[DRAFT] The Quartering Ban Act

Hello, fellow member-states of the General Assembly, I am here to propose something I am sure you will all appreciate: the Quartering Ban Act.

The Quartering Ban Act SEEKS to forbid any member-state from imposing troops on any person or town for the purpose of lodging said troops.

The Quartering Ban Act STRIVES to make the world a better place through the afore-mention statement.

I hope you will vote to pass this legislature for the betterment of the world as well as mankind.

Do you have a category for your proposal?

Are you trying to write a mandatory proposal or merely a mild one? Because your odd mixture of verbs doesn't make it at all clear.

Why should this be considered an international issue and not merely something that can be covered by national level legislation? Your proposal doesn't contain a preamble argument explaining this: indeed, it doesn't appear to have a preamble at all.

It's good that you recognise this is in Draft stage, because it needs a lot of work.

While in itself probably not an awful idea, before you start trying to author legislation you really should participate in some other debates as that is basically how you learn to write successfully.
Learning to write successfully is a thing you need to do in order to write successfully.
