If you're referring to a national league you can create a Newswire, where you can post matches and rosters.
If you're in a tournament, usually tournaments have a place for rosters.

Seeing as you aren't in the World Cup, nowhere currently. Wait until another competition pops up, and then place it where the host deems necessary.

Since it sounds like a general roster not associated with any particular tournament, I'd suggest making a factbook post (accessible from your nations' page).

If someone hacked my google account and I had my teamsheet uploaded there, I think the thought of someone editing it would be the least of my concerns.

In all football (soccer, to clarify) tournaments, the posting of a team roster adds towards your RP bonus so personally I have mine stored as a text file (with all the necessary square bracketted code and such) on a USB drive then for tournaments, I edit as appropriate, save, copy and paste to the thread.

The best thing about using a factbook for this is that you can see any code you use in action and it's permanently linked to your nation. That is the reason I'd recommend using the factbook for your needs.

But, someone could still hack your NS account and edit it if they're that determined to thwart your enjoyment of a role-playing game but luckily I believe there to be extremely few people with such pathetic desires.

Team modifiers are entirely down to personnel preference. They tend to range from -5 to 5, so if you see your national side as a defensive park the bus and hope for the best outfit you'll be wanting the negative numbers. If you favour attacking football then the other end of the scale is for you.

There are a couple of 'storefronts' that offer kits, have a little search and see which one you fancy. Although you may need to go back a few pages.

The last union World Cup was held in January, I believe, and the last league World Cup happened a few months ago. Rugby is not such a popular sport here, so there's usually only one league and one union Cup per year. However, in the Domestic Rugby Thread (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2549), you can post your standings and qualifiers for the SEASOGS international club championship.

Actually, its more that there are 2 different kinds of rugby (union and league) and participation in rugby events overlaps heavily with participation in the soccer World Cup, so only 1 rugby cup happens per cycle. There simply isn't enough time to do both in the same cycle, given the relatively short amount of time, typically, between (soccer) World Cups. There was a sevens World Cup at one point, but its been discontinued because otherwise it would take around 9 months to cycle through all of the rugby tournaments.

The next Rugby World Cup will be a Rugby Union one and it's likely that sign-ups will appear at some point after the current football world cup finals/cup of harmony have reached their respective conclusions.

I don't want to give a definitive answer as the NSRB president (Apox) and I haven't discussed when to open sign-ups at this point but the initial plan was to get a Rugby World Cup between each football one, alternating between union and league codes and I've had no information to suggest that this won't be the case this time around.

Can the host of a league (who is in charge of creating scores), also have a team in the league so long as they don't cheat with the scores?

Yes, it happens all the time.

In the later rounds of a tournament, the host usually finds a third party scorinator (usually somebody who is uninvolved or whose team has already been eliminated) to score their matches. In some tournaments (especially the association football World Cup), there are 2 hosts and each host takes on the scorination of their co-host's matches (however, World Cup hosts will still, usually, score half of their puppet's qualifying matches, if they elect to enter a puppet).

The recent surge in popularity of co-hosting (to the point that co-hosting seems to be becoming more commonplace than solo hosting) is likely attributable, at least in part, to the desire to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest, should one of the hosts perform well.

How does one create the "Code: SELECT ALL" box within a post so that nations signing up can easily fill out the 'form?" In case this is not clear, an example of one can be found in the first post in this thread:

By use of the

tags, minus the spaces before the second bracket of course. One can also simply press the button that says "Code" above the text box.

Would a registered players thread be useful? By registered players I mean a thread in which there will be listed all the players invented and their respective clubs so far. So, would it work?

That database would be too full to be useful.
For instance, right, I'll use myself as an example. Twenty-four clubs in my top division, the only ones I still have rosters for. Roughly twenty-three players per club. That's 552 players. Plus teams that were relegated still /have/ their players, so they'd still be in the database. Four a season, so you can throw another 92 onto that. And that's just from the past season - there's obviously a lot of others. Now I'm probably on the high-database end of the average, but still... multiply 644 by however many detailed associations there are.

It would be too large to be practical, and I can't see how it would be useful.
