It had been a month since the first terrorist attacks in Brookopolis by the so-called "Greater Unolian Society" and around three weeks since a minor gunfight sparked the first direct conflict between the Jahistic Party of Unolia and the GUS. Jacob Connors, in his role of Premier of the Jahistic Republic of Unolia, sent in 2,000 of the newly-formed Unolian National Guard to help combat the GUS uprising and the uprising seemed to had quell. Brookopolis was still under a state of emergency, but the general fear was calmed without a giant battle to end the conflict.
Fast forward to today.
Everything was peaceful during the morning and afternoon of August 25th. During the night however, a tragedy beyond anyone's wildest imagination was about to occur. In the city of Brookopolis, a City Council meeting closed up after seven hours of debate on various issues. These meetings were open to the public, as always. When it was ended, a note was given to the Chairman of the Council, which simply said "We are the Orange Death that Passes By!"
Before he could react, boom.
Two bombs planted in the City Council building went off, killing thirteen, including two councilmen. Seven places were attacked overall, including the Esquarian Village and the HQ of Unolia MediaCorps, the largest internet provider in the nation. Three bombs went off in a military base where the Unolian National Guard was stationed, before it was swarmed by insurgents sympathetic to the GUS movement. A total of 250 people were confirmed either dead or wounded, according to early reports. At 1:20 in the morning, the Firebrand News Network station in Brookopolis went off the air after being seized by the insurgents.
At 1:50, the feed came back on, to reveal a yellow Unolian, dressed in a defaced JLF uniform, obviously stolen. He said, with a smile, that Brookopolis was now under the control of the Greater Unolian Society. He demanded that Jacob Connors resign and the Jahistic Party of Unolia dissolve or else further attacks would claim more lives. He named himself as Xi Bo and listed three more demands:
- Unification of Unolia and Roubao under Monarchist Rule
- An end to the Jahistic movement
- Recrowning of the Unolian Monarch
"We have the Chairman of the Brookopolis Jahistic Party, Stephen Duklos, and General Leni Quang of the Jahistic Youth Corps as our hostages. The Jahistic Party of Unolia has twenty-four hours to cede to our demands or one of them will be executed. An attack means the certain death of both of them." He said.
An anchor continues where Bo left off, declaring that all members of the civilian populace has 48 hours to turn in all arms on punishment of death. He lauds Bo as the Regent to the King of Unolia, and declaring that the Kingdom of Unolia is the legitimate state on Unolia. The GUS then proceeds to run old Monarchist propaganda on the station.

"What are we going to do, Marshal?" an adviser asked Jacob Connors upon giving him the full status report.
"We could bomb them out. But then we lose internet and billions of dollars in repairs and lives. We can't do a ground attack yet, because we don't have a plan and the hostages might die."
Another figure walked up to Connors, and then another, and then another, until the whole Standing Committee was with him. They proceeded into his office and came up with the following plan: they were going to contact the Koy Embassy and ask for assistance on military affairs and order the JYC to disarm on the Firebrand network. The goal was to make sure they did not take anymore of the Province of Keanuli than was needed to be lost.

In light of recent developments in the City of Brookopoilis, we are formally requesting assistance from Koy Forces Unolia to plan and execute a counter attack on the Monarchist Terrorist Insurgents that are spreading like a cancer in the province of Keanuli.
To aid in the development and execution of this plan, we are inviting any high ranking Koy officer on Unolia and any high ranking member of the Koy foreign affairs mission on Unolia to join the Standing Committee of the Jahistic Party of Unolia in a meeting.
