when I use the command make in the xkoranate folder in linux, it says:

make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found.  Stop.

when I compile the .cpp file using g++ it says

Code: Select all

xkoranate.cpp:1:22: fatal error: QTextCodec: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.

can anyone help me on this? thanks!

You need to run qmake (the build system for Qt applications) to generate the Makefile. Also note that you’ll need to build it with Qt 4, not 5; if you have both installed, you’ll need to run qmake using the full path to the Qt 4 version, wherever it is on your system. If you don’t have qmake on your system, you need to install the Qt 4 development package from your distribution’s package manager.

Okay. I have never participated in a sports RP before and I don't know how to use scorinators. I am not sure if I will need to use one yet because I am not entirely sure how the race will be conducted. I imagine there would be a number of checkpoints in different cities and towns that the race travels through, but I want the things that happen between those checkpoints to be part of the RP as well.

Look around a bit at some of the other RPs here, to get an idea of what sports RPing is like. If you want it to be more of a Amazing Race-type of event, International Incidents might be a better place, as here it tends to be more "realistic" (so to speak) sporting events.

the whole uniform thing jsut adds some richness to the rp there are tons of free kit creators out there just type in uniform creator online

It is not necessary. I don't have uniforms for most of my teams, but it does make rosters look better. If you would like, there are several storefronts around, such as these.

No, you can always RP with the one you wish to have a better chance with while leaving the other in the dust. Not an uncommon practice.

Hmm, its been an awful long time since I last used xkorante and I once more am trying to get the hands of things again. Just wondering, when applying a cumulative bonus in a tournament how do you exactly add the bonuses? Do you just go back to the bonus screen before clicking on the dice button for the next matchday?

And might as well ask this question while I'm here. How do you guys generally conduct group draws for tournaments? Like methods, and I'm open to any suggestions.
