As the Coupe d’Esquarium opens, Pisdara ties in first international spar
Image
Ekur En-Me-Nuna was able to score a goal
late in the match, causing Pisdara to tie
with Vyvland in its first international match.

The Pisdari team, the Pelicans, at the sixth Coupe d’Esquarium in Livancia may do better than expected. In its first game, it has tied with the Vyvlander team one to one, giving hope for Pisdara’s athletic debut.

The game, played at the Qasam al-Qadhar stadium in il-Duhl, saw team captain and forward Ekur En-Me-Nuna score a goal a mere minute a half before the game’s close, ending Vyvland’s 1-0 lead for the majority of the game. Calling it “a miracle”, En-Me-Nuna was quick to thank his fellow players in stopping Vyvland from gaining a 2-point lead during the match. No red or yellow cards were given, and no injuries were reported, as the game proceeded almost robotically, save for the Vyvlander goal early in and the Pisdari goal later during the match. Although the Peilcans did not outright win, the fact that the fresh-from-the-islands Pisdaris can go up against former Spring 2015 champions is a good sign.

The Pelicans will play against Korivania, who today also tied, albeit 2-2 against Montecara, tomorrow at the same stadium.

Imbiegħed, Livancia
Summary of commentary on some sports channel

After months and months of practice, the first major event that the Patriots had to compete in was the sixth Coupe d'Esquarium in Livancia. It was held at 8 am local time (9 pm EST). The Luziycan and Scotian anthems were performed, and then the match began in quiet fashion (unlike the match in Qadim Żift between Ainin and North Qianrong when the adhan was played).

The match began to heat up when John Fraser scored a goal at the thirteen minute mark: just two minutes after, Mario Rusenov scored a goal, evening the score at one all.

A.B. Normal then scored a second goal at the twenty-seven minute mark, raising the score to 2-1 in favor of the Patriots. The action then remained quiet until at the thirty-two minute mark when Li Wen attempted to shoot a goal, but was foiled by James Rostov's valient efforts.

Despite the brave efforts of goalkeeper Grigor An, at the forty-fourth minute, with only seconds to spare in the first half, Li Wen scores a second goal, tying the match at 2-2.

In the second half, John Fraser attempted to score a goal at the forty-nine minute mark, but Tu Alex managed to take possession of the ball, and managed to make a pass to Tyrone Dobrev, who scored another goal right at the fifty-minute mark.

The score was now at 3-2: despite efforts by Scotians to try and even the score, such as the impressive kick by Fraser at the sixty-eight minute mark, it was only at the eighty-sixth minute did the Luzzies finally put in a brave effort, with A.B. Normal scoring a goal for the Patriots. The match ended with a 4-2 victory over the Scotians.

Captain Henry Jung explained to reporters that "we put a great effort on the match tonight, and we have hope that tomorrow's match against Lydland shall go swimmingly. We are very confident that we will win this match, and therefore make it all the way to the Round of Sixteen, and hopefully get some revenge."

MATCHDAY 1: JEWS WIN FIRST MATCH

Image
The match against West Cedarbrook

MINAKBIR, KHUSUBA GOVERNORATE - At the evening game at the Qasam al-Watan, in a stunning humiliation for the hosts, the West Cedarbrookese national team defeated the Livancian national team 2-0. Despite having the names of their players not released, we are going to take a look back at yesterday's match.

Highlights of the first half
Quraish iben Osman at the 13 minute mark attempted to score a goal for the royals, but was deflected by one of the Jewish players in the West Cedarbrookese team. From there, the player began to make a pass to another West Cedarbrookese player, but was intercepted by Yves Baillairgé.

Yves went on to make a pass to Amjad iben Muammar, who attempted to score another goal at the seventeen-minute mark, only for the ball to get intercepted yet again by another Jewish player. Despite the valient efforts of the Livancian Jihadis to keep the Jews from making a score, Muhajir iben Mahmud did a horrible job and managed to let a goal slip at the twenty-two minute mark.

The score was now 1-0 in favor of the Jews. Over the next few minutes, the Livancians attempted to put in an all-out assault on the pitch: once again, at the twenty-nine minute mark, Quraish iben Osman was given a second opportunity to score a goal, but in a shocking turn of events, another Jew was able to seize the ball from Quraish, and then began to advance once more upon the Livancians.

It seems like the goalkeeper was sleeping, since at the 33 minute mark, Muhajir iben Mahmud failed once more to keep the ball from going into the net, giving the Jews an additional point. The first half came to a close with 0 for the Livancians, 2 for the Jews.

And from the second half
This was much less lively than the first half of the match: so much so that it is like watching paint dry. There was very little action as Louis Mahdavi and *sigh* yet another Jew manage to intercept the ball. This resulted by the sixty-third minute the end of all serious efforts to score, and a routine began to form, whereupon the Livancians pass the ball to one of the forwards, and then they get intercepted by the Jew, who then passes the ball to another Jew, only for the ball to return to the possession of the Livancian team, and so on and so forth...

Needless to say, the match ended at a 0-2 loss for the Jihadis.

Senterland Sporting Report
Attack on Coupe pitch. National Front blamed.
Image
Controversial view shared
after football fight by
National Front's
parliamentary leader
Erik Szabo, MCP.

Mohammed Al-Bashir took the pitch despite an attack made by a crazed spectator while the Sentrist squad was entering onto the pitch. The fan, identified as Bram Lankhorst, is a distributor of National Front propaganda which predicts an Islamization of Senterland. Al-Bashir was hit in the leg with a sharp object. Bram Lankhorst's actions were brought to the attention of National Front leader and Member of the Chamber of People's Erik Szabo. "This is what happens when people ignore the modern Jeremiahs' warnings. One Jeremiah will vent... Tolerance of outside ideals by the neo-coumnistic left will prevent these national embarrassments."

Reaction towards the attack, and comments made by a major member of parliament have been fiery. The Shadow Department for nondiscrimination proposed new hate speech legislation relating to distribution of violence begetting anti-islam material. "It's just about traditional for us to hear these words from the National Front and especially from it's demigod, Erik Szabo," Sport, Culture & Performing Arts Minister Martin Han told parliament. "But," he continued "the opposition's attempt to introduce more hate crime legislation though this drama is just as sickening." The Prime Minister, Claudia Bettina Dobias congratulated the national team for it's Coupe debut while also condemning the "nationalistic fever from a sport infiltrating nationalist fringe."

Prejudice in football is rare in Sentelrand. But over the last six to eight years, anti-islam chants, firms and attitudes have arisen in noticalbale numbers. Al-Bashire has been called "Locust eater" by members of a banned Airyassia City firm Purity of The Game. "What racists don't realize is that they've made another symbol now for people who've face prejudice. They've even shown it off at the world's stage." Goalkeeper Bart Riise told reporters after the match. Al-Bashir suffered a gash in his leg which was stitched up and he returned to play on the 13th minute. All reports suggest Al-Bashir will play in the second match against Atlia.

Coaching staff shuffled after hotel conflict.Deputy Manager for Offense Elias Arndt was sent home after a confrontation with starting forward Aksel Humbert after the offense failed to meet Humbert's 3-0 prediction. Reports say that Arndt threatened to violence against Humbert in an argument which went past football. "It's in the best interests of chemistry for Arndt to be sent home early" The position of Offensive Deputy Manager will be absorbed into the Deputy General Manager post. No comment has been made by Arndt at this time.

QIANRONGESE TEAMS DOMINATE GROUP F
THUNDERBIRDS CRUSH EAST NAUTARYA AS FIREBIRDS DEFEAT AININ

Image
The Thunderbirds before their match against East Nautarya

APRIL 25 2016 MINAKBIR, LIVANCIA- The teams sent to participate in the Sixth Coupe d'Esquarium by the Qianrongese Soviet Republic and the traitorous oppressor regime have both triumphed in their first matches of the Coupe, with the Thunderbirds defeating East Nautarya and the Firebirds defeating Ainin, in both situations two to zero.

The Firebirds- the team sent by the traitorous opppressor regime- faced off against the Aininian Coyotes shortly after the traditional Islamic noonday prayer. The match got off to a strong start for the Aininians, with both Emmanuel Brosseau and Xavier Laurent making shots at the goal within the first fifteen minutes; both shots, however, were blocked by goalkeeper Ma Yi-Ping. Qianrong retaliated in the 28th minute, however, when left forward Nhanh Dinh Diem got the ball into the goal past Yves Fontaine. The score remained 1-0 until the second half, when right forward Jasnoran Omejecov successfully got the ball into the goal in the 61st minute. A late-game push by the Aininians, spearheaded by Moustafa Javed- who made three shots on target, all blocked- ultimately failed to get Ainin on the board.

The match between the Thunderbirds and the East Nautaryans followed shortly thereafter, and saw the Thunderbirds convincingly dominate the match. Center forward Deng Chao-Zi took the ball from the Nautaryans shortly after kickoff and managed to score a goal in the 2nd minute. Though the East Nautaryans were prevented from getting to the goal by the Thunderbird defense, the East Nautaryans managed to prevent the Thunderbirds from scoring again until Nguyen Sinh Tan slipped the ball past the Nautaryan goalkeeper in the 55th minute.

As a result of the matches, the Thunderbirds and Firebirds currently sit on top of the rankings in Group F. Many citizens have used the rallying cry "two Qianrongs, two victories" and expressed hopes that both Qianrongese teams will make it to the knockout rounds. Venerable Chairman Long Jiao-Dan also greatly praised the work of the Thunderbirds in defeating the East Nautaryans, saying that the Thunderbirds were "shining proof of Qianrongese athleticism and fitness." He wished them the best of luck in their future matches, and said he was "confident" that they would continue to be a proud reflection of the Qianrongese nation.

The Thunderbirds play the Aininian Coyotes later today; the Firebirds will face off against the East Nautaryans.

Chiefs Drop Match to Crolacia After Initial Win Against Livancia
The Cedarbrookese National Soccer Team, the Chiefs fell today to Crolacia in a 1-0 match following yesterday's win over host Livancia. Fans attending the games seemed pleased with the progress of the Chiefs in their first appearance in 23 years, and not too disappointed in the loss to Group A's only experienced competitor. Ratings for coverage have increased following the initial win, with viewers in Port Yehoshua and Coastal State giving the Chiefs the lead slot in their time period for the second match of the tournament. Team Captain Henri Fromstein told RWC after today's loss "The boys are still pretty upbeat. I mean, holding Crolacia to a 1-0 win is much better than we had hoped for when the groups were announced. And we've got an eye on the ratings back home. This has to be good for West Cedarbrook soccer. It would be great if we could keep our most promising college players in the Kramden for their early careers at least, and not see them all exit fast to Vitoria right after graduation".

Helf Leads Euchenhoffer in Critical Northwest State Libertarian Contest
In political news, the key race for the Libertarian Senate nomination in Edwardsville's near South Side district has heated up, with the challenger, City Councilman Mark Euchenhoffer alleging undue financial assistance for incumbent Carl Helf. Helf, seen as close to former President Louis B. Steinberg, has been one of the Senate leaders promoting regionalism within Conitia. This is in stark contrast to Euchenhoffer, backed by isolationist Wrycova Mayor Harry Kaplan. Euchenhoffer alleges that the former President has directed Libertarian Senate Campaign funds to buy up most of the prime time television spots ahead of the May 18th primary. Helf has been mum on the accusations, continuing to go door to door in the prosperous blue collar district. Observers believe that Steinberg views the seat as crucial to Libertarian hopes in Northwest State and blue collar Galitzianer constituents in general, as the party appears to be preparing it's main assult on the Conservatives in September in the Alsatiano south. An Edwardville Post-Gazette poll in the district shows Helf ahead of Euchenhoffer 48% to 46% as of last week.

Senterland Sporting Report

Some reads may be disturbed by our first new story for it contains some questionable content.
Discretion is advised.

Hotel ransacked by player. National Football committee to pay up.
Image
Jon Larsen wishes he was this anonymous.

A dare turned sour and wild today. Defender Jon Larsen reportedly brought with him a wrestling headgear with a sex object attached. This headdress, called "The Big Rhino" has been used in multiple pranks since his secondary education and gave Larsen spotlight on late night comedy shows in Senterland a decade ago. Jon Larsen and forward Aksel Humbert reportedly brought Big Rhino out of retirement in their hotel with two corralled women. Not having enough juvenile amusement, Humbert purchased a slip & slide and a hose by questionable means.

Using the slip & slide in the hotel, they began to leak water the lower floor. Acording to a witness, the duo failed to inject their object into the sex parts of the women. The failures cause Larsen grabbed a fire extinguisher as security arrived. The duo ran off with the fire extinguisher sucking all oxygen out of the Senterist pair. "I'd imagine the scene was awkward in the elevator," Finhaus International Manager Darko Lillinhammer told us in an exclusive interview, "Two nude women, a starting player and a man with a sex toy on his head. What an embarrassment." The Senterist team was kicked out the hotel. "We apologize for this unbelievable incident." Sentrist Football Commissioner Elia Lindberg told the press "We are making sure this organization pays for damages and I promise strict measures shall be taken to deter players from unprofessional antics." The offending players have been sent home

PG version: Starting forward Aksel Humbert and backup defender Jon Larsen have been sent home for damaging a hotel in a sexual escapade. The Senterist Football Association offers to pay for damages and promises strong disciplinary actions.

Wolfen politicians abuzz, "representation slim."
The Wolfen Council is set to vote on legislation to "... condemn the agitating actions of the Senterist Football Association to promote mainland interests over the talent of players." During a meeting of the Wolfen Council, testimonies were heard which levied the accusations of anti-wolfen prejudice in selecting the Coupe D'Esquarium squad. Wolfen, an ethnicity primarily located in an exclave of senterland, has it's own league primed but lacks a national team. Usually, around 5 to 8 members of the Senterland team are Wolfen resident. In this instance only two were sent, Mohammed Al-Bashir and Tobias Prussinov, along with Lahudica Krausen, captain for the Wolfen Premier League team "Steam Power Club". "Statistically, there are starters in the Wolfen Premier league who could have played defense." Football pundit Daniel Croćaw told the Wolfen Council Sporting Committing at it's meeting on Wednesday afternoon.

"These are false accusations." Team Manager Albert Lindholm told the press on sunday "I was on the selection team. We wanted defenders from Airyassia City because their defense is record setting and has won two titles in a row domestically. They also have some chemistry with our midfield starters." One player who is allegedly been given preferential treatment, defender Mads Helveg-Andersen, had no stubble words for the accusations "I've kept what fells like a few hundred goals from scoring. If that's prejudice, then I must be a very racist man."

MATCHDAY 2: THE JIHADIS WIN FIRST MATCH

Image
The match against West Cedarbrook

MINAKBIR, KHUSUBA GOVERNORATE - A victory was achieved today against the tiny island nation of Pucamha in the Hakera Archipelago, as the Livancian Jihadis score a 3-1 victory over the Pucamha Islanders.

Highlights of the first half
At the seven minute mark, the Pucamhans took a lead as they score a goal. However, this only awakened the Jihadi: Quraish iben Osman wound up seizing an attempt by a Pucamha forward at the eleven minute mark and managed to turn it against them: at the 12 minute mark, the score was tied at one to one.

There was relatively little action for the remainder of the half, save for Amjad iben Muammar's attempt at a goal, which was repelled at the thirty-nine minute mark. The half ended at 1-1.

Highlights of the second half
At the fifty-two minute mark, Amjad iben Muammar broke the tie, scoring a goal for the Jihadis, and bringing the score to 2-1 in our favor. After much celebration on the pitch and in the stands, there was fury as the Pucamhans attempted to score a goal to try and tie the game: Louis Mahdavi managed at the sixty-two minute mark to repel an effort at the goal: it was so close to the goal line!

But after the seventieth minute, there was a decline in action on the pitch, until the eighty-third minute when a Pucamha forward attempts yet another goal to try and even things: José Cartier manages to seize posession of the ball and passes it to Louis Mahdavi, who then passes it to Quraish iben Osman at the eighty-fifth minute. Quraish passed it at the eighty-seventh minute to Amjad iben Muammar: the ball was close to being intercepted, but Amjad was swift in taking control of the ball. By the eighty-eighth minute, Amjad scores a goal, raising the score to 3-1!

The match ended with a 3-1 victory for the Livancian Jihadis.

An incident in Belt tal-Lvant
After an incident where Senterland forward Aksel Humbert and substitute defender Jon Larsen were sent home following an escapade at a hotel, as well as the team being kicked out of the hotel, police chief Ra'adi iben Saddam said to reporters that "what they have done is unforgivable: it caused a massive disturbance in the Karimi Hotel," and stated that the offenders will be deported for violating moral standards and would be issued a lifetime ban from ever returning to Livancia.

In addition, Ra'adi iben Saddam stated that "the Senterland Football Association must pay Đ19,000,000,000 ($2,000,000) in damages to the Karimi Hotel as a result of this incident."

Can the Stallions make it to the knockout rounds?
A victory over Sandhelm would see Atlia advance to the knockouts in its first Coupe

Image
Several Atlian soccer fans with the jerseys and scarves of their preferred Atlian club teams-
All were united to rally in support of the Stallions.

April 25, 2015 | Şehiray, Atlia - When the sixth edition of the prestigious Coupe d'Esquarium began in Livancia, predictions for Atlia's Stallions were bleak. As a debuting team, especially one from such a small country, many expected the Stallions simply would not be tough enough to face down traditional soccer powers. When Atlia was drawn into Group G, many predicted they would buckle under pressure from battle-hardened teams like Pavonistade's Fearless. A prediction from Aucuria's News of the Republic proclaimed that the Fearless and Sandhelm's Foxes would be the two teams to break from the group- though, it conceded, there was always the chance for the Coupe to surprise us all.

And this Coupe, that has indeed been the case. Battle-hardened Crolacia lays at the bottom of Group A, effectively eliminated without a single victory. Nevanmaa's first match, against the far less prestigious Lydish team, saw the Nevans lose 0-2. Lyonsland, who hosted the fifth edition, have failed to win a single match. Vyvland, the team with the most Coupe titles in history, lost 2-0 to the Pisdaris before being blown out of the water by Montecara 6-1. Both North Qianrong's Firebirds and South Qianrong's Thunderbirds defeated the greatly respected and very prestigious Aininian Coyotes. Pavonistade, whose Fearless once took bronze in the Coupe, were defeated 3-2 by the Stallions and now lay at the bottom of Group G.

And as a result of some of these surprises and upsets, Atlia is on top of Group G, and possibly poised to advance to the knockout round of the Coupe in its first time participating- an impressive feat, and one that would upset all the predictions. That, of course, brings us to today's question: can the Stallions make it to the knockout round?

Unfortunately, while some teams have done well enough to guarantee advancement- Kraq, the Qianrongs, Osonia, and Luziyca, respectively- Atlia is not one of them. Presently, Atlia has four points, tied with Sandhelm, and only leads the group because of goal difference. If Atlia loses its next game and Sandhelm wins or ties its next game, then Atlia remains at four points while Sandhelm rises to seven or five points; if Atlia loses or ties its next game and Senterland wins its next game, then Atlia remains at four or rises to five points while Senterland rises to five points, meaning who advances and who fails would be decided by goal difference.

Atlia's next game, somewhat conveniently, is against Sandhelm. As a result, an Atlian victory guarantees advancement to the knockout rounds, because Senterland would not be able to make up the points difference even if they win their next match, against Pavonistade. By contrast, if Sandhelm wins, then Atlia's fate hangs on whether or not Senterland beats or ties Pavonistade. If Senterland ties, then Atlia advances, albeit by the skin on its teeth. But if Senterland wins, then Atlia and Senterland are tied for points and it comes down to goal difference; right now Atlia has a narrow lead, but that narrow lead could vanish entirely if the Stallions have a bad time tomorrow.

So what are the odds that a perfect scenario occurs? Sandhelm's Foxes are indeed a battle-hardened team, having participated in multiple previous Coupes, but that alone was not enough to save the Fearless from their 3-2 loss to Atlia on the first matchday. Both the Foxes and the Stallions have similar records in this Coupe- one win, one draw, four points. Atlia has gotten more goals in than Sandhelm, and has a better goal difference- but Sandhelm has had no goals scored against it yet. Ultimately, it's hard to predict whether the Foxes or the Stallions will emerge triumphant.

The Senterland-Pavonistade match might be even harder to predict. While Pavonistade is at the bottom of the group, it is also true that a cornered animal fights the hardest. And, adding to the chaos, Senterland forward Aksel Humbert and substitute defender Jon Larsen have been deported from Livancia after a bizarre sexual escapade involving dildos, a waterslide, and a fire extinguisher (look it up- we're not joking). With two players missing and the team expelled from their hotel, the Senterist team may be in a very poor condition for tomorrow's match.

Regardless, Atlia's players are confident. Speaking to a press conference following the Atlia-Senterland match, center forward and captain Abdilâh Aydoğan said he was sure that Atlia would advance. "We have truly been blessed by God to have this wonderful opportunity, and I am convinced that every single person on this team has the skill and the drive to make our dreams into a reality." Coach Anar Bölükbaşı echoed Aydoğan's statements, saying that the Stallions had "struck some fear into the Fearless" and were "more than ready to take on any opponent the Coupe can throw at them." No doubt these opinions are shared by the thousands of Atlian fans who traveled to Livancia to see the Coupe in person and the thousands more cheering the Stallions on from home.

The Atlian Stallions play Sandhelm's Foxes tomorrow. The match will be broadcast by the Atlian Radio and Television Corporation, as well as by Aucuria National Radio and Television, Independent Aucuria Television, and Sports Network Aucuria.

Redemption or Damnation: After tonight's loss to Pisdara, how will we fare against Vyvland?
Image
Logo of the Korivanian ShadowEagles.

Qasam al-Qadhar, Livancia Tonight was an unexpected and disappointing loss for the Korivanian ShadowEagles, losing 2-1 to the team from Pisdara. Many in the sports analyst community were shocked as well at the unexpected Pisdaran victory. But in truth, what has been done has been done, and our ShadowEagles played their hardest against the Pisdaran Pelicans. Now, let's see what the future holds for the Korivanian ShadowEagles. Tomorrow, our beloved ShadowEagles will be going up against the Vyvlander team. The Vyvlander team has been through many CdEs and has a large track record of success, so in this match the odds would be against the Korivanian ShadowEagles. However, this doesn't mean that it's a given that the team from Vyvland will crush Korivania in tomorrow nights match. When the ShadowEagles entered their first Coupe d'Esquarium, they were not expected to do as well as they did by the majority of analysts. However, the ShadowEagles surprised a lot of people when they crushed Montezelo in the ShadowEagles first game ever. However, most were not surprised when the Korivanian team defeated the team from Vitoria, considering that's the CdE is the only time when the nation of Vitoria was even somewhat relevant.

Snarky comments aside, although the balance of power may be in Vyvland's favor tomorrow night, there is still a significant chance that the Korivanian ShadowEagles will surprise the world once again, and they may just end up defeating the team from Vyvland.

Pisdara wins 2-1 over Korivania, may make Group of Sixteen
The Pelicans are sure partying tonight. The Pisdari football team has just beaten Korivania 2-1 in today’s match, continuing a successful bucking of expected failure to tie with former champs yesterday during its match with Vyvland and now win against one of the previous Coupe d’Esquarium’s stronger contenders in the group stage.

Scoring a goal early into the game, the Pelicans faced heavy resistance by the Korivanians, who were able to score a goal and tie the game mid-way through. Despite this, the Pisdari offensive stayed strong, with forward Ekur En-Me-Nuna coming to the challenge and scoring another goal quickly after the Korivanians leveled the field. With their first international win, the Pelicans are currently riding a streak that may now take them to the Group of Sixteen and even the finals if luck is on the side of the Pisdaris. The team colgatulated Korivania on playing such a great and sportsmanlike match (no major instances arose between the two teams or their fans) and wished them luck on their match tomorrow against Vyvland.

The Pelicans themselves will play against Montecara tomorrow once again at Qasam al-Qadhar stadium in il-Duhl. Montecara, a well-known name in Coupe d’Esquarium, defeated Vyvland in their match 6-1, showing that they are starting strong. Despite the heavy competition, the Pelicans stated they will hopefully make it to the Group of Sixteen.

Korivanian ShadowEagles defeat Vyvalnd 2-0
Image
Two members of the ShadowEagles celebrating their victory after last nights game.

Qasam al-Qadhar Last night, the Korivanian ShadowEagles defeated, or as an excited ShadowEagles fan put it, "destroyed" the Vyvlander team, in an unexpected victory that had even the ShadowEagles manager, Matthew Conicalaj, surprised.

In the first half of of the match, there was heavy resistance from both the Korivanian side, and the Vyvlander side. As a result, the game was in a stalemate, and many thought it would end in a tie. But in the latter part of the middle portion of the game, the tide started to change in the ShadowEagles favor. This happened when ShadowEagles player Josef Patan managed to maneuver past the Vyvlander players and score the first goal for the Korivanian ShadowEagles. A substitute DF player who was sitting on the bench Artim Feraj commented on it, saying "It was like he was pointed one direction the next, and then one way the other. Next thing you know, he scores a goal and you hear the crowd go crazy." A possible reason for this sense of surprise is probably because many people expected that the game would stay in a stalemate and end up a tie, or even that the ShadowEagles might lose. Later on, the ShadowEagles scored another goal, and the game ended with a 2-0 victory for the Korivanian ShadowEagles. Another result of this match was that Vyvland was booted out of the Coupe d'Esquarium.

Despite this shocking and amazing victory for the Korivanian team, another challenge lies ahead. On April 28th, they will be going up against another nation that, like Vyvland, is also a skilled team. However, despite debuting back in CdE V, Lydland has been doing a little better than Korivania during this CdE. However, our analysts believe that this match will most likely be a toss-up, a will likely be a close match.
