I have no doubt that even with the repeal of this resolution, the WA office buildings will remain for some time if for nothing else because of the massive biological hazard that demolishing them would entail. That being said, the ambassador who takes residence in the women's restroom (and makes it quite awkward, I might add) has a lot to gain from the construction of a new premises with better focus on spacial management. On the other hand, Ambassador Tung, you sound like myself in primary school when I claimed to have a girlfriend in Montana (a place I made up). And every time the ambassadors prove that the World Assembly has no dignity. This resolution gives us a home. The fact that it strips us of our self-denial may make some uncomfortable, but if the truth hurts, prepare for pain. If you are having a problem getting office space draft a controversial proposal, wait for the argument to get heated and someone to declare the WA a lost cause and storm out, call dips on their office.

"If we have one now, why rock the boat? The repeal is based entirely on a lack of humor. Besides, there are no repeals that promise a replacement that can be trusted to go through with it. Afforess's attempt to repeal GAR#2 comes to mind. To suspect that, just because a replacement is drafted and suggested that it will pass is the epitome of naivete. Especially considering the political power behind the new face drafting this, anybody who trusts that the replacement will go through at face value should never play poker. I can read, ambassador, but I can't find it in myself to trust.

OOC: Honestly, self-deprecating humor is a pretty entrenched aspect of the GA culture - the fact that the term "festering snakepit" is a universally recognized sobriquet for the General Assembly is a testament to that. I don't necessarily have any strong opinion on the target resolution, but I can't stand for this abjectly humorless repeal. So I'm opposing this purely for OOC reasons.

I see many IC/RP uses for having a WA Headquarters. As such, I would not support a repeal if its not accompanied by a replacement.

(Also hard to take the author seriously when he reneges on his promise to retire and then suddenly come up with like 10 new proposals in a row. I can't tell if this is trolling or his idea of revenge against the WA)

2) You can always choose, like the EnE delegation did, to purchase or build a new building down the road, if one does not want to inconvenienced by the WA building. Norrland Park, Norrland Park Residences and Norrland Park Square were all built on purchased land (and was granted immunity status) to ensure that the two Ambassadors and their working team have more room to roam about. Then again, we've got money to spare - since the tiny state of 400,000 people (and another 9 odd million in the Dominions) makes money disproportionately compared to what it spends.
