The Moral Bailout

A resolution to restrict civil freedoms in the interest of moral decency.

Category: Moral Decency

Strength: Strong

Proposed by: Wome

Description: The society of the modern world, as we are today, is morally bankrupt. The nations of the world are legalizing all sorts of laws that mirror the reasons that the city of Sodom were destroyed. If we do not turn back, we will all be saved. We must bail out the world from this bankruptcy, and let morals return to the everyday average life, so that our children may grow up good people.

Yeah, whatever. :palm:

The Expense of Beauty

A resolution to increase the quality of the world's environment, at the expense of industry.

Category: Environmental
Industry Affected: Logging
Proposed by: Land of Saia

Description: For many years, the world has allowed logging to go on, producing paper, pencils, and other wood-based items. However, the world average for environmental beauty has declined to 23 points. The world is not only being effected by deforestation, but pollution as well. It is my proposal that we shut down the logging industry for the sake of the environment and use alternative recourses in the place of wood.

Already, the environmental status has fallen dramatically. If we wait any more, we will be left with no environment at all.

It's not hard as such, it just requires time that could be better spent writing a crap proposal.

In all fairness, there's certainly an argument for some kind of really strongly worded reccomendation on the WA main page. Something like:

PLEASE GO TO THE FORUMS AND DRAFT YOUR PROPOSAL.

Project Anti Nazi Alliance

A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Human Rights

Strength: Strong

Proposed by: Land of Saia

Description: In light of recognition that has recently been given to the region Anti Nazi Alliance, it is my proposal that we take things a step further by putting into law the illegality of racism. I say we follow the example of the Anti Nazi Alliance in their quest to support victims of racism and to ban this sickness - this disease - from our world.

Please approve this issue, before the problem gets any worse. At this rate, racism is like a snake: as long as it is alive, it has won. Let us abolish the existence of racial preference from our fair world.

Pile of illegal -Metagaming, probably ideological ban.

Repeal "Restrictions on Child Labor"

A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal

Resolution: GA#4

Proposed by: Meztopolis

Description: WA General Assembly Resolution #4: Restrictions on Child Labor (Category: Human Rights; Strength: Strong) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: This bill, while well intentioned, has had adverse effects on all WA nations. First, the definition of a dangerous work environment has been too broad and has led to the banning of children working in environments as safe as a playground. This has led to the mass shortage of labor in many nations and regions, all culminating to the shutting down of companies and mass firings. Massive unemployment as a result of these firings has plunged these nations into economic ruin as there workforce shrinks (as do their economies) and more people apply for welfare. Second, in many impoverished nations, education should not be required as it will not really help them earn a decent income. Rather, education will divert their time and resources away from earning an income to help their families, which is oftentimes necessary in these nations. This bill, while created with the best of intentions, is flawed. This version of the bill should be repealed and, after undergoing the necessary edits, be resubmitted to the WA as a proposal. The necessary edits would include the removal of part 7 from B, creating a definition as to what work environments would be considered subjecting them to physical and psychological abuse, and creating a WA rules redefining an adult as being someone at or above the age of 16, not the traditional 18. Once these edits are made, then this bill should be resubmitted to the WA for voting.

Editing and resubmitting unless by the author, or with the authors permission would be plagiarism.

Repeal "Permit Male Circumcision"

A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal

Resolution: GA#141

Proposed by: Gemini Empire

Description: WA General Assembly Resolution #141: Permit Male Circumcision (Category: Human Rights; Strength: Mild) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: Declares that a Permit on Male Circumcision is fair but that for religious and mental health reasons there are those who do not want circumcision and others who are not in the right mind to consent to a circumcision.

Realizing that male circumcision is essential in general to the health of the individual.

Declaring that
1. Religious groups are exempt under the Permit
2. There will only be an amendment added to the Permit stating that : "All religious denominations and groups are automatically exempt from such permit or law/act regarding circumcision as they feel within their given religious beliefs.
3. That an amendment be made for the Permit discharging those who are mentally ill stating that :" Any person who is diagnosed as mentally ill is immediatley exempt from such action."

OBLIGES that the current law only be amended with the above additions.

Amendments are illegal.

Sovereignty to ones nation

A resolution to improve world security by boosting police and military budgets.

Category: International Security

Strength: Significant

Proposed by: UnidadDePaz

Description: The World Assembly may have a right to change whatever issue there is within the Security Council and General Assembly meaning they can put international laws as much as they want, but we may not affect the sovereignty of any nation or region, free trade should be allowed, and military intervention as well only when asked for. Also WA members can come to the Missions when asked to come not when they please. It is my understanding I can resign when I want but I rather not for the wider range of the free market. That is all.

Does Nothing. That is all.

(And if, by some twisted interpretation, it should be construed to do something, I am rather confident that any such inferred legislative action would fall outside the scope of the proposal's Category.)

Cure for Heart Disease

A resolution to modify universal standards of healthcare.

Category: Health

Area of Effect: Healthcare

Proposed by: Scottvilleland

Description: In Scottvilleland, the leading cause of death (beside old age) is heart disease. I am very concerned about this. I want the WA to find a cure for the disease.

We are disturbed you are concerned. What concern us in Grays Harbor, however, is the branding, wishful thinking, and does nothingness of this, as well as an apparent inability to follows established rules and procedure.

Protection of Immigrants

A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Human Rights

Strength: Significant

Proposed by: The United States of Usonia

Description: IN recent years the World has seen an influx of people who are going from one country to another for political asylum and also a new life. What this resolution will guarantee that:

ALL immigrants will receive a fair chance to reside in the country.

This WILL give them a chance to live wherever they want without DISCRIMINATION.

ALSO they'll have a right to participate in the activities of the COUNTRY they choose to be.

WITH the closing argument I am urging the WA to consider the possibility for a brighter future for all people who are from different parts of the WORLD....

Is writing a proposal from the perspective of Unicorn Lalaland illegal? :meh:
(Also, Leave our borders and immigration policy alone.)
