Ambassador Markhov, still somewhat shaken from the sudden appearance, and equally sudden disappearance of the vaguely familiar Mech, addressed the assembly:

"Ambassador, No. Not only is this not an international issue, it is hardly even a National Issue for many nations, including the Imperium. Quite honestly, Ambassador, many of the criticisms leveled at this "Anime", apply to a great number of other mediums, such as the oddly popular "Midday Saga", or the "War of Chairs"; including "binge watch a particular series if it has already ended ... hours spent sitting at a screen, staring, not doing any exercise of any sort".

Quite honestly, Ambassador, I think you are overreacting to a Non-Issue, as, judging by the existence of a great number of nations where this "Anime" plays quite a large part in their culture, all of which maintain fully-functional Societies and Governments, Sanity of the inhabitants notwithstanding, shows that this is not nearly the endemic which you seem to think it is."

• 8 hours ago: The proposal "Anti-Anime Resolution" was removed from the floor.
• 8 hours ago: Cyrilla was ejected from the WA for rule violations.

Oops. Kids, don't plagiarize.

They brought that one on themself as they were told about the 'no plagiazing' rule several times after the first submission, then went ahead and resubmitted the same thing again, only changing the strength.

And when I removed it (at the author's request) after the first submission, I was spawn camping for DOS puppets and didn't really read the text that closely, so they got a chance to correct their mistake (re: plagiarism).

I've been at work all morning, but as I'm sure most of you know, a helpful GHR about submitted proposals breaking rules (I.e. plagiarism) is appreciated.

I'm slightly disappointed that the honourable delegate for Anime hasn't been heard from...

Sorry, we were a little delayed. Now really, what's all this then? Isn't it the Security Council who goes about condemning regions, not the General Assembly?

Well he wasn't going after your region. he was going after the concept of a nation having anime legal in there country and wanting to ban it....so the resolution does go under GA but it has a better spot shot down.

Anime forever! This proposal is very biased and about as silly as the first thing I said.

This is probably the best joke draft I've ever seen outside of the joke draft section.

It wasn't a joke draft, it was plagiarized.

Orginal author wrote it well, but seriously, of all things, anime? I could list about 120 things that are currently having a negative impact on nations in NSG and anime isn't one of them.

Not to mention is it was passed (highly unlikely) it would have no effect on manga, for all die-hard anime/manga fans know, anime=/=manga.

Since this proposal has encountered universal opposition and the author has been ejected for plagiarism, can we just lock this thread and let it die in peace? Thanks.

The OP didn't write it well. In fact, they didn't write it at all. It was a copy/paste from an internet petition to ban anime. Verbatim.
