You can post an IC bid in the RP thread. Anyone is free to bid to host regardless of whether they entered a school. The NSCF 13 Championship Game was held in Yosmar, who has never participated in the competition.

Alright, thanks, your insight is greatly appreciated.

Heya,

I volunteer to score all of the playoffs, as it seems neither of my teams will make it this cycle (due to lack of RP, due to other RPs taking precedence). I would say the same for the OOC games, but I will be not available on next Tuesday or Wednesday, which messes with the scheduling.

Just putting myself out there.

In that case, here is my bid...

Liberty Stadium: Istria, Moravica
Image

Capacity of 70,000.

IC information: This stadium hosted the NSCF 12 championship game. It is also the host of the Istria Lions, one of the most popular teams in the Banijan Gridiron Football League. The domed stadium is used to hosting big events, and as it proved two years, would love to host the NSCF once again. Of course, the stadium is located in the city of Istria, the same city where Celestia Conference Champions Loyola-Istria play, though this stadium is located just 6 miles west of Loyola-Istria's home stadium.

Plans change, and now I'll be gone Wednesday - late Thursday, so I could score all the OOC games and the playoffs.

Sounds good. Thank you for volunteering. In the meantime, everybody should check the OP of the RP thread to make sure their nonconference games are listed. If any are not, telegram Cosumar ASAP so I can make sure everything is in order before scoring is handed over to Yeso.

Regarding the championship venue, committee members should expect a telegram shortly regarding voting. Obviously, bids are now closed.

The regular season is over! Congratulations to the following conference champions:

Imperial Military Academy
Raynor University
Utica University
Loyola University
South Seas University

You have qualified for the NSCF 14 Playoffs. As for the three remaining places, one will be the team with the highest OSPI. This looks like it will be Universite St. Croix, but we will wait for Osarius to update the spreadsheet to be certain. The remaining two spots will be voted on by the NSCF Committee.

I am telegramming committee members for nominations now, and the Playoff field should be set by the usual cut-off time on Tuesday. As will the match-ups for our three bowl games and the NSCF Championship venue. The postseason begins Thursday. Good luck to all competing schools.

You are correct.

Side note, if you're wondering why RCU and Stoneshore appear to have the same OSPI but are ranked incorrectly according to the established tiebreaker list (RCU should win the H2H tiebreaker)... well... these are the OSPI values when given to more than three decimal places.
Stoneshore College 0.610598
Ramusok Capital University 0.610561

Do with this information what you will.

If anyone has questions about the spreadsheet btw, just let me know and I can open it up so you can see all the calculations etc behind the scenes. I'll document it eventually so someone else can take care of updating it, just gotta find the time...

Speaking of which... I had hoped to see a few more defeats for Utica tbh. I effectively wrote off this season when I realised half way through that I don't really have time to write a decent RP lately. My role at work got expanded again. So yeah, apologies to anyone who feels robbed in that department. Hopefully I get tanked in the playoffs now. Curse of the championship/runner-up and all that.

...as you were.

Whether or not I actually ever use it, I for one am interested in such. Maybe because I have taught myself everything I know about spreadsheet use and I am curious.

Congrats, Banija. A well deserved victory as one of the few regular posting teams. I really enjoyed reading your accounts of the games throughout the season.

On a side note, thank you for (painfully) reminding me that SSU cannot win in that stadium. I will have to stop voting for that stadium to host the championship game. I jokes. But seriously....

Also, I'll get the ball rolling for next season. You up for a Loyola-South Seas rematch? SSU would love another game, and to the victor go the spoils--we'll come to that cursed stadium again...

Thanks! And comiserations to you. I loved reading through your RPs, and loved how you did both storylines and matchday reports :D

LOL I mean I try to interconnect everything as much as possible. And we can play South Seas University again at the Liberty Stadium- maybe the 3rd time is the charm for you guys?

Technically the game was played a few miles from campus, as Loyola's home stadium is the Istria Lightning Yard and the local professional team uses Liberty Stadium as their home(which hosted both the NSCF 12 and NSCF 14 Title games). Two football stadiums(one college one professional), one city. Gets confusing, I know :P

Congratulations to Banija and Loyola University, champions of NSCF 14! Commiserations to South Seas for coming so close after a fantastic season.

Thank you to everyone who RPed and participated, and especially Yesopalitha for scoring the postseason whilst your lovely commish was on vacation without internet.

Nominations for the season's awards (see RP thread OP) can be telegrammed to the NSCF nation. Hopefully we'll actually get enough to award winners this season!.
