I don't get why people want a "vote for none" option with things such as this.
What purpose would it serve?

I get it for votes for people. You can say you don't like any of the electable candidates. If you don't like the available proposal, just vote against.
If you don't know or don' care either way, then shut up and sit in a corner. Why would we want your opinion when it is literally nothing.

I thought we already had a "vote for none" option; a simple act of, wait for it, not voting.

Better vote tracking for checking trends. Theres no way to tell the difference between an abstention or an absentee vote. For many regional politics, this is important, and would cut down on apathy votes.

The problem with adding an "abstain" button is simple: how would abstentions be counted? If abstentions are counted, then they basically count as a no vote. If they're not, then a close yes vote isn't majority rule, making the vote undemocratic. It's a double edged sword, and why it's good that we don't have it. Even if this proposal did meet the rules (which it doesn't; not written from WA's perspective), I would still vote no.

Compulsory Free Trade Treaty

A resolution to reduce barriers to free trade and commerce.

Category: Free Trade

Strength: Strong

Proposed by: Grand Nicholia

Description: BY this agreement all nations must required to open their borders for trade. Further detail is below:

AFFECT: By this treaty, all nation states must open their borders for free trade, there will be consequences if a nation fails to meet this command, but the consequences is for the world assembly to decide.

OUTCOME: The hope is to bring prosperity to the smaller nations and force isolationist states to open themselves up to trade.

ACKNOWLEDGING: That this may cause some anger among states, mostly of the isolationist types.

CONVINCED: That people in one nation suffer, while people from another do not suffer at all and live in the lap of luxury is outrageous and that only way to solve this problem is to force bigger nations to trade with smaller ones.

PROMOTING: International friendship, which shall flourish under compulsory trading. Not only that, but trading leads to a more connected world, which shall see less takeovers of regions, raids, etc.

THUS we believe that this treaty shall only BENEFIT the international community.By passing this treaty, it will make free trade compulsory.

Naive, mentions regions and raiders (whatever raiders have to do with trade?), mandates the WA decide the "consequences" of non-compliance.

A resolution to increase the quality of the world's environment, at the expense of industry.

Category: Environmental

Industry Affected: All Businesses

Proposed by: Vallita

Description: The idea of changing the world can be daunting. It is not only easy but understandable to think. One would say can i make a difference : the answer is yes if every person did just one thing to make the world a better place today, billions of acts of kindness, social responsibility and generosity would take place that would change the face of this planet.
That's why we made this oath that will be maintained by the WA

2-respect others dignity
3-protect the forests and reduce the paper needs
4-reduce automobile emissions
5-conserve water
6-donate to clean water charities
7-be generous
8-reduce consumption and garbage
9-have the daily smiley ethic
10-help the rebirth of green zones
11-promote urban cycling
12-organise a frequent neighbourhood meet & greet
13-promote the recycling of plastic(bottle, pet etc)
14- promote frequent tree planting

We have an oath? Besides, really does nothing beyond make a list of bumperstickers.

Half of the oath isn't even about the environment... what does a neighborhood meet and greets help the environment?

Unless the last part counts as an operative clause, i don't think it actually has one.
In=character, Kaboomlandia is a World Assembly member and abides by its resolutions. If this nation isn't in the WA, it's for practical reasons.

Precisely. Unfortunately, "bad written" is not against the rules. Quite unfortunate really.

Right, but "category violation" is against the rules, and that one is quite obviously Global Disarmament, not Human Rights.

Better World Oath

A resolution to increase the quality of the world's environment, at the expense of industry.

Category: Environmental

Industry Affected: All Businesses

Proposed by: Vallita

Description: The idea of changing the world can be daunting. It is not only easy but understandable to think. One would say can i make a difference : the answer is yes if every person did just one thing to make the world a better place today, billions of acts of kindness, social responsibility and generosity would take place that would change the face of this planet.
That's why we made this oath that will be maintained by the WA
1-make time for Volunteering
2-respect others dignity
3-protect the forests and reduce the paper needs
4-reduce automobile emissions
5-conserve water
6-donate to clean water charities
7-be generous
8-reduce consumption and garbage
9-have the daily smiley ethic
10-help the rebirth of green zones
11-promote urban cycling
12-organise a frequent neighbourhood meet & greet
13-promote the recycling of plastic(bottle, pet etc)
14- promote frequent tree planting

We have an oath? Besides, really does nothing beyond make a list of bumperstickers.

Half of the oath isn't even about the environment... what does a neighborhood meet and greets help the environment?

A better question is, what the hell is a "daily smilie ethic?"

Freedom to control our nations

A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Human Rights

Strength: Strong

Proposed by: Jenkins vile

Description: currenrly cotizens are given the right to live in our countries. This is good and should continue however all of their other rights that we are bound by the WA to enforce are causing many nations a huge ordeal of problems. By giving cotizens rights they then feel that they have other rights which are not sanctioned by many governments. I propose that Nation leaders should be given more freedom to how may rights there citizens can choose and the actions they can take against them. This will help to decrease the amount of unlawful amount of behaviour there is as citizens will know there place and the strong iron fist waiting to help stamp them out.

Aside from being incoherent, violations are category and strength, no operative clause, not from WA's POV, and contradiction of almost every resolution.
