Recent form drop

Postby Larnion » Tue May 03, 2016 9:50 am

Summary by Larnioni News One

After a well-started season we have seen Larnion on the top spot of the LCRUA Football League. However, with increasing fixtures the team lost its pace and fell in three matches in a row. First against New Fufladland - 0:1, then against Theocretes - 1:3 and in the last week they lost against Malutia Lusia Cialty with the score at 1:2. We prepared a few questions for the team members, who decided to talk about the recent form drop.

Áron Tomassa, midfielder
We're screwin' up, whatmore to say. We played decent stuff until the fatigue came in. Honestly, we can't do better anymore, we're all too tired. Tis' team is all new and the guys are still settlin' in, we've done some serious mistakes, and the league gettin' underway, we just can't get the hang o' it.

Coriolis Tevesco, team manager
I hope no one expected we would dominate. This league is our very first competition on the international field, and the players know that. We all refer to this season as a testing one, more focusing on skill trainings and tactics. Also, we were not able to score goals effectively, so that went for another sessions, and these folks have had enough of it. We will be glad to finish the season not last, because they are not in the condition to keep up the same level of play for the whole season. Not yet.

Maast Odenpii, substitute-striker
The more we play, the worse we play, at least the starting eleven. I'm telling ya these guys can't move. For the next match, we're coming with a completely different lineup, and us subs who have not been playing much are gonna let those mates rest a bit. We'll see at the next fixture!

Sydaei vs New Fuladland 0-1

7 Larnion 11
8 Yymea 9

With Yymea firmly sitting at the bottom of the league, the disappointment of the defeat against Linnuis has hit the team hard. The linnuan crowds were euphoric, and their shouts rang throughout the stadium, intimidating the yymeans, despite the rampant hooliganism in yymean football matches. Yymea played well, although a bit too defensively, attacking on few occasions, of which none came to fruition, because of the great game the linnuan keeper played. Linnuis attacked fiercely, but the yymean goalkeeper managed to save the team from a linnuan goal on the first half. The second half was more or less the same as the first half, and it appeared that the match would end in a draw, but a counterattack by Linnuis on minute '89 led to a linnuan forward scoring a great goal from outside the box, sentencing the match.

Larnion vs Krypton Nova 2-3

Postby Krypton Nova » Sun May 08, 2016 11:45 pm

The Novans played offensive this time, and it payed off as they were able to score three times. However, it had the negative impact of a lowered defence that wasn't up to notch with the team from Larnion. Though some of Larnion's team looked visibly fatigued, their good teamwork allowed them to score twice. Overall, it was an excellent match with good chances for both sides.

Zosimos, primary goalkeeper for the Novans, was injured by an unfortunate misstep on the stairs down to the dressing rooms after the match, and won't be able to play for the rest of the season.

Yymea, although still sunk in the very depths of the league, played a very solid match, which it won. Yymea played aggressively in the first half, scoring the first goal on minute '6, a fantastic counterattack from the first Novan offense, and the second one in minute '37, from inside the box. The Yymean players began playing more defensively after that, as they were rather tired from their hectic pace at the start, and managed to stop the excellent Novan team. All in all, the match is a breath of fresh air for the demoralized yymean team, but it doesn't change much.

We finally lost!
NOOOOO!
The outlaws were playing as normal, making some close shots in '23 and '45 but it all ended when New Fufland made a phenomenal goal in minute '88
The score demoralized Theocretes, and they couldn't seem to bring they're game back afterwards.

Yymea played an incredibly dull match, in which neither team shined, and neither team did anything of note. There was not a single worthwhile occasion, no interesting events, surprisingly, no hooliganism, no incidents between players in the pitch, there was absolutely nothing of note. This match has, however, been slightly beneficial for the yymean team, as the point will potentially be useful if they plan to overtake Krypton Nova. All in all, a boring game.

Nothing special about this game at all
If anything, it was the most boring game of the Outlaws entire season
No goals were scored, although many shots did come close
The Outlaws are looking forwards, ready for the next game

Yymea has, finally, and after much effort and suffering, managed to make some progress in the league. The yymeans were going against Larnion, a team that has been passing through a bad spot recently, and it showed in the match. The yymeans started fairly well, playing at a solid pace, and defending from Larnioni attacks, mainly using counterattacks to threaten the opposite team. This, however, didn´t net them any goals, and Larnion had come very close to scoring on multiple occasions. The yymeans adopted a more agressive stance in the second half, passing the ball fluidly and having many dangerous chances. These came to fruition on minute 68, from the boot of Ils Kgiglmbil, who had recieved the ball from Muisil jaibil, and scored from inside the box. The second goal came on minute 88, scored by Ililail Bujdil, passed to him by Ail jmnubjil.

The yymean team shined like it had never done this season, and delivered a heavy blow to the theocretian team. The yymeans played well from the start, but the goal didn´t come in the first half, although there were a few close occasions, the most remarkable being a shot by Ililail Bujdil which hit the post. The second half, however, started with a goal by Muisil jaibil, a wonderful shot from outside the box, from a long pass by Imnil bujil, on minute 48. Soon, on minute 51, forward Ikil Bjudila scored from a free kick, which had been close to being a penalty. The yymean team had a few chances after that, but the third goal didn´t come until minute 69, in which a shot by Ail jmnubjil rebounded on the goalkeeper, an opportunity which the nearby Imnil bujil didn´t waste, scoring a fantastic header. The final goal was also scored by Imnil bujil, from a corner kicked by Il Ilgig, which went slightly off mark, but didn´t stop the yymean forward, who scored a great goal from inside the box.
The hope of yymeans for their team has surged once again, with many celebrations throughout the country.

Match breakdown #4 - Linnuis' double fixture

Postby Larnion » Tue May 31, 2016 8:28 am

Summary by Larnioni News One

Our Folks Don't Give Up!
Even though the Larnioni team dropped from the top to the bottom quite fast, the team still does not give up their hope to finish the season decently. Showing this off was the goal during the double fixture with the Linnuan team, which held the second spot at the time. The first match, played on our home pitch, has been decided within the first 45 seconds, when our team captain Lumenic Traether obliterated the opposition with a well-aimed strike from almost forty metres. This completely freezed the opponent, which has only been able to come up with a few counterattacks. Larnionis had several more chances then, but only a post hit on 58' was recorded as a significant attempt to change the score.

The second match against the same team went underway on their field, and this battle was one of the most memorable matches the Larnioni team played so far. Both teams shot an overwhelming 27 shots and an astonishing 7 post hits. The keepers on both sides shined out with sparkling performances. However, the home team emerged victorious, as their topstar striker Basset fired a missile that went off the keeper and in on 90+4'. Our boys were a bit disappointed, but extremely proud of their performance of the rival's pitch and congratulated them for such a beautiful match.

Coriolis Tevesco, team manager
While we're at it - the last match was a perfect example of how should we play. There was just one thing that both teams needed, and that was a bit of luck! This match could have ended in a 4:4 draw, and I'm not joking now. Both the keepers starred today, and I think there were some spectacular saves. Also, whenI compare this match with the opening fixture, I am satisfied. The players grew rapidly, their tactics and play style is dynamic, thoughtful and yet pretty simple. They matured as sportsmen, and we're looking forward to the next season, no matter the final standings.

Liberti Axellis, midfielder
We didn't care about the loss tonight at all. We gave our souls into the match, and the Linnuans did so. Fantastic, I never enjoyed a game so much. That's why decided in advance to compete the next year. Larnionis love the game!

News Report on the Syadec National Team's official website, FC.sya.

Syadec National team beat by convincing Larnion side.

The match against the Larnion national team was a very important one, after the Syadec national team easily drifted past the very poor Theocretean team in the previous match day. However, the Syadec national team fell short and failed to take advantage of the fact that both the Linnius national team and the MLC national team had drew nil-nil with each other. A win on this most recent match day would have allowed the Syadec national team to moved up into second place and closed the gap at the top of the table to within two points of the top of the league.

Majority of the Syadec national team could not be reached for the conference, however manager Gareth Paarthurnax and striker Miroslavik Faare were available to provide a brief statement for FC.sya.

Manager Paarthurnax - Manager of SFC.

It was a very disappointing loss to the Larnion national team that haven't been doing so well as of recent, now sixth place in the league, they've managed to prove that form isn't everything. They have obviously worked hard in training and they have managed to defeat us, despite the fact that we have had more to work and fight for. I understand that it is now mathematically impossible for us to finish at the top of the league, but football is a huge sport in Syadei and there is constant funding going into it; so hopefully we will be able to develop and take the league next season.

Miroslavik Faare - Striker.

As the manager said, it was a very disappointing loss, and they outscored us. This is not a game based purely on form, it's a game based on who plays best on the night. We could dominate the game in terms of passing and possession, but they outscored us on the night and they took the three points which was well deserved. I got the two goals, but unluckily we couldn't remain solid in defense and we couldn't score enough, so we ultimately took the loss.

The end is near, but the team has just begun

Postby Larnion » Tue May 31, 2016 9:02 am

Summary by Larnioni News One

Following the recent happenings in the LCRUA Football League, our team holds the fifth spot out of eight in the standings with just a single match to go. Although the team has a form of 2 wins and 2 losses in the last four matches, making it a rollercoaster when it comes to point collecting, the team is particularly proud of their position and looks forward to the final fixture.

The last match they have played was the one in Syadei, the country that always knows how to surprise their opponents. However, the team manager Tevesco made an unexpected change, when he moved Stefaën Millisci on the position of Lamiscus Revenica. Millisci, originally a defensive midfielder, completely changed the game picture and scored a hattrick in what was a showdown of his header abilities. The fourth goal, second in the match though, was scored by Revenica who suprisingly went for a counterattack after deflecting a shot in the team's own penalty box.

The Syadecs still played a very decent match and their skill on the ball surpassed the Larnionis with the ball possession standing on 63-37 for the home team, but the three-man breaks of our team with Millisci as the two-metre tall striker pierced the defence three out of four times Larnion scored a goal. The game could have been even more dramatic though, as our team was up by three in the first thirty minutes (Millisci 11', 29', Revenica 24') but Syadecs brought it back to a one goal margin. It was not until the penultimate minute when Larnionis managed to push the opponent heavily and forced them to a fatal mistake.

Lumenic Traether, team captain & stopper
We still look to snatch the top half, we do! Let's win the last match!

New Fuladland vs Krypton Nova: 1-1

Postby Krypton Nova » Tue May 31, 2016 9:07 am

The tired and demoralised Novans started the match off pretty bad, and the team from New Fufladland scored a goal already in the first 10 minutes. After that their play style became increasingly lousy with quite a few mistakes. Just after the second half had started, the Novans managed to use one such mistake to score a goal. The rest of the match both teams started playing a lot better, with a few chances and even a little aggression here and there, but neither of them managed to make another goal.

With the LCRUA football league reaching its final conclusion, the yymean team managed to net one last victory and improve morale for next season. The Sydaeic team was strong from the first minute, and proved a hard rival for the yymean team. Although the yymeans didn´t shine in the first half, they stopped the various offences of Sydaei, and made quite a few promising advances upon the rival team, which didn´t lend many fruits. In the second half, however, the yymeans revitalized themselves, and this was soon compensated by a goal on minute 51, courtesy of Ils Kgiglmbil, from a rather complicated free kick. The yymeans put good pressure on Sydaei, not allowing them to move the ball with fluidity, and were very dangerous on attack. In minute 76, the yymeans scored from a counterattack, with Ail jmnubjil passing the ball to Ilsla Ikmil, who scored a fantastic goal.
