Maple Leaf Bowl V (Canadian Football - Signup Thread - OPEN)

I've been thinking about reviving the Maple Leaf Bowl of late and am wondering if there's interest for it. For those who weren't around a few years ago, the Maple Leaf Bowl was a Canadian football tournament that ran for 4 editions, the fourth of which was abandoned by the host because nobody RPed. Now that its been a year and a half and now that the CFL season is underway, I'm wondering if there's any interest in a Maple Leaf Bowl revival.

If you're not familiar with Canadian football, Wikipedia has an excellent article detailing the differences between the Canadian game and the more well-known form of gridiron played in the NFL.

If there's sufficient interest in RPing a Canadian football tournament now, I'll convert this thread into a signup thread and we'll hold the 5th edition of the Maple Leaf Bowl sometime before the next World Bowl starts.

Kep is a democratic, thriving island nation in the North Medser Sea of The Western Isles. Interestingly, the northern part of Kep is mostly tundra, pioneered by the native Eskimo population, however, the farther south you go, the warmer the temperature becomes, at best reaching a sizzling 59 degrees. The leader of the nation is called the Pala Mors, meaning Prime Minister in Icracako, the current Pala Mors is Arinjor Bjarki who resides in the nation's capital of Sario. Seen as a somewhat primitive country, it is unknown to the multiverse that much of Kep sports many stadiums and buildings are modernized and up-to-date. Canadian football is a relatively unknown sport, but, it has gained recent popularity in the past decade throughout the nation. Traveling to Kep will allow you to experience the native peoples performing their rituals alongside seeing the big cities of Sario, Allkor City and the rustic city of Calix. The most prominent faith in Kep is paganism (Norse Mythology), it is illegal to attempt to convert someone. Doing so will subject you to death by trident. Kep is very strict about someone traveling to it, you are required to have a valid passport from the nation of origin, a valid temporary passport Kep and a valid visa from Kep along with paying $350.00. Among strange things, public nudity is illegal, why not? Odin does it! However, public sexuality is illegal as per public code.

The Principality of Qasden is a relatively small nation, with just a little over 100 million Qad residents at the time of this bid. However, the country thrives with athletic spirit, as the Qasdonians are almost always in sports and/or watching sports. Though declared a principality, Qasden is ruled mostly by Prime Minister, Rees Häther, while it is also loosely ruled by Prince Franz-Pierre Van. The capital of Qasden, T.V. City, holds nearly 40% of the country's population within its vicinity, while other decently sized cities, such as Taxson, Qad City, and Port Harston, also home many Qads.

Group Draw will take place over a Chatzy that I will link to at a later date if this bid wins hosting rights. For numbers, we have 10 teams currently. Qasden will host the first half groups while I shall be in charge of the latter half.

The nation had recently participated in events such as the Tobiasia Country Cup (Tennis), the Third Electrum Slam (Tennis), and even a regatta (Rowing). Qasden had also participated and scorinated a few Association football frinedlies, while also signing up for countless future events. Actually, there's still around 17 hours left until the deadline. Even then, if somebody posts a host bid between the deadline and whenever I open the host vote, I'll still count it as a bid (though I urge anybody considering a bid to come forward now rather than waiting and hoping that I'll end up opening the vote late).
