Autre victoire 7/12 donne avantage sur Slave 7s
Another 7-for-12 victory gives advantage over Slave 7s

RFL | Radio Free Fleuriques
Rapport du personnel / Staff Report

Les 7s took down the Gregoryisgodistan Slave 7s in a tight but firmly decided twelve-7et ("set") finish in yesterday's competition.

In the first six 7ets, the Slave 7s outscored Les 7s by a single point, but when head coach Fergus Bonfils ordered the line change, reserve captain Jeanelle LaFollette, with assistance from Player of the Game Jacquelynne de Lucette-Panini from the flank, the final 7et ended with the Slave 7s only taking two points. Lucette-Panini scored a total of 39 points for Les 7s.

Les 7s (2-1) take on the New Dukaine 7s next.

Arcantova 7s v. Courage 7s
Following The First 7et

"STEELE! STEELE! GET YOUR BUTT OFF THE FIELD NOW!" Coach Croman called from the sidelines as the team came in to prepare for the second 7et.

As the team huddled around Dan, Natalie came off the bench to join them. Steele, late to the huddle stopped dead in his tracks as he saw his backup preparing to head out onto the field.

"What's this then?" He asked.

"I don't have time to argue right now Steele, go park it on the bench."

"I will not! Why are you pulling me from the game?"

"Because, in case you haven't noticed, you almost lost us that 7et because you're too prideful to have a little fun out there."

"I will not shake my booty on that pole like I'm a regular garden tool like Ms. Natalie does here."

"Hey!" Natalie piped up, offended by the comment.

As she moved forwad, Captain Clifford Warren grabbed her and pulled her back into their huddle. Croman let the group talk among themselves and went over to his starting poleman.

"I will not jeopardize our chances at winning this tournament just because you think you're too masculine to live a little." Croman retorted.

"I danced a little."

"Making the letter YMCA with your arms doesn't count as a pole dance numbskull. That' why the ref penalized you!"

"I think you just like watching Natalie swing her hips."

"She's 20! I'm 30 years older than her AND happily married mind you. I put her into the game because she plays by the rules."

"So do I!"

"THIS ISN'T ARCANTOVA! GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD! I want you in the games come matchday 5. That's when we start playing the big name teams. Natalie won't be able to hold off St. Kanye and Ethane. We need you in order to have a fighting chance. Until you figure out that there is no 'I' in Team though, go ride the bench for a while. Have a cup of Gatorade, and enjoy the show."

Jared scoffed as the team began to run on the field without him.

"ABE! Camp in the goalzone like you did last time Nat was in. Cover as best you can." Croman yelled to the retreating Side 7.

"Sure thing!"

Arcantovan 7Ball Troubles Continue
Written by: Chadwick Yates

The Arcantovan National 7Ball team set out unsupported by the AIOP, the organization tasked with financially supporting Arcantova's international teams. Operating with a tiny budget, and an even tinier fan base, the team didn't expect much from the International Cup. However, they now find themselves 2-0 and the proud owners of the tournament's third highest 7et difference.

Well, looking at those stats it is easy to get confused by the title of this article. With stats like that, how can the Arcantova 7s be struggling?

For starters, coach Dan Croman and Chairman Blake Rivers have spent the past two days attempting to gather safety equipment before the team's matchday 7 meeting with the BB Gun wielding St. Kanye 7s. On such a short budget, the two are struggling to pay for the necessary equipment. Safety goggles have already been purchased, but one of the real concerns is the expensiveness of flame retardant clothing that Dan Croman wants his team to wear against Ethane 7s come matchday 5. Fundraising efforts have raised some support, and are on track to meet the necessary amount before the meeting. However, it will certainly be cutting it close.

With most of the players playing out of position due to a lack of heavily organized leagues in Arcantova, another major concern is people forgetting their place on the field. In the ninth 7et, backup Boring 7 Alexander Reese accidentally scored, which per the rules of 7ball results in a negative point. The mistake opened a window for the Courage 7s to come back and take the 7et late.

The biggest concern comes on the bench though. Poleman Jared Steele has been pulled from BOTH of the last two matches. 7Ball has a unique rule in which the poleman 7 must pole dance when the ball is not in his zone. In Arcantova, this rule has been deemed optional by the N7O. At the International Cup however...not so much. Jared Steele has yet to catch on to this, and it has almost cost his team quite a few 7ets. 20-year-old Natalie Daniel has stepped in, but Head Coach Dan Croman has expressed concern for her well being, and her athletic ability against some of the better teams such as St. Kanye and Ethan.

Matchday 4 features the Arcantova 7s taking on the Savalen 7s. The team possesses no weapons or special equipment besides big bats held by the Goalmen to aid in defense. It's one last chance for Jared Steele to get with the program, one last study break for Alexander Reese to understand the rules of his position, and one last day for Blake Rivers to get the funds together before the real madness starts...but hey...that's just another day of 7Ball in Drawkland.

Savalen Sounds
Bernhard Back

We won, WE WON!! That's right, we won 7-2 against the Imperials. That was in fact, not the only good news - we also managed to break our losing streak in football - winning in the Bof and NW Cup.

But the story of the day goes to us, 7ball suppporters. The men, with a makeshift captain in the form of Norvik, looked at first to be going for another defeat as they were 2-1 down after 3 7ets. But the boys then came back in for a tactical analysis and new strategy and didn't lose another 7et! Well done to them, hopefully giving us a springboard for the match against Ethane. Man of the match goes to Norvik, as he inspired the team to go on the winning streak and win the match.

On the subject of captains - Miro will be out for the rest of the tournament, but is now at 80% chance of survival, which is great news! Also Bernhard will be back for the game against Ethane. Come on - things are looking up.

Ethane are a strong team who have so far failed to live up to expectations. They should be higher and we can expect an urgency about them in their play. However, you get the feeling that if we can overcome them, we should qualify for the next round. Wouldn't that be great!

Good luck to the ladz.

Fourth Cutoff?! THIS Late?!!

Host Note: I am going on vacation starting Tuesday night, so cutoff times and postings will likely be iffy. If it becomes too much a problem for me to be decently reliable, I will hand off scorination of the tournament to a competent host. Apologies in advance. If not, cutoff times will switch to 9pm WESTERN US time, which is 3 hours later than it has been.

7BALL: ST. KANYE 7S ON A ROLL

by Jade Cortland

Yes, we're on a roll right now. And not just because of the rollerskates. The 7ball team of Kanyeans (and Kanyeans from Claxton U at that) erased a 2-1 set deficit against the Sulsu's 7s of Sulsuland by winning six straight sets. St. Kanye didn't have to resort to anything more than their usual BB guns in the rather short match, which ended in their fourth win in as many outings in the group stages of the second International Cup of 7ball in Drawkland.

Our 7s take a day's break (Poleman 7 and Playing Assistant Coach Rob Holmes says: Break? Like spring break? Time to party!) before facing the winless Imperial 7s of Anglatia, and then the 2-1 Arcantova 7s (Captain 7 Dylan Deschanel says: No weapons? They're the goody-two-shoes of Group 2.) (Boring 7 Andrew Ravello says: Really? You know what they say, nice guys finish last. *chuckles*)

Letters of support? Suggestions for new tricks? Donations to help the team buy real guns? Boob pictures from fans? Send all of those to:

New Dukaine Shredded

The lineup had a loss of confidence after the captain was red carded for slide tackling. Those players had lost their confidence to the Les 7s. The pogo sticks didn't work that well, and we have switched them to baseball bats to clonk someone in the head

International Cup of 7Ball II

Kébecois 7's Riding 2 Game Win Streak

- By Axel Serre

Following Kébecois's horrific loss to the West-East Timor 7's at the beginning of the International Cup of 7Ball, Kébecois has bounced back with two wins over its bitter rivals the Qubecois 7's and the Slave 7's of Gregoryisgodistan. The relative ease of victory is staggering as the Kébecois is clad in their boxer briefs and the regulatory stuffs needed for 7Ball. Perhaps you ask yourself, what started this success? Perhaps it was Coach Lilian's touch no-nonsense tone after their humiliating loss to the West-East Timor 7's. The team has come back in its best force ever owing its wins to working together and playing a high-tempo offense. As the team prepares to fac the 7's team from New Dukaine, a rap up of the previous two wins is detailed below.
The hated rivals of Kébecois are none other than the Quebecois 7's of the Royal Kingdom of Quebec. The Kingdom which hadn't announced their players were thoroughly unprepared for the Kébecois 7's and their rage after the lost. Kébecois came out of the gate pounding thank to Kébecois's Boring 7 who pulled out a Pogo-stick throwing it at his opposing counterpart. This allow Captain 7 Marcel to reach over and score. Throughout the match, Kébecois quickly established its dominance by the fourth set up 3-1. The only set they lost was the second set a dismal 7-4. A dejected Quebecois 7's team was unable to keep up with the quick-tempo offense of Kébecois who managed to finish the 7's game in thirty-minutes.
The Slave 7's of Gregoryisgodistan were also unmatched for a meeting with the newly invigorated Kébecois 7's. The Kébecois 7's once again quickly capatalized on the slow offense of the opposing team hoping to dish out a quick and satisfying win. The Slave 7's who have no known names were quickly shut down as they were outmatched considerably. Coach Lilian remarked on the Slave 7's, "They are a team of no-named, stupid peoples, they know nothing of the sport and were outclassed and outmatched by us." Captain 7 Marcel is credited with scoring many points as Kébecois once again cruised to victory. Following that, the Kébecois 7's have moved up two spots to 3rd place.
Next to face Kébecois are the New Dukaine 7's, a tough team coming off a loss to the Les 7's. The team is known for outwitting its opponents quickly and utilizing defense to the best of their ability. The formidable New Dukaine 7's will need to stop Captain 7 Marcel to have any chance of winning. Kébecois must continue to utilize it up-tempo fast offense that has helped it's two-game winning streak. Let's hope another game can be one. With a Kébecois win and a Les 7's loss, Kébecois can move into second place as it bids to move on in the cup.

''Everyone, huddle in. You know the briefing. We are still in this. First spot in the group may be nearly out of our reach, but that second spot is still firmly visible and accessible to us from our position.

I want you to consider this. How desperately do you want this victory? Are you hungry to win? Because if you are not, you need to leave now. I want everyone in this room to understand. This is not ballet football. This is not the princess parade. This tournament is rough and tumble. Do not expect the other teams to be nice to you. Your objective is to not be nice back to them.

You have your flamethrowers. Use them wisely. They are a very effective tool for you to use to remove the opposition from the path to victory, so don't be afraid of using them on the enemy. Also, don't be stupid. Leaving them all alone was stupid. You don't want the flamethrowers to be destroyed by being filled with water again, do you? Keep hold of them at all times, look after them, as if you cannot use them, you will not be on this team any further from this point.

Good Luck!''

Oh dear thought Sandra Norvik as she read through the latest article submitted by children. Somehow, the false information that Savalen were going to olay Ethane was printed. The was actually on matchday seven. In fact they had played, and beaten, Arcantova in fact. When she thought about it, she realised that the team played well - they were unlucky to go 3-1 down after four 7ets, but the returned captian, Bernhard inspired the team to go on the 6 7et winning streak to win the match.

It was pretty incredible too, she thought, as Arcantova had dominated the first four 7ets, even though Savalen were able to pinch the 7et. If the team couldmaybe just get off to a quicker start, maybe Savalen could secure matches quicker and look hard to beat. She did know that it was in their hands - Sulsu and Arcantova had played a game less, but had yet to play each other.

She realised that she was beginning to make tactical analysis and that she needed to write an article for The Star, a national newspaper, about football. She began taking notes for everything that came into her head.

Aavik whistled as he walked in. He had been sent to the stands for running onto the pitch, punching an opposition player in the face as he went to score and ran off. He was surprised he was allowed to go to the stands and not just kicked out he group.

But he was happy anyway - the team had won and won handsomely - with Sulsu and Arcantova not yet played and Savalen only needing to play the 5th and 6th placed teams in the g7oup. The knockout place was theirs to lose. But how different could it have been. They had lost both their openers and both captains. It hadn't looked good and on a different week, the guys would have been battling not to be last. Lady luck was smiling on them.

There was a problem - the bats for the goalman just weren't cutting it - the Boring 7 would take them instead - it's not like they did much, after all, they were called 'boring' for a reason. This would mean that the goalman would now be able to use a bigger, better bat, that had just been shipped to the training ground.

The manager opened the door where he was told they were being delivered, took one look and smiled.

Image

"Excellent," he whispered. It was four times as big as that black and white photo that had been sent to him.

The New Dukaine squad thought they could break a newcomer squad's 2-game win streak armed only with pogo sticks.

However, amazing set pieces from regular 7 Isabelle Grinstead and assists from her partner in crime, boring 7 Catherine de Machaut, proved that New Dukaine's 7s had another think coming. The game finished with New Dukaine winning only one of the eight 7ets played. Grinstead scored a total of 28 points for Les Sevens.

Additional contributions were made by side 7 Marguerite Glissading (17 points) and captain 7 Jeannine Rousseau (8 points).

Les 7s (3-1) play the Qazaqaz 7s in the next match.

Natalie Daniels Injured
Written by: Chadwick Yates

The head coach of Arcantova's national 7ball team found himself in quite a predicament when Pole(wo)man 7 Natalie Daniels was injured in the team's outing against Savalen 7s. The coach had been keeping starting Poleman Jared Steele on the sideline due to his insistence on not dancing when the ball isn't in his goal zone. It's a rule that doesn't exist in the N7O, where performing the dance is optional.

Well, in the fourth 7et against the Savalen 7s, as Ms. Daniels attempted to make a save on a shot by Savalen Captain Bernhard Eken, she jumped and got pushed back into the pole. Bernhard Ekern scored the point, and immediately apologized for the hit. As the medical staff came onto the field, it was discovered that Daniels was actually knocked out for a brief few seconds. Concussion screening revealed a severe concussion to Ms. Daniels which will sideline her for the remainder of the tournament.

This forced Croman's hand, and Jared Steele went in to replace her. He continued to refuse to dance in the first several 7ets that he was in. Savalen took a surprising 5-3 set lead, and Croman begged his Poleman to follow the rulebook. It was then that Steele realized what 7ball was all about...not just athleticism and winning...but about having fun with a few great people. His pole dancing was absolutely terrible...reminiscent of my moves at my own middle school prom. That isn't the point though, the fact that he participated is proof that he is finally ready to move on to the next level of 7ball. If he does, it's hopeful that the team could do the same and bounce back from their loss.

And they certainly need to. Now knocked back to third place, the team has to fight hard in the next several games to qualify for the playoffs. Blake Rivers was thankfully able to purchase fire retardant safety wear for the upcoming game against Ethane, and it is sure to be a wild one.

Wherever the Rannoire 7s be at
"Men," Meit said, "We may have lost some matches, but we shall come out on top!"
"Huzzah!" They yelled.
"Lelrel, nice work. Improve on you skills, though, even though I'm already seeing improvement."
"Huz- oh wait no one's saying it." Said the Boring 7, "Carry on."
"Men. We shall strike vengeance! The Rannorian News Network is already telling those of Rannoria to cheer for us, and with their confidence we shall not LOSE!"
"Huzzah!"
"LET'S DO THIS!"
"HURRAH!"
"Although we didn't play too recently."
The cheering and hype just dropped. They were all quiet, and just stood.
It was a whole ten seconds before Geram said, "Well, that was awkward. Amirite? Ba-dum-tss."
They all stared at him.
"Oh."

International Cup of 7Ball II

Kébecois Beats New Dukaine!?!?!

- By Axel Serre

Kébecois continues on this unimaginable run of sorts as it has truly stunned the New Dukaine 7's National Team as it defeats them for its third win. A truly challenging game, Kébecois found its stride in the final three 7ets as it shut down New Dukaine's offense each time. Kébecois seems to be riding high on an unimaginable run following its loss at the beginning of the cup to the West-East Timor 7's.
Kébecois's offense is what won the game. As the defense was lacking, the offense was forced to be the breadwinner of the game Despite this, Capain 7 Ballouhey was revolutionary scoring thirteen points and leading the points scored in the game. A tight fast-pace offense continued to be played as the opposing New Dukaine team was afraid of touching the Kébecois team in their boxer briefs. The quick-tempo played by the Kébecois has lead to a new term called 'Kébecois Offense', looking forward to the rest of the game, perhaps more will be done?
The saying 'defense is the best offense' didn't bode well for Kébecois this game. The Kébecois defense was rather lacking in last nights victory over New Dukaine. New Dukaine found ways to exploit early on and in the middle of the 7's game. If Kébecois is to reach the next round, defense must be improved a great deal or Kébecois will find themselves out. A bright spot remains as Kébecois now has won three in a row.
Next to face Kébecois are the Qazaqaq 7's team from Qazaqaq. The Qazaqaq 7's are a highly professional team. With their flair for gimmicks and their well-tailored offense, they shall be a force to be reckoned on this game. Despite Qazqaq losing its last game, Kébecois should be weary of Qzaqaq.

And they win again and again

The West-East Timor 7s have also won their third and fourth game in the International Cup of 7ball VII-V. Their third match against the Quebec 7s was easy:

West-East Timor 7s 7 7 7 7 7 7 7
Quebec 7s 2 2 3 3 5 5 6

After their success against Kebecois 7s they played without bikes, and: 7 7ets : 0 7ets! They might have had no bikes, but therefore, they had two big trucks, parked in front of the poles, so it wasn't easy for Quebec 7s. Polewoman 7 Anna Anarkirkova performed a very good poledance inside the truck, Goalwoman 7 Hannah Blirnak defended the goal touching the truck always, to be shure it's "equipment". Richard Ensekov after the game:

"We were very good today. Really very good, we've played well, used our equipment well... and we'll do it again against Slave 7s. If this teams players are slaves, we will free them."

And so they did:

Slave 7s 7 4 5 5 5 6 5 4
West-East Timor 7s 3 7 7 7 7 7 7 7

It was a shure victory again. They were also successfull freeing the slaves, bringing two of Gregoryisgodistans players into the save freedom of West-East Timor. They disappeared again, probably back to the World Cup, but they're out anyways. Ensekov:

"Nice performance again. Really nice. The slaves are free, it would be a miracle if we didn't make it through the group stage. Honestly, we're one of the best teams here! Who would have thought that?"

Nobody. But they are first in group three at the moment. Their next games will be aired live again at WET TV7, so everybody can watch their next great victory.

Today's Fleurique national 7ball match came right down to the wire, with regulation play ending at a 6-for-12 tie with Qazaqaz. But all was not lost - extraordinary play from all 14 players on the squad brought down the Qazaqaz 7s for a 17-9 tiebreaker victory for the final match for the day at the Sentinel Indoor Stadium.

The victory brings Les Sevens to a 4-1 season (losing only to the West-East Timor squad). After an off day, they will take on the Silver Rainbow (Kebecois) squad in their final match.

7BALL: ST. KANYE 7S QUALIFY FOR PLAYOFFS

by Jemima Crowley

With a seven-sets-to-five win over the group doormat Imperial 7s of Anglatia, the St. Kanye 7s, composed of players from Claxton U, become the first team in Group 2 to advance to the playoff round of the second International Cup of 7ball in Drawkland. Just behind them in the standings, at 4-1, are the Arcantova 7s, either "goody-frigging-two-shoes" or "a septet of Chuck Norrises, so strong they don't even need weapons", depending on whether you ask Kanyean Captain 7 Dylan Deschanel or Side 7 Albert Kelly. Our 7s will play the Arcantovans tomorrow.

The Kanyeans, dapper and quick as always in their suits and rollerskates, were down to their last boxes of BB gun ammo against Anglatia, forcing them to rely on their ropes, stolen Savalener bats, and the catapult made from discarded Ethanian flamethrowers, in the later sets of the game. The team said that they are planning to buy more ammo as well as other supplies in preparation for tomorrow's game, using the money they have received from donors (thank you, you know who you are, and we hope you continue helping the cause). Says playing coach and Flank 7 Lloyd Targarian, "We must be ready for anything. Anything can happen. Hey, that's the motto of the Surge [St. Kanye's national basketball team], but we're also representing the Glorious Free Republic, so it's all good."

Letters of support? Suggestions for new tricks? Donations to help the team buy real guns? Boob pictures from fans? Send all of those to:

International Cup of 7Ball II

Kébecois Wins Again, Books A Ticket to the Playoffs

- By Axel Serre

Kébecois continues on its Cinderella run recordign a win just a few hours earlier today beating the Qazaqaz 7's in thirteen 7ets. This has helped the Kebecois team, formerly the worst team in 7Ball punch its ticket to the playoffs. The Kebecois 7's team struck a blow on offesne as it kept on with its high-tempo offense, however,c racks in defense were exposed by the Qazaqaz 7's team. However, Kebecois game together in the final four sets to clinch a victory and eliminate any chance of Qazaqaz continuing in the cup.
Kébecois's offense continued to be the key factor in this game. Overwhelming Qazaqaz was the key in the end, a fast-tailored quick-tempo release helped lwad to the 17 point 7et needed to beat the Qazaqaz 7's in the end. Captain Ballouhey continued to be a force to be reckoned on late in the game scoring seven points in the final 7et for a total of twenty-seven points throughout the entire match. What can Captain 7 do in our net playoffs game? That remains to be seen. Look out world! Kebecois is coming at you!
The key to victory is Defense, that's what many say. In this case, defense was horrific on the Kebecois side. It took thirteen sets for Kebecois to beat the Qazaqaz 7's team. THIRTEEN! Something drastic must be done to change this team. Perhaps more man-to-man guarding and something more than boxer briefs. The Kebecois 7's have some of the worst guarding I have ever seen. If Kebecois is to win its first international cup, this needs to stand up. Hopefully this is just first-cup jitters than can be waved off.

"Hello everybody! I am, none other than your charming host, Eno Mear, and today we have some lovely news, regarding the Rannoire 7s, of course. Let's head over right to Drawkland, the host of the competition that is. May Somurs, take it away!"
*The camera switches in front of a hotel, and an interview with Atill Dahun*
"Yes. Thank you, Eno. Now, I am here in front of a hotel where the Rannoire 7s are currently residing at, and it seems as if they are partying. I don't know what's going on."
A man stands next to her. Presumably Atill.
"Yes, you do. We are not partying, we are celebrating because we did not lose our match. But, we are happy. We'd like to thank everyone back at Rannoria for cheering us on, if you did. 7ball is a fun sport, and I'm glad to be a representative of our nation. Thank you, Rannoria. We wish you a good day. Captain Atill Dahun, signing off."
He walks back into the hotel, where he greets his team.
"Ah, well there you go folks. Lovely country, and a nice place to host such an event. Well, that's it in Drawkland. Back to you, Eno Mear."
*The camera switches again*
"Thank you for that lovely exposition, May. So, as you can see on the screen, you may find our position and our scores in the match prior. We may not be on top, but at least we're not cut. Anyway, that's it for 7ball. Regarding Warstokeeh, crime rates have been..."

What a match!

The West-East Timor 7s have won their 5th (fifth) match at the 7-5th International Cup of 7ball against the New Dukaine 7s. It was very close. Really very damn close. Something like this:

West-East Timor 7s 7 2 1 3 7 5 7 1 7 7 7 6 17
New Dukaine 7s 2 7 7 7 3 7 4 7 2 3 3 7 16

OK, exactly like this. 7-6, with the last 7et ending 17-16! What a thrilling match! After they seemed to be much better using some new motorcycles from an unknown make ( they also wanted to place trucks in front of their poles again, but they were stuck in a traffic jam) and won the first 7et 7-2, but after New Dukaines players clonked Lukas Tirnikow and Thomas West in their heads, West-East Timor lost 7ets, but then Hans Schneider and Jan Kanaranaka, who replaced Tirnikow and West, got warm and West-East Timor started to win 7ets again. After 12 7ets the score was 6-6, what means there had to be 17 goals scored to win the last 7et. At the end of this very 7et, the score was 16-16, as Captain 7 Timo Mirniki scored the final goal for West-East Timor. They have won! And they are through the group stage, first in group three. They will play their last group stage match today against the Qazaqaz 7s, it will be aired live at WET TV 7 again, of course.
If you want to do that, you can call us Omnidirectional Timor as well...

International Cup of 7Ball II

Kébecois Earns the Final Victory

- By Axel Serre

Before a large crowd at Senitel Indoor Stadium (34.040), Kebecois proved to once again be the Cindarella of the 7ball tourney beating the tough Les 7's in ten 7ets (7-3). This is Kebecois's fifth straight victory in the tourney after its first loss to the undefeated West-East Timor 7's. Kebecois proved to be the strongest team in the game, quite prepared for facing the Les 7's, a continued high-tempo offense lead the team as it helped knockout the Les 7's from out of the competition.
The offense continued to be the determining factor in this game. The Les 7's were unable to prevent Kebecois's quick opening drive in which Captain 7 Ballouhey, twenty-three snagged a pass from Poleman 7 Alexis. A rough exchange between the two captains led to Kebecois scoring again as it proved impenetrable allowing only three 7ets to be won by the Les 7's. Poleman 7 Alexis lead scoring with sixteen points in the game.
The defense found its stride for the first time in... the 7ball cup! The defense played some of its best this tourney only allowing the Les 7's to score in three 7ets, all unearned. Interceptions and batted down throws led to the defense establishing itself early on and presenting itself. If the defense continues to be potent, a strong Savalen offense should be watchful.
In the quarterfinals, Kebecois draws first blood with its match against Savalen, a strong offensive team. Savalen managed to secure the second spot in Group 2 following beating Ethane 8 7ets losing only one. Savalen has one of the highest potent offenses in the cup and Kebecois should be weary.
Interestingly, Captain 7 Ballouhey, 23 was seen talking to the Les 7's female Goalie 7 Cecille Aflaque, saying it was nothing, they had a long thirty minute conversation. Following the game, he invited her to a private dinner at an upscale restaurant in Drawka City's richer neighborhoods. Whether or not this is nothing more than attempting to consoul a friend has yet to be learned.
