Welcome to the next leg of the NationStates Tennis Tour, with the Handon Open making its debut. This is a tier-two, grass court tournament, which takes place at the seventeen-court Greater Handon Lawn Tennis Centre awarding 500 points and $800,000 to the winner. Expect strong coastal winds, and plenty of rain delays, in a country not exactly renowned for its summer weather.
You may sign up a maximum of four singles players and two doubles teams below.
Scorination:
The tournament will be will be scored using xkoranate, and will be based on the current NSTT rankings at the start of qualifying. RP bonus will be generous and cumulative throughout qualifying and the tournament proper.
Format:
The Handon Open will have a main draw of 32 for singles and 16 for doubles, with the 8 highest ranked singles entries, and four highest doubles receiving protected draws. Qualification will take the form of a seeded round robin, although the exact numbers will depend on signups. Wildcards for either qualifying or the main draw will be considered upon request.
Puppets:
As always puppets must be declared, and there is a maximum of one puppet and one main nation per user.
Match day one is tentatively set for the fourth of October, or following the conclusion of the Ergo Championships New Oxford.
