The Mirola World Triathlon Championships

Info:
Athletes of the World! Welcome to the I World Trialthlon Championships, to be held in Mirola, Dunnes. This years races will take place the 15th-17th of July on the challenging streets of Mirola, the Capital of Dunnes. There will be 3 categories, Junior (Ages 19 and Under), U23 (23 and under), and Elite, with races for both genders in each category. There will also be a concurrently run 10k road race for elite runners. Courses will be released as the entries come in.

Entries:
Entries are due Tuesday July 12th at 9:00pm Pacific Time. Please use the entry form below. You may include a skill modifier of 0-100 along with your athlete. If you do not the athlete will be given a skill modifier of 50. The average of all of your athletes shall be 50 or lower. Entries not complying with the form or the skill modifier average will be denied and be requested to reapply in a separate post. A start list for each race will be posted below.

*: Please limit your skill modifier for these athletes to an 80 maximum to provide IC consistency. It'd be unrealistic if the winner of the U23 race was faster than the winner of the Elite Race.

Scoring:
I will be using xkorante 0.3.3. For the Junior races I will be taking the times and halving them, just as a Junior race in RL is half of an Elite Race. The U23 races will be timed by 1.06 to mimic a lower quality field. There will be an RP bonus daily. The RP will close on the day of the race at 9:00am Pacific Time, and will be scorinated shortly thereafter.

For RP sake it'd be the 10km track and field times (w/ xkorante) multiplied by a factor of 1.017, the difference between the road world record and the track world record in RL.

Athlete Information:

Arrivals:
Athletes should arrive in Mirola City, via Mirola International Airport. Athletes, coaches and administrators/support staff will not require a visa to enter the country. A shuttle will take athletes from the airport to the hotel. When they arrive to the hotel they will be immediately accredited.

Schedule:
Thursday July 14th
16:00 Junior Men's Triathlon
17:30 U23 Women's Triathlon
20:00 Men's and Women's 10km Road Running Race

Saturday July 15th
14:00 U23 Men's Triathlon
17:00 Elite Women's Triathlon

Saturday July 16th
15:30 Junior Women's Triathlon
17:00 Elite Men's Triathlon

Host Hotel:
The Grand Hotel will be the host hotel for the championships. Athletes and coaches rooms will be subsidized by the Dunnes Triathlon Federation for the entire week. Meals will be made available as well.

Press Conference:
The press conference will be the day before each race at 13:00. Athletes will be made available after each race in the mixed zone. The podium athletes and the top Dunnes finisher will also be at an additional post race press conference.

Athletes Briefing:
The athletes briefing for the races will be held Wednesday.
14:00- Junior Men & Junior Women
15:00- U23 Men & U23 Women
16:00- Elite Men & Elite Women

Practice Areas:
The swim area and bike/run course will be made available for inspection/training on Wednesday from 10:00-12:00. There will be a practice pool available from 9:00-19:00 everyday from Monday-Sunday at the Met Gym a block down from the hotel

Course:
The swim course will be a two 750m lap course for elites and u23 and a one lap course for juniors. It will be a pontoon start into a protected part of the Willamette River.
The bike course will be mostly flat with one minor 200m climb. It is 5km, with elites and u23's doing 8 laps and juniors doing 4.
The run course is flat, and is comprised of the beginning parts of the bike course. It is 2.5km, with elites and u23's doing 4 laps and juniors doing two.
The 10km run course will comprise of two laps of the bike course.

Transition Area:
The transition area will be located immediately parallel to the finish line and will have ticked stands running parallel to the other side. The transition is 100m to the swim start and 50m to the exit. The bike and run course will go through the area each lap.

Race Day:
Each race will follow the same schedule
T-3:00: Athlete lounge opens
T-1:00: Transition opens
T-0:45: Swim warmup opens
T-0:20: Swim warmup closes
T-0:15: Transition Closes
T-0:10 Line Up at start
T-0:05 Athlete Introductions
T-0:01 Hands of the Starter
Start of Race
End of Race
T+0:15 Athlete Awards
T+0:20 Mixed Zone Opens
T+0:35 Press Conference

Awards:
The top three in each race will be escorted to the awards ceremony after the race.

Drug Testing:
The top seven athletes and three random athletes will be subjected to drug testing after the race. Each tested athlete will be given a chaperone and will not be allowed to leave his/her presence until the drug testing process has been completed.

Right, I'll send a small delegation, but a quick point:

I'm not sure you quite grasp how xkoranate is meant to work. If you're using the full 'Elite' scorination file for the u23 races, there's no guarantee the winning athlete won't still post a time faster than the full Elite Race using the same file. You're better off creating individual scorination files for both u23 races, the junior races, *as well as* the 10km road races, rather than using the Elite Race/athletics 10,000m file then applying a 50%/101.7% percentage modifier after. If you need help with this, just ask.
