After extensive combat on Ramam Primus saw orbital vessels incapable of delivering payload to sub-aquatic fortifications and guerilla-occupied habitat-domes in the planet’s oceans, XenoNavy set about developing liquid-surface and sub-liquid vessels in an era where many admirals consider them pirate-hunters at bets and expensive toys at worst. Primarily deployed in a defensive nature on primarily aquatic worlds to defend against domestic piracy, train XenoNavy personnel, and serve as supplements to planetary defense forces, Blue Water vessels have been tested and found capable of orbit-drop insertion, allowing for surprising and brutal attacks through land-locked seas and lakes as well as in larger oceans.

Do you have the death penalty? Yes. For treason, murder, torture, slavery, and various other “serious” crimes, the death penalty can be delivered swiftly, often in the very courthouse the sentence is given.
What is the speed limit? Speed limits vary based on transportation type, local geography, data collected from local XenoAdmin infrastructure sensors, and regional WDS / CSS enforcement. Integration of vehicle auto-drive systems with XenoOS in most major metropolitan areas allow for very high relative speeds, but the existence and prevalence of manual-only vehicles results in manual-only roads, airlanes, etc. These are at much lower speeds than auto-routes, and are often only used for domestic transit, leaving high-speed travel to freight, long-distance on-planet travel, and other large-scale transportation enterprises.

While 'minor' offences such as groping and public indecency in the wrong Social Level zone go mostly unpunished, rape and repeated offense (mostly against megacorporate officers and government personnel) usually result in servitorization or other forms of forced rehabilitation and restitution.
Is your country's/culture clothing optional or mandatory? Optional, but frowned down upon unless the nudists’ body is at least relatively in shape. As the ultra-wealthy have means to ensure they remain the Aphrodites and Adonises of society, this is a relatively typical form of transhuman class stratification.

As a culture-holding nation, Xenohumanity inevitably developed casual terms and colloquialisms to refer to a wide variety of things, some visitors and foreigners will be confused by the slinging of lingo. As the users of these terms are typically middle-class or lower, and often active members of the 'core-culture', more than a few are also sexual in nature, aggravating the problem. Below are a few common words and gestures to know and possibly avoid using around Xenohumans.

SLANG

Brary: Derived from 'library', libraries being the only 'true public spaces' in Todularian society. A snide qualifier for public services (see: Brary Cop, Brary Pron, O'Brary)

Brary Cops: XenoMarine Military Police (compare with: Sec Goon)

Brary Pron: Sarcastic Xenohuman term for public officials or policies that serve to embarrass Xenohumanity as a price of its faux-hardliner international appearance.

Cyber: A member of the artificial augment community. Often used with a subcultural context.

Deck-club: A large holodeck-club, often variable form and changed to match themes. Club 'level' varies from week to week, with theme.

Drake: Drakon

Fet-Deck: A holodeck or a holodeck program devoted to pornographic and sexual materials. Often joked about as 'the tourist traps'. Also referred to as 'blue-decks'.

Ganger: A slang term for a member of an organized or semi-organized criminal enterprise. Typically used to denote poverty on the side of the criminal.

Gene-Pollution: Referred to by cynics as 'the dark green list', refers to species on the XenoSci list of 'genetic-defecit species' put out as pseudo-scientific propaganda.

Hawk: Derived from the 'pink mohawk' trope of flamboyant dress and neo-British rock-and-roll, indicating a member of the cheaply-augmented 'post-cyberpunk' street gangs and criminal bands prevalent on outer colonies.

Liz: Drakon, very racist term.

Loader: A Xenohuman who uses variable-bodies and exists primarily as self-contained, self-sustaining data. Stereotyped as hedonistic, greedy, and corporate-aligned.

O'Brary: A sarcastic-but-friendly term for a local XenoMarine Military Policeman. 'Tipping O'Brary' in the form of either cash or crime-watch information is standard activity for Xenohumans.

Public: Adjective, slang for sexually active (See: Pub-girls, pub-clubs, pubdroids)

Pub-Girls: Prostitute

Pub-Clubs: Nightlife areas, general term (See: Social Level)

Pubdoids: Variable-form, mass-production prostitute-droids deployed by Xeno-Tech to do 'street walking duty' on populous worlds. Visitors are encouraged not to approach, as they are known to take wireless auto-payment without permissions should physical contact occur.

Sec Goon: Xeno-Tech Private Security personnel who serve as 'beat cops' on contract on outer holdings worlds

Social Level System (SLS): An government gauge to measure the 'visitor friendliness' (profane behavior, sexual promiscuity and drug usage) within a public area. Includes: light ('clean', minimal clothes requirements), medium / 'meed' ('stained', public nudity and some drug usage allowed), core ('dirty / hardcore', sexual activity of variable violence and hard drug usage expected), and dark ('sinful', typically available only to high-society subscribers, includes certain fet-decks and private clubs and suites with little legal liability for events transpiring within). Typically referred to as 'Club-Level' by locals.

Splicer: A member of the gene-mod community. Often used with a subcultural context.

Xenan: Extremely offensive term (Referred to by foreigners occasionally as 'The Xenohuman N-Word'), covers wide range of insults (sexuality, species, perceived loyalty, gene-mods, etc.), with violence on both parties culturally expected as part of verbal usage. Not used lightly whatsoever

Zeener: Alien, racist term (see: Xenan).

GESTURES

Thumb and pinky extended, three inner fingers folded in, pumped up and down: A context-sensitive gesture indicating sexual attraction of a casual nature. Usage by foreigners is not recommended, as local Xenohumans may take it as an insult if they do not return the sentiments.

Sucking in lower lip, biting gently: 'Biting The Pillow', typical nervous reaction by Xenohumans. Derived from Todularian tradition of biting lips open and bloody as minor self-punishment for uttering things that made others uncomfortable.

Forming an 'L' with the hands, fingers held together, and striking the thenar space of one against the same of the other hand: A fraternal gesture of approval and support, a holdover from Todularian society. Due to its 'dialectic' modification by street gangs into signage, use is not recommended by citizens and foreigners alike.

I didn't think so. If you failed to pick up on the moronically phonetic nature of the above, the question posited was 'Do you think this is a legitimate language?'

Mersinnycant began as nothing more than a combination of intoxication and pragmatism: Among gangers and mercenary bands, speed of communication was always an issue in the front, as standardized military code-words were often nothing more than hinderances to them. As the use of combat drugs spread throughout these groups, their speech would often become slurred and rapid, but as fate often has it, not all mistakes are bad. Those with keen ears could move their men around with their enemies trying to figure out which language it was that it wasn't auto-translating. Now, after a few months, the Unlanguage of Merssinycant has spread to the streets, becoming the edgy new thing among kids and a great way for CorpSec and XenoMarines to keep foes on their toes.

Merssinycant is based off of Galactic Basic, and has few rules. The most important of which is that uses exclusively Basic words, so local dialects or language-bastardizations are not allowed. After that, it's simply a matter of spewing out the information with no breaks per sentence and with the accent of your choice. Xiscapian-Araby, Neo-Hispanian, and Londonigermanic are popular choices, despite the fact that none of those are in any way real. Again, the kitbash-culture of the gangers shines through, making it a popular choice among edgy teens across the galaxy.

'Free love' as an social stance is not a new phenomenon in trans-planetary nations. With advances in augmentation, medicine, birth control, and the progressive nature of international dialogue, it was only a matter of time before the newly sovreign Xenohumans adopted such a policy, casting off the yoke of controlled breeding and priest-controlled eugenics. For a time, the 'scene' was one of liberal relationships, experimental family structures, the normalization of adult sexuality, and a healthy destigmatization of casual sex.

If only such a thing could have lasted.

After the XenoCide, with the rise of the Armed Federation and the Drakonian Junta, society's civilian aspects were changed rapidly and violently. With a military body in power left unchecked, sexual crimes skyrocketed as soldiers and citizens alike battled for some semblance of power and control amidst the conflict and its aftermath. The take-off of the Xeno-Tech Corporation also saw drastic changes, completely absorbing other industries and making them 'marketable' by any means necessary.

Public decency laws were almost non-existent, medical 'miracle augs' that served to quench the spread of STI's and allowed the active, conscious control of impregnation had destroyed any holistic or spiritual connotation of the act of lovemaking, and aggressive marketing of this culture to markets foreign and domestic had the nations of the galaxy questioning the morality and basic humanity of the newly opened nation. Public fornication was shockingly unsurprising to the average citizen (an image often used by critics), and sexualized crime had no moral significance or negative outside of a lawyer's office, due to the disturbing trend that leads Xenohuman 'free love' and their misinterpretation of Greek Hedonism to mandate that sensation is consent and that all pleasure is an inherent good. Amidst fears that this trend could collapse society entirely, XenoRelations began an extensive campaign to regulate profane behavior while staying as hands-off as possible.

The Social Level System (SLS) was introduced to allow products and buildings to maintain their 'standards' while preventing people from accidentally stumbling upon behavior they didn't want. Further standards separated varying degrees of profanity in media, but did not limit such material and activity as a whole. Rather, it merely laid out where and when such behaviors could be carried out. Serving to make Xenohumanity far more tourist-friendly than in the past, the SLS is a rare example of a Xenohuman social-restriction policy reaping plentiful rewards.

Now, Xenohuman sexuality stands safely and securely straddled over the line that separates the exotic and the off-putting. Extranet smut is corporation-produced, proving one of the best 'silent exports' quarter after quarter. Due to the glibness Xenohumans deal with sex, actual activity is candid, casual, more public than normal, and spoken about plainly, avoiding slang and often sounding more like an anatomy lesson than a one-night stand.
