The M09 style uniform is the result of an all-service research study evaluating current uniforms in use. It became a part of the 2009 dress regulations, to create a uniform that would in theory be issued to all personnel in the Soviet Army. The uniform was to be comfortable, durable and be suitable as both a work and combat uniform. Due to the extreme climates present in the SRChP, it was to be suitable for mountains, forests, tundras and deserts[with the latter being made of ripstop-like material]
The M09 features the following:
-includes a hood, eliminating collars which were reported to be an annoyance; It is large enough to wear over a helmet if necessary. -loose fit, will not constrain movement -elbow, knee and seat reinforcement through the use of a layer of heavy canvas. -sleeve cuffs replaced with elastic -provisions for 2 standard lenght magazines on the left leg -large pockets -no shoulder boards present to allow a soldier to wear body armor without stress on the shoulders -fire resistant materials used + winter variant is sized larger, with a removable wool liner. + mountain variant is of a subdued variant of chosen pattern, sized larger to accommodate optional wool liner + hot weather variants as made of ripstop, with ventilation.
Uniform is available in all sizes, and in most royalty free patterns. please specify with order what weight of uniform is required along with specified pattern.
