After their loss in the Intro. To Fire, the Odinex national team have now seen what it's like to play on the international level. The following is the roster that will be sent to the World Cup 51.

Starting 11:
Captain's info in green
Sub's in blue
postion, name, age, number
GK Owen Mason, 24, #12
Mason grew up watching footballers play from other countries. He trained to be a keeper from when he was a child and today, is an active participant in The "Salamar" which is the largest recreational league in the nation, and is the leading group protesting for a national league in the nation.

DEF Albert Bedwyr, 31, #26
Albert leads the back line, as the oldest member of the team. He played rugby for most of his life, but when he suffered a concussion in a game, a mentor offered him a less dangerous sport, and he used his toughness to excel in football.

DEF Haruto Dihn, 21, #3
Haruto moved to Odinex when he was 12 and made friends with Waldo Aengeus and began playing football with him in the rec. leagues. Haruto doesn't appear Odinese, but he plays with the intensity not seen by another.

DEF Waldo Aengeus, 21, #2
Waldo began playing football when he was 12. He began seriously pushing his abilities when he met Haruto Dihn (another Odinese player) and then began running and sponsoring local rec. leagues.

DEF Lawrie Fortunato, 24, #5
Lawrie hasn't played football long at all. He grew up mentored by his father, who was a world-class wrestler. His toughness makes him a prime center-back for the "Blue Thunder".

MID Demetrius Qusay, 25, #13
Demetrius is also part of the "Salamar" and is Owen Mason's best friend. He shot at Mason constantly during practice to up both of their skills. Demetrius is also the team's "clown". He always has something to say to make everyone laugh. Demetrius plays Attacking Mid for the team and scores many of the goals.

MID Rorie Wheland, 19, #7
Rorie has planned on playing football his entire life. He excelled because after he perfected his left leg (he plays Left Mid), he began perfecting his right leg to make him one of the most dynamic dribblers and passers on the team. Even though he is young, he has alot of potential to be great.

MID Regulus Clemente, 33, #11
Regulus is the icon of football in Odinex. He created the "Salamar", and is the head of Soccer Development in the country. He captains the squad from the Deep Mid spot, playing mainly defense, but taking most of the free kicks for set pieces.

MID Marcel Adlai, 23, #8
Marcel began playing Goalkeeper when he began football. After losing a few teeth in a rec. game, he tried something he was still able to be good at.

FWD Fabio Nando, 18, #18
Fabio is the young superstar of the team. Scoring 30 goals in 35 games for his rec. team, Regulus made him a top priority for his squad.

FWD Olaf Bernard, 29, #33
Olaf began playing football as a child. He is famous for scoring the winning goal of his rec. team, "Straht", to defeat "Salamar" for the first time. Olaf is ready to score as many goals as he can for his country.

SUBS:
GK Chang Caius, 20, #24
DEF James Albin, 19, #4
DEF Maclah Bent, 21, #6
MID Gad Lucas, 23, #10
MID Morpheus Adrian, 26, #20
FWD Manlio Gabin, 22, #1
FWD Haidar Kevan, 23, #9

The Odinex national team plays a 4-1-2-1-2 and wears a blue jersey with white pants and yellow socks. Their second jersey is yellow with blue pants and white socks.

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my goalscorers Y
Godmod scoring events N
Roleplay injuries to my players Y
Godmod injuries to my players N
Hand out yellow cards to my players Y
Hand out red cards to my players Y

The Babbage Islands World Cup 51 Roster
Updated after first half qualifying for caps, goals, and one transfer
Updated again to reflect status just before first group stage match

Nicknames: Bumblebees, Islanders
Colours: Yellow and black

Manager: Ganz Ijak (Cafundéu)
Style: +2.5
Formation: 4-6-0

Starting lineup

No: Player Age Pos Cap/Gol Club
1: Solveig Þorsteinsdóttir 33 GK 58/0 South Side AC
2: Carl DiFilippo 28 RB 55/1 Four Towers
3: Jerry Kirkpatrick 25 CD 32/1 Dunboor FC (Cafundéu)
4: Phyllis Reeves 31 CD 67/2 América (Cafundéu)
5: Matt Chauvin 26 LB 48/1 Tyrrin Royale (Tyrrin)
6: Marc Ducharme 22 CM 23/6 Bloomfield National
7: Orson Cook 27 RM 100/36 América (Cafundéu)
8: Tegan Nash (c) 30 AM 84/26 Clube Comercial (Cafundéu)
10: Kelli Alder 23 AM 43/22 Belgium FC
11: Patty Heatherly 28 LM 81/33 Bloomfield National
12: Glen Brown 26 CM 23/6 Marquez-Onwere (Candelaria And Marquez)

The Bumblebees have firmly established a strikerless 4-6-0 style as their principal formation.

Solveig shows no signs of relinquishing her hold as the #1 keeper. National team newcomers Bayer and Hanna will see only spot duty barring injury.

DiFilippo and Chauvin are stay-at-home fullbacks, with Kirkpatrick and Reeves providing the central defence. Aging long-time starter Freudigmann will see late-game action and an occasional start. Ballesteros, Marshall, and Rogers can all play outside or inside at need, and will each get their turns to start a couple of qualifiers.

Ducharme and Brown are the central midfielders, able to go forward for a six-player attack or drop back for a six-player defence. They represent a gamble for coach Ijak. Both are top-flight players on quality squads, but they have played sparingly together and lack the caps of other possible selectees. Backups are Desalliers and Voyer. Also, Hennicke plays both central and attacking midfield, and Alder is easily switched to this role with Sherman or Olson in the match.

The heart of the attack is the four forward midfielders, a highly-regarded quartet indeed. Cook and Heatherly have been paired for a number of years on the wings, with 150 caps between them. Alder plays a mobile nine-and-a-half role. And forward playmaker Nash does a bit of everything, all of it well. Hennicke is being groomed for this role, Jervis is better up than back, and both Sherman and Olson can play as a lone striker to change up the look.

Nash is the penalty-taker, and Cook the principal set pieces kicker.

Backups

No: Player Age Pos Cap/Gol Club
9: Debbie Sherman 25 FW 57/21 Bloomfield National
13: Norbert Bayer 32 GK 6/0 Greenville Rovers
14: Wilhelm Freudigmann 36 DF 88/4 A.F.F. (Cafundéu)
15: Jenifer Jervis 28 MF 21/3 Snowspire Communal (Sorthern Northland)
16: Roger Desalliers 30 MF 19/3 Athletic Khaldoon (Queer Poco el Mono Ara)
17: Veronika Hennicke 19 MF 20/7 Greenville Rovers
18: Étienne Voyer 21 MF 13/1 Southland FC

Tarrentum National Football Team Rosters: Tarrentum Falcons

Managerial Staff
Manager- Gregori Burindi has led the Napoliroma Imperials to five straight Tarrentum Premier League Cup Championships. Burindi successfully brought the Imperials into the TPL from the Armed Forces League (AFL) only 8 years ago and has found tremendous success since. His ability to help negotiate high-end contracts for the best footballers in Tarrentum has lent to the incredible success of the Imperials.
Assistant ManagerAlexander Italiana, the magnificent brother of Tarrentum’s Eternal Supreme President Borgia Italiana, has been a middling manager of FC Yuppers, in the TPL, for three years. His appointment is largely seen as politically and corporately focused as his nephew, Supreme President Cesare Italiana, was largely instrumental in putting his name forward. The Yupping Yuppers are also owned by Alexander’s food company, Yuppers…“For Supper!” (as the slogan goes).
Head CoachDelphine Gabriella Italiana, sister to Supreme President Cesare Italiana, Delphine is the only female coach in the TPL. Her credentials are beyond reproach however as she has lead the Krozuy Academics to three straight Cup Championship Matches (but has lost them all). Delphine was installed as the coach of the national team after the Imperials coach was hospitalized for food poisoning.

Starters names are bolded, Primary position denoted by ^^
(Name; Birth City, Tarrentum Premier League Football Club)

Strikers
Rubinu Warti; Lake Empress, Krozuy Academics (ST^^, RW) – Warti’s contributions to the Academics have been sporadic the past two years but his devotion and loyalty to Tarrentum have been well documented. He has won the coveted Most Patriotic and Loyal Footballer award the past four years. Age: 36, Goals: 4, Assists: 4
Henry Qund; Stroudsville, Tarburr, Krozuy Academics (RW^^, LW) – Qund is originally Tarburr by birth but was raised since the of age three in Tarrentum. He was granted official citizenship and birthright by the Supreme President on his 21st birthday in recognition to his already substantial contributions to the TPL. By that time Qund had already shown his great worth to the Academics by leading them in goals in only his third year in the TPL. Qund has tremendous speed and chip shot accuracy. Age: 27, Goals: 27, Assists: 4
Sandroni Sadroni; Apolln, FC Yuppers (LW^^, ST, RW) CAPTAIN – Sadroni has been a tour de force in the TPL since his emergence onto the national scene 12 years ago. Not a great finesse player but his ability to eye the opposing defensive set piece and find the open assist has led to his two MVP awards during the middle of his career. He’s lost a step since his rookie season but his grueling, physical play is something to watch. Age: 34, Goals: 2, Assists: 10
Garto Nicolli; Trumboi, Galitz FCA (RW, LW^^) – Nicolli has seen extensive time on the national level and has garnered a lot of experience playing in international friendlies. Nicolli’s contributions to Galitz have been minimized but have been impressive. In the 15 games he has appeared in during TPL matches, Galitz has recorded a goal or an assist in each one. He is a specialist with the corner kick. Age: 31, Goals: 7, Assists: 8
Victor Flavius Kulli; West Hughton, Napoliroma Imperials (LW, LM) – Kulli, nicknamed “Praetor” for his experience and leadership, was the first player acquired by Burindi in the Transfer Market once the Imperials began TPL play. His career before that was mostly spent with the Krozuy Academics. Praetor has been a great asset to the Imperials as he is the main contributor to Zastro’s goals during TPL play. It will be interesting to see how he contributes to the World Cup squad without Zastro demanding the ball every time an attack commences. Age: 38, Goals: 1, Assists: 27

Midfielders
Sforza Italiana; Napoliroma, Napole National University Griffons (NTCC) (CM^^, CMD) – The adored Sforza Italiana, youngest brother of Supreme President Cesare Italiana, won his assignment to the national team and World Cup roster amidst a great deal of controversy and tabloid coverage. His teammate, Stefano Nastromani, was always seen as the most accomplished collegiate athlete in the history of the Allied States of Tarrentum. However Italiana was a great player only sparingly during his career in college. His inclusion was seen as appeasement over skill. He has great speed but loses sight of open passes and opportunities easily. His lack of ball discipline also leads to a lot of yellow cards. Age: 20, Stats for last year’s NTCC season Goals: 2, Assists: 3
Stefano Nastromani; Pullo, Napole National University Griffons (NTCC) (LM^^, ST, LW) – Nastromani is widely seen and respected as the best collegiate player in the history of the Allied States of Tarrentum. His intelligence, quick feet and shot selection have made him a very dangerous weapon. Only 18, he will be the youngest ever player on a TPL club when he signs later this year. He has led the Griffons to 3 straight NTCC Championships. Age: 18, Stats for last year’s NTCC season Goals: 10, Assists: 12
Judasi Kypa; Upper Didi, FC Yuppers (RM^^, LM) – Kypa is the perfect finesse player. He rarely draws a card and has won the unofficial Lady Kristiana Trophy the past two years for his humanitarian contributions. Kypa is the consummate team player. Age: 27, Goals: 1, Assists: 5
Fredo Tulu; Bolonza, Napoliroma Imperials (CM^^, CB) – Tulu’s contributions to the Imperials have centered around the expert command of the midfield and direction of the set pieces. His inclusion on the national team is the subject of speculation and controversy as he has been linked to an affair with Delphine Italiana for the past six months. This has lost Tulu favor in the eyes of the Supreme President. Age: 35, Goals: 2
Rutgar Vincinz; Doria, Walli Walli FC (RM^^, LW) – Vincinz has helped Walli Walli finish in the top three of TPL tables this past year and has proven to be an effective captain of his club. He brings a menacing presence to field drawing a large amount of yellow cards. Age: 29, Goals: 7, Red Cards: 2
Borgia Callami; Apolln, Krozuy Academics (LM^^, RM) – Callami shows flashes of brilliance at times but is mostly seen as a solid footballer by most of the TPL reporters. Age: 32, Goals: 3, Assists: 2

Defenders
Treppen Uppenilli; Kuli Caffron, Galitz FC (RB^^, LB) – Uppenilli is a strong, intelligent defender that has helped Galitz to a respectable record this past year. He is great at drawing offside calls. He has also been voted the Sexiest Footballer in Tarrentum for three straight years. Age: 26, Goals: 2
Claudius Bacanelli; Krozuy, FC Yuppers (RCB^^, LCB, RB) – Bacanelli has provided the Yupping Yuppers a key defensive footballer who has helped the Yuppers move up in TPL tables. He is noted as one of the quickest defenders in the TPL. Age: 27
Justinian Tremani; Gallen, Krozuy Academics (LCB^^, LB) – Tremani has been voted the top Defensive Player in the TPL two out of the past three years. Tremani has learned to compensate his lack of speed with his excellent down-pitch vision. Age: 32
Olli Vaspa; Dardan, Napoliroma Imperials (LB^^, RB) – Vaspa has seen extensive time in the Imperials backfield due to his aggressiveness and quickness. Age: 25
Nico Lardorama; Trulin, Walli Walli FC (RCB^^, LCB) – Lardorama is known throughout the TPL for his intense and aggressive play. He has drawn a fair amount of yellow cards of the past season. Age: 30
Gregor Fluti; Vardin Mountain, Krozuy Academics (LB^^, RB) – Fluti has seen his stock rise along with Tremani on the Academics. Their play together is widely seen as a main reason for the Academics latest success. Age: 29
Sarudi Julian; Napoliroma, Illian Grasshoppers (LCB^^, RCB, LB) – Julian is the star player for the lowly Grasshoppers but has spent the majority of his time away from the club either training for the national team or appearing in his hit sitcom “You Wish You Were That Cool” which has been nominated for four Tarrentum Actors Association Awards. Age: 26
Walri Castanella; Yui, Galitz FC (RB^^, LB, CM) – Castanella has proven a boon to Galitz in his rookie season. His defensive awareness is in a league of its own and his ability to cut off the attack has been seen as the reason for Galitz’ recent success. Age: 21

Goalkeepers
Tremi Bodacello; Krozuy, Napoliroma Imperials – Bodacello has give the Imperials a strong anchor and reliable keeper throughout their championship run. He is especially strong on corner and penalty kick set pieces. Age: 30
Raspu Tucadi; Trulin, Krozuy Academics – Tucadi was recently acquired by the Academics but helped them once again reach the Cup Championship match. Age: 29

Background

Noticeably absent from the World Cup 51 squad is Jusef Zastromanami. After his selfish play and antics during Tarrentum’s first international tournament in Tolietdonia, Zastro was dropped from the team by manager Gregori Burindi. The Tarrentum Premier League has still not broken the gender barrier and is one of only a couple of sports in Tarrentum to still be gender-specific. This may be because of the low status of football in the nation but many think that is the behind-the-scenes workings of Gregori Burindi, a major force in the TPL.

Tarrentum is a nation made up of four former states and one protectorate (Meddicia), though the later is currently in a minor rebellion. The Allied States of Tarrentum share a great history with the Tarrentum Valley Imperium, who ruled the area hundreds of years ago. Napoliroma is the main metropolitan city in the nation and the site of all major sporting events.

Stadium
When Tarrentians are lucky to see a match in their nation it will be played at The Eternal Supreme President Borgia Italiana Sportplex in Napoliroma, Tarrentum (state).
Image
The Sportplex was built with pleasure in mind and holds Babbage Rules Football, NTCC games, “wife-tossing” events and TPL games. The seating is for well over 100,000 people but is only filled (and completely open) during the TPL Cup Finals and NTCC bowl games.

Sarzonia Stars

Manager: Franz Braddock (84 years old)
The Cafundelense World Cup Hall of Fame manager enters his third World Cup as Stars manager. Despite critics projections that he'd be one and done as manager, he has taken the Stars to three consecutive World Cup finals appearances and a shock fourth place finish.
Associate Manager/Manager-In-Waiting: James Potherington (52)
The Isselmerian-Nielander former manager of the Ernes now takes over as the associate manager and manager-in-waiting for the Stars. He guided Isselmere-Nieland to a World Cup finals appearance in the team's second World Cup qualifying campaign, but fell short in the team's third. His team also played to a 1-1-1 record against the Stars in the three editions of The Friendly War.
Assistant Manager: Diogo Avarel (42)
[i]Braddock's youthful apprentice joined the Cafundelense legend as one of two assistant managers, much to the chagrin of the Cafundelense football organisation. He remained after the other assistant, Ganz Ijak, left to become manager at The Babbage Islands.

Goalkeeping Coach: Horace Sandt (53)
Sandt, the lone holdover from the previous Stars managerial staff, has a storied history for the Sarzonian national team. He was the starting goalkeeper who led the Stars to the World Cup XXII title. During his tenure with the Stars, the team advanced to four consecutive semifinals, becoming just the third team to do so behind Rejistania and Eauz.

Squad Listing
(Note: Starters in BOLD. Team plays a 3-5-2 alignment with a plus-1 modifier.)

No. Name Position Height Weight
1 Cody Taylor GK 6'1" 175 pounds
Taylor, 26, signed with Porto Lacruz of Cafundéu's national league after leading the Woodstock Wild to a Sarzonian Football Confederation championship. He finished the year 18-5-1 with a 1.26 goals against average. He is known for having catlike reflexes and has played as a midfielder for a recreation league side.

2 Ben Davis D 5'10" 160 pounds
Davis, 33, is the former Stars captain. He previously served in that role for the Portland Timbers, whom he led to a Sarzonian Football Confederation championship. He prides himself on being able to shut down the opponent's most dangerous forward with combination of speed and smarts. Signed a contract with Atlético Jutense in Cafundéu's national league.

3 Mark Cundiff M 5'11, 175 pounds
Rugged, but clean, he often serves in a defensive midfield role but can also play the offensive midfielder role if called upon. His versatility with the Woodstock Wild earned him the call up to the big club.

4 George Maxwell D 6'5 225 pounds
Dubbed "the brick wall," Maxwell uses size to be a disruptive element as a defensive player. He's also used in an effort to score off headers and the 28-year-old picked up eight goals in 27 matches that way.

5 Tim Rodney M 5'9 150 pounds
Rodney, 31, plays bigger than his height. On the New Jerusalem Nobles, he plays a rugged fullback when the team plays a 3-5-2, but played as a defensive midfielder in a 4-4-2 alignment when the team suffered several injuries among its defensive players. With Sarzonia adopting a more attack-oriented team, he shifts up to play midfield.

6 George Morrison M 6'2 185 pounds
Drafted out of Joe Gibbs University, Morrison, 25, played for the Nicksia Knights in the SFC until he signed with KT Hotspur in Candelaria and Marquez. He is not a particularly pacey player, but has a cannon of a left leg. He will likely be substituted for a player with more flair if the Stars are trailing a match.

7 Tyler McIntosh D 5'11 165 pounds
The young McIntosh (24 years old) signed a contract with the Nicksia Knights and helped the team advance to the Sarzonian Football Confederation playoffs for the first time since 2005. He has improved by leaps and bounds under former Stars striker Anton Gregor, who manages in Nicksia.

8 Laura Grover M 5'6 125 pounds
Grover, 26, dispelled any questions about whether a woman should start for the Stars by drawing comparisons to Jenna Raven, a star player for both Sarzonia's men's and women's World Cup sides. She has strong scoring touch, notching 11 goals in 27 matches for the Woodstock Justice in Sarzonia's women's league. Her coach? You guessed it, Jenna Raven.

9 Ettore Salivani, Jr. M 5'10 155 pounds
The son of former Sarzonia national team standout and Pacitalian emigre Ettore Salivani, the younger Salivani retains his father's flair, but also picked up on his mother's preternatural calm. He also has outstanding ball skill and is surprisingly adept as a defensive player. Plays for América in Cafundéu's national league. Turned 26 the day before World Cup XLV.

11 Ted Philyaw D 5'11 145 pounds
Philyaw, 32, started for the Sarzonian national team during its last international competition (AOCAF XIX), helping lead the team to a shock second round appearance. Philyaw was recently named the captain of the Saugerties Snakes, owing to his leadership qualities. He's not the fleetest of foot, relying on positioning and anticipating opposing defenders' moves.

12 Colleen Barnaby D 5'8", 135 pounds
Barnaby is the second female representing the Sarzonian Football League, Sarzonia's women's professional league. She plays for the Portland Pride, which developed an intense rivalry with the Woodstock Justice. She has some trouble with more physical midfielders and forwards, but usually has the savvy to avoid problems. She's 30 years old.

13 Clayton Bocanegro M 6'1", 180 pounds
Bocanegro, 30, was a reserve for the Stars during AOCAF XIX and starts here. He is deft with the ball and serves as a playmaking midfielder for the Portland Timbers. He's also the designated corner and free kick taker with an educated right boot.

14 Carletta Ryan D 5'7 135 pounds
By far the most physical player in Sarzonian women's football, the 28-year-old has no problems mixing it up with women or men. Set a women's league record for most yellow cards and red cards in one season. Even former senior national team goon Spencer Hicks wouldn't mess with her.

15 Brad Tremblay M 5'9 162 pounds
Tremblay turned 25 earlier in the year. He has had trouble sticking with a team in the SFC before finally finding a home with the Portland Timbers. He is arguably the fastest player on the Stars and fires the hardest shot on the team, but his shot is not all that accurate.

16 Ben Crosley D 5'11" 170 pounds
The 31-year-old was also a reserve on Sarzonia's last competitive national side but will start here. He has had seven seasons of experience with the Tacoma Tigers and is a strong man-marker on the right side. His best asset is speed, though he's also learning the savvy that will help once his speed begins to go.

17 Matt Lynch F 6'3", 205 pounds
The 30-year-old was the top scorer for the Sarzonian national team during its AOCAF XIX appearance. His tall, lithe frame makes him an inviting target for more aggressive players who invariably find out he can take and dish out punishment. Recently signed a contract with A.F.F. in Cafundéu. Becomes team captain with the abdication of Davis.

18 Pete Weston M 5'10", 165 pounds
Weston, 23 brings a lot of energy and a great work rate to the table for the Saugerties Snakes. He is easily the hardest working player on the team. Brian Wilson intends to use Weston to provide a spark off the players' bench in the event the team plays lethargically.

19 Dave Spencer D 6'5", 225 pounds
Big and brawny, Spencer also plays a rather physical style that can knock midfielders and forwards off their game. Added to the squad in an effort to address The Holy Empire's physical style of play from the previous World Cup.

20 Colin Rudolph M 6'2", 215 pounds
A blend of physicality and skill gave Rudolph a tryout with the team. He earned it through his chemistry with other players on the squad. Was added to the squad in an effort to provide it with more depth players after an exhausting run through to the World Cup semifinals.

22 Kelvin Russell GK 5'11", 170 pounds
Yet another player from the AOCAF XIX squad, Russell is the number two goalkeeper for this squad. The 31-year-old has settled in well as a backup to Cody Taylor after watching the latter lead the team to back-to-back World Cup semifinals. He is known more for reading shots and positioning than his athleticism.

23 Dennis Crandall F 6'2", 200 pounds
The 22-year-old's sheer speed and elusiveness can surprise many defenders, and often does when he plays with the Nicksia Knights. With Zack Wilson suffering an international career-ending torn anterior cruciate ligament, Crandall becomes a starter up top.

24 Johan Lester F 6'5", 230 pounds
A target player, plain and simple, the 28-year-old does well with scoring on rebounds and crosses, but would not do well as a withdrawn forward. Usually brought in as a bench player. Would hamper Sarzonia's offensive system in the event he has to play a full 90 minutes.

27 Joel A'Hearn GK 6'2" 215 pounds
At 22 years old, A'Hearn is projected as a future starting goalkeeper for Sarzonia. He's being brought in to provide insurance if either Taylor or Russell go down, and to experience international play first hand.

The Tyrrinian National Football Team

The Stallions were very disappointed by their early exit from the Cup of Harmony last time around, and hope that this is not repeated in World Cup 51. They still retain a decent rank, and will try to return to the World Cup proper this time. Brigadier General Graig Montcalve will be on for at least one more year before the TCC looks for another manager. Montcalve has this year to prove that he can be successful on the international stage. NOTE TO ALL NATIONS WITH DOMESTIC LEAGUES: Any player that is not currently playing abroad is available for transfer.

Home Stadium: Remembrance Park, Tyrrin (city)
Capacity: 70,000
Remembrance Park is the home stadium of Tyrrin's top domestic team, Tyrrin Royale. It is located just north of downtown Tyrrin.

Kits (made by X-Spordiga in Somewhereistonia):
ImageImage

Starters are in bold and have their positions next to their names.

Goalkeepers

Ainsley Emir GK
Club: Mertag F.C.
Age: 35
Emir continues to dominate the goalkeeper position in Tyrrin, and may stay on for a few years to come. He has worked on his positioning in the offseason, and hopes to improve as a player. He also wants to take more of a leadership role in the team now that many of the old stars are gone.

Michael Mu
Club: Foroch Raiders
Age: 31
Mu has finally been recognized for his consistently good performance at the domestic level with a promotion to the international side. He is an experienced keeper who is willing to risk his body to make a save in traffic, making him excellent in situations such as free kicks and corner kicks.

Defenders

Kegan Diniz CB
Club: Porto Lacruz (Cafundeu)
Age: 25
Diniz was part of Icklyrri’s new generation of defensemen. That is, until he went to Porto Lacruz. His defensive awareness and smarts, combined with his knack for stopping skilled ball handlers, earned him notice from several international clubs. It also gave him a shot at being a member of the new generation of Tyrrinian international stars.

Melvyn Shahar CB
Club: Burningham City (Osarius)
Age: 25
Tyrrinians don’t hear much of Shahar, as he has been playing in Osarius for most of his professional career. However, he has been a staunch defender for the Stallions for the past two World Cups. He provides the team with size in the box on set pieces, as well as vocal leadership on the back line.

Tomi Diya RB
Club: Callisto City (Osarius)
Age: 24
Diya is taking the place of Yavuz Aonghas as the Stallions’ aggressive wing back. He has made a living supporting the attack out of the backfield, and has the speed as well as the defensive skill to play this role well. However, he still needs experience at the international level, so we will see if he can retain his starting position.

Scott Pierrick LB
Club: Skyte City (Queer Poco el Mono Ara)
Age: 33
As the oldest member of the Tyrrinian defense, Pierrick will bring experience to an otherwise young back line. He came in as the least experienced of the original World Cup 46 defensive squad, but is now the only member of that group to start for the Stallions. This may have to do with the fact that he put most of the original drama that was around early in his career behind him. He lacks the speed of his fellow defenders, but his talent and experience let him hold the starting job.

Marty Ruaridh
Club: Kowa Foresters
Age: 33
Ruaridh is another veteran Tyrrinian defenseman, though he never saw much starting time, mostly due to injury. Now he will provide depth to the defense, probably to relieve Diya or Diniz when a more experienced player is needed, but he lacks the stamina to start a match.

Arne Duke
Club: Oclia Mariners
Age: 26
The formidable Duke saw quite a bit of playing time in the Cup of Harmony, where he rediscovered his love for bird watching. Many were surprised that such a tough defender could enjoy avian activities, but don’t be fooled; Duke will be the muscle that comes off the bench late in games to wear down the opposing attack. With this power comes many fouls, so when he is off the bench, watch out.

Levi Abdul-Hamid
Club: Kowa Foresters
Age: 31
Abdul-Hamid helped anchor an excellent Forester defense last season, and earned a national team spot because of it. He had the unique experience of working closely with Ursine Marra o Eastdale, with whom he formed one of the top defenses in the league. He probably won’t see much playing time, but in his words, “At my age, this is an honor that I will take, regardless of the amount of time on the field I get.”

Midfielders

Deandre Rodrigo LM
Club: Mertag F.C.
Age: 27
Rodrigo earned the Most Valuable Player award last season for his excellent leadership of Mertag, helping them to earn second place in the league for the second time in a row. He is an excellent distributor and passer, but his only weakness is lack of physical play. Montcalve hopes that he will bond with Booker to form an unstoppable midfield combination.

Marcius Booker CM
Club: Oclia Mariners
Age: 24
Booker captains Oclia Mariners, and led the team to a league championship two seasons ago. He is a very similar player to Rodrigo in that his strengths are passing and leadership, but where Rodrigo lacks in physicality, Booker makes up for it with resolute toughness. He will be in charge of setting up the midfield on the attack as well as organizing it in defense.

Lorenz Raimondo RM
Club: Hainac (Unreal229)
Age: 29
Raimondo looks to display his incredible footwork again this year, as well as crank up the goal scoring pace a bit. Rumor has it that he is getting tired of playing for Hainac, and he may be returning to play in Tyrrin in the near future. Regardless, Raimondo will be an integral part of the Tyrrinian midfield, but he needs to work on his defense a bit.

Rio Fortunado CAM
Club: Greeningham City (Osarius)
Age: 26
Fortunado is one of the most talented members of the Tyrrinian national team, and will take the role of Alan Fionnlagh as the setup man for Willem on the attack. He is now contentedly playing in Osarius, which is an experience that has benefited him greatly. Look for him to create more scoring opportunities with slashing runs into and around the box.

Emmerich Gerd
Club: Icklyrri Icebirds
Age: 29
With the arrival of Hosni Hyginos as the Icebirds’ manager, a new system emphasizing more of a midfield strategy was brought in. Gerd was central in this scheme, leading the team to a much better finish than it had the year before. He is still very defensively oriented, so expect him to be brought in at defensive situations.

Arcady Vincenzo
Club: Racaw Sultan
Age: 28
Vincenzo is the polar opposite of Gerd as far as midfielders go. Playing under Racaw’s all-out attacking strategy, Vincenzo almost exclusively deals in moving the ball up the field. Many questioned the decision to put him on the national team, and wondered if getting rid of all the old midfielders was worth it just to bring in inexperienced players like Vincenzo. He will probably see playing time in attacking situations when the team is down by a lot.

Yannic Jokum
Club: AFC Hollybrent (Osarius)
Age: 28
Jokum was the most controversial add to the national team. Most Tyrrinians had never even heard of him, and he really hasn’t done anything of note in Osarius. His speed and versatility will probably see him on the field in some situations, but his lack of outstanding skill will limit his minutes.

Strikers

Michael Willem RS (Captain)
Club: Ousevale Borough (Krytenia)
Age: 31
Willem had another excellent season with Ousevale Borough, helping them secure second place in the new Liga Calania. Willem continues to play at a rate equivalent to the best strikers in the world, even if he isn’t recognized as one. However, Montcalve has decided to pair him with another striker this time around, but this has less to do with Willem’s play than the other player’s skill.

Bernard Brecht LS
Club: Iclyrri Icebirds
Age: 31
Brecht is the player who will be pairing with Willem on the attack for the Stallions. He played very well in the Cup of Harmony, and earned a starting spot. As he is no longer the rookie of the team, Brecht now has the experience to match his skill. And besides, who doesn’t love a good “Burned, Bernd, Burned, Bernd!” chant in Remembrance Park?

Chase Koit
Club: Racaw Sultan
Age: 25
Koit is an excellent finisher, as well as a team leader for Racaw Sultan. As a longtime member of the Racaw system of play, goal scoring has always been emphasized, and Koit has been their main method of carrying out this objective. Some say he pulls the trigger a bit too often, sometimes taking shots when it wasn’t entirely necessary.

Zia Thorvald
Club: Coranto FC
Age: 28
Thorvald was the top goal scorer in the Commander’s League last season with 23 goals in 22 games. Most agree that he is the most talented striker playing in Tyrrin right now, and the only reason he isn’t starting is because Brecht has more World Cup experience. Thorvald will be most likely to come off the bench, and will probably relieve Willem once the Stallions are up by a lot.

Official Lithatrian World Cup 51 Squad

Ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of the Football Association of Lithatrius, it is my pleasure to unveil the official squad for the nation of Lithatrius for the 51st World Cup!

Coach:
Coach - Janus Kiliski
In charge of the national team for 11 years now, and managed them at our first (and last) World Cup. Prioritises his job before anything else, the national team are very fortunate to be able to have Janus Kiliski in charge.

Goalkeepers:
#1 - Aleksei Shura Pos: Goalkeeper; Age: 29; Height: 6"1'; Weight: 13 stone, 7 pounds
Aleksei Shura is a confident, young goalkeeper at the top of his game. Having played for the nation for 7 years now, he has obtained 47 caps, conceding just 29 goals and keeping 28 clean sheets.

#12 - Luka Tite Pos: Goalkeeper; Age: 21; Height: 5"9'; Weight: 10 stone, 6 pounds
Luka Tite is the youngest member of this squad. He has been the captain of the Under-21 team since he was 17. He has only played in one international match for the first team, a 2-0 victory over Lithatrian protectorate, Woodhurst, where he displayed a solid performance. Still a surprise pick for the tournament, but many think he is one for the future.

Defenders:
#2 - Andrey Vitya Pos: Left Back; Age: 24; Height: 5"11'; Weight: 11 stone, 2 pounds
Andrey Vitya has been a consistently strong member of the team since he was 18, being brought up from the Under-21's early. With 32 caps in just 6 years, many are anticipating him to become the next captain of the team. Scoring only 2 goals in his time, he is not the sort of defender to push forward on many occasions.

#3 - Dmitry Isidor [CAPTAIN] Pos: Centre Back; Age: 31; Height: 6"5'; Weight: 10 stone, 4 pounds
One of the more veteran players, Dmitry Isidor has been a reliable performer for many years. 13 years and 72 caps put Isidor in the top 5 players in Lithatrian history in terms of number of caps. Strong, fast and solid, his performances remain steady, but some critics are unfairly claiming that his ability is declining.

#4 - Lyosha Pyotr Pos: Right Back; Age: 27; Height: 6"1'; Weight: 13 stone, 8 pounds
A tough, intelligent player, very few players can read the game better than Lyosha Pyotr. With 45 caps and 7 goals, he is the most prolific defender in the squad in terms of goals, and he is expected to have a good tournament.

#13 - Miroslav Maks Pos: Left Back; Age: 27; Height: 5"12'; Weight: 15 stone, 11 pounds
Miroslav Maks is a short but heavy player, notorious for his ability in defending set pieces. Fast for his size and well-balanced on both left and right feet, Maks is predicted to be strong once again.

#14 - Fyodor Rolan Pos: Centre Back; Age: 21; Height: 6"4'; Weight: 10 stone, 5 pounds
Tall, light and very effective in the air, Fyodor Rolan has been an effective player over the last couple of years. Called up to the squad for the first time in a major tournament, some sports critics are doubting Rolan's ability to perform on the big stage.

#15 - Lazar Maks Pos: Right Back; Age: 23; Height: 6"5'; Weight: 9 stone, 10 pounds
The younger brother of Miroslav Maks, substitute centre-back, Lazar is four years younger, and unfortunately shows 4 years less experience. Tall and light, he doesn't have the crunching tackle that his brother does, but has still performed well recently. Unpopular amongst the Lithatrian sporting community due to his straight-talking and crude language.

Midfielders:
#5 - Dmitri Vladlen Pos: Defensive Midfield; Age: 24; Height: 6"8'; Weight: 15 stone, 13 pounds
Very tall, very heavy, Dmitri Vladlen is the workhorse of the squad, combining strength with a strong tackle and superb fitness. One opponent recently described him as "an absolute terror to run towards, and it's like hitting a brick wall!"

#6 - Nikolai Pyotr Pos: Defensive Midfield; Age: 28; Height: 5"8'; Weight: 11 stone, 1 pounds
Short and light, Pyotr is able step inside quickly and can produce a surprisingly tough tackle for someone his size. Critics are anticipating a good tournament for him, and to get many more caps onto the 34 that he has already won.

#7 - Nikita Artyom [VICE-CAPTAIN] Pos: Left Midfield; Age: 22; Height: 6"1'; Weight: 12 stone, 3 pounds
Strong, tall, fast - Nikita Artyom shows all of the good skills required by wingers. Friendly, he's also highly involved in charity work, and is the Vice-Captain of the team, despite his tender years.

#8 - Arseniy Vikenti Pos: Right Midfield; Age: 29; Height: 6"6'; Weight: 15 stone, 10 pounds
Heavy, strong, effective cross. These are the three things to describe Vikenti, the polar opposite of Artyom from the other side of the field. One of the oldest members of the team, he's intelligent, very good at reading the game, and it is expected that most of the teams' play will revolve around him.

#9 - Varlaam Illarion Pos: Centre Midfield; Age: 23; Height: 6"6'; Weight: 13 stone, 5 pounds
A young player, he's tall and fairly light, with the intention of becoming the captain of the team. Mentally strong, ambitious and very skilful, many critics are citing him as the potential next captain.

#16 - Yevgeni Kuzma Pos: Defensive Midfield; Age: 21; Height: 6"3'; Weight: 11 stone, 10 pounds
Just out of the Under-21 squad that reached the Quarter-Finals, many believe that Kuzma is the future replacement for the aging Nikolai Pyotr. With 7 caps, he is still relatively unexperienced, but he is defintely one for the future, especially with his deft touch relative to someone his size.

#17 - Terenti Lev Pos: Defensive Midfield; Age: 30; Height: 5"11'; Weight: 10 stone, 5 pounds
Terenti Lev is one of the oldest members of the team. Fast, reliable and tough as old boots, Lev is jokily referred to as "Grandad" amongst the team, despite being well respected. Is planning on retiring after this tournament, and joining the coaching staff. The most capped player in Lithatrian history, with a monumental 115 caps.

#18 - Misha Leontiy Pos: Left Midfield; Age: 26; Height: 6"1'; Weight: 15 stone, 6 pounds
Misha Leonity is your stereotypical player - well-capped, not too tall, but very heavy. Fast, effective, and popular, some are baffled that he isn't starting. However, with Artyom in the squad, Leontiy is going to have to do well to get in.

#19 - Georgiy Khariton Pos: Right Midfield; Age: 23; Height: 5"12'; Weight: 12 stone, 8 pounds
Khariton is a young, fast, effective player with much potential. Not quite 6 foot, he's able to weave in and out of players comfortably, and has an excellent cross and first touch. Many think that he will be the replacement for the aging Vikenti.

#20 - Lavrenti Grisha Pos: Centre Midfield; Age: 25; Height: 6"2'; Weight: 9 stone, 2 pounds
Grisha is one of the weaker members of the squad, but is still very effective when he plays. Very light, and fairly tall, he has an excellent shot, with a total of 47 goals in 53 games.

Forwards:
#10 - Kenya Onisim Pos: Centre Forward; Age: 29; Height: 5"9'; Weight: 12 stone, 12 pounds
Experienced, powerful, effective. Three words that describe Onisim down to a tee. 76 goals in 93 games, but humble in the way he does things, he has a deft first touch and a strong shot.

#11 - Nikolai Makar Pos: Centre Forward; Age: 21; Height: 5"8'; Weight: 13 stone, 12 pounds
If he was just a little taller, Nikolai Makar would have the potential to be one of the best players in the world. Some have described him as "hypnotic to watch", and he has more or less ultimate skill. Very good at reading the game, definitely one for the future.

#21 - Anatoli Genya Pos: Centre Forward; Age: 22; Height: 5"9'; Weight: 14 stone, 2 pounds
Anatoli Genya is a very effective, young forward, with a lot of potential for the future. With Onisim retiring after this World Cup, Genya should become a first team regular within the next 6 to 8 months.

Managerial team:

Manager: Ronald Caesar. He is the most successful modern manager of all time in the country, and his titles include winning the PELSF Football Championships a grand total of 7 times, three of them came with Benton FC during his first time as manager. The other four came as part of the quad-triple, which has only occurred once in PELSF region so far. This involves one team taking the National League, the National Cup and the PELSF Football Champioships for four times in a row. He also managed the Half Boy and Copportopia national teams, and both teams won the PELSF IF Trophy.
Ass. Manager: Vladimir O'Shea
First Team Coach: Adam Loftus

Team: (although I will most of the time post a team line-up for each match, so use that first). Starters are in bold.

Strikers:
Shabeen Ahmad III (CF and WF) (Captain): plays for RGS Athletic, he was one of the rising stars of the youth league and cup competitions, Shabeen Ahmad Jnr has penned a contract that made him the youngest footballer to turn professional in the top flight. Top scorer for the international team so far. Age: 26, Goals scored: 64
Sameer Ahmad (CF and L&R MF): plays for Cleopatrana FC in Delaclava, record signing for the 2nd Divison side St. Bartholomew Wanderers; 2nd Division player of the year twice. He was dropped from the starting line-up halfway thorugh WC 49 Qualifying due to his lack of goals (3 compared to his brother's 19 at that point). He is overshadowed by his brother, but has found a move away from VLC FC to prove his worth. And now after Dylan Bell has been permanently excluded from international football, he has gone up to starting striker once more. Age: 24, Goals Scored: 10
Chris Lau (CF and WF): plays for RGS Athletic. He rarely plays in the national team, but is itching to get away from his bench role at his club team to play first team somewhere else. Age: 29, Goals Scored: 6
Adam Johnson (CF): Plays for WB Albion. First team at home, he does have a bit of flair, but still has quite a good eye for opportunities, albeit the fact that he hasn't scored many at all, but the fact that he is where he is is good enough. Age: 25, Goals Scored: 1
Robert Andrews (CF and WF): Plays for NT United. The newest addition to the squad, he comes to take the space of Sameer Ahmad who has moved on to the starting eleven. Relatively young, but he did play in the side that won the Daiden Premier Division in its first full professional season. Age: 22, Goals Scored: 0

Midfielders:
James Tarpy (L&R MF, DMF,can also play WF): plays for NT United. Does play in quite a few positions, but his usual position is on the flank. He is quite a tall player, at 192 cm tall, but he hates using his head unless he finds himself inside the box somehow. Age: 31, Goals Scored: 3
James Scott (all of midfield): plays for FM Town. Goals Scored: 0
Daniel Scott (all of midfield): plays for FM Town. These two are twins (not identical, thankfully) and they both play for the same team, so there is a lot of competition between these two for a chance to score and outplay the other. Both are 30 years old. Goals Scored: 0
Ben Maddison (L&R MF, AMF, can also play in WF): plays for SS City. Voted Fairest Player of the season at least three times, whilst playing for a multitude of clubs, with five teams taking him on loan for half a season. He hasn't actually chosen which team to play for yet, but he is sticking with SS City at the moment, considering they are the first team to sign him and they did that just recently. Age: 25, Goals Scored: 1
Thomas O'Henly (all of midfield): plays for Salaga in QPeMA. At 21 years of age, this kid is the youngest player in the team, but still hasn't played in the top flight. He's only here due to his potential. Goals Scored: 2
Alex Gallagher (all of midfield): plays for SS City. Goals Scored: 0
Jack Gallagher (all of midfield): plays for Macaronia FC. Another set of twins, identical this time, and also a set of really bad troublemakers. Combined these two have had five times as many more cards than the rest of the players in the team combined. In seven out of ten matches one of these two play, there is a yellow card involved. One in every twenty matches ends up with one of these two being sent off. Ages: 25, Goals Scored: 0
Kyle Etherington (L&R MF): plays for NT United. Quite the opposite of the above two. He hasn't had a card in his life, yet 19% of the opposition players who tackle him get a red card. The percentage may look small, but still significant. He has quick feet, and can move the ball around basically anyone. Not very team-minded on the other hand, so is a bit of a ball hog. Age: 27, Goals Scored: 0

Defenders:
David Patterson (RB and CB) (Vice-Captain): plays for WB Albion. The tall man at the back, but he is also a very good weightlifter. He is good-tempered, but he has once thrown an opposition player over his net and into the advertising boards. Needless to say he was suspended for a month after that rather odd incident. But that was a rare incident, he usually doesn't do that. Age: 31, Goals Scored: 1
Geoff Wood (CB): plays for UR Town. Little is known about this ex-criminal turned football star. He was done for shoplifting, drugs, murder and desertion from the army, but all in different countries. This guy is technically a citizen of around 500 nations, so he could hide away in any one of them. Now he has a tracking chip drilled into his skull, so he can't hide for long. Still, he does appear around incidents in foreign changing rooms when something gets stolen. Age: 29, Goals Scored: 1
Dimitar Klitschko (all of defence): plays for Seniors FC. Rumour has it that he is a zombie, but one thing is for sure; there was a Dimitar Klitschko born more than a century before the onset of the first World Cup, and he had no death certificate. And this Dimitar has no birth certificate, so no-one knows how old he is. He is quite fast and agile, but he could just have tons of operations done on him. He is also the key defender for the senior (80+) national team. Age: 437, the only quadcentenarian in the commonwealth. Goals Scored: 1
Leonardo Williams (LB and RB): plays for Monksville United. Cousin of Westmeadow Tavern center forward Emily Williams, but they play at nearly the opposite ends of the pitch. When playing against each other, he has injured her once, and that was quite a small injury she got. Still, he does get involved in the game, even if it means that he slides a lot in an attempt to get the ball. He has been promoted from the bench in light of the recent retirement of former captain Matthew Lawrence. Age: 27, Goals Scored: 0
John Irvine (LB and RB): plays for Macaronia FC. This guy demands money every time someone forces him to speak. This does present some problems on the pitch, so he isn't that effective when it comes to teamwork. Still, he is one of the richest players on the team. Age: 30, Goals Scored: 0
Wayne Brookes (All of defence): plays for UR Town. He was voted Debuting Player of the Year after Shabeen Ahmad Jnr was awarded it. But nowadays, he lacks vitality, probably because he plays with a bionic arm and leg, but this does give him a ferocious tackle, often breaking other players legs in the course of doing his job. When he does take a shot at the other end, it usually forces everyone to get out of the way, but it also makes holes in the back of the net, and is too fast for some referees to see, so that's why he's only scored one recorded goal. Age: 25, Goals Scored: 4
Jane Williamson (All of defence): plays for St. Bartholomews Wanderers. Currently the only (and the first) girl on the team, she is rather small, but what she lacks in size, she makes up for in speed and ferocity. Is prone to receiving a few cards now and then, but almost always plays clean. Age: 22, Goals Scored: 1

Goalkeepers:
Aidan Jagger: plays for WB Albion. He has scored a goal in the WC 49, but this was just down to pure luck (at least everyone hopes it was) and then two more the following WC (eek). One of the star goalies in the squad, he has proved himself to be reliable, time and time again (except from that one point where he accidentally threw the ball into his own net). Age: 28, Goals Scored: 3
Matthew Barnet: plays for Sparta U Gladiators in Kalasion. A reserve goalie who is, more often than not, is likened to as the perennial bench warmer. Age: 25, Goals Scored: 1
Bennett Wood: plays for RGS Athletic. This guy has done a great job in being the last line of defense for the country's top club team, but this season his team haven't done a great deal up front negating his fine work at the back. Age: 30, Goals Scored: 1

Total Goal Tally (retired players only) (all competitons):
Dylan Bell: 34
Matthew Lawrence: 7

Formation: Formation: 4-1-2-1-2 (names are examples)

-------------Sameer Ahmad-------------Shabeen Ahmad Jnr

------------------------James Scott (AMF)
--------Ben Maddison----------------------James Tarpy

------------------------Daniel Scott (DMF)

Zombiee's Roster:

We play in a 4-3-3 formation, and the coach is Krum Johnsom.

STYLE OF PLAY: +4

The Zombiee’s team roster is:

Starters-

F Randell Klinetob 24- He plays for Great Bone during the Zombiee league, and is an average player. A good attacking forward, he is very violent and short tempered, as seen by his two red cards and seven yellow cards from last season, which was 22 games. His shots are somewhat weak, but very accurate, but he is known for his phenomenal ball handling and passing abilities. He and Eric Wybenga are very tense towards each other. He currently is suffering from a sprained ankle, and won’t recover until match day three or four.

F Erich Kalen 26- Kalen is a great teammate, but could definitely be a ball-hog because of his skills. He ripped apart the league with his Hauntspot team last season, scoring 19 goals in 22 games, including two hat tricks. He is a clean player, with only one yellow card in his lifetime. Even with his great skills, he prefers to pass the ball to a teammate rather than shoot it so much. In fact, his coach, Young Trilling, actually had to make a drill where Kalen was forbidden to pass once he got inside the box. He had a breakout cup at the Introduction of Fire, scoring around forty percent of the Zombiee’s goals.

F Jarrett Reveal 31- A veteran with a lot of stories, Reveal is a great shooter, with a magic touch. He has been traded often though, because he often gets into fights with teammates. In the last five years, he has played for 4 teams, most noticeably a stop in Hauntspot for 9 games. Surprisingly enough, he and Kalen became friends, but everyone else hated him. Quite a ball-hog, Reveal plays erratically, some days looking like the next Kalen, some days looking like he wouldn’t make the imaginary under-21 team. Reveal didn’t get to play too much during the Baptism of Fire because the team went to a 3-5-2 formation, and Kalen and Creamer were the starters.

MF Russ McCullough 27- The most experienced of a young group of midfielders, Russ is most famous for his controversial ad for a television set, saying that setting it up was so simple a “Zombiee could do it.” He then had to have protection for a month from raging Undead.
He is a great mentor for all of the midfielders, and passes the ball to everyone. He was also voted “Best Teammate”, at the Zombiee league break (similar to the All-Star break for baseball).

MF Alphonse Groeschel 23- The Groester, as he is known as by teammates, was a average player until he had a breakout season with South Coffin. Now a better player and defender, he is truly a force to be reckoned with, and isn’t afraid to get dirty. Surprisingly, he wants to be a kindergarten teacher.
“Red card! Go sit in the time-out chair… NOW!!!”

MF Santo Ennish 28- Ennish is a skilled ball handler, but lacks in the shooting and defending departments. He is a great guy to hang out with, and is very open. He loves the atmosphere of Zombiee City, so he plays there, for a division II team, and makes only $S100, 000 a year, probably a tenth of what he could be making. He is a replacement for Jonas Dollings, and was selected because he also had “magic feet.”

D Tommie Pagley 37- Pagley is a great player to build a defense around, because he can easily defend half the field, and is a shutdown defender close up. With seemingly limitless reserves of stamina, he holds the mile and ten mile Undeadzombiee records. He plans, if the 2nd Track Championships don’t collide with the regular season, to participate in those.
Pagley is known for his love of money. He has a shrine in his house dedicated to money. He has even made up (or discovered the existence of, if you ask him) the god of money, Cha-Ching. Personality tests have shown him to be slightly unstable. He was an above average performer at the Baptism of Fire, and is expected to play better in the World Cup.

D Carl Kilburn 26- Kilburn was recently discovered by Skulltown, and hired for a cheap $S5,000 a game, which would equal $142,670 a year, a cheap price considering that for only the Baptism of Fire, Kilburn will be paid $2,594,000. He was at first excited when he made the team, but quickly turned bitter when he found out he made less than 10% of the average player made, even though he was a starter. His frequent complaining made him a sub, and he complained more, so he was traded to North Coffin to end the year. Not much is known about his skills from playing in only 5 games, but the coaches took a gamble, and are praying it pays off. During the Baptism of Fire, he excelled, especially defensively, and is a tough block to move, or get past.

D Craig Hofer 29- Hofer is one of the middle defenders for the team along with Pagley, and is ranked at #4 in the Zombiee league defensively. A great player, he is a shy person away from the pitch. He occasionally takes the ball very far downfield, and had 12 assists in 22 games, 1st for defenders. If you get into his private circle, he turns hilarious, but in a kind, not sarcastic way. An above average defender overall, but starting because of his offensive boost. This has been pretty critical to the Zombiee squad, this special “mixed positions” team, with midfielders acting as forwards, and defenders moving up.

D Antonio Blanding 28- Blanding is an above average defender, with a knack for annoying people. He isn’t flashy on field, but gets the job done. Off field, though, he is immediately recognized by his gold suits, gold cars, gold cell, and gold everything else. This annoyed his teammates of his rookie team, Grave Diger, he actually was chased for two miles, until he got to the nearest police station. He has a $S100,000,000 ($129,700,000) house, painted gold of course. He did not stand out in either a good or bad way in the Introduction of Fire.

GK El Bailido 21- El is mad at Armour, and at the coaches, because he thought he should have been the starter. Very luckily, another goalkeeper wasn’t found, and he is still the second string goalie. The reason this was so lucky is that, at the time of this writing, he has let in one goal in three games, and led the Zombiee’s to the finals of the Introduction of Fire! He now is started, but still mad.

Subs:

F Josh Creamer 11- No this isn’t a typo. A prototype from the AGMP (Advanced Genetic Mutation Pill), he has been showing remarkable talent and flashes of intelligence during the Baptism of Fire. He gives the impression of a wide eyed boy, but is a fierce competitor.
AGMP is a project that is trying to find “immortality” for people. There are three versions of the pill, but only two are available to the public, Version 1.0, and 1.1. They both are used to expand a person’s lifetime by 500%, but, especially in version 1.0, decrease physical function.

Version 2.0, the unreleased version, is being tested on Creamer, only increases your life by 150%, but also increases physical and mental capacities by 200%, and is worth roughly three times as much as Version 1.1, the latest to the public.

F Carlos Nicks 24- This is another case of a huge ego causing a great player to fall. He wanted to play for Hauntspot during the Zombiee league season, and was forced to sit on the bench. His tremendous U-18 tapes convinced coaches to check him out. They finally decided that since the forwards were so good Nicks could start in place of Jonas Dollings, as a midfielder. But Nicks wanted to play forward, and so he is stuck on the bench as fourth forward. He has seen a little bit of playing time, and was underwhelming when he played.

F Colton Herschaft 37- Colton was a great player at his prime, including a 11-game scoring streak that propelled Hauntspot into a final from sixth place in 7 games. Now he is waning, but still was good enough to make the finals.
Long ago, he decided to become a defensive forward, because being a pure striker didn’t appeal to him. He is now the #7 defensive forward in the Zombiee league. His team right now is North Coffin. He didn’t play in the Baptism of Fire, so don’t expect him to in the World Cup.

MF Jonas Dollings 19- Straight out of playing U-18 ball at his local parks, and becoming a one-man football show, dribbling left and right, Dollings was selected for the national team. He has never played any competition other than the U-18 games, but scouts were convinced he was so good; they signed him on the spot, and convinced the coach to let him start. This will be subject to change, and expect it to come very quickly if he doesn’t perform. He showed flashes of potential during the Baptism of Fire, but is better for the U-21 team, for the time being.

MF Man Dolven 21- Man was eligible for the U-21 World Cup, but didn’t participate, saying, “I really needed to train with the World Cup team, and Ghoston. That has worked out for him, since he has led Ghoston to 5-0-2 start, and will be the fifth midfielder. Man can take down any forward that heads his way, and isn’t too bad defensively either.

D Ellsworth Morkve 25- The second-youngest defender, Morkve has yet to mature. He has a great mentor in Craig Hofer, and is expected to start once Tommie Pagley retires. Morkve isn’t a great runner, so he is good at a side slot, and often requires Pagley to cover a bit of his area too, when he gets in the game. Morkve is a shutdown defender, and once he gets the ball, can dance with it for quite a bit, until someone gets open.

D Granville Friedstrom 33- As a child, Granville was so poor he had to use a balled up sheet of paper as a soccer ball. It helped him a lot, because he had to account for the unpredictability of the ball, and learned that it isn’t important how hard you kick the ball, but how accurate you kick it. A great passer and dribbler, though there is a reason why he is sixth defender. He isn’t great at strategy, and is terrible against teams who pass a lot.

GK Bruce Armour 25- Bruce is suspected to be a relative of Plastic Man, he is so big. A commanding 7’2” presence in the net, he is also quite quick, and can destroy opponents hope of a comeback. Bruce is quit fun to cover and to be with, and is a great example to other players that, yes, you can be a great person and a great player. He was suspended for three games in the Introduction of Fire, and was bad during it when he played. Bailido is expected to start.

Standard disclaimer FTW: The Weegie Government's Department of Culture, Sport, and Tourism allows anything and everything to happen in a game, as long as it is properly disciplined by the referee, police, security services, army, or your gran. In the event something does happen to our players, we must note that a few thousand drunken, angry Weegies will camp out outside your National Football Association and chuck things at anyone going in or coming out.

The Weegie national football team (nicknamed The Islanders, or Aigh nas Wíann (The Wee Men)) play their home games either in The People's Stadium, Mackintosh (capacity 65,146) or The Dear Green Place, Mackintosh (capacity 73,211). They wear a home shirt of dark green and dark blue vertical stripes, white shorts with dark green numbers on the sides, and white socks, and an away shirt of dark blue and red, bisected diagonally across the shirt, dark blue shorts with red numbers on the side, and red socks.

Kits provided by X-Spordiga.

They will be playing in a 4-4-2 formation, usually, although injuries and cards may affect that. Numbers 1-11 are the usual starting line-up unless otherwise stated, although, again, injuries and cards may affect that. First position noted is the strongest position for that player.

Style Modifier: +2.

Manager:

Ally Daniels, 51.

Ally Daniels was previously manager of Cialtag Rovers for 6 seasons before being offered the Weegie national side job by the WFA. Considered a second-rate team at best, his canny defensive play and excellent man-management skills have meant that the Rovers often ended up the season amongst top sides like Lylia Foresters or Buchanan L.F.C during his reign, and they won the 2005/06 season, the first time Cialtag Rovers had ever done so. Only a spate of injuries in the 2008/2009 season meant that they missed out on a place in international club competition.

In World Cup 48 qualifying, Daniels had mixed results, on the one hand generally doing terribly away, but having an excellent home record, only losing once to Kura-Pelland. This, added with a creditable Cup of Harmony performance where the side got past the group stage, meant that the WFA kept him on board to continue the development of the side. World Cup 49 continued Daniels' solid but unspectacular style, where progression was made in developing what had been a very sloppy defense, The Weegies ending qualification with a positive goal difference, but had a disappointing Cup of Harmony 41, where again, shaky goalkeeping seemed to let down what had been a reasonable effort by the side.

However, a spectacular run in World Cup 50 led to qualification by a Weegie side filled with more matured and experienced talent that belied its' low KPB ranking. Defeating higher ranked teams with an assurance that had not existed in previous qualification campaigns, the team headed to The Holy Empire in high spirits, which were only heightened when the side, for the first time in a long and mostly undistinguished history, the team qualified for the Second Round of the World Cup Finals. Further progression was halted by the sheer gulf in talent between The Weegies and the mighty Candelaria and Marquez, which could have been foretold by the unfortunate 4-1 defeat by Valanora in the group stage, showing that whilst joining a select group of teams capable of World Cup qualification, The Weegies had not yet developed to the point where they could take on the giants of the footballing world.

The WFA, and the organised fan group the Islanders' Army, expect qualification after the heroic exploits of the last World Cup. Can Daniels deliver a further improvement, or has his team reached their peak?

Before managing, Ally Daniels was a goalkeeper for Weegie League, First Division team Soothside City, where he performed creditably.

Goalkeepers:

1. Iain Gilmour, 28, Schialtas Niaghuan
12. Kenny Reilly, 34, Aigh nas Chlalnachan
14. Casper Almquist, 22, Buchanan L.F.C.

Gilmour remains the first choice for the Weegie side, finally seen as having fixed its' "goalkeeper problem" which plagued it in previous competitions His excellent handling is coupled with good positioning, although flashes of eccentricity have come out under pressure from excellent sides. Karl McBride's mediocre league performance for Carlsson Rangers meant he was dropped in favour of Kenny Reilly, a long-time Aigh nas Chlalnachan player whose consistency speaks for itself. Almquist remains the third choice, still too green for Daniels' liking and with a tendency to rush out and fail to read the game properly, showcasing the worst habits of Weegie goalkeeping.

Defenders:

2. Frank Pedersen, 30, left-back, Mackintosh Thistle Celtic
3. Gary Fairlie, 22, centre-back, Trams Union United
5. Robert Fairlie, 22, centre-back, Trams Union United
6. Finn Doig, 25, right-back, Buchanan L.F.C.

13. Bjarne Branch, 24, left-back/centre back, Schialtas Niaghuan
15. Thomas Haversen, 31, right-back/centre-back, The Distillery
16. Ross Quinlan, 21, centre-back/defensive midfielder, Schialtas Niaghuan
17. Andrew McQuillan, 27, centre-back/left-back, Easter House Islanders
26. Maurice McDonald, 30, centre-back/centre-forward, Trams Union United

Finn Doig replaces Thomas Haversen in the only change to the first team line up, Daniels here noting that Haversen has begun to slow, which may hurt him against speedy wingers. Doig's irrepressible energy coupled with Pedersen's deceptively laconic approach may prove to be a winner. That's not to say anything against Haversen, though, who continues to be a solid choice and may still play more often than not.

The Fairlie twins, heroes of the 2nd Aeropag Invitational, continue to dominate the central defense, and their co-ordination and marking skills have often stopped a marauding striker, even if they do seem rather slight compared to the normal man-mountains Weegie defenders are meant to be.

Speaking of which, we have plenty of strength on display in the rest; Branch (now at the rapidly improving Schialtas Niaghuan), Quinlan and McQuillan all the classic Weegie defenders - hit them fast, and hit them hard being their motto. McDonald's usual role at TUU is a striker, but he fits into a defensive lineup more easily, as it's difficult to see the TUU have any attacking presence whatsoever.

Midfielders:

4. Sorley Brekke, 24, left-winger/right-winger/attacking midfielder, Atlético Insular (Cáfundeu)
8. Lawrence McKillop, 34, midfielder/defensive midfielder/sweeper, Tenderville United (Nethertopia) (captain)
9. Harold Bevan, 23, attacking midfielder/central midfielder, Qasarian City (Somewhereistonia)
11. Paul Larsen, 23, right-winger, Mackintosh Thistle Celtic

18. Alan Longvale, 21, central midfielder, Mackintosh Thistle Celtic
19. Paul McMaster, 20, central midfielder, Sauchiehall Rovers
20. George McCrimmon, 25, attacking midfielder/right-winger/left-winger, Hanover Town
21. Kyle Bannerman, 26, left-winger/right-winger, The Distillery
22. Robbie MacKenzie, 18, attacking midfielder, Mackintosh Thistle Celtic
24. Gordon Burke, 25, left-winger/central midfielder, Cialtag Rovers
25. Johnny Williams, 32, defensive midfielder, Aigh nas Chlalnachan

It must be McKillop's last World Cup by now, surely? The midfield general has gained respect from fans and players alike at Tenderville since his move there, despite not being a regular first-team player, especially with his leadership abilities and his willingness to teach younger players. A spell in coaching awaits, perhaps? He's maybe not quite as naturally athletic as he was in World Cup 50, but his technical ability to know where the game is going and direct the team from the thick of the action remains.

On the wings, Sorley Brekke (who's had a decent season in Cafundeu) and Paul Larsen remain the archetypical fast, nippy wee Weegie winger, catching the other team off guard and swinging in beautiful crosses for the centre-forwards and the attacking midfielder to take advantage of. The wings are where great Weegie football are usually developed, before the other side even know what's going on, and there's no change here.

And also in midfield, Harold Bevan, who came into his own after choosing to go to Somewhereistonian side Qasarian City, who qualified for a Globe Cup spot this season and performed reasonably well. Bevan has become an excellent attacking midfielder, supporting the strikers where necessary but always on the lookout for a good opening to slip past the defence. His free-kicks have also tended to terrify the opposition - Bevan is truly a long-range threat.

As to the others, new talents Robbie McKenzie and Alan Longvale, both part of a superlative Mackintosh Thistle Celtic team, replace underperforming Finlay Ward, who has been lost often to injury this season, and Alexander Roch, who in World Cup 50 didn't show the kind of promise in international competition that Daniels (and others) expected. Hopefully they can step up to the plate as well as they did when they had to revive what seemed like a Thistle side veering towards losing its' dominance of the Weegie Premiership.

Versatile attacking midfielder George McCrimmon replaces Don McKie, who showed he was well past his best this season in a woeful Carlsson Rangers side, whilst McMaster proved himself in the last World Cup and stays in as a solid if unspectacular replacement for McKillop, as does Johnny Williams. Burke and Bannerman make up the rest, fine replacements for Brekke and Larsen if need be, although they lack the same spark that makes those two so dangerous.

Strikers:

7. Gunnar Hallestrøm, 22, centre-forward, Mackintosh Thistle Celtic
10. Quentin Gorrie, 20, centre-forward, Caires City (Candelaria And Marquez)

23. Andy Harris, 31, centre-forward/attacking midfielder, Mackintosh Thistle Celtic

There couldn't really be much change here. "Gunner" Hallestrøm and "Bomber" Harris, as their nicknames suggest, may not be the most silky-smooth of strikers - Harris especially is well known for his strength and tackling skill which enables him to square up to many defenders and even steal the ball from them - but their powerhouse performances in the Weegie Premiership last season left many agog with the sheer number of goals they were putting past even good sides. Harris is deadly in the air, and Hallestrøm is well known for the sheer, deadly power behind his shots, and his sudden bursts of speed.

Quentin Gorrie fully replaces Lars Connacht this time round, who has never recovered from that fateful day in Kura-Pelland where his leg was broken. And what a season the young striker has had! Whisked from obscurity to the heights of the CMSC, Gorrie's performances as a centre-forward for Caires City meant he came 2nd in the Golden Boot, scoring 18 (sometimes scrappy) goals, and the Young Player of the Season award. Not to mention his performances in the World Cup, where he scored 11 goals in 14 games, ensuring Weegie qualification. His ability to be in the right place at the right time is second to none. Surely he can only get better, even if he does sometimes look like a baby giraffe when he runs?

All in all, minor tweaks to a squad that has shown previously that it can deliver; Daniels can be accused of timidity, but certainly not stupidity.
The Weegies is aware of all internet traditions.

Dare you face the awesome and terrible fury of The Invigilator?

ASMV Roster and Information

You can do anything you like short of killing off players

Squad Name: Sea Dragons
Home Pitch: Stadii se Draggonnii Arcea
Image
Colors: Deep Sky Blue & Yellow
Style: Tidal Surge 3-2-2-1-2 (-1 defensive)
Image

Pos no name sex age ht wt/lbs

RF 9 Jahirii Tai’Seri m 22 5’7 165
Athletic and strong, Jahirii has the speed the Sea Dragons generally look in their attackers. He should be a threat every time he touches the ball.

LF 11 Rainu Irin’lur f 20 5’5 126
Once reckless and careless, Rainu has matured since her debut in the WC 50 qualifiers. Now she is a consistent threat to score at all times while playing in control- can still be riled into hasty decisions by mouthy defenders, but less hostile reactions these days.

OM 3 Calif Atain’i m 28 6’2 195
Excellent passer out of the midfield with enough of a leg to score when forgotten about. Not afraid to go crashing in head-first.

RM 22 Lorea Kai f 27 5’10 150
Consistent would be the best way to describe Lorea. Nothing exciting but few let downs at the same time.

LM 96 Ul’umna Azur m 23 6’3 215
Probably the most boring player on the Sea Dragon Squad. Technically he is fine but never anything close to original.

RWB 18 Omura Zuhka m 26 6’0 190
Omura and Qintal are the reasons the Tidal Surge formation works. Solid defenders with speed and skill to play up in the midfield as well. Omura Is the faster of the two and can make up ground when beaten.

LWB 14 Qintal Gha’voru m 23 5’11 175
Quintal is a better passer and defender than Omura but lacks his counterparts speed. Makes his additions with savvy moves and excellent positioning.

RB 21 Mace Kinoz’gh m 30 6’2 225
Possibly the best defender on the squad, Mace has a penchant for making rather nasty hits look legal. A high octane kamikaze player that opposing forwards will want to locate quickly and avoid when possible.

CB 43 Kimo Umafu’alafa m 21 7’2 310
LB 54 Timo Umafu’alafa m 21 7’1 305
Kimo and Timo form a literal wall in front of the goal. Deceptively quick for their gargantuan size they should present a new challenge for opponents to figure out.

K 00 Emyle Triarii f 24 6’1 180
Cat-Quick. Lightening-fast. Ox-Strong. All of these describe the Sea Dragon keeper. Her only let down is the fact that at times she becomes too aggressive which allows more patient attackers to come clean for really nice shots on goal.

Reserves

F 10 Niequim Cirgha m 23 6’2 200
Better in the air than with his feet on the ground, Neiq should get plenty of playing time.

F 3 Niyuli Er’Coredju f 21 5’7 135
Fiery and Beautiful, Niyuli actually left a photo shoot midpoint when the Sea Dragons called. Now she will model football kits rather than lingerie.

OM 29 Aityrano Morigra m 24 6’3 195
Talented scorer when younger, but back issues have slowed his game and moved him to the midfield where he takes less hard bumps.

M 44 Itrekril Boshath f 22 5’8 145
The best midfielder the Sea Dragons have to offer but Itrekril has fully recovered from major knee surgery to repair both the acl and mcl in her left knee.

M 10 Kymykera Wu’eres f 19 5’6 145
The to college midfielder in the country. Has yet to experience anything on this sort of stage.

D 59 Ionei N’gi f 20 5’11 160
“The Widowmaker”, Ionei likes to make nasty hits when the attackers aren’t looking.

D 12 Noinedyn Nyrakny m 25 5’11 195
The weakling of the back line, Noinedyn makes up for the lack of power with quickness.

K 61 Jubaxilo Valdori m 22 6’5 200
Called up during the WC 50 qualifiers, Jubaxilo is a solid keeper who plays well without taking chances.

Manager Noin Ares Marqua m 44 6’0 255
Young and ambitious, Noin dredged up film of the Sea dragons of old and mimics the style of Mgr Pao St Martinique. It worked once before, perhaps it will again.

Excerpt from the Hassett Daily Telegraph:
"Hassett's small soccer committee is completely supportive of the competitive game. Even though this is our first year in the World Cup, we have been playing the game for years. Unfortunetaly, we lost during the Batpism of Fire 38; fresh off of this defeat, the Pirates are roaring to go on and win this tourney. We are a young team, our eldest member being 25, and our youngest, 17, Hassett, who happens to be the Galactic Emperor of Hassett and Hassett's "Sexiest Man Alive" award winner. With a small roster of only 13 (lucky number, eh?), the team can't risk any other injuries. The Hassett Pirates play in a 4-3-3 set-up, with a balanced field, we hope we can maintain a strong defense while keeping up the attack on offence. After a week at the pubs, our team is fully ready for their first match. The future of the team is dependent upon the outcome of this tournament and their spirit is strong and ready."
