Introduction
The nation of Valanora is proud to present a bid for the hosting rights to AOCAF 51.

The Host
Vanorians are a welcoming and friendly people, if not a bit withdrawn and egotistical. They see themselves as a more ascended people than their humanoid cousins in humans and dwarves, but also recognize the potential others have. Vanorians on the whole tend to care more about insular community building than what transpires in the rest of the world, except when Valanora or the good people of the world are severely threatened. With innate magical abilities, technoligical advances that include the legendary Space Elevator in Mar Sara, and inguniety that knows few equals, with an intense desire to live in harmony with nature. Valanora itself is a large empire, stretching from the island state of Vyinta in the west to the island port of Capri in the south and the edges of Caethersin in the east and Milran Serin in the north, taking up the whole of the remains of the supercontinent Arossia.

Format
While not having any direct control over the number of participants in the tournament, the VSC would prefer to go with a format of eight groups of four participants each in a single round robin, where upon the group winners and group runners up advance into the knockout stages. While that is the preferred format, they are also preparing to go through with a format of eight groups of five, should the participation level exceed current expectations.

Scorination and RP Bonus
The scorinator will be the latest version of xkoranate, using the NSFS formula, and the xkoranate modifiers, while limiting the modifier choice to a +-3 scale. As for the RP bonus, the host will opt not to reveal the exact numerical scale, but will tell you the RP bonus will be generous, and cumulative throughout the duration of the AOCAF. The tournament has a history of great writing and participation and it is one that I intend to see through again in this edition, that good RPs will be rewarded properly.

Experience
As a user, I have hosted a multitude of events ranging from as great as the World Cup no less than seven times, to as humble as invitational tournaments and cohosts in the larger scale NSCAA and NSCF events. There is no user beyond Commerce Heights who has more hosting experience than I do, so that when I do scorinate events, the participants can be assured of a smoothly run and technically proficient tournament.

All Star XI
As an incentive to further RP lines and participation, the VSC will be announcing an All Star XI prior to the end of the Final, should the bid be won, which will then have a friendly with the Vanorian national team after the Final.

Waiting on an update to the AOCAF rankings to be able to run the tournament, once they are updated the thread will be up and a schedule will be posted.

I'll update the rankings, but I would think having the everything thread up at least a week so people could post rosters and such, see the group draw, maybe even post an RP or at the very least have some notification that the tournament is starting etc would be appropriate before MD1.

Signups updated. Kaumann has been put on a wait list to see if we get another 7 signups, though I am not convinced we will get that. In that case, I would hope that one of the users with multiple entries volunteers to withdraw their puppet in order to allow Kaumann in, as a main nation.

Doesn't seem likely though there are more than 8-10 nations in the region who have recently competed in the AOCAF who are not signed up as well as Falcania and CH who are active but haven't been in the AOCAF in quite some time.
