The purpose of this thread is to put up rosters for team sport events which have greater than four athletes, such as team sports and all other events where the nation name was used during the sign-ups. There will be a roleplay bonus applied for the information supplied in this thread. Also, this thread is also where you can place information about your delegation, such as the flag-bearer, coaches, officials, judges, etc. Any post made in this thread will be linked to on the roleplay thread's OP for ease of use.

With Cosumar's senior squad recovering from a deep World Cup run, we will send U23 sides to Electrum for the Olympics. Many of these players helped Cosumar win the Di Bradini Cup (U21) last year. Impressing here in the Olympics could go a long way towards helping a young player make the senior side for the upcoming AOCAF.

Note: Cosumar's national team is usually mixed-gender, but we will field separated sides here only as a nod of respect to Olympic customs.

The United Kingdom Of Ethane Olympic Delegation
All information provided has been officially approved by the Ethane Olympic Federation.

Ethane is a United Kingdom, based off the model of The United Kingdom. Ethane is run by a democratically elected government, with a constitutional monarchy, which has no power. Ethane is known for its compassion and niceness, as well as devotion to civil rights and political freedoms, as well as a strong focus on the upmost protection of the environment. Ethane is located in the region of Nordic Model. The Ethanians teams are known as the Red Kites, named after the national animal of Ethane. They tend to present themselves in Purple, Red, White and Blue uniforms, which are the national colours of Ethane, with occasional streaks of green. However, the national colours do often change regularly. The Olympic Headquarters are based in London, which is the capital of Ethane. The Ethane teams are fairly defensive in all sports, with a style modifier of -3 in all sports they play. This is the debut Olympic games for Ethane, and the Ethanian team will be looking to make a great first impression by impressing at these Olympics.

In the continual efforts to gain exposure to the outside world The Colony of Ferret Civilization will try to get involved in as many outside events as possible. In order to do this in a way where it could provide the most exposure without overwhelming anybody the goal is to start out slowly. In a large event such as these Games of the Olympiad, it was considered best to start out small to figure out how to work in such events. The goal here is not to win but to learn about whatever they can, any winning will for now just be an extreme bonus.

Informations about the Kriegiersien Team

Flag bearer:
Brie von Zart, two times and defending Olympic champion in Heavyweight Boxing, will be the flag bearer. Unbeaten, this colossal woman stands for everything Kriegersien wants to represent. Strength, Endurance, Will, Success, Cleverness.
If there is anyone who deserves it more, who is more expected to win Gold ... you won't find him in this team.

Jerseys:

The Uniforms, once just compulsory for the woman beach volleyball team, are now used for every athlete.
"We have to save money and cloth, so this jersey it is. Besides, these are the summer Olympics."

The Veterans:

In Weightlifting, shooting, fighting sports and gymnastics, the Top Athletes of Kriegiersien are still on board. It fits the military background and most of the athletes are in their second or third Olympics. Often these Professionals understand Sport as art, having an Alias. Mainly consisting of humans and sometimes "Paralympic" athletes.
"Just because someone has 99% cybernetic implants or prosthetics we shouldn't call him a robot. Beside the real robots, I mean. Who we of course also accept as full members of our open society."

The Equestrian squad:

As cavalry is not used so often any more in war, Kriegiersien is happy to have friendly little ponys competing for them again at the Olympics, immigrating to Kriegiersien after an invitation of the government.
"They now stroll around in a beautiful little landscape, which we absolutely not forcefully took in a brutal, unfair war from terrible Creatures of the night for them."

The backup:

After the last Zombieinvasion Kriegiersien struggled to exist. Only thanks to the upgraded moon canon (the investment in it was gold worth) extinction could be avoided. Zombiebot suicide squads were used to reestablish some sort of order.
These, from the best scientists modified, Zombiebots are now participating as athletes in many events.
„They are absolutely harmless and quiet quiet. We have edited them, so that every single unit is competitive in their own sport. They are not able to help in team events and shot .. shut down after the event, but of course we will take care of them and clean up.“

The team sports (mostly something with balls):

Many good athletes were lost, many teams dissolved in the last conflict. Luckily there are no qualifications games needed to qualify for the Olympics (in difference to some World Championships), so squads could be send to any event.
The teams are a combination of the best left Kriegiersien athletes and naturalized players from other countries. Especially athletes from Electrum and Gelderland, who missed the qualification standards for their own National Team are able to help out and represent over 70% of the players.
Many of this pretty reasonably good athletes suddenly discovered their excitement for the Kriegiersien way, like for the beloved comedy show “All Bigtopians have little feet”, remembering Great-Great-Uncles who once lived in Kriegiersien or other connections.

For example the captain of the Kriegiersien Basketball team living in Centralis, is married to a woman who once studied 2 semester Folk music in the Kriegiersien Capital Schoenwetter.
The Goalkeeper of the hockey team works in a Kriegiersien-Style Diner in Nassau Bay were fried Scorpions are served.
As many others they proudly represent Kiwigistan (or something like that) at the Olympic Games.
„We don't need to pay them housing and flight, as they live here anyway and they can fully take advantage of the home advantage.“

Alongside Hockey, football is another popular sport in Mattijana and although it's national league is not the world's biggest, it is popular and has lead to a solid foundation for the Mattijanan teams. The traditional Mattijanan way is to build a team from the Goalkeeper upwards and to encourage attractive and direct passing and running play from a young age. Andreas Weiss is vwry much the star man in the men's team and is a proven goalscorer for club and country. The big question is whether he and the team can perform at high pressure tournament level.

Football (or soccer; both are interchangable and Elejamians won't mind which one you choose) is the second most popular sport in Elejamie, just behind ice hockey and ahead of rugby. League One is the oldest sports league in Elejamie that's still running; starting in 1930 under the Elejamian Football League name, being renamed "Elejamian Football League One" in 1960 with the formation of a second division (League Two), dropping the "Elejamian Football" part of the name just before the start of the 1994/95 season. A third division (League Three) started in 2000.

Keeping with IRL Olympic conditions and to keep it relatively fair, the Elejamian FA has chosen eighteen of the best from League Two and University League teams, with two players - Guillermo Cruz Gracián and Alan Bockarie - coming from League One teams and three players - Dan Hadek, Jonny Thornton and Alan Bockarie - being over the age of 23.

As everyone knows, ice hockey is by far the most popular sport in Elejamie, with the national team being in the top 10 (ranked #7) and, most recently, finished third in the 28th World Cup of Hockey; after losing both games to hosts and eventual winners Valanora, the Icy Elephants won their series against Nova Anglicana 2-1, losing the first game but winning the second and third. With the 29th WCoH and quite possibly the Winter Olympics on their way, it's safe to say that Elejamie will be a powerhouse in NS ice hockey for a long time. All this despite being a warm Pacific island nation of <2,000,000.

Field hockey, however, isn't as popular as a competitive sport. Along will inline/street hockey, it's normally played by ENIHL players during the off-season and there are is a University League for field hockey, but there is no professional field hockey league. As a result, the team is mostly made up of ice hockey players who have been taught how to play field hockey; the rest has been filled up . Depending on how the team manages, a proper field hockey team will be assembled by the next Summer Olympiad.

Rugby is the third most popular sport in Elejamie, just behind ice hockey and football (soccer). Whilst rugby union is the most popular code and rugby league has a small but loyal fanbase, rugby sevens is mostly played for fun rather than as part of any domestic competition. Despite this, the sevens team - consisting entirely of players in the EJ-POWR Rugby Championships, the top flight of rugby in Elejamie - is able to put on quite a show, notably winning the Plate at the Londinium 7s (only missing out on the Cup stage on point difference). Currently, they're at the Port Louis Rugby Sevens in Racao where they've won Group 2, beating favourites Natanians and Nosts, and are up against the hosts in the cup semi-finals; once the tournament is over, they'll be flying straight over to New Gelderland.
