OOC:
Heck, Lord Ravenclaw voted against and it is still passing by about 4000 votes.

Enough of the super delegates are for to ensure passage, barring a major shift in votes.

Nevertheless, when I have time later today, I will address the arguments in 10000 Islands' forums.

Ambassador Geist lazily drifts to the center of the room, during a lull when the floor is nearly empty. Giving a slight yawn, he pulls out a small card.

"As delegate of The Versutian Federation, I have cast my vote in favor of the resolution in question. Not only does the author of the target resolution support this repeal, but so does the vast majority of my region. We also opposed the original resolution, given its lack of flexibility and heavy-handed approach to an issue that does not affect all members nations in the same way, if it does at all. This issue needs a lot of work if we are to take it seriously in future legislation."

The ambassador floats back out the room.

OOC: The theory of temporal linearity would beg to differ. It was back up to more FOR votes yesterday evening already. But I'm lazy bum and usually only change my vote once a day, so I didn't update my vote until this morning. At that point EP had indeed posted.

"Also Disappointed by the resolution's lack of

Three oranges, peeled and de-veined,

Two hundred and fifty milliliters of milk or coconut milk,

One egg plus two egg yolks (from chickens),

Five milliliters of vanilla extract,

Thirty milliliters of raw honey (preferably from Terran bees), and

Three hundred and seventy-five millileters of ice,

despite the obvious benefits of including these and an electric blender at public meetings,

Shocked at the target's failure to combine everything except oranges and ice in a blender and mixing for about twenty seconds to create a frothy cream, before adding the oranges and blending for another twenty seconds or until smooth; and at last adding the ice and blending for another twenty seconds;"

John Cleese: That last part of the resolution got too silly!
General: Get on with it. GET ON WITH IT!

Representative Ergo Vespucci steps to the main podium, nervously fiddling with his collar before his young nations first address to the general assembly. Stepping up and turning his head he looks toward the hall and speaks, "In our republic...we spend a significant amount of our law enforcement funds to proper training and management of our police. While our incredibly low crime rate makes this easy, higher crime rate does not excuse those nations that use their law enforcement like an occupying army, or otherwise misuses the aforementioned force. While our hearts go out to those citizens under the boot of police brutality, it is not our job to provide for such ignorant nations. Nor do we believe that such issues may be efficiently resolved by the World Assembly, it must be tackled at possibly by the regional, or even more preferably by the national governments of the World Assembly. By people who understand the unique cultural and socioeconomic forces that drive police relations at the national level. To conclude, we see the original resolution as inefficient and overbearing. As such we have decided to vote with the repeal effort."
