Homeless Rights Act

Postby Nemuroa » Sat Nov 28, 2015 5:11 pm

There is currently zero laws protecting anyone without a home leaving them vulnerable in winters, in wars and in fact any time in the year. This proposal would help and save countless homeless lives, this is why we should make it a Resolution, I rest my case.

"Your proposal unreasonably impacts the economy of member states as well as disrupts, without any consideration for the regular process, the social welfare bureaucracy systems of member states. Your proposal is just terrible. Next time, post it for public review before you clutter up the queue."

“While it is clear that the intentions behind this proposal are honest and good, the government of the United Provinces of New Korongo feels that the issues described can be better addressed by each member state rather than the World Assembly as a whole."

"Untrue, sir. There are plenty of civil rights resolutions. Perhaps you should read the World Assembly law code?"

OOC: The OP really should've posted that link. I'll post the text, which he also should've done:
Homeless Rights

Category: Human Rights
Strength: Significant

Proposed by: Nemuroa

Description: This resolution will help the World Assembly's Homeless population gain more rights then they already have today.

1. Allow the Homeless too enter a store without getting kicked out or abused. ( This does not allow any homeless to abuse or act differently from normal customers, if they do call authorities too take them too a shelter.)

2. Make governments in the World Assembly fund Homeless welfare programs and help building homeless shelters.

3. Make Homeless be able too bypass loitering laws, if used against them.

4. If Homeless that are found have children immediately give them a temporary home in till they have a job that can support their family.

5. If any Homeless that are found have mental illness immediately find a homeless shelter for them too live in.

6. If any Homeless that are found have pets immediately take the homeless and there pet(s) too a homeless shelter that can fund or help them.

7. If anyone that is non-homeless that abuses or hurts a Homeless adult give them a 1 year or more prison sentence, if anyone abuses or hurts a Homeless child give them a 5 year or more prison sentence.

8. If a homeless child is found without a family give them too a orphanage immediately, and if they have any pet's give them too a pet shelter.

These laws would help and stop growing homeless problems in the World Assembly nations.

It has typos, grammar errors, it's not written from WA perspective ("make do this" <-- who's making?), I think it violates a few existing resolutions (especially clause #8, which basically mandates kidnapping), and I question whether - taking into account all the existing resolutions - homeless people are large enough an issue in all the member nations to make this significant strength.

All the nations that care have (and can fund it) likely have already made laws regarding homelessness.
