The East Astyrian Football League (also known as EAFL) is the governing body of an international football coalition & has the ultimate responsibility for the control and development of association football within the nations of the Blackhelm Confederacy, Bungussi, Colchester Landing, Cote de Coivre, Jalafa, Kwalawi, Nova Deseret, Nynorsk Ostlijord, Polarus, Red River Free State, San Joaquin Valley and the Scottopian Isles. It is one of the largest sporting organizations in the region of Astyria, with all countries located in the eastern hemisphere. Established in 2015, the members of the EAFL include all clubs teams, affiliated national associations and various affiliated leagues.

The EAFL sits on the International Football Association Board, which is responsible for the laws of the game, as an observer state, while all affiliated national associations are full members. The EAFL is also a member of the Astyrian International Football Association (AIFA) in the same manner. Its headquarters are based in Scottopia City, Scottopian Isles with regional centers in Paradise City, Blackhelm Confederacy & Fresno, San Joaquin Valley.

The East Astyrian Football League is also responsible for the operation of the annual cup tournaments and several other duties important to the functioning of the game such as the Mens and Womans National teams at the World Class, Under-21, Under-19 and Under-17 levels. The association has also affiliated itself to the developmental leagues in each country.

The East Astyrian Football League comply of 64 professional club teams in 4 league tiers. All leagues apply to all rules set down by the International Football Association Board. All league games are played on a point system; 3 Points for a Win, 1 Point for a Draw, 0 Points for a Loss. Placements are decided upon points. If teams are tied on points, they shall go to Goal Difference. If the 2 teams in question happen to have the same Goal Difference, it will be decided upon Goals Scored. In the unlikely event they are still tied, the record between the teams will be the dinnertime factor.

The Premiership, is the elite professional competition league for association football clubs in East Astyrian Football League. Featuring 16 teams, it is the top level of the EAFL pyramid, above the EAFL Gold, Silver, Bronze & Developmental Leagues. Each team will play each other two times, once at Home and once Away, for a total of 30 Games in a season for a total of 90 available points.

The EAFL First Division, also known as the Gold League, is the secondary tier of football for the organization. The league has 16 teams who also play each other two times a season, once Home and once Away for a total of 30 Games each and a total of 90 Points. The third teir, the Second Division or Silver League, along with the Third Division or Bronze League, also have 16 teams each, who play each other once at Home and once Away for 30 Games and a total of 90 points available.

At the end of the season, the Premiership and the other divisions integrate with a Promotion/Relegation system. The 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place teams of the Gold League will be Promoted to the Premier League with the 14th, 15th & 16th Place teams in the Premier League will be relegated to the First Division. The same exists for the lower leagues, just as the Premier League integrates with the First Division, as does the Second Division. The 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place teams of the Silver League will be promoted to the First Division, with their 14th, 15th and 16th Place teams of the First Division being relegated to the Second Division. The same is true on the same principle for promotion/relegation in the Bronze League or Third Division to the Second Division. This Promotion/Relegation System ensures fresh competition for each upcoming season.

The East Astyrian Football League is open to the concept of expansion to additional leagues, but has no plans to do so at the moment.

The Premiership, First, Second and Third Divisions all parpicitate for their respected League Cup by playing opponents in the regular season. Clubs play one home & one away match against each team in their league. The winner, determined by points, will be awarded the Premiership Cup, the 'Gold Cup' for the First Division, the 'Silver Cup' for the Second & the 'Bronze Cup' for the Third Division depending on which league is in question.

After the final game of the season, 3 awards will be issued to clubs reguardless of their league that make the required qualifcations. The Golden Boots will be awarded to the team that scores the most goals, with Goal Differnce being the tiebreaker. The Golden Gloves will be issued to the team with the Fewest Goals Conceded with Goal Differnce being the tiebreaker. Finally, the Supporters Sheild will be given to the team with the Best Home Record during the regular season.

The top 3 teams from the First, Second & Third Divisions will gain promotion to the higher ranked tier above them after the completion of the regular season. Likewise, the lowest 3 clubs in the Premiership, First & Second Divisions will be relegated to the lower ranked tier to ensure fresh competition in each continuing season.

Sterling Quaich

The Sterling Quaich, Scots-Gaelic for Silver Cup, is the first tournament following the completion of the regular season. A selection committee by the East Astyrian Football League will choose a Host City/Stadium for the tournaments final match. In a drawing event, clubs will be paired with their opponents, listing them in the order drawn, with the team that is drawn first being the home side. All rounds follow the same concept, where a single elimination game will be played to determine the winner. Once a round has been completed, the next avaliable remaining club on the drawing list will be the competitions choice.

Trophes de Champions

The Trophes de Champions, French for Champions Trophy, is a highly contested award that is open to the winners of the member associations National Cups so that one club team will represent their nation. A selection committee will choose a host city/stadium for the games final match before drawing the teams into 3 Groups of 4 Teams.

Teams will compete twice, once at home and once away against the opposing teams within the group for a total of 6 games each. The top team from each group will progress to the Semi-Finals, along with the runner-up from any group with the best record. An additional 2 match playoff based on aggerate, once at home & once away, between Semi-Finalists will determine the winners who will proceed to the Cup Final in a single match event.

Copa del Este

The Copa del Este, Spanish for Cup of the East, is a Group + Knockout style tournament for the East Astyrian Football League that involves all association members, first beginning in a series of qualification games.

First Qualification Round
Teams will be randomly paired in a single elimination match going from 64 competitors to 32

Second Qualification Round
Teams will be randomly paired in a single elimination match going from 32 competitors to 16

Group Stage
At this point, the remaining teams will be positioned in 4 Groups of 4 against other competitors. Clubs will play one game against their group opponents for a total of 3 matches each. Group winners & runners up will advance to the knock-out stages.

Terra Indicium

One of the most highly anticipated events of the season, the Terra Indicium, Latin for Cup of Nations, is a 4 Round, Group + Knockout style tournament for the National Teams of the EAFL member associations. A host nation will be selected by the EAFL Committee, where a drawning event will take place to position the 12 countries into 3 Groups of 4 Teams. Much like the Copa del Este, teams will compete 1 match against each opposition within their group.

Group Winners & Group Runners-Up will proceed to the Quarter-Finals along with two Third Placed teams with the best group stage record. Composition of the Quarter-Finals play-off will be decided by the EAFL Committee prior to the tournament. All games henceforth after are single elimination, where the match winners will gain access to the Terra Indiciumd Semi-Finals & Finalsff.

The East Astyrian Football League proudly takes part within the Astyrian International Football Association through delegation of its member associations. The AIFA hosts annual tournaments known as the Champions League & the Silver League to which the EAFL is allocated a combined 10 positions in the tournaments.

The top 10 teams in the EAFL Premiership will be awarded positions to these tournaments. The previous seasons Premiership Champions along with the 2nd, 3rd & 4th place teams will be placed in the AIFA Champions League, while the 5th-10th place teams will be entered into the AIFA Silver League. Although the EAFL is a multi-national league consisting of 12 football associations, all members consent to prize placement reguardless of orign.

Announcments from the 2016 East Astyrian Football League Summit:

I) Club Placements for Premiership, 1st Division, 2nd Division & 3rd Division

Inaugural Season begins first weekend of August

II) Sterling Quiach

The tournament committee has drawn the First Round, as well as the location of the Tournament Finals Host. The hosts will be Colchester Arena, home to Colchester Landing FC & Colchester Colonials.

First Round Begins in 2nd Weekend of February

III) National Cups & Trophees de Champions Host

The location for the Trophees de Champions Final will be hosted by Estadio Esperanza, home of Cuidad de Fresno & FC Fresno.

The member associations will each decide upon Fixtures & Dates for the National Cups at a later time after the Sterling Quiach has completed. Tournament to be hosted between March & April

IV) Copa del Este Drawing & Location

The Scottopian Isles was selected by the EAFL committee prior to the drawingto play host to the Copa del Este. Scottopian officials have declared Scottopia City as location for the final, with New Greenock & MacKenzie City playing host to Semi-Final games.

2016 National Cups

As the East Astyrian Football League is a multi-national football association, a series of tournaments are competed for by the individual clubs that perside within a paticular nation. The event is organized by the respected nations football assocation but is sponsered by the EAFL.
