KIHL Week 1 Top 3

Mintsford On Top

- By Théo Vandame

Mintsford Wins Easily
The Mintsford Stars, a team owned and operated completely by Saskatoon S.C. of the RHL proved to be a force to be reckoned easily taking apart the Norget Snipers 2-0 on home soil in front of three-hundred people. People gathered around as Mintsford easily dashed Norget's any chances of mounting a comeback by playing a tough defense on Norget, shutting them down. Will Mintsford continue this season that well or will it fail?
Larvana 2 Goal Performance
Larvana quietly defeated the team representing the nation's capital in front of over three-thousand people at an outdoor rink. Larvana scored late in the second period utilizing power-plays to take the lead and never look back. An injured squad from Sario was unable to re-enter the match as it became clear who the true winners were.
Yeetleis Yeets
The squad from Yeetleis quietly stormed the Eckenburg Roar dispatching them in front of a home crowd and silently starting their quest for dominance. A score in the first quarter gave Yeetleis the momentum they needed to not look back and dominate the rest of the match. The shut-down defense played by Yetleis also contributed to the one-score game.

KIHL Week 2 Top 3

Mintsford Maintains Lead

- By Théo Vandame

Mintsford Leads
The Mintsford Stars questionably still remain first place in the KIHL following their victory with the Eckenburg Roar 2-0 away in Eckenberg. The Stars were unable to solve a strong, potent defense from Eckenburg until late in the third, Eckenburg which only allow twenty-three shots. Eckenburg scored first on a penalty in the second quarter. However, I find it doubtful Mintsford will remain in first for long following this questionable and scary performance.
Larvana Marches Quietly
Larvana continues to march towards the promise land. Today, it recorded an easy victory over Norget as it continues to cling to the second place spot needed for any chance. If Larvana is to clash with Mintsford, a violent spark would erupt between the two, both very good teams. Larvana faces Mintsford next at home.
Sario In The Wild Card Seat
Sario is currently chasing Larvana as it currently sits in the wild-card seat as it attempts to overtake Larvana eventually in the season. If Sario has any chance of overtaking Larvana, it must score more goals against other teams as the battle for the two spots will most likely come down to Goal Difference.

KIHL Final Standings

Mintsford Visits RHL Headquarters

- By Théo Vandame

Mintsford Capitalizing
The Mintsford Stars in a bold move following their 2-1 victory over the Larvana Reds went and visited Vancouver to see the headquarters of the RHL, the elite top league of hockey in the Rainbow Nation. This comes after Mintsford's three-win start as it is now the last undefeated team standing. Mintsford will need to continue scoring goals if they aim to replace most likely the Yukon Rangers.
Take A Seat Larvana
Unfortunately for Larvana, it took dirt to the mouth as it lost to Mintsford 2-1 last night. This has been a highly touted game as they were the only remaining undefeated teams this season. With the game behind them, Larvans should focus on putting distance between them and whoever the wild card team is.
Norget Wins
Stunningly, Norget recorded their first and only win of the season yesterday in a showdown with the Hurricanes. We should look forward to Norget increasingly attacking Larvana in their up-coming game if they hope to have a chance at stunning them.
