While the chickens in Traxsmuh might be found sapient according to this resolution, and therefore, rights ascribed to humans apply to them as well, the chickens used for meat processing in Lons do not appear to conform to these requirements.

Although we Pkunk find cannibalism among sapient species very unnerving, and we are overjoyed upon encountering another sapient avian species, our representative, yours truly, would like to second the declaration of the representative from Lons.

Although the chickens of Paleoconservative Traxmuhs may very well be sapient, they are likely a subspecies of the greater Chicken species "Gallus Gallus." Gallus gallus sapiens (you have not provided your species designation so the human one that insists that they're sapient will have to do) would be protected under Protection of Sapient Rights. Other variants of Gallus gallus, including the popular foodsource Gallus gallus domesticus, have not demonstrated sapience, not even on an individual level. Although we sympathize with your desire not to get eaten, your existence as a sapient (sub)species would make it illegal to eat you.

Your non-sapient brethren, however, would be part of the natural ecosystem. There is no shame in that.

Apart from the fact it's a horrible idea for a resolution, isn't an international issue, is very poorly laid out and very vauge, banning chicken meat in all forms would also restrict cloned chicken meat, printed chicken meat and no doubt other synthetic foodstuffs.
