I guess not. The funny thing to me is that the scores are released prior to the RP. My perspective has always been that if you create a unique approach, it differentiates, and creates momentum as people want to see what the next thing is. Did it work in NSCF 11 and 12, yes. 13, not quite, but I also spent much less effort procuring the storyline in 13 due to other things going on in life.

Still, I prefer to stand out from the crowd.

I was sad to see you not in the playoffs, Costa. I enjoyed the few times you destroyed my team, and I shit my pants when I saw your Roster post because it was really impressive. I appreciated the posts you made, to be honest. In other words, don't think your efforts went unnoticed.

Best of luck at your Bowl game, and I hope to see you next season.

The NSCF 13 Championship Game is set!

HUGE thank you to everybody that RP'd and scorinated conferences for making it a successful season.

Feel free to begin thinking about your nominations for the NSCF Awards (Most Outstanding Player, Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Special Teams Player of the Year, and Coach of the Year), which will be voted upon at the end of the season.

standings sheet updated, and ill finish updating the all-time standings sheet later this week probably (if not today)

I really need to edit this stuff so someone else can handle it if I'm not active... something for me to work on before NSCF 14.
Once it's all set up it's pretty straightforward tbh, but I always forget stuff.

Right. Thanks for the reminder. The awards escaped my mind with the World Cup and lots of RL stuff going on.

I'll telegram the nominees to all committee members as soon as I can, and hopefully we'll have our winners soon!

Updated rankings are also in the works.

Unfortunately, we never received enough votes to hand out NSCF 13 awards.

Now it is time to turn our attentions to NSCF 14. Updated rankings are here.

What are everybody's feelings about timing for opening sign-ups? Should we get going ASAP and possibly overlap with the World Cup a bit at the end, or delay to the end of Qualifying?

Can I transfer the ranking points I earned with BT to an Anglatian school now since I'm not using that account?

I don't think that would mesh well with established precedent. The NSCF rankings are school-specific rather than nation-specific. For example, Quebec has entered new secondary schools alongside St. Croix in several editions and none of them have inherited the rankings of their predecessors. So unless this Anglatian school is somehow an IC renaming of Bastille Tech, they would go in as a new school and be ranked as such.

Can confirm. I do change two out of three other schools a lot, because reasons.

I think personally we should aim for a start date (of actually playing matches) to be a few days after the end of the Cup of Harmony and the World Cup proper.

Idk when we'd open signups with that, but I'd assume we'd have to open signups probably around the middle of World Cup Qualifying?

Alright, looks like it's time to start over.

Also, about the start date, why not open sign ups after the World Bowl, right after the interest in football has risen because of that major event?

That sounds fair. It'll give us plenty of time to hold sign-ups, and the World Cup (qualifying, at least) should be over.
I don't know how long I'll be back, but I just thought I'd stop in and say hi, at least.

Maybe starting it while the WB is happening might be a good idea. Giving people enough time to sign up and then once it's over, we can proceed right away to NSCF.

The only thing I am worried about is the RP black hole that is the World Cup.

Assuming the first WC MD will commence by July at the latest... if we started NSCF the week after the World Bowl ends (the Final is May 15), that would give us approximately 4-5 weeks before any overlap. NSCF seasons typically last 6 weeks. This could work. If we proceed with this schedule, I would open sign-ups this weekend. The alternative is to wait to open sign-ups until during WCQ so we can start the season immediately once that winds down.

This works well.

Bear in mind that about 70% of teams have no reason to RP the last week (three matchdays or so) of an NSCF season, so the overlap should be minimal and will affect few. Even for someone like me, with my limited time of late, there would probably still be enough time to RP the NSCF playoffs AND the World Cup.

Good call, commish
