Much as this is already shaping up to be a debate of titanic intellect, could you post the text of your proposal, and not just a link? The link will expire in 3 days.

Argument: This bill though a good idea in nature has certain problems.

Realizing that this idea was well founded but restricts the rights of governments, and religion.

Disagreeing that the only way to achieve marriage equality is to force it upon people, which is ironic in and of its self.

Officially Declaring That this is struct Null and Void and governments can now decide the official marriage standards.

Here it is

To be perfectly frank, it doesn't even look like any effort was put into this proposal, and you're already submitting this? Talk about rushed.

Argument: This bill though a good idea in nature has certain problems.

... Care to elaborate on certain problems, or just end the sentence on that?

Realizing that this idea was well founded but restricts the rights of governments, and religion.

This resolution does not affect the criteria and restrictions in existence for the celebration of rites within religious communities.
-From Article 1b in the Freedom of Marriage Act.

Disagreeing that the only way to achieve marriage equality is to force it upon people, which is ironic in and of its self.

We've read through this and nowhere does it state any marriages are being forced on any people.

Officially Declaring That this is struct Null and Void and governments can now decide the official marriage standards.

This resolution is to prevent governments from discriminating against minorities when making choices on who they wish to marry. Remove this resolution and rest assured some governments in the World Assembly will freely restrict these people of their rights. We should allow this behavior.

This repeal is completely lacking in reasoning (let alone an actual argument) and thankfully it won't be getting sufficient support.

Nope. It only allows men to marry men or women to marry women. It says nothing whatsoever about discriminating against marriage-seekers based on race, religion, nationality, species, etc., etc.

This repeal is completely lacking in reasoning (let alone an actual argument)

I haven't actually noticed this until noticing another repeal for this very same act: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=327652

Unlike this repeal, the proposal in the above link actually provides justifiable reasons for repeal. Mainly, Resolution #35 mentioned already covers #15 and more and in a more efficient manner. In fact I'd rather support that repeal proposal than the "reasons" provided here.
