International Education Act

A resolution to promote funding and the development of education and the arts.

Category: Education and Creativity

Area of Effect: Educational

Proposed by: Confederacy of corporate freedom

Description: Recognises: that not all countries provide easily accessible or public education to their citizens

Beliefs: that the right to learn something or anything is irrevocable from any sapient being and the lack of provision to do so from some source contributes greatly to social and economic inequality, especially in countries with free economies.

Further beliefs: that many nations only provide education to those who can afford it, making middle classes thrive, but further economically oppressing a poor or working class by not allowing them to obtain the proper skills to gain economic stability in their nation.

Further recognises and believes: that many nations wrongly prohibit the right to education and learning to certain individuals, which is morally unjust and allows puppeteering and propagandas to happen without any adhering to the public eye, and, therefore, the lack of civil and human rights indirectly.

Identifies: education as the obtaining of any knowledge, and all knowledge.

understands: that education is the gateway to understanding the world around you, whether it be politics or science, and therefore required for the betterment of either of the two categories., and in most cases, the betterment of the individual

This proposal requires member nations to:

1)) provide funding to an internationally based education system that allows equal and non-bias education for all who seek it.

2)) Allow any one of their citizens to participate in the furtherment of their education- whether it be the schools of their nation or the international system stated above

3)) allow citizens to use the international service, but not require it. They may still require National education though if they seek to.

----

Any nation that does adhere to these conditions will be punished severely, and all those affected will be compensated by the international education fund.

Duplication

And I think "beliefs" instead of "believes" counts as the obligatory mis-spelling/typo in an Educational proposal...

Barring Disarmament

A resolution to improve world security by boosting police and military budgets.

Category: International Security

Strength: Strong

Proposed by: Eutristan

Description: As the world begins to press more and more for global disarmament, more risks are beginning to present themselves. Larger countries that press for strong militaries and military budgets will inevitably take over smaller countries that do the opposite. This is why the World Assembly must recognize the following as they watch the disarmament and disintegration of countries militaries:

-The increased vulnerability of the disarming nations
-The chance of massive takeovers by militarized countries
-The civilian casualties caused by the potential invasions
-If executed correctly, the power to rival the World Assembly

In order to prevent the political instability the disarmament can cause a particular criteria must be put in place. This will consist of minimum military budget, minimum military size, and minimum military technology.

Must Have:
-3% of budget donated to military spending
-150,000 military troops
-10,000 military science+aid troops
-Technology no older than 3 years
-Supplies+Weapons no older than 25 years
-Transport (None Armed) no older than 50 years
-Transport (Armed) no older than 30 years.

If these criteria aren't met, the country will not be allowed admission into the World Assembly. This will effectively isolate bulk communication. It will also isolate trade and the nations economy. If the criteria are met, the opposite will be true. I hope this proposal is considered as it offers political stability for years to come.

This was just run-of-the-mill silly until it got to the part where it started mandating what each military should consist of, and it is bizarre. After that we get into Game Mechanics, barring admission to the WA unless we comply with their bizarre vision of what a military should consist of.
Everything you know about me is wrong. Or a rumor. Something like that.

Eh? There are nations that have dragons present, in fact former Mod 'The Most Glorious Hack' sometimes employed one as one of his ambassadors at the NS-UN...
.. but this matter would already be covered by either 'Endangered Species Protection' or the resolution against genocide, depending on those dragons' sapience, anyhows...

Nuke Limit Act

A resolution to modify universal standards of healthcare.

Category: Health

Area of Effect: Bioethics

Proposed by: Keelin

Description: Nukes are terrible for the environment and also can kill a lot of people

SO I PROPOSE that every country can only have a limit of 5 nukes. This will protect people and the environment.

IF A COUNTRY HAS MORE THAN 5 NUKES, they will be tried. If found guilty, the leader of the country must step down and a new one will be elected.

I wouldn't say contradiction, as it's not a total ban on nukes. Although, it's not from WA perspective, and the leader totally takes all responsibility for the nation's ownership of nukes.

Not really, since the interpretation of that rule tends to be "you can mention previous resolutions, you just can't amend/build only on top of them". It just says "in harmony with". Other than that, I'd say duplicates and possibly also contradicts CoCR ("patients in private rooms" sounds like one of those categories CoCR deems frivolous - and also a major loophole; just put all poor patients into private rooms when they're dying, and you can ignore this legislation entirely), and probably does the same with the other healthcare-related resolutions, despite trying to be in harmony or whatever.

GENERAL ASSEMBLY PROPOSAL
ID: state_of_emergency_404_1455559436

Limiting Right to Procreation

A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Human Rights

Strength: Strong

Proposed by: State of Emergency 404

Description: PREAMBLE:

It's a law of nature that all men are not born equal. Certainly some people have been scientifically proven to possess superior genes that can produce "Intellectually Capable" offspring as opposed to the other mediocre public. The State of Emergency 404 has developed such scientific advances that leave no room for doubt in the "genetic assessment" of people for determining whether he/she is capable of producing high quality, state of the art offspring.

RESOLUTION:

In light of these scientific facts, the State of Emergency 404 proposes that all world nations adopt these scientific methods and perform proper "genetic assessment" of their people and issue a "Certificate of Procreation" only to "genetically fit" individuals. Any individuals that do not meet the prescribed genetic standards shall be prohibited to engage in any form of sexual activity in any capacity and if found guilty of the offence shall be given capital punishment with immediate effect while if anything transpires of the crime the case shall be aborted without fail.

The State of Emergency 404 shall offer any scientific assistance to other nations towards the betterment of their future generations.

GENERAL ASSEMBLY PROPOSAL

RESOLUTION:

It also contradicts CoCR and Convention on Execution.
While she had no regrets about throwing the lever to douse her husband's mistress in molten gold, Blanche did feel a pang of conscience for the innocent bystanders whose proximity had caused them to suffer gilt by association.

Free Trade with All
A resolution to reduce barriers to free trade and commerce.
Category: Free Trade
Strength: Significant
Proposed by: Franz Republic
Description: [b]Section I:[b] Upon passing this bill, all countries will have an automatic free trade agreement with all other countries.
[b]Section II:[b] Countries may repeal individual agreements as they wish.
[b]Section III:[b] All countries that have a free trade agreement with other countries will not be able to declare war with them, and will make peace if already at war.

My own opinions on 'Free Trade' aside, Reads like an Ideological Ban on Imperialism, and war in general, for that matter, since it mandates automatic Free Trade Agreements with literally every other nation that exists, and then forbids us from declaring war on any nation they have a free trade agreement with.

Also, broken formatting.

Free Trade with All Revised

A resolution to reduce barriers to free trade and commerce.

Category: Free Trade

Strength: Strong

Proposed by: Franziland

Description: Section I: Upon passing this bill, all countries in the WA will have an automatic free trade agreement with all other countries in the WA that are in a embassied region. This eliminates the need to spend valuable time constructing a non-generic trade agreement with another country. It will also facilitate free trade, thus providing financial and political gains.
Section II: Countries may only repeal individual agreements, one at a time, by telegraphing individual countries. In order to repeal an agreement, neither party can be at war.
Section III: All countries that have a free trade agreement with other countries will not be able to declare war with them, and will make peace if already at war. This is the first step to a better world with less war. It will lead to countries trying to settle things diplomatically, not by war.

It's baaaack. And while expanded slightly, is still the same basic mess it had been previously.
Everything you know about me is wrong. Or a rumor. Something like that.

Just looked into the submitter, and evidently this proposal was actually written by Gatito... Which is sad considering he's a delegate...

1.) Ignore them, they want attention. Giving it to them will only encourage them.
2.) Keep a backup region or two handy, with a password in place, in case you are raided. You can move there if needed.

3 minutes ago: The proposal "Ban on Masturbation" was removed from the floor.

I'd say "this calls for a celebration" but... yeah, won't go there.
