2nd Ebyrian International Open Cup (Scores/RP/Rosters)

PostPosted: Sat Dec 18, 2010 6:07 pm
by Eurentus
After the Ebyrian International Open Cup and the Ebyria Regional Cup the region of Ebyria is back to host another international soccer cup. This time it will be hosted by Eurentus.

The 2nd EIOC will use the most recent KPB rankings. The scorinating will be done with the new NSFS3.

There are 22 teams, and besides having two groups of 11 there isn't many ways to split the groups evenly. Because of this, Group A and Group B will have six teams each. Group C and Group D will have five teams each. Selection of the teams are placed by rank, making the average rank 5.11 for each group. Each team will play one game against each other team in their group. Two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals of the knockout stage.

The official start date will be December 23nd. Games usually be scorinated 10:00PM EST. Cutoff for RPs will be one hour before at 9:00PM EST.

Map of Eurentus

Although there are many cities within Eurentus. Only one city has been approved by King Godard Truffaut for stadiums to be built for this tournament. Ville D'eau has been chosen for it's massive economic abilities and population. Being the main port and tourist city, it has more than enough hotels and housing for the teams and fans from other nations. Eurentus hopes that foreign fans will fill the stadiums, for currently there is little interest in sports in Eurentus due to it being illegal for almost 100 years.

Stadium Map

Image

A.Stade E'nua
Image
City: E'nua
Details: The only stadium to be built outside the city of Villa D'eau. It is technically in the city of E'nua, but E'nua is often times considered part of Villa D'eau. It is located under the beautiful cliffs of the Rivier De'our.
Capacity: 38,000

B. Estadio de Truffaut
Image
City: Villa D'eau
Details: Right where the Rivier De'our and Rivier Caline combine to become the grand Rio Churcho, this stadium towers high enough to compare with the surrounding skyline that is being built.
Capacity: 45,000

C.Stadio Olimpico Grande
Image
City: Villa D'eau
Details: Surrounded by the lower class portion of Villa D'eau, King Truffaut hopes that this stadium will help boost the local economy.
Capacity: 37,000

D.La Stadio de Norte
Image
City: Villa Caline
Details: The stadium is still under construction, but King Truffaut saw it fit to be announced. It should be finished construction next month, just in time for the tournament to start. La Stadio de Norte is located on top of a hill looking over the district Pierre Norte of Villa D'eau. Although it has the smallest capacity, there is a hillside that fans can gather on to watch the game for free.
Capacity: 25,000

E.Stade Caline
Image
City: Villa Caline
Details: Stade Caline was built in a hurry when the tournaments organizing committee found out there would be too many teams to be playing on four stadiums. An industrial field was hastily turned into a stadium.
Capacity: 15,000

F.Estadio de Alevo
Image
City: Villa D'eau
Details: Chamberman Nickola Alevo put forth his own money to cover 80% of the costs to make Estadio de Alevo a full sized stadium out of a parking garage in downtown Villa D'eau. It boasts a medium capacity, but the best pitch in Eurentus.
Capacity: 22,000

The OFA are sending a team... but who will manage it?! :o
Cue many "debates" between Benedict di Corradi and Elissa Barca-Carthy.

We're in.

Kazzoria recently has had a pretty lousy run. It all started with the world cup, we were gunning for qualification but a few bad results against beatable teams stopped us. Still in the world cup we had done much better than expected. Then the cup of harmony came. We only just managed to make it out of the group stage with a lucky string of results, and then crashed out in the second round to the Greater Cotswold. Then came the Di Bradini cup for the youngsters. They did very well in group stage and then in the second round the crashed out to some minority side. One of their players also got stabbed, so maybe they have their excuses. Anyway what King Lucas has promised is if they don't win someone's getting maimed.

(OOC: puppet of Eastfield Lodge)

Manager: Sir John 'Lol' Graham: This is really his first experience in managing international football, but he did successfully manage VLC FC to two cups in Eastfield Lodge early on in his career. Has an annoying tendency to laugh loudly when winning.
Assistant Manager: Gordon Bilclough: Has no experience whatsoever and was chosen merely due to a random survey looking for an assisstant manager. Still, he seemed to fit in rather well.

23 random travelling fans will be chosen to play in the positions they play best in. This means that there will be no set formation. (OOC: For RP purposes, just use any number from 1-23 in reference to a player, e.g. 'Number 13 scores!'.)

Style Modifier: 0
Formation: it will be completely and utterly random.

If my opponent RPs first, he/she can do anything they want short of death.
(OOC: This will be similar to Southpasture Hotel's roster, because the two nations are so small they can be managed by the same management team, with no consequences, plus neither country has many professional players to form a proper team.)
