A corporate sponsor of somesort. So this is my question, what's the official status of corporate advertising when coming to NS Sports?

Your question has been answered pretty well before I saw it, but I want to weigh in on your, er, finding. Just to explain one perspective in this, some of us are glad to have a chance to simulate a sports league that doesn't have corporate sponsorship, but is based in the love of one's community and the free association of people to jointly develop their minds and bodies with playful competition.

The beauty of NS is that if people want to come up with companies, corporations, their industries and their logos to plaster all over their competitions, teams, boots, or whatever, then they can. Those who don't bother, don't bother. Simple :)

Hear, hear! I hate corporate sponsorship, and try to keep it as far away from my sports as I can

I'd like to have one of my country's trade unions or collectives sponsor a tournament, but I'm not so great with the graphics.

What happened to it?

Mangolana, the founder, hasn't put another one up yet? If he wants to, he will get around it.

I'm sorry if other people have already asked this.
I see on International Incidents and F7 people posting threads titled things like "(OOC) Survive the Zombie Apocalypse" or "(OOC) Fight the Evil Goblins" or things like that. And they have signup sheets, and people sign up with a character's name, occupation, nationality and things like that.

I want to do something like that, but in this forum, called something like "(OOC) Sign up for the Kardashiana national basketball team!" and people can post with their player/character's name, stats, position, experience and things like that. And then, hopefully, my country will have a full RP basketball team! (Made up of non-native players, of course, but that's what the Republic of Georgia did when they hired Brazilians to represent them in beach volleyball in the last Olympics. Remember?) And then my team can play in tournaments or whatever.

Can I do that? And is this the right forum for it?

It is, as I understand it. The "(OOC)" tag is fine but not necessary in this context, as you are in fact recruiting characters for an IC team, not recruiting nation-states to an OOC tournament. Still, if you want to make it OOC, or just have an OOC section of your post where you explain the Georgia thing, that's up to you.

But I can do that? And this is the right forum to do it, not F7 or II?

Yes, but you should know that you don't need to have a roster before you sign up for tournaments. I usually do it the other way around, personally.

I would suggest followibg the link in the OP of this thread to the Scorinators OOC discussion. Some players much more knowledgeable than I about the subject should be able to help you out there.

I have been searching around and didn't found any competition like the X-Games so, I'd like to ask if any country has made any competition involving sports such as skateboarding, street football and snowboarding.

That would actually be F7._

I'm thinking of starting an International Boxing League RP. Could someone walk me through the basics and nuances of xkorinate?

Would a 1930's era air race belong here, or in international incidents?

Probably II, sounds interesting though.

Aldares wrote:Can anyone explain to me the NS FootySim and it's formula input to me?

Formula input? I'd be happy to help but the version of nsnfs i'm using has a user inteface, so requires no creating of input at all. Unless you mean the skill/style marks? In which case, simple.

You can set the maximum skill at the top of the window, most people set it as 100 I believe, and then the skill of the team is simply how good it is. Closer to the max skill, the more chance of winning. Style is about how defensive or offensive teams are, from -5 as the most defensive, to 5 as the most offensive.

A 1930 era air race hmm, more of II if it is more of Rp then result base, but more of NS Sports if it is a result based want.

Could you direct me towards the NSFS with a user interface?

Sadly, I cannot, as I downloaded it a looooooong time ago. There should be a link somewhere in the later pages of the scorinator questions thread, which is also sticked. Or some kind soul will pop up with a link...
