart from the chaos occurring elsewhere. Around it stood two men, in simple, non-baroque attire. They wore black vests, a single silver stripe denoting their rank, with black, shining boots, dark sunglasses and bright white berets.

The helicopter was roomy inside, with leather upholstery and enough room for the delegation to fit comfortably, including the Comte and the Marquis' cane. Once they were inside and the helicopter had taken off, the Duc's phone buzzed again. It was the King, Louis XIX, unsurprisingly. The Duc put it on loudspeaker so that the whole delegation could speak.

"What a disastrous situation," Remarked the King after a moment. His voice made the Baron quiver a little bit. It was authoritative and deep, a booming, resounding voice that really inspired fear and respect.

"Yes, Your Majesty, it was somewhat unstable," Replied the Duc after a tense moment. "The Yohannesian delegation really ought to have picked somewhere with more political stability,"

"The Palace was nice enough, Your Majesty," Added the Duchesse de Pinée. "Perhaps a bit ostentatious at points, though. I did enjoy that exotic architecture,"

"Just goes to show," Interjected the Marquis, half-slumped over his cane. The run through the Palace really seemed to have taken it out of the old man. "What happens when a mad dictator other throws a King, Shah, Emperor!"

"I would agree, Lord-Admiral," Came the King's voice from the phone. "What was achieved at the conference?"

"Nothing, Your Majesty," Answered the Vicomtesse de Bonté-Lorraine with a sour frown. "The Hippostanian delegation were very rejective of the Yohannesian demands,"

"Did we achieve anything from it?" Asked the King in quick succession.

"No, Your Majesty, we earned nothing but the dislike of a few socialist and republican delegates from various nations," She answered after a moment. "We attempted to argue against the repeal of the anti-Communism laws,"

"Very well. The Maria-Antonia is some fifty miles off the coast of this nation. We did not want to infringe on their waters. Once you arrive, we will have you shipped back to Mallis-Royale as soon as we can. I am most thankful to you all for having to go to this unstable, Islamic dystopia for me, and you shall all be rewarded thus," The line went dead. It was rare for the King to say goodbye.

The Klentians had a bit of trouble trying to leave the palace. They kept finding different passageways and kept going around in circles. With the majority of them being former military, this farce was embarrassing, "We have had elite training in navigation and tracking, and we still can't get out of here? The Noordeindians did it, so have others, what's our problem?" Gerrald was getting rather impatient.

"Sir, they had more people than we did and for all the virtues of the Presidential Guard, our training is more focused on combat action than security, hence we worked with the Noordeindian Secret Service," Agent Finnick explained as she lead the group down a hallway.

"That'll change," the President remarked.

The President was surprisingly calm for what the circumstances were. He had served in the Army in the War Against Jlop and in every conflict since, in one way or another, and learned to adapt to any situation. Still, it had been about three years since the man had heard the sound of gunfire; one would assume he would have been slightly unnerved, but he kept his cool, "The Guard needs to focus on security just as much as combat, he continued.

"Yes, Sir, but what we need to focus on right now is getting out of this bejeweled maze, keeping you out of the line of fire, and catching up to the Noordeindians so that we're not stuck here," Finnick seemed stressed, but her instincts wrangled in her fear.

One of the agents called for the group to halt, "I think I hear something."

"What is it, Kode?" Finnick was quick to learn anything her agents could tell her.

"I think I'm hearing wind, I'm not sure, can everyone be quiet for a moment?" Agent Fred Kode requested.

The group fell silent as they listened; they heard a whistle of wind coming from one direction, "Wind means outside, let's go!" Finnick ordered.

The Klentians started trotting toward the source of the sound in hopes of escaping the 'labyrinth'.

"Well, the shit really hit the fan this time, eh?", said the senior delegate, Robin Gunther, to the other representatives from Falsea. Ever since the announcement that Hammurabi International Airport had been bombed and all the aircraft of all delegates present in this conference were probably up in flames right now, the Falsean delegation remained isolated to themselves, seemingly just standing in the corner but planning an escape nonetheless.

What few paramilitary soldiers that protected the Falseans were already sent out a few minutes ago, to search for a way out of this surprisingly large and complex palace. They returned about half an hour later, exhausted and the Falsean delegation began to follow them out. They were amongst the last people to leave the place and as they made their way to the passage discovered by the elite soldiers, they finally made it out.

As usual, the sun was shining above the sky. It was a hot day and chaos was brewing everywhere. A single Mi-26, renowned for it's massive size, was parked in the gardens of the palace and as the delegation walked as hurriedly as they could towards the military helicopter, Stephens shot one last glance at the place.

"Please remind me to never go to Islamic countries again, will you, Gunther?", he exclaimed loudly. The delegation nodded solemnly in agreement as the helicopter began to leave the area towards the coast, where the FMV Lenin, a small carrier of the Falsean Navy, was awaiting.

Nationwide, East Klent

The public was told that terrorists had allegedly attacked the airport and that there were mass casualties. They were told that the Klentian delegation was safe and sound and on their way to a secure location. News anchors informed them, via reports from government officials, of the conditions witnessed by the delegates in Deamonopolis.

Because of this, the media and the public were oddly more upset with that than with the attack itself. It confounded the politicians who had expected mass hatred for the terrorists or even the government of the hermit nation, for it was not fully confirmed who was in fact the perpetrator of the attacks.

One official also focused on the internal issues of Deamonopolis, Jarred Stevens, Delegate to the World Assembly, who had been delayed in his departure to the talks. He drafted a speech on the spot and went to the multimedia room within Williamsburg, D.K. International Airport and practically ordered a cameraman for TNN to film and broadcast him...

"How can they have a conference of peace and good will in a place where the people suffer daily as they live in dilapidation and squallier? How can they hold their heads up high and invite heads of state when they have some of if not the worst public heath issues in the world? How can we call ourselves as a nation of greatness and democracy when we turn a blind eye as these people constantly abuse their power at the expense of its own people? How can we associate ourselves with nations that do the same?

Yohannes has known of the conditions and they have done nothing. Nothing to aid them. Nothing to bring them out of poverty. Nothing to stop the regime from abandoning its people. And by sustaining our relationship with them, we have done nothing. We had a responsibility to the oppressed and downtrodden and threw it away; we trampled it into the dust. We cannot afford to brush this off. This is a stain on our national pride and our international reputation.

We are Klentians. We are Klent. We don not turn our backs to genocide, to violations of human rights. We don't do that. Yet we have. The first step to solving a problem is admitting that you have one, well, we do. We have lost our sense of justice that we have gained through decades of battling the forces of tyranny. Morris Williams did not stand on that hill and speak of deceit an appeasement, no, he spoke of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. He spoke out against the monarchy that had been there for us for centuries that had turned their backs on us. He did not die to please the Cubans, Henry McCurter did not fight on the streets or die in that bunker for the benefit of the Mostrovites. I fought for the cause of freedom for all in Noravea and so did the President.

Your dig your own hole, and my fellow Klentians, we have dug a vast and encompassing hole. We have engulfed ourselves in a scandal here, a scandal of the human heart. We have turned down the most needy, and we don't do that; we are Klent. We have exposed ourselves to immense ridicule by the international community. We are no better than Chancellor Townsend and his government, we deserve to be condemn as well. This is the epitome of hypocrisy.

What we need to do is absolve ourselves, absolve ourselves of the sins we have committed against our fellow man. The second phase of these negotiations is not only an opportunity for us but for all those involved to confront their demons and rectify their souls. We can help these people just as much as we can help those affected by the abhorrent bill passed by the Hippostanian Parliament. We are Klent, we can do this.

We need to be the leaders of our peers and set the standard for the world. We are in a position where we can be leaders where we can change the world for the better and we can do so now, in this moment. We profess the truth, that all people are created equal and should be treated as such and that this truth shall set one free. We need to follow through on this promise.

I expect to be working closely with President Willows and the other delegates as we head into the next phase of the peace process, here we can express our concerns and put into action ways to address those concerns. We are the leaders of men, we should act as such. We are Klent."

TNN affiliates all over the country broadcasted Stevens' speech and TNN International Service did the same for the world. Pundits and analysts immediately discussed and debated the meaning and purpose of the speech. Within hours it was given a name, 'We Are Klent'. Not the most creative title put forward by the Klentian media but it stuck and was referred to by the same name when being discussed by those in power.

They realized what they had done, for the most part, but they also realized the public relations firestorm that one man had just caused them. What scared them even more was the fact that the President was inclined to fall in line with him.

Re: Hippostania Peace Conference

Amidst all the confusion and utter chaos around him, Nicholas has spotted Townsend's head amongst the dishevelled delegation crowds, and quickly sensing his one and only opportunity thus presented so far, the young Yohannesian chief delegate hastily approached the Hippostanian High Chancellor himself.

Surrounded completely by the frantic men and women now screaming orders and notifications, and the whispers of many more, Nicholas swiftly brandished and shown in full view for Townsend the required signature spot showing his final agreement to at least one of the three demands presented by Her Majesty the Queen of Alexandria and Empress of the nineteen countries.

"Only one... Chancellor Townsend. Only one. Your choice, your decision. It will now lie in your hand."

The Imperial Palace, Hammurabi
The delegation from Yorkopolis had, since the calling of the tilt-rotor aircraft from the submarine aircraft carrier, been moving outwards in the labyrinthine palace. It was hard to find their way out, corridor after corridor they tried, again and again reaching dead-ends. "Ik wist dat 'k dit nie kon vertrouwen! (I knew I wouldn't trust this!)" Muller yelled to his back, where the delegates were behind him. They found a stairway leading upwards, to the second floor, but it still wasn't high enough. "Johann, kan jy kontakt opnemen met 't kantel-rotor vliegtuig? (Johann, can you contact the tiltrotor aircraft?)" Muller asked Johann, who grabbed a radio, and started talking through it, "Hallo, dit is Johann Miém vanuit 't Keiserlyke Paleis in Hammurabi, hoor jy my? (Hello, this is Johann Miém from the Imperial Palace in Hammurabi, do you hear me?)" he said. Out of the radio, the commander of the aircraft responded "Ja, wy horen jy luid 'n duidelyk (Yes, we hear you loud and clear)." Miém responded, "Waar zyn jy nu? (Where are you now?)" to which the commander responded, "Wy zyn nu denk 'k boven Hammurabi, nog 'n paar minute en dan zyn wy da (We're now I think above Hammurabi, a few minutes and we'll be there)" he continued, "Naja, 'k denk dat wy naby zyn, 't sein van jullie is naby (Well, I think we're close, your signal is close to us)." Johann responded "Ok, dan sullen wy jullie sien, waar gaan jullie ons haal? (Ok, we'll see you then, where are you going to get us?)" the commander responded, "Naja, 'k denk in 't binnehof van 't Keiserlyke Paleis, wy sien jullie daar! (Well, I think in the courtyard of the Imperial Palace, we'll see you there!)" Johann responded with a short "Ja, ok (Yes, ok)" and then put the radio back in his pockets. They resumed walking, got down a stair, and finally reached a corridor leading out into the courtyard. In the sky could be seen the massive aircraft. Once the aircraft was above the courtyard, its rotors tilted vertically, and it started approaching the ground. When close to the ground, it turned its tail towards the delegation, and the hatch through which cargo supplies and other things could be delivered opened. A soldier arrived and helped Muller and the rest of the delegation into the aircraft, after which they were taken to the passenger's seats and the hatch closed. The aircraft then quickly rose and, when high enough, tilted its rotors back horizontally, and then flew off, off to the Parijs Kommune submarine aircraft carrier.

Blackwell and his entourage, for all they were worth, had just proceeded to follow the Yorkopolitans out of the Palace, considering they had no real sense of direction. They met with their helicopters by the time they had left the Palace and flew out. No way were they ever coming back to his catastrophe.

The fight took a long time before they finally got back to the ship. They'd been forced to abandon the plane at the airport, so they'd be needing to procure a new aircraft for the King.

It would be then, from the bridge of the Gordano-Lysandian Carrier, that he would send this broadcast to each country involved, to be sent on to each delegate.

"Ladies and gentlemen, unfortunately the situation in Hammurabi makes it impossible to continue the conference there. Thus, we must move on to the second leg of the Conference, which you may know I'm hosting. Godspeed, friends."

East Klent wrote:"How can they have a conference of peace and good will in a place where the people suffer daily as they live in dilapidation and squallier?

From the desk of Idriss Mostafani, 9th Baath Party Chairman

"What is this, a thinly veiled threat to our nation, or a wake up call for the self-righteous of the world to gather and condemn Deamonopolis? To say our country rejects democracy by appointing a President-for-Life? A very black and white vision. To ridicule a man who is regarded by the people of Deamonopolis as their teacher, a poet, a benevolent and caring man, to ridicule our beloved Sayyid Qutb is to walk apart from the truth. President-for-Life Sayyid Qutb, a man who is doing everything in his power and wisdom to raise the living standard of all citizens abuses his power. What lunacy!

Yes, we are fighting a war against Jidahists and Salafists in our nation, they threaten our freedom as much as the Shah and his criminal family have taken from our nation. Their loot collection was called the Imperial Treasury, the lands of Deamonopolis their personal domain. A similar pattern emerges; as a government we battle demons who want to take everything away from us in the name of Jihad and ideological purity. But according to the standards of East Klent, we must honor our demons with praise and shower them with humanity -- at what price humanity when the enemy is not even capable of humanity?

To accuse Yohannes of neglect, which is patently false to be honest, is to willfully absolve yourself of wrongdoing. You have come to this conference, you were willing to travel to Deamonopolis, where were your protests, your demonstrations, against these supposed "human rights violations"? The hypocracy you put on display here makes you the laughing stock of the international community and if said community declares you a pariah for your hypocricy then so be it, dare I say you even deserve it? Yes, because ignorance of your own propaganda is laughable. It is you who has constructed a web of flagrant lies about our country. In this broadcast, you craft an image of a country that is not worthy of existence. So tell me, if you can, how will you solve our problems? How are you going to enforce your morale and concepts of law and order onto us? By force? Is that the only language the warmongers can think of? A pitiful position you hold; intellectually dishonest at best, dangerous and fruitless at worst.

By helping people you surely mean "helping yourself" to the grandest of all treasure troves the Robber Barons of the outside world have at their fingertips: a nation of natural resources that will not be plundered for the benefit and profit of the elite few who pull the strings from behind the curtains. Your standard of the world consists of looting the poor, unraveling of the social fabric all in the name of "progress", rather, progress for your country is inherently to the detriment of the rest of the world. The very fact Deamonopolis has been successful in its implementation of Radical Theory* is a thorn in the side of many would-be looters, and that includes East Klent with its absurd morals and ludicrous world standards! Imagine if we all followed their and their morals, this world would have been destroyed many times over, just in terms of environmental collapse.

If being Klent stands for enforcing your will onto others then please, you can be Klent. And we? We bid you a blessed day and want none of it."

[OOC: Let's just keep to this one, so that we can put it together as one story. As the host, what you can do now is to post something along the style of what Deamonopolis did here [ link here ], to explain to us what your nation is like. However, let's wait first for Hippostania to post something? We don't want to leave the main participant of this thread out.]

Nationwide, East Klent

As the debate over the meaning of Stevens' speech continued, those in government knew of the response sent by Deamonopolis. Many of them attempted to block President Willows' renomination of him as WA Delegate for this very reason; they knew he would cause an international incident, what with his firebrand personality.

Yet his appointment was approved by the Senate and so he remained, and now he had just criticized a government's domestic policy exposing Klent to the exact same criticism from that government. Deamonopolis' response did not deter Stevens in the slightest, and neither did the fact that he was still marooned at the airport. Granted, he did realize that the President and his entourage were still in Deamonopolis so he decided to turn down the rhetoric a bit before going in front of a camera again...

"Mister Mostafani, did I say that the use of force was necessary? No. Did I say for you to embrace your enemies? No. The people consider their leader as their teacher and so on because they know nothing else; they have no access to information and they are living in abhorrent conditions. On the note of hypocrisy, I even stated my government's failure in responsibility toward sending envoys to a nation where we knew people were suffering at the hands of their government.

Yes, I did call on the world to condemn you, and I apologize, that was said out of pure emotion. I want your nation to own up to its flaws and open up a dialogue with your people on how to improve upon those flaws. I say the best solution is always a peaceful and diplomatic one; I have been through the fog of war too many times to even think of uncomprehending it as an instrument of change, anyone who says otherwise is nothing more than a complete and utter fool.

What I meant in saying 'We are Klent' was that the Klentian people have a strong sense of morality and compassion. We cannot bear the sight of suffering, that is why our legislature routinely and unanimously pass laws improving the lives of the most unfortunate. With the second phase of the peace negotiations, I hope to give you advice on how to improve the plight of your people on your own, I do not recommend foreign involvement.

I look forward to speaking with the leaders of Deamonopolis in the future and assisting them in their struggle against poverty, hunger and 'terrorism'. I also look forward to working with the leader of the other involved nations to achieve a lasting peace in Hippostania. Thank you."

The distributors at TNN went to work again spreading the footage to every outlet.

This time, many were criticizing Stevens of being a coward by not ridiculing Deamonopolis even further, others commended him on his calm a mature response. Nothing was certain, and so everyone waited for any other reply from Deamonopolis and any news regarding the evacuation of the Klentian delegates from the palace.

12:35 A.M. Local Time
Hammurabi, Deamonopolis

The agents of the Presidential Guard continued to lead the delegates to what they hopped was the way out by following the sound of what might have be wind, "You better be right about this Kode, otherwise we're responsible for trapping the entire head of the executive branch in an impenetrable hell hole," Finnick reminded Kode of the dire straights that they found themselves in.

"Don't worry Ma'am, this isn't New Edom, we'll be out of here in no time," Kode's reference to their past mission did noting to relax Finnick, if anything it made her more anxious.

"What's that up ahead?" one of the other agents called out.

Everyone turned their attention in the direction the agent pointed, "A door, thank God!" the Vice-President exclaimed.

The door was immense; even if four of them stood on one another's shoulders, they still would not reach the top. They did not care, it was a way out, and so several of the agents went to pull the door open. When they failed, the delegates lended a hand themselves, and together they managed to pry the goliath open.

The fresh air excited everyone and they took a moment to inhale deeply, circulating the crisp outdoor air through their lungs, "Great, we're out, now we've got to run to vehicles and catch up to the Noordeindians, c'mon!" the jubilant Commander-in-Chief did not give his people the chance to relax.

To be honest, they could not afford to relax, the Noordeindians were their escape and they had to get their avoiding contact with terrorists. They found the parked motorcade, jumped into the respective SUV's and limousines and pushed off for the hangar. The night was no where near over.

Hammurabi Int. Airport - Monday January 14th - 12.30 AM

Afther the motorcade breached through one of the barriers - at an entry gate to the tarmac - the secret service agents inside the hangar decided to slowely open the huge doors of the building. Under both enemy- and defensive fire the presidential motorcade entered the tarmac at full speed as they tried to get into the hangar as quickly as possible. From upon the rooftop of the hangar a Secret Service tactical assault team had already taken out a few enemy combatants, using their sniper rifles. Unfortunetaly there was no one who knew how many of them were still out there, trying to kill them.

The entire ride from the gate of the aiport to the hangar didn't even take a minute and a half, however for everyone inside the cars it felt like hours. Like the agents on the ground had already said before, they could indeed hear the sound of gunfire. Afther several evasive manoeuvres the Presidential limousine and the rest of the motorcade got into the building and the agents immediatley closed the doors of the hangar behind them.

Agents carrying MP5's and FN P90's established a direct perimeter around the cars, before even opening their doors. Special Agent-in-charge Benson got out of the president his car and opened it's backdoor. President Roosevelt and Dr. McNally got out and ran up the stairs - while being flanked by two agents - and got onto the plane. They were soon to be followed by Secretary Wilson, Ambassador van Amstel and the rest of the delegation. In the meanwhile the pilots in the cockpit had already started the engines of the plane as they prepared to get out of this situation. Finnaly the airplane stairs were removed and the agents once more opened the huge doors of the hangar.

While being escorted by an suv - with onboard another tactical assault team - the plane taxied as fast as possible to the nearest runway. While probably being fired upon with both rifle- and small arms fire the plane finnaly reached the nearest runway. Luckelly this wasn't your average Boeing 757 but a state of the art C-32 Military version. The pilots lined up the aircraft in front of the runway and pushed their throttle to the max. The plane made a steap take off, trying to avoid possible enemy positions at the end of the runway.

The suv with the tactical assault team onboard got back to hangar. The driver had to pull of quite a few stunts and make some evasive manoeuvres as well before he got back into the hangar. Now it was up to those Secret Service Agents - whom were left behind - to get the presidential motorcade back into the Boeing C-17 Globemaster that was previously also used to get the motorcade and the RNSS 'advance team' into Deamonopolis.

By this time 'RNAF One' had already reached a save altitude and was on it's way to another allied country within the Greater Dienstad area. During the whole conference there had been a presidential decoy plane sitting on the tarmac of an undisclosed airport, in an undisclosed nation, in case of an emergency. The reason for getting the President and his delegation onboard of the decoy plane was because the pilots didn't want to take too many risks using this plane. It might be a military version of the 757 they were flying but they knew that their plane might have suffered damage at Hammurabi International Airport.

In the meanwhile President Roosevelt sat in his chair of his onboard office, together with with the Secretary of State and National Security Advisor, Dr. McNally, as they talked about the failed conference and the attack on the airport. On the speakerphone they also talked to Vice President Flaherty, the Chairman- and other Chiefs of Staff, both the directors of the Secret Service and the NCIB and the President his Chief of staff; Jimmy Kennedy, whom were still inside of the situation room.

Everyone was, of course, relieved that the delegation had made it out of Hammurabi. They, however, remained suspicious of the entire situation. Especially because the intelligence satellites had picked up some contradicting evidence, like these so called 'jihadist' not speaking arab in their transmissions but some other language. All of a sudden President Roosevelt realised that his friend, President Cash Willows, could still be trapped inside the palace: 'Guys did anyone hear something from President Willows and do we know if he and his delegation got out already?' he asked.

General Daniel Cragen - whom was recently promoted to become Roosevelt his new Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff - reacted: 'No sir we have not yet been able to confirm that President Willows and his delegation have gotten out of the building.' he said: 'Neither have we been able to get in contact with Williamsburg DK, mister President.' The Vice President added to that. 'God damn it!' Roosevelt reacted: 'We give them half an hour to get to the airport, General. Therafther we have to pull our people out of there. Some of the agents onboard have luckelly only sustained minor injuries and I don't want to lose anymore of them today. Not under my watch!'

Back at Hammurabi International Airport the agents and Air Force Crew did everything within their capability to not only defend the hangar but also to get those vehicles safe into the plane. As the time passed more agents withdrew from their positions and got back to the plane. All of a sudden a message got in on the plane's radio: 'Do not lose any ground for at least another half hour. The Klentian delegation might be on it's way to the airport for evacuation. You wait for them for half an hour, thereafther you are ordered to depart from Deamonopolis as fast as you can...'
